Three years waiting and The Division finally comes. And I have to say that this game is a masterpiece. Beautiful graphics, environment full of things, objects, crashed cars, realistic weapons, complete gear customization, very nice narrative. So let the apocalypse begin and just enjoy it!

It's like Ubisoft had a meeting and said, "We're going to show everyone how to make a video game!", because when you see the amount of money, creativity, detail, next gen graphics and vision that went into this game... there's really nothing else to compare it to. The Division is in a league of it's own. Gamers, this is the game we've been waiting for!

Played this all the way to 30 and DZ rank 40. The game is full of bugs that should have been picked up in beta or QA testing, menu glitches, crashes, item bag glitches, falling through the world, and more are all common place. PvP is a free for all and all the best PvE gear is locked behind it, the game is a griefers paradise. Do Not Buy This game.

The Division is a game many have been wanting for years. I'm talking about before it was even announced 3 years ago. Gamers have been looking forward to a good RPG Shooter that satisfied both Shooter and RPG enthusiasts in equal manner since shooter games existed. The Division is that game.
It is clear and apparent that a lot of time was put into the development. In many ways it does so many things right and in few areas does it sell short.

GAMEPLAY - The best aspect of this game so far is the core gameplay. Forget about the RPG elements for now. This is a cooperative tactical shooter at heart. Is it the most realistic? No, but that is to be expected. Its a video game after all. If you want simulation play ARMA. The ability to fire and maneuver and play tactically with a team of 4 is exactly what you'll get with The Division. It is a fun cooperative shooter. Now the enemies are a little "spongy". Some are complaining about this saying " its unrealistic humans would die faster in real life". Yeah that is correct... Good observation, but, nobody complains when their fighting a dragon with a sword that's flying around spitting fire and talking at the same time. Nobody is sitting around saying "this doesn't happen in real life...."
Now when we start talking about the RPG aspect it is a little different than most and it doesn't have the depth that some RPG's on the market offer such as The Witcher. However it still satisfies. This is a numbers game and is a little complicated to soak in at first but any fan of the RPG genre wouldn't complain. After all that's what an RPG is all about. You can explore, buy, sell, craft, upgrade, and loot just like any other RPG out there. The Loot system so far for my play through has been a little unsatisfying but at this point I have not completed the game and cannot fully comment. I spent a few hours in the Dark Zone as well and seemed to have trouble finding something I wanted. Maybe I'm just picky.
Next I want to comment on the controls. I have only one small complaint here. I would pop out of cover all the time when I didn't want to and move around corners when I didn't want to. Well, apparently someone in the dev. team felt the same and put it in the control options to fix both of these issues. Now of course this was purely personal preference and not a legitimate complaint.

This is a great game. Graphics look fantastic for me (Dual 970GTX). Game play is fun. I do think it will depend heavily on DLC content, but then again, i think that' s been ubisofts plan from the start. Me and my 3 friends have had a great time playing! If you play with a group of friends, you cant go wrong.

Subsequently these factors combined with a lack of variety in the main story left us underwhelmed at the end of The Division. You should, however, spend time in The Division for its atmosphere; its beautifully crafted city is a true accomplishment. The dark zone PvP is great fun but requires a lot of dedication from the player but can so easily turn into a grind.

The best way to play The Division, is to load it up and go exploring, take your time to simply see what the city has to offer. Then team up with friends to alleviate the inevitable grind.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Just like Destiny you need to give this game a chance. I believe the additional content, updates and fixes to the servers will make this one of the best MMO hybrid RPG's to date. For now its kind of a rocky start. For some reason Uplay has issues with online games. Assassins Creed Unity was a good example. Great vision and idea but ended up going south due to the ongoing problems with the servers. Games need to move in this direction; Online campaigns and missions in an open world, playing with your friends like a dungeon crawl with a boss at the end and plenty of loot, customizations and items to collect on the way feels right. The Division's graphics are up to par, some lag during battles when things get crazy. The story gets lost at times and you really are not that interested. But at least they attempt to integrate a story into an MMO kudos for that. Looking forward to the future as I did purchase the gold package with the season pass. Hopefully Uplay has some tricks under there sleeve otherwise it may be a bust. I have faith the game will get better. So far a good fun game looking forward to all the improvements and what could be one of the best games this year. As of now the game gets an 8.0 but looks like it could move to a 10 hopefully soon. Hell, even my girlfriend bought this game to play it with me. And she also enjoys it fully, grinding, loot, side ops, fun story and amazing graphics in openworld. What's more fun standing together in a part of New York, behind her giving her cover, headshots, while she empties her machinegun?!

