    The only fun to be had here, is at the expense of the awful game. Another dumpster fire brought to yoy by EA. 2042 is not worth the $100 investment I made for the ultimate edition. It's not even worth playing if it were free.

    Apparently this game was not made by developers who actually play video games, no, it was made by designers and marketing analysts. It looks good in trailers but the game itself is an uninspired, unfinished and baffling ill-designed mess. Avoid at all costs!

    This game is a case study in failure. The biggest failure is that it has taken away the core gameplay elements that made the Battlefield experience creating an decidedly unfun experience at every level possible. In the past players stuck with BF despite the technical problems that plagued the games and some balance issues because the core gameplay loop and design were always solid. That isThis game is a case study in failure. The biggest failure is that it has taken away the core gameplay elements that made the Battlefield experience creating an decidedly unfun experience at every level possible. In the past players stuck with BF despite the technical problems that plagued the games and some balance issues because the core gameplay loop and design were always solid. That is not the case in 2042. DICE has been trying to distil what creates the ''Battlefield moments'' and in their mind it was the chaos of those moments when teams make a push for an objective. Instead they've tried to artificially create a constant chaos through injecting 128 players, twice the vehicles and open map designs. To that they tried to shoehorn in Hero shooter mechanics which can only work on small scale games (6vs6 etc) discarding the core class system which was also integral in controlling game balance. The resulting experience is just flat and unfun. On top of that, the game has unbelievably low level of core content like weapons and maps (far lower than any previous game). Even if the season plans went ahead on time, 1 map added per season would bring the main game's Map count to 11 after a whole year. This would be half or less of any previous title. It also suffers from having a lack of any immersive atmosphere and a total disconnect between artwork&backround compared to gameplay and tone deaf add-ons. On the technical aspects, the game is a big downgrade from all previous entries in the quality of visuals and animations. More importantly there is not a single mechanic/area in the game that is not suffering from bugs and the physics engine is dodgy at best. Tanks move like sand buggies almost unable to pivot on the spot and either jumping in the air every time they touch an obstacle (instead of climbing over it like a 60t tracked vehicle) or stick to small objects like super-glue and planes physics feel utterly wrong. Destruction which the franchise has as it's signature feature is heavily toned down and extremely inconsistent and un-impactful. The lack or poor quality of things like scoreboard or UI point to severe cuts in development to make the release date, even though they're being justified as 'design decisions' when they make zero sense. Even core technical things like Controller &mouse input or aim assist don't work well and feel off. Sound quality is very poor as well completely opposite to the almost benchmark quality of previous titles. Pouring salt to the wounds, we have an experienced AAA developer than needs to create a scoreboard in 3 phases with customer input. As if we're talking about a complex new industry leading innovation that they're attempting for the first time ever. This is just another confirmation of the poor state of the Development studio. To conclude, this game is a failed swansong project of a Studio on its way out that no longer has the ability to create the type of games they used to that connected with their customer base. Don't waste your money on it. Support for it will end after a year when they run out of the contractual obligation they have for the 1yr support from the pre-orders. Content and support through that year will remain the bare minimum and will be pulled as soon as its done as the customer numbers cannot sustain the 'live service model' set.… Expand

    Got stuck died on the ground couldn't respawn.

    Can’t play with K&M. I got it for free and still feel like I was scammed. Doesn’t feel like a battlefield game. Smells like a COD game from a mile away

However, the games sheer amount of bugs, lack of content and directions ruin it all. Less content than BFV, BF1, BF4, BF3 etc. Can’t even count portal since they’ve drastically reduced the overall integration it has with the main game.     Beware! I never write game reviews but this is even worst than cod vanguard which is also a terrible game in many ways. Save your money. You won't play that more than 2 hours. Waste of disk space

    don't buy this game or any further games from EA. poor graphics poor gameplay poor maps. hovercraft everywhere climbing buildings. guns not hitting targets when clearly you are on screen. gun bloom luck more than skill. bugs a plenty. more EA rubbish push it and collect the money try and fix it later

And you got to realize that you pay a LOT of MONEY for a really small game full of problems with errors with lack of things that are in EVERY FPS GAME really weak balanced during the matches sometimes you fight against a lot of vehicles while you side have ZERO vehicles for more than 10 minutes, Bad destruction, few and bad weapons the list goes on and worst. IfThis game is REALLY bad.     Ich spiele lieber wieder BF4. Ich weiß garnicht wo ich anfangen soll... das geht bei der lächerlichen Waffenauswahl los und endet bei diversen Bugs die einem furchtbar auf die Nerven gehen. Die Grafik gefällt mir sehr gut aber das reicht einfach nicht. Wer BF4 noch immer feiert sollte die Finger von diesem halbfertigen Spiel lassen.

