I was hesitant to give Uncharted 4 a perfect score. Like the other games in the series, it featured some of the natural faults of parkour controls (here's looking at you, Assassin's Creed) like Nathan not jumping to the handhold you want as well as the annoying typical Uncharted difficulty spike during the final chapters. The story was also somewhat predictable, even in a couple of its twists. However, the sheer excellence this game boasts in every other area is what earns that 10. The story, while predictable at times, is as fun as ever, and the introduction of Nathan's brother Sam is a fun change-up on the Nate/Sully pair. The performances and mo-cap work are as flawless as ever, and the actor's excellent performances really allow us to buy into the story. This also serves as a beautiful end to Nate's saga, with a truly unique epilogue. This is the closest a game has ever come to being full-blown cinema (at least in the games I've played). This is helped along by the absolutely stunning graphics. In 15 years of gaming, I don't think I ever let my mouth drop at visuals...until the opening sequences of Uncharted 4. Seriously, this is one of the most gorgeous and stunning games *ever*. The gameplay is tight and fun. Both stealth and brute force work equally well, but best in tandem. The set pieces are crazy as always, and the final boss battle was probably one of my favorites I've ever played. Last but not least, I've also really enjoyed diving into the multiplayer. Eschewing the traditional leveling system works well in this case, and the cosmetic bonuses are fun ways to utilize progression. All in all, Uncharted 4 is one of my favorite gaming experiences I've ever had. I would recommend ti (and the rest of the series for that matter) to anyone--not just gamers. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. For Nathan Drake's final outing, this was a huge one. The story takes some amazing twists and even ends in the same way as the Goonies! Gameplay-wise the shooting feels like it took a little bit from every Uncharted game and sprinkled it all in there. Gone is the shaky aiming, but every gun felt like Drake has the strength of a 12 year old firing a .45-caliber. The multiplayer is where it really shines. Every single item in the game is unlockable by simply playing. Though if you're impatient you can just spent actual money to unlock things, but with enough patience you can save the $50 bucks you'll inevitably spend on vanity gear. Again, when I say everything, I mean everything! Characters, outfits, accessories, taunts, all of it is unlockable with the "relic" currency you get for simply playing the game. One thing that's missing, though I hope they'll add was the co-op arena mode from Uncharted 3. I'd highly recommend this with the season pass as well because there is a story expansion coming as well as multiplayer expansions. Expand

Uncharted 4 is about 15 hours long, the bad thing about most adventure games is that they don't deliver on any cool or memorable moments through out the game, but Uncharted 4 is a system seller. It's easily the best one in the series, and it nails the ending so good.

Also, "A Thief's End" have an amazing storyline which make you cry in the end. It's the best-looking game for now, by the way. So, buy this game immediatly (if you were not doing this) and enjoy!

Uncharted 4 is one of the best video games I've ever played. When I think of my all-time favorites - Red Dead Redemption, Fallout New Vegas, Resident Evil 4 - Uncharted 4 is every bit as awesome as those games. This is the first game I've played on the PS4 that has truly wow'ed me.

The graphics are INSANE. A good deal better than any other game I've played. Essentially photo-realistic.

The graphics are INSANE. A good deal better than any other game I've played. Essentially photo-realistic. This game is beautiful. It's so beautiful that it's hard to go back to a game like Fallout 4 and take it seriously (yes, I realize FO4 is open-world, but it looks like a 2012 title in comparison). Uncharted 4 is a work of art. The draw distance and scope of the environments are second to none, and the attention to detail is mind-blowing.

The gameplay is a solid blend of climbing, exploring, and shooting. The shooting feels good for a 3rd person shooter, and the added stealth component is a lot of fun. The combination of climbing and shooting (e.g. swinging across a chasm while firing an Uzi or dropping from a ledge into the tall grass to perform a stealth kill) is where the game really shines. If it had TLOU-esque gore, the shooting would be that much more satisfying, but I understand they wanted to keep it Teen.

Combine the graphics and gameplay with an above-average story and fully-wrought characters and you have one of the best games of all time. In terms of sheer technical prowess, it may be THE best game of all time. It's laughable that this has a 7.8 user score. Don't listen to the trolls, nitpickers, and Xbox fanboys. This is incredible.

