    I couldn't be happier with this game. The stories, characters, voice acting, graphics, animations, world-building, gameplay, sound effects, music, everything about this game is well done and makes for an overall very fun game that I can't stop playing. 20 hours into it now and see no reason to stop any time soon. Is the game perfect? Not at all, but I give it a 10 anyway because it'sI couldn't be happier with this game.     This game is amazing, its everything i wanted in a sequel to DL. I'm invested in the story, I love the characters. the gameplay is fantastic. I'm so happy with how this came out. It looks phenomenal on a 4k TV. Good job Techland, cant wait to see what you do with it in the next 5 years.

    Open world games have gotten incredibly stale over the past decade--everyone knows it. Run here, fetch this, kill these, climb this, talk to them, etc. etc. The names and faces change, but 99% of open world games are fundamentally the same (with some marked exceptions, i.e. BoTW, Nier: Automata, RDR2, etc.).

    Gameplay: Hands down the most **fun** I've had in an open world game since...    Open world games have gotten incredibly stale over the past decade--everyone knows it. Run here, fetch this, kill these, climb this, talk to them, etc. etc. The names and faces change, but 99% of open world games are fundamentally the same (with some marked exceptions, i.e. BoTW, Nier: Automata, RDR2, etc.).

    Gameplay: Hands down the most **fun** I've had in an open world game since... ever? The traversal/movement system in this game is far and away the new gold standard. Not even games lauded for their traversal, like Spiderman, match the exhilaration that you feel when simply moving from point A to point B in this game. Melee feels incredibly dynamic and kinetic **for a first-person game**. I will say however that in future iterations I would love to see the developers expand the player's stealth toolkit. Considering the obscene degree of mobility and verticality present in this game, I found myself desperately wishing that I could have had more ways to engage human enemies strategically--think tripwires, environmental traps, smoke bombs, etc.

    Writing: I feel like I must be losing my mind, because I keep seeing people talk smack about the writing quality... But the writing is really good? Like, it's no Infinite Jest, sure, but you know that issue in open world games where side quests generally suck? Yeah, that's not a thing here. Nearly every single side quest I've played so far--even short "throwaway" quests--has felt meaningful. Also, be sure to listen to NPCs side conversations when you're walking/running around. It's amazing how much care and attention went into them.

    And oh my god the soundtrack. Absolutely beautiful.

    And the world? C'monnnnn. Have you ever jumped across rooftops in a post-apocalyptic medieval eco-punk city before? Well, now you can!    … Expand

    Another solid entry in the Dying Light series. It improves on almost all aspects of its predecessor without revolutionising anything. If you liked DL1 you'll love Dying Light 2. I believe that some of the small issues as well as 1080p resolution on new generation of consoles take the score down a notch. 8/10 seems fair to me.

    playing. Games hardly ever hold my attention anymore. Running at a silky smooth 60fps this game plays and looks like a dream to me.     Fantastic sequel - I prefer the nighttime mode/new mechanics, yes it isn't nearly as scary as the first, but I like how you can decide to have a chase or not. Just being in the world is fun, and as other reviews have said - you rarely use fast travel (fun to open up that mechanic though), with just moving around upgrading your parkour skill tree. Various sound settings are available. Length, I am 25 hours in, completing every side quest available and I am not near done. Day one buy. Very fun game. I have not yet played multiplayer.… Expand

    Playing this game since 4 days and it develops into a better and better game over time, the character is getting stronger and everything is very detailed. I'm looking forward to the next few days and months.

    There could only be slightly better graphics for PS5.

    I was a bit sceptic a few days ago with all the bad reviews going on from little butthurts becuase I was already pre-order it, but everything was as I expected, great graphics even in 1080p, great and improved gameplay, good story, nice skill tree and everything. This is a game from techland, will improve it better, they've always considered peoples oppinion. Overall is better than the first one.

    Literally only came here because of some of the reviews I have seen. The game is great. I am a fairly picky gamer. I have played so soo many games it's not even funny. I have played boring games and games that get stale like Assassins creed, or far cryThis game is not far cry, it's a dope game. Buy it.