Then there is the story if you can call it that.. the missions feel no different between each other and i feel no sense of accomplishment upon beating them. They are boring dull and repetitive, if you want play game for long periods of time, this game is not for you.

Now for combat i do enjoy duck and cover system but it irritates me that it take a clip to the head to kill a thug wearing a baseball cap and hoodie. I know its RPG but it just doesnt work for me a human doesnt survive a clip of an M4 to the head, or when set guy with gas canister on fire and they just brush it off or when you fire a grenade launcher into their face its just stupid.

Then there is free roam, or walking simulator as thats all i seem to do, walk around doing boring side quests for reasons i still don't know.

I think if Ihadn't played destiny id have appreciated this game more but Destiny bored me enough and this feels like present day Destiny

I will say though i do like loot system and weapons customisation i think they have done a good job here. Also the environment is designed well its just the content within it.

Game had great potential but unless raids they release soon are completely different, i dont see myself playing this game much more after ive completed story

Where to start? The fact that the environment is very bland. The story has no depth whats so ever. The AI is stupid. Audio quality is even worse that the graphics, I think that's the first time I have noticed this in modern over hyped game. And the dialog is the standard American security team stereotype, which is really not interesting to say the least.

The thing that killed it for me though, is that there is too many things going on the screen at once. "Press x here and here or there, press circle here, hold square, here is a really big box for your weapon status info" nothing is subtle. In addition to a lot of user interface features that seem like an afterthought.

Everything just feels so boring in solo play, and such a let down in co-op. Each encounter felt the same after the first few There is no stealth element to the game, just bad cover shooting; nothing else.

Shoot shoot walk, shoot shoot walk, oh look, I died; but this games so bad I just don't care. The AI is stupid, the graphics have taken a massive downgrade from the game footage we've seen over the last 2 years, and the variety in character clothing/attire is generic as everyone seems to be dressed the same.

Ubisoft have failed to deliver on everything they promised with this game. The Division is a repetitive, clunky, boring, cover based MMO shooter if you play with friends; and a really bad cover based shooter with a terrible story, a drab world and monotonous, repetitive, tedious missions if you play solo.

Maybe that's your thing? If not, too bad because you won't find any here. If you are new to duck and cover shooters, you are going to have a bad time since the tutorial is severely lacking. This game is very stat oriented, to the point that if you don't have blue+ gear, you are going to have a bad time. In fact, you are probably going to be forced to group to finished every mission and every mission is the same.

The game gives the illusion of choice with stacking stats and three different ability trees but there is only one stat that matters, firearms (dps) and one ability (healing) that matters. Everything else is pure garbage compared to these.

Right now there is no end game, except doing daily missions of the same again and again. The Dark Zone is a joke too. It's the same as everywhere else in the game except the enemies are even tankier, and other players can shoot at you. At low levels pvp like this is fun but at high levels the penalties for going 'rogue' take the fun out of it for very long. There are not pure pvp arenas either.

I gave this game a 1 because it managed to run on my PS4 without crashing, which is me being generous. Don't waste your money on this game.

The combat is fun and require legitimate strategy rather than just 'aim shoot bang u ded', and often requires coordination and communication between you and your teammates to effectively tackle an objective. On top of this, the visuals look absolutely fantastic on PS4. The snow-covered streets are an absolute blast to walk around and look at, and there's a sense of barrenness, but executed correctly, unlike games like Fallout 4.

