This game starts out as a nice fps with extra elements, quite challenging and fun. Unfortunately towards the end a series of extremely lame and unfun boss battles completely ruins the game.

One of the signs of a great game is when you want to play something else by the same developer right after you finish it. Wolfenstein: TNO makes me want to go back and play other titles by the folks currently known as MachineGames (I’m about to start their 360 Riddick game). It’s not perfect but I haven’t had this much fun with a FPS since Halo 1 on Xbox.

    Pros:

Fun, challenging gameplay with different ways to achieve objectives
Best FPS campaign mode I’ve seen in a long time
Interesting plot and characters with great voice-acting
    Lots of replay value
    Awesome soundtrack
    Cons:

It’s a shame there’s no multi-player because the game’s mechanics are so good
A few glitchy checkpoints that advance you when they shouldn’t

This is one of the most frustrating shooters I have played, largely because of the stupid weapon wheel system, the variation in what takes an identical enemy down from one scene to the next, the tiresome and boring - but inevitable - boss fights, and the weapons that mostly felt underpowered for a time when robots and moon settlement are apparently the norm.

I never play games for the "story", I play them because they are games, but I must say this one is probably the lamest story I have encountered for quite a while.
On the plus side, it lasts for a good long while, especially if you are after the collectables and various trophies, though the graphics are no better than many I have seen on the PS3.

I have read a lot of reviews that this is a classic shooter on a next gen system but it works. They are not wrong. You find yourself just settling in quite nicely with the sex, guns and Nazi killing, as the controls are fairly standard which in my opinion is a good thing.

Those alone make this game an easy 7, but what pushes this game to solid 8 is the fantastic story and characters. While playing this game I wanted Blazkowicz stab all those Nazi !@#$ers, I wanted him to take Anya to pound town and I wanted him to finish his noble quest. It is a testament to any game that has a story that compels you forward. So a solid 8.

So, it achieves will it that- being a Wolfenstein game with a twist in plot, characters, and setting (distopian 1960s). I don't understand why so any say that it's too unbelievable. If the nazis had won, this scenario isn't too difficult to imagine with their push toward unethical science and ethnic domination. Of course, the hero is a Rambo - that's the fantasy. Also, despite what others have said, I thought the ending was spot on in fulfilling the themes and narrative arc while leaving open a sequel possibility. Very to the point. (But I'll describe no spoilers here.) They did a good job with the game. It's a way more interesting campaign than most others of the same genre. It doesn't really look next gen. And there is only so far that one can take a linear fps. I will be looking forward to a fallout 4 many times more than I anticipated this game... It's a solid Expand

While on your mission to hunt down a satanic General "Deathshead", you get a piece of shrapnel lodged into the back of your head, thus putting you in a vegetative state for 14 years. Once you've recovered, you realize the nazis have won WW2, and with the help of some resistance fighters, you must put an end to the nazi reign. I thought the story was good albeit with a few cliches that sort of revealed what the 3rd act was gonna be like. To know what I'm talking about, think about Dishonored or The Dark Brotherhood questline in Skyrim. I also liked the concept of nazis winning WW2 and seeing all their mysterious contraptions being created like mechanical hounds or panzer solders. It does add a nice touch of flavor to enemy variety. I also liked a lot of the side characters. A few of them have nice personalities and good backstories along with being well voiced. My biggest problem with the characters is with our hero and his love interest. Blazkowicz has such an uninteresting personality that I got bored of him 1 hour into my playthrough. He rarely talks during the game only during a few cutscenes or when he's having a flashback and he has to say out loud what he's thinking about, he has no distinguishable traits outside of loving to kill nazis, and in some of the more engaging moments of the story, he just stands there saying nothing and making the scene a little more awkward. I also didn't like his love interest Anya. I just couldn't buy their love since they don't really do anything outside of having sex and discussing mission plans to advance the plot. They didn't get any scenes together to develop their characters which in turn, made the finally much less engaging to me then if Machine Games had improved their characters. Overall, the story's fine and outside of our unbelievable couple, the characters and villains are strong. 7/10