    The only decent thing about this game is Portal mode, I can’t find Hazard Zone matches, bad mechanics, the main game modes lack players, specialists personalization resets every time I start the game, even though I have been a Battlefield fan and played almost every game in the franchise, I wish I didn’t Pre-order the ultimate edition of this game.

They are crazy fast, more health than some armored vehicles si can climb up walls... oh,Zero value for the money the hype. Full of glitches and terribly unbalanced. The main issue is how unbalanced everything is... the hovercrafts are basically impossible to beat. They are crazy fast, more health than some armored vehicles si can climb up walls... oh, and have a turret which kills you with minimal effort. The helicopters and planes don't seem to need resupply so they can just spam you with rockets and can trick the guided rockets. But that's ok, because you only have 3 of those rockets and you will need at least two hits to take down one heli. Now you only have 10 left. Not to mention that the PP-29 is the dream. All you need to do is hit the target and they die. The TTK for this weapon is only rivaled by a shotgun. And you get it at level 18 with almost all the attachments you will ever need on it. Munition is almost impossible to find and it is easier to just die and respawn. Anyways it doesn't matter because there is no scoreboard so nobody will see how many times you've died at the end of the game. Only issue with dying is that you'll eventually have to run a marathon to get from on objective to another. The operators don't really feel special at all and their abilities have almost no effect on how the game goes. But I won't go into details here. You cannot chose a map or server and after 3-4 days of playing I've played some maps on repeat and the ones that I actually enjoy barely a few times.… Expand

    I am very disapointed with this is BF2042 on PS5. It lacks a lot of basics, for exemple no 120fps or Keyboard/Mouse compatibility, what a shame, Call of Duty Licence and Fortnite both offer 120fps and Keyboard/Mouse compatibility on PS5. Wake UP guys. Thé game seems really screwed UP it's painful to see and it pains me to have bought it....

    Missing key futures and a lot of missing content at release. They released it a month later and still got it not in a release-state. I can‘t believe that there is no way to switch squads, 4 person squad limitation, no kill/death overview and so on. What were they thinking?     I’ve enjoyed every Battlefield I’ve played up to this point, but this doesn’t even come close to those games in any way. It’s so obvious that everyone that made those games great have left the studio, and the result is a deeply mediocre game that barely feels like Battlefield at all. Yes, it has a lot of players, big maps and vehicles, but where’s the rest of it? Where’s the amazingly effortless and rewarding squad and team play of previous entries? Where’s the authenticity and immersion? This series is supposed to be about being a regular soldier, but now we’re playing as these ridiculous hero characters constantly spouting stupid one-liners and wing-suiting around. Battlefield was never exactly realistic, but it always tried to be authentic. BFV might have had some lame cosmetics, but everything else has such a raw intensity to it. This feels completely airless with barely any war feel to it at all. There aren’t even identifiable factions, because selling cosmetics is the only thing that matters now, apparently.

    It’s not even engaging in its own merits as the gunplay is incredibly inaccurate, unskillful and unbalanced. Maps play terribly and don’t even look good most of the time. The player count combined with the wide open, badly designed maps and weird abilities makes the game either chaotic to the point of incoherence or just boring as you trek through vast, empty landscapes. There’s some amount of fun to be had in the chaos, but chaos does not make a good game on its own. The whole thing just seems really sloppily designed, regardless of any series standards. On its own it would be below average. As a Battlefield game it’s laughable.

    Portal is ok, but it can’t save this game alone. Smaller, **** versions of games I love and custom modes won’t make me accept this absolute travesty of a sequel. It mostly serves to show how far the series has fallen.

    I could go on and on about this game’s shortcomings and many have. My main takeaway is that while many previous Battlefield games may have been buggy or lacking in content at launch, this the first one where I don’t see any potential in it. Everything about this game, from its smallest aspects to its grandest ideas are mediocre at best, and no amount of patching is gonna fix that.    … Expand

    A confused mess, that completely lacks direction and identity. There's litteraly nothing to like about this game. A downgrade from previous entries in the franchise in every aspect. Bugs galore, and now, nearly three months after release, aim assist is still totally broken. It's more of a hinderance than help.

