    A masterpiece, that innovates the medium in the storytelling department using videogame's strength of interactivity to its advantage. It teared me apart emotionally but that's a good thing.

They definitely achieved the maximum out of the old PS4 hardware.
    Everything else - animations, motion capture, the actor's performance - top notch. For the technical reasons alone it's just laughable to give this game any score lower than a 5 or 6 - the amount of details they've put into the game is just outstanding.

    There were little problems with the pacing, especially in the second half - but all the positives outweighs these little problems clearly.

    I enjoyed my time with this game and I truly believe it is a piece of art that will be talked about in many years from now.    … Expand

    Un excelente juego , la forma de pelear , la forma de usar el ambiente , las distintas historias . no es el tipico final de "vivieron felices para siempre" en el 1 vimos la version de Joel y Eli , en esta vimos la version de Aby . super bueno . no le pongo 10 por el alto indice de promocinar el LGTB.

    I didn't love the story of TLOU 2 but damn, did I love the game. I love that the people making the game did whatever they wanted and even knowing what the commutiny response could be they didn't give up their vision and that's beautiful and inspiring. TLOU 2 pushes the perception of what games can be. When those checks are ticked, videogames are the best type of art because they englobe every single other art there exists in a truly immersive experience. TLOU 2 is the perfect example of that, it's the definition of a masterpiece and no matter you're opinion about it, you can't stay indifferent to it. And that's what good art does, it makes you take a stance, have an opinion and most importantly it makes you feel real ****. You can love it or you can hate it, but you can't deny that TLOU 2 is a result of a company that cares, of a company that wants to do different and push the industry forward. It may not be perfect, but to me, TLOU 2 is the peak of creative storytelling in the medium and the best narrative driven game made to date.… Expand

Very bold story line, which takes som getting adapted to, because you are so focused on the dynamic of Joel and Ellie. And it is at punch in the face when you see joel getting killed of so early, but all the feelings tou get from it, is intentional, and it surdenly divided a lot of People. but all in all i think That it is a very good game and a very bold story, and I see what they are trying to do and I understand why it is not for everyone.… Expand

    It's sad that these days every decision made by artists are ripped apart and people are outraged by a woman who doesn't look like a model. The game is good. Really good. It's an emotional experience backed up by a gorgeous art style and amazing sound design. Yes the gameplay can be a bit repetitive but if you enjoy the style it's not too bad to where you don't want to play it.     Cannot understand the hate.
    The incredible story has upset a lot of the more fragile gamers. Regardless the gameplay and animation are mind blowing. The action is visceral and horrifying. The characters are wonderful and terrible. They feel like real people. A masterpiece.

    Я, как человек чувствительный и эмоциональный, заранее ознакомилась со спойлерами (делаю так всегда, мне так легче и проще), чтобы не сильно бомбить в процессе игры, поэтому процесс принятия сюжетных поворотов у меня начался заранее, и к началу прохождения я подошла в, так скажем, стадии депрессии)) В целом да, и у меня было полнейшее неприятие всего произошедшего в начале, огонь из задницы до луны и обратно и вот это вот все, НО! Но просто дайте игре шанс, и возможно к концу вы получите такой эмоциональный опыт, какой не может дать ни одна ААА игра на данный момент (на мой взгляд).

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have tried my absolute best to like this game. But despite excellent gameplay and graphics, the story just doesn’t work. I spent 30 plus hours lying to myself that by the end, it would all make sense. And everything would come together. However all I was left with was a confused mess, that tries far to hard to be shocking and edgy. It’s all over the place with different characters and time periods. There’s a complete lack of momentum. Old characters are handled badly. And new characters are wasted, due to how they are introduced and set up. To add icing onto the cake... the entire story is kind of pointless. Nothing is resolved, and everyone has just had the worst time. The story is a real shame. The graphics and gameplay are solid. It’s a well made game, that had limitless potential. Unfortunately, although I appreciate naughty dog’s ambition with the plot. It just didn’t work. It’s so bad, that it spoils the game.

    I have just completed the game, and I feel exactly how I felt after watching the last Jedi. I didn’t hate it... but I kind of wish it had never happened.

