I know lots of people were mad about Joel dying but his death is used as a means to drive the plot forward and develop Ellie as a character. Really don’t think the story was as bad as so many people were making it out to be. That said, I will I enjoyed the first one a little bit more. Expand

Any game can be argued to be imperfect but nit picking aside, I can't think of any other game more deserving of a 10. I feel for Naughty Dog given the organised and malicious review bombing, but hey - if the main reason is an adverse reaction to the fate of key characters, then it's a credit to the game how intensely connected players are to those characters. I feel for Naughty Dog given the organised and malicious review bombing, but hey - if the main reason is an adverse reaction to the fate of key characters, then it's a credit to the game how intensely connected players are to those characters. I spent a while considering if TLOU2 was better than #1 - or if the sequel was justified. But fans wouldn't have been happy without a sequel (and dare I say there will be flaming if #3 isn't produced). But on reflection I think you have to think about this as "Part 2", and how it really does complement the first game and fills in the story. I partly agree with some who thought there should have been some player decisions allowed to drive the ending - but like a good (if tragic) novel - this is the story that has been told. And it's emotive power is apparent - which is primarily what makes it the triumph I think it will be regarded as. Cutting edge graphics, gameplay and flow are all there but secondary to this. To all the haters, get over it - life isn't all black and white and the good guys don't always live happily ever after. Expand

Please do yourself a favor and play this game without even consider all the negative reviews. Play it and then decide if you love or hate it. This game is a masterpiece, which raises the bar of video-game. This is absolute and pure art but, maybe, somebody didn't deserve it. This is a game everyone should play, not only gamers.

I do NOT judge games based on a meticulous set of principles or mechanics, such as how the gunplay felt or how the sound quality was. Instead, I judge games on the entire experience and how I felt after the credits rolled. I understand that this type of review may not be for everyone, but if you were like me in any way, I think you’ll enjoy this.

CONTEXT: The first last of us was my favorite game of all time. I say WAS because the last of us part 2 has filled its role. I understand that neither the first nor second last of us has the most inanely deep story like the Witcher 3 or something, but its execution is beyond anything I’ve ever played before.

Preface: There is, unfortunately, a LOT of troll hating going on, do not listen to it. I actually really appreciate the people who genuinely don’t like it and provide legit criticisms. As the director, Neil drunk man said, this game is going to divide people, and it certainly did. That being said, let me say why I think the last of us 2 is a 10/10.

This is NOT a comprehensive review that describes each individual component of the game (gunplay, sound, controls, etc) but rather I speak from the heart and I want to convey why I think this game is amazing. I was very nervous after the initial backlash before the game was released since the first game was my favorite of all time and I didn’t want its image to be tarnished in my mind. That being said here’s why I love this game.

IN MY OPINION, this game accomplishes everything we were told it was going to be. It shows how the cycle of violence can make anyone act unpredictably, it makes you question the motives of characters you’ve loved for years, and it facilitates every aspect of its core gameplay around the story. This game has brought up emotions in me that I have never felt from any piece of media before. It gut punches you approximately 10 times throughout the story and I believe this is why so many gamers are upset. This game does not make you “feel good“ in fact, by the very end, it’ll make you feel very sad. I may be wrong, but I feel like most gamers wanted a cool, exciting story with a happy ending (like every other story ever), but naughty dog did what most others don’t, they didn’t create THAT kind of story.

The gameplay and shooting mechanics are not the most picture-perfect refined controls ever, the scavenging does not facilitate a perfect crafting system, but every decision about every mechanic in the last of us 2 feels like it was specifically made to make the player feel grounded in reality and to facilitate the story unfolding. If you loved the last of us 1, and you have an open mind as to what fate may lie ahead for certain characters, I think you’ll very much enjoy the last of us 2. If not, that’s ok, but as someone who was extremely invested in the first game, I loved this one even more, and although I came out of this one crying (I actually did), the fact that it could elicit such strong emotions is why I think this game deserves a 10/10.

It is not perfect, the last of us 1 wasn’t perfect, no game is perfect, but the storytelling, gameplay, and characters proved to be an astonishing and powerful experience.

I will never forget this experience, and that’s a great thing.

