    Techland sold out to Tencent, inserted microtransaction into the game the same way they would insert pineapple into your buttie and grabbed some bonus from their Chinese overlords.

    Screw Techland. Once amazing company, now not worth a even a spit their way.

    Over a year after Dying Light 2's release and shortly after Tencent's acquisition of them, Techland has added microtransactions to Dying Light 2. This is pathetic.

    I played Dying light 1 and loved it! Therefore, I pre-ordered the Definite Edition of Dying light 2 because I wanted to support Techland. I was surprised how unfinished the game was on release. The foundation they started was horrible and unplayable. I waited and gave the team a chance to work on it. Years have passed and it's bland. It's still a buggy mess( I had to restart the whole gameI played Dying light 1 and loved it! Therefore, I pre-ordered the Definite Edition of Dying light 2 because I wanted to support Techland. The first one had them, but it didn't affect gameplay. Now, if you want a powerful/decent weapon or skill you have to pay for it. I can't recommend this game. All my weapons, outfits, etc. that came with the definitive edition have been changed for the worse. Story is boring, quest are boring, gameplay is mediocre. The first one is much better. Do yourself a favor and save your money or buy another game.… Expand

    I must say i like the first game more but its really not that bad. For all the Italian gamers you guys should be happy that the voice is missing I am an Austrian and i want the option switching language so bad. The voice acting in german is so bad i have never seen something like that i am not kidding. It ruins the game.
    Update: Dying light points are now in the game.

    Terrible sequel, the first was so much better. Not sure why they removed all the cool stuff from the original but this game shouldn't even share the same name. Honestly, night time use to fill you with dred as the Virals would hunt you down and chase you, and you stood no chance in hell against them. So going out at night was terrifying. O jogo peca muito naquilo que é seu diferencial que é a falta de verticalidade pra fazer o pakour. Na segunda etapa a verticalidade aparece, mas ela é sempre mal distribuída.     Night ruined by timer I had to put it down after 7 hours....worst design decision in the history of gaming. Baffling!.... Such a step back from the first game which I loved.....so sad .... gaming industry in the mud

I thought it can't be that bad as reviewers made it out, but oh boy, it was even worse I got: A very slow and unresponsive movement with no ability to run on command(really guys, not every game that has parkour in it has to be a mirrors edge clone). It is as interesting or complex as the story in your average pay to win korean mmo grinder. I just burned out on the initial missions, when you need to get into the sewers at night, but you just can’t because there are infected running around near the hatch that don’t allow you to break the hatch, you can’t kill them all, new ones appear. The story is abhorrently bad, and combat is dull, to say the least.     The voice acting is awful, and quests are an endeavour to see how long an individual can withstand terrible level design and boring objectives. Parkour is floaty and underwhelming. It lacks the connectivity and oomph of the first game.

    Immunity timers kills this game. This game doesn't want you to play at your own pace. It's always rushing you to craft and eat mushrooms or find a black light to sit under. If you are on a stealth mission, don't think for a second that you can chill for a minute and plan out your next move, because the timer is always ticking and nagging away at you.

    I purchased the Ultimate edition when it first launched because I was such a big fan of Dying Light and the Following. This game was such a huge let down. I agonizingly played through the hole hoping there would be some redemption but the story and the mechanics were just awful. Such a let down.

Constant bugs, brain dead AI, meaningless choices, worse combat mechanics, glitchy teleporting enemies, lazy fetch quests etc.. but the biggest sin is that it's not scary.. at all.. the 1st one was very scary especially at night.     So eine müll Grafik, sowas zum Release ist zum schämen, da bringen solo Entwickler bessere Grafik zusammen. Vorallem versteh ich es nicht das Teil 1 auf der Ps4 eine bessere Grafik hatte als der zweite Teil auf Ps5.

    Took them 6 years to make a game that's inferior to the first game in literally every possible way. The game is programmed to screw you over whenever it can. 100% of my deaths can be attributed to the fact that the movement system no longer works, and it's basically impossible to perform precise maneuvers due to how floaty and automatic it is now.     Wow. Just wow. This took 7 years to make? What did Techland do for the first 6.5? This is NOTHING like DL1. Incredibly bad graphics, sound is fuzzy (and voices echo), dialogue is cringe. This is nothing more than a parkour sim. I'd walk over my grandma's face to play anything else.