    Naughty dog, A for effort, but D for outcome. Please take onboard fans criticism instead of insisting we didn’t get the game. We did... we appreciate what you tried to do. But it didn’t work. Things that would have helped the story.
    1. I have no issue with dying dying, but he should have had a better exit. Make it so that Abby refuses to help him up during an escape from the infected after learning who he is. Then being conflicted with her decision afterwards. And so the revenge part makes sense. Have Ellie be there. Have Abby then push Ellie down. And Joel dies saving Ellie one last time. Even have it so Ellie has to kill Joel before he turns. This would add so much more to the end of the first game. Ellie loses Joel to an infection she was supposed to cure. If Ellie needs more of a reason to revenge on Abby. Have Abby also release infected into Jackson, to aid her escape. Dooming hundreds.
    2. Abby had potential. But you needed to make us bond with her before she killed Joel. Personally I liked her gameplay. Had she been in a different game unrelated from this mess of a plot. I would have given her a chance. 3. Have a decent twist. Make it so Abby is also immune. Her dad knew this all along... but couldn’t go through with it. So started using/finding other people with forms of immunity, so he didn’t have to kill her. Have Abby find this out during her segment (so her play through has a point, and doesn’t drag). With her eventually realising that her father and Joel weren’t so different. 4. Have her and Ellie have more screen time out of beating the hell out of each other. So they can understand each other’s side of the story. This way, it actually makes sense why one lets the other go. They can even bond over their immunity. This game is not awful. But it’s certainly not good. And it has the potential to be fantastic with some revision to the story. This can all be done whilst keeping the basic bones of the story. And it would drive home the intended message, far better than the over the top nonsense it is now.    … Expand

    Don't let the leaks or just watching the game fool you. This game is made to be experienced---played first hand. It was such an emotional roller coaster ride. I particularly loved going through the game as Ellie. ND provided a gaming experience that is so immersive I could feel what the characters were feeling.     I thought nothing can beat RDR2's graphics but hooboy TLOU2 just did! The water and reflections and attention to detail in this game is absolutely astounding! I played this game very slowly, soaking in all the environmental details, exploring every nook and cranny,    I just finished this game after about 40hours. What an experience! This is a graphics, technical and narrative masterpiece.

    Narrative wise, I avoided all spoilers coming in, had an open mind and thoroughly loved the story. Most games have protagonists and antagonists that feel detached, villains that are always in the background who want to take over the world etc. Whose motives don't quite inspire or make me empathize. However, in TLOU2, it's very nuanced, layered and deep. Never have I experienced a story told this way. I felt connected to every character and the story beats hit me hard emotionally.

    If you want a deep narrative experience coupled with powerhouse graphics and intense stealth-action gameplay with survival mehanics, this is it. Please I beg you ignore the hate surrounding this game. I've been reading forums and reviews and videos to understand where the hate is coming from but I, in my honest opinion, feel it is very unwarranted. Play it, it's worth it!    … Expand

    The game is not perfect. 8 is my personal score, but it is deffenetly not a 0/10.
    The game looks insanely good, the combat and exloration addictive and realistic. There are some narrative dessicions that have no point at all and the music is not as dominant as i the first game. Other than that a solid ps exclusive.

This game is bad to say the least, first there is the part of the soundtrack, TLOU2 has one that in my opinion is excellent, I will give it that to Naughty dog, but anyone will agree that this is something that TLOU2 cannot hang on as games such as Undertale, which despite having a great story, its strongest point is the soundtrack that gave us as many memorable pieces as Megalovania.

    Now we go with the gameplay mechanics, TLOU2 has practically the same game mechanics as TLOU1 so there is not so much to analyze, except that they are good / decent for the genre, however, it does not shine here either as it could be the case of Sekiro, Mirror's Edge or even Dark Souls at the time that due to the lack of a clear story or the level of many other installments, they sought to shine with phenomenal game mechanics for their genres and that gave immersion.

    Graphics, here if I have to accept it, Naughty dog ​​really showed off what they can do, however, graphics should not be, in any case, something that a game can hang on, unless you want to be a kind of advanced simulator of some style. There are many incredible games that do not have the luxury of showing off with their graphics and still give incredible quality games such as Undertale, Limbo, celeste, etc.