    Gameplay:
Wolfenstein does a few new things to make the gameplay unique. The biggest difference from other shooters is that you can dual-wield any weapons you find in the game as long as they're the same gun. They also added a perk system where instead of earning skill points to unlock these, you complete certain challenges that fall under Stealth, Assault, Tactical, and Demolition. If you wanted to, you can actually "boost" to get the unlocks by simple restarting from a checkpoint with all your perk statuses unchanged. You can also use stealth to your advantage which makes the game easy when you have the right perks, dual-wielding suppressed pistols, and/or throwing knives. To make things more easier when you do stealth, the guards rarely seem to notice when their buddy got shot and their body is on the floor. The level design is solid, there are some nice collectables to find, in the beginning, you have to make a choice which will alter the story and gameplay a bit, and like I said earlier, there are a nice variety of enemies to fight, but this is also one of the game's problems to me. Towards to end of the game, Machine Games does what I HATE in these kinds of games, and that's shoving every single special enemy down my throat. There are sections where you'll be fighting some standard enemy soldiers which is fine, but then you also have to fight 10+ rocket launcher enemies (also come with heavy armor), 5+ heavily armored minigun enemies, and 2 panzer soldiers which are the hardest enemies to kill. I really can't stand when games just throw everything they got at you towards the end of the game just to be "challenging" when in reality, they're just compensating for their dumb A.I., and the A.I. here is pretty generic. They don't do anything unique or smart and end up reminding me of the kind of enemies that appear in Call Of Duty games. Some final things I'll say are that the health system here is cool by allowing you to go beyond your max health by "overcharging it" although it'll fall back to your maximum amount, It's annoying having to manually pick up all items off the ground instead of walking over them, and the weapon wheel on consoles SUCKS since even if you move the analogue stick just a little bit, the arrow goes 90 degrees into the weapon you DIDN"T want. Just get the PC version for the hotkeys. 7/10

    Graphics:
The game looks mediocre on PS4 seeing as how outside of resolution and FPS, everything from textures to facial models looks last gen. 5/10

    Sound:
The games soundtrack and sound effects all sound great in this game with the soundtrack adding some nice tension during the gameplay. 8/10

    Verdict:
The game's good, but it suffers from having a generic protagonist and a generic love interest, some problems with the gameplay, and the last gen visuals. In my opinion, I'll say wait for a price drop before purchasing. For the best experience possible, get this on PC not just because of better graphics, but for the hotkeys. Seriously, the weapon wheel to me is that bad.

I think everyone should think that when you can control a robot, you should make sure she's dead, instead of throwing her away and making her survive. The shooting mechanics as a whole (the feel of the guns, the leaning/cover system, the weapons) are pretty tight. There is only a limited number of actual weapons, but the ammo varieties and dual-wield spice it up enough to keep the gunplay fresh.

The story is probably the most surprising part of the game. In an era where most games are pushing multiplayer, Wolfenstein double-downed on the single-player delivering an engaging story with a host of characters. Granted, not all characters are memorable, but the story is delivered in a way that is compelling enough to warrant a replay.

Graphically, the game is good. It is not going to blow you away, but the visuals do a fine job. From a difficulty standpoint, Wolfenstein is not very difficult for experienced shooter players. On uber difficulty there are a couple challenging battles towards the end of the game, but overall nothing that is frustrating.

Overall, Wolfenstein: The New Order is going to provide a fun experience with a good story. One major drawback for some is probably going to be the lack of additional game modes for a full price game. If you are worried about that, wait for a price drop or sale. Otherwise, I believe it is worth a play.

It had a very old school feel, which I do like, but the controls were just not well thought out. The cover system felt very awkward and the weapon wheel really takes you out of the action. Even after several hours of play I couldn't stand the controls and ditched using the peek mechanic altogether. Also, having to press a button every time you want to pick up ammo, health, armor or any collectible is incredibly frustrating. You're looking at the ground for most of the game trying to pick things up. During a firefight when you need that crucial medkit or extra ammo you will find this insanely tedious. Come on Bethesda, did you even play this game before release?

The story is meh. Pretty inconsequential. It's just an excuse to kill nazis, which is cool, I guess. But don't we want games that do more than just give you an excuse to kill everything in incredibly violent ways? (Looking at bioshock)

My vote: save your $60 for something better. This is a rental at best.