P.S. As far as the controversial “diversity” choices made in this game, I did not feel like it took anything away from the story. It is not shoved down your throats by any means. And I say that as someone who thinks that “forced diversity” just for the sake of diversity is nonsense.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First things first: Joel deserved to die. It hurts to see such a developed and complex protagonist get killed off in the way he did, but after the events of the first game, after he doomed humanity in a bloody massacre, he had only one fate left for him. That being said, the important part isn't even that he died, it was the effect it had on Ellie, supplemented on the flashbacks given throughout the game. Immediately after opening herself up to forgiveness after what he did, she lost him in the most brutal was possible, starting a seemingly endless chain of revenge and regret. All that only to realize how emotionally draining the path of vengeance can be.

As far as the supposed agenda goes, Ellie was shown to be lesbian even in the DLC to the first game. This was no new development, and was a simple continuation to established story. Lev's revelation of being a trans male was a subtle, yet profound commentary on the issues people today face. Just because something is included in a game doesn't mean it is part of a hidden political agenda. If that was the case, then every gaming company would be actively encouraging violence or even murder. The inclusion was a subtle, refined, and well deserved nod to the LGBT community.

It was more than interesting to play a modern RPG with no freedom of choice. From Witcher, to Red Dead, to Life is Strange and beyond, every modern RPG has had some form of choice via action or dialogue to imbed the player into the protagonist, and I don't think many people took too kindly to the very real train of thought that Ellie took throughout the game. I for one, am thankful for this change of pace. I cant imagine an impressionable and bloodstained teen reacting very differently to her surrogate father's death, justified or not. I completely understand why she did what she did after looking back on all she ever knew in this hellscape of a world. Abby, on the other hand, lived in our pre-apocalyptic world, and because of that had a similar view to us, the players. I found myself understanding and agreeing with every choice she made, even if I hated it. It was a brilliant way of developing a complex villain. Every choice made by every character was tailor made for that character, and letting the viewer change that with choice would tarnish the purity of the development. This was storytelling at its finest.

The gameplay was simply fantastic. There were parts that I found myself frustrated, yet mesmerized due to the difficulty. The action was real. It was dangerous. It was to be avoided if possible at the threat of guaranteed death. It fed perfectly into the hopeless setting painted by the brilliant graphics and storytelling. Different factions of enemies had vastly different ways of hunting you down, all requiring their own unique approach on medium to high difficulties. The subtle notes left throughout the map further expanded on the hopeless mood of the setting. Finding random elements in the world to trigger full on story scenes gave it a near open world feeling. I wish more games would venture out to create unique experiences like this.

While it may have been among the most depressing games I've ever played, it was undeniably incredible and compelling. 10/10 would recommend.

There is a ton of hate out there right now due to how this game was made but I just want to commend Naughty Dog on one the most complex stories I have been able to experience. It is definitely not an easy story and it is not for everyone. However, in a world where we are fighting for social justice this is just the kind of story we need. This game takes you on a necessary emotional roller coaster, where you see that everything is gray. You will not find clear-cut lines that tell you who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. You will not see what is right and what is wrong in this game. This game shows you why both sides (and there are many sides between Ellie vs Abby, Scars vs Wolves, and so forth) believe more than anything that what they are doing is right and justified. This game shows you that the world is grayer than you think and sometimes to see what is actually right and wrong in a situation you have to consider the other side as well as your own. We are a world divided just like in this game. We are republican’s vs democrats. We are Christians vs non-Christians. We are mask wearers vs non mask wears. We are Trump supporters vs non-Trump supporters. We are just always fighting and divided. We never take the time to understand the other side and see where they are coming from. To see that in this world there is no clear-cut lines pointing to what is right and what is wrong. Every situation is different just like every person is different. This is the type of message we need to be having in this divided world. We need to take the time to walk in each other’s shoes and see the situation from another perspective. Only then can we truly respect each other and make a difference in this world. So again, Naughty Dog thank you so much for taking the risk that you did on this game to give us a story that we truly needed. Am I sad and emotional? Most definitely! But the journey was amazing, thoughtful, engaging, and so damn realistic even for a zombie-type game. Showing us that there are no good guys and bad guys but just people. And people are messy, complicated, and very imperfect. Expand