    Finally, the most important thing in this genre is the narrative / story, in which TLOU failed miserably, the story is of the revenge format, however, in the end Ellie ends up forgiving Abby which is the main reason why her odyssey began and don't take it the wrong way, that's a good idea, if it is executed correctly, but the problem here is that Ellie killed all those who stood in her way to reach Abby, like, perhaps they had families, friends, etc(?) So there is no point in Ellie's final decision, at least end what you have already started, plus, people didn't want to play like Abby, they wanted to kill her and help Ellie do it, they essentially forced the player to do something they didn't want to by half a game and with a flat character with little or no evolution throughout the game. Looking for a good story of revenge or redemption? Look at examples such as God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Shadow of the Collosus, Assassins Creed Origins, among many, many others. So yeah, overall, the game doesn't give justice to what its predecessor was, it is just plain bad in the most important camp it had to shine. 2/10 I would like my money back    … Expand

    I think I can divide this game into 3 parts, with the 3rd part being the worst and also very short in comparison, more like an epilogue. If the game ended like I thought it would at the end of that 2nd part, the ending would have been a little bit better (worthy of a 7/10) and    6/10 is a fair score imo. I don't think I can recommend it at full price though, maybe wait for a sale instead.

    Overall I really enjoyed the game despite it's flaws.

    - Story is kind of mediocre for me. We have seen this type of story in many movies and executed better and also much worse. Despite a weaker story, I still wanted some answers throughout the game (and I was satisfied with them) and I wanted to know what happens next. The characters can sometimes be **** stupid and make stupid decisions (some of them selfish) just to keep the game going. I also liked all the flashbacks that happen throughout the game. They didn't feel like filler to me.

    - The graphics are very good even on the normal ps4, the acting is great and so is the level design. There are also a few bigger areas this time. I saw a few (not many) graphical glitches here and there, but perhaps there are less of them on ps4 pro.

    - The gameplay has also been improved and was easily the best part of the game for me. It is very similar to the first game, except you can now also jump, prone and even hide in tall grass and under vehicles and some objects. I THINK they even added a dodge button (or was it in the 1st game as well? I can't remember), which makes the combat better. You can also craft a silencer for your gun. You no longer have to waste shivs to open locked doors. The AI is a bit on the dumber side even on Survivor difficulty and can sometimes be easily exploited, but I've seen worse in some other games. (For example: In the 3rd part of the game I managed to take out probably at least 15 humans (most of them with melee attacks) while hiding in one small hallway with 3 covers, 1 way in from the front and 1 from the back. One brave fool or usually exactly 2 enemies always stopped on each side of the door that leads into the hallway for a few seconds before only one of them came inside to try and fail to kill me while the other one walked away from the door before finally coming in and let me do it instead of coming in in pairs or groups. Also, none of them apparently knew the layout of their own house because they could have easily surprised me behind if they bothered to walk through the room on the right of the hallway that I couldn't see, but they had access to only if they jumped over a very small concrete fence first that was right next to that door.)

    - I didn't see many bugs, other than usually 1 infected being stuck in a small area and keeping aggro after losing sight of me two or three times in different encounters and a human enemy becoming invisible in the 3rd part of the game when I tried to aim at him from position that the game didn't like.
    - Looting feels a lot more rewarding this time, even on the hardest difficulty. If you try to explore everything, you will find a lot of pills, scrap and crafting components and how much ammo you will take into each encounter once again depends completely on your play-style. And you will definitely need that ammo.

    - I loved the encounters in this game. Some were really brutal, 1 or maybe 2 were a bit scary with some horror game vibes, but most of them were fun, 3 or 4 however were frustrating and they forced me to actually play well to get through them. Luckily the autosaves are very frequent during all encounters and they even helped me win a few difficult fights despite the result being a draw. Unfortunately though, for me many encounters felt like filler just to extend the game length, but because I really enjoyed the gameplay, I didn't really care.    … Expand

    But the game is beautiful, enjoyable, tense, bleak as all hell as we'd expect following the first game & tells a powerful (albeit not revolutionary) story of all-consuming hatred & the inevitable totality of sacrifice in the pursuit of revenge. And it tells it well. Characters felt real &, a few motivational hickups aside, were believable & well rounded.
    It stuck in my head, I was replaying segments in my mind days later and am still moved by it. I'm keen to replay it already.    … Expand

    Fenomenalna gra ale nie dla każdego. Historia nie porusza tak jak w 1 cześć ale dalej jest na wysokim poziomie. Lokacje wygladają bosko i sa mega szczegółowe. A mechaniki ktore sa wprowadzone do gry trzymaja wysoki poziom. Polecam każdemu.