Games like The Last of Us set standards for voice acting that never existed before, and only a few games on current gen have really lived up to that standard. But, Wolfenstein is one of those games. An emotional story that encompasses every feeling known to man! A little bit of romance, but not an overpowering amount, is just enough to give life and sincerity to the hulking veteran.

Not only is Blazkowicz a stronger conceptual character, but also a better-looking character than ever before. This game has some of the strongest graphics currently out there. It is so realistic looking that if I play for more than half an hour while even slightly hungry, I get super motion sick. The opening sequence actually induced vomiting.

It also induced a little boredom to be frank; it was the worlds longest tutorial. Honestly, a lot of the sequences felt flat and boring! In between the strong cut scenes and fun puzzles, there are a lot of pew pew bang bang fights that become repetitive not even an hour in. The only saving grace is that the shooting is impeccable. The guns are fun to mess around with; the perk system is unique and interesting. All in all the hours of mindless combat can be useful to make Blazkowicz into an unstoppable tank and complete the perk challenges, therefore unlocking trophies/achievements!

At the end of the day Wolfenstein is fun and exciting. Any game that pushes the limits of current gen consoles, and succeeds as well as The New Order has, deserves a little recognition. Killing Nazi’s, saving the world, and getting the girl; all a days work in the life of B.J. Blazkowicz. ShaunaOH gives Wolfenstein: The New Order an 82/100!!

Yes, it is true that they have mutated the franchise to something else. Yes, it feels a bit weird to get to know BJ closely. You end up caring about him... and several other NPCs. The game has great atmosphere and definitely succeeds in drawing the post IIWW era under complete (and global) Nazi dictatorship.

I am deeply impressed with the right balance of shooting/action and moments of silent/moody distractions. The game has lots of content to read/get distracted during those 'in-between' moments. The graphics are well satisfying, voice over is top-notch, it is not a short game and offers 2 different scenarios through a critical decision you have to make early in the game.
Ah.. and the stealth mechanics works well. Surprisingly for a Wolfenstein title, you have the option of stealthy approach against most situations. Stealth is designed and presented successfully and frankly speaking i found my self playing stealthy whenever possible. It made total sense to me for two reasons: first of all you are in a world taken completely by Nazis. It is war no more, world belongs to Nazis now. Logically there is no end to run&gun approach. You just have to be cautious, sneaky and smart in this Nazi infested world for the sake of seeing another day. Secondly i'm playing the game on PS4 and no matter how well optimised the controls are, it is never like a mouse & keyboard combination. Open approach remarkably increases the number of Nazis you have to deal with and some missions were too difficult for me to handle properly without using stealth.

Overall i definitely recommend this game. It has been the best game so far on PS4 for me.

This game is sub par, I love the Wolfenstein series but this offering doesn't feel part of it. Story is poor graphics are decidedly last gen and I felt happy to have completed it as I wouldn't have to play it again.

It never felt so good to kill nazi`s, and the reason this game is so much fun to play is hard to explain because it does not do anything new. But the old school action and Humoristic story and characters combined with the smooth moving and shooting makes this a game every (older) fps gamer should like.

This is a cool fps and I expected nothing less from the ex Starbreeze men. Chunky and satisfying weapons and a big bold visual style that's in keeping with other Wolfensteins,
In 1080p and at 60fps it is super smooth and responsive but not beautiful. You will see none of the beauty, detail and draw distance that we've just seen in the latest Infamous game or very many lighting or particle

I suspect it will on the Wii U as well, very basic detail compared to Infamous and Watch Dogs) this game is blackly funny and good fun. Although Doom4 will need to be far more detailed and soaked in next gen effects, I guess these graphics suit Wolfenstein ok. But please id and Machine games? These graphics won't cut it for a new Doom game!
Anyway this game is big fun and I recommend it.

The graphics aren't PS4 quality for starters, and the AI is actually as bad as they say. Inconsistent would be the word I'd use to describe the AI. Sometimes you can almost sneak right under their nose, other times you'll be trying to move

Sometimes you can almost sneak right under their nose, other times you'll be trying to move stealthily and they'll spot you from a ridiculous distance/angle. The worst example of the AI is around the middle chapters of the game, the enemies chase you at walking speed with batons, and sidestep like crabs....it's bizarre.

