    The first one was one of the best video games, and this one delivers on the same great level. Great atmosphere, storytelling and action. Intense and emotional scenes included.

    En cierta parte el juego se vuelve un poco largo aunque igual justifica por lo que uno pagó por aquel juego.
    Jugabalilidad aceptable y por último para entender bien la historia hay que jugar la entrega anterior y tener una comprensión y concentración a las partes de la historia porque por que juego representa, no es para ada sencillo entenderlo a la primera    … Expand

Well, first of all, I enjoyed playing both as Ellie and Abby, the game does show the reason why Abby killed Joel, Joel did ruin humanity after all and killed her dad. Joel got old so that might be the reason why he trusted the "new" people. In the end, you have a fight against Abby but don't kill her because Abby literally gave up everything to save this little boy called "Lev" and Ellie still has a heart and you can see because it shows Joel while she is drowning Abby and she stops drowning Abby. Both deserved better. After all, it's a good game, it has good graphics for ps4 and the sound is amazing as well, recommend playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!… Expand

    Just disappointing
    I played the first game back in 2013 on ps3 and i was just amazed how beautiful the narrative was and how complex and detailed each character was, for me it was the best game I’ve ever played. Then I decided not to buy xbox one and buy ps4 just because I wanted to experience this game once more on the next gen console. And since then I've total of 8 playthroughs and    Just disappointing

Then when part 2 was announced I wasn’t sure if I wanna play because the ending of the first was so perfect that I thought Niel Druckmann would just ruin it if he tried to continue it ( If it ain’t broke don’t fix it ) Then it came out and every single idea they put in the first game they just kill it in this one, they’re trying so hard to spoil everything you loved about the characters. I got to a point where I don’t know what am I playing. And I can’t event get back and play the first part because it’ll remind me of how bad the second one is So my advice to you if you haven’t played it and you love the first one just don’t try to ruin your experience by playing this, trust me it’s not worth it    … Expand

    Para mi fue un gran juego, increible jugabilidad, ademas de muy largo mas de una vez pense que terminaría el juego y no era así, apesar de todas las criticas me gusto mucho el final lo senti muy epico la escena en la playa junto con otras donde el juego me tubo demasiado aferrado y espero que realmente se animen a continuar el proyecto ,mejorar los vacíos que quedaron y enmendar losPara mi fue un gran juego, increible jugabilidad, ademas de muy largo mas de una vez pense que terminaría el juego y no era así, apesar de todas las criticas me gusto mucho el final lo senti muy epico la escena en la playa junto con otras donde el juego me tubo demasiado aferrado y espero que realmente se animen a continuar el proyecto ,mejorar los vacíos que quedaron y enmendar los errores que pudieron tener en esta entrega, si te gusta la primera entrega quedaras mas que encantado con esta… Expand

    Thank you naghty dog for making me fall into your trap called 'The Last of Us Part II'.
    I gave this game a 6 being nice, i could give it less.
    4 for making fantastic 10Hours of gameplay and thrilling story and just nice, Ellie is just incredible
    1+ for graphis(just 1 because after Ucharted 4 it was expected)
    1+ for an Incredible soundTrack, just amazing!!
    -2 for killing joe after like 2/3h in the game, F*** Off
    -2 for another 13h of pure sh*t
    I don't wanna play half of the game with Abby f*ck her, she's the goddamn antagonist
    I just didn't get the ending, where do we stand for Ellie, Dina and her son, Emocionally, Location??

    Look this isn't the perfect sequel, this isn't what i wanted really.

    I think if I was to have any criticisms, it would be that at some minor points it does drag a little too long, which is a similar criticism I had to some points of Uncharted 4, but I don’t think this is enough to bring it down from a 10 at all.

    10/10 doesn’t mean perfect, it never has and never will. If that was the case, no game would ever be allowed to receive a 10/10, as no game is truly perfect, not even the original The Last of Us.

    A genuine masterpiece in my eyes, with a brilliant story, top tier graphics and animations, and tense, engaging combat and stealth mechanics.    … Expand

    Игра потрясающая. От геймплея, который начинается как логичное продолжения фильма, до спорного сюжета, который и вправду не однозначный.     Начнём с того, что Нил Дракман обманул всех фемок и сделал игру про фантастическое будущее, где наступил матриархат. Что же нас ждёт в таком будущем? Множество женщин, которые делают необдуманные поступки, что приводят к смертям множества людей. Месть просто потому, что у них менструация.

