    This game (at least for me) had some potential in it. Gameplay in general is fun, but sometimes is pretty repetitive, the graphics are amazing (best I've seen since Uncharted 4 in 2016 and Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018), music is pretty good but it's really hard to notice it in-game, and the story, well, it's very weak to me. It didn't even get close to the first one, which was kinda of aThis game (at least for me) had some potential in it. Killed off Joel for shock value. his death meant nothing.... zero with no impact at all just complete disrespect and forced us to play with a character we all hate..... Abby for the whole second half of the game when we don’t care and introduces a little random bald kid who becomes her sidekick. They made Ellie unsure of herself and not committed to her true goal and it was all for nothing, everything we do during the whole game is ultimately for nothing and Ellie is just alone and broken in the end with such a generic message of the overall game that “revenge is bad” blah blah blah. И если вы все же возьмёте и пройдёте игру на Survivor'е, то тут вы познакомитесь и с захватывающими схватками, где вам в придётся использовать всё, что попадает под руку, дабы пережить бой; и с проработанным до мелочей стелсом, где вам надо будет использовать всю вашу смекалку, чтобы незамеченным пройти на следующую локацию; и с отличной прокачкой оружия и навыков, которая и бонусом наградит, и игровой процесс преобразит.
    Плюсом, за всю игру я не встретился ни с одним багом. Здесь отдельный респект для Naughty Dog.
    Теперь пару слов про сюжет и идейность проекта. Сюжетом я доволен. История очень выразительная и эмоциональная. Но в тоже время я столкнулся с некоторыми нелогичностями в сюжете, которые меня огорчили. И честно сказать, я не хочу их обсуждать. Но факт остается фактом, эти эпизоды нелогичности все еще есть в игре, и думаю вас они тоже разочаруют. Но эти эпизоды кажутся совсем незначительными, если сравнивать их со стержнем сюжета - историей о мести. Я обожаю финал The last of us part two, он великолепен и дарит те эмоции, которые я даже не думал испытать.
    В итоге, я очень люблю эту игру, но десятку я ей не дам, так как она не идеал сюжетной игры. Но TLOU 2 очень близка к этому идеалу и поэтому 9/10.    … Expand

In the first place, it's amazing that any bit of code touched by hundreds of programmers, artists, actors, etc, even turns into a playable mass. Most of the '0' reviews on here are hatred-filled joke reviews written by people who I very much doubt even touched the game. It's sad to see, for example, voice actors literally being sent death threats over their part in the game. The only people at fault here are the game directors and writers; but even they do not deserve most of what a loud angry minority of gamers are giving them. If you dislike the story, that's fine. However, that does not mean the people behind the game deserve to 'kill themselves' or 'have their dog be raped' or whatever. Now that that's out of the way; let's begin. I loved this game. AND I loved the first game. I understand gamer's dislike of Joel being killed off right at the beginning of the game. I understand not liking being forced to play as Abby for half of the runtime. I understand disliking the depressing and revenge-filled storyline. Why am okay with all of this? Because that's what you're supposed to feel. You're supposed to feel robbed when Joel died. You're supposed to have to hate Abby when you get control of her. Because at the end of the journey, this game is not about making you happy. It's not some teenager fan fiction. It's a **** apocalypse. Everything gets taken away from Ellie. We experience that in a painstaking, difficult, tragic 10-15 hours. We hate Abby, hate what's she done, what's she's ruined. And then we get put in her shoes, and find Ellie doing the same exact thing we hate Abby for. The entire runtime of the game is spent seeking what Ellie thinks is revenge, and at the end of it, we see where it leaves us. It leaves us with nothing. With nothing but an empty feeling inside. In a world filled with death and despair, we find that the whole game isn't spent trying to fix all of it like we thought, but instead about causing more of it. We find that revenge wasn't the end game. Revenge was found in the first hour, with the death of Joel. Everything after that? A desperate attempt to find meaning in life. Ellie's meaning of living was the cure. That didn't work. She turned to revenge. It didn't work. Marriage and family? It also didn't work. She didn't find happiness. And neither should we, playing this game. Yes, everything gets taken away from Ellie, and it's sad and it sucks, and it feels like it's stepping all over the first game. But what we fail to realize, is that everything was taken away from Abby first, from the Fireflies, in the first game. In fact, the 'most fair' situation in the whole series? It's right after Joel died. Abby got her father taken away from her, and so Ellie got her's taken right back. The Last of Us: Part II isn't a revenge story. It's what it is: An apocalypse. One where no one ends happy. That's the point of the story Naughty Dog is telling. It seems unfair Joel gets taken away from Ellie, but at the same time, it's unfair that Jerry, Owen, Mel, Manny, Yara, Nora, etc all get taken away from Abby. It's a sad and depressing story. It shows us life isn't always fair. And that's what's beautiful about it.… Expand