It is kind've fun tho, just lacks polish. The story is great, although the ending is terrible.
Probably deserves a 7.5 if I had that option, but I'd say it's more of a 7 than an 8

The plot is surprisingly engrossing albeit simple. Controls are tight and responsive and pulling the trigger is always satisfying. The stealth elements work well enough but are only ever useful for taking out commanders to stop them calling reinforcements. Nine times out of ten the situation will dissolve into a gunfight anyway. You will spend a lot of time scouring the environment and looting the dead for munitions and supplies which can get tedious, although you will go through rounds faster than you can blink so this becomes an essential ritual.

Regrettably, the sound mixing is absolutely shocking. Imagine you have set your dialogue/music/sound effects levels to the value that you desire... Ok, now when a cutscene is triggered the volume increases by couple of decibels and if there is music in that cutscene then get ready to lose some of your hearing. Whenever music starts playing during a cutscene it is always incredibly loud, so loud in fact that it drowns out the dialogue. It is inadvertently quite comedic when you end up with BJ Blazkowicz muttering dialogue about the horrors of war only to be drowned out by the soundtrack, as if he is some lunatic talking in your ear whilst your are trying to listen to your music on the bus.

This is not just a great FPS, it's a great game overall.

    But there are Cons:

    1. Stealth -> occasionally you'll go through a whole level without triggering an alarm, to only be greeted by a throng of Nazi's who must have been giggling in a back room watching you the whole time.
    2. Button Layout: You will find yourself trying to throw a grenade and opening up your weapon wheel. Try to silent takedown a guard and throw a knife instead. (These will happen)
    3. A.I. will occasionally glitch out (not enough to hurt the game but enough to mention)
    4. If you're playing on I am Death Incarnate or UBER you are going to die a lot. (Butttt you did ask for it)

While it doesn't do anything revolutionary, especially the first hour or so, it does get better and provide some great shooter action.

Upgrading weapons for me was a huge plus, not too mention the copious amounts of secrets, collectables, perks and unlocks. The sound is excellent, on a high end home theatre the characters whispers as he crash lands on re-entry, to,one line death notes was atmospheric. I am a fan of first person shooters, but I am an even bigger fan of good alternate history stories. So when I heard that Wolfenstein: The New Order would be a heavily story driven alternate history game with balls-to-the-wall action, I got excited, but questioned whether or not it would actually pull it off in the end.

Wolfenstein: The New Order did in fact have an over-the-top story.

But that is exactly what it was trying to achieve. It’s not just trying to show you what it would be like if the Nazis won the war; instead it tries make it fun by imagining what it would be like if they had giant robot guard dogs, Star Wars like robots, and exoskeleton suits during the 1940s, 50s, and 60s. And boy does it accomplish what it set out to do. For some reason I thought that Wolfenstein was going to be funny, and instead found out that it is a very serious game, to the point that it was actually really touching during some scenes.

You play as Blazko, an American soldier who gets injured in World War II and ends up in a vegetative state for 14 years. During that time, the Nazis win the war and are now in control of the entire world, more or less. After slowly regaining his consciousness and motor skills, he gets up just in time to save the young nurse who had been taking care of him for the last decade. This is where the real game begins. The rest of the story is about Blazko finding a resistance group and fighting back against the Nazi tyrannical rule and their sci-fi weaponry.

I found myself caring far more for characters than I thought I would. I believe that Machine Games achieved this because of their storytelling techniques. It is not your typical first person shooter where the story is told in two minute cutscenes between each mission. Wolfenstein had cutscenes before, during, and after each mission and there was almost always a familiar voice on the other end of a radio during each mission as well. The story may have been a little crazy at times, but it was so fun that it was worth it.

Wolfenstein: The New Order looked absolutely fantastic on PlayStation 4 most of the time. Character models, views from a distance, and important objects like robots were beautiful on screen. That being said, Machine Games really took the easy way out with just about everything else. Textures for insignificant objects in the game were either 2D or just not up to date with what you would expect on a current generation console. It is easy to look past because, like I said, it only happens on insignificant stuff; but in the end it silly that we still have things like this.

