    It's as if a bearded middle aged guy decided to write a teenage lesbian drama and decided to squeeze all SJW tropes in one post apocalyptic game.
    Result: Welcome to the most boring lesbian couple in the world. The chemistry between these two is horribly boring and basically non-existent.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I played this game on Survivor my first playthrough and it lasted about 37 hours for me. The game looks and sounds amazing. The soundtrack is also superb and definitely worth listening to on it's own.It also plays so much smoother then the first. As for the story, I waited 7 long years, as did lot of others, to see what direction the story would go. And personally enjoyed the story slightly more than the first. It felt more emotionally grounded and you felt every major death as if you experienced it yourself. Naughty dog had made us aware from the reveal how different this game would be thematically than the first .The ending was just as ambiguous and somber as the first if not more and just shows you dont always get what you want no matter how bad you want it.… Expand

    Thank you Naughty Dog for telling such an honest and gruesome tale, it honestly is the best game I have ever played. Never have I played a game, or even watched a TV show/movie that has made me feel so much.

    I would compare the Joel death scene to that of the Red Wedding from GoT. They both were horrific and made you sick to the stomach. Shortly after playing this, once going through his house and things I had to call it a night. I sobbed so much that I couldnt physically play any further.

    What people need to remember when it comes to this game is that it is set 20 odd years into an apocalypse. Everyone is out for themselves and Joel done some pretty awful things. He redeemed himself but with the enemies he had made this was bound to happen. Joel dying sets up the whole premise of the game, in that moment I felt exactly how Ellie felt, helpless, angry and f**king heartbroken. Ellies journey from this point is kinda how I'd imagine dealing with any death feels, you see her go through emotions and act recklessly and violently. Even at the end when she has everything, she cant beat the need for revenge, and in the closing scenes, when she chooses forgiveness, even at a cost it seems like closure and it hit me really hard.

    No matter how angry you felt, I really cannot fathom how you could overlook the rest of the game. The mechanics, graphics, story, the open world segments and the notes left behind. Right down to upgrading your weapon the animation looks incredible.

    It is extremely well written, you see hints of story intertwining with one another, character development and can you even comprehend the imagination it would have took to create this story with all its nooks and crannies? It really has blown me away and I wont change my mind because Joel died, heck the revenge story wouldnt have felt like much if it was a newly introduced character that was killed. It had to be Joel, it had to get you absolutely furious.

    Onto the graphics and mechanical aspects of the game, I really suggest you take moments to look at the snow falling from the trees or the wind through the grass, even the rain hitting the concrete looks incredible. In the words of Keanu Reeves, its breathtaking. The gameplay feels far from clunky and it all seems to come together in perfect harmony.

    I'm not sure if anyone will see this review. But if you do, just give it a chance, it will change your life.

    From the death of Joel to the gameplay with Abby, this game is an absolutely beautiful and has a great story, it may end in a very sad or upsetting way, but it was an appropriate ending for this game.
    I hope Naughty Dog comes with a third and last part to this great game.    … Expand