    Story: 1/10 (I gave +1 stars to several "moments of clarity within the game that made me feel the same emotions from the first game"

    Why did I give this such a low rating? Easy - Neil Druckmann and
    Halley Gross fundamentally missed the mark on understanding what made The Last of Us special: Joel and Ellie. Their journey/bond together was the game - that was why I was waiting to see the continuation of their story after the cliffhanger in the previous installment. How did they cope with what happened? How will this change their bond?

    Unfortunately, this game spits at the legacy of both characters by sidestepping an actual narrative; instead, Druckmann and Gross focused on hollow, nihilism as a substitute for actual emotional depth.

    Ellie and joel don't feel the same - their personalities fundamentally seem off outside of brief moments within the story. While I liked Dena and Jesse, I couldn't get over that ellie, joel, and tommy were out of character almost the entirety of the game.

    Moreover, the game attempts to force sympathy on characters who aren't capable of sympathy themselves. Manipulative tactics as well as the forced narrative in story telling made the game wholly unsatisfying to play compared to the first.

    This game changes characters and situations from the previous game to drive this story - that was Gross and Druckmann's biggest error. I feel as though the game's story was designed to intentionally challenge my love of the previous game which is why this review probably deserves 0/10 stars. I don't know if I will ever connect with the first game and dlc again, knowing that this is where the story leads.

    What happened to the hopefulness? What happened to Ellie being special? I believe this game did immeasurable damage to the franchise. I won't support any future Last of Us projects - which absolutely breaks my heart.

    I don't believe this is a bad game. A bad game implies it wasn't worth playing based on the merit of the artists and designers. I believe this game was intentionally divisive which makes it not worth playing for fans who loved the first game. Ellie was so special and strong - but the devs decided that in this new world you play in, other people in this game are even more special and stronger and more justified in nonsensical actions they take.

    Neil Druckmann and Halley Gross, your "boldness" ruined one of the greatest franchises in history. I can see that Bruce Straley was crucial to the success of the game, the Last of Us franchise, and Naughty Dog's future. Good luck with the future Naughty Dog - I'm out.    … Expand

    overall the game is great. I wouldn't however rank this as my top 10 favorite games of all time. I enjoy the gameplay, the survival aspects and how it makes you think on your feet while in combat. Gameplay wise it is alot better than the first one where it makes up in the uniformity of the first games play. However characters fall flat and become one dimensional. One example would be Dina.overall the game is great. I wouldn't however rank this as my top 10 favorite games of all time. I also do not like the constant flashback gameplay and wish it was more one direction in the story. Overall a great game though. It is so funny seeing how so many people claimed this game to be “trash or a slap to the face”, on the day the reviews were accessible to the public. Saying the story is trash or woke is not criticism. I have taken weeks to process this game and it’s actions, it’s writing choices. This game is not as cohesive or well paced as the original. But this game offers so much more. If you go into this after Abby killed Joel saying, yeah I want to kill her so badly. The game succeeded. That is the point. Then finally when that switch happens and Abby is your main character, you lose it. You say how did Naughty dog screw this up even more? Well I’m here to say that’s exactly the point. For me this game is a test for the player. How are we so confined to our notions of what these characters are? Who they should be and how they should turn out? This is a game where if you don’t go open minded, if you let your massive ego get in the way, you will not enjoy it. Perhaps you don’t enjoy it, but understanding why things happen and seeing how they unfold, is truly seeing this game through. The best line in this game are Joel’s last words. “ Say whatever speech you have rehearsed and get this over with.” Joel knew this day would come, he didn’t know for why or when. He knew because of his past, his actions have led him to this point. We can relate to Joel and emphasize with him. But we can’t say he deserved better. It makes you understand, what if you were Abby and Joel had Murdered your father? You would do the same. And we see that this revenge has destroyed Abbys relationships. Thing is Abby learned to let go way earlier than Ellie, that is why she seems to be more in the wrong later on than Abby. The game doesn’t want you to think Ellie is bad or Abby is good. It is to make you see how they have changed at certain points. And if we empathize with Abby more, it succeeded in that endeavor. If you are rooting for Ellie to kill Abby at the end, nearly crucified and beaten, it is not crazy or stupid to say you missed the whole point of the game. The whole point of Ellie and Joel’s arks. Ellie never had redemption for her loved ones deaths. And Joel took that from her. So with him gone she believes ending Abby and her friends will help Ellie find this sense of redemption. But it doesn’t. Yes revenge is bad, but it the way this game tackles those themes that make it a wonder to sit and think about. This game could of gone in so many directions. But this one seems the most just within the world and ending of the originals. I wouldn’t say I liked how Joel died but we aren’t supposed to. If the game has payed out a foundation for what it wants to do to us and for the story, and does it better than promised I give it credit. I have never sat through credits before. For movies or games. I was left shaken, sad, it was more bitter sweet than anything. By the end you’d we that Abby has grown much more than Ellie. You see Ellie spiral down into this monster with no remorse for her foes and her Allies. She destroys her relationships. She started this quest that has killed all her friends either actually or mentally. Tommy is broken, alone, and hates Ellie. Dian leaves her. Jesse is dead. Ellie knew Dina was pregnant along time before she decided to leave to Jackson. But she had the whole time to escape. But there was Tommy to worry about. She always had an excuse for going on the revenge trail. Tommy handled himself the best in terms of dangerous encounters . We see that through the whole game. It was Tommy and Jesse that found Ellie broken in The aquarium. When we come back to the aquarium as Abby and Lev, and notice that Ellie killed Alice in the beginning I got chills. I was like damn I didn’t realize that before hand. It turns the tables and for me it worked. The graphics are easily the best anywhere. And the combat is improved on in almost every way possible. The enemy variety and melee combat is the coolest thing ever. Please play the game yourself and form your own thoughts. Don’t let this review judge how you see the game. Just take it as my opinion. Letting others form you opinion for you is weak and shows that you as a person has low intuition and a lackluster thinking process. Don’t let good or bad reviews do this. Play it for yourself. And maybe you will see that this game has mature elements to it that exceed all expectations.… Expand

