    Unlike most people, I really enjoyed this game before all the 2022 changes that I've not tried again. I liked that it wasn't as horror-driven and was more focused on people, cities and rebuilding civilization. This game has perhaps the best movement in any game I played, and it just feels so good to play. I'm looking forward to the DLCs when they are finished, but I'm a bit worries aboutUnlike most people, I really enjoyed this game before all the 2022 changes that I've not tried again.     Solid game, solid story, gorgeous graphics, okay story, good ending, tons of replay value with the co-op feature, and this game runs so much better on the best console ever made......The PlayStation 5

    I did not play this game on release, as I only bought it in December of 2022. I can't speak for issues that were around at the beginning of the game (e.g. bugs, missing Dying Light 1 features). When I played, a lot of that was fixed. Every month it seems that Techland is fixing things and adding features the community is asking for. The gameplay in this game is incredibly fun, and whileI did not play this game on release, as I only bought it in December of 2022.     Dying light 2 stay human, es un juego de mundo abierto con parkour y zombies, nada nuevo, la historia quitando todo tipo de misiones secundarias es un 8.3, ningún personaje memorable, la jugabilidad es un 9, el parkour está mal diseñado, ya que al ser una Ciudad grande las cornisas se pegan y no dejan hacer parkour.

    Teniendo 7 años de desarrollo me sorprende que tenga texturas plomo y que el aparato visual no es tan bueno si no lo juegas en PC le daría un 7.8, las pantallas de carga pueden durar mucho tiempo, tiene mucho menos detalle que el Dying light 1, el agua está mal diseñada ya que por cualquier mal movimiento te undes.

    Si piensas platinar el juego usa una guía de coleccionables desde el inicio ya que algunos los puedes perder.

    Loved this game. The story was well thought out and always kept you guessing. But the gameplay was awesome. With plenty of content. In 70 hrs in and still have a lot to do

    I played Dying Light 2 at launch and was totally bored. So I put it on the back-burner and decided, knowing Techland, this would be a different game if I came back to it at a later date. Noticed a few days ago a video detailing the Gut Feeling update launched and decided to give it another go.

    Have to say I am enjoying it a lot more this time around. The game is different to when it launched. They have added things like gear transmog, weapon blueprints, weapon crafting and lots more gore and brutality. They have also added some community events and stuff. On a slow playthrough - trying to cover everything. Kind of switching between one part of the storyline and clearing one area at a time doing all the side quests.

    Some games do come good in the end, not many. But this is a different game to the game I played originally. And for whatever reason, probably the gore updates, finding it a blast to play at the moment. The story is still a bit lacking and side quests are very the same. But nice to see Techland never gave up on the game and I salute them for that.    … Expand

    Great game for me. The main plot isn't so surprising, but isn't boring too. Main characters are very interesting nature, own bussines to do, and own perspectives to that world. Maybe is not level of TLoU, but plot is still cool. The best side of game is gameplay, moving through the wall, jumping under streets all these parkour. Fighting isn't main element, because in most of situations youGreat game for me. The main plot isn't so surprising, but isn't boring too. Of course DL 2 is not a perfect game, that all upgrade/crafting system is useless for me, because if you are doing side quests that items from vendors/workshops are better than all what you can forge, maybe apart from Medi kits. Additional 10 points for morality/decisions system, but I miss real morality system from other games, where you can be real badass. If you want zombie games with satisfying gameplay DL2 is good choice for you… Expand

    I enjoyed the game, I don't understand why everyone is complaining that it's not like dying light 1, it shouldn't be like the first game at all, the parkour, world, music, combat it' honestly more versatile than the first game.     Dying Light 1 was better. This one is good. I am disappointed its not more like the DL1 where shooting and driving was awesome! Hopefully they make a 3 but do bettering with the world design, music, and Zombie design/AI... all was better in the first, but this is still a good game an 8, not a 10. They should not of pushed it as having some great story. Dying Light is foremost aboutDying Light 1 was better. This one is good.     I always say, good games get's less than decent ratings half of the time cause the people who love them already voted with their money and aren't coming here. these rating here are mostly by people who for one reason or another hate the game. Dying light 2 is certainly worth it, if you're looking for a story! fun engaging world, and a feeling of thrill and excitement.     It is really fun to smash some zombies. I really liked the story. I didn't saw manny bugs.
    The only thing that i feel is missing is the love intrest. You kinda get a taste of that but it's very little. And maybe is just me , i mean , i get why it would't be space for love. In a world so **** like that maybe getting attached to someone isn't the best idea. Idk. But even with that missing i    It is really fun to smash some zombies. I really liked the story.     Fantastic Game - but needs time to unfold!

