    Techland sold out to Tencent, inserted microtransaction into the game the same way they would insert pineapple into your buttie and grabbed some bonus from their Chinese overlords.

    Screw Techland. Once amazing company, now not worth a even a spit their way.

    Over a year after Dying Light 2's release and shortly after Tencent's acquisition of them, Techland has added microtransactions to Dying Light 2. This is pathetic.

    Advice: Uninstall game

    Unlike most people, I really enjoyed this game before all the 2022 changes that I've not tried again. I liked that it wasn't as horror-driven and was more focused on people, cities and rebuilding civilization. This game has perhaps the best movement in any game I played, and it just feels so good to play. I'm looking forward to the DLCs when they are finished, but I'm a bit worries aboutUnlike most people, I really enjoyed this game before all the 2022 changes that I've not tried again.     I played Dying light 1 and loved it! Therefore, I pre-ordered the Definite Edition of Dying light 2 because I wanted to support Techland. I was surprised how unfinished the game was on release. The foundation they started was horrible and unplayable. I waited and gave the team a chance to work on it. Years have passed and it's bland. It's still a buggy mess( I had to restart the whole gameI played Dying light 1 and loved it! Therefore, I pre-ordered the Definite Edition of Dying light 2 because I wanted to support Techland. The first one had them, but it didn't affect gameplay. Now, if you want a powerful/decent weapon or skill you have to pay for it. I can't recommend this game. All my weapons, outfits, etc. that came with the definitive edition have been changed for the worse. Story is boring, quest are boring, gameplay is mediocre. The first one is much better. Do yourself a favor and save your money or buy another game.… Expand

    The biggest problem with this game is that it takes more steps back then forward from the 1st. Night time is lame now. No volatiles at night. Game tries to make you care about the story when it’s incredibly boring. Stamina bar is so annoying at the beginning, I would’ve preferred not to have it, also the map is worse and feels more copy and paste compared to the first.     A mediocre game. The plot is generally okay, but some moments are very naive or crass. The open world is unfortunately monotonous. A lot of bugs. The parkour system is quite interesting. It can hardly be called better than the first part.

    I must say i like the first game more but its really not that bad. For all the Italian gamers you guys should be happy that the voice is missing I am an Austrian and i want the option switching language so bad. The voice acting in german is so bad i have never seen something like that i am not kidding. It ruins the game.
    Update: Dying light points are now in the game.

    Combat and exploration is still fun, but a stepback from Dying Light 1. Less weapons and freedom in this game makes it feel like a barebones Dying Light 1.5.

    I didn't like it as much as the first game. It had graphics issues. Dialogues were boring. Terrible story.

    Se lleva un aprobado a secas,el sistema de combate es tosco,no puedes explorar de noche porque se te acaba el tiempo, secundarias infinitas,tiene algo que me enganchó este juego hasta el final que aún no se que es,puede que la historia y el hecho de matar zombies,lo recomendaria pero solo cuando lo veas por 10$€

    I did not play this game on release, as I only bought it in December of 2022. I can't speak for issues that were around at the beginning of the game (e.g. bugs, missing Dying Light 1 features). When I played, a lot of that was fixed. Every month it seems that Techland is fixing things and adding features the community is asking for. The gameplay in this game is incredibly fun, and whileI did not play this game on release, as I only bought it in December of 2022.     Dying light 2 stay human, es un juego de mundo abierto con parkour y zombies, nada nuevo, la historia quitando todo tipo de misiones secundarias es un 8.3, ningún personaje memorable, la jugabilidad es un 9, el parkour está mal diseñado, ya que al ser una Ciudad grande las cornisas se pegan y no dejan hacer parkour.

    Teniendo 7 años de desarrollo me sorprende que tenga texturas plomo y que el aparato visual no es tan bueno si no lo juegas en PC le daría un 7.8, las pantallas de carga pueden durar mucho tiempo, tiene mucho menos detalle que el Dying light 1, el agua está mal diseñada ya que por cualquier mal movimiento te undes.