    With such a divisive love it or hate it story, there is no doubt Naughty Dog has once again set the bar in technical aspects of video game making. The amount of work and dedication put in with each frame and each individual pixel is astounding (albeit amidst reports of developer crunch) and continues to solidify Naughty Dog as one of the industry's best.

I had heard rumblings of negativity before it's release but I just ignored them and I am happy I did because this game was an absolute joy to play. It might not be for everyone, but this is a game that I will most definitely play again.

I have just finished my first playthrough of the Last of Us Part 2 and have played 46 hours and 37 minutes according to my autosave. It is a very worthy sequel to the original which I absolutely adore and is probably my all time favourite game. I absolutely love part 2. I was devastated early on, though I don't think I was surprised though in denial about what may come up until everything transpired, and it actually affected my mood going forward in to the beautiful settle. I suppose I was in a very sombre state and had cried in a way I hadn't cried at a game before. On top of crying, I laughed later on as I came out of my funk and then was in terrified at a section later on in the game. The game plays really well, and I love being able to go prone reminding me a bit of metal gear crawling through the greenery. There's quite a bit of as you'd expect gameplay wise and great story telling as you'd expect with a Naughty Dog game. It threw some unexpected twists as well, playing as other characters to get a different perspective on the situation. It's very gory at times, very bloody and certain things are wince enducing. It's a very brutal world and is portrayed very well and it's a game I highly recommend to anyone that loves story driven games with a stunning world.… Expand

    The game is awesome in every aspects, the story is just amazing from start to end. Just 9/10 because of the leak of cordyceps evolution situation since the first part. and some repetitive gameplay actions (but I really enjoyed it, full time!)

No one even if you were the main protagonist of the first game. The game became more beautiful and gameplay was more intense. Environment was so beautiful and combat was great. Storywise for me i understood through multiple playthrough. It made me understand that in this world there's no pure good guys nor bad guys when revenge is the main reason at first which was always never the best answer. Yes it was shocking for joel but for me in order to make progress you need to make a change. Its not always a happy ending to all games. We need to understand that this move my naughty dogs was on the right track in order to evolve a game you need to make moves even if theres a need to kill a major character its the better move instead of milking a game from previous ones.… Expand

The playable aspect and the story are really good, as well as the graphics. There are a lot of good things about this game but there's one thing that I would have liked to see, and that's Ellie and Joel talking before his death. I don't mean the flashback at the end, I mean an explanation of Ellie feelings to Joel. The thing I hated the most was its last trailer. When I saw that Joel was alive I got really happy and excited of seeing Joel and Ellie in action again but when we saw Jesse was the one who appeared, that made me really sad even though I like Jesse as a character. I was fortunate enough to avoid the leaked spoilers and fully experience the game start to finish without any external knowledge of the polt's events or the opinions of others. So when I came online to discuss the game with others, I was surprised to see how much negative noise it was receiving. If you have been exposed to spoilers, I implore you to keep an open mind and play the game start to finish anyway. Anyone who plays the game with the ability to relate to characters or attempts to see the character's world from their perspective will most definitely have a far better experience overall.

