    First the good:

    - the game is beautiful - the gameplay is as good as the first game (although AI is still terrible So why would I score it 2? Well the story trashed the whole experience. So to the bad: The story is so horrific it’s ridiculous. The worst bit happens early on and it trashes the entire game (if you are a lover of the first game). After that incident the whole thing feels    First the good:

    The story is so horrific it’s ridiculous. The worst bit happens early on and it trashes the entire game (if you are a lover of the first game). After that incident the whole thing feels so linear and then the ending is like getting punched in the guts. I get they’re trying to send out a message about killing and revenge (whilst making the goriest game ever which is kind of ironic) but this is executed so badly.

    It’s a story driven game so you have to have the story right. I am so dissapointed.

    I would like the creators to say they got this wrong, but I doubt they will.    … Expand

    First the Pros:
    - Amazing graphics & audio, great atmosphere and solid gameplay. Details are incredible and I like the small gimmicks they build into the world.
    Alright, that's it.

    Cons:
    - Handling of the Main characters. Killing one of my beloved two chars off, right at the beginning, when I couldn't wait to play with Ellie and Joel again who had the best synergie in every game imo, is a massive middlefinger right into my face and false advertising in the trailers.
    - A revenge plot that makes absolute no sense in the end. All characters are replacable and have absolute nothing to contribute to the story.
    - Speaking about revenge - the ending was just horrible. I'm massacring hundreds of people and dogs just to let the killer of Joel go in the end. Why? To feel something? Again, I'm forced to have sympathy for a Character I absolutely do not care about.
    - But hol' up: I'm forced to play Abby who killed my favorite Char Joel and "I have to feel for her" - it's forced and I don't like it.. I don't care about her or her intentions. If I invest 15h of my life and play Ellie and Joel and waited 7 years to play 15h as Ellie again, who has bloodlust, kills everything that stands in her way for another good 15h (That's 30h in total maybe more)... and FINALLY I get to the point where Abby stands right in front of Ellie (Abby killed another one of Ellies long friends in that scene and then tries to do the same with the brother of Joel and shoots him in the head) WHAT HAPPENS? I PLAY AS ABBY FROM NOW ON and even HAVE TO PLAY AGAINST ELLIE, the CHARACTER I CARE ABOUT. Man. It's just terrible and frustrating.

    I do understand what Naughty Dog tried but they failed miserably. This game is an absolute **** and doesn't deserve to be Game of the Year. It's the controversy of the year, but definitely not anything more than that. And now speaking about it, originally I wanted to give a 4/10, but actually it's just a 3/10.    … Expand

    Некоторые недовольны тем, что ГРАФИКА плохая, но скажу я вам, что она просто прекрасна и мои глаза довольны тем, что смотрели на неё, а те кто недоволен идите играйте в свои стратегии по типу цивилизации и европку там ведь ГРАФИКА гораздо "лутше" и сюжет не такой "ужасный" как в TLOU2))))))
    Я действительно не вижу ничего плохого в этой игре, ведь она по-своему интересная и особенная.
    И ведь те кто недоволен все равно покупают игру и играют, но при этом пищат об недостатках, а на таких "лохах" и делают деньги.
    Когда я проходил игру у меня много было эмоции и мне приятно, что они сделали концовку на такой ноте и это очень похоже на то, что будет еще часть и скорее всего завершающая такую отличную и трагичную историю.

After 7 years of waiting, I would have expected a better plot than "Naruto vs Pain". As a big fan of The Last of Us 1 and a huge fan of the Uncharted series, Naughty Dog really blew it with this one.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I totally understand, that people don´t like the development of their beloved characters. Really, I know. I was shocked too, after what happens in the first few hours.
    But, and this is what I give Naughty Dog big credit for, it is the most realistic scenario I have ever seen in a video game. Even teh switch between characters makes sense to me. I was filled with hatred, but then I started to realize that there is another perspective of seeing things from a different character with a different point of view. In a post-apocalyptic world, wouldn´t we all do what Ellie tries to do, vice versa wouldn´t we all try to do what Abby did?
    It really is kind of brave to do a video game like this one. And for sure Naughty Dog knew too well, that there will be a lot of disappointment within the community.
    But for me, the way of storytelling and the Story itself is really brilliant. And very tough to deal with.
    At the end I had it all, Hate for the first hours, indecision in the middle, and by the end I had sympathy for all the leading characters.