Ich habe mir viele 0 Punkte Bewertungen durchgelesen und daraus konnte man ansich 3 Punkte sehr gut herauslösen. Einmal die Homosexualität, die Gewalt und das angeblich schlechte Storytelling und die Story selbst. Zu Punkt 1, was soll ich da sagen, einerseits war da echt viel sexistische scheiße bei aber abseits davon macht das Story und Gameplaymäßig überhauor keinen unterschied. Wäre Dina jetzt ein Mann, wär sie ja logischerweiße nicht schwanger aber man hötte bestimmt irgendne andere möglichkeit gehapt des die Person dann im Theater hätte bleiben müssen also gameplay mäßig isses echt kein Argument. Das einzige waa in der Story anders wäre, wäre dieses eine zwischen "Level" wo man mit Ellie, dem Kind und Dina im Haus wäre abee das Kind hat jetzt nicht soviel da ausgemacht, das war nur um der ihre jetztige Situation zu verdeutlichen. Emotional war das einzige was mich da besonders mitgenommen hat der name J.J weil ich mir für mich gesagt habe des siw uhn entweder nach Joel oder Jesse benannt haben. Zur Gewalt kann man nur sagen ja, das ist nunmal realistisch, Menschen sind grausam, vorallem in so harten Zeiten wie in dem Spiel. Das Spiel ist ja nicht ohne Grund FSK 18 und auserdem ist diese Brutalität auch ein wichtiges Mittel um die Atmosphäre dieser düsteren und brutalen Welt dazustellen. Desweiteren hat Joels tod, über den sich auch massiv beschwerd wurde, genau das erreicht was er sollte, er hat dem Spiel unglaublich viele emotionen der Spieler geschenkt was sich ja auch in den ganzen kritiken äußert, niemand hätte sich beschwerd wenns ihm egal wäre. Und diese Emotionen wurden auch immer in diesen flashbacks aufrechterhalten zusammen mit Ellies veränderung wo ich mir manchmal gedacht habe ach du scheiße was ist nur aus der kleinen Ellie geworden. Am Anfang habe ich Abby absolut nicht leiden können und nach der Szene wo sie Jesse erschossen hatte, der mir jetzt garnichtmal so wichtig war aber allein die tatsache des sie Ellie alles nimmt(ebenso wie Joel im ersten teil in Form von Tess und Sarah alles genommen wurde), hatte ich überhaupt keine Lust sie zu spielen. Aber wenn man dan mal dran ist und sieht was sie alles in der Zeit gemacht hat, wo man eigendlich dachte sie würde nur andere verletzen, ist sie mir am Ende echt ans Herz gewachsen weil sie sich eigendlich viel besser verhällt als Ellie. Vorallem da wo sie sie verschont, ich bin sicher Ellie hättw sie getötet obwohl sie beide ihren Vater und viele ihrer Freunde verloren haben. Das hat bei mir dazu gefühlt des ich am ende hin und hergerissen war zwischen beiden fraun und ich mir einfach gedacht hab bitte last es doch jetzt einfach gut sein. Und eben das ist es was das spiel erreichen und was es sein wollte. Dieses Spiel nimmt einen Emotional auf einer anderen Ebene mit und ob man den Twist jetzt mochte oder nicht, allein das macht es schon unglaublich.… Expand

    Потому что идеала не бывает! Стрельба подойдёт для всех благодаря настраиваемому автоприцеливанию, ближний бой напоминает таковой из первой части, но с заметными улучшениями. Очень порадовал дневник Элли с рисунками и записями. Передвижение, стелс и остальное тоже на высшем уровне.
    Графика 9 из 10. Все прекрасно. Отражения, анимации, пейзажи, кровь, снег, всё!
    Физика 10 верёвок из 10.
    Любовная линия 1 из 10. Абсолютно отталкивающий объект любви, Дина реально мерзкая. Я не имею ничего против однополых отношений, но тут их развитие ни стого, ни с сего. Гораздо оправданней было бы начать любовную линию после смерти Джоела, а до этого показать важность Дины и Элли друг для друга. А всякие сцены "любви" ни к месту только отталкивают.
    Сюжет 1 из 10. Смерть Джоела. Смерть героя за которого мы играли в первой части. Мы видели весь мир игры с его точки зрения, его действия и характер были оправданы сюжетом, мы сопереживали ему, чувствовали себя этим героем, а тут его просто убивают, пытаясь сделать из этого драму и загадку, но вызывают только негатив и ненависть к Эбби, ЗА КОТОРУЮ ЕЩЕ И ПРИХОДИТСЯ ИГРАТЬ!
    Персонажи 6 из 10. Милая и полезная Элли в первой части, которую любишь, хочешь защитить и доверяешь ей, сменяется Диной во второй, которой не доверяешь, которая плохо влияет на Элли. В Дине просто не нуждаешься. А попытка показать Эбби доброй просто раздражает. Второстепенные и фоновые персонажи радуют.
    Итог 6 из 10. Хорошая игра, но после смерти Джоела я просто не могу ей наслаждаться. Остаётся переживание за Элли, но месть не та цель, к которой хочется идти. А виды прекрасны. Элли тоже. Если бы не слишком много Дины, более оправданная любовь, которая началась бы не за игровым процессом, то было бы 8 из 10.    … Expand

Устаревший скучный геймплей, откровенно глупый и притянутый сюжет, вызывающие отвращение персонажи. И просто ужасное неуважение к игрокам.Единственное что есть в этой игре - это неплохая графика, но графика это последнее на что я обращаю внимание.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Que triste que las filtraciones hayan sido reales. Si tenían planeado matar a Joel, pudieron ingeniárselas mejor, en este juego lo hicieron ver muy débil y confiado cuando se va a la mansión con Abby y toda esa gente.

