    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Made an account just to say that I have been a long time fan of naughty dog, but never will I ever support this company again! The atrocity that was supposed to be one of the greatest games, goes down as one of the worst forms of media entertainment I have ever experienced! They kill off Joel, in the most juvenile way, then make you play 80% of the game as his killer. Then with that character you have to fight Ellie. They made Ellie and Joel complete bad guys and what you to fall in love and side with this Abby character, who has no depth or likeness to her at all. Not to mention she beats Joel to death within the first hour of the game but we are just supposed to side with her and care about what drives her? And to care and understand why she killed him? We are here for Joel and Ellie, to experience the amazing bond and story between them! Not to mention that Abby is terribly written. I did not care at all about her. And the ending Ellie lets her go.. kills everyone else. But let’s the main character who **** up her life go and be happy. Joel, Ellie, and the huge community behind the first last of us, we all deserved better. Neil should be ashamed of himself.… Expand

    但以一個劇情為主體的遊戲 完全不能接受
    製作強制塞入一堆自以為是的價值觀 但又沒盡全力詮釋 破碎的劇情毫無說服力

    It’s the best game ever made , hatters should be shame on themselves, probably Xbox and pc gamers with jealous.... I don’t care if it’s on PlayStation, Xbox, switch or pc , I care about games , and this one it’s the best so far , congratulations to naughty dog ....

    Mataram o Joel , e ainda deixaram na dúvida que ele deu o cu por uma chicara de café Meo Deus oq fizeram com meu personagem favorito na história dos games não tem perdão , Sony vc estragou sonhos com essa blasfêmia que foi tlou 2.
    Nem vou citar a ellie pq será mais raiva passando aqui .vou vender meu jogo e esquecer que tlou tá existiu .

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First of all please let me point out i personally regard The Last of Us as the greatest single player game ever made.

    I was 24 when i first played it and i never expected a video game to have such an emotional impact. Sarah's death in the prologue, Tess's sacrifice in Boston, Sam and Henry's deaths, the game had me hooked with hard hitting story moments. At the core of the first game we have the relationship that develops between Ellie and Joel, this is key to everything that is good about the game, the experiences they go through shape that relationship and develop the characters.

    Marketing trailers for the second game strongly suggest we will see that relationship explored further and tested. The closing scene of the first game we see Ellie question Joel about the events at Salt Lake City and its suggested she thinks he is lying.

    Ultimately Joel is killed at the hands of a new playable Character (Abby) whom we have no attachment with what so ever just 90 minutes into the game. Now i have no problem with main characters dieing, in a post apocalyptic back-drop one could say it should be expected but the way Joel's death played out left me feeling nothing, it felt ham fisted and forced through for shock value and to set the wheel in motion for what would follow, a story of vengeance.

    Why was it ham fisted and force you say?

    Joel and Tommy have both survived post out break for at this point 24/25+ years and yet we are supposed to believe they go like willing cattle to the slaughterhouse. Rule number one in any post apocalyptic world, do not trust strangers, particularly groups, better the enemy you know, in this case the infected.

    Naughty Dog did not want this game to be another Joel and Ellie adventure, so they got desperate in forcing an unbelievable situation in which Joel died and Ellie had the path laid before her to go and seek revenge.

    So Ellie & Dina set out for Seattle to find the people that murdered Joe and kill them, i feel that at this point the relationship develop between Ellie and Dina essentially stops. Ellie fights through countless enemies slaying them as she goes into what becomes a quest to find and murder Abby along with hopefully some answers.

    The cinema showdown, acts as a Cliffhanger. Jesse dies but given how little development he got it feels inconsequential to the story. I hate Cliffhangers and this one feels all the more worse as you are forced to play 6-8 hours as Abby, who is essentially a female terminator.

    I get what Naughty Dog are trying to do, there is always another side and perspective to every story but i choose my side 7 years go with the emotional attachment i formed with Ellie and Joel despite their flaws and no matter how many hours you force me play as Abby do gooder it will not change the outcome i desire for her and that is a brutal death at the hands of Ellie.

    If the Abby/Yara/Lev section of the game had been a standalone separate story from the Joel and Ellie story, i would have enjoyed it alot more given more character development.

    Cinema Cliffhanger, Abby in full search and destroy mode after finding pretty much everyone else involved in Joel's murder is now dead. I like the way Nora died tbh that was a minor highlight.

    Jesse dead, Tommy shot and down, we are forced to hunt Ellie as Abby, this almost made me throw up the game did not revert back to Ellie being the playable character at this point. Thankfully Lev shut downs the Terminator before she can execute Dina/Ellie/Tommy, given her little develop and her friends deaths, it would of been in her character to kill all 3.

    Farmhouse act 1, at this point i thought the game was going to end, it would of been weak (Abby essentially letting her go once more) but with Ellie sat on the tractor overlooking the horizon, with JJ in her arms the credits could have rolled with a reasonably happy but unfulfilling ending.