    After the first one, I was also hoping for a "they lived happily ever after"...but in a world like this, it makes sense, that someone comes after you, after what you did in the end of Part 1.

    So, blame me, but I am still thinking about the ending and the game itself. I really love it. And just like after the first game´s ending I hope that "they will NOW live happily ever after".    … Expand

Masterpiece , you feel you’re in a whole new level of gaming You all know the story already One thing I’m gonna say is that they could have ended the game with tommy telling Ellie about Abby’s location! And then do a part 3 where Ellie would head through that journey of finding Abby for the last time and killing her , ( because of all the images of Joel and stuff in her head) and finding a reunited group of fireflys in Santa Barbara with new ways of living unlike what we’ve seen with the WLF and the seraphites I would be comfortable with playing half game Abby and half Ellie till the point that they finally meet up and Ellie kills Abby… Expand

Aún así, entiendo a quienes se han cabreado aunque no considero eso suficiente como para venir a llorar aquí a colocar 0 o 3.     Indeed, the game offers almost none new gameplay mechanics. AI is tweaked, some new enemy types (not much), some non-linear maps and that is it.
    The experience here is 100% same as in the first part. The plot has some weak points too - predictable moves, stupid actions of the characters. It is still a very solid game, worth playing. But I understand why people hate it so much.

    Déçu, énormément déçu, rien à voir avec le mouvement de masse des haters, juste le jeu c’est fade, sans fond, un sois disant monde d’exploration qu’il n’est pas. La seule exploration c’est fouiller des maisons qui se ressemblent toute. Des personnages avec un background nul. Une narration Ok tier. Pour faire cour le seul point positif c’est les graphismes pour une PlayStation.

They worked for 7 goddamned years for this and they're not like Ubisoft where they release an Assassin's Creed once a year. Joel would've died anyway, don't matter that a bunch of people kill him or some infected or he simply gets old and die. Joel's death was the most important part of the game. You know what you're gonna do. Just be patient and play the game it's beautiful.… Expand

They actively deconstruct character from the last game and make them do/say stupid thing to tell a pitiful story. if you love the first game, don't play this. You're gonna very disappointed

    Great graphic and animation, I had quite a lot of small bug but it's a stable game.

    This game is simply beautiful, I finished it in 25h41 on 66h41, I cried 5 or 6 times easily, I was upset, the graphics, the soundtrack, the gameplay, the story, everything in the game is perfect, thank you Naughty Dog for this new masterpiece, these are clearly my favorite games with the first.

    Absolutely mind bending the way things die in this game. Whether it be blowing someone in half with an explosive arrow or taking their bottom jaw off with a baseball bat. The combat is so satisfying. Everything has a weight to it. Story is a mind bender and if you didn’t read spoilers, you’ll be in for a very good story.

Half these people probably haven’t played the game or not more than the first couple hours. This game is a huge step for the industry in terms of graphics, animations levels and the amount of details there are in area, it's simply the most technologically advanced game that I have ever played and there is no doubt about it. Although you can't really say the same for the gameplay as its pretty much the same as in the first game, although there are some tweaks which have been added, the gameplay however has become way more refined and its a lot of fun to explore around seatle and have gun fights. The story of the game has been getting a lot of hate and yes it is true that the first game had a much more of an emotional story, the second one was still superb. By showcasing us the 2 sides of the story it has allowed me to actually question some of the things which Ellie has done and to also see to what extent revenge has taken over her mind. However I do feel like some characters deserved way more time on the screen, such as Dina and Jesse as I feel the relationships which Ellie had with them could have been more explored. There are also problems with the pacing of the story as it only took Ellie 3 days to kill Joel's killers and because of that it felt extremely rushed, so I wish the game was a bit longer so there could be better pacing in the game. The ending was also quite questionable in regards that it didn't really explain what happened afterwards in Seattle but it's mostly due to pacing issues. Nevertheless the game deserved to be played and its one of the best games I ever played. I can't wait to see what's next for this game and franchise… Expand

