    I made an account just to leave a review for this game. I don’t understand how it is so broken. Most of the time my load out does not work and I cannot even spawn. This means that I have to quit the match and join another just to play a broken game. There is so much wrong that I can’t even be bothered.

    What online FPS doesn’t have a scoreboard?…

    I payed 90 euro for a game that doesn't have game chat or the ability to join a friend's game. It's probably going to be an ok game in a year but now it is unfinished.

    This game made me want to do crack, it feels like they never learn their lesson. They always release a product broken if you already knew that this is the problem do these companies never learn their lesson with the games that they released they know a lot people I'm just disappointed in dice

    one of the worst implementations of a Battlefield game to date (in history of the Franchise) . The coding is amatuer and lazy and game released to the public with next to no quality testing . As an FPS you can not shoot other players as the Hitreg is broken - fundamental flaw in a shooting game - Aim assist is broken on Launch and mouse and keyboard suffer server input lags - Regardingone of the worst implementations of a Battlefield game to date (in history of the Franchise) .     Once multiple patches are released - check the reviews in 2022 to see if these issues are fixed

    The amount of content is less than any other Battlefield + no single player + less guns and all out Warfare has only 2 modes conquest and breakthrough

    Battlefiled 2042 requires you to save your loadouts - Loadouts include all you gun and vehicles customisations - you can spend a decent amount of time customising each weapon and vehicles.
    Loadouts delete for some unknown reason - so you loose all your customisations - Patch 3 should fix this issue but is broken currently ( patch 3 did not fix this issue) . So wait for a fix to come in 2022

    No scoreboard - Minimal destruction -

    The Maps do look colourful but lack a lot of detail compared to past games in the series There is no Single Player - but still priced at a premium price with less Multiplayer Maps and game modes - Less guns - The price of this game should be 1/3 of its current asking price
    There are free multiplayer games that offer more value then Battle 2042

    The are countless fundamental issues with Battlefield 2042 waiting to be fixed - that you can find on the official blog post

    A terrible implementation of a first person shooter - I would wait for the user score to climb back to above 7 or 8 before purchasing this game

    It was announced that the game was ahead of schedule by the CEO - Looks like they where behind by 1 year and there was a disconnect between EA/Dice Leaders and the developers on game development and issues

    Its clearly visible that the Battlefield Players/Community where not consulted in any feedback

    All Maps look unfinished and lack detail ( wall art and detail ) compared to even Battlefield 4 which is 10 Years old

    At the END of the DAY - EA went ahead and sold us a severely broken and unfinished game with less content. The Trailer was designed to foul us into buying the worst FPS game in history and I've been exclusively playing Battlefield since BF2 This was NOT a love letter to the Fans but a slap in the face by all involved . The Marketing was dishonest and fall of lies.

    After owning all BF games this one should never have been released, I never have experienced a BF game this poor in so many areas, paid the full price but I fee they should refund everyone + 20% for wasting our time.

    Poor map design, multiplayer, hit detection, squad system, veihle handling, UI, gun Varity, missing single player mode, Hazzard mode is terrible, wors battlefield made since the series inception. So many basic features missing, it's only a battlefield game by name, all the old shcool devs left and we are left with garbage, EA ruined another franchise. GG WP

    First thing the game should of been delayed. Glitches, bugs, rubber banding driving vehicles. Getting stuck in dieing cutscenes not be able too respawn . The destruction of the buildings is done poorly. Play BF4 in portal you will understand. Needs more game modes . I don’t mean more modes in portal.     This game is absolute garbage. Coming from a BF FANBOY. Nothing is fixed in the latest patch. Still can’t spawn on occasion. The whole game is trash and no patch can fix it. The maps are too big. Too many players. Get spawn killed too often. Guns are trash. Respawns are a joke. Get surrounded by enemies too easy because the way the objectives are configured.     I have been a hardcore battlefield fan since bad company 2 battlefield is the really the only game I pre order usually and I continued the trend with 2042. I can now say for the first time i returned a bf game. All the features that made battlefield battlefield has been removed or gutted so it is unrecognizable. The other games where eventually fixed with patches (which is arguably still unacceptable that a game launches in that state) but this game in my opinion may be to far gone. From this point forward I will not preorder another battlefield game. I hope for the best but expecting the worst.… Expand

    This is not a battlefield game, this is a different game, it’s so boring with a lot of bugs and very few weapons, the servers are empty and the maps are very big and wide so you have to walk for minutes to get someone to engage with, this game is absolutely garbage and it doesn’t feel like a battlefield game

    3) TOO MANY BUGS! You can search online and see it for yourself. Hitbox is just terrible, you cant revive friends whenever they die near walls, etc

    4) wacky controllers on the console. Aim assist is just terrible, wich makes a clear unfair fight against PC players. You need to press 2 buttons to throw a grenade, 2 buttons to throw a medkit, etc. PS5 version released without haptic feedback support

    5) NO VOIP. Wtf? How do you release a tactical shooter WITHOUT VOIP??

    6) NO SCOREBOARD!!

    7) Few maps and variety of weapons. How can a shooter like battlefield be released with ONLY 20 guns?