    Lastima que echaron a perder a uno de los personajes más queridos de esta forma. El final no me gustó, se sabe que la venganza trae más venganza pero Ellie recorrió tanto para vengarse y al final no lo hace? Ok, tiene sus razones para cambiar su forma de pensar, o simplemente no hubiera ido al final a pelearse con ella para que la deje suelta. Y por sus malas acciones llegó a perder a Dina, que en vez de quedarse con ella se fue a lo difícil. El juego, en sentido de gráficos, detalles, animaciones está excelente y me encanta el trabajo que hizo Naughty Dog, lo único que falló fue en su historia. Espero próximamente una parte 3 de esta saga, y espero que sea la última para darle fin a esta historia.    … Expand

This game is a 7 at worst which is still good. This is last season of GOT all over again. Getting old...hope it’s just a phase. We can be better!!!

    Graphisme excellent !!! Un gameplay dynamique et stressant qui fait vraiment ressentir la tension du jeu !!! Le seul problème pour les gens sera d'accepter ce qui va se passer dans ce scénario beaucoup plus sombre que le premier... je suis un grand fan de the last of us et il faut voir ces deux jeux comme deux histoires séparées tournant autour d'une relation forte. Ces deux jeux sontGraphisme excellent !!! Un gameplay dynamique et stressant qui fait vraiment ressentir la tension du jeu !!! Le seul problème pour les gens sera d'accepter ce qui va se passer dans ce scénario beaucoup plus sombre que le premier... je suis un grand fan de the last of us et il faut voir ces deux jeux comme deux histoires séparées tournant autour d'une relation forte. Ces deux jeux sont excellents pour raconter une histoire : le 1er autour de l'amour et le deuxième de la colère. Je trouve ça dommage malgré les vrais commentaires négatifs que je respectent de voir des personnes se permettent de cracher sur un tel jeux en mettant une note de 0 sans réel avis... c'est pour ça que je compense avec un 10. Ça fait longtemps que j'ai pas autant été stressé et pour la première fois terrifié de la violence du jeu par moment.

    Do not let yourself be distracted by review bombers that did not like certain plot twists or LGBTQ contents. Nothing in there is "radical leftist" like some reviews would    It's a great game with stunning visuals, incredible voice acting, great attention to Detail, rewarding RPG-like elements, unusual plot progression (which I adored) and unfortunately a handful of unnecessary plot holes.

    Do not let yourself be distracted by review bombers that did not like certain plot twists or LGBTQ contents. Nothing in there is "radical leftist" like some reviews would indicate.

    This game is more than progressive in means of storytelling and character development. You can of course not like the game, but everything below average is a childish joke.

    I am giving the -1 for some of the annoying plot holes and rusty game mechanics, so 9/10 overall.    … Expand

    Incredible in every way. The story, the characters, gameplay and the graphics are unlike anything seen in a game before. This is the new benchmark for how fantastic a video game can be. Every AAA game will get compared to this for the next 10 years.

    O game consegue utilizar mecânicas do primeiro game aprimoradas e adicionar novas mecânicas sem tirar a originalidade do título; A história consegue transmitir os sentimentos da protagonista e demonstrar a sensibilidade de todos os personagens sejam eles consagrados como Ellie e Joel , ou sejam eles novos como Abby e Dina fazendo o game não ter um potencial vilão e sim separando a históriaO game consegue utilizar mecânicas do primeiro game aprimoradas e adicionar novas mecânicas sem tirar a originalidade do título; A história consegue transmitir os sentimentos da protagonista e demonstrar a sensibilidade de todos os personagens sejam eles consagrados como Ellie e Joel , ou sejam eles novos como Abby e Dina fazendo o game não ter um potencial vilão e sim separando a história em dois lados com motivações diferentes e cenários diferentes que se cruzam . A parte de ambientação e fenomenal tanto como a do primeiro game e ainda aprimorada pelos recursos gráficos, é realmente um grande título a ser consagrado.… Expand

    Es un buen juego en temas de mecánicas y gráficos pero en la historia flojea mucho nos quita a un personaje emotivo ,Lo del lgtb nos parece bien a la mayoría pero controlar a un personaje que mata a nuestro protagonista de la anterior saga es nefasta decisión por el equipo de naughty dog ,Yo por the last of us,llore literalmente y por esta saga también me entristece la muerte de Joel ojalá fuera de otra forma el juego ,Sigue siendo un juego bueno,Neil Druckmann no nos importa el lesbianismo de hecho una personaje lgtb es bueno y nunca visto ,Espero que el equipo de naughty dog haga algo pero me parece imposible.Lo siento por todos los fans de The Last Of Us.     Великолепная игра. Люди жалуются на феминизм, но в саму игру они не играли. Всё, на что здесь повлиял феминизм - это внешний вид одного из персонажей, Эбби, которая, судя по внешнемю виду, жрёт только стероиды.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I loved the first part very much, and the first half of the second part is great as well. BUT!