Graphics aside, the mechanics of the game are really adictive, like destiny. It's really fun to play coop, and the level of difficulty is well balanced. The map is huge and at first the seems like there is loads of content. The shooting is fun, although the enemies seem a bit like bullet sponges and stupid at first.

Great game , if you like destiny and uncharted mix ,lack some endgame , there is not too much to do after you hit level cap, just grind for loot, but will probably be solved with the next update

After a week or so of gameplay, I like this game, it had potential to be even better though.

It's a little repetitive, if only the designers had have used their imaginations a little more.....

P.S: Play with friends or just matchmaking, especially in missions.

The Division! that's right to combat all of the rioters and attempt to cure the virus or whatever.

This game is pretty fun even though the base game like so many others that are releasing being the fore runners of MMO's on console "cough" destiny "cough" has a pretty serious lack of content that guess what? will be fixed when the expansion releases. This isn't to say that the base game isn't fun because it really is especially if you play with others to complete your missions.

This game boasts a pretty cool mod section for your weapons being able to carry 3 in all, consisting of barrel, laser, for grip, magazine, and skin upgrades for your various weapons.
Being able to find clothing customize what your character looks like is pretty awesome i saw a guy yesterday that was dressed in what looked like a SS soldiers uniform however i may be mistaken.

The meat and potatoes of this game is the actual gameplay and while i hate to say it, is the vision of its potential, as you play the division you will constantly think to yourself what is the end game going to be like especially if you are coming from destiny because in MMO's usually the endgame is the best part of the game and the rest just being a grind, ubisoft didn't really do that to much honestly what you see is what you get besides the "Dark Zone" which is a massive PvP area for players that has the best loot in the game where you can team up or go it alone, however if you team up and go all Gomer Pyle and kill your teammates you will be marked as a rogue and face some seriously harsh penalties and whoever kills you will get a pretty hefty reward which has caused encountering rogue players to be pretty rare its usually just new guys doing it to do it once. That's pretty much the endgame....yeah.

So does this game have a lack of content? yes, does it remind you of vanilla destiny because of this? yes. however i really feel like the potential for the division is far greater than destiny's at this point ubisoft seems pretty content on having micro transactions be for items that don't affect progression or gameplay which is great. Ubisoft has been putting it out there of 8 man payer incursions which would be similar to raids in other games and time table for that? idk but hopefully in the first expansion they will extend it all a little bit we will see.

The Division at this point 7/10 due to lack of content but its about time somebody stepped up to combat destiny.

I am running it on PC with a top of the line Geforce 980 ti and I am getting close to 60fps at 4k. Everything in the game from characters to textures to weapons to the scenery are stunning. The amount of effort put into the detail blows me away. If you can afford to upgrade to a 4k experience this game makes it worthwhile.

Game play is solid, shooting is fun and the weapons are varied and customization is a blast. Crafting is good, base building adds a nice element and the world is fun to explore. There is a deep storyline that many players may rush past but it's worth it to try to figure out what happened around you and prior to your entry into post-apocalyptic NYC.

Downsides are that it does get a bit repetitive and comparisons to early days Destiny are not off base. I wonder how long I will stay interested in exploring the same city with somewhat repetitive mission structures. I haven't played a lot of multiplayer and I suspect I will have to to have a real chance at surviving the Dark Zone. I tend to stick to PvE but with The Division you pretty much have to join up to experience the entire game.

I sort of hate that DLC is just a given in today's world and that this is really only what, a third of the eventual game? I can afford the $100 entry fee so I'll go with it and see how I like it after the level 30 cap.

All in all, this game is what you make it. The complaints about the end game being dull are understandable, but there is plenty of challenge left at that point. This game to many will seem like a different or improved version of Destiny.