    Absolutely a masterpiece.
A game that, as media, has shown that gaming in fact reached its maturity in storytelling.
The story belongs to the artist, to its creators. People want to take ownership and control over the story. Childish way to face the world. The traditional gamer community wants only the conventional power fantasies with heroes with happy endings. Once more: childish.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don’t typically believe in 10 star ratings, as it means that the experience was literally perfect. However, I’m giving this one full marks to offset some of the idiotic reviews/takes that other posters have made. In actuality, I would give this one a 9.5/10. I have seen some valid criticism of the game, but far more **** from people who either missed the point, did not play it, or only watched a few cutscenes. Pros: Stellar graphics and environments - Ellie and Abby traverse Jackson, Seattle, and California throughout the game. Each area is unique, and offers the player ample opportunity to explore their surroundings. Jackson is snowy and mountainous, Seattle is dark and dreary, and Cali is bright and warm. This diversity in environment allows the player to see how various parts of the United States fared during, and in the aftermath of the pandemic. Excellent mixed gameplay - slow paced exploration allows Naughty Dog to flesh out their characters through conversations. That’s right. If you only watched the leaked cutscenes, you have missed out on hours of dialogue that give better context to the characters actions. Heart pounding encounters with infected and human adversaries offer many different scenarios to mess around with. AI will often treat the same scenario differently if another attempt at a section is made, allowing for a degree of replayability. Combat is absolutely **** brutal, and can often be unsettling. Enemies will be blown apart by explosives, human victims will gurgle their last breaths after being stabbed in the throat, and every once in a while a wounded adversary will beg for their life. While this isn’t the goriest game I have played, the violence is realistic to the extent that it adds to the horrifying nature, and atmosphere of the game. New infected!:

Shamblers are disgusting and dangerous, and a new “hunter” type of enemy can often be found in waitin for Ellie or Abby, leading to some decent jump scares. I won’t say too much about the boss encountered in the basement of the hospital, but I will say that it is horrifying, difficult, and ultimately rewarding to kill. ... The Story: I’m not going to go into too much detail, but The Last of us II offers a complex, thoughtful, and devastating story. You will see fan favourite characters, both old and new killed in gruesome
fashion. One of said deaths (I’m sure most of you already know who) leads Ellie on a quest for vengeance, which ultimately leads her down a dark, and arguably indefensible path. Many people claim that the game boils down to “revenge is bad”, but I feel this is an oversimplification. If you read between the lines, you will find themes of empathy, understanding, and ultimately forgiveness. This is partly the result of a bold decision made by naughty dog, in which the player takes control, and learns the story of the games initial main antagonist. After the final scene, it is abundantly clear that there are no “hero’s and villains” in The Last of us’ universe, which is a nice change of pace from other story driven games, which tend to be more black and white. If you go into this game open minded, and allow yourself to understand the mindsets of certain characters, you will be treated to an excellent story. Cons

A couple inconsistencies in the writing: While I overall adored the writing, parts of the middle section were slightly sloppy, and dragged a little bit. For example, when you are on the island when the wolves attack, you are needlessly thrown into the middle of the fighting. At this point in the story, it would make far more sense for the player to avoid this area at all costs. Abby is trying to save Lev And Yara, yet she ran into the thick of battle?? You initially arrived on the island on a boat, which was stashed in a remote part of the island. This boat would have been perfect for a getaway, but the protagonists insist on pushing into the city to steal another boat. Levs excuse was “there is fighting back that way”. Isn’t there way more fighting around the boats you are trying to steal in the city?? I understand that Naughty Dog wanted to show this set-piece, as it served as a larger scale example of the horrors that often accompany an insatiable lust for vengeance. However, the way they led the player to this scenario seemed a little sloppy, and poorly thought out. Overall: This game is undoubtably one of my all time favourites. If you are willing to set aside your own biases as to what you think the story should be, you will likely get far more out of it.