    Графика - ещё один плюс в копилку Нила Дракмана. Народ, вы видели прорисовку собак? Каждая шерстинка нарисована в ручную, а массовку женщин? Такое впечатление, что они были скатаны с первой части Uncharted...

    Геймплей. Мне показалось или у женщин в этой игре (кроме главных персонажей) никогда нету огнестрельного оружия? Всегда они стреляют или с лука или идут в рукопашный бой, но огнестрельное оружие всегда дают мужчинам.

    И таких "дьяволов в деталях" просто огромное количество, что резюмирует один простой вывод: Игра от мужчины для мужчин. Это великий протест всему феминистическому сообществу который наглядно иллюстрирует то, куда может привести матриархат.
    P.S. Девятка только из-за того, что мужчина отводиться так мало времени. Можно было бы сравнить два общества и показать, что патриархат вырывается вперёд    … Expand

    I isolated myself from social medias since the 19th June till the moment I walked the game through to avoid spoilers. I haven't seen any leaks and didn't watch the trailer just because I forgot about it. I experienced so much emotions, roller coasters, felt sad and powerful, happy and bitter.

    I was really shocked to see so many hateful and aggressive comments, people are writing threats to authors, calling players who enjoyed the game dumb, destroying discs...

    Joel's death hit me hard, I really love him and his relationship with Elly are just a treasure. But that's why it was a base for a story about the hate - opposition of the first game which was about the love. In other way we couldn't share Elly's grief, though her relationships with Dina, Jessy and Tommy are sweet and warm too - we don't know them as good as we knew Joel.

    I witnessed a death of the beloved person and it haunted me for a long time. Everything reminded me about that day, music, certain food, hospitals, people who reminded me him. I felt like I'm forgetting his face and voice, that everything that left are memories about his last minutes, his last breath. It took a lot of years to cope, but now I think and talk about our greatest memories only, our jokes, movies we enjoyed, journeys we made. He left, but it doesn't change my love for him.

    Revenge never brings happiness, never erases the past. Elly waited for a relief, feeling that she did everything right. But one more death and one more child left alone will not fix anything. A moment when Elly remembered Joel playing guitar hit me hard again. For long months she couldn't remember his sight, all her dreams and thoughts were about his brutal murder, how she couldn't do anything to help him. But without killing Abby her emotions came back. Joel is in her manners, skills, hobbies - he is with her all the time. I literally cried remembering my own grief and understanding Elly's feelings at this moment. At the beginning I felt very uncomfortable playing for Abby, it was obvious from the first scene that she'll be a problem. And though I wanted back to Elly's route too, I enjoyed scenes on stadium, flashbacks about her silly, but kind father, her simple and natural a fear of the height, her inner fight to trust two young seraphites. She didn't get a relief after the revenge too - nightmares, a very risky help to enemies. Even her braid being cutted is like a symbol that she's not invincible or the most strong, somebody don't even need a clear motive to use or hurt you.

    Game is not trying to make you to hate Joel - we saw by ourselves what he did. Maybe it was a real hope for a humanity and certainly was a tragedy for families and Fireflies. Nobody can accept or justify his actions - but we all understand why he did it. For a person you love you're ready to turn the whole world upside down. Flashbacks were a best surprise for me. Maybe till the end Elly didn't "see" them, she needed to cope to accept them again in the heart.

    I spent five amazing evenings with this story and going to reach the platinum. I'm just sad how rude some people act.