    Si piensas platinar el juego usa una guía de coleccionables desde el inicio ya que algunos los puedes perder.

    Al juego le doy un 8.1 casi el 8.2.    … Expand

Honestly, night time use to fill you with dred as the Virals would hunt you down and chase you, and you stood no chance in hell against them. So going out at night was terrifying. O jogo peca muito naquilo que é seu diferencial que é a falta de verticalidade pra fazer o pakour. Na segunda etapa a verticalidade aparece, mas ela é sempre mal distribuída.     Too long and boring … Since the start of the quest and till the end you can spend about 20-30 min. And when you finish, you can forget the purpose of it. Jus like The developers couldn't figure out how to extend the gameplay. But at the same time ,the story is not so bad.

    Have to say I am enjoying it a lot more this time around. The game is different to when it    I played Dying Light 2 at launch and was totally bored. So I put it on the back-burner and decided, knowing Techland, this would be a different game if I came back to it at a later date. Noticed a few days ago a video detailing the Gut Feeling update launched and decided to give it another go.

    Have to say I am enjoying it a lot more this time around. The game is different to when it launched. They have added things like gear transmog, weapon blueprints, weapon crafting and lots more gore and brutality. They have also added some community events and stuff. On a slow playthrough - trying to cover everything. Kind of switching between one part of the storyline and clearing one area at a time doing all the side quests.

    Some games do come good in the end, not many. But this is a different game to the game I played originally. And for whatever reason, probably the gore updates, finding it a blast to play at the moment. The story is still a bit lacking and side quests are very the same. But nice to see Techland never gave up on the game and I salute them for that.    … Expand

Maybe is not level of TLoU, but plot is still cool. The best side of game is gameplay, moving through the wall, jumping under streets all these parkour. Fighting isn't main element, because in most of situations youGreat game for me. The main plot isn't so surprising, but isn't boring too. Additional 10 points for morality/decisions system, but I miss real morality system from other games, where you can be real badass. If you want zombie games with satisfying gameplay DL2 is good choice for you… Expand

It is as interesting or complex as the story in your average pay to win korean mmo grinder.     A wonderful game with a beautiful environment has some annoying bugs, but it was a good experience, the story has some weaknesses, but it is still interesting, the tension is great, the game is a normal, attractive game

The story bored me, the coop was buggy and barely worked, the parkour was an improvement, the combat and weapons were just eh and the chases at night were funnest part possibly the only part I actually enjoyed. I just burned out on the initial missions, when you need to get into the sewers at night, but you just can’t because there are infected running around near the hatch that don’t allow you to break the hatch, you can’t kill them all, new ones appear. Rave. The game goes to the trash. I'm the person who went Platinum to Bloodborne andI just couldn't resist and decided to write a review.     I purchased the Ultimate edition when it first launched because I was such a big fan of Dying Light and the Following. This game was such a huge let down. I agonizingly played through the hole hoping there would be some redemption but the story and the mechanics were just awful. Such a let down.

    Wow. Just wow. This took 7 years to make? What did Techland do for the first 6.5? This is NOTHING like DL1. Incredibly bad graphics, sound is fuzzy (and voices echo), dialogue is cringe. This is nothing more than a parkour sim. I'd walk over my grandma's face to play anything else.

I didn't have any problems or interference while playing on the PC version! So the only thing I can say is to praise Techland, I expect a continuation and better progress in for this genre of game! The graphics are all right, the physics for parkour are good.. I'm not a bad player otherwise, but I don't know if what I was playing was normal, but there were situations that were really exaggerated on the missions in the underground when you go for inhibitors and there will be 2-3 volatiles guarding all the zombies. because somehow it is not balanced with the difficulty of the game, it should be a little more relaxing in my opinion, but maybe I'm wrong, although I don't think I'm the only one who had problems in those situations, in addition to the fact that when I play, I play exclusively with great care so as not to die and to be as extreme as possible !Easy mode would throw j but in my opinion, there should be just a little work on "normal" to make it more ideal and I think it would be perfect to enjoy while passing the game!
    I think I can do a lot better in terms of graphics, parkour, movement physics, combat mode and zombie massacre! But all in all, I think Dying Light 2 is a very good game and I would freely recommend it! this genre game until it reaches its peak!    … Expand

    Fantastic Game - but needs time to unfold!