    Now that's out of the way, first ill say that the gameplay was very well constructed in a way that deconstructs the way the first game is played. Ellie is stealthy and crafty (proximity mines, bow focus, allways a one hit stealth kill) while Abby is more brute force and firearms focused (Can craft firearm ammo, harder hitting melee, use of firearms is more contextual). I thought this separation of gameplay was interesting, as it took advantage of the medium to demonstrate the contrast as well as the parallels these two characters share. In addition, the ability to go prone, and the increased mobility from the first game makes every encounter feel more "sandboxy" in that the player has more freedom to choose how they want to engage in the encounter. For me, the gameplay is a 10/10.

    The story is bold, and when the player is forced to play as Abby, I admittedly at first was repulsed and thought the segment was going to last an hour - tops. It wasn't until crossing the crane as Abby did I start to like her as a character for going from a drone taking orders to an actual person with a heart. I wouldn't be surprised if Abby actually regrets killing Joel by the end of the game. As for Ellie, I've seen a lot of discussion arguing that Ellie killed hundreds of people to get to Abby, and that letting Abby go makes no sense because of that. However, I thought the final flashback made it rather clear that Ellie had simply realized that Abby was not responsible for a large portion of the pain she was feeling for losing Joel, but it was actually her own fault since she had spent so much time resenting Joel and pushing him out of her life, even if all he was trying to do was be a good father figure. Joel could have fallen off a cliff and Ellie would have felt the same greif, but since he was murdered, she had someone to pin all the blame for her pain on. The story is not about revenge anymore than the first game is about curing the infection; this story is about justice, and in the end, Ellie was not justified in killing Abby and chose to do the right thing. The story for me gets a 10/10.

    The game loses a point for the sex scene though lmao. That was the most awkward cutscene in any game I have ever played. I think it even beats the laughing scene in FF10. At least cutscenes are skippable, so I'll let it slide.

    Other than that, the game is a great overall experience. 9/10.    … Expand

Putting aside all the representation of the LGBTQ and what not, I feel that that's is just how the story was presented with and shouldn't be used as a reason to hate it. Instead I will be focusing on the gameplay and of course the Story that everyone hate for god knows what reason.

    Gameplay wise, it's amazing. It was improved in every sense from the first game, allowing me to play to my style as well offer a challenge. Every moment was tense and I felt that every decision I made would make an impact later in the game, whether to use my resources now and suffer later, or suffer now and save my resources for a rainy day. I felt terrified at every corner and that's what I want. I can go on a rant but I'm sure noone actually hates this game for its gameplay anyway.

    Now for the story. Joel died. Big whoop. Go cry somewhere else where noone can see you. Joel ain't a saint. I'm sure some people thought Hitler was a saint as well and cried for his death, but that's if your a Nazi lol. Joel was a survivor. He did what he needed to survive, even if he managed to piss off an entire organisation, which he did, and faced the consequences for it. People said he deserves better, a hero's death even. Why? He killed dozens of people. He's not jesus, heck even he didn't die a glorious death. This a post-apocalyptic world, people die. By no means am I glad died. I was shocked and saddened, and at the same time, I wanted revenge as well which pushed me to continue the game, hoping to kill everyone involved. In a way, The Last Of Us 2 only occurred thanks to joels death, nothing else would really warrant Ellie leaving the comforts of Jackson. Some people say how bout if Dina died, sure Ellie would want revenge, but as a player I couldn't care less about a character I just met.

    And finally the ending where Ellie lets Abby go, and everyone hating on it cause it made their entire journey feel redundant, that there was no point, and that they wanted Abby dead. Wow. I mean, The Last Of Us part 1 was about delivering Ellie to create a cure, and Joel ruined that, doesnt that mean the entire first story was pointless as well? NO. The ending signifies that Ellie can finally move on, both her and me as the player is tired of all this violence, after 30 hours of gameplay, even I felt that enough is enough, Ellie has to move on. The ending shows that Ellie has matured, unlike most people playing this game.

