    I gave this game 5 hours of my time and turned it off because I was so bored. I played the first one to a platinum trophy and enjoyed it, but this is just the same old enemies, same old pointless side quests all dressed up in new clothes (improved graphics). I honestly could not recommend this to anyone.

    What a bad start of 2022 and a waste of my 70 euro's.
    This is nothing like the game we were promised in 2018.
    We have been UBISOFTED..
    Ugly graphics, combat / physics is a massive downgrade from Dying Light 1.
    Main story is boring and forced onto the player,
    the game is full of ugly immersion breaking HUD.

    Only positives are the parkour and the soundtrack which i quite like.

    Too many critical bugs. For 2 hours of the game, we restarted the game 3 times in co-op due to hanging scripts. Either the zombie will not come out, then the dead inscription is not counted as killed and the corpse is always highlighted "kill". Then the nominal mob flies into space from a hit with a weapon under a buff for damage.
    + The plot is terrible.

    It's a solid experience that suffers from gamebreaking bugs and unfocused story telling in the main plot line. Dont get me wrong, this would easily be a 7/10 or even 8/10 if the game would bot have these major problems.

    Not a very interesting game with repetative quests, unfulfilling endings, and alright gameplay. After all the hours I put in, I gotmost of the side stuff and main storyline beat and was left disappointed and bored. It's Dying Light with all of its flaws and not a lot of charm or polish. I even feel like the layout is a slight downgrade from the original. Just get this when it's on sale orNot a very interesting game with repetative quests, unfulfilling endings, and alright gameplay. Нету никакого смысла в выборах(желтые стрелочки с выборами диалогов) только 3 из них работают на концовку, остальные для виду, которые ничего не меняют.     Начнём с того что игра была представлена комьюнити,как продукт качественного эшелона. Что мы имеем в итоге:слабый сюжет, много багов, неинтересных персонажей, однотипные задания, слабую атмосферу и попытка сделать вариативность (и то плохая). И сложно понять почему все так плохо. Techland хотели превзойти первую часть и создать что-то инновационное или же как минимум не хуже первой части.Начнём с того что игра была представлена комьюнити,как продукт качественного эшелона. Играя ты понимаешь кто главный враг, кто отец, где сестра и кто предатель. Даже персонажей не удалось сделать запоминающимися. Только Hakon интересен и то это ностальгия по старым временам. Остальные же второстепенные персонажи не вызывают к себе никакой интерес. С геймплейной точки, игра не может предоставить ничего, что могло бы завлечь игрока. Все те же аванпосты, минимальное количество побочных интересных заданий и провальные ночные задания. В первой части ночь была самым атмосферной и пугаещий частью игры. В DL2 мы имеем быстрые побегушки от точки к точки,лишь бы хоть что-то увидеть. Баги это стандарт для AAA-проектов. Если не одного не встретили значит вы везунчик. Вернёмся к концовкам игры. Фееричный провал и не более. Сделать несколько концовок и все походы как одна, это надо уметь. Все эти проблемы в совокупности заставляют пропустить эту игру,даже фаната первой части.     Performance is extraordinarily bad, walking through different areas basically rolls a diceroll to determine a multiplier for your fps. In a span of about 15min, you can get 60fps in a dense city area, walk indoors to get hit with 30fps, then walk back into that same dense city area to get 15fps. The glitchiness and bugs are worse than Cyberpunk's at launch.

    Everyone in my Discord server playing it at launch was on a cycle of playing in 30 min stretches before needing to restart for various reasons. Some times the menu freezes, sometimes the game just locks up, mission critical AI or prompts just completely break. This is made infinitely more terrible by the complete exclusion of manual saving or even the basic ability to restart from checkpoint. You have to either quit to menu or Windows to access checkpoints, which makes the game's bugginess infinitely more unbearable.

    The graphics are wildly inconsistent on a spectrum that ranges from Far Cry 3 at worst, 4 and 5 for the most part but admittedly giving Far Cry 6 a run for its money every so often. The whiplash from experiencing the last two generations of Far Cry games within a 10 minute stretch of gameplay is on par with what I'd imagine time travel would be like.

    Cyberpunk fell on its face doing actually actually attempting technically mind-blowing graphics, art and storytelling. This game is just nowhere near ambitious enough for me to even make baseline excuses for what a mess it is. The actual game seems like it's a ton of fun, can't wait to play it in 3-6 months.