    First of all, the gameplay is nearly as great as the graphics and the sound. Naughty Dog has clearly made another game with a great atmosphere. However, it continues the story of part 1 which had above all a fantastic story and made it easy for players to build up an emotionally intense connection to the main characters. This is continued by the developers in the first half of the game, but then they betray their concept. Spoiler:

    Naughty Dog do everything to develop hate for Abby on the player's side. In my opinion, they do that much too well in view of the second half of the game. We have travelled with Joel and Ellie all the time, and there will be few players of the first part who don't love these characters. Now we must watch Abby kill Joel in the most cruel way. That's okay in matters of storytelling and a very shocking scene. But it prevents the player from developing any positive feelings for Abby, and now I have played her for many hours... I do not know how this is to work. The second half of the story is very much in lack of emotions because of this problem. I hope Abby will die in the end, but making her a playable character through several chapters was a fault. Even the try to make the player understand her feelings does not work with me. The flashbacks are made nicely, but they cannot wake a real feeling of pity for Abby. We have first met her when she was rescued by Joel and gratefully tortured him to death. And now we are supposed to feel with her? That does not work, Naughty Dog! You cannot do something like that in a game that lives so much of its story. I'd like to know if ANYONE enjoyed playing Abby after Joel's death.
    Furthermore, I just talked (playing Ellie again) to Tommy who had been shot intohis head by Abby before. Why does he survive this as if it never had happened, while an arrow in his leg still has so big influence on his walking???? VERY poor storytelling in my opinion.

    TLOU2 is a very good game in the first half but quite a fail in the second. Abby finally develops some character when she saves Lev and Ayra. However, she then even betrays her own friends. And this character is to be played about 50% of the game... Almost worse is the "deus ex machina" Tommy on the farm; he really should not have survived this or at least not be ableto travel any more.
    I only hope the ending will be better and Ellie gets her revenge. I wouldnt be surprised if Ellie refuses to kill Abby in the last minute or even gets killed herself. The story of this game is just as awful as the first part's one was great.    … Expand

    Those that had a problem with game, I hear you. But I also understand that those people are few and far between, and all the comments (both positive and otherwise) to come out on June 19th should be taken down. This story is LONG and the play through takes at least 30 hours to complete. I played it almost non-stop since Thursday at 11pm ct and didn’t finish it until Sunday morning around 4am. So all those people talking about the game’s ending being terrible or playing as Abby being a waste of time (which doesn’t happen until around hour 15, are not giving this beautiful game an honest review.

    I get it, you don’t want to see your games changed. This game will not change others. And by the way, the story and graphics are VIOLENT. All those people who are comparing those that like this game are social justice warriors seem to forget that. In my opinion, the only “snowflakes” are those upset that Joel died. I was too, but that is what makes the game’s story so vivid and real. Do you really think every one in an apocalyptic world is going to live happily ever after? Now those people are the social justice warriors.

    The game’s music was incredible. The score was revised and the play-through contains both original and licensed music which adds to the story. And for those worried about Joel’s death, the player gets several long moments to play as Ellie alongside Joel afterward that are perfectly written and performed. So PLEASE give this game a chance.

    Honestly, this game could have easily been split into a full game and a DLC (which I believe was their original intention). However, I’m so glad they chose to release everything together. Naughty Dog / Sony, please take these negative reviews with a grain of salt and continue to and don’t be dissuaded from creating more within TLOU universe because of these “haters” that wrote their reviews beforehand. Thankfully, I was able to avoid spoilers before my play-through, and I do think this the ideal way to play the game. Please find out who that jerk who betrayed you all and fire them immediately.

