    This is so sad how they wasted whole potential of the game. The only good thing about it are graphics, nothing else. Characters are poorly written and the story is just bad. I wish that this game wouldn't come out, so someday we could get real The last of us.

Quem jogou o 1 e a expansão da historia da ellie entrou na pele dos personagens. É como se você se tornasse o Joel e a Ellie. Quando a galera vai jogar o 2 eles querem que a narrativa continue assim. Queriamos(pelo menos eu) ser a Ellie(ja tava na cara que ia dar merda pro joel e era vez da Ellie ser jogavel) mas daí o que eles fazem? Fazem tu entrar na pele da "antagonista" e mostrar que ela é uma boa pessoa apesar de ter feito aquilo que fez. Mano quando tu joga tu se torna o personagem eu não iria querer saber da história de ninguém que matou alguém que eu gosto. Iria direto para retaliação. Fizeram uma história "bonita" mas poderia ser outro jogo só da Abby depois para o povo ver os dois lados com calma. Mas não enfiaram na guela do jogador que ele teria que ver os dois lados e nem teria um momento de escolha. Espero que entendam isso ao invés de simplesmente acharem que sou caixista(nunca tive xbox sempre tive PS), homofobico ou imaturo. A parada é simples o povo queria jogar com a Ellie encarnar ela ou no máximo o Joel. Tudo bem a Abby querer a vingança dela mas deveria ser em um jogo individual. Tudo ficou muito misturado. Uma hora tu é a Ellie outra a Abby... não tinha como. Não é questão de ter final feliz é questão de consistência. Isso funciona em filmes e séries pq você não controla ninguém.     A total spit in the face to the first game, introducing characters who are far from being relatable and totally disregarding and butchering the main characters everyone loves, the game may be stunning with good gameplay but if the story is at the level of a bad fan-fiction the whole experience is absolutelly ruined.

    Spineless corrupt critics got paid off to leave positive reviews and metacritic is deleting negative reviews. Sony allows a full sex scene in this while censoring bikinis in japanese games because they are racist. This game suck. My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.

The game is perfect, if there's something you would hate is Ellie being lesbian, maybe bi, and playing half the game as, but the game is really perfect. The only thing that i don't understand is Joel's death by the start of the game and my ps4 producing that video quality, the graphics are amazing.
    As I'm playing looting and crafting the only thing that was in my mind is BATTLE ROYAL, this game will be more successful than any of the others because that's what the game is : a survival game.
    I really wish that players put their true ratings because there is no way this game can have less than 9.5    … Expand

    Definitely far from perfect. Graphically downgraded, more cinematics than Gameplay and the Joel dead was definitely bad, a beloved character can't die that way

    This game blew my expectations! Super amazing game play and open world exploration. The dynamics of the game play from the fight scenes to the intense story line were phenomenal. I know that most people won't agree with what happens to some of the characters but this game is just amazing.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I played part one several years ago, and it was spectacular and I'd consider it one of the best games I've ever played.
    I've been looking forward to this game since the day it was announced and have literally been counting down the days- I got hit with spoilers which is a huge bummer but I still kept my head high and had faith in Naughty Dog to pull off a masterpiece like they did with the first game. Sadly, and in my personal opinion, they didn't pull through.

    The game-play mechanics and graphics are absolutely incredible and it is obvious that they took every small detail into account, but where it fell short was the story and this is why.
    You play half of the game as Joel's killer which I thought was a complete bore, I didn't really enjoy playing as Abby whatsoever despite ND's attempts at making the player like her and paint our beloved main characters from the first game as enemies. I never expected myself to be rolling my eyes and yawning during the game I held a preorder with for just under three whole years.

    Certain characters were also unrecognisable and had all the qualities which made them so loved in the first game thrown away completely.

    The ending was unexpected, but anticlimactic. Ellie has killed hundreds and hundreds of people without hesitation, but when it comes to killing the person who shot Joel's leg off and murdered him with a golf club, shot Jesse in the face and killed him instantly, and shot Tommy in the face with the intent of killing him but missed his brain- she decided to let her go.

