    Als Stand-Alone Game welches nicht mit The Last of Us in Verbindung stünde, wäre das spiel sogar recht gut! Erwartet man jedoch eine Stilgleiche (oder ähnliche) Fortsetzung zu Teil 1(so wie es eigentlich durch den Namen „Part 2“ impliziert wird), so wird man wohl nicht glücklich.     Erwartet man jedoch eine Stilgleiche (oder ähnliche) Fortsetzung zu Teil 1(so wie es eigentlich durch den Namen „Part 2“ impliziert wird), so wird man wohl nicht glücklich.

    Die Charaktere gleichen denen aus dem ersten Teil kaum bis gar nicht, ausserdem sind die Beweggründe auch recht unverständlich. Anstelle eine anständige Story zu produzieren, hat man sich mehr mühe gegeben, möglichst viele Minderheiten im Spiel vertreten zu haben. Das ist an sich kein Problem!, jedoch macht sich Naughty Dog hier nicht die mühe, dann auch tiefer auf diese Themen einzugehen. Ausserdem ist das Spiel viel zu lang gezogen und enthält komplett unnötige und sinnfreie Plots. Zudem ist das Ende (und meiner Meinungen nach fast das gesamte Spiel) sehr sehr enttäuschend und unbefriedigend!! Das einzige gute an dem Spiel ist das Gameplay, die Grafik und die Musik. Die Story und die Charaktere jedoch....

    Als grosser Fan von The Last of Us (PS3) und Remastered, kann ich TLOU2 NICHT EMPFEHLEN!!

    (Zusätzlich kommen noch falsche Versprechen sowie Flase Advertising von Naughty Dog hinzu. (Fake Trailer welche die Fans in die irre Führen sollen). Aus diesen Gründen 0 Punkte; nicht weil das Game an sich schlecht ist, sondern weil es nicht das Spiel ist welches Naughty Dog versprochen, angepriesen und vermarktet hat.)

    beautiful graphics and fun gameplay. but a generic tale of revenge told twice over, unrelatable characters and forced agendas. a decent game in itself, but failed to live up t the hype it created. worth a play, but no real replay value once you finish the lackluster story iine.

    The game has some of the best and most accessible gameplay and sounddesign, alongside amazing graphics. Sadly that's not why people such as me wanted to play this game. It was the story that attracted us, and that was also the most dissapointing part of the experience. Which is why the score is so low. Had it not been for the amazing crutches it stands on it would have been a zero

    terrible story. absolute polluting of the beautiful game the first one was. the game was still beautiful, but that was it. just an eye candy. wish they didnt make the second one at all. so that the first one could be just left as a masterpiece with the future story depending on each player’s imaginations.

    The only good thing about this thing is the graphics, it shows that this game is not made with the intention that people enjoy it but to make political propaganda and impose the political idealism of certain sectors in addition to forcing the politically correct to the people and not only that it shows that the intention of the game is to make a hate speech towards men.

    As a stand-alone game, it would have been a good 'depressing' game (I'm not opposed to those), but still not great. Ellie didn't feel like Ellie, Joel didn't feel like Joel, the whole universe just didn't feel like the original and as everyone has mentioned - character development and the sequence of events is just poorly executed and you're just left feeling frustrated being forced into playing characters you don't want to play, carrying out actions you don't want to carry out - all because the writers are hell-bent on TELLING you to feel a certain way - which ultimately has the opposite of the intended effect and thus takes you out of the immersion which the original game did so well.

    I understand what they were trying to do, but if they would have given the fans their cake to eat (having Joel and Ellie with more airtime/character development), while also implementing a shock/revenge twist plot further down the line - everyone would have been happy. Hopefully in another 7 years if there's a part 3 they'll start to get more user feedback before committing to the storyline (and get another director or bring Bruce Straley back).    … Expand

    Terrible story and too many things don't make sense for the characters. Graphics and gameplay itself are pretty good but the story is just that bad its hard to overlook in a linear game. Would not recommend