The introduction of the rope to game-play, as well as some ante upping on stealth mode are wonderful additions. The game is perfectly paced. The intensity ramps up higher and higher as the story continues. Firefights are much rarer than past installments, and very unique. This game-play variety surprisingly adds a lot to the story. Nate no longer feels like an unstoppable killing machine, but more like an aging man, past his prime, simply doing his best.

Of course, without the story, Uncharted would just be...well.., it wouldn't be AS amazing. But the cinematic plot does not disappoint. It incorporates flashbacks, without using them as a crutch, and unlike past games the plot progression continues even after the cut-scenes end. Those long walks through a path, awkward climbs up rustic buildings, and in this games case, drives through the desert now host interesting conversation rather than mindless, albeit often hilarious banter.

The set-pieces in the game are equally amazing. The breathtaking landscapes sometimes prompt a few minutes of inactivity where the player just stares at Naughty Dog's meticulous attention to detail. And with the new photo mode, this is even more magnificent.

Reportedly, this is to be the last game in the Uncharted franchise. Prior to playing this game, I was disappointed. "I hope its good" I thought, resolving to spend my last few weeks with Nathan Drake and CO. as well as possible, relishing every moment. But A thieves end is different. It does something next to impossible for a gamer. It satisfies. That desire for more that the player felt after uncharted one, two, and three, is totally absent. I may never see Nathan Drake again, and I'm okay with that. From brutal brawls, to death-defying leaps; wide open mountains, to claustrophobic caves, this game is practically perfect in every away.

The ending is intense with an awesome fight scene. It is also the perfect send off to the Nathan Drake and this ending keep thing open so we may have a uncharted game without Nathan in the future
    Gameplay:
Combat is more refined in this installment. More open areas that make for more dynamic gameplay. Stealth and melee are the best in the series taking a mix of uncharted and what Naughty dog in the 2013 hit "The Last of Us"
    Presentation:
This has to be one of the best looking games of all time. I can't believe that the ps4 can handle it. The single player runs in 1080p 30fps while the multiplayer runs in 900p 60 fps. This was a good choice as the story presentation was going for a movie like quality so it's more pretty with a movie like frame rate. The multiplayer is focused on gameplay so it needs a smoother framerate.
    Mulitiplayer:
The Mulitiplayer is fast and bombastic fun. Only 3 modes right now, Team Deathmatch, Objective, and plunder are all fun and exciting. If you want to be more competitive, there is a ranked mode for Team Deathmatch as well.
    Final Thoughts:
This is a beautiful crafted game that rivals some of the best games ever made. Flaws are so minor if any at all, it shows how much time and care has gone in to the final adventure in this series (at least for Drake) That why I consider this a perfect game, a game that other games in the industry should try to live up to. To make a game with as much quality and caliber as this.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I keep going back to this game to try and push through to the end, but it's a real struggle. And it's not because the game is difficult (it isn't) but because of how dreadfully boring it is.

I really enjoyed the other three games - 1 was unpolished but fun, 2 was the best of the series, 3 upped the spectacle and diverse environments though was disjointed and made less sense. I even played most of Golden Abyss and it wasn't bad. Uncharted 4 is just a tedious slog. It's one thing to have puzzles, character moments, and slow parts to build immersion and break up the action. All the others had these and it worked. But this time around they basically forgot to include any actual gameplay! Action sequences seem almost begrudgingly shoved in, in the form of "encounters", which are actually fine, but they are often literally hours apart. In between these are interminable segments of walking, talking, and climbing, with little to no additional combat.

I have made it maybe 1/2 or 2/3 of the way through the game, and the plot isn't great. It looked promising at first starting out with 'retired' Nate getting back into the adventurer game, and I thought I would give it time to slowly build. But then it didn't really go anywhere interesting. The ret-conned brother character really comes out of left field. Somehow the relationships and dialogue don't do it the way they used to. Something "fun" is missing. It's clear there are different writers.