    P. S. Remember that Elly loves dogs too, she petted one in Jackson and one of her gift guesses was a puppy. Also in the farm sketches she had a dog.    … Expand

    Most people who rate the game are people who saw the leaks and never played the game. Although I did see the leaks and still enjoyed the game. Its story is not as good but Im mostly someone who just plays games for the gameplay cuz that's what you do in video games play them not just sit there and watch 3 hours of cutscenes that you cant play only watch the story play it

    I did not like the final fight very much but it is what it is, it also lacks a multiplayer mode, I liked the rest, the graphics, the gameplay, the story I just liked a little but it is good

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I completed the game on hard mode, in about 25 hours. Here's some insight to my experience.
    Pros:
    -This game was gorgeous. Everything had stunning detail, the animations and visuals were beautiful. Some is the best of this generation.
    - The gameplay was very similar to the first game, yet added some new variations of weapons, upgrading and gameplay style. Whether if you played stealthily or as a brawler. I particularly enjoyed the segments of fighting the infected. It was challenging , yet enjoyable. I thought the shambler enemy was annoying, but the bloaters were terrifying and extremely fun fight against. The rat king was EXTREMELY fun to fight. An infected since day 1? Gets the mind going, like how did that many infected fuse together? It's crazy.
    -The best part of the story that made me happy were the moments that were shared with Joel and Ellie. When Joel sang for Ellie that melted my heart. After he was gone, she played that song which brought out sadness, knowing that he is gone. It was sad to see how Ellie grew to have disdain for Joel after their time together . Bringing saves out of me. Bringing emotion in a game is a plus.

    Cons:
    Joels death was cheap. I hated how he was killed. There was no context in his death . Then forcing the player to play as the killer. Abby's segment was backwards, the flashback of her father's death should've been first, then we would've known that Joel killed him in the hospital. Knowing that Joel might die by Abby's hand. The story could've been so much better.

    Conclusion:
    This is a good game. I just believe Naughty Dog told the story backwards. We saw struggle, and grief with both Ellie and Abby. If Abby was portrayed in a better light, then maybe her segment wouldn't have been so tedious. Overall, with everything together, I believe it's a good game. Definitely a game that will divide the fandom. I will continue to play it and platinum it. Though, many people won't enjoy it. ND could've done better by Joel, and Abby's story. Overall it's a good game, not Great.    … Expand

The game seemed fine until you are forced to play as this terrible monster, Abby, and then forced to SPARE HER LIFE at the end. What a waste of time. Why play a game that's all about revenge only to not get it at the end? I waited this many years for this? To see Joel get brutally murdered for no reason right off the bat, a character that was perfect and beautiful, then see his murderer get spared, without a choice of your own? How disgusting! Revenge was the answer here. Without it, the game is a waste of time and a meaningless story. Only giving it a 2 for graphics.… Expand

    The gameplay is amazing and the graphics are even better.
    I personally liked the story and how it was told. I felt a lot, and i think that's important.
    My only complain is that, as the previous game, the writers of this story have once again treated the Non-White characters awfully. There's an underlying racism that makes the experience quite less enjoyable. Also, the use of the slur against lesbians and the constant use of the Deadname of the trans character was just... meaningless. I understand is a game about cruelty and violence, but these things, as a LGBTQ person, are really out of place. You can address these things without triggering people.

    I purchased a PS4 solely for this game. I had no prior knowledge or watched/read any spoilers of what events would take place in the game. Within the first hour, well we all know what happens. Instantly after this I lost interest in the game, it felt a grind and frustrating to play. The storyline to me felt forced to sway our opinion on other characters which to me by that point I couldn’tI purchased a PS4 solely for this game. A 7 year wait for the sequel to on of the greatest video games ever made all for naughty dog to screw it up. I adored the last of us but part 2 is a terrible game. the gameplay is fun and the graphics look great but that's as far as the praise goes for this game. within the very beginning of the game Joel who is widely considered along with the likes of Lee Everett as some of the greatest father figures in gaming is killed. this was expected however the way they did it was terrible. having a man who once ran over someone he didn't trust within seconds of meeting them get tricked by someone and ultimately getting beaten to death in the most undignified way is so poor from the writing team. however i'm not as torn over this as the majority of the last of us fans as i was constantly focused on getting revenge and killing Abby. I truly hated Abby but as i was playing i was conscious of this and accepted this was naughty dogs way of setting her up to die at the hands of Ellie but this is where the game went from decent to absolutely horrible. the first half of the game sends you out on a revenge quest and when you finally get to the end time rewinds and you have to do everything you just did with Ellie in Abby's shoes up until the final confrontation. this is one of the worst decisions ive ever witnessed from a game. making you spend half the total play time playing as one of the most hated characters in video game history is dreadful. after getting back to the final confrontation between Abby and Ellie maybe just maybe if after all of this Ellie got the revenge she spent the whole game getting then I could leave somewhat satisfied but no. after the entire game is spent based around a revenge plot you never even kill Abby which absolutely baffles me. this game is truly awful from a story and writing point of view and it really seems like an entirely different studio produced this disgrace of a sequel to such a monumental game.… Expand