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The story betrays its writers’ assumptions about revenge, and they are mistaken. This is at the core of what is causing such a negative reaction from so many people. The way Joel died was a deep humiliation to Ellie. I could accept Joel dying, but having Ellie be held down and forced to watch like that was unforgivable. I wanted revenge and I felt no guilt about wanting revenge at any time. I hadn’t even played TLOU1, but I wanted Abby to die screaming after what she did. I’m gay myself, and I loved the inclusion of Lesbian and Transgender characters. I loved Abby’s representation as a cis-gender, heterosexual, and yet gender-nonconforming individual. The gameplay was excellent and the visuals were stunning. Nonetheless, no amount of zebras, dogs, kids, or any of that was ever going to cause me to empathize with Abby. She should have at least been fully humiliated by Ellie if they weren’t going to let us have the satisfaction of killing her. I’ve read quotes from people involved in the making of the game saying that Ellie chose not to finish drowning Abby because of the part of her that “still has some humanity”, but these people clearly do not understand humanity. They seem to want to villify revenge and depict it as unsatisfying, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Revenge is a natural, baked-in part of what it means to be human. If you read a bit about what really happens in intertribal violence, you may realize that revenge is a very deeply ingrained part of human nature. If you have ever experienced revenge, then you know that it is in fact very satisfying to get someone back after they’ve humiliated you. This story subjects you to the humiliation and murder of characters you identify with in a way that elicits a very natural desire for revenge, and then spends much of its remaining time trying to get you to feel empathy for the humiliators instead of giving you the revenge it has made you want. Probably with most humans, the writers are playing a losing game. I loved the gameplay but the story certainly lost that game with me. I still want Abby to be fully, deeply humiliated and then killed. I have regrets or remorse about wanting that, either. The game did succeed in making me want to see Abby suffer.… Expand

Un juego que sucede lo inesperado y que te lleva a un escenario realista de los personajes. Aún sin estar presente, durante todo el juego llevas Joel dentro de tu cabeza, ya que si no lo haces te darás cuenta que pierde sentido todo lo sucedido. Solo un pequeño error le veo al juego y eso por parte de la historia de Abby y los niños, la cual para mi gusto no tiene sentido ya que se pierde de vista un poco la problemática principal. A pesar de esto un gran juego con excelentes escenarios, gran aprendizaje y una historia sin perder el sentimiento original de The Last of Us Parte l.… Expand

What really upsets me is the storytelling, and some of the unnecessary turns the game takes. I loved the first game. However in this game I often was forced to do something I didn’t want to do, and I was often disappointed or to some degree angry at how the game played out. To be honest I'm a big fan of the franchise and I think that there is a lot of good things about the game on the graphics and the music, the sound of the water and the nature. I enjoy most of the game but the history. I think that there is a lot of no sense. How ever even the game doesn't have that memorable experience as The last of us, the truth is that the game have a propose and has been completed by the creators. I don't hate Abby for been Abby but I have feelings about the fact of her behavior and the way she killed Joel was so cruel, I do understand the revange but not the brutally on that. At the end of the day Joel killed her father but didn't tortured him.… Expand

    Really really really bad story, one of the worst stories in history. Everything is perfect in this game except the story. It really should not win the “Game of The Year” award because of the horrible story.

    Many people really hope that the game makers do not get this award so they can learn a lesson, they really do not deserve this award.

    If you mainly care about graphics and gameplay, this game is decent. But if you're like me, having at least a slight desire to enjoy a well-crafted story, then TLOU2 failed miserably on this aspect. If the graphics and gameplay scored 7, then the story scored a negative 5 since it ruins everything about this game, including the graphics and gameplay.

And yeah, woke agendas are fine and all if you make the narrative a hippy-dippy accept-all-no-matter-how-freaky-or-delusional-they-are plot, but then make the tone and outer narrative somewhat pleasant to at least try and convince us to that ideology. This mixup doesn't work. It's just confusing. Maybe because they tried to take a previously established entity in this weird direction rather than just creating something new and explicit? (Because there would probably have been less controversy then, right?) I don't know, fact is I couldn't stand the mashup of ultra-teen-angst and crazy preachiness. These themes just don't work together. It was like Duke Nukem Forever had a love child with Agony and it was raised in an American Public school to be a gender fluid Identity Politics professor. Give us one or the other and a little more variety to the gameplay and more useful sneaking mechanics next time, please.… Expand

    An amazing game, Loved every bit of it. Some things could have been done differently, but overall it has a wonderful plot and so much smooth and satisfying gameplay.