The invulnerable (yet entirely uninteresting) black female character Nadine kicking Nate's ass left me scratching my head at first because it seemed so weird and unnecessary, but now that I know about Neil Druckman and his catastrophic influence on The Last of Us 2's plot, it makes sense that he would shoehorn this in as part of his absurd "woke" agenda.

I can't for the life of me figure out how this misfire of a game came away with so many 9/10 reviews. Maybe one day I will make it through this one. For anyone considering picking this up, however, be warned: you might hate the series after playing it.

    Edit, revised score from 4/10:

Now that I have finished the game, I can say that the second half finally picks up the pace and is better, and even its slow bits are improved, though the first 10-15 hours are still ridiculously slowly paced. If the first time wasn't gratuitous enough, Nadine kicks both Drake brothers' asses in hand-to-hand combat a second time!

The final sword fight with Rafe is obnoxious and too difficult, basically a 10-minute quicktime event. Game developers: don't introduce a completely new game mechanic for the final scene! (Pro tip, spam both triangle and circle each time he swings and you'll parry correctly enough to get through).

The ending is decent overall and brings good closure to the series, though why a guy who now literally owns a salvage company doesn't make project #1 to go back to the island and recover the billions of dollars in lost gold which he now knows the exact location of, boggles the mind.

The Game tells more narrative story, puzzle cyphering then actual action gameplay, however their is still a lot of action in the game just not as much Uncharted 2 Among Thieves and Uncharted 3 Drake’s Deception. The Game is more in the likeness of Drake’s Fortune when talking about mood for the game. With saying that their is a much more narrative story then Drake’s fortune and other 2 releases which is a good thing. On the gameplay side the new aim lock target is very awesome, in which the cursor is bigger and more hardened when locked and as usually lights up red when locked and ready for fire. The game also has picture mode so you as the player can now take in game framed pictures of Drake, even though we have the share factory on PS4 it’s still a great feature by hitting down on the sticks and capturing to just share your photo instantly. The Maps are big ranging from 40 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes and the campaign has a prologue, 22 chapters, and a epilogue chapter going into the future years after the final chapter. All and All Uncharted 4 was the game i was waiting for and I’m thrilled with the results. The only negative thing I can say isn't even about the game, it's about all the salty, bitter xbone and wiiu owners a game of this calibre has brought out of the woodwork to give it a 0 on this site, as they clearly can't handle a game like this being a ps4 exclusive.

It's amazing how many times I checked other reviews of these aforementioned sad, little people to find that not only given this masterpiece a 0, but had given xbone or wiiu games arbitrary 10s.

I guess i'll leave them to denigrate Uncharted 4 without even having played it, while the rest of us adults go about the business of actually enjoying every second we spend with Drake's swan song.

Oh well, i'm off to start my second playthrough, happy gaming everyone.

If you are a fan of the Uncharted series, you will once again be baffled how the dev's could create yet another part of the series, which is in no way less entertaining than the other two. The graphics are so good, that i sometimes saw myself stand motionless in the world, not realizing the cutscene had already ended. The level design is once again almost flawless in what it wants to achieve. I really can't stress enough how much of a masterpiece this game is.
Uncharted 4 has the ability to tell a story as indulging as a game from the Telltale studio, while sticking to an action-heavy gameplay. The scenery also almost made me cream myself at times. Simply stunning level design!! The facial expressions alone remind me of L.A. Noire.. just even better. Its almost lifelike.

The game has the player go from cutscene, to climbing and to (sometimes a little annoying) gunfights in such a manner, that one never gets bored of it. NaughtyDog really knows how to pace a game.
I really can't understand any negative reviews on this site. This game is one of the greats already! Even if there is some critique, it should in my opinion in no way be a negative review... But I guess theres a lot of people here that only have an XBOX and are missing out on this obvious masterpiece.. Sorry about that.

Although this game gets some things wrong, it gets so much right, that the player doesn't even get much time to complain. Its just highlight after highlight. In a good way!

Buy this game. Worth every penny!