    Não entendo todo esse rage sobre a sexualidade dos personagens. O foco da história nem é esse, quem reclamar do game com esse tipo de argumento é porque não jogou ou tá de puro preconceito. Não é um jogo perfeito, mas traz reflexões sobre empatia, vingança, ciclo do ódio... e como esse tipo de atitude humana acaba não levando a lugar nenhum. Uma excelente jornada.

After waiting 7 years for a game which had promise and high expectations, Naughty Dog has proven to somehow break their trust with fans and anticipated gamers. The gameplay is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game because it has kept the consistancy of the first game with a few upgrades and tweaks. The storyline however, the biggest reason why fans fell in love with the first game, was the most lacking. It is clear that Naughty Dog has created a sloppy storyline based on inconsistant character development and its clear shift to focussing on new characters. Joel's death is one that most to all fans expected but the timing and execution is why the story has failed. His character in this game is clearly inconsistent with the first game as the Joel that all fans have come to love was cautious, on high alert, and not trusting of new faces. Therefore, it is not clear why in part 2, he would trust a new character, walk into an environment where he can be ambushed and then introduce himself, all while knowing the reputation he built on the first game. Secondly, the sequence of events of this game is what makes Abby a highly unlikeable character. If we learnt about her past along with Joel and Ellie's adventure after the hospital, this would have made a stronger built up tension and when Joel was killed, would have had a better pay off and stronger moral dilemma between the revenge. Joel and Ellie's relationship is also dropped which is another factor in its problem. Naughty Dog, why in the world would you get rid of the reason why fans love the story and the game in the second part to replace it with revenge and new characters, fans did not wait 7 years to see. It is clear that the overarching theme of this game is revenge. It is not a good theme. Considering Joel and Ellie's relationship had hardships because of the betrayal, it would have made more sense to make the theme forgiveness. While Abby faces the concequences of the loss of her father, we also follow the storyline of Joel telling Ellie the truth, and then Ellie learning to forgive Joel to bring them back together. When this happens, Abby hunts Joel down and then kills him. By this point, Joel and Ellie's has had a proper conclusion, both characters fully developing. By killing Joel in the beginning and only finding out that Ellie was open to forgiveness the night before his death, provides no closure to the story. Furthermore, forgiveness can also include hope which the first game featured. Hence why certain scenes in the first game lifted up the mood and released tension. Part 2 however, is solely based on revenge and because of this, most of the game is depressing and frankly, off putting. Personally, I found myself stopping half way through because of the toll it took on my mental health. Yes, it is sad he died, why can't there be sections of hope? Times where the game is so beautiful you just have to sit in awe. Instead, this franchise has become based on a depressing plot. I found myself turning on something overwhelmingly happy like Animal Crossing or SpiderMan PS4 to keep myself feeling happy. Learning Abby's story after killing one of the most loveable characters also makes her a lot more unlikeable. While it is known that sequals are worse than the first, Naughty Dog has created a new low of which many game developers will never reach.

Treats known and established characters like nobody's and tries to justify the actions of the characters who kill them AFTER they do so??? In what world did they think that would work out? Ending is also extremely undeserved, with after establishing ellie as blindly seeking revenge just having her go ooo killing is bad at the last possible second when she already has nothing left to lose.     For me it would be around 7.5 or so. It did some things right but also some things terrible.

    First some cons then pros and lastly some side things.

    Cons:
    There are some poor story part of the game.
    I personally dislike that I had to play as the character Abby and therefor rushed through that part.
    A bit too much focus on Abbys life, may be so people would sympatise with her or what ever. But really there has been no reason for all her flashbacks, She was an unlikeable character, bland character and pretty much just a waste of time to focus on her story.
    Few glitches and bugs.
    Bit too much "smash square" stuff like that.

