    The devs made an already great couch co-op experience (D3) even better. My wife and I really loved playing the campaign and leveling up to 75.

    And after having reached the end game, it only takes 2 nightmare dungeons before I'm mentally and physically ready to take a healthy nap.

    Great game for Diablo fans. If you play normally, you are motivated for a long time. Currently at 100h playtime and so I think: For the money enough content. Through individual seasons there will always be something to do.

    In general Diablo IV is a very decent ARPG. Some of the decisions the systems designers made have to be questioned but there is lots of room for improvement.
    I like the game and don’t regret buying it. If you are into ARPG‘s I‘d recommend you buy the base version and give it a try.

    The game has its flaws but it was honestly perfectly fine for me. I'm typically too busy to play for hours each day, so I didn't really experience the issues some of the others players seem to be having. It's Diablo. I love it. What can I say.

Quiero entender que, al tratarse de una franquicia de tan alto nivel, los jugadores esperan la perfección, dando un tajo en la nota a la mínima oportunidad. Que ciertas parches no han gustado a la comunidad, o que la 1ª temporada no ha sido lo que se esperaba, pues se comenta.     Don't listen to the review bombers, if you work a full time job and have only 2-3 hours to play daily then you will enjoy this game. It's pure and simple: kill demons get loot. Graphics, environment, gameplay, sound design is stellar, really feels like a next-gen RPG. The story was decent and the cutscenes are like an AAA movie.     I found this new Diablo game pretty enjoyable
    Of course it isn't perfect, but it menage to entertain me for more than 90 hours

    My wife and I only play about 45 minutes per day during the week and a few hours Saturday and Sunday. I love that we can both do dungeons together and not need a bigger group. She is having a blast and it's fun playing with her. Thanks Blizz for the memories!

Потом в 2004 купил D2 - я два раза пере прошел игру и это было потрясно. Diablo 4 - изумительная и потрясающая - я не понимаю за что ставить так мало баллов! I get the micro transactions are annoying, so jus don’t buy nothing a wait til prices drop, that easy. I also get patches can make changes that upset people but to review bomb what’s clearly a great game is crazy to me. And yes it clearly is a great game, gameinformer gave it over a 9 and I have trusted their opinions most my life with games and they never steered me wrong, also when ALL critics say it is a great game then you know all the negative reviews are people who obviously put tons of time into the game jus being mad about something, if it’s a bad game why put so much time into, when I do t like a game I just stop playing bc I lose interest but this game has me addicted like only great games do!!     We had fun on Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. We now have a new Diablo and this is Diablo 4. It's still a hack and slash action-packed game. It never gets old.

    I understand the noobs. They hate everything. But I am no noob. I gunned down many of these noob Diablo 4 haters on its forums. And I would continue to do it. They just need to GITGUD. A perfect game for them is a faceroll game.    We had fun on Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. We now have a new Diablo and this is Diablo 4. It's still a hack and slash action-packed game. It never gets old.

The five available classes have quite different playstyle, and most classes have a variety of viable builds that can be used in order to level up and finish the campaign. After hitting levels 60-70 Diablo IV will get boring for casual players, but for hardcore fans, it starts getting more interesting, as optimization of build and gear are necessary in order to push higher difficulty levels. Season 1 was probably launched too soon, and it didn't provide crucial additions to the game, however it is still fun to play and leaves room for experimentation.… Expand

Initial release has small issues, which is normal for any new game, but the team managed to deliver on many things for this game, keeps listening to the community and fixes many problems as they occur. What I liked the most is the instant action right after character creation, which is also typical for the Diablo franchise. No hourly long setting up and pointless talk to NPC. Action is well balanced with story and leaves room for the imagination to go wild. That said: graphics are excellent, sound is superb, story is amazing, character classes are true to the franchise, character creation is best so far compared to other Diablo games, build opportunities are many and problematic builds disappear patch after patch, combat is admirably well done, though replayability in endgame could be improved, controller does not support haptics and adaptive triggers, yet, so I hope these are coming. I find this game simple, yet genius and genre-defining. Typical for the company behind it - making bold and risky moves, people usually fail to initially comprehend. Not quite happy with the high prices of the shop, though that does not interest me much. Looking forward to playing more seasons and expansions! More intriguing content is needed, so hopefully the developer manages to find the right talent to continue the Diablo legacy. It will always have a special place in my heart as I am sure it also has for many others. Seeing a lot of extremely negative reviews here tells me people have a very poor understanding and sense of appreciation to what they are given and perhaps that's what they also gain in life.     I have waited for this game for years and though it has had some bumps it has been a blast to play especially with friends there are many people that are using the lack of instant gratification to bash a game that's still in its cradle like most of the titles its compared to the initial game is just the beginning and i look forward to more

    I'll be 1000 with you, I'm really not the type of person to just jump on to bandwagon negativity or the idea of review bombing.