The HUD is crowded, the objectives for every point is seen on your screen the name of teammates and their healthbars crowd the screen as well. Good luck seeing the enemy through how much is on your screen. It'll kick you to the home screen andThis game is so bad that I made an account to say how bad it is.     Save your money this is one of the worst games to ever be released. Portal is okay and Hazard Zone won't last another month. Performance is atrocious on Ps5 have Uninstalled multiple to times and still receive constant CE-1088 error/game crash (the game leaks memory like crazy because the game isn't coded properly) in conclusion this game is a dumpster fore.... hot garbage.

Constantly kicked from servers. Most of the guns in the game are glitched out and don’t shoot straight. Frame rate and stuttering is horrible and it makes me feel sick when I try to play. They won’t be able to fix the game for another 6-12 months and it should be removed from the PlayStation store until then. I recommend everyone to wait for this game to be fixed and buy on sale. I have requested a refund and recommend anyone that has paid for this to get a refund and wait 6-12 months. EA Needs to learn to stop releasing half a game and charging full price.… Expand

It looks like an unfinished game and made on a hurry to look like fortnite or COD warzone. The game does not have the bf feeling and was made with the intention of making money on the core design.

    We hardcore fans of the franchise have to accept that EA killed BF and BF its not coming back

    List of Current Grievances

    Let me start by saying that I so desperately wanted to love this game. I have been playing Battlefield since 2142 and it is by far my favorite franchise. Below is a list (in no particular order) of broken promises and removed or stepped on features that, if any one of which on their own was missing, broken, or intentionally removed, I could live with. When taken in as a whole, however, it just... I don't know... this doesn't feel like Battlefield.
    **GENERAL**

    * Plus system is clunky dog ****
    * UI is clunky dog **** wrapped in cat **** Might be the least intuitive I've ever seen
    * No Campaign
    * Lack of game modes
    * No hardcore
    * No military ranks associated with numerical ranks
    * Audio is poorly mixed
    * The maps, while stunning from both a scale and visuals perspective, lack any real flow for infantry combat.
    * Non-removable profanity filter
    * Lack of promised destruction/levelution
    * Faction locked weapons and gadgets in Portal
    * No rule editor support for objective based game modes
    * No server browser outside of Portal
    * No private/rented servers
    * Doesn't just roll into the next map after a game in AoW, back to matchmaking peasant
    * Cannot join friends already in a match (pretty sure I could do this in beta??)
    * Cutscenes all over the place
    * Cringe 'look at me' after a match
    * Cannot customize loadouts before joining a game.
    * Cannot select loadout or operator before joining a server which, in certain situations, spawn you directly into the game with whatever you had last game. This happens when joining a fresh breakthrough game, mostly.
    * BFV and Battlefront 2 were gutted to make this **** lol
    * No mouse and keyboard support for console
    * Options and description for kill sounds changed from beta. During beta it showed you would be able to choose between BF2042 and BF1 kill sounds. This same option now only lets you choose between BF2042 sounds or no sounds.
    * No Practice/Test Range
    **IN GAME**

    * Zoom issues with sniper scopes
    * No zeroing sniper scopes, starting scope (not sure about the others) has no hash marks on reticle for references
    * Biggest maps we've ever seen, highest scope magnification is 10x
    * No holding shift/stick click to steady a sniper shot
    * No leaning
    * 22 guns total lol
    * No ‘All’ chat
    * Enemies look the same as friendlies
    * Bullet spread / weapon inaccuracy outside of rock throwing range
    * Have to opt out of revive every death, no idea who can actually revive me anyway
    * Have to re-select spawn location every spawn
    * No resizable minimap
    * Cannot move while prone and ADS
    * Damage dealt numbers, e.g. "VEHICLE HIT 28" after hitting a tank with a rocket, have been removed. This applies to both infantry and vehicles.
    * Weapons can't have different sets of attachments in different loadout presets. Meaning if you want to have a suppressor on the **one** semi-auto pistol in the game for one preset, you can't have it *without* a suppressor in your other presets.
    * No fixed heavy weapons * AA rocket damage appears inconsistent * BF5 movement mechanics removed * Obnoxious voice overs, operators are incredibly vocal, every time you do an action they say a line. * Melee takedown animations have been gutted. All enemies are brought to a standing position before one specific kill is performed. * Cannot dive underwater * UI elements do not have transparency element and distant 2D/3D map markers and UI elements do not fade out by distance and cannot be scaled up or down * Good luck finding your marker on the map **TEAMPLAY/SCORING** * No VoIP * No real scoreboard * No stats page * No commander * Cannot join, create, or lock a squad * Cannot switch teams * Repairing vehicles does not give XP * No squad points for issuing orders or following them * No marksman headshot bonus for long range snipes * 'Assist Counts as Kill' has been removed * No vehicle kill assists * Spotting system is contextual and misses a lot of the time.     This game feels way less like the next instalment of the battlefield 1/2/3/4 franchise and more like the next call of duty modern warfare.

