    Absolute garbage. Loved the first game but part two is insulting. It ruined everything that made the first game great and added nothing to replace it.

    The new characters were unlikeable, the new playable character is unable to be sympathised with and the chemistry between existing characters is gone. I wanted to root for Abby, I did root for her at the end of the game. That fact that Joel save Abby and then Abby killed him while also presenting no conflict is disturbing. SJW in the game didn't bother me, I just wish it didn't feel forced and the writing was better. Ellie knows why Joel died. Ellie states she will find out why they killed him. Ellie admits to Abby she knows why she killed Joel. Abby let Ellie live twice and Ellie tried to kill her again, instead of having some remorse while letting Abby down from the pillars. The purpose of the whole story means nothing. By the way you can't make a vaccine for fungi, at least not with modern medical advancements. If anything they could test her antibodies, or even have her reproduce and then have immunity through birth. This game almost seems similar to have Star wars creates the Mary Sue and nothing will have a positive male role model that the mainstream will bring out.… Expand

    C’est un manque de respect ce jeu a tous les vrai fans de la saga , les nouveaux perso sont horribles et l’histoire est horrible, sans parler du fait de devoir jouer avec un perso qu’on déteste tous et qu’on a juste envie de le voir glisser et tomber dans une falaise.

Наоборот, игра говорит, что на первом месте опыт, но и женщиной быть в таком походе не очень удобно.     Sorry in advance for bad english.
    Passed this game in 3 days almost non-stop. It was important for me to understand whether this game is fairly set to 0 points on Metacritic.
    I do not agree with low scores. The game tells a difficult story that can really upset you. But that does not make the story bad.
    I subtract one point for the length of some sections of the game, but the finale is worth it.

    Welp wasn’t happy to buy this game but didn’t, I trust the REAL Joel and Ellie fans such as myself and I’m not about to play as a Muscle man Woman and watch sex scenes for no reason and the plot behind it is ass!!!!!!!!!!!     terrible game, barely managed to finish it, stayed up all nights and barely slept just so i could finish it and the ending was just unsatisfying, it was like a punch to the face, the worst game i’ve ever seen and a waste of money

    They took an amazing narrative and runied it with middle school level storying writing. The graphics, voice acting, etc. is great, but the story ruins it all.

Explain to us how the game is literally all over the place with emotions. One minute you're fending for your life then two seconds later you're flirting with your girlfriend. And the fact that Joel the character that we've grown to love is killed off at the beginning of the game, and you force your audience to play as the killer, HOW? I have never been so disappointed and felt lied to in reference to a product that I've been waiting for. We've all waited seven years for this game and this is what we're dealt. Pitiful… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of us 2 review (spoilers): I know i am no metacritic or imdb but i will do an honest review of the game and tell my opinions of the game.

    Now the disclaimer is , i haven't played the game but i have watched every video associated with it since the leaks surfaced and also have watched almost 10 hrs of gameplay, i also have a clear idea about how the story ends and what happens.

    So here i go...i will keep it short as reviews like skill up have done a much bettee job than me explaining.

    My initial problem with the leaks was the shw woke nature of the game but i trusted naughty dog and i was like maybe they'd make the story redeemable enough in some sense so people like me who hate agenda pushing might not go wow but others would infact niel druckman's initial propaganda was it would be a divisive game so a user rating of atleast 6 or 7 would be expected which would mean that the critic reviews might be bribed but atleast the people didn't hate it but that's not the case.

    Now before i dive in again, the story might be terrible but the graphics and mechanics feel great for atleast the first few hours of the game.

    2 main points about a revenge story is It should be short and it should fulfill the initial objective no matter what the cost.
    For ellie we see her lose everything and that could have worked without changing anything in the game, except the ending.
    Just kill abby , simple as that. Then it would really feel like , i have won but at what cost. Now there are revenge stories like punisher where people dont care about the costs and it works too.

    Abby wasn't likable at all, i thought one way they could have done it better would be her regretting why she did what she did throughout her entire journey and what she lost for that.

    So yes...the story sucks..but i still do have a respect for the art form that is gaming and all i can say alot of people worked hard on this so i will give it the credit for existing and being gorgeous.

    But then again , if you have mechanics of a 2013 game..and you're not an online multiplayer....you will bore people.