    8) no infantry based mode. We know that BF series is famous for its all out warfare gamestyle. But we always had infantry based modes(TDM, domination..).

    I am a huge fan of the franchise and i am so disappointed to be here criticizing the game, but its just impossible to have fun with it    … Expand

I even thought BF3/BF4 rubber banding was whatever since I still got to play Battlefield. To give perspective,    I have played BF since Battlefield 1942 and DC mod and this game is not Battlefield.

To give perspective, I liked Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5, though I was confused by the decision to give players the option to spawn in vehicles without things like airfields and contested bases to fight over vehicle-wise. I still did not mind any of those things too much because I was playing Battlefield.

    I tried playing this game but I found myself playing other games and putting this particular game on the shelf because it's just not Battlefield. I am not sure how to explain it, but this game just does not feel or play like Battlefield. This is just another recycled FPS Generic shooter.

    I avoid games like COD, APEX, and anything with a Battle Royale because it's just not my style. Heroes are for kids. Brainless shooting without strategy is for kids. Running out in the open without a plan is for kids. Coding a game before testing it is for kids. This game was made by and for kids. It's time to go back to our PC roots and play games like ArmA and Squad and hope the old DiCE dev games like Arc Raiders is good.

    Unplayable. So many bugs! This games does not deserve full price even if they fix it. Indeed, immediately they reduced it to 30% off, then 50%, and now it is permanently on sale. No guns, no maps, no story mode. Laggy servers. Every single aspect is bad and performs poorly if it is not glitchy. We, who paid full price, are mad at EA/DICE. I'll never pre-order again.

    Essential features are being called "legacy" features that weren't implemented at all - scoreboard, VoIP, global chat, classes.
    A small variety of weapons just proves how rushed this game is.

    They've decided not to make singleplayer and focus on MP and it's still horrible. Who was in charge? Who designed the maps? UI is decent, except for the fact that most important features are missing.

    I'm looking forward to seeing what will DICE (et al.) do in their next BF installment. Hopefully, it'd be less of a disaster compared to BF2042.    … Expand

    There is so much going wrong with this game, not even an introduction in the problems would fit in 5000 characters.
    But to sum it up: The game is full of bugs, almost unplayable and EA/Dice doesnt do anything about this. Its only getting worse.

Bad shots registrations I never felt more betrayed by a company like now. Put 6 guns In the game make 4 **** maps and call it a AAA Title. And smack a high price on it...

    This game is barely playable. Extremely lacking in content. Bare open maps with no flow. Game was clearly not ready. Ea did no testing and released a half baked game. Wish i could get a refund.

    Una vergüenza, 0 apoyo al juego durante más de 6 meses de su lanzamiento, siendo el Battlefield menos Battlefield de la jodida historia. Millones de Bugs y solo una actualización relevante un triste marcador de puntuación. Que debería de a ver estado desde el día1. 24 armas para un shotter del año 2021/2022 es una auténtica miseria. Ojalá que DICE QUIEBRE.

    Battlefield 2042 se résume assez facilement. Ce n'est même pas le fait qu'il soit mauvais. C'est encore plus insidieux que ça.
    Je n'ai tout simplement jamais réussi à lancer le jeu en multi. Peu importe le mode. Et quand j'ai eu l'illusion de pouvoir accéder à un serveur, mon jeu à crashé et a fait redémarrer ma Série X.

    Battelfield 3 (good), Battlefield 4 (great), Battelfield 1 (great), Battlefield V (awesome), Battlefield 2042 (Scam). How can you **** so badly after so many great games? I never write game reviews, but I went out of my way this time. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this piece of **** for the first time. You should totally refund people if you plan to survive this **** show of a game.

    Compared to older titles there is so much lacking in this game
    The amount of core features missing is absurd
    For a more detailed list i would suggest visitting the subreddits of battlefield 2042 and search for the top post of all time

    Honest to God, I will NEVER EVER pre order ANY game from DICE and any other studio under EA. Including the Dead Space Remastered version. They are not make video games any more. That are packaging it and use it for SCAM. We should file complaint / lawsuit to business agency for their DECEVING act. This is NOT American!!!

    Shame to dice, this game belong to trash, i tried it twice, once in open beta obviously 0/10, now it is on ps plus "free" game and nothing changed! 0/10, there is nothing good about this game

    Just tried it today and in all my years of gaming I haven’t found a game to bore me as quick as this one . This is a real shame on Dice.

    These POS killed the FPS genre. It was the only viable alternative to COD and not only did they fail they failed in every way possible. This game is raw sewage. Broken on so many levels that it doesn't even dignify further review. They had to give it away for 'free' to PS users just to get some numbers and guess what, a week later they all deleted it.     A truly disappointing "game", it is hardly a Battlefield title. EA/DICE really failed to deliver any features that made the past BFs fun and turned the franchise into a mere shell of its intentions. There is nothing in this "game" to even work towards, so don't waste your time.

    While the repetition and lack of content cooled my enthusiasm a bit, I am excited to see where DICE can take Battlefield 2042 from here — if current industry trends hold, I’m confident this will be a strong addition to my already-full shooter rotation after a few months of additions and updates.