    I loved the first game and played everything including all DLCs. The 2nd game isn't actually the same as before and it took me a while to adjust to the new engine and the way it felt while running and climbing around. But after one or two hours, I got into the flow and man, now, after one year of releasing the game, it's almost perfect in my    Fantastic Game - but needs time to unfold!

The 2nd game isn't actually the same as before and it took me a while to adjust to the new engine and the way it felt while running and climbing around. But after one or two hours, I got into the flow and man, now, after one year of releasing the game, it's almost perfect in my opinion!

    There's so much to do, side missions, collectibles and a long story I actually was interested in. Even after 15 hours in the game, there is still new stuff showing up to use, new elements and even two kinda "side stories" where you go and hunt stuff and get nice gear in exchange. The map itself could be larger, but I never had the feeling being limited by its size, on the other side EVERY district looks different and especially when you've reached the center of the city and climb those giant sky scrapers, THIS is absolutely great!

    I don't know why some people dislike or even hate this game. It's like DL1 but much better, IF you just take the time to get used to the 'new' way of gameplay. And Techland really takes care of their games and like the first part, DL2 runs perfectly, no crashes at all or hickups, it never gets boring, always something to do, encounters, day/night cycle and so on.

    If there are complaints, it would be the sky, somehow, feels complete static, there are clouds, but not moving at all, which somehow kills the atmosphere when you pay attention (think of GTA or Red Dead Redemption 2 and the fantastic weather/sky). It does change though, but it doesn't feel natural at all WHEN you pay attention, because most of the time you're busy doing all kind of things and not watching the sky... ;)

    So, if you liked the first game OR you are in 1st person climbing games like Mirrors Edge, love to hack on Zombies, this is definitely for you. Just give it time to unfold and get used to the gameplay!    … Expand

Dying Light 2 had a lot to learn from it’s precessor Dying Light espically with that handsome man Kyle Crane (mmm…), but Techland has smashed it out of the park again. After playing the game for over 350 hours, I can say that Dying Light 2 deserved GOTY and was robbed by Elden Ring. My identical twin Jonah Scott smashed his role as my second boyfriend and new gigachad spirit animal Aiden Chadwell who run, jumps and fights throughout Villedor saving lives and smashing Volatiles with the dropkick, which instantly obliterates opponents with the pure foot of steel and vapourises people so bad, thier partners couldn’t recognise them.
    The story is a masterpiece, written by the greatest minds the dancing Polish cow could offer with themes like love, betrayal and my deepest darkest fanfiction inspirements. The ending where I face off with Waltz, Aiden’s kind of but not really father is when I started crying and begging for not Dying Light 3 but Dying Light 7. I need it now, and the ending where Hakon runs off with his 5th Husband who is Aiden Chadwell made me extremely jealous that I was not there with them running into the sunset or running to Villedor Castle (god, i want that castle so bad).

    To conclude, Dying Light 3: Hunt down the Hakon is a must buy. Everyone should play it, not matter which species you are. It’s fun for the whole family and family pet. This is probably better than IGN’s review anyway. Are we out of budget yet?    … Expand

Today they released a new update but nothing brings new to the table. I have skipped the DLC 1 because of the reported bugs and the bad story mode. Hopefully, DLC 2 will bring PVP and hoard mode, but just now, I don't have the urge to(PS5 version) After 10 months, the game is in better state but there is no PVP or hoard game mode today, and because of it, it doesn't have any replay value. Parkour was awesome, drop kicks were as hilarious as expected, and the parry riposte system was perfect. Weapon selections were cool. City design was also great, and factions, while not as vast as were planned with Avellone, definitely had an impact on the city and the gameplay.

    Graphics and audio were also on point. No complaints there either.

    Was it as gritty and no nonsense as the first game? No. Was it better from a parkour standpoint? Yes. Plus the gliders were really cool as well, and combat was equitable. From my perspective, listening to reviewers jaded about the lack of Avellone is a mistake. At least at this point in the game's life, it is unquestionably an excellent experience. I'd really look at reviewers trophy counts/gametime before giving them any traction. The review bombing on this title was definitely in play.     Took about 45 hours for me to complete the game on normal difficulty with a fair amount of side quests complete. Double my gametime if you intend to complete everything. There's a lot to do and it never gets boring.    … Expand

    I waited for the majority of bugs to be fixed before playing. It's now an awesome, athletic Walking Dead mixing in my fav mechanics from Assassins Creed 2 (scaling buildings), Far Cry 3 (climbing watch towers and Last of Us (although DL2 is very generous when it comes to scavenging).

    There's a bunch of people hating on this game, they probably haven't had a blow job in a while and are    I waited for the majority of bugs to be fixed before playing. It's now an awesome, athletic Walking Dead mixing in my fav mechanics from Assassins Creed 2 (scaling buildings), Far Cry 3 (climbing watch towers and Last of Us (although DL2 is very generous when it comes to scavenging).

    i loved the first game and i love this one too but for ps4 version the dying light 2 has too many problems like audio lag stuck npcs system errors and moreeeee only things that ruined the experience

    It's a great sequel to one of my favorite games ever. It improved upon almost every aspect, especially parkour and combat. The City is a great map and it's really fun to run around it. Graphically was a bit of a dissapointment though.