    Overall this game was amazing, and I applaud Naughty Dog for defying expectations and bringing as a game that wasn't meant as fan service, but to show us the dark side about the cycle of revenge.    … Expand

    BUT the storyline and the way it was written was a cluster f**k, we don't have a problem with Joel being killed but it was they did it. 7 years of waiting to be given this, is a kick in the teeth to then be told that if you don't like game you hate the LGBTQ + community is not on, we knew the two leads are part of this and it didn't have any effect on the game for us. end of the day the storyline is s**t with no revenge at the end like it was suggested all the way threw the game.    … Expand

For me though, the events that transpire in the game felt realistic, reasonable, and it further reinforces the fact that in the world of The Last of Us, there are no heroes and villains, only survivors with their own personal intentions. The character decisions as well were in line with what the character was going through and felt justified based on their development throughout the story. To say that the story is emotionally driven is taking it lightly. There are moments in the story that will just break your heart. It is a sad and depressing tale and yet underneath all of that, there are moments of happiness and joy. It provokes many thoughts and emotions, and through the characters, we are able to experience that. Which is why I think the characters in the game are some of the best and most well realized ones in any video game. You get to feel what the characters are going through and understand the choices they make. It is through these experiences that made me emotionally connect with these characters and made me care for them, especially in this dark and grim world that they are living in. My main issue with the game is regarding its pacing, which I felt was inconsistent and definitely made the game feel a lot longer than it needed to be. It is indeed a story that will definitely not be for everyone, but is definitely for me. The graphics and overall visual presentation of the game is incredible. It is without a doubt one of the best looking games of the generation. Animations are fluid and are some of the best in the industry, specifically the facial animations that looked very realistic. The environments as well provide a tense and realistic atmosphere that further enhances the overall world immersion of the game. Game play, for me, is one of the highlights of the game. Utilizing your arsenal and all the tools that you have during encounters really makes the combat shine. The weapons in the game feel really good to play and quite different from one another. Stealth is simple but effective, and the phenomenal level design allows for multiple ways of dealing with enemies. The upgrading system for weapons is great and each upgrade felt important and impactful to the way you play and handle encounters. Overall, despite the issues I had with its inconsistent pacing and overly long game length, these issues were not bad enough to ruin my experience and make me give the game anything less than what it deserves, a 10/10.… Expand

I cannot believe the hatchet job that was done to my favorite game of all time. Killing Joel was definitely a message against the “patriarchy” as at the end you dont even get your revenge and let the killer go. That was the most anticlimactic ending I’ve ever experienced. Game play was tight and guns felt great but I definitely won’t be replaying like I did the original. They wanted to push an agenda in this game and lost a fan in me. I’m done with naughty dog… Expand

    El juego me pareció excelente, buena trama, buenos graficos, buena historia (más que nada la de abby), lo único para criticar es ese fanatismo en mencionar constantemente lo lesbiana de ellie, y no vi la necesidad de hacer trans a Lev, demasiado progre en ese sentido en cosas innecesarias, pero no se puede negar que quitando eso es un muy buen juego.

    i'm surprised that the game is receiving so many bad reviews. i believe it's due to snowflakes disliking that their forced to reevaluate what's wrong and right and can't handle playing a game where no one is 100% good and 100% bad.

    Abby seems like a boring, lazy character because you introduced to are forced to see the world through her eyes after seeing her commit this horrific act of violence. It is a natural reaction to be uninterested in her past.

    But the reality is that Abby is a deep, authentic character with her own motivations and experiences and traumas and a failure to recognize this is the result of people being incapable of, or refusing to understand another person's world view.

    The world of TLOU is one without heroes, and many people have incorrectly categorized the characters from the first game as such. Being able to separate reality vs. expectations is critical in understanding the nuances of this games story.

    Also the gameplay is **** fantastic. its an amalgamation of the best of Uncharted 4 with a heavily overhauled TLOU inventory/crafting system.

    The amount of emotions that this game makes you feel is unbeliavable, first game that i see that requires you to be mature, no other way you will understand the games message, that is so good btw, gameplay insane, you can play on multiple ways, for sure you will find a playstyle for you, and about the grapichs, cant believe that a ps4 provide that experience, insane game.

