    The whole game is very depressing, as a player of TLOU, I can not accept the strange changes in in-game roles' character. Joel, Ellie, and Tommy as if they are completely different from TLOU. The worst part is having to play Abby for half of this game, which makes me want to throw up eventually.

    Last of us was a beloved title, people waited long time for the part 2 to released, before and when the game released there is large amount of ad on facebook instagram youtube twitter almost every social media outlet is promoting how good is this game is; how can i miss out such a big game right?
    first night of the game i already second thought myself, it this really for me (gamer) ? or this is for someone from naughty dog who has his/her political or LGBT community to tell us their feeling?
    our main character of this game Ellie is a lesbian, fine to me, i dont really give a big deal of it.
    our beloved character got torture to dead by the girl he saved in the first hour of the game. (WTF??!! but ok, maybe there is more into the story, we see)
    Ellie was mad on his father because his father saved her from killing her to make a vaccine?? (WTF, all the father in the world will do the same!!! by the father of two)
    Ending, Ellie let Abby go free because revenge is wrong?!?!?! are you fuking kidding me? after all your best friends, your father, your father's best friend all got killed; after u long way on the road, u just killed like 100 people to get to abby you think revenge is wrong and let her go? am i crazy here or whoever create this crap is insane!

Amo como cuentan todo, estoy entendiendo todo desde el punto de Abby, y la verdad es muy entendible como nos quieren mostrar los dos lados de la historia. Lo que llevo a Joel a rescatar a Ellie pero sin pensar que esta hiriendo a miles de personas. Es muy justificable todo lo que sucedio en la historia ya que tiene un por qué.
    Ame como se va desarrollando de a poco, como traen los momentos lindos de Ellie con Joel. También como muestran el lado de Abby con su padre.

    Bad story written by arrogant writers, who are definitely coward racists who only dare to make joke on asians. This “game” composed of awful character designs and ridiculous storylines. Since Naughty Dog treat players like idiots, a ZERO is what you get.

    There was definitely time, effort and passion put into this game. Its just..the turns the story takes..I just don't understand. Anyone can be a victim of circumstance. That lesson was taught and explored with The Last of Us Part 1. I'm just lost as to what exactly the take-away with the narrative is suppose to be and I believe many others feel the same.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game represents the beginning of the agony this beloved industry will suffer if we let it to. It is used as political weapon. The wining of massage over fiction quality. About the game itself, it does a terrible job trying to make us feel empathy towards the majority of the new characters, specially the new protagonist abby, as it tell us her motivation after she wins our hate. As for the original characters, the game deconstruct them with the only purpose of making us realize they deserve every bad thing they suffer, expect for the new cast. They act and feel like completely different personas. The journey is a cliché with an unsatisfying end. It is forced, its moral is empty. The story will constantly try to tell you you’re walking a wrong path, that what you’re doing is wrong, but at the same time it forces you to do all those horrible things. It spit in your mouth and demands for an apologize. As for the gameplay: the mechanics are something you already experienced on the first entry but in an almost perfect technical peak, being the “body to ground” mechanic the most interesting of all and a very useful one most of the times. The jump button goes from useless to ridiculous. The combat is extremely fluid and realistic. The AI is remarkable and works very well, but it can fell in being played by repeating the same movements and trick. The enemies won’t react realistically about allies being attacked and killed in front of them. The lack of new enemies is disappointing indeed, it focuses to much on human enemies and factions. The weapons are very reduce (six per character) and the customization is not as complex as it seems. In general the game will show you everything it can offer in the first hours, falling into a repetitive gameplay. As for the graphics and level design: It is sublime, the graphics (although many effects like the lightning and volumetric fog are missing in the retail) are as beautiful as you can expect. The environments are an achievement in artistic design as they truly make you feel in a world where nature is reclaiming civilization’s graveyard. The covers are way more organic and don’t look or feel as artificial as they did in the first game. This sequel wasn’t required, we didn’t needed. We were lied many times in the pre-release, and we were disrespected by ND team for not agreeing with well based concerns about its development. The legacy of the first game was killed of in a pathetic way of subverting expectations. In few words, the mo st important aspect of this title is its story, and it’s full of flaws, everything else is good and beautiful. But it’s not a 10/10 masterpiece, that i’m afraid is out of discussion.… Expand