    Pros:
    Visually Naughty Dog did a great work with the game.
    The gameplay may not be that whole advanced but pretty straight forward.
    There are good parts were you can explore a lot of areas, building and shops which is really good.
    Variety of weaponry is good, maybe there could have been a bit more upgrades into some of the weapons.
    The small details in both animations, world design and so on are really good. Some of them are subtle but they make it more immersive.

    Both good and bad:
    Some of the development with Ellie is done in a good way, other is not. The whole revenge thing is a feeling that most would be able to get. Also there are some old sayings "an eye for an eye makes the world blind" this is displayed well in the story were Ellie makes some poor decisions because she is blinded by the revenge.
    The story wasn't 100% terrible but not that great either.

    The Last of Us 2 could have been some kind of bigger expansion instead of a whole new game. There was a bit too much filler content.    … Expand

    I genuinely believe this is a great game in The Last of Us universe. Although tweaks in the gameplay were minor, like going prone and jumping over gaps, I really like the mix between infected and human vs human combat. The balance between going stealthy and blasting in the front door is totally up to the player; you can go either way in almost all situations. Furthermore, there are many small details put in the game that will be missed by a lot of players on the first playthrough, and I applaud the game developers at Naughty Dog for putting in the effort to do so!

    My praise for this game goes far but this is however not a 10/10 game, which is mostly due to the story. Decisions in the narrative and storyline seem random and I think the story could have more impact if the order of events was changed. I found an analogy somewhere that describes how I feel about the storyline: "Naughty Dog put each event in the game on a playing card, put them in a deck of cards, shuffled the deck a few times, and then went with whatever order the events ended up in". Other choices in especially the ending of the game, makes a lot of the story so far feel pointless.

    Even though I think Part 2 could have been a lot better, I still think there is a lot more to tell in another Part 3. Especially in Ellie's world, I feel there is a lot more to tell. I didn't feel for the other characters as much as I did in the first game. However, it is still an 8 out of 10 or me.    … Expand

    I was told this game would make me emotional. The only emotion I have felt playing through the entire game is disappointment. I had so much love for Naughty Dog and The last of us part 1, I firmly feel like they were willing to risk making fans deeply upset in order to push their political agenda.

Story telling being the difference maker between something you play vs something you feel. This has a lot of that. There were times where I forgot there were infected and then heard a click and thought, **** When I said depth, I didn’t just mean it’s a dark hole. I mean it in the way that you literally have to dig through it all in order to find that silver lining, like in life. Just like in life, there’s twist and turns nearly every day that you don’t see coming but you ultimately deal with because, what other option is there. This game exceeded my expectations in every which way possible. The bar has been raised once again and now the wait for the next game of its caliber has begun.     After passing, you may experience an unpleasant feeling that can be easily confused with dislike of the game itself. But after a while, everything falls into place.

    The animations and facial animations are just perfect, im glad that i waited 7 years to see that "next gen". 9.5 / 10

    Al principio del juego , hablo de las 2 primeras horas como da la casualidad que cuando ABBIE le está corriendo de los INFECTADOS da la casualidad que hay mismo cuando la están por coger los INFECTADOS se encuentra con joel y tommy y cuando llegan a la cabaña donde se encuentran los amigos de ABBIE da la casualidad que entran a un cuarto cerrado y joel un hombre que no confiaba ni en su propia sombra en el primer juego entra sin estar armado al cuarto cuando los amigos de ABBIE todos están armados hasta los diente y joel se confía y le da su nombre y ABBIE mata como un perro a joel una persona que en el primer juego CRUZO MEDIO MUNDO matando cientos de personas y infectados y viene ABBIE y lo mata con un palo de golf ((((FINAL))))