    Fantastic Game - but needs time to unfold!

    I loved the first game and played everything including all DLCs. The 2nd game isn't actually the same as before and it took me a while to adjust to the new engine and the way it felt while running and climbing around. But after one or two hours, I got into the flow and man, now, after one year of releasing the game, it's almost perfect in my opinion!

    There's so much to do, side missions, collectibles and a long story I actually was interested in. Even after 15 hours in the game, there is still new stuff showing up to use, new elements and even two kinda "side stories" where you go and hunt stuff and get nice gear in exchange. The map itself could be larger, but I never had the feeling being limited by its size, on the other side EVERY district looks different and especially when you've reached the center of the city and climb those giant sky scrapers, THIS is absolutely great!

    I don't know why some people dislike or even hate this game. It's like DL1 but much better, IF you just take the time to get used to the 'new' way of gameplay. And Techland really takes care of their games and like the first part, DL2 runs perfectly, no crashes at all or hickups, it never gets boring, always something to do, encounters, day/night cycle and so on.

    If there are complaints, it would be the sky, somehow, feels complete static, there are clouds, but not moving at all, which somehow kills the atmosphere when you pay attention (think of GTA or Red Dead Redemption 2 and the fantastic weather/sky). It does change though, but it doesn't feel natural at all WHEN you pay attention, because most of the time you're busy doing all kind of things and not watching the sky... ;)

    So, if you liked the first game OR you are in 1st person climbing games like Mirrors Edge, love to hack on Zombies, this is definitely for you. Just give it time to unfold and get used to the gameplay!    … Expand

    Hidden places that you can't reach before a few hours, crafting weapons is a real pleasure.
    I do love this game and the first 15 hours i've spent in.

    Absolutely love the game. The graphics are amazing for the detail of the open world. The sound design is next level (my only suggestion would be the foley cloth sounds are a touch too loud. But that’s the sound designer speaking). The game is fun, the story is interesting and it is beautiful. Not sure what else you could ask for.

    I'm having an absolute blast with this game. Love it, can't wait to see the years of free add-ons like they did with the first one. So happy it came out. I have bugs, yes, but they will be fixed and they aren't game breaking.

    No clue how or why this game is being review bombed. It's got 5 years of scheduled content and the gameplay is some of the most satisfying in all of video games. I do agree the story and characters could use some work but in every aspect this game improves upon an already great experience in dying light and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

    Fantastic world! Best map i've played for sure. Story is ok. Characters in this game are something else. The lipsinc is close to perfection and characters details too. Very hard worked title, it shows!! Highly recommend, especially if you liked dying light 1. Navigation in this one feel good af!

    It's the sequel how it should be.

    The gameplay was perceptibly reworked. Nights in the game now aren't so terrifying.

    The sound design is amazing. I recommend you to play only using headphones.

    Here's the deal, if you liked dead island or dying light. You'll love this. You can tell the devs put a lot of effort into this game. I haven't run across a bug yet.

    Thought I would give this a 10 to balance the haters reviews Wich is absolutely ridiculous this game is not that bad I would say 8.5 would be right score the traversal parkour is way better now and a lot of fun I’m currently playing on hardest difficulty Wich I recommend for the best experience possible great game I love it thank you!

    Techland did it again! If you liked Dying Light 1, this is all that package but elevated to the next level. Parkour is better, combat is better in some aspects, story much improved compared to the first one. To top it all off, the city level design truly makes for a parkour dream.     With my Height Phobia, its like remedy for me to playing this games. I spent hours just to parkouring the building and killed many Zombies on the ground. The detail and physics graphics is so Great.

    Easy 10/10 because enjoyable environment.

The original game released to mixed reviews and landed in the 70s on metacritic. Dying Light 2 continues to surprise me at almost every turn. They are fun, addictive and very smooth. I'm having a great time just running on rooftops and kicking zombies. Awesome game. I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Action Games.

    This game is definitely a gem of 2022. The plot is not thrilling, but there are highly rated games where it is worse. Graphics are epic, mechanics could be better - but they are ok. The romance of the main character with some woman is missing. The main storyline could be longer, but it's still longer than the messiah of gaming CP2077.