    I have to be honest, I haven't heard of this "series" since last month. However, The Last Of Us did make me fell in love with its graphic, combat scenes, and of course its well-written story. There has never been lack of stories talking about people after an apocalypse, The Last of Us is one of those who stand out.     Llevo 5 horas jugadas y me está encantando. Mucho más que la primera parte. Y además los gráficos son geniales. La historia me encanta. No entiendo por qué tanta crítica negativa. Estoy segura que es por aparecer personajes LGTB. STOP HOMOFOBIA.

All the low ratings are done purposely to slate the game for literally no reason other than big gay moments, Joel's death, the fact you have to play as Abby or that the ending doesn't suffice. I will agree, everything post Seattle is a bit hit or miss, the story after Ellie and Abby's fight is a bit rough around the edges and seems rushed. The gameplay is amazing, better than the first games in my opinion, the graphics are stunning. Arguably some of the best facial animation and blood physics I've seen in recent years. Everyone saying the story is bad have hardly even played the game or played through the game with the mindset of the game being **** because of leaks and prerelease reviews. There's a huge hate train for this game and I really don't like the fact it exists. People who haven't even played the first game or know anything about the games are leaving bad reviews because other people are and it's stupid. I for one think this game is amazing, I don't think I prefer it over the first game but it's still a really good game and probably my favourite PS4 release overall… Expand

    I wanted to like this so much as i loved the first game. Unfortantly its terrible. And not for any of the reason that the anti lgbtq folks are bothered about. The gameplay is so repetitive I had a really hard time getting past that. Also it feels exactly like the first game but with better graphics. There are so many failed attempts and ideas here.

    I hated every moment in the game playing as Abby and the game forced to me to play as character I don't like and do some **** things.
    I didn't pay to play as Abby. Gameplay was monotonous. Gets boring at some point. Storyline is trash. I was completely dissatisfied after playing the ending.

Y por último el final mas desastroso que el desarrollo de la propia historia. Good things are the visuals and gameplay , but all this sjw agenda for me it destroyed the whole experience the only character that i identify got savagely killed in the beginning and the other normal straight character got killed to , both by a lesbian male looking like , joel was the strong guy on the game and ellie the delicate but good with accuracy and joel is replaced by this lesbian character that looks bulky and male, i dont have anything against females being protagonist on a game but this is just enough is toxic sjw , the game was ruined for me i will finish it yes but i am already disappointed i find naughty dog failed by introducing this kind of characters into their franchises… Expand

    This game is abysmally bad. It has one of the worst stories ever written in gaming and completely crippled and destroyed the amazing characters from the first game. Also, the marketing for this game was borderline false advertising. Definitely do not buy this game and if you've unfortunately bought it already, make sure to refund it.

You play as Ellie until they kill off Joel. Then they get you to spend the next 10 hours playing as a very manly female character that killed Joel. Those 10 hours I just wanted this character to die the whole time and I grew 0 connection to her. Finally at the end of the story Ellie is going to get her revenge....and she wusses out and let's her go for some reason. The story was horrible. Everything else was good, but the story is supposed to be the best part about naughty dog games.… Expand

    For starters, this is the best looking game I have ever played on the PS4.     For starters, this is the best looking game I have ever played on the PS4. This is one thing that everyone should agree on because the game truly does look incredible, especially the facial animations.
    The game play is fun. I enjoy the stealth game play from both the first game, and this one. Every single encounter feels intense and dangerous because resources are so scarce. This means that you must take every encounter seriously if you want to keep your supplies and stay alive. I will admit that the aiming is wonky and annoying to use, but after a bit of practice, I started to get used to it and I was able to enjoy the game play a bit more. While it definitely isn't perfect, and not the best of all time, I enjoyed the combat and encounters, and I can confidently say it is not the terrible and glitchy mess that people are saying it is.