    With my Height Phobia, its like remedy for me to playing this games. I spent hours just to parkouring the building and killed many Zombies on the ground. The detail and physics graphics is so Great.

    Easy 10/10 because enjoyable environment.

    -human combat: the ability to parry humans makes the encounters less annoying;
    -the story(my opinion): it got me hooked because I'm very interested what will happen with this virus and the world itself. It's still so much mystery that I enjoy and if you find all the collectibles(like I did) you will find a lot of backstory of what happened after Harran;
    -the world: it's unique whit the two area Old Villedor and The Center. The architecture is very parkour friendly and it allows the player to find creative ways to traverse around The City;
    -new features: dark hollows, forsaken stores, convoys, airdrops, antennas, windmills, etc. as well as some minimal RPG additions (clothing and boosters);
    -easter eggs: A LOT;
    -challenging new game plus with big rewards;
    -community challenges-entertaining side quests;
    -on point English voice acting.
    Cons:
    -the world is a bit too saturated unlike what was seen in the E3 reveal;
    -some minimal bugs(fixed with patches);
    -some weird lip-syncing(because the game was first lip-synced for polish);
    -the choices aren't a big factor in the game, but they are a nice addition;
    -achievement issues: there were some in the past which were fixed but there are still some for some players including myself which is very frustrating because I want to complete this game to the fullest extent but I can't. Hopefully they will fix this.
    I will say once again, this is MY OPINION. I enjoyed this game and I am still enjoying it. I think Techland has built a nice foundation for future DLCs. I recommend playing it if you like parkour, zombies and really become interested in the future of humanity during this THV epidemic. Also the first one is a must play.    … Expand

Though I am angry about all the false advertising relating to how choices were supposed to have large impacts on the story and gameplay. All we got were a few extra quests and up to 7 gameplay features that don’t really change much in the game. I really hope they will make amends on this matter in the story DLCs.… Expand

    Fixing my review from before.. I hated on the game from the beginning because of the bugs. Now most bugs are gone. However, the story is still boring but i truly believe the DLC's will back up this game. The story is unfinished so no one can judge. Gameplay is truly a master piece. So fun to play with friends.

    Dying light 2 is an open world rpg post apocalypse type game and the thing is that this game does right is the inviroment the overall layout and details to every thing that you see in the game. The combat, now the combat has a major improvement since the first game but it kinda cloonky and sometimes I wish it wasn't so slow you know, like look at the last of us 1 and 2 the combat was realistic and it felt brutal and satisfying. But dl2 its pretty satisfying when it comes to combat but the combat of the game wasn't brutall like realistic time of wise, I wish that they could've made the combat better not gonna lie but everything else is actually good and pretty. The launch, the launch of the game got us all thirsty but the game released in a buggy state not like cyberpunk 2077 type but the optimization was bad and the loading of the game on the last gen was slow like you would fall of the map, and see some of the models of characters not loaded in all the way. And the audio ughh the audio was so bad like you couldn't even hear what they were saying and no music be playing sometimes like no sound effect can be heard like dam they should've delayed the game (to be honest) But later on small and big and biggest and some couple updates and events later, the state of the game right now is actually functioning kinda like a normal game and to be honest this game is actually good now like better I would say.     Honestly, Dying Light is better than Dying Light 2, the physics in 2 was a bit twisted. Main plot in my opinion was better in first part, Kyle Crane had a more interesting adventure than Aiden. After all, the game is really good, many mechanics such as parkour enjoy very much whether fighting is really satisfying

    I played this game in april-may 2022 few patches come out and i didnt meet any big glitches beside one where i had no cinematic just balck screen and sound of whats going on. Gameplay is delicious i spend 80h in game to reach platinum + x? H of rubbering controller to make last trophy 960km. Defenetly recomended to everyone to try.

    Grapics could be better, quality mode should been with 60fps then the game could been 9/10 but it is a bit repetive with all the climbing. Overall very happy to finishing it.

    Rarely has my opinion of a video game changed as much as I did with Dying Light 2. By the first act, I honestly thought I had a contender for a 90's rating. World building, characters, decisions, massive fights and the parkour system really convinced me at first.

    But the longer the season dragged on, the more the framework collapsed. Very little is made of characters and world.     But the worst part is the story. Rarely has there been such a soulless protagonist who literally stumbles helplessly from one boring event to the next. For me personally, Dying Light 2 is unfortunately a missed opportunity. Because if Techland had built on the good foundation of Act 1, we would have had the first hit of the year    … Expand

    I gave it 8 not 10 because of some glitches and some repetitive side quest (which game isnt? I know there are some game like Elder Scroll has excellent side quests but its not really apple to apple comparison). Overall, it is a very enjoyable game, especially exploring the city and tunnels, it almost bring up the insomnia of the fallout 3 memories.