    I loved the first game and played everything including all DLCs. The 2nd game isn't actually the same as before and it took me a while to adjust to the new engine and the way it felt while running and climbing around.     There's so much to do, side missions, collectibles and a long story I actually was interested in. Even after 15 hours in the game, there is still new stuff showing up to use, new elements and even two kinda "side stories" where you go and hunt stuff and get nice gear in exchange. The map itself could be larger, but I never had the feeling being limited by its size, on the other side EVERY district looks different and especially when you've reached the center of the city and climb those giant sky scrapers, THIS is absolutely great!

    I don't know why some people dislike or even hate this game. It's like DL1 but much better, IF you just take the time to get used to the 'new' way of gameplay. And Techland really takes care of their games and like the first part, DL2 runs perfectly, no crashes at all or hickups, it never gets boring, always something to do, encounters, day/night cycle and so on.

    If there are complaints, it would be the sky, somehow, feels complete static, there are clouds, but not moving at all, which somehow kills the atmosphere when you pay attention (think of GTA or Red Dead Redemption 2 and the fantastic weather/sky). It does change though, but it doesn't feel natural at all WHEN you pay attention, because most of the time you're busy doing all kind of things and not watching the sky... ;)

    So, if you liked the first game OR you are in 1st person climbing games like Mirrors Edge, love to hack on Zombies, this is definitely for you. Just give it time to unfold and get used to the gameplay!    … Expand

However the game is so hard to keep up with it's frustrating. It hops from thread to the 2nd one not ending the 1st one. And then a 3rd one. It's really bad. I loved the first one, kiccin random freaks off roofs and blowing them tf up you got guts and bits of meat flying around everywhere looking like a slaughter house on delivery day, but this one just sucks. It doesn't at all give you the feel of the older game in terms of the atmosphere, but at least this time it has a boss fight..well the boss fight is full of bugs and the Waltz dude you have to fight can just mystically punch you the fucc out from about 10 meters away. It's a pretty game don't get me wrong but good graphics don't make up for bad gameplay. On top of that, all the survivors and enemies themselves are either weird or just plain dumb as **** They don't at all give you a sense of "oh OK this here is a bad mf I best watch myself now" nah they just drool and wait for you to do stuff. It's just another let down game building off the success of the previous. Everything is like a crappy emulated version of what it used to be, the grapple hook used to be dope like a great value spider man now all the hook does is let you dangle like sweaty nuts on a hot day. Plus their new boomstick replacement for guns is lame lame, where is my golden double barrel? I don't give any ****s about them wanting more medieval fighting or their in-game monument I want a blicky to violate the violitiles.     The game is so incredibly clunky, slow (way too many cutscenes/dialog). The fighting is so lame being RPG style (this one is really tragic because they should have just copied how good the fighting felt from the first one instead of completely ruining it).

    I hope they take this failure and learn from it to do a proper sequel to the first, and realize they don't need high production value cutscenes/dialog/etc, they just need to make the core game fun and let the player *play* the game instead of slogging through a bunch of media.    … Expand

    The latest patch has made a bug laden game completely unplayable in co-op. We just made the chase for centeal loop and not a SINGLE sequence out of the 10 something parts worked. Not a singöe row of code seemed to have been run in the correct order. Co-op was at least working before that patch..