Before I start my review, I have to say that you 100% must play the first 3 games before playing this one, not to understand what’s going on or to enjoy it, but to get out all of it you can, you need to play those games.
This is a love letter to the fans, a goodbye letter to series, and it’s beautiful.
Uncharted 4 A Thiefs end is a much slower game than the trilogy... there is some cover based shooting sprinkled through this 15 hour campaign, but just sprinkled..
This game is all about storytelling and set pieces…
I’ve cried playing games, but not as much as I’ve cried playing this game
And that isn’t to say anything sad happens, maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t..
But either way knowing this is goodbye, every artifact and picture crushed my soul.
This is a bit of an origins story… How Nathan Drake became a thief, how he learned to do all of the awesome things he does…as well as a full circle
A thief’s end introduced Nathan Drakes older brother Sam,
I knew Sam was a thing thanks to trailers and I didn’t expect to care about him at all.. but it didn’t take long for me to care about him just as much as the other characters I’ve grown with over the past 9 years
Sam gets out of prison and comes to you to help him clear a debt, so you set out with him to find Avery’s Treasure
After a beautiful slow start, the hunt for this treasure is where it really starts to pick up and become that cover shooter we all know and love..
    But again... only sprinkled…
There is much more emphasis on stealth this time around, being able to take out enemies in tall grass…
Having played the campaign on both explorer and crushing mode… crushing mode being first…
I’ve found that crushing mode not only makes you die faster...
But it also makes stealth in this game near impossible, as enemies have an immersion breaking alertness to them…
Many frustrating moments in crushing difficulty that I never experienced in explorer
but the main focus of this game is again the set pieces… the platforming...
I’ve never been a fan of the uncharted platforming mechanics…
It’s still no assassin’s creed, but this is miles better than it’s ever been…
Throwing a grappling hook on the fly, sliding down hills for a boost to make a jump
its exhilarating to pull off a lot of these jump without a 2nd thought...
And if I did fall, I rarely ever feel like I fell because of the game….
The fault felt much more on me than it did in past games…
There is also tons of driving through beautiful locations…
you can even hop out of these open locations to look for something I also am not a huge fan of in uncharted... the collectible treasures…
I personally despise collectibles outside of open world games, simply because for me at least they are the most immersion breaking aspect of any linear style of game…
I’m exploring every cave and crevice, not because I’m intrigued, but because there’s a trophy for finding all the stuff…
Meanwhile the journal entries are done perfectly as a lot of the time they are found naturally, or within the last of us style environmental dialog
Speaking of the last of us,
the influence of that game really sticks out here as the majority of the game you’ll have someone with you to help you overcome the many obstacles this game throws at you.
There is also a competitive online multiplayer with a variety of classes to choose from all having their own weapons and perks like a side kick, or med packs…
There are some pretty annoying microstransactions here to unlock other characters and customization options like alternate costumes and taunts, but thankfully you are able to unlock multiplayer items by earning in game currency throughout matches
While Uncharted 4 may feel more like a 15 hour movie than it does a game, I still feel that this a masterly crafted farewell to one of the greatest series to have ever existed.

For these reasons alone the game gets my 8 out of 10 and my recommendation that it's worth playing.

However, I'm rather disappointed with the combat mechanics in Uncharted 4. Gunplay in the Uncharted series has always been lackluster so it baffles the mind that they fine tuned the gunplay for this entry while simultaneously making the combat revolve almost entirely around stealth.

Except when playing the two easiest difficulties, Uncharted 4 plays more like a Metal Gear Solid clone rather than the previous Uncharted games. Getting caught out of stealth puts ALL the nearby enemies into alert, making them immediately target you with ridiculous accuracy. Your only hope of survival is to run away, break alert status and regain stealth. Straight up head-on gunfights will kill you almost every time, especially with enemies who can consistently lob grenades that land at your feet or thread bullets through the smallest of windows regardless of cover.

Previous Uncharted titles were action shooters where stealth was given an additional reward (in terms of extra items dropping) but Uncharted 4 is a stealth shooter where action is almost penalized (in terms of AI being able to off the player with cheap tactics). This design is frustrating, to say the least.