    Survival horror is boring..countless grinding is hated by most gamers so what keeps it going? The story and the characters. Some survival horror games like resident evil and evil within make it interesting and making it feel like you actually have to survive rather than taking out targets one by one

    What is it? Hitman post apocaĺypse and even that has a ton of mecahnics that make the game worth it...and one of the best in the stealth genre.

    25 hrs is not the time you should carry a story like this.

    So that is it

    My ratings would be

    Gameplay : 6/10
    Graphics : 10/10
    Story : 2/10 would be a 5 if they fixed the ending and made abby dead
    Characters : 4/10 even joel and tommy were out of character in this one, they were dumb and ellie was plain evil and so was abby , owen, lev and everyone around was ridiculous , dinah was better than the others and jesse was there for the diversity factor.

    Overall i can give it a 5.5 to a 6 if i am being generous on 10.

    Overall 5.7/10

    And a note , next time onwards , if they are willing to push propaganda and stuff atleast do it in an enviroment that favours it, not the post apocalypse , and definitely not in a way that makes it looked forced like it did.

    If you wanted to make a full fueled leftist propaganda game You could have gone for bigots destroyer : earth or some **** but not the last of us 2.

    I'm playing survival horror/action games since System Shock for DOS came out on floppy discs and I couldn't stop playing TLoU2. It's a fantastic game and a worthy sequel to part 1 in every aspect. The story may be divisive, dark and not always what I would have done. Visually it's simply stunning. It's crazy what Naughty Dog pulls of on a 7y old PS4 hardware. One thing that really stands out to me are the facial expressions - certainly the best I have ever seen in a game. Bonus points for the incredible sound design and exemplary accessibility.     El juego lo único que tiene de bueno es lo que todos los juegos tienen, primero que todo aquí viene spoiler, no me pareció justo que decidieran hacer un personaje totalmente nuevo, que absolutamente nadie pidió, y absolutamente nadie está satisfecho, para que matara a un personaje de un juego completo, hicieron que nos encariñáramos nivel Dios para matarlo, el juego es una caca, y nunca pensé que un juego, primero debería ser borrado de todas las plataformas, y ser vuelto a hacer pero con una historia sin el transexual ese, con todo respeto, que nadie se ofenda, pero si eso es mucho tiempo, pues solo poner la opción de matar a Abby al final del juego, Abby el personaje más asqueroso y odiado de toda la historia de los videojuegos que solo por el se arruinó una saga que tenía futuro.
    Pésimo trabajo Naughty dog ¿para esto nos hiciste esperar tanto tiempo?.

I’ve debated whether or not I should write a review considering the overwhelming amount of cruel and negative reviews that are being bombed onto this game (IMO, I personally can’t understand why, but everybody feels differently I suppose right?)... anyways, when the trailer for TLOU2 dropped, I immediately knew that at some point, Joel was going to die. I didn’t know how or when in the game, I just knew that he would die. When I began playing it and he died a mere two hours in, I was shocked to say the least (and especially heartbroken), however, I didn’t see it as an issue. What did people expect, for Joel and Ellie to run through meadows holding hands and pick flowers? This game is about anger, loss and redemption. Many are complaining that Joel is “nothing like he was in the first game” and “too soft”- that’s because people change when they’ve finally found safety and security. In the first game, Joel was still in a mourning state of mind after the death of his daughter Sarah 20 years beforehand, even though he never wanted to face the fact that he was mourning, his past and everything he’d been through leading up to the events in the first game is what made him so stone-cold and ‘mysterious’ if you must say. He was lonely, didn’t have a secure or comfortable place to live (the man was in one of those dreaded QZ’s for gods sake), he’d narrowed himself down to shut everybody out and not trust anybody because of his enviroment. As we can all probablg imagine, the Joel we see in TLOU2 is the Joel we can imagine before the apocalypse with Sarah. He’d finally found a safe haven in Jackson, a place where he could finally bring himself to trust people again, be himself and relax for once. The fact that people find this so difficult to understand and criticise that it “should’ve been explained” takes my breath away, it’s right in front of you, right there. It shouldn’t need explaining. Back to his death, as tragic and horrifying as it was (being so early into the game)- the writers want you to feel the agony, feel the pain and rage of losing somebody so quickly in such a petty and pathetic way, they’re happy your angry because it proves that it worked. And it also means you’re relating to how Ellie feels as she has lost somebody she considered to be a father to her. As much as I admit that there were some plotholes throughout, they were minor and passable. Playing as Abby gives us a newborn perspective, we get to play as the enemy for once, give us this opportunity to see if we could end up developing some sort of care or love for this character that has destroyed this peaceful mentality for our beloved Ellie. I still hate Abby. I always will, however, I personally enjoyed playing as her, it allowed me to learn more about things such as the Seraphites and the WLF, allowed me to understand why Joel’s death actually happened (and why it may seem understandable.)- the gameplay, scenery, sound production and emotions were so brilliant and raw that I constantly found myself stopping for a moment to take it all in, allowing myself to near closer to my tv screen and stare, or sit on the edge of my seat from nervousness due to dramatically nerve-wracking moments.
    This game has made me laugh, cry, rage and scream, i’ve felt the emotions the character felt, it’s left me feeling somewhat empty with unanswered questions (much like our girl Ellie.) I feel in touch with those inside the game, and I truly did not expect anything else from Naughty Dog. Beautiful game with such a tragic and heart-wrenching story which I am for sure to re-play over and over again to allow myself to endulge in the world of the TLOU2. Thank you.    … Expand