Dying Light 2 had a lot to learn from it’s precessor Dying Light espically with that handsome man Kyle Crane (mmm…), but Techland has smashed it out of the park again. After playing the game for over 350 hours, I can say that Dying Light 2 deserved GOTY and was robbed by Elden Ring. My identical twin Jonah Scott smashed his role as my second boyfriend and new gigachad spirit animal Aiden Chadwell who run, jumps and fights throughout Villedor saving lives and smashing Volatiles with the dropkick, which instantly obliterates opponents with the pure foot of steel and vapourises people so bad, thier partners couldn’t recognise them.
    The story is a masterpiece, written by the greatest minds the dancing Polish cow could offer with themes like love, betrayal and my deepest darkest fanfiction inspirements. The ending where I face off with Waltz, Aiden’s kind of but not really father is when I started crying and begging for not Dying Light 3 but Dying Light 7. I need it now, and the ending where Hakon runs off with his 5th Husband who is Aiden Chadwell made me extremely jealous that I was not there with them running into the sunset or running to Villedor Castle (god, i want that castle so bad).

    To conclude, Dying Light 3: Hunt down the Hakon is a must buy. Everyone should play it, not matter which species you are. It’s fun for the whole family and family pet. This is probably better than IGN’s review anyway. Are we out of budget yet?    … Expand

The storyline itself is just okey. Some of the characters like Lawan getting very annoying. You are forced to work with them tho i dont like them. This is something that destroys the user’s experience and makes me stop an pause the game for weeks because it just sucks. The storyline has very often Plots where characters dying that don't have to die tho it not even makes sense that they are dying. Overall the game is ok but i wouldnt play it again. Today they released a new update but nothing brings new to the table. I have skipped the DLC 1 because of the reported bugs and the bad story mode. City design was also great, and factions, while not as vast as were planned with Avellone, definitely had an impact on the city and the gameplay.

    Graphics and audio were also on point. No complaints there either.

    Was it as gritty and no nonsense as the first game? No. Was it better from a parkour standpoint? Yes. Plus the gliders were really cool as well, and combat was equitable. From my perspective, listening to reviewers jaded about the lack of Avellone is a mistake. At least at this point in the game's life, it is unquestionably an excellent experience. I'd really look at reviewers trophy counts/gametime before giving them any traction. The review bombing on this title was definitely in play.     Took about 45 hours for me to complete the game on normal difficulty with a fair amount of side quests complete. Double my gametime if you intend to complete everything. There's a lot to do and it never gets boring.    … Expand

    It was broken then, it's broken now. I really can't figure out why these games just refuse to behave. It's okay i guess, not much has changed since the last one in terms of gameplay, more foliage on the map, other than that it's the same basic game. Really wanted to like it, but if i can't play it without it repeatedly corrupting files, requiring new files to be reinstalled, i just won't.

    Впринципе не плохая игрушка в которой можно провести весело время паркуря и сражаясь. Сюжет тоже не плохой но все же упор на стамину мне не очень зашёл.

Не знаю чем вдохновлялись разработчики, но написать настолько бездарный сюжет, в котором присутствует лишь иллюзия выбора, нужно было умудриться, скорее всего сюжет был скорее для галочки, чтобы игру покупали. Во-первых почему-то тебе не дают выбора в вилледоре, ты обязан встать на чью-то сторону, чего я вообще не хотел делать, либо взрывай базу миротворцев, либо обрекай жителей базара на смерть. Качество персонажей нельзя назвать плохим, но лично у меня никакого сопереживания они не вызывали. Мне только начала нравится Вероника,но ее убивают спустя 20 минут, спасибо. В общем геймплей на 7, сюжет на 5. Сама игра тянет на 5-6 баллов, я поставлю 6, тк была бы она хуже, я бы её дропнул, про баги я само собой молчу .… Expand

    Very similar to first part except this have incredible over the top whole screen polluting "shine effect" that can not be turned off. 3points for good fast responsive aiming.