I'm kinda glad this is supposedly the final chapter of Nathan Drake as it allows me to turn the page on the Uncharted franchise and not feel bad about skipping any future entries, especially if this shift in combat design is Naughty Dog's plan going forward. Addendum: Having now finished the game, I can say the ending was well worth any amount of gameplay frustration the game dished out along the way. That said, given the ending, I just can't see myself playing any future Uncharted titles. This franchise simply *feels* complete now.

Pacing is great; the story starts off slow because it needs to introduce several characters that was in Nate's past but never mentioned in the previous 3 games (Rafe, Sam, Nadine), to make them coherent to the plot, and right after that the game takes off. Animation is gorgeous, facial expression is amazing, and all the characters are love-able (villains included). Some tracks in the game are quality orchestration, but for the most part the rest are not memorable. Gameplay is the typical Uncharted series plus grappling hook but with better animation, so don't expect great innovation in that department. I like the darker tone of this game because it really grounds Nathan Drake and also concludes his saga (unfortunately). A must buy for PS4 gamers. Expand

I really felt sad at the end of the game knowing it will most likely be the last on featuring my beloved nathan drake. It felt like saying goodbye to an old friend. If you are going in not expecting COD or a normal shooter, and are open to an at times relaxing gaming experience and the most stunning technical achievement in gaming to date, with many likeable characters, go ahead and play it. That been said I will proceed...

The Uncharted series have been solid in all aspects but they're primarily known for their story. Uncharted 4 doesn't stray from this connotation and fills the player with an array of emotions as it goes on from the typical uncharted humour, to seriousness and a real sense of emotion.
This helps create individual personas for the characters and a real sense of empathy and by the end of the game when they look back over the previous games I couldn't help myself but feel ((((SPOILER)))) part of the family and journey that they had created.

I'm glad they seem to have put the nail in the coffin, not in a negative way but so that we can remember the Uncharted games for the great series that it is.

I've been hearing some complaints about the pacing, but I felt like it was good. I don't think pacing is as important in a game overall, since you typically won't sit down and play the game in one sitting, like you would watching a film. Either way, the pacing was a little different than the other games, and the last half spends most of its time in one setting... but the entire first game was on an island, so I wasn't bothered at all. I loved the open gameplay of taking out enemies, I could really see a series like this becoming open world and working out very well. All of the mechanics were flawless. I did find myself jumping off a cliff here and there, but every time it felt like I did something stupid, whereas in previous games it was totally the game. It took me a little over 13 hours to comfortably play through it on my first run, and it could have easily been longer. There is a trophy for beating it in under 6, but I don't see that happening easily. I loved everything about the single player, and the multiplayer thus far seems great. Easily the worst Uncharted game. Even below #1 despite the advancements since then. When judged as a "movie-game" all 3 previous installments had a brisker pace and better encapsulated the identity of the series. Uncharted 2 is the best TPS/action/story game this side of Resident Evil 4, and yet Uncharted in it's fourth iteration feels like a chore. It feels like it was made by a different team entirely. This is the sort of game I would have expected had Sony demanded another UC game that ND didn't want to do and they handed the reigns to a different studio. One unanimous praise I'm hearing seems to be the graphics but I'm not even convinced the graphics have improved a ton since Uncharted 2. Things are sharper and more detailed in the town settings, and some of the skyline/mountainous backdrops are superior to the previous games, but those scenes are not the entire game. There's a lot in between that is quite bland. Almost as if they spent too much time on certain sections and not enough on others. I would have much rather they went for 60fps and dropped the visual fidelity. But alas, ND has clearly chosen graphics over gameplay here, because if ND played this game along side any of the previous 3 they must have realized it was less fun moment-to-moment and kept tweaking until it was. I've played the game twice now and it was better the second time around because I had a better understanding of the stealth and shooting mechanics throughout the entire experience, but the bland story, intermittent shooting and 30fps graphics all take their toll. I feel really bad that this team put so much effort into a game which ends up not as fun as it ought to be. Expand

I tell you what....this game is awesome.
Bravo to Sony and Naughty Dog on an epic end to an epic series.

One guy even went so far to say that Quantum Break was a 10.....c'mon man....stop kidding yourself. He also gave Halo 5 a 10 out of 10 and Halo 5 is the worst Halo of the entire series.