I loved the first one, kiccin random freaks off roofs and blowing them tf up you got guts and bits of meat flying around everywhere looking like a slaughter house on delivery day, but this one just sucks. It doesn't at all give you the feel of the older game in terms of the atmosphere, but at least this time it has a boss fight..well the boss fight is full of bugs and the Waltz dude you have to fight can just mystically punch you the fucc out from about 10 meters away. It's a pretty game don't get me wrong but good graphics don't make up for bad gameplay. On top of that, all the survivors and enemies themselves are either weird or just plain dumb as **** They don't at all give you a sense of "oh OK this here is a bad mf I best watch myself now" nah they just drool and wait for you to do stuff. It's just another let down game building off the success of the previous. Everything is like a crappy emulated version of what it used to be, the grapple hook used to be dope like a great value spider man now all the hook does is let you dangle like sweaty nuts on a hot day. Plus their new boomstick replacement for guns is lame lame, where is my golden double barrel? I don't give any ****s about them wanting more medieval fighting or their in-game monument I want a blicky to violate the violitiles. Thus in conclusion the first game used to go as hard as a armadillo on viagra, now this one is about as stiff as a grampa with dysfunction.… Expand

The Story plot was more interesting in the first part, but to be fair they executed the Story better in DL2. The map is okay, but i preferred the old map with the dense housing placements. The grappling hook was more fun to use in DL1 then the paraglider in DL2 in my opinion. The changes that bother me the most are the changed physics of combat and the zombies. Weapons were more satisfying to use and zombies had way better physics. One good change was the removal of guns i think melee fits the game better.… Expand

They put so much time and effort into everything except for the fun part, and clearly did not understand what made their first game so incredibly good.     The game is so incredibly clunky, slow (way too many cutscenes/dialog). The fighting is so lame being RPG style (this one is really tragic because they should have just copied how good the fighting felt from the first one instead of completely ruining it).

    I hope they take this failure and learn from it to do a proper sequel to the first, and realize they don't need high production value cutscenes/dialog/etc, they just need to make the core game fun and let the player *play* the game instead of slogging through a bunch of media.    … Expand

    The latest patch has made a bug laden game completely unplayable in co-op. We just made the chase for centeal loop and not a SINGLE sequence out of the 10 something parts worked. Not a singöe row of code seemed to have been run in the correct order. Co-op was at least working before that patch..

Additional content as lackluckster as its predecessor, and genuinely hurts to play. Both games have such a fun charm at its base, and continues to deteriorate with every update. I played on launch day, experienced plenty of bugs, few gamebreaking, but that’s to be expectedWholeheartedly disappointing. I check in another couple months later to the same stuff, only new bugs with yet another….~arena dlc~! So unique, truly groundbreaking. There’s really not much to say beyond detailing every last way this game has failed to work on both editions, across several major updates, across several saves.     Very similar to first part except this have incredible over the top whole screen polluting "shine effect" that can not be turned off. 3points for good fast responsive aiming.

    They really tried. Maybe even tried to hard. Nothing to do in the wold. To many rpg elements. It's boring didn't like the story. You need to go to icons on your map to get stuff. Not find a store or a weapon shop and get your stuff. Really liked 1, but this, this is just not worth it.

Остальные же второстепенные персонажи не вызывают к себе никакой интерес. С геймплейной точки, игра не может предоставить ничего, что могло бы завлечь игрока. Все те же аванпосты, минимальное количество побочных интересных заданий и провальные ночные задания. В первой части ночь была самым атмосферной и пугаещий частью игры. В DL2 мы имеем быстрые побегушки от точки к точки,лишь бы хоть что-то увидеть. Баги это стандарт для AAA-проектов. Если не одного не встретили значит вы везунчик. Вернёмся к концовкам игры. Фееричный провал и не более. Сделать несколько концовок и все походы как одна, это надо уметь. Все эти проблемы в совокупности заставляют пропустить эту игру,даже фаната первой части.     1. Bad story
    2. Poorly optimised- 1080p@60 fps on latest consoles is downright appalling. The graphics are not that good so why is the game so demanding?
    3. Loads of bugs and glitches
    4. Poor mechanics- that too in first person will make you motion sick and might give you a headache.
    5. Lazy Side quests and way too many of them
    6. Combat- it is so bad that you will always try to avoid it.
    7. Too much filler to distract you from the hilariously bad story but even that too is equally bad
    8. And ya.....no HDR
    9. BAD voice acting

    Parkour is nice but it too gets stale after a while

    I usually try to get the maximum trophies I can, for a game. But I just gave up here. I ultimately decided to end the main story somehow and be done with it.
    Such games call for a demo to try the game beforehand.
    DO NOT PICK THIS GAME UP....I cannot emphasize this enough. Many other outstanding games came out around the same time like Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring. Try those and your money will be very well spent.

