    If you are enticed by amazing graphics, this is the game for you. If you loved the gameplay of the first game, you may enjoy this although maybe let down by it's lack of evolution in 7 years. If you considered a naughty dog game to be a cinematic story infused fun ride, do not buy this game. If you believed the brilliance of the original was in the father/daughter drama, do not buy thisIf you are enticed by amazing graphics, this is the game for you. If you loved the gameplay of the first game, you may enjoy this although maybe let down by it's lack of evolution in 7 years.     Writing is one of the worst I've seen.
    I was so hyped for this because I thought this game would at least be comparable to it's predecessor, but it really isn't.
    Killing off one of the main characters that the first game is literally built on is just not a good idea.
    Trying to force sympathy for a completely new character in just a few minutes of cutscenes just doesn't work.
    It just feels that they intentionally made this game bad just to annoy the fans.
    Making a revenge based story where the protagonist doesn't even get the revenge? Who thought this was a good idea?
    I am really disappointed.
    For the love of god, don't buy this game. It's honestly just a waste of money. Making this game was just a waste of time. Seven years just for this? I didn't even mention the glitches. Save your money for something actually good, please.    … Expand

    Masterpiece. Nothing short of the word. Completed the game last night and have been pondering ever since. This game makes you think about actions and consequences. It's unlike any game I've ever played. Smart story with brilliant character moments. Worthy follow-up to my favorite game ever.

I genuinely don't care about any of the characters sexual orientation and enjoy playing lead characters of either sex. This game's overall story is a bleak & depressing disaster.     Hay que decirlo, Visualmente y en cuestiones de el Gameplay, es buen juego que le saca el jugo a la Ps4. Pero pierde mucha de la esencia del The last of us 1. La dificultad del juego no es como antes, y no esta planeada para ampliar el publico del juego llegando a ser como un paseo por el parque. Algo que le juega en contra es las criticas que a tenido, ya que se muestra como lo mejor delHay que decirlo, Visualmente y en cuestiones de el Gameplay, es buen juego que le saca el jugo a la Ps4.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Except for the flashbacks with Joel, this game is a joke. Ellie acts like nothing happened, she isn't even shaken by what happened to Joel. She just acts casually and always composed throughout the story. The fact that Joel entered that shed casually is a disgrace on its own, let alone the fact how he died. He didn't even know why he died. We didn't know, for something like 17 hours. We had to play with the character we hated for 8 hours. Characters were shallow, dialogue was bad. Gameplay and graphics is not everything Naughty Dog but story is. You might have a really flawed game but if the story is good, people will tolerate it. But if your story is something like a fanfiction, well you know what happens if that is the case. You had an amazing universe to expand on and you completely ruined it with this game. It seems you didn't even understand what made the first game special and what made it work. And that ending, oh god... Did any of you read this script before you green lit it? Anyway, I hope now you guys realized paying for reviews for your incredibly badly written game won't save you. The story was amazing and it has a lot of potential to continue in this same universal with the characters Abby and Lev, they could have a relationship grow the same way Joel and Ellie had in the series so far. I do think last of us part 2 was unbelievable with the combat and graphics so that doesn't need to be said any further. I do believe Ellie and Tommy will be in the next last of us, based off what we saw at the end.… Expand

If you want to kill his character off fine, but give his character the respect he EARNED the way the story went about it is a complete mess of incompetent writing. The ending is even worse than all the leaks. A revenge tale that ends with no revenge and leaves everyone playing confused and unsatisfied. The way the story completely annihilated Ellie’s character is one of the biggest disappointments of the gaming industry. These story writers should never be allowed to work on another game again. It is an absolute tragedy that after seven years this is what fans got. Shame on all of you.… Expand

I’ll keep playing the first one and pretend they left it at that. And no this has nothing to do with the gay and trans characters the story is just that crap. How are you gonna kill off Joel? Scratch that, it’s fine he died but it was the way he died was stupid. Why would he give his name and location to some randoms? Why did Ellie let Abby live after everything that was done to her?     It was one of the greatest games i’ve ever played. I can’t compare with the first part because it’s two different products, but these two games are both equally good. It’s a great story about revenge and how it changes you. I’ve gone through this game for like 2-3 days and can’t even describe the specter of emotions that i’ve lived through while was playing. En cuanto al gamepley me asombra el cuidado de los detalles que han tenido con el juego para el realismo en las peleas, las brutales ejecuciones, lo bien que funcionan las armas y la agilidad con la que cuenta Ellie a diferencia de la que tenia Joel en la primera parte, con respecto a los gráficos el juego se ve espectacular, los paisajes, los colores y ese toque de semi mundo abierto en parte del juego que se agradece para ver cómo evoluciona poco a poco el juego, entregando nuevas mecánicas sin desviarse de la esencia del juego. Mi valoración final es que este juego es una genialidad por todos los ángulos que se vean, un excelente trabajo por parte del equipo de Naughty Dog y sobre todo a Neil Druckmann que nos regaló este glorioso juego que será referente para próximas entregas del género.… Expand