Tudo o que foi feito no primeiro jogo esta sendo extremamente bem retratado e fiel aqui. Eu posso admitir que não fiquei feliz em ver a morte do Joel, mas foi tão impactante quanto ver a morte da Sarah.
    Todas as ações realizadas no primeiro jogo repercutiram aqui. E um fato bastante curioso: é revelado o sobrenome de Joel que é Miller, e o significado deste nome em seus pontos positivos e negativos mostra totalmente a personalidade da pessoa retratada no jogo.

El juego es un 10 técnicamente hablando, visualmente es de lo mejor hecho a o largo de la historia, la banda sonara se repite con la calidad que ya sabemos nos ofrece Gustavo y el Gameplay supera al del 1 por mucho, el botón de esquivar añadido le da una intensidad increíble al combate cuerpo a cuerpo. Hablando sobre las quejas relacionadas a la "Diversidad" que hay dentro del juego, cabe mencionar que se ofrecen momentos de todo tipo, sin embargo ni un solo segundo hay algo forzado en la trama, todo lo incluyeron de forma sutil y natural. Con respecto al corazón de The Last of Us, que es su historia, mientras jugaba sentía que se quedaba corta en comparación al 1, pero al terminarlo me di cuenta que no es así, no es tanto la típica historia de venganza, el cliché que algunos sienten, es en completo una historia de perdón y redención. Dejaron atrás la historia de buscar la cura para salvar al mundo. Joel durante el 1 terminó con toda la esperanza y la "Luz" que quedaba, y al mismo tiempo destruyó a Ellie en el proceso al quitarle el motivo de su vida. Joel necesitaba el perdón de Ellie.
    En el juego se muestra a un Joel desgastado, que se ve a leguas esta sufriendo por las decisiones que ha tomado y las cuales sin embargo volvería a tomar. La gente cree que se "despersonalizó" a Joel, por el simple hecho de bajar la guardia, cuando en realidad Joel pierde su personalidad en el 1 en el momento en el que Sarah muere y es cuando conoce a Ellie que empieza a recuperar su personalidad, tanto es así que termina confiando rápidamente en Henry y su hermano, por ejemplo. Aquí ya lleva un par de años viviendo relativamente tranquilo y es Tommy, quien los delata ante los lobos... Lo que hicieron con Joel es algo muy arriesgado y difícil de aceptar, pero al final es un recurso realista y doloroso.
    Ellie necesitaba perdonar la vida de Abby para poder continuar. Muchas veces es muy fácil juzgar las decisiones de las personas estando como espectador, pero como ya es común en los videojuegos, hay que colocarse por completo en los zapatos de Ellie y Abby para comprenderlas. Abby lleva a cabo su deseada venganza, algo que lleva planeando por años, y es lo que primeramente arruina su relación con Owen, sin embargo no conoce el precio de la venganza hasta después de llevarla a cabo, a diferencia de Ellie que esta pagando el precio de la venganza mientras la busca. En esta historia no hubo ganadores, solo personas que lo perdieron todo en distintos momentos por las decisiones que tomaron. El mensaje que me dejo el juego es que, en un mundo donde todo puede terminar tan abrupta y rápidamente como ese, no está permitido guardar resentimientos con los seres queridos. Ellie tiene la oportunidad de haber intentado perdonar a Joel durante 2 años, pero nunca lo hizo hasta un día antes de perderlo, eso es lo que la atormenta, es lo que entiende en el momento final y es por ello que perdona a Abby, para poder seguir con su vida.     Although certain points in the game feel overly drawn out, the rest of it feel like a true masterpiece worthy of being the last major PS4 title. I cannot wait to see what Naughtydog does next because the perfect story and visuals can only be expanded upon in the coming generation of console.

    If you can get past all of the gay agenda pushing, the story is actually very well written.

    I love the realistic violence in this video game. The kill damage animations, coupled with the realistic reactions from the enemies friends are second to none. But, after about 40 hrs in, it almost feels a little too dark and violent.     The only other negative for this game, and I’m nitpicking here, is the pacing on a few parts throughout the game.

    Besides these things, this is one of the best video games ever created. Graphics = 10 Gameplay = 10 Replayability = New game plus so ☑️

    The bad reviews for this game were done by people that have never played the game and were butt hurt because of the leaks. I’m almost certain about that.

    This is a must play if you own a ps4.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