All the bad buzz behind the game is so unjustified. Ellie’s adventure is one Of The beatifullest journey that I had to play. Yes, de Naughty Dog have some problems in interne and have to change the work conditions (crunch) but you can not denied that The Last Of Us Part II is an amazing game.     Just finished it, I personally didn't like the gameplay from tlou 1, but I did love the story. Unfortunately tlou 2 had a terrible story that at some points made no sense, the original characters did not feel or seem like themselves, it felt more like a fan made spin off. Luckily, I got a free copy so I didn't waste my money.

    Do not buy this game. I simply don’t understand how it has such a high critic score. The 1st is faultless. This is garbage - a story that is incoherent and completely destroys character arcs. The 1st was defined by its story and character, with the visuals an added bonus. I was hoping this would be go on to be greatest gaming trilogy of all time, that dream is now dead.

I read the spoilers but I still kept an open mind going into the game. After beating it...I was speechless. The amount of laziness and pure balls the developers have to release the game like this is insane. Te whole plot makes 0 sense and they absolutely destroyed my favorite character of all time. How can they think this was going to make people happy? Not to mention all of the social justice warrior stuff. I didn't care until they shoved it in my face another million times throughout the game. The gameplay was amazing and brutal but the story made me regret wasting 20 hours of my life. Stay away and just watch cutscenes if you can even bare. Such a shame.… Expand

If it was then the term has gone down hill. Even my husband who I watched play the entire game said it was a 7 just because of the ending, but for me it’s just a zero. The game destroyed everything that the first set up. Deconstructing characters and forcing you to play the character who killed Joel. It’s horrible story structure. The game play cinematography is amazing but the game play gets boring and is just the same as the first. 7 years for the same game play and a story that makes no sense. Characters making decisions that in the real world in a situation like that makes no sense. Traveling to kill someone then let them get away after 100's of people killed. Not to mention nearly killing you and biting your fingers off. What is this story. Seriously. And why was armor only a thing at the end of the game. The WLF faction easily looks like they could have body armor but for some reason some loser gang would have all this armor but not a highly militarized group at war. Makes no sense to me. Just this game. It’s not a 10 maybe a 5 but shill critics needs to review honestly instead of reviewing to stay in favor and get review copies.

    Solo alcanze a jugar un poco despues de la muerte del ex-personaje principal llamado Joel Miller,la historia es basura progresista con un mensjae estupido hipocrita e infantil.
    La historia trata de:
    Buscar venganza despuer de que mataron a un ser querido.

    La historia es basica y tonta,despues de atrevasar todo EEUU (De nuevo como en la primer entrega) en busca de venganza asesinando a monton de personas y zombis (Como en la primera entrega,solo que con otro motivo)y ademas,los nuevos personajes son exsesivamente aburridos,pocos interesantes,a tal punto de que te da igual si se mueren.

    Cuando llegamos al final,despues de matar a una cantidad exsesiva de personas (lo caul es poco realista)de repente se les ocurre la idea de que asesinar esta mal, y lo peor de todo es que deja viva a la antoginista escapandose.