    Now for the review:

If you've played all of the previous Uncharted games and the Last of us, then you will definitely not be disappointed. The same gorgeous cinematics, the same great game play and the same ridiculously awesome character development that these game have offered time and time again. Naughty Dog hasn't missed a beat with Uncharted 4 and I'm glad they took the time to postpone it a few times to make sure everything was as great as it is now.

The single player campaign is as great as every other one. Would I say it's the best one? I would say it's hard to beat Uncharted 2 but it's definitely neck and neck. Once I give it a couple of more play throughs, I can definitely give that final verdict at another time. The story drags a little bit in some parts but it isn't as disappointing as some of the critic reviews have said. I was really hoping they would add the crafting and upgrading features that The Last Of Us had, but it isn't a deal break. The game is so fluid and so remarkable that these little features can be passed on. The character interactions are amazing. There's literally parts where if you're climbing on a wall and your brother Sam is next to you, if you have to get over and across from where he is hanging on to, you will grab on his shoulders and then move. These little details is what makes this game great. Most games would make you go around the other character. Theres so much detail in this game it makes you appreciate the amount of work and effort that ND put into it. Simple gestures, body movements and on the fly speaking make the game remarkable.

The multiplayer is even better than before. I admit, I was a Last of Us multiplayer addict. They added something to PVP in the LAst of Us that no one else was doing and it felt so refreshing to play that game time and time again. I'm glad they brought a good bit of those PVP elements in the Last of us to UC4. Getting kills gets you points, those points are used to upgrade your abilities or whatever else you have available. You get 4 slots of upgrades to you character with a couple of slots for upgrades to your guns as well. The perks and passive abilities are awesome. You can buy a AI helper that follows you around with in match currency that you get from kills, assists and KOs. These AI helpers can be one of three people; A Healer, A Sniper or a Tank. The tank follows you around where you go and starts mowing down people in sight. Think of these things as sort of a Kill Streak reward. There's also the "super" abilities, as Iike to call them. I believe there are 4 different abilities to choose from. Once you get enough funds to purchase it, you get one and when you see a group of enemies close by, drop that super off and start raking in the kills and ko's! There's also an ability that you set down that auto revives any of your fellow teammates that haven't been ko'd yet.

This is one of the best games I've ever played in my entire life and I will suggest it to anyone. Once the story is done the PVP aspect of the game is so refreshing and fun that you can play it for multiple hours and wonder where the time has gone. There is so much replay power with the PVP portion of the game and I was so impressed with it because most games that have great single player campaigns usually lack in the MP area. This is one of those games that do them both very well, just like the last of us did.

Everything you know and love about the series is back, but on a much bigger and much more detailed scale. The stellar shooting and fighting sequences blend together better than ever and the platforming, exploring aspects are a lot smoother and a lot larger than we've seen before. The amazing storytelling we are used to from the developers does not dissappoint once again, and this time it is more personal than we've been used to. The acting/voice acting is also top notch as usual, this cast is so perfect together, their performances are simply flawless. The amount of stuff you can do in the game is also outstanding, you can drive a boat, a jeep, can use a grappling hook to cimb up to places you could not before and of course treasure hunting is back as well. The epic set pieces and spectacular action scenes are here also, and as expected you will solve quite a few interesting puzzles as well. Multiplayer has a bigger focus this time around, and it is a lot of fun. The online battles are always action packed and the level designs are extremely well done. Gameplay wise it does not take any risks at all, but the once solid gameplay mechanics are polished beyond perfection this time arround. Shooting mechanics are improved, fire arms feel realistic, cover system is more reliable this time arround, climbing and jumping feel more responsive and natural. Uncharted 4 introduces a hook, which leads to some fantastic showcase of Nathan Drake's dexterity, and can be used in combat aswell, making the movement across the battlefield feel natural and spectacular. Stealth mechanics where added in this new entry of the series, altough minimal and basic in functions, they add a layer of depth much needed in the series, and can make your work easier when facing large gropus of enemies, though stealth is not forced upon the player at any time, and there are no real punishments for screwing over a stealth aproach, which is a good thing in these series. Uncharted 4 also showcases semi open world enviroments in some of its chapters, and offer a variety of paths to travel into, which is a neat addition to the game, but nowhere as complex as a sandbox game, but its clear that wasn't the developer's intention here.