I haven't ran into gamebreaking bugs yet I'm.on ps5 but I have ran into two bugs battle music audio and howler being frozen. Overall I highly recommend this game.     The game was freaky enjoyable. The parkour, visuals, and just getting around the city were the highlights. The story wasn't the best but I appreciated how choices would affect the city and I ended up liking some characters. All around good game if you're into the zombie post apolyptic setting.

    Graphics: I didn’t have high hopes for the graphics on this game because cyberpunk but it surprised me with its environmental suspense and graphical fidelity. Animations in this game are good, facial animations could use some work.    … Expand

    For me this game is a solid 9 but I am giving it a 10 to counter the many ridiculous 0s.

    This game improves on the original in many ways, improved and new parkour movements and in my opinion a better and well written story. Combat is fluid and fun. I experienced minimal bugs just a few clipping issues here and there. Over all a brilliant game for an indie developer well done techland.

    Боевая система сразу же расстроила, интерфейс тоже. Однако поиграв часов 20 в игру, я получаю искренний кайф от кадого боя в этой игре.
    Сразу же пошли отсылки на историю и персонажей первой части, и меня, как фаната серии, радуют эти переплетения!
    Судя по тому, как я проходил дл1, вы могли заметить, что я люблю изучать всю игру вдоль-и-поперёк, и то, что в этом мире полне всяких сторонних активностей - это супер! Почему если тебе нравится как работает игра, ты будешь страдать от большого количества гринда? Я только рад что я останусь в этой игре подольше.
    Наиграл уже 80 часов, и ни капли не жалею о том, что потратил деньги и провёл в ней это время, к слову, сюжет я так и не прошёл, я почти что в самом начале, зато уже открыл весь первый город и сделал все сайд-квесты и активности! Просто кайф!

    I've just about got the Platinum , game is a lot of fun, sure the story could be a little better but gameplay is a rich experience, the only real issues right now are technical issues, hopefully Techland will resolve these soon, glitched trophies, broken netcode etc but at it's core there's a lot of fun to be had in DL2.

    This game is one of the most complete in terms of Zombie survival. I love the changes from the first one. I've made decisions that I still feel bad about making LOL. I love it, it has too many bugs but I know it will be fixed, the basics of the game are perfect, fun, different, it's a new open world and I love it. The best parkour game in the world. Quero deixar claro que sou apaixonado por filmes, séries e claro, jogos que envolvam a temática apocalipse zumbi e isso Dying Light faz muito bem desde o primeiro game lançado. A jogabilidade em primeira pessoa agrada e a maneira com que a Tecland conseguiu atribuir o parkour ao gênero foi incrível. Tenho que destacar que em relação ao trilher mostrado na E 2018 houve um gigantesco e massivo downgrade em relação a parte gráfica do jogo. A cidade mostrava ser bem mais estruturada e linda. A versão final entregue atende as necessidades, porém não em relação a expectativas que foram criadas em relação ao mencionado. No mais na cidade, a mecânica melhorou em relação ao primeiro bastante. A produtora dará suporte por 5 anos ao game e isso é maravilhoso.… Expand

    The game overall is amazing!! Sure, theres a few issues, but the gameplay makes up for it! The parkour is a major step up from the first version. Its smooth its fun its exhilarating!! Night times is much more lenient than the first one as well. I actually prefer night time, to go out and just start chases, up till that Volatile comes that's when things get real!!! The main story quest isThe game overall is amazing!! Sure, theres a few issues, but the gameplay makes up for it! The parkour is a major step up from the first version. Its smooth its fun its exhilarating!! Night times is much more lenient than the first one as well. Side quests is a fun run on their own and opens up more of the world that you wouldn't get by just doing the story. IF you rush this, it will get boring. Im 50hours in and still on Lv3 main quest.     Dying Light 2: Stay Human looks more like a DLC to the first game than a whole new one. This does not mean it is a bad game, but it is not one that you should rush to buy. It looks and feels like you are playing the same Dying Light from years ago, and despite the storytelling being solid and entertaining, it is not enough to justify buying it right now.

    Delivering a huge improvement on the first title, but lacking with new features, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is quite fun, brutal, rewarding and a game of exceptional quality when it comes to the open world. Minor issues still exist here, but Techland successfully manages to live up to the hype surrounding the game.

    Dying Light 2 ups the ante from the original in almost every way, offering more satisfying parkour, combat and enough jump scares to make you never want to walk in the darkness ever again. A worthy and essential sequel.