    I assume they’ve made it more Arcady like COD to attract the younger fortnight generation.

Game look worse then BF5, full of glitches, extremely bad audi, terrible gunplay. BF is just trying to be a COD copycat with the operators and the cringe character celebration after a game.     One good thing from battlefield, is the portal mode the other team that worked on that did a smashing job but again I wish it had more!! To summarise, it could of been an amazing game, the best one in the franchise but the lack luster care or passion for the game is gone and rather you pay now and get content in drips and drabs....since when should most of the games content come as DLC?
    If you was on the fence about this game then wait till its cheaper and more content has been updated to the game.

It's criminal to release a video game in such a poor state and charge people upwards of £70 for it, how these huge companies are getting away with this baffles me.     Battlefield was my favourite game but sadly this will be my last and I think this will be the same story for many fans. I will be getting a refund.

    If you are looking for an immersive, tactical fps I highly recommend Hell Let Loose. Support companies like T17/Black Matter who still make games with passion.     I play this series for over 10 years, and it's really hard for me to figure out what's good about this game, maybe Portal is a little nice? But it's still disappointing

    The PC reviews say it all. And it runs better on PC! I was so excited to play this on my series x but they ruined it. They removed everything good about battlefield and added 500 players, so disappointing

    The first game I’ve ever attempted to return but PlayStation wouldn’t let me return it. So many bugs make this not fun at all. Here’s what else brothers me to no end:
    - minimal destruction
    - no scoreboard?!
    - menus are so confusing - slow progression
    - weird gun bloom? - NO GAME CHAT

    No scoreboard, no servers, only 22 weapons, lackluster destruction and levolution, camos look awful and bland, no in-game stats, only 2 game modes. This battlefield isn’t a real battlefield game. 128 players is nonsense; just added unnecessary chaos, you don’t even end up getting more kills. 64 players should be the max. 7 maps in total and they have awful flow.

    It tries to be a mix of Warzone, Fortnite, R6 Siege, Apex and so on.