    Now here is where the majority of the complaints come from in this game... the story. Before I go on about what I truly think of the story, I want to put a disclaimer on this; it was not at all what I expected. Within the first few hours of the game something major happens, and it is not going to make people happy. Throughout the story you are able to look at the experiences of two individuals, and by doing this, NaughtyDog was able to tell a rich and thorough story. They did not give a **** what people cared about, and they gave us a long and sad story. Very little of this game is happy, and that is a good thing. They made a real story that will be looked into long after the game is out. This story is controversial, and not everyone is going to like it. It is not happy, and it does not have a happy ending, but with full confidence I can say that this story felt real. There wasn't a hero who got everything that he/she wanted, and nobody won. I think NaughtyDog wanted to make a game in their own direction, and they did not care if people were happy with their choices, because in the end, they made a story that will be remembered for far longer that any other game that has ever been released.

    To close off, if you are thinking of buying this game, I would suggest you do. I am guessing the majority of bad reviews of this game are from people who saw the spoilers and hated the way the game turned out. However, when you play the game, you learn to appreciate the direction NaughtDog took. Just don't expect the game to go your way, because I can almost guarantee it will be hard to watch what happens throughout the story, but that was what NaughtyDog wanted.    … Expand

Joel was needlessly killed off in the beginning and the story never made me feel sympathetic for Abby. As time went on me playing as her I grew to dislike her more and more. There was no pay off in with ending either. Ellie lost everything to find Abby and she just gets to walk away scott free. It just doesn't sit right with me and it really pains me to give this game such a low score. The first game is my favorite game ever and this is such a fall from grace. A game can have the best game-play, graphics, and sound, but if it has a terrible story it ruins the whole game… Expand

Appena finito... che dire, un gioco che ti devasta l anima.. non era facile, non era scontato che si riuscisse a ottenere questo risultato con delle scelte così coraggiose.. ho odiato abby quasi come ho amato ally e joel ma allo stesso tempo mi sono anche affezionato.. la cura dei dettagli anche nelle più piccole cose mi ha trattenuto con piacere davanti allo schermo anche nelle parti meno concitate del gioco senza mai annoiarmi, un gameplay estremamente diverte con delle animazioni che lo rendono molto reale senza appesantirlo e concludendo una regia e una narrazione che ti fa provare veramente qualsiasi tipo di emozione durante tutte le 30 ore di gioco.. un gioco che rimarrà sicuramente nella storia, un gioco che sarà ricordato esattamente come il suo primo capitolo CONSIGLIATISSIMO SE SI VOGLIONO PROVARE EMOZIONI FORTI… Expand

    El juego en sí no es malo pero no vive a la altura de la primera parte y mis problemas con el juego son:

    - La primera parte del juego la sentí algo lenta, me sentí mucho mejor cuando dejamos a Dina en el teatro. - La mitad del juego nos obligan a jugar con Abby, personaje que mató a Joel al inicio del juego. No estoy en contra de que hayan incluido su punto de vista y la razón del por qué hizo todo lo que hizo pero hubiera sido mejor si nos hubieran dado la opción de jugarlo por separado como pasó en Resident Evil 4 con el segmento de Assigment Ada, donde pasaba exactamente lo mismo solo que desde el punto de Ada. Hubiera sido aceptable que ya, lo hubieran puesto dentro de la historia principal tal como lo han hecho, pero el problema es que es un segmento demasiado largo, prácticamente la mitad del juego con un personaje que desde un principio te hicieron odiar y que tratan de humanizarlo pero ya construyeron esa barrera de rechazo, lo que hace que sea un poco tedioso jugar con ese personaje y por tan largo tiempo y más aún haberte cortado una parte tan crucial del juego para jugar con ella.