If they narrowed the scope of the story and made it 15 hours instead of 30 I might have rated it higher. I can forgive a crap story if the game is fun. There’s definitely moments of great gameplay but they are spreadTerrible story. If they narrowed the scope of the story and made it 15 hours instead of 30 I might have rated it higher. I can forgive a crap story if the game is fun. There’s definitely moments of great gameplay but they are spread too thinly throughout it. Also the trans character has a way more interesting story than the two leads and for some reason is the supporting character... whatever. Look they should get acknowledged for trying to add much needed diversity in the game but at the same time they deserve to be savages over the narrative cause it simply makes no sense/kind of wastes your time. It’s fun to blow people apart with the hunting pistol and flamethrower (and hilarious because the game is trying to make you dislike violence/think of the enemy as human).     My bias: I did not agree with Joel's actions at the end of TLOU. I was hoping that this story would pick up where that left off and explore that side of him a bit more. Redemption. I was hoping for a further understanding into the infected, a hope for the cure, a rebuild of civilization, etc.

    But nope. The game wants us to play as Ellie because scumbag Joel had it coming, right? He killed the one and only person who could develop a vaccine...... sure, that's very believable. In a harrowing scene, Abby & co kill him. Now Ellie is pretty cool and the dynamic between her, Dina, and Jesse plays out nicely. It's convincing. We see her character evolve. Then I see "Seattle Day 1" and we're thrown into the game again as Abby. I understand what they're trying to do here but I simply do not care for it. I don't need to go through the _entire_ journey again. A simple cutscene would suffice. I stopped playing.

    I don't really have anything new to add other than what's already been said. The technical execution here is flawless (graphics, gameplay, score, etc.) but the story is intentional emotional torture. They introduce characters only to kill them off and then force-feed you Abby's (the antagonist but not really because we live in a complex world!) perspective so we can walk a mile in her shoes. Once the campaign turned and I saw "Seattle Day 1", I immediately stopped playing and watched the ending playthrough on YouTube so I could skip over the next 15 hours or so of playing the same game over again with a new character that I really don't want to care about. Yes, I'm being emotionally dense but video games are escapism and trying to stretch the medium and introduce complexity for the cool brownie points such as story being told out of order, force-empathy with a brand-new character, etc. are stunts that will ensure that this game is remembered for all the wrong reasons.

    There's a fundamental disconnect between the story the game wants to tell and the story the audience wants to hear. Forcing us to empathize and humanize an antagonist to introduce complexity is not the direction this game should have taken. If you want to take those kinds of "risks", do it in a new property and leave this one alone. Too late now, I hope you feel like Joel did after the ending of TLOU.    … Expand

The answer is very simple, and it does not only concern the ground level plot and how it is awfully slammed inside the game chronologically speaking, but even all the terrible actions that Naughty Dog and Sony made when the leaks came out. And most importantly, WHY all the leaks came out in the first place. I can not come up with the worst scenario possible when i think of the release on this game.… Expand

    I see a lot of mixed feelings. I can imagine not everyone is glad. But I totally loved the story. It didn't feel like a 2.0 for me but a totally new story for me.

It happened to me several times, for example, that a ladder got stuck in my body and I could walk with it in complete comfort. In any case, these small mistakes could be overlooked if the story of the game was not worth it at all. Don't get me wrong, the idea of ​​playing as Abby isn't the worst. But when Joel was killed before Ellie's eyes at the beginning of the game, I thought the game would be about revenge and how she would cope and survive outside on her own. Which was partly true, but only partly. I really didn't want to play for Abby from the middle of the game, and find out she had the right to kill Joel. And not to mention about that end. If Ellie had endured it all and sacrificed so much, why the hell didn't she kill her? (I don't want to offend anyone with this next opinion) And please, why do you have to put all those things around gay and trans gender people there?     First: the graphics are amazing. It plays like the first part. The mechanics and the controls are almost the same. Which isn't bad, because it feels good. I really enjoyed the beginning of the game. Later the game forces you to play Abby, which you probably hate, after what she has done. The more you learn about her, the more sympathy you get for her though. The longer I played, the more I realized that Ellie is the bad guy in that story.