The very definition of mediocrity. Bland mechanics, shooting feels uninspired, missions are mind-numbingly repetitive. An unsuccessful mishmash of tactical shooting, RPG, and MMO; Ubi should have picked one and stuck with it. Wait for this game to drop in price, or borrow from a friend...

Mechanics: Well .. moving in combat is sometimes quiet annoying. You often stuck on some invisible edges or do moves you dont really wanted to. Ok its not me i am talking about, but i here that very often, when i hear some friends in Party.

AI: Very stupid NPCs. I can often shoot 1-2 magz in enemys that try to gesticulate more than once and repeating the same gestic instead of seeking cover.

Bugs: yeah .. they will always be BUT why the heck they didn't fix those from the Beta?? Players get kicked out of combat while they are in a group. Its rarely, but still existing. I couldnt finish 2 Quests for more than 10 Hours. Seemed like there was a missed trigger, but when the mission is: " return to HQ to finish side missions" and the Mission Agent is standing 1m in front of me, but i cant interact .. thats very sad.
I had in the Beta the feeling, that waypoints and waymarker worked better than now. It happens often when i set waypoints that the Path wont show up, even if the destination is more than a mile away.

Longtime Motivation missing. Many people already talked about it, and when i take a close look at the Map i can only say. Its way more smaller than people realize at first sight. There are really nice sightseeings and its beautiful to watch, but when i hear about Players that finish the game within 15 hours .. seriously. I think people would share my point when i say, the size of the Beta was 1/4. I dont include missions in that, because i am talking about the Map size.
I played the Beta and i was like "wow ... that might be small part from that whats coming to us at release".
I am very disappointed right now...

Where is the promised 4rd player THE DRONE?! They cutted the hell out of the game ... not only the HUD, they also kicked out an whole character!!!!

But now less from the negative
What i really appreciate are the game tactics. It makes fun playing tactic and its easy for the group to pull together. What i also like is that every kind of group acts different. That puts the player in a whole new situation that makes him rethink his strategy and harass him to fall back if he has to .. Its a really combat based game.
Well, this is the only i reason why i give only 3/10. The HQ has some nice Features that can be upgraded, but that shouldnt be the main part of the game and i hoped there would be something more, because i just go to the base to craft some items (yeah thats an extra + .. the crafting system) but thats the only thing that makes this game really RPG. There is no RPG if you cant craft.

In this game is much potential that first has to be expanded. Right now the Content is for me like every other Indi game "In nicer graphic"..

This game still feels like beta. Minimal character creation.
AI still needs lots of work, for a cover shooter you don't need cover most of the time (boss fights you need cover but you're plagued with bullet sponges.

Basically if you liked destiny at launch its more of that. The game had decent enough shooting but that's basically it. The game lacks depth and once you hit level 30 and get the best gear, there is no reason to continue. It's good for about 1 playthrough of the story then your done, which i personally feel isn't worth it.

It's a shame that this game has so much appeal and the whole idea of a Dark Zone is sweet. But the fact that other players can hear your mic conversations and randomly join in on your party chat with friends to know what your gonna do and talk to back and fourth I really feel Ubigay screwed up on. What part of the game requires strategy but you cant do it because you have 2-3 other dip ****s listening in so they know your next move. I really had high hopes for this game and in one fell swoop it was ruined by a bunch of over geared lvl 13-14 players decked out in legendary gear at 14 to kill other players and all they do is sit together and act all nice then kill you when your trying to load the chopper.. This game is for you if you have no life or only see to it as to bully other players and ruin there experience of the game. Has Ubigay ever heard about Battle Grounds? I think not I think The Dark Zone should be a PVE with harder bosses and etc not a lets see if my team of bullies can kill a team of friends/casual players. So as I will say the missions are very bland The Dark Zone is blunt and needs a lot of improvements. Oh and so you know they whole aspect of RPG shooters turning into a mass pvp game where Level and gear matters is terrible. There is a huge reason why other mmo's have a balancing to there PVP. So I will play my game till its beat but I will get rid of it right after because the experience I've had in the Dark Zone was utter **** Better to stick to Destiny least they did they're research on how to execute a proper MMO.
I hope I don't prevent people from playing this could be gem but if you plan to play solo or with maybe 1 other friend then move on this game is NOT for you. Thank you for reading my review and I hope this helps out in any way.