Technicalwise, the game is impresive. The graphics are amongst the best i have experienced so far in this generation, standing over games like the Order 1886, Batman Arkham Knight or Bloodborne, at a very solid 30fps, with dips so rare and uncommon they can be labeled unexistent, even at the crazy over the top action set pieces filled with hundreds if not thousands of objects traversing the screen, and many enviromental effects: its a technical masterpiece. Sound design is also great: the voices distort when traversing caves or closed envoriments, so does the sounds of firearms. The atention to detail is exquisite, from one of the most realistic rain effects ever seen, to the underwater explotions lightning the water at the beggining of the game, or the distortion of shadows standing on water, or the surface of water being disturbed by the wind, or the light piercing over the treetops to land on a muddy surface: this is the most alive gaming world yet, when it comes to its enviroments and setting. Facial expresions are extremely realistic, and set a benchmark for games to come in the future.

Story wise the game is also great, but it comes with some pacing problems at the early chapters, but still it does make up for it with great character development and narrative fundations which flourish at the later chapters. Nathan's brother, Sam, ends up being one of the best characters in the series, and its relationship with his brother Nate feels natural and well written, specially by the work of its voice actor, Troy Baker, one of the best in the industry.

This 4th installment of the Uncharted franchise is also the longest, and by its end, the player feels a true sense of closure for one of the gaming industry greatest aventure series. Naughty Dog has proven once again videogames are to be taking seriously, and certainly the next gen begins when Naughty Dog decides to.

Uncharted 4 is a most own for every ps4 owner, and a must play for every gamer out there wise enough to ignore exclusivity and brand borders, in search of one of gaming's most intense adventures yet.

At least in TLOU, they kill the infected, and in a post apocolyptic world everyone is desperate for survival, which leaves more varied enemies and also more strategy and different types of gameplay. They also arent forced to vary the gameplay by adding long platforming sequences.

This game sets a new standard for this generation.

The graphics are unreal, you spend a lot of time just looking around and drooling at how beautiful everything looks. Even indoors, the detail of every room and object is simply outstanding. This is how a game should be developed.

The gameplay is fun, refreshing and extremely suspenseful throughout. It doesn't give you the time to get bored and it lets you master your own style of play and create the Drake you want to create.

The story is the star of the show however. All Uncharted games had a pretty solid story for a video-game, but this one tops them, and by a pretty big margin. The story is carefully planned, interesting, intelligent, developing the characters along the way, and keeping you extremely entertained throughout. The diallogues, the action, it all comes together perfectly.

10/10 by far. If all devs will approach games like Naughty Dog do, gaming would be a much, much more interesting and evolved place. Congrats Naughty Dog and congrats Sony.

This is a movie in the form of a game. Mechanics are entirely dull and repetitive... The complete synopsis of the game is "you climb and talk to your brother."

Mechanics are everything in a game and unless you want to watch a movie through a game by pressing X, I would caution you against this. I lost $30 or more trading it back in but I did it because I literally couldn't bear to spend another second of my life on this game.

Uncharted 4 is a landmark title that anyone remotely interested in interactive storytelling should invest in. Naughty Dog has once again raised the bar across the industry. Thrilling shootouts, a staggering level of detail, breathtaking visuals and emotional depth come together to make Uncharted 4: A Thief's End a must-play masterpiece.

Stating that the forthcoming game will be the last rendezvous with a popular, charismatic hero is a rare phenomenon. I congratulate Naughty Dog on their courage and in spite of myself keep my fingers crossed for them to stick to their decision. The farewell party they threw for Nate is simply spectacular. This is how I want to remember him, not as an old man who rubbed his joints with pain cream and then found a UFO. Uncharted 4 is a brilliant game and a breathtaking demonstration of what PS4 is capable of. [07/2016, p.56]

Whiteknuckle action, captivating characters, and luscious locales - the best Uncharted yet. [June 2016, p.64]
