Been playing diablo since the first game, Was disappointed with diablo 3 I thought they could only make it better, how wrong I was. the feeling of progression is non existent, everything scales to your level all the time so no feeling of progression or achievement whatsoever. also hate that the stat points are distributed automatically. I just bought the game so hI have not played the game before the season 1, I mean this is not just a bad season complaint, the game for mee is boring ... well back to diablo resurrection I guess... Fun at start, exploration is nice. Then so repetitive, it's getting annoyingly boring... Stopped playing. It's nice to build expectations for players, it's even better to give content to keep them

It's a great game, but the developers have to be careful with the community. Making characters weaker to keep players playing longer is not the best way to make the game more attractive.

Dopo i neri è diventato tutto troppo più macchinoso e basato su un grinding compulsivo che chi ha una vita a parte il pc o lavora in generale non ha come fare, per tanto mi fa cacare

This is hardly a game. Three points for a good story and somewhat-fun character customization and builds, but after the magic of that wears off it's unplayable.

Yeah so I logged in just to change my score from a 9 to a 0.
Diablo 4 endgame and balancing is a pathetic excuse. How about some real balance patches and making the game more fun instead of more grindy. Oh but what's that the psychologist team at blizzard said you have to implement as many mechanics and patches to keep players hooked and play for longer? Well I DON'T care, fix the game.

If you are looking for an aRPG where you feel powerful, with amazing gear and loot, rewards for your long grinding and an amazing and exciting end-game, do NOT buy Diablo 4.

    Specific problems with this game:

    1. Gear. You will get so much gear. 99.99 of it will be useless. You will go 10 or more levels without finding anything better. The affix system means there are so many stats and the chances of getting anything to match your build is very low. After level 85 (or even before), there is no better gear and therefore no reason for most players to keep grinding as there is no reward.

    2. You will constantly be the underdog. Just as you start to feel powerful you will move up a world tier or more nightmare dungeon levels and wondered what happened.

    3. Crowd control. You will, especially in the end game, be constantly stun locked, frozen, dazed, knocked down and poisoned. Poison damage in this game if OFF THE SCALE. Most builds have 1 skill with one use to get out of this and it has a cooldown.

    4. Boring. The end game, and, indeed, the entire game is simply boring. You will do the same dungeons and events over, and over, and over and over again for little or no reward. All of the dungeons in the game are based on 8 or so styles, all have very similar layouts and all have almost identical sections and goals.

    5. Forgetful enemies. Every single enemy type in this game, right up from a lowly hedgehog to the biggest elite enemy of any type can have the same attacks, spew fireballs, throw poison, teleport, cold, etc. They all blend into a sense of sameness.

    6. The horse is terrible, with bad cool downs and it gets stuck everywhere. You can actually run faster with some builds.

    7. Combat is a mess of colourful explosions and crowd control effects and a screenful of enemies. Somewhere in there is you, it's like find wally. You will struggle to see the worst attacks coming because there is so much crap on screen.

    8. Combat is boring. Almost all builds are simply attack with basic skill, build up resource, attack with core skill and use other skills as and when cooldowns are over. Most of the time with my druid I just stand still holding core skill down until everything dies, popping the occasional cooldown skill. That's it.

This game is well-known for unexpected bugs and lags. And developers don't know what to do and how to fix them.

It feels like playing a beta version with so many bugs, wrong decisions and bad design. What a huge pity! After dedicating so many hours to the game, I feel I have wasted my time with no true sense of accomplishment. Keeping on playing this game would be synonymous with self-flagellation.

Let's be clear, I tried to like this game I really did. I've been a fan and been playing since the Diablo 1 days. I do want to say the campaign was the highlight of the game - I actually really enjoyed the campaign.

But in a very un-Diablo move you no longer can go back and re-fight the same bosses you faced in the campaign. Instead the end game is a nightmarish slog through the same bland dungeons or open world gather/kill tasks over and over and over to the point that there is no point.

The campaign gave me a lot of hope, but the end game revealed this is just a boring, shallow shell of a once great series.

Bad game, Season 1 is **** sorry.
The Battlepass also simply makes no sense, why should you spend money to be able to earn something in a month, which is only temporary anyway?

If you already take money in your hand, then you want to have it directly, so we players are forced to play actively.

One of the worst experiences in my life. Didn't want to buy Diablo at first, because I do not really like the way Blizzard handles things, but they are really good with designs, musics and the general hype made me buy this game. Uninstalled a few minutes ago. It is fun the first 10 hours, then everything about it is useless. Completely.

As a lot of other players have already mentioned, this is pretty fun when you play through the campaign. The cutscenes are great, the voice acting is great, the graphics are nice and the gameplay feels good. That's pretty much where my praise ends, unfortunately. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Diablo 4 is like Diablo 3, but without the fun. I stopped playing around 20-30 hours in.

On the positive side. The graphics are way better and the cut scenes are excellent.

On the negative side, here were my issues:

    1. The world is boring. Visually, and as an experience it's just endless identical dreary landscapes and dungeons. Diablo 3 had so much more variety in places, like the levels when you are in a besieged castle, in Heaven, and so on.

    2. The campaign is boring. It is mostly chasing the bad guy from one place to the next, finding out she already left and you need to go somewhere else. When you add the fact that all those places are visually boring... it feels like you are waiting for something to happen. Again compared to the story in D3 which was epic. I mean, you got to heaven and it was being invaded by hell.

    3. They took out the thing I really like about Diablo 3- finding that one piece of gear that makes your build work and increases your damage exponentially. That was glorious, and it allowed you to do things like farming and speed runs. D4 doesn't seem to have things that make this difference, and the enemies scale with you so you are getting gear just to keep up. Overall it makes combat slow and grindy.

Overall, the game feels monotonous, dreary and a huge grind.

I know everyone is complaining about the season pass thing and the patch. I don't care about the season pass and I stopped playing before the patch. But from what I understand, they made the game even slower and more grindy. Wow.

I have 100level Druid, Rouge, Barbarian and 80level Necromancer. The design of endgame is really boring. Changing to the other BD really wastes my time. They just give you 32 malignant hearts for 90 days season 1 ? When they found some bug, why they can't hotfix immediately? They are meaning to extend the life of D4, but also losing a lof of players who is looking forward to playing s1.

People have really short memories, and and very high expectations based on their personal wants and desires. And when they don't get those things, the entitled masses flood the internet.

Let's talk about a few things:

1 - "Predatory monetization tactics" - None...ZERO...of the things you can purchase in game with real money give you more of the game, or an advantage in the game, they are purely cosmetic.

2 - "There's no endgame" - Diablo 2, the most coveted in the series, LITERALLY has no end game. Meanwhile D4 gives us helltides, nightmare dungeons, world bosses and legion events. There's always something to do.

3 - "Patch 1.1.0 broke the game" - No it didn't. This is the greatest example of hyperbole I've ever seen in gaming. The majority of people who complained about the patch, did so without ever playing the first season.

4 - "The game goes nowhere" - first time playing an ARPG? You kill, loot, level, repeat. It's like someone complaining in Gran Turismo that all you do is race...

5 - "They took everything good about 3 and threw it away" - You complained the story wasn't dark enough, they made it darker. You complained it wasn't hard enough, they upped the challenge. You companied there wasn't enough community, they made live events.

Some people will never be happy. And what's worse, some just live to be angry when they cannot grasp that someone is having a good time that they don't get.

D4 is in it's infancy, and will only get better over time.

There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

Diablo is back, and taking no prisoners. The top-quality, lengthy campaign will be enough for some, while the endgame should prove a welcome obsession for others. [Issue#30, p.84]