There is was this one part when I should feel sad when something happened to a character I loved, but game progressed so fast that I even didnt have second for it. And the memory of the character got dumped.

    Controversial story, especially for those who played the first game, but if you consider this is still a game not movie or book, it is pretty good. Gameplay is still very enjoyable, but it seems to be a little bit repetitive comparative to first game. And a little bit too much walking from wall to wall :).

The gameplay sucks, the story and the characters themselves are ridiculous **** This rubbish film practically has no history and focuses almost totally on lesbian kisses (one of them being Jewish even though her actress is not, they did it simply for "representativeness"), on muscular women and Joel giving the ass for some coffee crumbs. And by the way, as if that weren't enough, Joel, the only good character in this movie, died in the most RIDICULOUS way possible, without any emotion, so that in the end Ellie would forgive Abby. And also, Ellie in this game is a big unbearable whore and **** with a totally retarded, unpleasant, grotesque and unnecessary personality.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Eu nunca vi um jogo tão bem construído e bonito como esse, juro. Não é á toa que ganhou o GOTY, não é mesmo? Primeiro: antes que venha qualquer preconceituoso chorar que a Ellie é uma mina lesbica, a Dina uma mina bi e o Lev (meu baby) um menino transgênero, esse é um ponto pequeno e não interfere, literalmente, EM NADA no jogo, quem eles beijam ou deixam de beijar ou a forma que eles se identificam não altera em nada no jogo, inclusive, representam MUITO, e o fato de vocês ficarem chorando e usarem isso como justificativa para dizer que o jogo é ruim só prova o quão tóxica a comunidade gamer consegue ser.
    Agora seguimos para o que importa: a construção dos personagens e a história.
    Todos, sem exceção nenhuma, TODOS os personagens são aprofundados e, você pode não concordar com as ações deles, mas você consegue entender perfeitamente o motivo de terem feito isso. Aí a gente entra na Abby: foi certo ela matar o Joel? Teoricamente, não, mas da pra entender o porquê dela fazer isso. Assim como a Abby não fez o “certo”, o Joel também teve sua ação duvidosa ao sair atirando em todo mundo naquele hospital sem esperar uma consequência como essa, e a Ellie também teve sua ação duvidosa ao abandonar a sua família (recém construída) para ir atrás da Abby. Como eu disse, não concordei com a maioria das ações deles, mas entendia porque achavam que isso era o certo a se fazer. Uma coisa a Neil Druckmann deixa bem claro desde o começo do jogo: se você quer um jogo cheio de fanservice, você está no jogo errado. Ele não tem medo algum de matar personagens favoritos ou importantes.
    Acho que o maior (e talvez único) problema de TLOU Part II foi ter sido vendido como um jogo de vingança, quando na verdade ele mostra que esse não é o caminho. Conseguimos ver que Abby não se orgulha (apesar de achar merecido) da forma que matou Joel, além disso, é visível que mata-lo não ajudou o seu trauma, só tirou MUITA coisa dela, e nisso eu me refiro a TODOS os seus amigos. O mesmo se da com a Ellie, na busca por vingança ela também acaba perdendo tudo (e dois dedos). Inclusive, é na sua ultima luta com abby que a Ellie percebe que mata-la não vai curar seu trauma e caso fizesse, o ciclo do ódio continuaria (quem garante que o Lev não iria atrás da Ellie caso ela matasse sua única companheira?) A historia do jogo é extremamente detalhada e a cada vez que jogo novamente reparo em/descubro coisas novas não percebidas antes. O que dizer, né? Perfeito.
    Sobre a morte do Joel: entendo que muitos jogadores tenham se decepcionado com a morte dele, mas se tem uma coisa que vocês não podem dizer é que foi um personagem jogado fora. Joel matou MILHARES de pessoas para chegar até o hospital com a Ellie e quando chegou matou TODO MUNDO ali, inclusive a líder do grupo (sendo até um dos possíveis motivos da extinção dos vagalumes) e era de se esperar que alguém fosse atrás dele, seria irrealista se depois de tudo que ele fez, saísse isento. Galerinha, entendam: TODA a história de TLOU Part II gira em torno do Joel, da morte dele e os traumas que ele causou, tanto matando o pai da Abby, quanto em morrendo (para a Ellie), além disso quando a jogamos com a Ellie somos LOTADOS de flashbacks com ele e conversas sobre ele. A morte dele não foi em vão, foi o que fez tudo que aconteceu no jogo acontecesse (fez o jogo rodar).
    Bom, acho que é isso. Escrevi para um caralho, porque não é possível que tenha gente ignorante o suficiente para não entender esse jogo ou detesta-lo por conta da morte um personagem que recebe homenagens o JOGO INTEIRO ou então pela sexualidade/identidade de outros personagens (maravilhosos).