    Sorry, this review is coming out as angry, but I honestly am angry that so many are taking to these online forums to trash this game. And YouTubers making videos on why this game is bad are saying things that prove they’ve never played through the game. For those that have a problem with Joel’s death, is get it. Even for those that don’t like playing as a girl or a trans person, I definitely don’t get it, but I understand your opinion. But all of you that haven’t given this game the chance it deserves before writing a review, the thousands of people that spend millions of hours making this beautiful looking game a reality should certainly not have to suffer for your ignorance.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is OK. To have to even be saying this about my favourite franchise of all time is a letdown of its own. The game is stunning. From environmental detail to facial recognition and character animation it's all a leap in the right direction as far as technology goes. The gameplay itself is something i was pleasantly okay with. I also enjoyed gameplay from the first one and though they're quite similar in how they play, the second one has obvious improvements and doesn't feel as clunky. So of course we get to the storyline and character development. Unfortunately, this is where the game drops off tremendously for me. I can understand how they were trying to make me sympathise and care for the character that is abby and frankly, she isn't a terrible character. I even found myself enjoying some of her missions more than ellies as they were more creative and adrenaline fueled at times. I also enjoyed the implementation of yara and lev. I thought they were great flushed out characters with interesting enough plotlines. This however does not mask the fact that abby commits quite an unforgivable act on one of my favourite video game characters to date in what i see as an impossibly stupid scenario to be put into. I also REALLY disliked the times i was forced to chase down the likes of tommy and worst of all, beat the living hell out of ellie. This just made me extremely uncomfortable and i felt sick by the end of it to be completely honest. Not in a good way. To top this whole fiasco off, i didn't even get revenge in the end. After watching such an anti-climactic ending to an otherwise disappointing game as far as story takes it, i was left with a really sour taste in my mouth. You send ellie all the way to santa barbara after killing thousands of people along the way and she suddenly decided it wasn't the right thing to do? That makes 0 sense and it really highlights the measure of disappointment i had with the conclusion as ellie sat there in the water realizing she lost everything and got nothing in return. She deserves better than that and joel deserved better than he got. The infuriating part about it is that there are glimpses of quality writing and storytelling in here. The flashbacks that are littered throughout the game were awesome to play through. I just think you sacrificed a rock-solid foundation that is joel and ellie for a shaky, kindergarden built chair of a foundation that is abby. I don't know how you expected people to appreciate this game for what it is. It baffles me. What's done is done though. Graphics - 10/10

There were moments, hours, that I felt betrayed by them, moments I felt angry with them and, believe me, I called them so many names... Oh man.. I really hated them.

    The game was great, they improved the gamplay since the first game, the graphics are amazing, and the story, christ the story is waaaay better, muhc more richier then the first one. You have to accept that the first game was about the journey and the bond between joel and ellie. And this game its not about that. Thats not gonna happen again, they already did that. This game is about revange, trauma and consequences. And it shows how bad revange is, and that absolutly nothing good comes out of it. And through a lot of pain and hardship ellie was able to learn that, while having to deal with the feeling of not properly forgiving Joel. great twist in the game to show us the other side of the story, telling us that the "bad guys" are not that bad, and that the "good guys" are not that good. everyone its going through someting. I'm not givin this game a 10 for two reasons. 1st - the insane amount of notes... they were ok, but annoyed the **** out of me to find a lot of them., and 2nd, i didn like abby, she brutally killed Joel, for her own belief of what as right and thats "ok", but still... she killed Joel. and also, the moment we begin playin as her is a important moment on the plot of the game, and i was like "what the **** i want to know what happens" so i kinda "rushed" through her chapters just to get to the climax moment. Also, i wanted the game to have ended there, after theyre fight, when abby shows mercy on ellie, thus ending the revenge cicle. The whole santa barbara thing felt a little out of place, and the final showdown on the beach reminded me of the final fight in death stranding.. two people punching each other in the water hahaha.
    But in the end, it was great, i felt really sad for ellie, cause the most important thing that joel teached her, the thing that briefly restored theyr bond in the four yeats in between, she lost it.    … Expand

The story as most of us know thanks to the leaks is terrible, them killing Joel may be one of the worst things I have ever had to sit through while playing a video game. The game play when talking about the stealth and combat areas are a huge disapointment. Some of the new characters introduced are terrible and uninteresting. And being forced to play as the character that killed Joel and to have the game try to make me feel sympathetic to them, made me want to turn the game off and go throw up. I could go on but i dont want this to be too long. So in conclusion dont buy this game, save your money for something worth it, and if you bought the game and hate it even a fraction of what i do, try and return it and get your money back. En sí, este juego me parece muy bueno, el único problema es que se carguen a Joel y que además tengas que controlar a la asesina de Joel por medio juego para que supuestamente intentemos "empatizar" con este personaje. El final es muy malo, te pasas todo el juego matando a gente para que luego en el final cogan y hagan que ellie perdone a la persona que mató a una persona que era como un padre para ella. No me agrada que hagan un videojuego donde la temática principal es la venganza y luego al final no hay venganza. En fin, todo el juego bien menos como termina.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