    La verdad es una decepcion,yo pondria mi copia de The Last Of Us II en la parrila y me comeria un rico asado usando el disco como combustible

    Espere 6 años para esta entrega y topo con esto.
    Es como jugar Uncharted sin Nathan Drake.

    The characters made choices COMPLETELY out of character for them strictly to force the new story points they wanted. It’s like they wanted to go back and rewrite the first installment so they twisted things into reality that left everyone with a slack jaw. A lot of people say that naughty dog seems to be pushing an LGBTQ agenda. At first I thought this was nothing but bigots being bigots. In reality they have a point. The first kiss and Elli's relationship had a place and a point. It seemed like it belonged in the story. Maybe even the transgender kid, but the forced sex scene between a transgender and a man made absolutely no sense. Just like a bunch of the plot holes it was just there. No back story, no reason to exist, just shoehorned into the story. The three main characters being two transgender and a lesbian seems a bit out of place as well. It isn’t representative of the makeup of our general population.

    This game left me feeling down, empty and thinking what kind of garbage was that? Not what I want to feel from a GAME. Sure a game can shock (especially story driven ones) but this was just one forced, crap execution of plot and character holes. Save your money and buy it in the dollar bin in a few months where I’m sure it will end up.    … Expand

I have a plat in TLOU part 1 and after 3/4 of the part 2 game-play, I just feel I won't finish it. It has some intense moments but overall the story doesn't make any sense to me. While I didn't have any problems with playing as Abby her storyline didn't convince me (yet). I feel like I'm forced to like her because she is presented as a very kind and animal loving person (lol) yet she is desperately chasing after Joel and killing him with pleasure.… Expand

    part 2 has : an awful story, with very silly characters ( never compared to the lovable ones in part 1 )
    the Ending is a disaster
    Plus huge amount of enforced/unnecessary LGBT content that is not suitable for a game with such huge audience all around the world.

    You have to look at the context of me giving this game a 4/10 ! probably this game is a GOTY nominee, as a stand alone game it's pretty amazing. But this is not a stand alone game, this is the sequel of one of the greatest games ever created, and in that context it's a dissapointment. Killing off a major leading character sometimes payoff with a dramatic effect that make us sad and will make us cry, and thats good, even if the death is gruesome and violent. This is not one of those times! i felt nothing when Joel died! and this is WRONG! it was poorly handled and it took me out of the game for the next few hours playing it. When the game finally picked up for me is when I - as Elly- was hunting down the group that involved in killing Joel - mainly Abby- and I was LOVING it! Until, the game forced me to play as Abby in literally the full second half of the game! i believe I played as Abby the same amount of Elly. Except that i didn't care one pit about her! and here where the writing really fall off for me. Making the player spend hours and hours playing as the protagonist killer is not going to pull us to her side, insted it pushes us away further! I really understood where the creative team of Naughty Dog are going for here and why they made their decisions the way they were, and I still find it not a compelling way to tell the story they wanted to tell. In the end of the game, I left with one feeling I really don't think Naughty Dog were looking for, and that feeling was "Whatever!"

    I played The Last of US (Part One) too many times, and I enjoyed it every single playthrough. Because I knew that the outcome of the game is something special, and I'm playing for a purpose I'm invested in. The last of Us Part II in the other hand, not so much! I don't see myself replaying it ever again because it is an average "meh" game. I really couldn't care less about Abby's adventure, and the outcome of the story is flat that make the experience not worth the second playthrough.

Don’t get me wrong, the gameplay and visuals are phenomenal, but not worth the price of admission alone. We all know that this game is all about the story, and if it’s not good then what’s the point? The perspective shifts, killing of characters for shock value and tedium that comes from 20+ hours in similar environments found in Seattle lead to an experience that was ultimately disappointing. I do think this game is worth experiencing if you’re a huge fan of the first, as there are moments that are purely heart wrenching when we see the development of Joel and Ellie’s relationship post Firefly massacre. Despite this, the inclusion of new characters only to slaughter the majority of them and a story that can’t seem to decide who it wants you to root for or what it’s trying to say ended up leaving me unsatisfied. This was certainly not worth a 7 year wait, and in all honesty I’d prefer it was never made and we were left with that ambiguous “okay” as our ultimate conclusion to Joel and Ellie’s story.… Expand

    Graphic: Solid 8/10 on a PS4Pro. actually im PC Gamer, playing with a RTX2080S. But the Graphics out of Animations/Movement are really nice.
