    Biggest disappointment in gaming. Apart from the ***show of a story, the game play gets repetitively boring. Feel really sorry for the brilliant ND team who are on the receiving end of all this hate just because of a their ****head leaders/creative directors.

    Story is trash. If you liked the tlou1 for the great characters, this is not the game for you. All the characters returning and new, are unlikeable, vapid, and unsympathetic no matter how the dev's wanted them to be.

    The game play is uninspired and repetitive. The narrative drags on and on, and seems to have a bizarre fetish for torture and needless violence. This compounds with the jarring ludonarrative dissonance of Ellie choosing to spare abby in the end despite having no problem with the massive body count the average player will inevitably rack up in a playthrough. Overall save your money, wait for a sale, or watch a stream of the story if you for whatever reason just have to experience this illconcieved sequel.    … Expand

    Overall 3-4/10.
    Let's not forget about abusing copyright law, censorship and quite possibly paid-fake reviews.

Solo se salva por jugabilidad y apartado técnico, la historia es de mala calidad, se esforzaron mas en que te pongas en el lugar de abby que en la historia en si, las mejores partes son el principio, con su "tutorial" que es introductorio a los controles e historia y el volver a ver a tus personajes favoritos y como se llevan, hasta la presentación de abby esta bien pero en el propio " tutorial" se cargan a joel y el final depende de gustos, pero en parte es bueno y en parte no, admiras ND mintio con la duración del juego, ya que se puede acabar antes disfrutando y sin perderte nada de la historia, otro punto muy negativo es la publicidad, todo el rato te lo vendieron con que estarian solo joel y ellie ( joel muera en las primeras 2-3 depende del tiempo que emplees en recursos) y lo hacen de una forma muy rara, ya que como vimos en la primera entrega joel es muy desconfiado, y mas por lo que paso en el pasado, y ese recurso que usan como flashbacks es en ocasiones tedioso, porque si lo matas para que te esfuerzas en meter eso a la fuerza, como consejo para los que se piensen comprar este juego os digo una cosa, si eres muy fan del primero, este no existe para ti, si eres fan o jugador casual compralo pero tampoco te esperes una notaza porque para ti como mucho sera un 6-7

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Having played 8-10 hours into the game I've given up. I applaud the team at naughty dog for the amazing graphical fidelity of the game and its sound and animation. But I've officially lost interest in the series.
    Having seen many videos repeatedly of Joel's head being smashed in with the club by Abby and having played through it myself, I now feel completely disconnected from the world that was created in the first part,I don't even feel sad anymore, all that goes through my mind is "this is the stupidest s**t I've seen. I boot up the game and play it for a 20 minutes tops and quickly quit it and find something else to play at this point.
    It being a couple of days post launch now, I can comfortably say, f**k this game. F**k it for ruining the world, characters and story for me. I'm done.
    Its good if you enjoyed it, its good that you could and I won't fault you for it. But there's too much wrong for me to forgive. Too much.
    This world that you'd made naughty dog, is now dead.
    And the best part? You killed it as unceremoniously and mindlessly as Abby did Joel. Good job.
    This had the potential, the setup and all the key ingredients of something mind shattering. But sadly you decided nope, we're gonna f**k with this up so bad.
    I really feel sad I spent money on this pile of steaming s**t. I really wish you hadn't done this.

Loved the first game, especially Joel's and Ellie's relationship and enjoyed the DLC to that as well. However, video games are entertainment and escapism for me, for everyone else who feels like that - think hardGraphically and technically amazing as can be expected by ND. The story and the characters blow me away every time I go though it. So, to say that I have been waiting a lot for this second game, is an understatement. But, as much as I love the first one, as much I hate this second game. I literally feel like punching my fist through the wall, throw my PS4 and that game out the window, run down the street, throw gasoline on it, set it on fire and then pee on the ashes. Why would anyone spend so many resources to make such a great and beautiful game and then apply the most terrible storyline ever? It makes NO sense to me. I wonder what Naughty Dog has been thinking; "Hey, let's make a bunch of trailers showing Ellie and Joel, then kill Joel in the most brutal way ever and make them play the game as Joel’s murder" - WHAT THE ****! It is like you have been trolling us for the last couple of years and make us buy this game on false premises. Imagine you bought a new Zelda game, Link gets slaughtered and then you play rest of game as Link’s murder. Why would anyone want that? I avoided the leaks in good faith, but now I just wasted a bunch of money. I am so depressed right now, as if 2020 was not bad enough already. But hey, I guess you can say that The Last of Us Part 2 fits 2020 perfectly – It is like this game was made to finish people off...… Expand

    The graphics look amazing! You can clearly see that we have reached the PS4 hardware limitations. The main part of a video game like The last of us the, story is a disgrace to the original. All that was loved was just thrown in to the bin.

    70% of the developer & writer who made the first game great already left/kicked out from the studio.
    The first game is perfect on its own, didn't need a sequel.
    They could have gone so many way with the sequel, but instead they chosen the "cheap" revenge story.
    Killed my favorite character so early in the game just for the sake of killing characters & the "shock factor".
    Also.. false advertisements, the game made you play as other characters(she-hulk marvel crossover yay!) midway through the game that not shown at all in any trailer/promotion.

    Final Verdict:

    I never wanted a sequal to The last of us, and this game proves why. To put it simply, this game is an insult to fans of the original game. It takes everything most people loved about the original and completely throws it out the window to instead force a political agenda.

Playing through the game hoping for some payoff to make the journey worth it, simply does not happened. instead Naughty Dog gets one last **** you off before ending the game, and killing what little there were left to like.