    Всем привет, прошёл полностью 1 и 2 часть. Игра шедевр, главное не попасться на спойлеры, не обрашайте на ЛГБТ, оно там не главное. Игра не для слабонервных, много насилия и убийств. Рекомендую

    One of the best stories I ever played, it really takes you on an emotional ride and at the end you learn something new about yourself. The game could've had more puzzles and the gameplay could be a little more varied but all in all a very very great game for what it wants to be.

Last of us 2 had the potential to do all that but sadly Last of us 2 misses this completely. Story - told in a way to cause outrage and manipulate your feelings, why not play as abbey form start get her story and then you get involved. Because of way story works I hated playing as her from the start and rushed her story because I just wanted to kill her. Then the ending is no split decision you just walk off, the choice is taken, and the pure double standards the game message gives you- so revenge is ok if it’s done by a female on a male she can go on and have a lovely time and not be effected , but if you try revenge on that you’ll be broken and shattered makes no sense and writers should be ashamed of themselves for ruining what was one of the greatest legacies. Visually - superb probably the most beautiful game I’ve played on PS4 just a shame I hated playing every second of it due to the story.

    Gameplay- well it’s not a buggy mess like so many games out today and was good to play where I wasn’t rushing through a story about characters I didn’t care about but there was no brand new innovation. Lack of new ideas here. Conclusion - I want a refund. Like it’s predecessor it lacked new ideas and relied on its story, unlike its predecessor the story instead of making it a great game completely ruined the game. To give this game the meta score in its 90’s has me worried for the future of the gaming industry. If it didn’t have the predecessor it had it would have scored a 3/5 because it does it drops a point for **** all over it’s legacy.    … Expand

    Para mi una obra de arte, te engancha desde el primer minuto, lo comparo con una buena serie, donde no puedes dejar de ver un capítulo tras otro, tardé en jugarlo por las malas opiniones, pero una vez jugado y pasado, para mi el mejor juego e historia que he jugado nunca y llevo jugando desde la Play1.
    Quien tenga dudas o miedo, que lonuuegue por que es toda una experiencia.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part 2 is the one of the most polarizing games in the history of video games. It has many positive things going for it, but this however is let down slightly by some questionable storyline decisions. I first played TLOU2 back in June when it first released, and after a recent revisit, I feel like I can finally sum up my experience with this game.