    That being said, there's a level of trust and faith that has been utterly destroyed by the team in charge of this game. For context I have about 250 hours into the game and have reached 100 on my sorcerer and 75 on a rogue. The switch to Sorc and have enjoyed that play style but the longer it was played, the more I noticed my friends who have been leveling up beside me have been outclassing me tenfold. That's fine and fair and I like just doing zappy things anyway but it got to the point where I couldn't clear the content that they could clear and it felt bad. I was grinding my way to 100 to be able to help out with Uber Lilith. No dice, too weak. Spent time grinding for gear in popular builds to beat her and once again... no dice, too weak. We rely too heavily on CC in order to get to a level about a 1/4 of what other classes can put out and with about half the survivability. I still had fun on the way up until about 85ish.

    Now... that was a fun story only to set up for the slap in the face that the 1.1 patch gave everyone but somehow in some magical way made the weakest class into the weakest class but somehow so much worse. We lost all of our tool in order to survive in terms of a cool down reduction nerf since we rely on 4 defensive skills for every build because you know... balance. We lost our damage from Devouring Blaze and the Aspect of Control nerf which I would be fine with... if they actually bothered to buff literally anything to take place of it. Like buff the skill damage or the passives or something please. We've been starving for crumbs and those nerfs without nothing else just made us so weak. I'm dealing about 1/6th of my damage when my friends are pretty okayish comparatively. They took a bruise to an arm, sorcs got cut off at the shins.

    The community has been having conversations about Sorcs being the weakest before the patch, how the hell did devs not know the state of it prior? Do they not listen? Between that and making monsters stronger and slowing down experience gain makes this patch very slow and very boring if someone was to start again which is literally what Seasons are made for.

    What a way to turn a 8-9 out of 10 into a big fat 0. The devs don't respect your time and they don't respect your support for the game. This will literally be the only bad review I write about something. I was really hoping to be in better spirits after sleeping it off a night but I'm somehow more angry the more I think about it. Don't buy the game until the devs figure this out and if they do and fix the problems that have been plaguing the game since the beginning and the new ones they added, be careful and bail if they do it again.    … Expand

    Diablo 3 had rebirth. This allowed you to keep the same character. But resetting it to level 0 and starting the season. Redesigning a new character every time a season starts isn't interesting to me. What after 20 season I'll have 20 characters? I only want to manage 5 characters, one of each class.

    After a quick patch everything seems to be expected, been playing with Sorcerer and immensely enjoying it. There are still some issues with inventory management, but except for that, I enjoy playing it.

    People have really short memories, and and very high expectations based on their personal wants and desires. And when they don't get those things, the entitled masses flood the internet.

    Let's talk about a few things:

    1 - "Predatory monetization tactics" - None...ZERO...of the things you can purchase in game with real money give you more of the game, or an advantage in the game, they are purely cosmetic.

    2 - "There's no endgame" - Diablo 2, the most coveted in the series, LITERALLY has no end game. Meanwhile D4 gives us helltides, nightmare dungeons, world bosses and legion events. There's always something to do.

    3 - "Patch 1.1.0 broke the game" - No it didn't. This is the greatest example of hyperbole I've ever seen in gaming. The majority of people who complained about the patch, did so without ever playing the first season.

    4 - "The game goes nowhere" - first time playing an ARPG? You kill, loot, level, repeat. It's like someone complaining in Gran Turismo that all you do is race...

    5 - "They took everything good about 3 and threw it away" - You complained the story wasn't dark enough, they made it darker. You complained it wasn't hard enough, they upped the challenge. You companied there wasn't enough community, they made live events.

    Some people will never be happy. And what's worse, some just live to be angry when they cannot grasp that someone is having a good time that they don't get.

    D4 is in it's infancy, and will only get better over time.    … Expand

I find the story to be a lovely addition to the Diablo storyline, the cutscenes are gorgeous and well worth the work to get to them, I've enjoyed the abilities the Legendary Gear gives as well as how relatively easy it is to obtain.     So the game, it is good. I started with barbarian enjoyed the story, the exploration, the fights, the enemies, the missions. But then something was bad, the class.

    I started following a guide, because I didnt want to do the same mistakes I did in D2. So character was strong. But I didnt like Whirlwind. So I changed to a personal build and, lol, I was weak, and boring.
    I created a rogue thinking of a shadow build but I found out the Imbuement build. The game became so easy and funny. I killed the bosses faster than other classes. But ¿was it OP?, no. There were still bosses from strongholds that killed me sometimes. I had to rebuild me just to beat them. And that was enjoyable.
    The other 3 classes were funny too. Druid is weak, Sorcerer is pew pew and Necromancer is... a full tank. Oh yeah Necro was exploting blood with Overpower damage.