    What TLOU2 did was not very good story telling. Character development was pretty bad too.... If they at least had changed the story chronologically a little bit, it could have been a 5.5+ in rating.

    I want to REMIND everyone that we are GAMERS and we don't care for a game like TLOU where it is solely about survival, beating the bad guys that want to harm us or zombies to contain a moral message at the end with a very bad script and lots of confusion and story telling that is worse than Game Of Throne's Final Season. It was filled with so much political and moral bull crap. We already have to deal with it IRL everyday.

    Why do you have to drag this into a VIDEO GAME??? Don't ruin fictional worlds with your narrative. A little bit isn't bad but what you delivered was nothing but a novel for extreme moral activists. The person who you hired for the story telling should get fired.

    Look at the reviews, btw, that's not a brigade. These are gamers who have been disappointed by your story telling which is quite justified. Your JjjjjjjOurRnaLisTs that have reviewed it with 10s are not even real TLOU fans, they review games for a living, for them to survive, they have to lay in a good word.

The story is an absolute mess, it is so jumbled up and out of place it barely makes sense. The way it chose to handle certain story decisions is baffling, the “revenge is bad” plot is generic at best. It lacks some serious execution at times. A lot of the game feels like a walking heavy breathing simulator with the odd zombie encounter and some boring puzzles. for a 20+ hour game there is a real lack of substance for nearly the entire first half, and most of the characters have no depth or development whatsoever, and are often discarded or killed with no further mention or care form the other characters. It is clear from this game how much the writing department is lacking after losing Amy Hennig, who probably deserves more credit for the first game than she received. All in all this feels like a real kick in the teeth to last of us fans who have waited and been excited for this game for 7 years.    … Expand

Either lots of changes went on recently before launch,or the trailers were made deliberately to trick fans. If you loved TLOU1, and are looking forward to a new Joel and Ellie experience this is not it. If you saw the trailer and thought this game would carry the magic of the first game, this is not it. Joel and Ellies dynamic is thrown out the window, their decision making has been completely retconned. The major plot points set in motion by Ellie and Joel are completely out of character. This honestly feels like a fan made story, but with a triple A budget for gameplay.     I think the most tasteful part was when Druckmann and his mafia goons stepped in as NPCs to altruistically remind us that sacrificing beloved heroes on the alter of political agenda is always universally acceptable. The man just oozes grace and intellectual honesty. It was probably the 2nd most noble thing he's done (after ousting the critically panned Amy Hennig from her position at ND to appease all those misogynists who have always been so vocal about hating her work, like Uncharted).

    Put simply, it's Schindler's List 2: Schindler's Fist meets Captain Marvel (though perhaps not as deep as the latter). If you buy this game only once, I'm afraid you're part of the problem and need someone miserable, aggressive, and uninformative to re-educate you.

    If you have to choose between feeding your dog or buying this game, then that feeling of self-anointed moral superiority will more than make up for the dogless days ahead. Trust me. My dog died.

I didn't like the story i tried to but I couldn't .

    Story: I'm not going to spoil the story, the story is probably going to decide if you like the game; but everybody as pretty much spoiling it anyway, so most people have an opinion on both sides. But why is the story so diverse? because they changed the tone, themes and characters, which lead this major shift.
    These are nothing wrong about changing all three at the same these in some others game, like persona where these no real story connection to past entities, but when this connection to past games, like in mass effect 2, there will be some problems if you did this.
    However, This can be seen as artistic and brave to some, like when tomb raider did it. Tho, to others, can be seen as disrespect to fans and the original game, like Bomberman: act zero. In the end, it comes down to context, to how it executed.

    Then finally I answer the question of why this happens? I believe two things are to blame, the original no real criticism and Hype going they and fans head. I believe because the original had no criticism, it had no need to improve; which lead to the reason why the gameplay doesn't; but hype and the acclaim because the story, lead to an echo chamber that made the story.
    The story came from thinking they can do whatever they want, what they wanted was to tell a different story, and not the story fans fell in love in.

    The let get this out of the way if the game was not last of us 2, would people care about the story, probably it's 25-hour game at that length in a story-driven game, it needs to be good, but It would not be as diverse as would be no hype.
    Most other reviewer masterpieces either start with predecessors that had criticism work off of like witcher 3 or breath of the wild or suppose to be one-off that has no sequel like portal or Limbo. Nearly all games that are an acclaimed masterpiece have one predecessor or a sequel that is not as good as that for multiple reasons; Last of us 2 is that game.
    However, they were a high chance Last of us 2 would have never live up to fans expectations, the hype was nearly at the end of the universal, and I think most would have been a little disappointed no matter.

    That why I'm giving this game 6 because if it was not last of us 2, this game is a 7 out of 10; be this is last of us 2 and I'm going to be honest; I'm also disappointed.    … Expand

    도저히 1편팬이 어떻게 하면 싫어할지를 연구한게 아니고서야
    어떻게 이런 플롯이 나왔는지조차 의심되는 이 게임은 모든 부분에서 1편을 부정한다.

    그리고 대망의 엔딩에서 당신은 허무감을 느낄것이다.

    이딴게임이 10점이라고? 메타점수 95점이라고? 아무리 생각해도 1편과 비교해서 나아진점은 별로 없다.

    하지만 캐릭터, 스토리, 그리고 이 스토리를 풀어내는 스토리텔링이 매우매우매우 실망스럽다.

    This isnt the Naughty Dog we used to know - most of the old employees left when the woke brigade took over. The game is utterly lazy and improves in no way from the previous beyond graphics. A few steps above a walking simulator . The legacy of the last story line is destroyed and replaced with shoe horned political nonsense. Unfortunately this was not the case. The story is a mess. The characters action does not make sense in comparison to the first game.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