    Firstly, the positive, LOU2 graphically is 150% the most impressive looking game that we have seen on the PS4 hardware and can even compete with the PS5 graphically, the fact ND were able to craft such a beautiful game on the PS4, when other developers sometimes struggle, speaks volumes of their talents as game designers and nobody denies the game in this area. Secondly, the gameplay, while it lacks innovation, it still works smoothly and reminds me of how fun the first games gameplay was also and enough has changed where to me it feels different to the first game, the stealth aspect is what shines the most especially on the harder difficulties and adding a prone position, although small, did a lot in terms of how you can approach areas. You can move through areas of human enemies without lifting a weapon or you can massacre absolutely everyone, which in a sense can add replay ability to the game. I enjoyed the addition of Dina and Jesse in this game and thought they added some light-hearted moments in a game drenched in dread and of course the return of Ellie and Joel was welcome with open arms. All of the performances of all the actors were great even Abby.

    Speaking of Abby, let me get on to the negatives present in this game that refer to the storyline, now Abby herself is not the issue for me, its how the story structure and pacing was handled that holds me back from giving this game higher then a 7, lets speak on one of everyone's main issue, Joel's death, for me Joel dying wasn't the issue, due to his actions in the first game his death was coming, what was the issue was how he died and I believe ND took small liberties with the writing of Joel to push the plot, as his behaviour in death was nothing like the Joel we know, you could argue it was because he lived sheltered for 5 years, however, he lived as a survivalist for 20 years and in my opinion someone that experienced a life like that for 20 years could absolutely sense when something was up and wouldn't have played dumb like Joel did in LOU2, he's supposed to die, but i think I would of preferred if he went down fighting, but enough of that. in terms of structure Abby's part being around 10 hours after Joel's death was a problem for me as it really dampened my experience with her as the image of her over standing over Joel was in my head constantly as i was controlling her, which made me not really care for her story, i feel like making her part first would have changed this as when she kills Joel, Joel's actions towards her Dad would have been on my mind and I would have perhaps found it easier to sympathise with Abby however the way they structured it just made me not care for Abby. another issue with the storyline is when I play 15 hours as Ellie hunting Abby's friends building tension and then we reach a point where they are face to face in the theatre, the game then pulls a 180 and says now play 10 hours as Abby to see this confrontation, meaning now I have to wait 10 hours for to see the part I've been waiting for, this further makes me lose interest in Abby's side of the story as I and I think other players would of tried to rush through it to get back to that point in the theatre making us pay less attention to Abby and at times her side has issues with writing, for example why in the world would her group allow a pregnant Mel to go out in the field once again this is weird and unrealistic especially at how far along she was. once again similarly to Joel's death I feel that this was forced writing so Ellie could kill her later and almost become the villain which was just a questionable to do considering how widely loved Ellie is. The ending is another thing people take issue with as it seems Abby gains a lot and Ellie loses everything, however I liked this ended and interpreted it as Ellie has made peace with her vengeance and is moving on. although I thoroughly enjoyed Ellies part of the story i would have liked the story more and gave a better rating if it Abby's story was structured and written better, to achieve the goal of ND and make us sympathise with her, however the way they did it the story fails to do this.

    To close TLOU 2, is an enjoyable game with many qualities I love in terms of graphics, gameplay and some characters, but ultimately the story falls slightly flat due to issues with structure and writing which is more present in Abby's story.

    I will finish with this, TLOU 2 does not hold a candle to the first game.    … Expand

    Great play which is produced very little. Excellent production, the sound of nature and whistles, the plot and interesting characters that you empathize with (at the end, crying). Of the minuses, not enough action is not particularly fun shootout when you have 10 bullets in your pocket, and you yourself understand what thoughts were promoted through the game.

    One of the bests games I ever played. It is, in my opinion, very good to great in all aspects, including the story. The graphics are fantastic (best I've seen in PS4), the music, the plot twists and the different points of view. I really don't understand how can someone give it a low score or bad review.

    Yes it is sad, no I didn't want to play Abby. Still, when you get a little open-minded, you get the message they wanted to make. If it was like the first game, people would have whine and now its different but people still whine.

    I would like to say that as a game, it was fairly standard. A cover shooter with some stealth that feels fine to play, though melee combat is very clunky and feels poor. A dodge button is only used when the enemy attacks, otherwise you just press the same button and watch your character beat the enemy up without effort.

    Gunplay is normal, an acceptable level of fun to be had when shooting enemies. The guns are varied enough and the sounds are very well done.