    My friend and I dived into the first Dying Light a year ago and although the game was quite outdated at that time, we finished the whole game in coop with pleasure. It was a great action game with a quite satisfying combat system. The story started okay but became boring quite fast, but this didn't spoil the action. New skills and tricks helped to keep the game fun while we progressed through the story.

    Dying Light 2 lacks everything that made the first game fun. It introduced a bunch of RPG mechanics that don't give anything to the gameplay. The combat system is no longer satisfying. Now you need carefully work on your build and check all the numbers instead of killing a bunch of zombies with a nice slash. If your weapon is a lower level than it needs to be - you will be slashing one zombie for a very long time.

    My other issue with the game is that it's SO bugged. For a game that's been out there for quite a few months, the amount of bugs is ridiculous. We were stuck in all possible places, some quests were impossible to finish because of the bugs, animation of zombies lagged all the time. They were randomly running in different directions, then teleporting to different places. Sometimes they ignored us like we were not there, sometimes people and zombies were staying near each other without any interaction. Human enemies were rather dancing around rather than fighting. Instead of immersing in a scary and dangerous world, the game looked like some kind of freak show.

    And the story - it's just meh. After the first two hours, we started to skip most of the dialogues.

    I think the best sum up for this review is that after 6 hours in-game we simply deleted the game and felt relieved.    … Expand

The weapons are not fun. They feel terrible. And everything requires crafting which requires tons of unfun, painful grinding. I even used exploits to speed up the process and it was still a chore. Some quests just glitch out or dialogue options that should be present suddenly aren't. Worst of all are doors that no longer open. I was stuck inside one of the bases and no reloading the game didn't fix it. I actually got out by glitching through a wall. I finish virtually every game I play but I simply dread coming back to this because I have no idea what nightmare will await from game maker laziness.… Expand

Le mode résolution est injouable. Libérer les stations de métro revient à faire à chaque fois la même chose avec quelques zombies ou ennemis à l'intérieur mais rien de vraiment flippant.

    Et SURTOUT, WTF des rapaces ??? Ils sont ou sérieux la nuit ? Il y en a 2 dans les zones de quarantaines. Ok pourquoi pas, mais ensuite quand ils sortent la nuit ils sont ou ? Dans les rues c'est zombie et hurleurs, même quand les hurleurs nous détectent c'est pas avant le niveau de poursuite 3 qu'on voit arriver des rapaces. Ils sont où sérieux ?? À part après la détection la nuit est ennuyante. Tout comme la journée. Les zombies sont peu différents les uns des autres.

    Es asquerosamente malo, primero que nada el gameplay al inicio es tosco y tardas en acostumbrarte, si nunca has jugado juegos de esté estilo.

    Aparte está repleto de bugs por montones obligamdote a reiniciar una y otra vez, a pesar de que ya lleva un tiempo desde que salió no corrigen muchos de los molestos bugs, hubiera preferido lanzar mi dinero a la calle antes que comprar está porquería

I put 200+ hours into the game (mostly getting out of bounds) trying to platinum the game only for it to glitch out collectibles and trophies. I had every glitch you could encounter, I had characters stop talking with no mouth movements and no subtitles so I had no idea of the story in the beginning, I fell through the map, I got stuck, enemies would glitch through the roof, missions wouldn’t spawn, collectibles gone, couldn’t walk out of an invisible box, trophies glitch, character endless falling animation, graphics going completely haywire, Easter eggs not triggering and I managed to get outside the first island before it was finished and explore the second island… The story was boring, the music score wasn’t blended well with the surroundings to the point you knew a chase scene was happening before it happened, and the missions were so stupid. Why’d I get xp from listening to a guy talk about fish? Oh and the whole fact of being able to farm xp at night. I hated every second of the 200+ hrs I put into this game.     The game has sooo much potential, but the bugs! Oh the bugs!! The very last mission I've had to restart at least FIVE TIMES?!?! Its to the point now that I'm not enjoying the game, it's a chore to try and finish it!