I mean, to throw a grenade (in real time in a gun fight), you have to press the button, get the curser to where you want and press the same button again. After some time we are all quite capable of judging where it will land so let’s just press the button once. The smallest of ledges require a button to jump over. Yes the graphics and scale of the map are great but is this what gets people coming back to play a game again and again. No, it’s gameplay. Tons of people are still playing MW2, and it’s not for the graphics. Look at Rainbow 6 Siege multiplayer, I defy anyone to say that this is quality online gameplay, it’s dreadful. Developers are always seeking to improve things, and rightly so, it just seems that improvements are all about more, more controls, larger maps, more options, more guns (some of which are really the same in this game) etc. COD has not been improved in the slightest for the jumping, running along walls addition, this is just an add on for the sake of change. I played Division last night and when we had to kill the female boss, my friend just stayed way back and shot a few bullets at a time into her as she run back and forth along the balcony bit. Rather like playing MGS a decade ago. All this, of course, is just my opinion; however I think the sayings “bigger is not always better” and “less is sometimes more”, well applies to the modern online games we are seeing. Expand

I played it during 8 Hours , and found absolutly nothing to do after grinding for hours and running in the the dark zone .

All missions are litteraly the same ( clean this area , go there and press A )

Let's put this clear , this game is all about grinding again and over again . The storyline is non-existent . The graphics are probably the worst i've seen for a AAA games of this budget, and the PC port is just ridiculous ( can't get decent framerate with 980ti )

It's obvious this game was downgraded from the ground up , that's is to say not only the graphics were set to be poor , but the gameplay too.
The idea was clearly to match Destiny , with a game that could adress toward as much people as possible.

Weapon modding is really really cool, but seriously , why the hell can you add a suppresor to a Machine Gun ?

The weapon are absolutly unbalanced , sniper is the perfect weapon while classic riffle take thousand of bullet to kill a single enemy.

The darkzone is the worst concept i've seen .
Basically you end up in 1 vs 30 match if you hit someone by accident or if try to have fun by going "rogue" with the whole map running at you with no chance to survive .

This make me laugh when people say the dark zone is a good concept. It's a lazy as f*ck concept so that Massive don't have to write a match making system , capture the flag or deatch match gameplay.

I honnestly think massive wasn't ready at all for this game . Seriously those guy did "Just Dance Now" ... i don't think this was possibly enaugh to do a AAA from scratch.

This game tries too hard to copy Destiny and to hide it .

If you like , deep and complex game , just avoid this garbage.
If you like grinding , stupid gameplay , and loot based game, you're going to love The Division !

Also, it takes a full 2 clips of ammo to take down “easy” rioters that can kill you in 2 shots. How can gamers can possibly give this game a low ratings when it has all the elements we've been asking for? Is there room for improvement, of course. The missions can get redundant and there is definitely a "grinding" feel to it after awhile (I'm only a 22 so I haven't seen the end game but I get it when people use that criticism). I am at least a solid 100 hours into the game and see no reason why I will be stopping any time soon. At its core, the actual gameplay is fun, and the heaviness/feel of the character is good. Both the PVE and PVP systems are engaging. I've even hit a point where a little material grinding is necessary to continue my progression but I don't mind it because it is in an ever-changing dark zone where I have to continually be alert. The developers seem to be very tuned in to the community and the first major patch about two weeks after release fixed some serious issues with the dark zone which was a godsend and the right thing to do -- which also gives me hope that these devs are willing to admit where they made mistakes and continue molding the game to be the most fun experience. You can't upgrade your character -too- quickly, and stat min/max'ing will keep the hardcore players busy for hundreds of hours.

Is the game perfect? No. Is the game a 10/10? Yes.