    I am a battlefield hardcore to the roots veteran and this **** of a game really made me so disappointed in so many ways. i don't even know where to start. the gunplay is **** and unbalanced, assault weapons have no tactical advantage long distance over smg's, they created the PP gun which is basically GOD MODE GUN for all the noobs and silly kids to play with which basically has 54 bulletsI am a battlefield hardcore to the roots veteran and this **** of a game really made me so disappointed in so many ways. i don't even know where to start. the gunplay is **** and unbalanced, assault weapons have no tactical advantage long distance over smg's, they created the PP gun which is basically GOD MODE GUN for all the noobs and silly kids to play with which basically has 54 bullets and no recoil whatsoever and it's instant headshot. there are many more unbalancing things they introduced like a plethora of vehicles that are undestructable by tanks even, hoovercrafts that escalade the skyscrapers like there is some weird gravitational force pulling them to the walls. the specialist system is a **** that makes everybody run around with 2-3 specialist, the flying chick with unlimited handgrenades that can easily take out choppers and tanks with her guided like missile grenades that follow you across map, imagine being a very good heli pilot and there's no way to survive 20-30 players with hand grenades and also long loooooooong range Stingers that follow you everywhere even if you use flares. not to mention the other 3-4 enemy choppers too. the tanks that were so powerful in previous BF games, now are like biscuits. every stupid kid with no knowledge of the game can instantly destroy tanks. there is no skill gap, i lose almost 80-90 percent of 1 on 1 gun fights and even if i do shoot someone first, that person returns fire with incredible aim and precision and instantly kills me. it's a **** game with veryyyyyyy poooor performance issues like 30-40-50 fps a game and input lag that if i move the mouse, there is slight delay, also for keyboard, the delay is so annoying that i can't literally move or shoot anyone. there is no chance for you to win against multiple adversaries, like kill one, move to cover, kill another one. there will always be randoms spawns from all angles and one flag cannot be conquered by just one squad of brave men like previous games because every flag will suddenly be defended by at least 15-20 enemies so even if you run across map which is freakin huuuuuuuuge and it takes 2-3 minutes of your life to do so without the help of a vehicle, and you feel good about yourself trying to flank and outsmart the enemies, you will be killed by 20 players spawning to defend that flag. which will leave you with intense frustration and anger and confusion to why are you still playing the game because there is no tactical coordination for a team of 64 randoms. there are no voice to adress your squad, no scoreboard, no point to spawn on the map, the minimap is a **** with no visibility or posibility to zoom in. they completely destroyed the movement of the game and the aim is **** you cant track a player with scope and hope for a nice headshot because the speed of the players is incredible and they suddenly disappear from your scope when they running. it's like every meter they do, has a gap between and one split of a second that player is not there. so good luck aiming down sight and trying to be skillful. one of the worst thing is the performance which is a ****show even for higher end PC's. the maps are ok, waaaaaaay too big but they have their good parts also. they don't give you cars when you spawn so you can get to points easily, instead you have to run hundred of virtual meters to flags. you get killed by choppers, tanks, hoovers, squirels, snakes, chickens, rocks and basically every living creature shoots at you from all angles and directions and you can't get cover or a break anywhere unless you hide in a bush. the destruction of environment is **** there is no building colapsing as they advertised falsly in some released trailers and videos. some buildings won't break if you take your tank through them, like BF V gloriously achieved. they took out the ability to lie and move on your back to discourage camping but instead they let everyone call in vehicles on top of skyscrappers to defend the points there which are ultimately impossible to conquer. on all the breakthrough games i've played , those points were impossible to conquer, it's a defender's paradise. the game crashes many many times and many more bugs and unresolved issues like this game supposed to be delivered in 2042 not in 2021. they should have taken 2 years more to polish and finish this crap that even cost 110 euros. how can you pay that ammount for an unfinished garbage that will take months and 10 patches to solve all the issues? it's a disaster and i totally not recommend buying! go play COD!… Expand

    Seems like everything has taken a step backwards. Poor graphics. Boring interaction with the game, spend most of your time just running to find some action. Just not a good game. And to charge £65 odd for this, just shameful.

    Went back to Battlefield 1 to compare. Makes 2024 look like a game from the 90s. Infinitely better. Save your money and go and get a second hand copy of BF1.

Not only because of bugs but mostly the gameplay itself. It lacks direction and does not feel like a battlefield game at all. Sound design is the worst of any battlefield, same goes for gunplay. Features that have been in battlefield games for years are not in this one. Maps look like small cod maps scattered across a bigger map and feel empty and without vision.     This game is horrible. I haven't played a BF games since BF2 and I came to the future for this.

    Dice if you are reading this, I feel like you are Henry Winkler sitting on the football with your hands out blowing. Hell you could of had some John Madden quips in there and I would of laugh right along with you to the bank. You should of named this Battlefield of Star Citizen, because    This game is horrible. I haven't played a BF games since BF2 and I came to the future for this.

    I want a divorce: I’ve tried to defend this game but holy s**t, this game is terrible. The latest update has gotten my game so messed up, compared to last time I played. And also this shotgun challenge is a joke, not even worth it. This franchise has officially died, I’m just so dumb to not be able to see it soon. Farewell battlefield.

    I’ve always been a sucker for shooters. Played a bunch of Battlefields, COD’s, MOH’s and such. Enjoyed plenty of them. Despite the game looking amazing I just get very little joy out of this one. The game feels very bare without a campaign, few maps, few weapons. I loved the idea of portal, though it feels limited as well.     How this got a 67 on metascore is absolutely mind bending! This is the worst battlefield game I have ever played. It feels like it was created for mobile. Lack of guns, lack of customisation, lack of soul. The maps are super open and aimed at vehicles. They are so empty and clean and weird. The game is just so bad. Do not get it.