As good as the story is, the gameplay is even better. It starts off as a typical first person shooter to get your feet wet, but slowly introduces you to the different ways to play the game, such as dual wielding heavy machine guns or using stealth abilities. If all you care about is a tightly controlled first person shooter, then you found your game. However, it can be so much more than that if you give it a chance. I loved destroying everything in my path with machine guns for one level, and then trying to go through the entire next level undetected and using only my throwing knives as weapons.

And what makes this even more fun is that you have four sets of challenges to unlock, depending on your style of play. Each set will unlock new perks that will apply to your character, such as increasing your clip capacity or the ability to throw knives. Honestly, I found this to be the most fun aspect of the game because it gave me something else to work on during each level.

But even with all of the great things Wolfenstein does, there are still a few hiccups. Glitches are a part of every game, but I haven’t had a problem with them in years it feels like. I ran into several glitches in Wolfenstein during my 15-hour playthrough. One time I got stuck on a loading screen that just never ended and another time I got stuck on a piece of wood sticking out in the middle of a map and could no longer move.

If you like first person shooters and can handle a little over-the-top storytelling, this is a game for you. When I compare the amount of fun I have had with first person shooters on PlayStation 4, Wolfenstein: The New Order stands far above the rest. Sure, it doesn’t have multiplayer, but that shouldn't hinder your experience. The textures can be an issue if you are a stickler for that kind of thing, and the glitches and checkpoints can be extremely annoying from time to time, but overall The New Order has a fun and engaging storyline with even better gameplay. Even if the lack of multiplayer is the problem for you, this is a game I encourage you not to skip. Wolfenstein: The New Order is a solid first person shooter. Find a way to play it.

The campaign length is good for those who don't try to rush through the game as fast as humanly possible. Lots of collectibles and trophies for those so inclined, and there's replay value in the form of slightly different timelines and various difficulty levels. No Multiplayer, which personally I think is a plus but some may not like it.

People who get worked up about the historical inaccuracy should just take a deep breath and remember that it's a game, not reality, and for the entire history of the Wolfenstein franchise you've always been shooting Nazi's. The fact that they won the war this time around doesn't change how they are portrayed, or what you end up doing to them. If anything, it makes the "take them out" aspect more interesting because you feel a need to undo their victory.

So, if you're a fan of Wolfenstein or old-school shooters in general you should get this game. It's fun and entertaining without glorifying anything Nazi-related. The violence is a bit over the top at times, but that's something Wolfenstein fans have come to expect.

Wolfenstein The New Order (2)

    Wolfenstein The New Order 5
Wolfenstein The New Order 6
Wolfenstein The New Order 11
Wolfenstein The New Order 2
    Grafik:

    37855_2_11

    Fazit:

Wolfenstein is hell-bent on telling the player a story, and it succeeds Characters are compelling, their motivations are relateable, and the pacing of the story has you looking forward to the next chapter. It's just a great game that doesn't seem to stumble.

The action itself is a mixing of old and new traditions, and it works too. Truly, Machine Games didn't hold back on the excess - every weapon seems to be dual wield-able. And they all feel terrific.

I play pretty much every FPS that comes out and my ritual is always the same; finish the single player as fast as possible and move on the multiplayer (which will hopefully last a few months). Wolfenstein is like a good book - totally enjoyable and there's no rush to finish. I'm taking my time running around levels and finding items and enjoying the plot.

For players who enjoy some depth or sophistication t their gameplay experience, I recommend taking a look at Wolfenstein: TNO.

It almost perfect in most ways. It doesn't pretend it's some epic blockbuster by using QTE. It's true to it's roots, and Machinegames did a superb job of delivering this title.
The story and the alternative time line is great fun given the subject is bleak and carnage is over the top, with limbs flying, heads popping, throat stabbing, there is humor still to be found. The atrocities committed by the Nazis are awful but remember folks it's just a game the real life was much worse.

The pacing is amazing and the levels are absolutely how they should be, incredible. It never feels like a corridor shooter, even as you are traversing a corridor :)
The gun play is really satisfying, the dual wielding, the perk system. The length is absolutely stop on , I think. It did not drag on and it was not finished too soon.
The secrets are fun to collect and it does not feel like a chore, as I said the environments are well thought out.