But to unlock this location I needed to complete all the tasks located in my spot, however it was simply impossible to choose any task! There is no legend on the map informing you about sidequests, events, etc. - you're just running around the city like a complete idiot wasting your time. And you really don't have a clue what to do. I completed the first mission 3 times just to level up hoping something will unlock, but nooo! Generic, boring, badly design, worst game in YEARS! Oh, the creators came up with an "awesome" idea - you cannot kill an enemy with even 2 or 3 headshots - even though you're using a machine gun. Yup, that makes sense! People have been locked out of this game for weeks with little to no word from ubi. These people also had hard earned gear deleted from their characters. This glitch was apparently cause by crafting a backpack (so they clearly did not test their game very well).

All in all, this is still a beta game at best.

The game, while beautifully recreating a post-pandemic (it is not post-apocalyptic folks) New York looks great left me with less enthusiasm and more outrage. I did my time with Destiny and was hoping for a similar experience, granted Destiny Vanilla was frustrating for most at least the game felt different depending on your playstyle and your loadout. The Division, while possibly better looking to some (I prefer/remember Destiny having a bigger impact for me) offers little in variation. Sure you have your skill-trees but everything else plays the same. The only difference in weapons are automatic, shotgun, marksman rifle or pistol. I got to level 15 and felt no difference in my armory. Visually your character looks roughly the same throughout, and the character design is very limited for a self-proclaimed RPG. On top of that the missions that I completed were repetitive and the NPC's were all the same annoying characterization of angry New Yorkers. It was grating. I was completely disappointed by the process and managed to return my copy luckily. Wait a year, and then buy this game. Maybe then it will live up to the hype because currently the Darkzone is busted (check out Forbes for a great article on that) and they've of course put up a huge paywall of DLC which is the norm now. Enemies are just bullet sponges which i understand is what all rpgs are at their core , but I'm sorry dumping a belt of .308 out of an M60 into anybody, body armor or not, will turn you into pulp. Which as you progress becomes a repetitive, agonizing, chore. Hell you're lucky if some of them even flinch after dumping a magazine into their skull. On top of that the storyline missions are the only unique things in the entire game every side mission and encounter are the same damn thing in each zone. Playing solo honestly feels punishing at times, like the game designers strictly intended for you to play this with at least one friend or not at all. Why? Because when you're going up against a heavily armored elite enemy nothing slows them down except flashbangs. So when they bullrush you, which most of the elites do, running is almost as bad as as just standing there and dumping bullets into them and taking everything they got. Character progression is horribly implemented as all of your abilities, perks and talents are received from upgrading your base. This wouldn't be bad if it wasn't for the fact that you have no control how you receive the different wing upgrade points, which in the beginning is mostly medical meaning if you want to run with tech or security settings you have to progress through more than half of the game to really get into them. Then there's your level which is pretty much pointless as per its only real purpose is to limit the gear you can wear. So even though hardcores who defended that this game wasn't Destiny even before an alpha or beta was released, it is and it has all the same pitfalls Destiny had. Honestly, without the fantasy element that Destiny has this game is going to dead end quick, I mean if the government quarantined a deadly outbreak and containment got this bad realistically they would eventually just have to cut their losses and eradicate the infection. Even if the game moves to world wide epidemic the world would be like "The Last of Us" kind of vacant. Then there's the endgame content which is the dark zone which isn't and has no "raid" area it's just a bunch or random mobs that if you go in solo can easily out number and overrun you, on top of the problem of other players ganking you and stealing your hard earned loot. I'm sorry but if i'm going to spend hours grinding elites and can lose it all by dying to elites or other player before getting it extracted than no thank you i'm out. Few, so few rpgs rob you of loot in your inventory upon death and limit your option of using it on pickup, especially endgame loot, that i'm not really sure how anyone thought this was a good idea. And it's not just loot your DZ rank which limits what chests you can open is lost when you die which is just so stupid. This really just goes back to the game designers punishing you for not playing with friends which i get that this game is an mmo but, getting people together for hours of grinding with no real goal for endgame content is a joke. Character creation is a joke and changing gear has little or no effect to your appearance. The cloths appearance options are a joke as most of the stuff i've found are just very slight differences from each other. It really just feels like ubisoft just took what Destiny was doing and tried to cash in on it with a slightly different twist. The metacritic review seems like it was bought as per even ign didn't give this game as high of a rating. The farther you get in this game the less it feels like you're progressing even when constantly upgrading your gear the enemies just seem to take longer to kill and unflinchingly laugh at your well placed bullets. Oh and let's not forget about the randomly peppered land mines you constantly run into when you're nowhere near enemies that you have to waste a medkit on if you even get skimmed by it because of the bleed damage. Or go threw the horribly mapped item wheel to use a debuff cleans item which the items and grenades wheels are horrible to use under pressure. And the items, those are pretty much useless never touched the damn things. Some of the the abilities like the homing mine that chases people down and then explodes before it actually reaches them or the turret which sometimes decides to not shoot at anything are also pretty damn annoying. Just super disappointed by this game and wish my friend hadn't demanded we get this so we could play together. Expand