    I was actually excited for this game. I had never played a Battlefield game in my life, but hot damn that trailer looked good. Turns out that's where all the money went. Out of my excitement, I bought Battlefield 1, sadly it wasn't active at the time. but the gameplay was great, graphics were flawless, and (i assume) the class system was incredible.     The bugs in 2042 were horrendous. Players couldn't go 3 feet without some **** happening on the screen that wasn't supposed to. Flying enemies, flying cars, sinking enemies, sinking cars, flickering lights, gun firing nerf darts, bad frame rates, not even being able to play the game, etc. That's not even scratching the surface. No, I wasn't even NEAR the surface. So much was wrong with the game, it baffles me that critics actually liked it at the time.

    I was expecting the class system to return like in EVERY BATTLEFIELD GAME EVER, but nah, specialists. Frickin' specialists. I didn't play BF1 long enough to experience it, but the class system is very important to Battlefield. Playing as an unnamed solider in all out warfare is an incredible experience. So, when the devs of their own game can't understand that specialists don't belong in a Battlefield game, yeah, it's time to quit your job. Because of specialists, everyone on each team looks exactly the same, like they couldn't be bothered to just make a few changes to character design. Abilities are good, and I would love them, if this wasn't a Battlefield game. Voice lines suck, and so on.

    Now, there's a lot more to talk about, but 2042 really, REALLY, doesn't deserve this much of a what would be a polished review. 2042 disappointed a lot of players that year, and despite these problems being somewhat fixed, specialists still suck, destruction sucks, and 2042 just... sucks. I ended up just getting Call of Duty: Vanguard that year, and, well, I wasn't pleased any better.    … Expand

    Instead I'll talk about what the game is now. I will say that much has improved and there is fun to be had but even after a break of several months it's only taken a couple of matches before the glaring problems drag me down. In one match I tried Lis as I wanted to see if her launcher was improved at all but immediately ran into a problem where whenever I fire her launcher the camera glitches and sticks to the ground pointing at my feet! After a brief search I find this problem has been going on for around 5 months. This is simply unacceptable to have a specialist's signature tool rendered unusable for that long. I also found this issue on another specialist that has the minigun turret as well as spawning into helicopters so it's a pretty major issue.

    The other disappointments are still present too - the weapons from earlier games have arrived but we were promised full customisation options but this hasn't fully materialised yet and many of these weapons from older games are just terrible as a result. One of the core game modes for the PS5 version had also been removed since launch - I got the game based on it having both of those 128 player modes so to have a feature removed that I paid to access feels like a real kick in the teeth.

    The fact this game launched with so many issues and still has so many game breaking bugs is an absolute scam. More protection for gamers and their money needs to be put in place around this kind of thing - if you bought any appliance and it didn't work as advertised you'd be able to get a refund within a pretty large window of time but 2 hours is ridiculous.

    Edit: I just wanted to add that although the specialists were incredibly cheesy and a poor attempt to appeal to the hero shooter fans it was still a kick in the teeth to have the flexibility they afforded removed. A large group of very vocal people voiced their dismay at the lack of the class system present in previous titles claiming that it was necessary for team play as people played the roles of the medic/engineer etc. Well now it's changed and guess what - bots are still more reliable and reviving you compared to human players so it wasn't about that at all. If somebody doesn't play the objective and just focuses on shooting then re-instating the class system will do nothing to change their playstyle as people do what they enjoy doing and that's fine. I used to like playing as Angel with a rocket launcher so I could provide a range of options from reviving, ammo packs, loadout drops and explosive damage so having that flexibility taken away for a to solve a problem it was never going to solve kinda sucked. As a result it now feels like a game with an identity crisis as it doesn't have a clue what it wants to be since everything is a fix on top of big change on top of yet another fix - it's like Jenga in a hurricane.

    I've been checking in on the game every month or two when there's been a few updates but I find myself feeling less and less likely to even bother. They created a game with way too many problems and still haven't been able to fix them all.    … Expand

    This really has a very very good battlefield game in it, but you simply can not release a game in this state. It is almost unplayable which is sad because its clear its a very good game. My score is a protest against the developers for releasing the game thats is hardly even a functional game at all but im sure it will be great in the future. As of now you should avoid it like the plague.

    Just not very fun. It seems like DICE wanted to attract the COD crowd, at the expense of making a less-Battlefieldy game. But in doing this they made noone happy. Not casual enough for the COD fans, not enough Battlefield for the Battlefield fans.

    While the repetition and lack of content cooled my enthusiasm a bit, I am excited to see where DICE can take Battlefield 2042 from here — if current industry trends hold, I’m confident this will be a strong addition to my already-full shooter rotation after a few months of additions and updates.
