    The critics that scored this game should be ashamed. 20hr into the game and I’m really struggling to keep going. The characters mean nothing to me. The combat is boring and I am yet to see any a.i improvements to enemies. The skill tree seemed interesting but it never adds anything to gameplay. Looking back now naughty dog have always been well overrated.     The first one was way better. I am disappointed at the gsmeplay. Part II appears to be nothing more than an anthology of events or a half-decade covering half of the characters' prior storylines. I definitely recommend playing it at some point, but not for $60-70 dollars. Wait until it goes on sale.

If you didn't like that gameplay, you won't like part II's gameplay. the story is alright, not great, but the part that was hardest for me was having to play as abby for 8+ hours straight. the pacing was very off, which is unfortunate. I would have enjoyed this game much more if ellie's playtime and abby's playtime was split equally on each day and not at the end of journey in seattle. this game had potential, unfortunately it didn't completely live up to the hype for me. still a solid game overall.… Expand

    Se sabe que lo que caracterizo a la primera parte fue su excelente historia y gameplay, pero parece que al realizar la segunda parte no les importo afectar lo ocurrido en la historia de la primera parte para favorecer esta secuela. El gameplay es lo mismo sino que mas refinado los graficos si exprimen la PS4 pero la historia es del asco favoreciendo a los nuevos personajes sin importarSe sabe que lo que caracterizo a la primera parte fue su excelente historia y gameplay, pero parece que al realizar la segunda parte no les importo afectar lo ocurrido en la historia de la primera parte para favorecer esta secuela.     I really tried to like this game but I can't get over the fact that Ellen Page is so annoying that is makes me want to gouge my eyes out. Neil Druckman is an a** that doesn't know up from down. But the major deal breaker Ellen Page being so cringeworthy and annoying as a human being. I will not be finishing this game... it will forever be a piece of trash to me

The game has incredible looks, the playability is awesome (even though some bugs), but i have too say that the story is most disappointing thing of the game. the story goes in a try-hard way, it pretends to be realistic but fails being to predictable and convenient. The trailer is a lie for the users because it showed that Joel would had a more interesting use in the plot. everyone though that Joel would join Ellie in the story, and probably would be killed in an advanced part of the story, but sadly you just looked for an easy, illogical and convenient situation to kill him in the beginning of the game. The game also fails introducing a lot of forgettable characters, that don't even have a good character development through the story. this make the game and story feel boring.
    The end feels incredibly weird, it is confusing and not corresponding the plot of hate and revenge, there is no development of the character to tell there is a mind change, but Ellie in the whole game just tried to kill and take revenge, but not thinking about mercy.    … Expand

I would just like to emphasize though, that this single story beat, does not warrant the game a decisive 0/10. There are so many aspects that go into a game, and the story is but a fraction of what the user experiences. It is almost always impossible for a game to truly deserve a 0. From Gameplay to Music to Graphics to Story, and everything else in between, there are so many facets a reviewer needs to consider.

    The numerical review standard that has been set is inherently flawed, and a simple solution would be to limit reviews to people who have actually purchased (and to a further extend, played for a couple hours) the game. Have the review be split into the core parts that define a game, such as those I mentioned before, including but not limited to; story, gameplay, ui, music, graphics, etc.    … Expand

    The Last of Us (2013) is still my favourite game. Love it from beggining to the end.

    Absolute disrespect towards the 1st game. The story and the characters are so horribly written that it doesn't even make me angry anymore, just sad. There is nothing new in the gameplay we haven't seen already in other games. The only thing that's truly great about this game are the graphics. But that's it. The quality of the story rivals the story of Star Wars VIII: The last jedi. And iAbsolute disrespect towards the 1st game. The story and the characters are so horribly written that it doesn't even make me angry anymore, just sad. There is nothing new in the gameplay we haven't seen already in other games. The only thing that's truly great about this game are the graphics. But that's it. The quality of the story rivals the story of Star Wars VIII: The last jedi. And i didn't even mention the forced SJW/gender propaganda (however, these are not the core problems of the game).
    Verdict: 4/10 (just because the graphics are amazing).

    Such a good freaking game!!! The story line, game play, little details and Easter eggs are perfect. Plus the ability to alter game play for players with different disabilities so it’s inclusive for all players it top notch! Best $60 I’ve ever spent! I’ve been playing for 20+ hours straight and don’t wanna stop

    Dog released a bigger, richer, longer and darker adventure, but its surprising story plays wickedly with the fans hopes, and question the very nature of roles, and what humanity should stand for. If only more AAA games could choose for such strong choices despite the consequences, the media would surely be more interesting

If the first game was centered around a SJW agenda, then the second would be okay in my book because you could expect more of the same. But that is not the case with part 2. That is wrong.     I put this game 2 points out of 10. A point for the game graphic and one more for the gameplay. Drackmann destroyed the TLOU franchise. I waited 7 years to play THIS game? No. Absolutely NO. I’ll just pretend that I’ve never seen this game.