I want to start off by saying that the game is not good, it is not bad but it's good, the game creates feelings in the gamer that were meant to exist. The game created anger and the feeling of revenge that is understandable for what to happen to Joel but I can't wrap my head around the reason why Joel died, my initial thought was that it brought something bigger to the table, something that might be bigger than Jackson, The Fireflies, The Scars or WLF but it wasn't the reason for Joel's death, the only reason for why Naughty Dogs decided to take this path was to get revenge on something that didn't even happen in the first game this means that the first game and everything that makes the first game very good is thrown out the trash to pursue something new and force new characters in the game, also forcing the player to follow a character that one is meant to be hated and two brings stupidity and a dumbass back story that can easily be as dumb as her stupid muscles, Abby character by herself destroyed the first game and the second and keep in mind that she wasn't even in the first game but let's take account of what she did to destroy this franchise

The developers created Abby's part of the campaign to make the gamer understand why Abby did what she did but the gamer doesn't care, we care about Joel and Ellie and what happens to them, not about a character who is tied to the first game but doesn't appear by killing the main reason why we played the second game and the reason why we waited 7 years for this game which is Joel, every time I decided to play the first game I'll just think of the emptiness the first game has, taking account that the second game makes me hate the first game and that's the hardest thing a franchise can do which is making a gamer hate the first game with the second game this means that developers made a perfect game but made us hate it not by changing the first game but making a second game that is so bad at telling a story that at the end of the day destroys the franchise

The story sucks and since the story is the only contact the game has to the player this means the game sucks which tears my heart out because it had the base to become even better than the first one and even worse is that naughty dog hyped this game as a successor to the first game by making trailers that have nothing to do with the final result by misleading the player to play the game but then making the gamer try to enjoy it but we can't because the simple reason is that they killed the game off in the first two hours of the game if you decided to stop playing the game after the two hours you are not missing out on anything and if you are considering on buying the game I advise you to because at the end of the day the game is a sequel to one of the best games ever and I believe that as a gamer we are obligated on playing even if I know beforehand that the game was going to be bad I would have to play it

The Last Of Us 2's story makes me hate naughty dog as a company because the money, time, manpower, equipment even the creativity to make this game perfect but the didn't, they wasted near a decade on making a game most people don't like by them wanting to send a stupid message that violence is not the answer but proceeds to kill off a great character like Joel and Jesse and if you think that at the end of the game you finally get the justice that Joel deserves your wrong because the wanted to send a message of violence is the answer but after you slaughtered hundreds of people, killed animals and killed a pregnant woman so basically Ellie lets Abby live because she remembered Joel but honestly if I was in her position and lived through the things she had to live through I, taking account that Joel has been here father figure and also the person who teaches her, protects her, defenses her, loved her and saved her I would have killed Abby the same she killed her, I hate Ellie for sparing Abby the way she and at the end of the game Ellie is left with nothing, literaly nothing she literaly started with everything and ended up nothing not even with a the feeling of fullfillment because the only thing that made her kill everybody, lose her family and lose Joel was to kill abby and doesn't even kill her.

The story is bad and I can't suggest the game but even with all the errors the game has it is decent enough to be played and to enjoy the gameplay, the conclucion is if the like the first game you won't like the second

This one has better graphics (obviously) and more refined mechanics, but a piss poor story and horrible characters. At the same time, a 0 just feels extremely unfair. There were a few legitimately good moments in the game (mainly the flashbacks with Joel), but they were the only good parts of the story. Such a shame. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

    H I S T O R I A

    J U G A B I L I D A D:
    Calificación: 9.9

Manejaremos a 2 personajes principales; Ellie y Abby. Jugar The Last of Us ll es toda una experiencia.

    A P A R T A D O G R Á F I C O:
C O N C L U S I O N E S: Lo que hace grandioso a The Last Of Us ll son sus personajes tan humanos. Gracias Naughty Dog. C A L I F I C A C I O N F I N A L: 9.9

I’m not sure where the story complaints come from. It was a human story in the world Naughty Dog created for The Last of Us. Great characters and motivations. Particularly poignant to show that things aren’t black and white, but various shades of grey.

Gameplay was tweaked slightly from the first one with no major changes. Felt very much like a “Part 2” rather than a true sequel.

It is getting a lot of hate, some for justifiable reasons and much for unjustified ones, but the emotional experience coupled with the sensory brilliance demonstrated by Naughty Dog makes this game one of the best in a very very long time. No game has called on such devotion and such emotional investment from the player. In the words of Troy Baker : You long to love this game selfishly and for your own reasons but the game refuses to do so. I honestly came to love and appreciate the game. Neil Druckmann and his team did an absolutely stunning job with this game.