It's been done so many times and it almost always backfires. But some writers will never learn I guess. Also, tricking the fans by showing a whole different story in the trailers and making them hyped up about it is a real **** move. I feel terrible that I waited 5 years for this game and paid a lot of money for nothing but a huge heartbreak and disappointment. I'm sorry but you will not get a good score from me.… Expand

    Great graphics as usual. Didn't enjoy it at all. I understand there are changes to the storyline in sequels, but this isn't the Last of Us I miss and remember. Anyone want to by my copy?

Начиная отзыв сразу хочу обозначить: я не против меньшинств, всегда говорил про таких: "Кто как хочет - так и дроч*т" - любой в праве выбирать с кем ему быть и т.д., НО, ребята, так нельзя, эта игра ПЕРЕНАСЫЩЕНА политкорректностью и феминизмом, ОНА КРИЧИТ об это, а я за компанию с ней от диссонанса в голове. Я нормально отнёсся (ещё в 2013 году), что Элли не гетеросексуалка, потом я заметил на горизонте видную мускулистую "даму" - Эбби, уже гетеросексуальную, но с явными признаками феминизма. Последней каплей для написания столь низкого отзыва стал, ВНИМАНИЕ, ТРАНСГЕНДЕР ПОДРОСТОК С АЗИАТСКОЙ ВНЕШНОСТЬЮ!!! Вы серьёзно?!!! Игра и так прописано темой с меньшинствами, а тут все в одном флаконе, осталось только на инвалидную коляску посадить этого подростка и он пройдет собеседование в любою европейской компании на любую позицию (а может его уже посадили за инвалидное кресло, я пока, к сожалению игру не допрошел, сил моральных все меньше и меньше).     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Okay, so as a real HOT take some people might not like: the game is good. TLOU has never been about having a happy ending. Literally the game serves as a vehicle for trauma and grief. Yes, the first one ended with Ellie and Joel together, but at what? The cost of millions of lives. Don’t even get me started about Left Behind. Why the game is good. It is a natural progression of what is likely to happen next in the TLOU universe. Like, is it REALLY probable that Joel would get away with killing a rather large portion of an already minuscule and dwindling population? NO!! Of course someone came after him and like while I was enraged and hate what happened to Joel I was able to step away from my love/attachment to him and think critically about the powerful character development we were being given: - the game is about family and family can either be the found family (Joel and Ellie) or it can be blood (Abby and Jerry) we are given a chance to see the world of the game through different lenses and I think it makes it more dynamic and for the better. - Getting to play as who the fans primarily see as the “bad guys” and see how they view themselves as good and gain an attachment to the characters from the WLVs is kind of eye opening. (Still hate Abby tho nice try naughtydog) - THE GRAPHICS. Like we take a lot of things for granted in this game but literally the fact that it’s like playing an HD movie is insane. 10/10 detail work 10/10 art. - the flashbacks with Joel and Ellie are incredibly heartening and it was a nice addition to have in the game and helped show more of the dynamic growth of Ellie the dorky teen to Ellie as an angry angsty adult. - guitar mini game SLAPS. it’s fun to mess with and is a good break from the stress and anxiety of stealthing it everywhere. - you can pet the dogs - GAY RIGHTS GAY RIGHTS GAY RIGHTS. But genuinely, being able to play as a character who is a lesbian and isn’t a caricature of a lesbian was very rewarding and make me really happy!! The Bad:

    - you have to kill dogs and like? To be real that is super upsetting

    - I hated being FORCED to play as Abby and like I completely understand it was to endear us to her but like I hate her mf guts. Like regardless of how much “oh look she is a good person and has good friends :^)” that is shoved at us. I think if it had been more intermittent, like how we got the younger Ellie flashbacks it would’ve been more bearable instead the second half is just like “you’re Abby and you WILL cope w it” - there was a lot of potential in dina’s character and we got some of it but I would’ve loved to get to know her more outside of the synagogue scene    … Expand

    Storywise this game is completely terrible and spits on what made the last game great, Joel and Ellie. Considering that this is practically a (somewhat) interactive film as the gameplay is monotonous the story is the only thing that could save this game. Overall, extremely disappointing, I couldn't bring me to play after one of the character's deaths

A lot can be said but If you really wanna understand what's wrong with it I would recommend renting the game at a local family video (If you have one).     Never have I ever seen a game with such poor writing. I’m a writer myself, and seeing such awful writing makes me want to gouge my own eyes out. Triple A games are a **** joke, don’t buy into this **** excuse for a game. I can only hope this game is buried in the sands of time, never to be spoken of again.