If you look back at Dl1 special infected each of them have iconic design like toad(spitter),fireman(goon),child(screamer),big Army(Demolisher), big green blister (Bolter). Zombie with opened ribcage(Bomber) . we can easily recognize em by just looking at their silhouette. Im seriously having problem with the slowness of the parkour, its too slow, lack of impact feeling, sometime doesn't grab ledge you looking at. Techland said its to prevent motion sickness is not true, it's very irritating and giving me dizzy even more. Expand

    This game is a true nightmare! I had really high hopes for this one but it feels like a pre alpha version of the first game at full cost. Cyberpunk was a bug-fiesta, but I had at least fun with it. This game just frustrates, cause you can feel it wasn‘t ready yet in any minute of the game. Sorry Techland this is a disaster. The first game was 10 times better than this one.

    the game plays me despite the various bugs and problems but the thing that makes itself felt the most is the absence of the Italian language of the game that does not make you have fun as you should .... I watch the game at the subtitles. I fell off a building several times just because I was reading the subtitles

    Dying Light 1 was one of the biggest surprises i had. I did not like dead island, so i thought that dying light would be more of that formula, but they did innovate. Not only there was parkour, the story also was interesting (primarily cuz the virus didnt leave Haram. We kept seeing the worlds efforts to fight an apocalyptic virus, leaving innocent people to die so they wouldnt spread theDying Light 1 was one of the biggest surprises i had. For be the biggest deal about dying light 1 was the ragdoll physics. Gta, red dead redemption AND dying light 1 are the only games where i can say the ragdolls feel almost perfect. You hit a zombie in the jaw and you would see his head moving the opposite way with a higher velocity than the rest of the body, thus resulting on the zombie falling on the ground. That was not an pre-defined animation, but a exporadic reaction caused by the hit of my weapon (ofc due to the engine). The weapons had weight and punch to them and the zombies reaction to hits was one of the biggest parts of the game for me.
    Fast forward to 2022 and the game has the generic "zombie virus destroyed the whole civilization" type of plot, parkour looks off (improved, but the feeling isnt quite there) and dont get me started on animations. Ragdolls are non existant for weapon hits. You wont hit a zombie in the face and cause him to fall and try to get up. He'll simply stand there getting hit until the lifebar is fully drained **** off). The dropkick is so strong it looks like the hulk just drop-kicked the zombie.
    In general, the game feels, looks, smells and tastes like dead island 3 and does not import one single great thing of what made Dying Light 1 so immersive and grounded. best comparison would be Ghost Recond Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint (not pay to win. Just the general vibe shift from one to another)

    Good game but not as much as the first one. Parkour system has gone through a serious development and feels much better now, but regarding everything else i'm not so thrilled. The side quests and setting feels dull compared to the first part of the series. The night mode has become less scarier (It's not so easy to find a volatile unless you aim to do this on porpose . I don't get how this cross-gen game can be so demanding like 1080p 60 on current gen with no special visual features is insane! this just shows bad optimization, look at ratchet and clank.     It makes me so sad to leave a review like this because this series is my favourite. The first game was an unforgettable masterpiece that changed the generic formula of zombie games and will be remembered for a long time. But dying light 2 unfortunately didnt provide me with as much entertainment as it's predecessor. I'm shocked at how they butchered the parlour with the stupid addition ofIt makes me so sad to leave a review like this because this series is my favourite. The first game was an unforgettable masterpiece that changed the generic formula of zombie games and will be remembered for a long time. But dying light 2 unfortunately didnt provide me with as much entertainment as it's predecessor. I'm shocked at how they butchered the parlour with the stupid addition of moon gravity jumping, slow as **** vaulting and climbing and the overall default running speed is unbelievably slow, especially when you compare it to the first game. Weapons are far too weak even in the endgame (yes I have finished the game) zombies are still tanky but most of all fighting the zombies is just a big cure for insomnia. They don't have ragdoll physics, there is no weight to your weapons at all, and they barely stagger when you hit them. Fighting zombies in the first game was 1000 times more fun in the first as there was so many ways to kill them but in this game they don't even tumble when you kick them off of rooftops they just freeze and fall straight down like a loony tunes character. I know that alot of people love this game and good for them but many of those people I know haven't even played the first. On my final note feel like I need to mention that this games graphics have almost zero character compared to the first. The first games graphics really popped and had so much character. Yes there are more polygons and rendering but you will never be able to distinct where you are unless the buildings are taller because you will be seeing the same mossy green rooftops the entire game. In the first game I knew where I was all the time because no place looked the same and the old town especially had alot of distinctive areas like the town centre full of zombies or the danger zone that played a fake message leading into a trap with a serial killer. Plus the nights are just not scary anymore. It is way to bright to be even classed as night. it should be called evening instead. There a no more roaming volatiles and the special infected are almost never present apart from the howler. I think I saw a banshee and a volatile about 2 times my entire playthrough which one of each was scripted btw. And you will never feel afraid at night like you did in the first. I wish I could praise the game more but the only beneficial change is the combat between humans. If I was to suggest what to play instead, I would suggest the platinum edition of dying light 1 Expand