While one might say that the positive reviews are the true ones, the accounts that have done both positive and negative have only 1 review and were created just today. That being said, you can use that logic to compare the numbers of people willing to make an effort to leave a review to help others who come to this site to see if they want to play the game or not as $60 is quite expensive especially for those who are avid gamers.

    My opinion of this game is that it is not worth paying for and that it is a huge downgrade from the first The Last Of Us. This is because of several factors including, plotholes, forced narrative of revenge that subsides during the climax (Ellie lets Abby go even though she has no character development that led to that conclusion, as she has killed many in her quest for revenge), bad storytelling, forced LGBTQ selling point (Same-gender relationships are fine, no one can define who can be with another but this company has used this relationship as a selling point for the game as it is advertised, and more that will be explained. While the graphics are stellar, character models feel bland, unoriginal, and worse than the first game.

    The bad storytelling and plot holes that I will mention is a specific instance from *Joels death*. Tommy just gives out Joels name and Joel himself mentions his own name even though this is not the carelessness these characters usually display. Joel made sure to kill anyone who knew of him in the first game and yet he gives his name out casually to this group of aggressive people? The death of Joel is forced so there is an incentive for Ellie to start killing and progress the forced story and it just is unbearable as you have to play as the killer (Abby).

    This game just ruins the legacy of the first game left behind and will make me feel sad every time I play the original now, as I will remember the failure of the sequel.    … Expand

    Les trolls, les haters, les pro d'une autre console qui rage sont de sortie. J'en suis qu'à quelques heures avec quelques passages fort déjà, mais je peux dire que ça reste fidèle au précédent, c'est beau, les transition sont invisible, une très bonne réalisation et une histoire qui tien la route pour le moment.

I loved the father and daughter bound between Joel and Ellie in the first game just as the bound between Lee and Clementine from the Walking Dead of Telltales. You can't just destroy a hero like that and force the fans to play complete stranger who brutally murdered that father figure in a most gruesome way. I cried when Lee Everett died in Walking Dead but the difference is he didn't just die for nothing, he died in peace feeling proud of Clementine and he had his peace with the death. But Joel got killed horribly right in front of Ellie and the spitting on the body of Joel right after his graphic killing is the most despicable insult one can make to fan base. I am done with Naughty Dog games.… Expand

    I come from the original game, I come from replaying it multiple times. And WOW. I'm impressed. First things first....... the emotion captured during playing this is unreal. I am a 220lb, 6'2" guy, and I teared up few times. The emotion is real, the loss felt is real. During playing, you become emotionally invested in the game. Secondly. Go buy it, play it, you'll love it!

    Trash game and false advertising. There is zero interactions with Joel, only flashbacks. Naughty Dog purposefully put "old Joel" in the trailers talking w Ellie, but in the game it's all flashbacks and he's younger. Pure trash and they should be fined. They destroyed what could've been an awesome sequel for political agendas. This is what you get snowflakes and liberals, enjoy your handiwork

    This game is absolutely incredible to say the very least. The writing of the game feels like a natural extension of the franchise. More as a continuation of the story in the first than a sequel. Every gameplay aspect that improved Uncharted 4 is on full display here in the best ways. Every character feels real and the circumstances surrounding their relationships are second to none.     Here you are basically takes by the neck and pushed face first into everything the writer(s) think(thought) you HAVE TO experience. With the dark tones and violence to make up for anything that is acutally engaging.
    And that is just lazy.
    With far too many missed opportunities for actual depth.
    It really feels like more of a celebration of some suppressed adoration for violence, that the writer(s), than anything else.
    Violence turned up to 11. Is this still a game? Should one still be allowed to call it that?

    This makes it a very, very uncomfortable experience. In the way it is uncomfortable when somebody who you just got to know, who are drinking a beer with, everything being amicable, suddenly starts to tell you how he wished someone would kill all the...you get my point.

    Yes I liked the first game. No I do not recommend to those who are looking to play the sequel. Story-wise.

I believe games and other media should challenge their audience and their beliefs, but if you're going to do that, you have to do it REALLY well. This game was not done well. The graphics are phenomenal, but graphics don't make the game, that's why it's not a zero.