If had to nit pick on anything...here are some silly ones

How great would be to have this game with an MP add on? I simply love the SP but I have to imagine the MP would be a lot of fun.
Why can't I shoot up nazi flags ? Come on Next Gen LOL , I want to tear em up with the MP60.
Carrying a skinny german lady you are slower then carrying a gigantic turret gun .
The multi purpose buttons are too sensitive, the weapon wheal is too sensitive, why not notched wheal?I have died a few times trying to frag only to find myself starring at the weapon wheal.

I beat this on a PS4 and pretty soon I will play this on Steam, as I have played the other WS on PC for the most part. I have to say I am looking forward to playing it again.

The game looked pretty good and the frame rate was absolutely spot on except when I started playing on uber 999 mode it started to chug as the action was just to frantic.

My first playthrough I played on the second highest difficulty and found it a good compromise between challenge and fun and would definitely recommend new plays to play it on a high difficulty.
Gameplay is fun and you can always find a way to overcome every situation if you can figure out how. Such as using dual wielding shotguns and blasting heavy armored enemies at close range when they try and flank you.
I wish it had multiplayer, because I think that could give players much more to do in the game other than playing over and over finding collectibles. That is the only reason why it doesn't get 10/10 from me.

This game is heavily sci-fi and partway through develops an almost Uncharted-like plot but not nearly as ridiculous as Uncharted 1 or 2 and at least as well written, if not better. 2.) The fps element is very nice with different sliding mechanics and a good array of weapons (hooray for weapon wheel) along with upgrades found through miniquests and exploration but almost always on the path towards your goal. The only annoying thing is the occasional "idk where i have to be" and when you are set up against heavy enemies without a realization if it is a "run and use environment" or "miniboss" moment. 3.) The AI is a little off on stealth sometimes but they just as often come running on in from places you forgot about compared to looking over a dead body. Mostly, this just puts them on alert because they can't see you. The downside (and upside) is that only commanders can raise the alarm for additional troops so making a normal trooper suspicious has little consequence. However, stealth is useful but hardly necessary or guaranteed - most of the time, stealth is for removing a few nuisances and commanders before graduating to some classic fps horde/defend/boss fights. And as for the loot system, it quickly becomes manageable (by button spamming) and dual wielding is unwieldy but occasionally necessary. 4.) The graphics behaved fine and only once did I have to restart because in the loading to end a level (and save) my ps4 froze and got caught in an endless loading loop but otherwise I was fine. 5.) The environments are very nice, the perfect mixture of corruption, degredation, futurism, and nazism. Particularly, the first mission did a very nice job of making an interactive tutorial. 6.) (OVERALL) My overall impression, granted I have only played just over half the game i believe (chapter 8 or 9), is that this game is fantastic. It is exactly what it attempts to be: a story-driven, action-packed, player-defined thrillride with moderate replay value and severe doses of Nazi and sci-fi elements. This is a step up from the most recent Wolfenstein games and definitely above the recent fps games that have come out. Basically, this game is just a half-notch under Metro: Last Light in terms of the best fps singleplayer since the Bungie Halo games and may even be as good as the first Bioshock by the time I finish it. (Here is my end rant, mostly just venting about the review which I see in my sidebar now) This game is tried and true fps mixed with a little dishonored and doused in Nazis and sci-fi. It's plain awesome. As for Gamer.nl which says, "why not something new", this is new. This is a reboot of a dying but legendary franchise. What is created here is a perfected game. Not one that is overdone and boring, pulling on ridiculous attempted realism/ conspiracies (recent CoDs and BFs) or that attempts to redefine its core values and makes a repetitive, boring, lack of weapon wheel and complete perversion of perfected game mechanics (Bioshock Infinite). This is a pure, fun, story driven fps that I will replay over the summer. It is a game designed to entertain, to enthrall, to bring back the joy of killing Nazis over and over in style, something sorely missed in an age of games attempting to create a plausible future. So buy this game, sit down, and prepare for a game that combines the two greatest possible features in the most perfect way ever achieved. Nazis + Mechs + Weapon wheel + silencers + takedowns + energy weapons + prison breaks + alternate history + THE GERMANS ARE SPEAKING GERMAN (WHAT?!?) == pure awsome Expand

This game has a lot of positives and a lot of negatives so i just thought i would list them all down.