    The game forces you to do some things you don't like doing, like play a fight between Ellie and Abby. If the game wanted to achieve the bad feeling you get, while you fight, it did very well. I personally didn't like that very much and it feels weird to fight a character, you played, you feel for and you don't want to kill. The fight ends with Abby sparing Elies and Dina's live. At this point you could have ended the game, what happens after this, isn't really interesting and doesn't change the outcome. At this point, I just wanted the game to be over. But it kept going. And made me hate Ellie.
    The end wasn't really satisfying, but I still am happy that I finally finished it.

    The game is not as bad, as many reviews say it is and overall I enjoyed it. But there are some problems for me personally. Sometimes the game was really predictable. Sometimes you could tell that around the next corner a cutscene with a surprise attack is waiting, or that someone dies. But sometimes it really is unpredictable and I had 1 or 2 "wait what!?" moments. I think the game is a bit too long. In my opinion, there were too many jump scares. I know what I was getting, when I bought the game. A bit of horror is good. But jump scares are cheap. That is my opinion, if you like this kind of stuff, this is for you. If not, you're going to have a bad time.    … Expand

    The game didn't fulfil my expectations I had going in which is why I'm giving it a negative review. If the story and character building in a narrative driven game is not there then it's not a good game overall in my perspective and it's deserving of a low score.

    There was a bit too much excessive disturbing violence in my taste but I'm not gonna hold it back for that but I didn't feel it was needed/justified.

    The only enjoyable part is the gameplay and quality build of the game world itself which the hard working and crunching Naughty Dog staff deserve all the praise and love for.

One large part of the game, however, is the very same story that I said is relentless. That is why it isn't fun. The story, while not fun, is immersive, engaging, and is entertaining... and messy. It undoubtedly has pacing issues. But these pacing issues are resolved as the narrative slowly intertwines and brings all its aspects to head before inevitably wilting into its end. The story gives the player time to experience wholesome moments of love to alleviate the heavy atmosphere, but before long, assorted pieces of the narrative's tone outweighs other pieces. The beats and progression of the characters and all their stories ebb and flow. The game explores humanity with a dive into the depths of the inky black emotions of hate, disgust, selfishness, and deceit. Eventually, there is a long slog upwards, but you really have to push and pull through the waves out of those depths. When you break the surface of the waters, you see little glimmers of hope like stars in the night sky. If we just squint we can see finer details that can highlight the better parts of us, the selflessness, sympathy, understanding, and forgiveness. We see the forest for the trees, and can analyze ourselves. How much do we really understand about ourselves? About each other? This games asks a lot of the player but it gives back. It is not a must play. It is a must finish. You may not like the direction the story goes, but it is worth the experience. It brings itself together in shaky, exhausted fashion that mimics Ellie and likely the player. Its tale comes to its simultaneously climatic and anti-climactic ending as it sends its messages home to wrap up Joel and Ellie's legacy.… Expand

I have to admit that the story got to me every second I played, the scenario, the tension that many parts of the game gave me was really good. I had no technical problems, I believe that is why my experience was really better than many people

Это не первая часть и не продолжение первой части в плане сюжета, это другая история на основе первой части. Да первая часть лучше, во многом благодаря тому что она в три раза короче и рассказывает простую, но уникальную историю. Вторая же часть претенциозная, с абсолютно другим способом раскрытия истории, но при этом не менее уникальна чем первая. Легко могу понять почему игра может не понравиться, но всё же призываю людей шире смотреть на вещи и не быть предвзятым к новому. Геймплей и визуал безумно вкатили, я и первую часть прошёл уже раз шесть потому что мне очень нравится именно играть в last of us, а во второй части это просто за гранью возможного в моем понимании. Сразу после финальных титров повторно прошёл ещё пару арен потому что не наигрался. Из минусов для себя отмечу неуместного «босса», финальную драку и редкое ощущение, что я играю в uncharted, а не last of us. История 8/10 из которых один бал за уникальность, геймплэй и визуал 10/10. Для сравнения первая часть, история 9/10, геймплей и визуал 9/10. Ставлю 10 потому что категорически не согласен с тысячами нулей от людей которые даже не играли. При другом раскладе поставил бы 8. Ну и повесточка, она есть. И плохо в ней что она очень толстая, прям «для самых маленьких». От игры с такой проработкой я ждал более изящного раскрытия лгбт тематики, что конечно разочаровывает.