    If I was rating the game off of game-play and graphics alone it'd be a 9.
    If I was rating it off the story alone it'd be a 3, which is thoroughly disappointing from a company which I had so much faith in.    … Expand

    If you really like The Last of Us, then please don't play this game. Its story telling and characters ruin the franchise. It's almost like a bad tumblr fanfiction at some points. Just go and play the original game. And then just let it be. Let it end with the first one and never touch the second part. It will ruin your view of the whole franchise.

    The graphics, visuals and gameplay are great. i really enjoyed the flashbacks, the bonding with Ellie and Joel made me happy. The story on the other hand I didn't enjoy at all. I'm sad to see the story to play out in this game.

I dare say that for this type of detail this second installment surpasses the first, however due to the different endings many prefer TLOU1. Honestly, for a franchise that's beloved more for it's storytelling and well written characters, there's almost nothing redeeming about this game. It kills one the most important and loved game characters in such a meaningless fashion, and to top it off, it forces you to control, and fails to make you empathize with the very drab and poorly written character that effortlessly cut down Joel. It further rubs salt in the wound by failing to satiate your need for revenge, by having Ellie suddenly have a change of heart and let the ever so horrible and unlikable Abby go. You can tell the creators pandered more to the fringe and widely disliked online personalities like Anita Sarkeesian, and had no issues with ignoring real fans of both gaming and these characters. What made Ellie such a great character was not because she was gay, but rather that she was beautifully and masterfully written. Her being gay didn't define her, but rather helped flesh out an already believable character. It felt natural. The characters added to this game feel forced in their design, and are one dimensional, as if their only defining traits are their sexuality , or gender. There's absolutely nothing appealing about them, and it makes it difficult to like, or empathize with these characters. Ellie, Joel, Tommy, along with a handful of new characters were perfect, but as a whole, they missed the mark with what made the first game so great. If you were a fan of the first game, save yourself the disappointment, or at least lower your expectations drastically before playing this. The best we can do is pretend it's a horribly written fanfic, and only acknowledge that the first game exists.

    Pros:
    -Existing characters still likable, and offer up an amazing performance
    -Some of the better graphics on the PS4 behind maybe God of War
    -Music and sound design is out of this world and creates an immersive experience

    Cons:
    -For a game that relies on telling a good story, it just seems thrown together, as it does no justice for franchise defining characters
    -Most new characters are just generally unlikable or poorly written (with the exception of Dina and Jesse)
    -TLoU has never been highly regarded for it's gameplay, and it hasn't improved in the sequel
    -AI is still extremely bad, as it was in the first game
    -Forcing the player to assume control of a poorly written one dimensional character like Abby    … Expand

    This game is trash. This game by far is the literal definition of getting J E B A I T E D. Play something else and don't waste your time. It's kinda like TLOU 1 being the original star wars and TLOU 2 being the newer movies ( episodes 8,9)

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. "When we have we don't appreciate, when we lose, we take revenge." It is with these words that I would characterize The Last of Us Part II.
    At first I hated the game and the story, but after thinking about what I saw, I changed my mind and consider the story of this game, if not great then definitely cool and important for the industry.
    Abby's character loses his father and the decision is revenge. She does it viciously, killing Joel in front of Ellie. The consequences are obvious - Ellie takes revenge for Joel and almost completes what she should, but STOP .. what should? Revenge?
    In this cycle of revenges, we understand one SIMPLEST thing - revenge does not lead to anything good, it will not become easier for anyone, it won't bring people back and etc. We are convinced of this both from the side of Abby, who losed all her friends and everything as result of revenge and from the side of Ellie too, who losed her friend Jesse, almost losed Dina (pregnant!) and Tommy.
    That's why revenge does not lead to good, and if players understands it then it will be the best experience from this game, and if not they will simply obscure it and will not understand the message of the authors.
    About the moment (actually a couple of moments) where Ellie were angry to Joel for pulling her out at the end of the first part. These words describe this in full - "When we have we don't appreciate, when we lose, we take revenge."