    Haven't played the game but this is in response to the numerous "no Italian translation" negative reviews. You know what I do when a game isn't in a language I speak? I just don't play it. Unless Techland promised it and in addition gave you no way to refund your money, then using review bombing for something like this is just sad.     For me this game is a solid 9 but I am giving it a 10 to counter the many ridiculous 0s.

    This game improves on the original in many ways, improved and new parkour movements and in my opinion a better and well written story. Combat is fluid and fun. I experienced minimal bugs just a few clipping issues here and there. Over all a brilliant game for an indie developer well done techland.

The pacing is perfect, the par core us phenomenal, the environment is fun, and the general video of yhe game is unique. The parkour and gameplay is as fun as they will ever be and I didn’t find the story to be all that lacking like everyone claims. Though I am angry about all the false advertising relating to how choices were supposed to have large impacts on the story and gameplay. All we got were a few extra quests and up to 7 gameplay features that don’t really change much in the game. I really hope they will make amends on this matter in the story DLCs.… Expand

    The Combat is deeper, with different styles of Weapon Mods, a wide variety of Tactical and Offensive Equipment and more choices for Parkour-based Attacks. The Traversal is expanded, with a much wider variety of Parkour Moves, Parkour Equipment and Parkour Objects. The Open World is more detailed, with a more profound    Dying Light 2 improves on Dying Light 1 in every single way.

    The Combat is deeper, with different styles of Weapon Mods, a wide variety of Tactical and Offensive Equipment and more choices for Parkour-based Attacks.

    The Traversal is expanded, with a much wider variety of Parkour Moves, Parkour Equipment and Parkour Objects.

    The Open World is more detailed, with a more profound difference between the Day and Night and a wide variety of Looting, Questing and Combat Opportunities.

    But Techland didn't just stop there. Along with every aspect of Dying Light 1 being improved upon, Techland have also added a plethora of new Mechanics to Dying Light 2, including new Enemy Types,
    a new Faction System, a new Infection System and a choice-based Story that is actually interesting.

    Overall, and I wouldn't usually do this, I have to award Dying Light 2 a perfect 10/10 Score. As the Sequel to one of my all time favourite Video Games, Dying Light 2 improves upon the original in every single way and as a result absolutely deserves my recommendation to anyone who loved the Original.

    Great game. Parkour is significantly more fun than in the first game and the voice acting for some of the characters, particularly the first baddie, is fantastic.

    If you enjoyed Dl1 then you'll love this game and it's only going to improve as it goes.

    I play it on the PS5 and gotta admit, with the performance mode it works just perfectly.
    I have countered only one bug in my playthrough.
    This game is like the first one, but that's the good thing, don't change something, that already works, right?

    This game is really good. I see what they have done in 7 years, and it's amazing. Personally, I love the combat. Parkour is wonderful. The story isn't that good, but it's okay. Also, I didn't meet any bug in my 25 hours in the game.

    People need to stop giving DL2 a 0 because there’s no Italian. It seems to me that they can understand and speak English just fine but here’s my review. I love this game, the parkour is fun, the story is very interesting. I’m not very far into the game but there are a few bugs but that’s fine because none of them are game breaking.

    Incredible game. 3 days in not a single bug, perfect performance, 4k 30fps as stable as a whistle on my ps5, as a fan of the original this is just such an upgrade. Highly recommended.

    8/10 - surprisingly few bugs on launch (PS 5 1 crash so far, 1 quest bug). Great gameplay, parkour, combat. Story so so, funny side quests. Coop amazing.

    Dying Light 2: Stay Human looks more like a DLC to the first game than a whole new one. This does not mean it is a bad game, but it is not one that you should rush to buy. It looks and feels like you are playing the same Dying Light from years ago, and despite the storytelling being solid and entertaining, it is not enough to justify buying it right now.

    Delivering a huge improvement on the first title, but lacking with new features, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is quite fun, brutal, rewarding and a game of exceptional quality when it comes to the open world. Minor issues still exist here, but Techland successfully manages to live up to the hype surrounding the game.