    Cmon guys, the users are hating on this games for no reason, it's an absolutely brilliant game. Looks beautiful and the gameplay is fresh and stealth mechanics are amazing . Maybe the storytelling could have been lil better but it doesn't leave a bad taste in our mouth once it ends. The acting is top notch and action set pieces are best from the company.     Not perfect but definitely not as terrible as the user reviews suggest. The main issue with the game is the story pacing, you’ll constantly have flashbacks and even flashbacks within flashbacks but the game is enjoyable overall. Not a masterpiece but definitely well polished and has pretty cool moments.

On the one hand it is absolutely stunning the amount of artistry gone into this, from the motion capture to the world building it will blow your socks off how amazing it looks. On the other is the tired and worn gameplay, the play by numbers empire strikes back gloom and doom story and all the fuss caused by a few leaks. I won't spoil the story but it's bleak .. it's trying so hard to tell you something that it pretty much spends the latter half of the game smacking you around the head with it until you beg for it to stop. They could of done so much more with it but instead opted for this truly paint by numbers "revenge" story .. trying to make you care about a character they make it impossible for you to care about. Making a character that we loved into a a terrible human being and giving us plot interests that .. just never become interesting. The start of the game is too long winded, there is too much exposition and set up and when you sit down and really think about it, the game is a linear regression in comparison to its origin story which was what made you want to go through the game sections in the original, you was rewarded with more story .. here you don't want to be part of either story or game, pushing forward just feels like pushing a knife into your own stomach. I am hoping they get to make a third .. because if they're using the star wars model like how it feels they are .. then the next game is the return of the Jedi of the franchise and I can't wait to see what their version of an ewok is ... Groot probably.. in keeping with the plant/spor theme. Anyway .. I can't recommend this game, I can't say don't play it either because ultimately the only way your really going to know if you like it or not is to play it for yourself.. but don't say you wasn't warned.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is an amazing game, and the sequel with everything I could hope for as a fan after the first game. Naughty dog has created another masterpiece.

    Anyone who says anything different due to the main characters is a homophobic, misogynistic idiot and can't relate to anything other than a heterosexual man as a main character.

Le jeux est tout autant contemplatif que le premier, nous ne que au début de cette décennies et le je et le jeu se place comme étant déjà l'un des meilleurs de celle ci.

    Un excelente gameplay brutal y crudo, que nos hace sentir cada golpe, cada apuñalada y cada disparo. La historia tiene unos giros muy inesperados y una vez mas naughty dog nos deja en claro que en el mundo de the last of us no hay heroes ni villanos, solo personas tratando de buscar algo por qué luchar, algo para seguir sobreviviendo. Sin duda uno de los mejores juegos de la generacion.

The graphics, game play, sounds and of course music are absolutely stunning, but everyone cares about the story which from my point of view is wonderful, in the end Ellie did the right choice by not killing Abby since she didn't deserve it and went through enough pain already. I understand that she killed Joel, but in the first game Joel did a terrible choice by trying to save Ellie...even though he couldn't lose another daughter. He doomed the whole planet by making a cure impossible to be created. He did the wrong choice...but didn't have any other option. Abby has the right to kill him however she wants. End in the end, the fact that Ellie spared Abby broke my heart. It's true that the first game had better character development and it was amazing to see Ellie and Joel trying to survive together. But after all that Ellie went through it is normal for her to be like she is now. The series is so well thought that some players can't even understand what it is about so they think that Joel did the right choice and Abby did deserve to die. This is my all time favourite game series and i hope that there will be a part 3. But please don't kill Ellie i don't think she did much wrong!… Expand

It seems as if Ellie is unable to hold a meaningful conversation with any other character, including her girlfriend. I also found the aiming and gun mechanics to be wonky at times.