Cover get's destroyed fun when trying to kill opposition by taking out their cover however it can be annoying when your cover get's destroyed, you win some you loss some i guess. Also stabbing Nazi's in the neck nether gets old :)

Graphics: Not going to lie these Graphics do not look next gen this is a game that was quite obviously designed primarily with Last gen in mind the game look really gritty in places.

Frame Rate: Pretty steady however with the level of Graphics on next gen hardware i would expect a good frame rate.

Story: Great loved the story it was really interesting at times even if sometimes you may just be a bit confused about what your actions are leading to but overall it's great.

Characters: Characters are acted amazingly and as a result you find it much more easier to grow an attachment with them and are written amazingly as well.

AI: Retarded for the most part they are in some parts fine but in others they are just so dumb and below basic expectations.

Download size: 53GB Download, WTF! i cannot see why this is so big BF4 after about 12 patches and 3 DLC is 51GB and that has Multiplayer i cannot see why this game is so big that means that it takes up more than 10% of my hard drive which means when i need to delete a game this is gonna be one of the top candidates.

Due to the lack of games for the PS4 I bought this in hopes for some new entertainment. I love games with detailed graphics and in depth character and weapon customization. This game's graphics are PS3 quality which was the initial let down. The game is linear and somewhat boring as the only thing that keeps me playing it is the story (I want to see how it plays out in the end). The only weapon customization there is was a suppressor for my pistol that I get to screw on and off the muzzle. There are other things but nothing exciting. There is a perk system that allows you to enhance your character but not in the form of spending skill points, but more like kill 30 enemies in stealth and you'll be able to move faster while crouched...ok cool so my character improves as I play. I can't wait to finish the game so I can sell it and hope something better comes out that takes full advantage of what the PS4 is capable of. I feel ripped off for spending $60+tax on this. Very expensive movie. Expand

    I didn’t like it.
Armies were too weak and dumb. They won’t recognize the enemy, even they come near them. Throw a one knife at army and they die. That`s just too unrealistic.
Nazis in space, robots, SF weapons, that is just too unrealistic. This is not a Nazis. Robots, dogs, weapons are not good. I wanted to see battle with more realistic Nazis and real WW2 weapons. I wanted exactly

Wolfenstein: The New Order was kind of like Diamonds Are Forever. I wanted to see Hitler. Shooting games makes me bored. All the levels are shooting. I just like shooting games because I like the characters and places. I like games like Alien: Isolation. No weapons is more thrill and fun.

A fun shooter. Finally a fun FPS single player game . If you are over BF4 and COD and just want a sweet FPS to kill some time with a decent story enough collectibles and hidden areas to keep you interested the whole way through then get this game. Stop reading reviews go and get it.

Old school action mixed with a few modern sensibilities and an above average story. I enjoyed my time with Wolfenstein. There is variety to the game-play so you are never really bored while playing. It is a single player game worth your time and money.

I think the critic/user scores are low. Yes, the format is old school corridor fps, but the pulp style is really cool and the gun handling is nice and juicy....wonderful feel overall. I'd like to give a nod to whoever sculpted the audio. Nice work!.....lots of rich, stereoscopic textures which go a long way to enhancing the whole experience

I'm really enjoying this game. It's not ground breaking, but does enrich a beloved genre.

An excellent, polished FPS with a fantastic story, superb sound, and great voice acting. The art and level design are also enjoyable. Perk unlocks add character progression and you can duel-wield almost all weapons. Plenty of collectibles to search for and 4 bonus modes to unlock. Really surprised how much I enjoyed this game even though it is single player only.

This is an FPS like no other. As an avid player of the FPS shooter genre Wolfenstien takes it to levels greater than most. What would have been if the Nazi's did win world war 2? Climbing up cliff faces while still being able to shoot gives a totally new and might I add awesome dynamic to the game. MachineGames haven’t exactly reinvented the FPS or even Wolfenstein here, but they have put together a consistently enjoyable, well-crafted action game and given you the motivation to blast your way through its stringier bits. If this is the New Order for Wolfenstein, then this is a promising start.

Thanks to the quality in both concept and function, this is one of the finest first-person-shooters I've ever played, and the best iteration of one of gaming's most storied franchises.

We would have preferred a greater freedom of action for the levels, rather than the linear and driven that we've found, but they are trifles for a title that deserves to be played at least once.
