    Good:
    1) Like perk system - to be better in stealth you have to do more stealth action - thats quite innovative and logical
    2) Enemies concepts, models etc... Looks like they have good imagination and will to create unique characters
    Bad:
    1) Plot- They are trying to do deep story with protagonist with difficult past, hurting memories... Really??? There are some interesting courses of action, Interesting post(?)-nazi world however ...imagine porn with main character surrounded by doubts, uncertain of his past role ... That is not what we are looking for;)
Transition between the areas are done by cut-scenes....thats cheap! Can't you guys in game-dev play once again in Unreal/Half Life and how they design heroe march through game?
2)Closed world - it shooter on rails, no exploration, no consequences of your action ( you shoot, throw grenades in one room and then move 50 meters and no-one is aware about any shooting)
    3) Check point - random, stupid and frustrating, you cannot even chose from which checkpoint you want to start your game! WHERE IS SAVE/LOAD option???? Thats been in Wolf3D in early 90s!!
    4) You gather carefully ammo and 3 minutes later game take it all from you and you are left with knife. I hate it. In Half Life 1/2 this was done for a reason here its done just to make game a little bit longer to make you strife to survive... And its done 4-6 times in a game!
    5) Difficulty curve--- there is no such thing, some levels in the middle are super easy while some on the beggining make you want to scream! And the fight with this huge Machine in London - come on! Its dull!

In summary... That might be good game however someone from game design did shortcuts, artificially trying to make game longer because of stupid difficulty curve, and removing(?) load/save, cut scenes that are justifying putting you in many stupid places...

This game would have been great and figure as a powerful successor to the old and beloved RtCW. Would have been... if it weren't for terrible controls and glitches on PS4.
The console version is bad on so many levels that I rage-quit in 4th mission (Eisenwald). Not only the checkpoints are extremly stupid and put you so much in history that you will soon attain hystery, but it is obvious

Unlike the heavenly feel of having the game under YOUR control in DOOM, you won't fight enemies here. You will fight the controls.

Layout cannot be much customized. If you played DOOM first, you will be raging. If you expect any help in aiming, you will be disappointed. And when the game makes a glitch that during gunfire you will suddenly look behind and get shot in the back, you will delete that game. Especially when you find out the closest checkpoint is 5 minutes back.

Graphics. Prepare for being distracted by aliasing. And awful textures. And unequal lighting. And texture popping-in (if you don't have SSD or at least hybrid I switched to).

Sound. It will distract you as well. Music cannot be lowered so you could hear what's happening in your vicinity, like someone talking etc. Reaching checkpoint would always scare me as I thought something important happened.

AI. Unfair. They killed me through the walls. They spotted me behind their back. Peeking is useless. On medium difficulty. The game doesn't slow or pause on weapon selection (circle system, which is not well-crafted for TVs where nothing is clearly visible BTW).

I've finished many FPSs on PS4. This is the worst so far.
Maybe on PC I'll be allowed to enjoy it, but not on console. Bad port.

    - Nothing new, just another FPS that copied other FPS'ers. Don't play it if you are expecting a whole new experience.
    - Game is only 5 hours long. You get platinum in only 1 day. Not worth the money.
    - AI is dumb as hell. - AI teleporting. I saw all of the enemies in a room, I ran up stairs, and an enemy just popped right in front of my face and killed me. Not even from behind a corner.

    - AI running through closed doors.
    - You get no help from allies, while they are close to you. There was a mission where you get dropped off by a friend in a helicopter. Then he just leaves, instead of giving covering fire.
    - Story is dumb. Frau Engel could've died when you escaped the prison. But no, thye made it so she survives it... I think everyone should think that when you can control a robot, you should make sure she's dead, instead of throwing her away and making her survive. Guess they needed to make the game longer in the worst way possible.
    - 2008 graphics for a 2014 game.

This game starts out as a nice fps with extra elements, quite challenging and fun. Unfortunately towards the end a series of extremely lame and unfun boss battles completely ruins the game.