Как пример, двое мужиков приходят к механику с претензией о поломке брони. Он им отвечает, что он сделал броню из титана чтобы она была прочной и лёгкой и что она не могла сломаться. Те двое ушли довольные с фразой, мол, ладно, проверим. Если вы ничего не поняли, не переживайте, я тоже, потому что все диалоги этой игры построены именно так, а именно очень глупо.
    Сюжет вообще ни о чём, квесты скучные, а финальный босс это какие-то аниме бои.
    Если хотите попрыгать по красивому городу - покупайте. Для других целей эта игра не годится..    … Expand

    This game is so good and bad at the time. Full of bugs in coop, Correctly buged in solo. Mecanics just don't match. Your character always attaches where he should not.
    After one episode with the same problems, how can techlands proposes the same unsatisfying gameplay ?

RIEN ne va : du gamplay en mousse, à l'histoire mais LUNAIRE, en passant par des problèmes techniques largement pire que Cyberpunk, ce qui est une prouesse quand même bref, ça respire le pas fini du tout/bâclé et ne parlons surtout pas des ""choix"" qui change encore moins    BON...

    j'ai adoré Dying light 1, mais se 2eme est juste catastrophique
    j'ai quand même essayé de finir le jeu tant bien que mal, la dernière mission est LUNAIRE c'est nimp on se Tp par la magie du scénar c'est débile la mission est full buggé et l'histoire ne fait mais AUCUN sens les devs ou les dirigeants du projet n'en avait plus rien a foutre..
    ET ces fondu au noir tout le temps la c'est HORRIBLE sa casse le peu de dynamique qui reste

Le mode co-op anti immersion (tout les joueurs sont le mêmes personages, des TP a outrance pour les joueur amis) . Le tuto qui dur plus de 1h pour posé des bases très bancales.. Des personnages, des dialogues, un vf complètement à la masse sans parler des IA. You will spend 50 hours and your character will look like **** You can't craft your own gun, or you can't improve your weapon as you like! Just buy another one which look worse!     Techland just refuses to admit they're no good at storytelling. They already failed in making a compelling liniar story in the first game, what made them think a story with choices (which is far more demanding) was gonna work out any better? The story was unbearable to get through ontop of such garbadge voiceacting. Why would I care for how much choices I have when I don't care about anything going on? Take "The walking dead" season 1&2 by Telltale games for example, which btw its sole gamemechanic is choices, I very much enjoyed these games. Despite having barely any of its choices truly matter I still enjoyed every opertunity I got to invest in it's story, because I CARED FOR IT. Not for Dying light. Do NOT BUY for its story.

    OPEN WORLD/ EXPLORATION:
    Here I can see people argue there has been improvements. For me, overall it's a strong NO. The open world has more fun layouts for you to interact with as you parkour, yes but there are no fun encounters, sidequests or gratifying loot to find. It was just no fun whatsoever to explore.
    Weapons break so fast you don't even care when you find a ledgendary weapon, and where the hell did all the weapon blueprints go?! That was my favorite loot in the first game!

    GRAPHICS:
    Who cares? It's Dying light, it has never been at the forefront for this game. Gameplay and exploration is what makes or breaks in this game. Graphics has been improved no doubt, but nothing to be competing with other triple-A-games in the industry. So if you're expecting great improvements in the looks department after 7 years from its predecessor you're out of luck.    … Expand

The rest is plaim **** the story makes no sense, it is off in so manh aspects that it is mind blowing it make it to launch like this. The weapons are all the same with blunt, slash, 1h and 2h next to rhe name..

    Weniger Schusswaffen, schlechte Grafik = PS3/PS4, viele bugs und Fehler,
    der erste Teil war ein Meisterwerk ! auch die welt ist eher grau und die zombies schlechter als bei teil 1.
    so ein dreck nie wieder kaufe ich bei relese. heutzutage ist es nicht möglich ein fertiges spiel zu bekommen ohne irgendwelche day1 patches so ein DRECK!

    Dying Light 2: Stay Human looks more like a DLC to the first game than a whole new one. This does not mean it is a bad game, but it is not one that you should rush to buy. It looks and feels like you are playing the same Dying Light from years ago, and despite the storytelling being solid and entertaining, it is not enough to justify buying it right now.

    Delivering a huge improvement on the first title, but lacking with new features, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is quite fun, brutal, rewarding and a game of exceptional quality when it comes to the open world. Minor issues still exist here, but Techland successfully manages to live up to the hype surrounding the game.