    - El final no me parece malo, sino más bien interesante ya que no siempre podemos conseguir un final feliz y la forma en la que lo representan me gustó, pero lo que sí odié y no me gustó para nada fue que Ellie haya perdido los dedos, lo que le impide tocar guitarra y por ende echando a la basura uno de los regalos que Joel le había dado y por ende uno de las formas para recordarlo.    … Expand

The gameplay improve a lot that is great, HOWEVER almost everyfan loved this game for the history and characters, we didn't play the first part to save the freaking planet, we did it in order to see the history between Ellie and Joel, when we saw and felt how Joel retake a lost special feeling when travel with Ellie and know that he doesn't want to lose his new family. If I have to be honest I was afraid because I couldn't find the way to explain a new plot in order to justify a second part for this game. Now I know this was the worst way to do it, we literally have to play with the damn killer, and you try .. no, you make the player take some kind of empathy to this character and it doesn't work. At the end Ellie lost everything, the last chapter when Ellie went to California in order to find Abby was the worst idea I ever see; Ellie didn't reach her goal (well, she does, but at that point anything didn't have a sense. That fight was bland for me), and she end's alone (WTF).....
    I think they did this part after see they screw up at beginning. Literally 60% of history are flashbacks that are not flash (bad joke I know)....
    They show us characters without relevance and poor development that as you know if you played they died in bland way....
    SUMMARY, is a great game if you really don't care the plot, sadly this game for the most of us is not just the graphics.    … Expand

Or Just focusing on Abby and really making us feel the real anger for her father's death instead of forcing us to play like her without enough background story, i can't count the number of times I let her die in the fight with Ellie. I had told all my friends and my family that I was going to be offline for a couple days playing the game. I played the game and was of course saddened that they killed off Joel. I had seen some of the leaks previously of Joel’s death but wanted to believe they were fake. I was in denial but finally once I saw for myself that they killed off a beloved character I thought I understood what naughty dog was doing. You play as Ellie for the first 15/20 hours which was fine, but then they switch you off to Abby. Abby is the main “villain” who killed Joel. I’m not sure who naughty dog thought would want to play as Someone who killed the character that you learned to love in the first game. It doesn’t make sense overall. I Believe you play as Abby for 6+ hours and even towards the end of the game you hunt down Ellie. This doesn’t make sense to me whatsoever. Why would you want to play as someone that hunts down a character you love. Also the main reason Abby wanted to kill Joel in the first place was because Joel killed Abbys dad, who was the surgeon In the first game. This may be confusing but basically in the first game the main surgeon at the end of the game who Joel kills was Abbys dad. Wowww such a good story continuation. Abbys dad was the one who wanted to “kill” Ellie and go through with the surgery in the first place. Marlene didn’t even want to “kill” Ellie, but Abbys dad thought it was such a good idea so that way they could try to get a vaccine, even though the world was already dead. Overall I don’t hate this game, I just hate that naughty dog would think that we would want to play as someone who killed Joel. Also I don’t understand why Ellie didn’t kill Abby at the end of the game either. She traveled all the way down to get Abby and found her and drowns her, but in the last second has a realization. Doesn’t make sense. Again I don’t hate the game itself and the graphics and gameplay is beautiful, I just don’t like parts to the story. Overall if you want to buy this game I wouldn’t recommend it if you get too attached. I personally stopped playing the game when you start playing as Abby. I feel as though her part is unnecessarily long and boring, which it didn’t have to be, but no one really cares about her. Sorry this is long but I just wanted to share my thoughts.… Expand

The ten hour side quest was boring and had crappy replacible characters if it would have stop a little bit earlier at the farm I would not be as mad but it push it self to villainnises the main character and force dumb decisions the last chapter was rush and pointless and yet you still don’t get revenge. In they end Ellie left without her family she had revenge and even her ability to use a getair the game play was good but it was drawn out way to long to make a 25 hour story it’s crush’s fans of the last game by giving a beloved character a terrible death.