After recently purchasing a PS4 and wanting to check out what games would go along with my initial purchase, the title "Wolfenstein" caught my eye. The reason? The reason? I consider myself more of an "old school" gamer, very much intrigued by games (or re-workings of games) that I used to play once upon a time. I spent many hours as a child in front of my computer monitor playing Wolfenstein 3D, so I was excited to see the game given a modern tweak. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by the story and a bit overwhelmed by the level of difficulty/controls.

As far as shooter games go, this one is probably pretty good. I don't usually dabble in this genre, so I'm not really the one to be asking about this sort of thing. But, it seems straightforward enough: you have objectives to meet and you have a kill a lot of Nazi's and Nazi robots/creatures to get them accomplished. The controls were a bit difficult for me to pick up, but I will readily admit that could be due to my newness to the PS controller after years of Nintendo/XBox.

Anyway, the main reason I'm cutting ties with this game after only playing through a few of the missions is because it didn't provide any of the nostalgia factor that I was looking for. I really was hoping that the game would have more nods to its history, but after a number of hours playing it I concluded that wasn't the point. "New Order" is more about moving forward than it is about harkening back to a 1990s PC shooter.

Thus, a 100% objective review of this game would probably bump it up a star (or maybe even two if you really, really like shooters). However, for what I was looking for, this game didn't cut it. I had to play on the easiest difficulty level to make any progress, and I kept looking for nods to the past when none were to be given. My advice to potential purchasers would be to examine what exactly you want from the game: If you are only buying it for the "Wolfenstein" name, you might very likely be disappointed.

Very boring game with a lot of stupid cutscenes, walking simulation missions and fetching quests. There is almost no action at all, and this action is actually pretty boring too. Big disappointment.

its a good game. although its graphic is not 10 but 7 . its game-play and story is 10. it has a long game-play and its worth to pay for. its weapon are good and are variable. your enemy are strong and if you don't pay attention you will be killed easily.

Honestly, even in hard mode this was easy. Maybe it's just nostalgia speaking to me but Wolfenstein 3D was MUCH better than this. This as absolutely boring. Great graphics, but not much in storyline or gameplay. Save your money.

Due to the lack of games for the PS4 I bought this in hopes for some new entertainment. I love games with detailed graphics and in depth character and weapon customization. The only weapon customization there is was a suppressor for my pistol that I get to screw on and off the muzzle. There are other things but nothing exciting. There is a perk system that allows you to enhance your character but not in the form of spending skill points, but more like kill 30 enemies in stealth and you'll be able to move faster while crouched...ok cool so my character improves as I play. I can't wait to finish the game so I can sell it and hope something better comes out that takes full advantage of what the PS4 is capable of. I feel ripped off for spending $60+tax on this. Very expensive movie. Expand

    I didn’t like it.
Armies were too weak and dumb. They won’t recognize the enemy, even they come near them. Throw a one knife at army and they die. That`s just too unrealistic.
Nazis in space, robots, SF weapons, that is just too unrealistic. This is not a Nazis. Robots, dogs, weapons are not good. I wanted to see battle with more realistic Nazis and real WW2 weapons. I wanted exactly

Wolfenstein: The New Order was kind of like Diamonds Are Forever. I wanted to see Hitler. Shooting games makes me bored. All the levels are shooting. I just like shooting games because I like the characters and places. I like games like Alien: Isolation. No weapons is more thrill and fun.

How a game about sci-fi nazis and robots can take itself this seriously is beyond me, but I really wouldn´t care as long a there were some good action to go along with it. However, this game has more cheesy cut-scenes and dialogues than it has actual gameplay.

MachineGames haven’t exactly reinvented the FPS or even Wolfenstein here, but they have put together a consistently enjoyable, well-crafted action game and given you the motivation to blast your way through its stringier bits. If this is the New Order for Wolfenstein, then this is a promising start.

We would have preferred a greater freedom of action for the levels, rather than the linear and driven that we've found, but they are trifles for a title that deserves to be played at least once.