    Music is strangely dull. It seemed to feel empty, or without reason. Like playing the main theme to a franchise when nothing is happening, it felt proper only in certain places. It was very good music but just seemed wrong for how empty the game felt.

    The story is so childish. I wonder if it's my culture, but Americans seem to like this kind of story? It won best Narrative, but I don't understand how it could. The villain is so unlikeable, and yet you're made to like them. The hero is made to be a villain, but in a childish way that feels forced. I found I was just annoyed at how silly the story was when I was expecting some kind of masterpiece.

    The acting seemed very good to me, like Hollywood movies or big productions. The story itself felt like someone had written something on a napkin over a few weeks, put it on a refrigerator and said, "Let's make this the story!"

    I'm very disappointed in my purchase. If you are looking for a story game, or an experience, then I would tell you to avoid this game. Unless you are looking for something to make you dislike American writing more, I would stay away.

    If you want a story about revenge, buy God of War, or if you want a story about the bad that comes from revenge, give Red Dead Redemption a try.    … Expand

    1. Bought it on discount on blackfriday and played it in November 2020 on PS5 on 4K TV, therefore enjoyed the best graphics with 0 lags. It's a truly beautiful game.

    2. STORY. It's good. Better than most of the games out there. But not the best. At the first glance, I saw lots of HOLES in the story. But on my second playthrough, I understood some connections that didn't make sense on the first playthrough. Storytelling here is both f***ed up and good

    3. NARRATIVE and CHARACTERS. This is the strongest and part of Last of US. Can't talk about these without spoilers. They let you play as "bad guys". That is a controversy I have never seen previously in the games and it made me rethink the motivations of "bad guys". Got to admit in the beginning I hated so much playing as Abby that didn't even want to invest in her skills. Then fighting Ellie as a boss I wanted Ellie to win... and I see why many players hated the game just because it seems like they want us(players) to care about Abby and her storyline.

    If the beginning of the game wasn't so f***ed up, there is a chance players would care about Abby storyline more. But apparently, Naughty Dog decided to f*** us up. It is BOLD. For that they deserve credit. In a way I can say that it's innovation. I started to question my actions, on whatever I should kill them or not.. But at the end of the day realized that it's just a game... kept on shooting, cutting, blowing and smashing... painting Seatle in red.

    4. Loved parts when Ellie was a teen again with Joel. Especially the museum part. It felt like Joel and Ellie's story again. Wish there was more of it.

    Overall rich experience. Rich with UPs and DOWNs with great potential for further development. Want to see more from Naughty Dog that's why put 10.    … Expand

    I bought this game to play over christmas and new Year and I am very disappointed.
    The coordination and chaos during scenes with Zombies appearing is simply too much, you cant avoid dying and you need to check in which part of the map you need to run.
    It reminds me of old Dragons lair where you needed also to die 100 times to learn which path to follow. Last but not least the Homosexual    I bought this game to play over christmas and new Year and I am very disappointed.

For some reason, the game wants you to like abey more than Ellie, and to top it all off they kill JOEL, yes the MAIN character from the first game is KILLED immediately. you play as him for only FIVE MINUTES. I'm disappointed in naughty dog for ruining the game for me, I loved the first game and everything that made it so good is missing from this game. They could have made a good trilogy by having abey as a friend in the start of the game and then having her turn on you and kill joel because he killed her dad. That's how the game should've went and then the third game would've been Ellie going after abey and being at war with her and her friends. Even the ending is stupid. You finally find abey and have the chance to kill her but the game won't allow you to kill her which makes the whole game pointless. If abey had killed my friends there would be no hesitation in killing her. Ellie's friends died so she can kill abey, she even left her girlfriend and own child behind to go kill abey. So she loses everything to kill abey but doesn't kill abey. So she lost everything for no reason. she gave up her own family for no reason. So you're left unsatisfied because you wanted abey to die but you can't kill her. Please do not but this game especially if you're a huge fan of the first game.… Expand

    The only good thing about the game is the graphics. The story was both boring, and politically twisted, doesn't deserve a single award, and we all know it. You could've atleast given choices to the player. Hell, I'd take the buggiest Cyberpunk 2077 copy over this piece of hot garbage in a heartbeat.