I waited for this game ever since I've finished the Following DLC, was in absolute love with Techland's post apocalyptic world vision and replayed DL1 more than once. Dying Light 2 is a bad game, and if you liked the first game, I believe you're going be disappointed. Let me start off by saying that it is not a survival horror anymore. Its a survival rpg but the horror part it not there. The game is just not scary. In Dying Light 1, even near the very end of the game, a group of zombies was an actual threat that was hard to get rid off, not to mention virals or goons. At the beginning of the game encounter with 2-3 zombies was enough to get you killed. The sense of impeding doom, that you can die at any moment was present through the entire Dying Light 1 experience. In Dying Light 2 I forgot there were zombies at all. They didn't pose much of a threat and we're dying in 3 hits. There is a very limited variety of them as well, even ar night. In DL1 you'd meet at least 3 variants of goons, toads, bolters, voliatiles... DL2 let's you meet a voliatile mostly in cutscenes. Zombies are just not scary. Second thing is the night. The night was stripped of all gear inducing elements. There's no more nighttime challenge, basically. Enemies are more or less the same, and it's enough to stick to the roof to avoid any threat. It's just boring. The night lest you explore places where zombies stay during the day. Places that are more or less the same. There are a couple of variants that look 1:1, copy-paste, not interesting at all. You're just not inspired to explore, and exploration was big in DL1. This leads to the next issue - crafting system was diminished to absolute **** you do not need it to go through the game. I remember going after resources needed all the time, like gazes or metal parts in DL1. Well, you don't have to do it in DL2, this you are not inspired to explore even more! I finished the game with a ****ton of garbage that I looted though the game. You can't craft cool weapons right off the bat, there's just not much pressure on exploration which was major and vital in DL1. The city IA NOTHING like Harran, I get it's been many years since Harran but.. come on! Villedor is cool only at times where Harran had that eerie, post-apocaliptic-kind-of-cool atmosphere everywhere. The second game was stripped off all the elements that made DL1 a gem. Instead, Techland focused on the story, which is cheap, non-logical, jumps from thing to thing without any explanation. My 5 year old nephew would have written a better narrative, what the **** Techland. The ending was dog**** and the final boss was just cheesy? He fought with a tactic of a person who goes through Dark Souls for the first time. The game has nothing to do with DL1!! No atmosphere at all. Parkour was an improvement, and parkour-combat was very cool, bit it's just not enough. Graphics are ... I dunno, I'm not big on graphics anyway, they were enough for me, but it does not compensate anything. The game is bad and should stand as an example on how NOT to make a sequel. Especially if people want more of the same thing. I was very sad when I finished this game. Oh, and the 60$ pricetag is pathetic. The whole thing seems like a call of duty money grab. Expand

    Dying Light 2: Stay Human looks more like a DLC to the first game than a whole new one. This does not mean it is a bad game, but it is not one that you should rush to buy. It looks and feels like you are playing the same Dying Light from years ago, and despite the storytelling being solid and entertaining, it is not enough to justify buying it right now.

    Delivering a huge improvement on the first title, but lacking with new features, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is quite fun, brutal, rewarding and a game of exceptional quality when it comes to the open world. Minor issues still exist here, but Techland successfully manages to live up to the hype surrounding the game.

    Dying Light 2 ups the ante from the original in almost every way, offering more satisfying parkour, combat and enough jump scares to make you never want to walk in the darkness ever again. A worthy and essential sequel.