The gameplay was what you would expect after playing the first game. What really let the game down was the overall story Joel’s death was completely understandable however it was the disrespectful way in how they had Joel die is what has angered me and the people as they absolutely ruined a beloved character through having him make a stupid decision which was so out of his character which just doesn’t add up. The ending was also extremely underwhelming as Ellie was settled a year later with her family to then force herself to go back for vengeance to then not even fulfil the vengeance she sought. The game made a huge mistake in the layout of the story as they made it almost impossible to have any sympathy for Abby due to the fact she was a random character who we knew nothing about who killed the most loved character ever introduced to the franchise. There is more negatives which I will not go into however Overall In my opinion the game is just completely demoralising ruining the mood for the player at any possible chance it gets as it just sought to portray the message of revenge being bad for anyone involved. It completely ruined the characters I fell in love with in the first game by completely changing their personality and characteristics that they had in the first game. I feel a six is justified due to the beauty of the game alone as you can see the amount of effort put into the visuals I just wish I could say the same for the effort put into the story.… Expand

    This game is a masterpiece. Incredible graphics, fluid gameplay and a phenomenal story that fits the reality of today's world. I say this as a TLoU fan who played Part 2 twice. Probably, those people who are giving a low grade, have only seen the beginning, or have a closed mind to some events (like the fact that Ellie is a lesbian).

Sadly the story, the most important thing imo, was so bad and forced and cringy that i cant give the game more than one point.     I feel like this game was just made to promote political stuff. Like i support different sexualities and that women are equal to man and all that but come on dont force that stuff on me when i am trying to play an action game. Things like abby looking like an absolute machine who never skips working out and supplements in a time with extreme food shortage and all that is just pathetic. And Mel jumping from a solid 3 Meters as pregnant women like its the most casual thing made me cringe so hard. They also killed almost every male character (mostly by women) and not a single female character was killed by a man. And yeah letting Joel die like that and then frocing me to play that joke of a Character called Abby to force me to sympathize with her made me almost quit the game. There are still so many things to complain about but i dont want to waste any more time on that trash and neither should you.

    Most of the controversy regarding TLOU2 has been focused on the story which, apparently, many people are unable to grasp. Two major criticisms are that one of the protagonists gets killed brutally early on in the game by a new protagonist and that Naughtydog is pushing some agenda. The latter relates to the fact that Ellie is homosexual and that the new protagonist is another female character with a strong body build. Both those criticisms are invalid and in vain, however.

    In TLOU2, the consequences of Joel's actions in Part 1 catch up with him. Remember that, in Part 1, Joel 'saved' Ellie against her will, killing a lot of innocent people in the process and lying to her face (repeatedly), as he could not bear the thought of losing another child. TLOU2 is set 4 years after the events of Part 1 and features some beautiful, playable flashbacks that cover this period, revealing more about Ellie and Joel's relationship with each other. On her quest for revenge, Ellie herself goes on a killing spree, trying to find the culprit and bring him/her to justice.

    The story revolves around this desire for vengeance, blurring of what is right and wrong. That is, although all characters have valid reasons for their actions, the cycle of revenge ends up causing only more pain in the end. A lesson that Ellie learns the hard way during the course of the game. Overall, TLOU2 excels in every aspect, from gameplay to storytelling. It builds upon and improves the first part substantially and it deserves all the perfect scores it got.

    Finally, it should be noted that the game offers the most accessible experience that any videogame has ever offered and provides five increasingly challenging difficulty modes for players to choose from.

    If you haven't completed the first game, I would highly recommend that you complete it first, before diving into TLOU2 as, otherwise, the story will make less sense to you.

    I understand why there are such ratings from the gamers - this is really controversial. But you have to play. Till the end. Story is more than just dialogues and cinematic. Details and emotions - thats the reason why this game must be played. Hope all the gamers will feel the same

A lot of people are angry because Ellie throw away every she had, by the fact that she didn't killed Abby, but I just focused on the fact that Ellie is a better person and killing Abby won't bring Joel back.     El juego en si es maravilloso, muy divertido de jugar con puzles bastante entretenidos sin llegar a ser complicados, la historia podría ser mucho mejor. Hay ciertas decisiones que toman personajes que no tienen ni sentido ni razón aparente, pero igual me ha gustado mucho

    Everything is okay but I just think 5 hours of game is not useful We have a Goddamn dark story and I'm sure everyone don't like this game :)

On account of the plot: fully corresponds to the words of the developers, - "This game will show you what violence leads to" (or there was revenge, I forgot.     The game is amazing and absolutely beautiful in regards of graphic, storyline and lenght. I would recommend it but I dont see it as a Game of the Year, tbh its a really sad story about revenge and obsession

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