Although there are a few glitches in the game, it is to be expected but updates will solve these issues. While playing this game, I actually feel like a jason bourne type of agent. This is a deep mmo shooter rpg with a lot of content, unlockables, outfits, mods, weapon types, leveling skills.
The main thing that I love about it, is that it is a tactical shooter. Spray and pray will not help you. You need to use your surroundings to your advantage and there are different ways to conquer your foes. You can climb your way up on scaffoldings and shoot from above. If you are in a team of players/npcs you can also flank your enemy while your allies draw aggro. It's very similar to gears of war in that sense.
The only thing that dissapoints me with this game is the character customisation at the start. It is very limited for an rpg game. You have a few customised faces, and just a few hairstyles and facial hair types. The tattoos are only on the neck and the war paints are basic. You can't even choose your body type (I wanted to be a muscle bound guy). Secondly, You have these emoticon things (applaud, salute, clap, ask for help and jumping jacks). Now why the hell would you have jumping jacks?! Couldn't we have something cool like pushups??
Anyway, the game is still in its infancy and knowing ubisoft, there will be plenty of updates and dls.
My advice to you is get the game. It's worth every penny

The game is a great 3rd person shooter mechanics wise, everything feels good, from taking voer, shooting, switching guns or even throwing grenades or using a skill. Difficulty is solid with Destiny like options to increase difficulty for better loot. The game has a decent amount of content, easily more than Destiny at launch, but clearly the game will potentially be even better with more content in general, it's a good thing, IMO< the game leaves you craving more, and the have planned DLC's the next three months.

The Story is average but the world and graphics are top notch.

The best part for me is the PVP zone, the dark zone, intense fights with high end ads and intense extractions make for some of the best, most unique experiences you'll find.

So for me, that's what makes a game great, Like a fresh love, you can't stop thinking about.

Just some remarks on reviews from other players:
    - Lifeless world: when your city is being destroyed by a lethal virus and being controlled by flamethrowing gangs, ready to incinerate you.. If I'm somehow still alive, I wouldn't be ropeskipping across town. So the city not being overrun with NPC's, isn't anything but normal in these conditions? It contributes to the overall atmosphere for me.
    - Bulletsponge enemies: It is a RPG. Every other RPG I've played had the same style of killing the enemy. P.e. Barret (FF 7) didn't kill enemies with a single head shot, so why would this be happening now? It is a RPG and plays like a RPG. So you can't really complain about it, I think. Anyhow, when fighting enemies of the same level as me, I've never had to put more then 1 clip into an enemiy or 2 headshots with my sniperrifle.

I've played about 18hours, only level 16 but had much fun just walking around and seeing where the game takes me. Random encounters, doing some missions. After 18 hours I've only scratched the surface.
I still have to start in the DZ and with the announcement of other DLC, I may have to resign my job, to keep up...