Yeah I also hated the fact that I had to play Abby but, throughout her play she reminded me of Joel. No, I don't agree with what she did to Joel and I hated her at the beginning too BUT I came to understand that she blamed Joel not just for her father's death but that there was no cure and that she was left without the Fireflies too. Like how Joel softened up for Ellie, she softened up for Lev and Yara. Joel tortured people in the first game to find Ellie and she tortured Joel. We saw parts of Ellie's, Joel's, and Abby's lives. We didn't see if Joel went after the military to avenge Sarah, Tommy said that he and Joel did horrible things and he wish he didn't survive those early years.

Personally, I believe you should not hate the game just because of Abby. The entire plot is about revenge and never knowing or understanding the other side of the situation. The game showed the true harshness of surviving in a post-apocalyptic world, that you do all that you can to survive and protect those you care about. Revenge is a game where you never win it all but, you can lose it all.

P.S. that last scene where Abby is carrying Lev and Ellie is looking at them from behind reminded me of Joel carrying Sarah.

I left this game questioning what i was supposed to take from it; was it a reflection on violence, love, vengeance, or the interconnectedness of human life, or possibly a critique on spirituality? Maybe all of the above.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us: Part II took me some time to come to terms with. Gameplay wise, its very much the same as TLoU1. Which in my mind is one of the sequels failings as innovation is important. The game, and its predecessor aren't necessarily about the game play, however, which brings me to the meat of my thoughts: the story.

I knew from the beginning, from the first minute I took control over Abby, what the game's story wanted to accomplish. For most of the game it didn't work on me. The game wants you to sympathize with Abby. To understand why she killed Joel and possibly even agree with her decision; but for someone who has played through Part 1, I couldn’t do it. That combined with the game's insistence on trying to make you feel appalled by Ellie's killing of the enemies laid before her, despite nearly all of them attacking her first and forcing her to defend herself or be killed and despite Ellie herself reacting with disgust and panic in two instances at the cruelty she commits. Instead, I found myself rooting for Ellie more and more the longer the game went on.

Then halfway through it switches us into Abby's shoes once again. I was furious. Not in the least because the idea of several days – my usual turn around was slowed by being bound to my wife's schedule as she wanted to experience the game’s story with me – of progress erased so I could see the side of the story of a character I hated infuriated me and admittedly led to me resenting the sections with Abby. This resentment only got worse as the game humanized her through the introduction of Yara and Lev while failing to have her show any kind of reaction or remorse to the things she does – save for one miss able line to Lev about erasing guilt – unlike Ellie. By the end of Abby’s sections, I honestly didn’t feel sympathy for her. Her entire section only served to highlight her negative aspects as much as it humanized her. Best exemplified by the contrast between Abby and Ellies actions against Dina and Mel, respectively. When Ellie unknowingly killed the pregnant Mel in self-defense, she vomits and falls into panic due to her actions. When Abby is presented with the same choice, but knowingly, she is giddy at the idea of killing the pregnant Dina to hurt Ellie like Ellie hurt her. Abby is only stopped by Lev yelling at her for the near action.

The game then continues to hammer home how much revenge is ruining Ellie’s life in the sections dealing with her home life. She suffers from severe PTSD caused by Joel’s death. Unable to sleep or find true closure without making Abby pay. The segment is – in my opinion – very well done and made my wife and I hurt for Ellie; begging her to forget about Abby when Tommy offers her a second chance at vengeance, despite knowing fully well she can’t bring herself to. Meanwhile, Abby is in a relatively good place when we see her again before being captured by the Rattlers. This lack of equality is the crux of my issues with the Last of Us: Part II.

The game makes it abundantly clear that revenge is bad. It destroys Ellie’s life; but seemingly only for Ellie. Abby kills Joel in the beginning, fulfilling her revenge. When Ellie comes to take vengeance on Abby, Abby wins again – despite losing a few friends (many of which she would have lost anyway due to her own actions against the WLF) and leaves with Lev to find a better life. Come the ending Abby is in poor condition due to something entirely unrelated to revenge and has seemingly moved on with her life while Ellie is devastated. In the end, Ellie nearly crosses a line in pursuit of vengeance. Threatening to kill an innocent to get her revenge on an emaciated woman who doesn’t even want to fight. Sparing Abby completes Ellie’s emotional arc, finally allowing herself to let go of the drive for vengeance. Letting herself move on with grief and eventually acceptance in a way she’d never be able to achieve if she’d killed Abby on the beach. It is the blatant lack of equality in the fact that Abby receives no karmic rebuttal unlike Ellie – who suffers viciously both physically and emotionally over the game for her revenge. What we are left with is a game that only half-sells its otherwise beautiful message.