    The story was.. good, but not the best one. Neyrelle and Donan were family reasons, at least Donan didnt started like that but they changed the direction of his decisions. Then it is Lilith family story, it was cool. And Lorath with Elias story like father and son, again. It is to based on family. There were good backgrounds stories like Taissa or Mephisto. At least in general the start and ending were good.

    I liked the system of levels. I could play with my friend who was 10 levels down. There are some bad things about this but I go more for the good finger.

    The enemies were good. I found a lot of differents bosses. Even if they repeate in the dungeons, there is no need to farm all the dungeons. Their attacks are dogeables. So you need to think how to fight them.

    The scenary was perfect. Yes, D3 showed us the worst hell for babies. And here you enter a dungeon with a lot of blood, bodies, pain, etc. The good Diablo game.

I played the game in my own time and enjoyed the campaign which is very good and also played a bit with friends. Money well spent and definitely one of my Top Games of the past few years. All the zeros seem to be mostly from folks that don’t like changes to their specific class or are grinding out late game. Can’t speak to late game, but from 1-50 the leveling experience in Season 1 has been a lot of fun.     Great campaign, great story, great combat, great open world, great visuals, great classes. Yes the game needs some QoL improvements and more endgame content, but it's an insanely solid base.

    I'm thinking myself how unhappy and sad life the gamers are to post here so much angry and hate because a simple update on the game. For me the game is still fun and it's always a pleasure to play. I have finished the game and I'm playning the season 1 now and having a lot of fun. I hope the developers have stomach to do the necessary updates to keep this game live as much as possible.

    Really fun game. I've lost hours and hours happily playing with new builds. Combat feel brutal and levelling is fun. There are a few bugs that need ironing which I'm sure will happen in time but after 100s of hours of play time I'm still very much enjoying. The community are a bit annoying and seem to have temper tantrums about ay old thing but you can mostly ignore them.

    The game had an absolute amazing launch. Unfortunatly, it still has some issues and the most recent patch made a lot of the community feel like the devs were out of touch. I partly felt this way too but after seeing how fast they are pushing out content and how well feedback is listened to and influcences their design decisions is giving me more than hope.

    I really dislike the review bombing that some people are doing. Giving a game a 0/10 is just plain unfair.

    The game was fantastic at first but recent patches have really tarnished my experience since I play sorcerer. It was a 10, but I’m changing to a 8 based on the recent changes. I just hope they make my class viable again soon!

    While the game had some launch issues, and I still am not ok with Blizzard and it's prices / decisions, I can't vote because of that, because I enjoyed the game, so I don't believe a bad rating would solve anything, even if the servers couldn't keep up at launch because of the mass log in, which was to be expected.
    Anyway, great game, love the story, can't wait to see what they do in the future.

    This is the first Diablo title I’ve played and I’ve loved it. The latest patch was a bit disheartening but I love how responsive the devs are to feedback and how transparent they have been with their plans. They seem to really care about the community!!

They are communicating with us more than they have with any other title. They know they messed up with 1.10, and I think they are on the right path now. Diablo is a long term game, learn, change, adapt learn etc. If this is to hard for uninstall the game and leave it to the people who love Diablo for what it is.     The game does have some problems, but it’s awesome. I got to 100 with a rogue and high 80s with a barb. I’m playing necro for season 1 and I’m still having a good time. I recommend it.

    When the games gets stale start a new Character like the game intended.
    This title is not an MMO where you play one character until you change games.
    I think most reviewers will agree that this games is not about the end game, Don't be in a rush.

    Amazing game, and wonderful addition to the Diablo franchise! Can’t wait to see what future seasons hold.

    The game recent 1.1.0a patch fixed a lot of broken builds and balanced the overall game experience. This caused an outrage by players who are addicted to power fantasies and played broken overpowered builds. When i reality it just made more builds possible to be played at the same level instead of 1-2 dominating.

    Fantastic game. The recent patch finally brought in some balance even if its a painful one and still tips the scale to one side. The reduction of levelling xp bonus wasn’t necessary as it removes the option to test out different classes after one of them is high enough level. Also the gold situation is slightly bad.     This game is great, I beat the same campaign 3 times in a row then I just endlessly run the same 3 boss fights non stop over and over and over again.

    Wait thats Diablo 2. This is WAY better.

    Awesome game. Great visuals, engaging gameplay and lots of content to keep you busy. I have only ran into 1 bug, the quest furys fate. Launch was super smooth especially considering its a AAA game with a ginormous player base. Can't recommend enough!! 10/10 would purchase again!

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