They never said anything about it. That's when you know it's really **** up situation that bootlickers don't mention it and pretends it doesn't exist. And whining that negative reviews are wrong and ignoring and saying they ain't allowed to feel traumatized, anger, and hate.
    Oh and bootlickers most likely don't care.
    They can like it, but doesn't mean I have to like it. Vice versa for them.
    I'm not sure why they're ignoring Ellie's trauma and PTSD will be having.

Especially pissed me off when Joel dies because Ellie is banging her **** crush. First of all, the most frustrating issue was that the game attempted to empathize with the killer Abby after Joel's brutal and tortured murder. At the very beginning of the game, they forced the most hated character in the game for 10 hours. During this time, Abby's endearing efforts were also noticeable. Abby loves dogs, helps people, and she love a guy so??. I just hated these moves. and someone other than dozens of problems; love triangles.. Ellie loves Dina but Dina is pregnant from Jesse, Abby loves Owen but Mel is pregnant from Owen.. such a good netflix story. In short, all of these attempts to have empathy only angered me. That father-daughter relationship between Joel and Ellie can be called classic for some people, but it was something that made me happy. Os desenvolvedores foram muito ambiciosos e corajosos em relação a história, sabendo do risco que seria mexer com os principais personagens da obra. Gráficos, jogabilidade e ambientação beiram à perfeição. Única crítica pra mim seria pequenos furos de roteiro

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. El juego está increíble, se nota el esfuerzo de naughty dog en los detalles de las cosas, en los paisajes, escenarios, tanto como en las expresiones de los personajes y las emociones que te transmiten.
    En tanto en la historia te cambia de como ves a cada personaje, ya que de cada punto de los personajes ninguno es malo. Te hace empatizar con los personajes por ejemplo Abby, de querer verla muerta a querer que no la mate Elly, te hace ver que de igual madera sufrió Abby como Elly, y que ella también tiene esa misma sed de venganza de Elly porque mataron a su padre. Aún que todo ocurrió por Joel por matar a las luciérnagas y condenar de cierta madera a la humanidad, incluso Elly estaba dispuesta a dar su vida por la cura, te hace ver las relaciones y como han vivido cada personajes para tomar cada decisión, y ser lo que son.
    Tambien esde que le contó Joel a Elly lo sucedido, se rompió la relación de ellos pero con el tiempo Elly decide que quiere perdonar a Joel, y gracias a eso Elly no decide matar a Abby, casi como una forma de enmendar lo que hizo, y así soltar ese sufrimiento que trae por la muerte de Joel.
    La muerte de Joel fue rápida, incluso en términos del principio del juego ya que el es un gran personaje y dolió su muerte. ¿Merecía una muerta épica? No, ya que ningún personaje en los dos juego ha muerta de una madera épica, simplemente mueren de una forma rápida y cruel, ya que así es el mundo en el juego, nadie se va de una forma glorioza.
    Vez el cambio de los personajes de la parte I y II, Joel de ser un traficante de armas y asesinar para sobrevivir a ser un personaje más noble y protector (así como era antes de la muerte de Sarah), Elly de ser una niña divertida a ser una persona más sería y a las ves triste.
    En la jugabilidad mantienen lo mismo que en la primera parte, sólo agregan nuevas armas y algunas habilidades, con los enemigos se nota el cambio en la inteligencia artificial ya que ahora investigan y traran de razonar para encontrarte, pero lo demás no hubo un gran cambio.
    En los paisajes y los escenario es increíble el esfuerzo y detalle que dieron fue un cambio total que se disfruta mucho ver, incluso en las expresiones de las personajes y lo que logra transmitir, eso es lo que te hace más empatizar con el personaje y ver lo que siente.
    Lo único que trataron de forzar mucho es con el tema de ser "inclusivos", en partes del juego o la historia en si, agregan partes innecesarias y que no aportan nada a la historia, está bien pero tampoco no abusar, si no ayuda en nada al juego, ni aporta a la historia.    … Expand

    Si se llamase de otra forma, fueran otros personajes, sería un juego con una mala historia, con mecanicas de la play tres pero con buenos gráficos. Pero no es así. No hace falta cagar en tus propios personajes para eso pasa años y simplemente matalos, es mejor.

    Incredibly disappointing. The gameplay remains mostly unchanged from the first game. Which is fine considering I really enjoyed the mechanics of the first game. The story however is MASSIVE step backwards from the first game. Expected more from a studio that I loved.

    The disappointment I have with this game is unimaginable. The story isn't just bad, it's horrendous because of the way the developers spat in the faces of fans. 5 years people have been waiting for the game, and unfortunately Naughtydog simply didn't give a **** The Last of us 2 is and will forever be a shameless cash grab and nothing more.