Expand

The story had so much weight behind it and the shock value at roughly the half way point when I thought I had finished the game was crazy. The progression through the story by both playable characters was amazing and the raft of emotions I experienced from this I have never been through so much during any game. For me this is the best game I've ever played. Wholly deserves GoTY and is a must play for any PS4 fan. I'm already on second play through and can't wait to experience this on the PS5 eventually. Of course you don't like death and you don't play abby either. But the game shows how you grow up in such a world and that is not easy. I can only recommend the game. Expand

Teetering on 7.5-8 for me. There is 0 fan service, the story is told in a pretty unfavorable way and has weird pacing, but I liked it regardless. The combat is standard and barely adds anything new from the first game, but it's fun anyway. It can get old especially during parts where the story felt like it was being dragged a bit, so it made getting from point A to B unenjoyable. However,Teetering on 7.5-8 for me. If a similar thing happens in real life, everything will be as shown in the game. People cannot live in peace. Game shows the truth that many people cannot accept. The game shows the nature of mankind, selfishness and etc. An absolute masterpiece.

Many of the negative reviews stem from people being unhappy about Joel’s death. I don’t really understand that as there wasn’t any other place for his story to go. Also, his death is the catalyst for the whole story. In regards to Joel’s death, I feel like most people don’t really understand that he has to deal with the consequences of what he did and that he never was a good guy per say. I almost feel like some of the people who don’t understand that are the same people who think Walter white is the good guy in breaking bad

But I really did enjoy the game, the game play was amazing it was so realistic as well, a little to realistic, but in a good way. The story wasnt terrible but I wish it were just a different story delivery like, Playing as abby for 7 hours could've been cut down some way. But other than than that great game Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm really disappointed in this story. The game looks so good, I still can't believe it how amazing this game is, the visuals, the graphics, the characters, everything. But they really made us waiting for story like this, it's just awful, I couldn't take it at all. Yea I know what Neil wanted to say but this is just horrible for me at least. They way they killed Joel, the way Ellie turned into a cold blooded killer is just not what I was looking for. It supposed to be a story about Joel and Ellie, not about some random character who has a huge desire for revenge and then we had to play with that character too. I would happily give this game maximum rating if there would be a story which makes sense and would be enjoyable. For me the game ended when Joel was brutally killed with a damn golf bat, I mean come on, he deserved so much better, we, fans deserved so much better. If I could go back in time, im sure that i wouldn't buy this game. It caused me so much disappointment. If you have 7 years to write a story, then why would you come up with something like this? I'm really sad to say this but I regret that i've bought this game. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

A true masterpiece the lives up to and expands upon the massive success of its predecessor. The first game was a witty, heartfelt, and gruesome story that gives you hope and leaves you satisfied with a near perfect ending. Though, we quickly realize in The Last of Us Part 2 that actions from the first game indeed have consequences....

The Last of Us Part 2 is a polar opposite. It’s a story of hate, revenge, loss, and devastation. There’s a partial departure from the first games protagonist/character arc and we find ourselves with a hard to stomach tale of revenge that beats you down and makes you explore the consequences of your actions. The game is constantly questioning your humanity as you desperately try to justify the escalating situations of brutality. I beat the game emotionally distraught and in deep reflection for all of the stories facets to unfold. I can confidently say that no other video game in my entire left has left me so broken, stunned, and impressed. I don’t want to ruin the game for you, as you undoubtedly MUST experience this masterpiece for yourself, but this a game that will haunt you in the most epic of ways. If you’re hoping for a happy ending, you’d be sadly mistaking.

Besides the story, this game has some of the most cutting edge graphics and accessibility functions to date and you can even play the game a second time fully customizing your difficulty level. Naughty Dog has pushed the limits of what a game can offer on the PS4 and this achievement should be praised and applauded. This game will stay with you for a long time after you play it and will leave you coming back for more. I’d highly recommend you to play it if you’re looking for something that challenges your mentally and emotionally, and aren’t afraid to experience a story that takes high stake risks. They certainly pay off.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