I play mostly solo and it's great. I've tried co-op with 2 friends and it was even better. Looking forward to the DZ which was great in the beta.

Just my 2 cents and mostly to rectify a little the major complaints I've heard about the game. Again, it's a RPG, taking place in a city, being destroyed by a virus and controlled by vicious gangs. It is what it is.

Even the NPCs that wander around looking ill and in need of aid, made me run past looking for the next enemy to shoot in a surprisingly sparse streets of New York. Overall, it may be the immense hype that made me give it a lower score, but I have already traded it in, looking for something else that could keep me interested. Expand

Just OK shooter. Much better story than Destiny. Repetitive, same enemies over and over. Ai seems to be inconsistent, some enemies act smart getting the drop on you while others are completely stupid. Graphics are really beautiful. It's a decent shooter but their is not much new here.

The Division is a highly addicting experience. I found myself playing it longer than I am willing to admit. I've only played the game by myself, and I like it that way because it makes completing missions more challenging. Aside from the lack of customization to your character, there are lots to customize to your weapons. The story is interesting but not really engaging. This game is a re-hash of any single player, open world Ubisoft game that borrows from many different successful games (Borderlands, The Last of Us, Gears of War) but thoroughly feels like a Destiny clone. The story was very dull, and once level cap is reached there is nothing to do besides more missions that are exactly the same. IF YOU LOVE SHOOTERS, BUY A DIFFERENT GAME.

This is better then destiny at launch. And that is saying a lot, as how that game first came out. The game is just fun to play. It lacks the solid FPS controls of destiny, but thats probably cause its not a FPS. It a third person shooter rpg. And rpg being right up there. You play to get stronger.

The enemy AI can be very challenging. And for those that played beta and complained about not enough enemies... Ya happy now?! You bastards. LOL They will destroy you. Doesn't matter what level you are. You have to use your head and in a age where seem not to have time to do that, this game is gem.

Very enjoyable game and well crafted setting. Surprisingly complex as you can't go guns blazing even in the smallest fire fight.
You always get to play with people if you want to and there is plenty to do in the map.
    Highly recommended.

People giving this game a 0 are BUTTS. No game in history deserves a 0. This game rocks and people that didn't read up on the game before they invested should give themselves a 0. It's like destiny with more loot drops and loads of weapons. I read most of these negative reviews and I can tell that they didn't spend a lot of time learning the talents, perks, etc, and what they are goodPeople giving this game a 0 are BUTTS. I played a lot of Destiny but it got to a point where it felt like I was going to work everyday instead of playing a game. Division DarkZone is fun and will have you watching your back every time you enter. This game is fun with a party but you can play in the alone if you want. 9/10 Expand

The game is better than I expected. It would be much better if my friends were playing it with me, but all together it is a good experience alone.....

The Division bring Massive-Multiplayer Online shooter, to an insane Open-World scale's of NYC (mostly Manhattan). What really makes The Division stays great, is the extreme tone of it's shooting and cover system gameplay. If there is a Single-Player Campaign that don't required Internet connection, I will love this game so much...

An overwhelmingly bland offering by Ubisoft. Perfectly serviceable in its mediocrity, The Division will neither offend nor amaze. Destined to go the way of Evolve or Titanfall, The Division will have its moment in the sun to then see its user base drop off sharply and then be promptly forgotten about.

It won't win converts to the genre and the plot is problematic, but The Division is a handsome open-world offering, spiked with treachery. [May 2016, p.81]

That's the essential nature, and essential problem, of The Division's underlying structure. It's asking you to hunt gear with no tangible reward in terms of what you can do, how you do it, or what you look like doing it. [May 2016, p.108]

It builds a strong foundation on the gameplay front, offering up rewarding combat and simple skills, but doesn’t follow that with anything substantial, being content to let the standard end game grind and excellent-yet-stressful PVP try to cover all the questions its writing leaves you with.