    Drackman clearly took the BRAVEST move, turning the story around the way it was done and madmen like him are the engines of the industry, not otherwise.    … Expand

    Visually stunning and passionate, vicious combat and fun stealth.
    This game is better than the first one and anybody that doesn't agree is just wrong.
    They played the shock value in this game much like Neegan did with the walking dead, it's rough to experience, but builds on the drive of the main character.
    People need to stop being pu##ies and enjoy.

Do not pay attention to the critics review they were all paid to day good things about this pos game. We all wait a long time for Neil just to take us out back and put us down and take our money.

    Love the marketing on this game. They sold the game on Ellie and Joel, some deceptive **** right there. Graphics are great, game play about the same, story utter nonsense. You can pat yourself on the back Neil right after Abby gets off you.

И такого, к сожалению хватает. Но сюжет плох не только из-за таких вот натянутых моментов, так же ещё мотив сюжета крайне примитивен, а причина так вообще высосана из пальца, всё это уже давным давно видели и все это уже затёрто до дыр.
    Концовка вообще меня заставила сжать геймпад от злости, и начать сожалеть что я потратить деньги на диск с игрой, поиграйте, и вы поймёте, о чём я.
    Также оптимизация желает оставлять лучшего, моя PS4 Pro кипятилась и шумела, и я мог бы понять если бы она ещё при этом выдавала адекватные кадры, но довольно частенько меня сопровождали неприятные просадки.
    О гемплее особо сказать ничего ультра-вау не могу. Анимации по сравнению с первой частью стали заметно лучше, но колоссальной разницы я не заметил, ну разве что ещё коммуникация врагов друг с другом стала лучше в диалогах, они зовут друг друга по именам и не просто кричат реплики, а активно переговариваются - это прикольно. Но бывают частенько такие моменты, когда щелкун грызёт условного бойца ФОВ, а его кореш стоит почти в плотную и кричит его имя вместо того чтобы стрелять, выглядит это весьма комично.
    В заключении скажу: как отдельный проект 6 из 10, но как наследник уже почти классической игры 2 из 10, в основном в игры я играю ради геймплея, но эта одна из немногих игр, которая заставляет играть ради сюжета (по крайне мере первая часть), здесь достойного продолжения истории я не увидел, и обидно не за деньги, а за очередные порушенную надежду.

    Playing the first game I was hugely excited for the second. Some of the places the game takes you is surprising and unexpected. If you were to ask me I wouldn't have taken the game in that direction. However, for the story it all makes sense. Some chapters are dislikeable at first then once you get to know them they become likeable.     The hate on top of this game is basically because the fanboys filled their asses with expectation because of a trailer thinking that the game would be according to their imagination, Naughty Dog came up with an original script, and now they don't have a game anymore with Marvel movie script.

    I thought this game was great, no story was going to live up to the original and this was what I hoped for, a game that made you think what it was all about, the revenge theme throughout was really well done, if you want a game with a happy ending you're playing the wrong game and should know that going in.

Story is **** m, a revenge plot where in the ending, you don't revenge. Ending horse****, Abby is unlikable. Joel was done dirty in this game, and writing made me laugh out loud a couple of times.     Just finished it. It's bad. It's a terrible revenge story that has forgotten all character building from part 1. The gameplay is as dated as the first game, but the writing is one of the worst I've seen in a game without even having to acknowledge the political agenda. Watch it on twitch if you have to, but don't waste your money.

Most of them haven't even played the game, let alone experienced it. FYI, killing off a beloved character doesn't equate to bad writing or story. IT'S A VIDEO GAME. It has to be judged by everything not story. Gameplay is samey but refined, the polish is incredible (it's a naughty dog after all) and the music and tone is phenomenal. This is already feeling like my GOTY. Form your own opinions ppl, not what the mob says and in this particular case, ignore the negative user scores.… Expand