    To me this game is a 7. In my opinion it is a step down from the first game. This game isn’t as creepy or scary as the first. But the open world is amazing in my opinion, it still sets up a vibe that we are in a world filled with zombies. The combat is good but it just feels like it’s missing something. I pre ordered this game and I don’t fully regret it but I would have been happierTo me this game is a 7. In my opinion it is a step down from the first game.     Forgettable, bland Story, Side and Main Characters are all rude and just downright weird, elements from the first game like zombie camo and repairing were taken out, there are bugs EVERYWHERE (can't fast travel, can't respawn, Quests keep reactivating even after completing them), human enemies are a mess (their attack patterns are a mess, they simply will not attack zombies unless withinForgettable, bland Story, Side and Main Characters are all rude and just downright weird, elements from the first game like zombie camo and repairing were taken out, there are bugs EVERYWHERE (can't fast travel, can't respawn, Quests keep reactivating even after completing them), human enemies are a mess (their attack patterns are a mess, they simply will not attack zombies unless within literal hugging distance and will instead go after you relentlessly), the graphic balance between shadows and light is broken (look up, the ground gets visibly darker, look down and the sky gets brighter) Just a complete mess.… Expand

    Okay, this game is absolutely NOT as bad as the people claim here. Is it as good or better than Dying Light 1? The answer is NO! It is NOT as good, let alone better, but it doesn't mean this is a bad game.

    The parkour, fights are evolved, maybe even too much, but they are great and in their place. The story is mediocre at best, nothing interesting whatsoever.     The level choice is really bad, every part of the city looks exactly the same. "Realism" shouldn't be placed before game experience.

    Game mechanism is weak, nothing evolved besides fights and parkour, and even part of the zombie / fight physics are downgraded for reasons beyond comprehension. There are rumours circulating about key staff leaving due to whatever reasons, and I'm absolutely sure that this was the main problem of why it failed to achieve the glory of DL1, let alone to evolve beyond it.

    You'd expect vehicles, base building, travelling in a huge map to different cities, towns, resource management, missions with companions you select, etc., and at least as much genius storytelling as in DL1 (side mission included), but no, nothing sort of that, a huge part of the game is pretty much sank into mediocrity, despite the fact that there is already a brutally good game set as an example you just have to follow (DL1)...

    To think about the money those developers got who don't even like the game at all... Such a waste.

    HOWEVER, this doesn't mean that this is a particularly bad game and that you won't enjoy it. You will. This game still good and still rocks, and the best news is that there is a modding community which pretty much fixed every gameplay / game mechanics flaws, for free (think about the game developers again). Years of years of development, tons of wasted money, only to see your utter idiocy (bad physics, weak, few zeds, etc.) getting fixed in a couple of weeks by modders for free...

    There are 2 things I can't forgive to this game: it is NOT scary anymore. Do you remember yourself screaming during night missions in DL1? Well, here you won't...

    The second part is the music. I was so excited to get something like in DL1 (which I listening even to this day), that I was almost more excited for the music than for the game, but what we got is next to nothing. Most of the less popular youtubers could have done a better job for free... Man, these guys...

    I don't know what is with all these game developers (and also movie makers) nowadays but they clearly NOT worthy of their money, they just ripping off the company they working for.

    Bud just buy the game, install the mods, and you will gonna have a decent experience. Epic zed battles await you which will never get old.

    Oh, and those complaining about graphics and performance, you guys should really stop using cracked games, quit watching porn, and run an anti-malware software. You ALL gonna be surprised.    … Expand

    Dying Light 2: Stay Human looks more like a DLC to the first game than a whole new one. This does not mean it is a bad game, but it is not one that you should rush to buy. It looks and feels like you are playing the same Dying Light from years ago, and despite the storytelling being solid and entertaining, it is not enough to justify buying it right now.

    Delivering a huge improvement on the first title, but lacking with new features, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is quite fun, brutal, rewarding and a game of exceptional quality when it comes to the open world. Minor issues still exist here, but Techland successfully manages to live up to the hype surrounding the game.

    Dying Light 2 ups the ante from the original in almost every way, offering more satisfying parkour, combat and enough jump scares to make you never want to walk in the darkness ever again. A worthy and essential sequel.