    Ultimately Ellie is still haunted by Joel's murder, Tommy turns up alive thankfully but semi crippled to set the next step of the game in motion. Abby is in Santa Barbara. Following a short play as Abby both Abby & Lev are captured by another group known as the Rattlers and taken prisoner/slave.

    Ellie leaves Dina/JJ to go hunt Abby down, despite Dina's warning she will not wait for her to return. At this point i was just glad to be back playing Ellie, after so much time being forced to play as Abby.

    Ellie slays countless to get to a somewhat reduced Abby who has been left to die, after saving her life, forces her into a fight she does not want for once. Beats her only to let her live.

    The ending shows Ellie's sense of loss, Joel dead, Dina and JJ gone, she cant even play Guitar anymore after loosing two fingers. A brief flashback shows Ellie wanted to forgive Joel for his lie, the game should have ended on this scene, which is by far the most emotionally powerful moment in the entire game.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So now that I've finished the game, I'd like to give my impressions. I wouldn't even call the whole thing bad writing. The story was okay. But there were some questionable decisions. For me personally, it would have been smarter to get to know Abby before her group found Tommy and Joel. I'd prefer a character, who struggles with her wish for revenge and duties towards her community. It would've been nice to have the flashbacks like: Ellie: past to presence, Abby: presence to past, instead of playing a character I don't know and didn't understand when she showed empathy for others. I wasn't as emotionally involved as I was in Part I. I saw a single longer encounter of Abby and her father. I still don't know him, don't really care about his death, therefore Abby's personal demise. I would've loved to see how bad live turned out after and why her hatred eats her up. Part I portrayed reasons for Joel to be the way he was, which I'm missing within the character of Abby.
    Joel had the purpose of surviving, but more was stacked upon his shoulders: find a cure, lose Tess, keep Ellie safe, rebuild relationship to Tommy, keep Ellie at distance, give in and let the love grow. Abby's purpose is: make war, find Joel. Not enough to get emotionally involved. She doesn't struggle with anything but comments from Mel and Owen, which she ignores and moves on. Other characters like Tommy, Ellie, Joel and even Bill make up their minds about things - good, decent and enjoyable characters. Maybe I'm just not much of a revenge-at-all-costs-person. I don't understand the drive.
    When Abby tries to save Lev and his sister, she shows some character traits I can work with - a little late. I enjoyed and was involved in the war-situation on the island, but that was because of the screams, the fire, having Lev in the middle of this. I felt for Abby when she told him "You're my people", but she destroyed the moment when she wanted to cut Dina's throat. Joel's character in Part I left the thoughts "C'mon, Joel. Try to get over yourself." and later "FINALLY! Go save your girl!". Abby leaves the thought "The hell are you doing? Why'd you do that?", later "I don't care. Let's just get it over with." I rushed through her episodes to return to Ellie. I needed encounters like the one with Lev or even with Abby and her group before so Joel's death wouldn't make me feel devastated because I had to play a character I'm thinking "what am I doing here?" of, but rather had a decent character, who cares about more than revenge, making seeing her kill Joel harder. Her friends for example. Who I don't feel like they are as Abby doesn't give a **** about them until they're gone for good. I've watched Manny spit on a dead man's face, sending an insult his way and I'm supposed to feel a friendship between Abby and him later? Come on :'D and while everyone else is shaken by the events, Abby found her smile. I'm supposed to feel for her when there's not even a little remorse or self-reflection? That's a main character quality she's missing, if we leave the Scars-situation later on aside. Another involvement aspect: I would have loved for Jackson to get into the middle of the Seraphites' and Wolves' conflict. It would have made Ellie's decision not to kill Abby even stronger. Ellie would've made her decision for the greater good: Abby can only keep her people safe and alive when she's not dead. Yes, this story is about personal processes. Still, I would have loved Ellie to decide for the greater good.
    On the other hand, their fight at the end broke my heart. I was glad Ellie decided not to kill her. The ending was unsettling. It wasn't an open ending like Part I, but isn't closed, either. I would have liked Ellie to finally play and sing the whole song Joel wrote, instead of playing the first few chords and leave. That would have made me feel sad instead of just empty. I love the world, the details, the old characters, would like to say I loved the new ones, like Jesse (again I didn't get enough time), I loved the gameplay (and at the same time hated it, but that's because of my gaming skill :D). I just wished so badly there was a way to feel for Abby in order to make playing her entertaining. I wish the order of events was different and with a little more small encounters to get to know Abby. I even would've preferred to play a character from Abby's group, who watches her get consumed by her hatred. I would've liked to play a character, being on her side regarding the whole Joel-thing, but making no comment on Abby's actions so that I, as a player, get the chance to carry my opinion rather than being pushed into an opinion I disagree with by all means. Great game, great level designs, great details, great acting, confusing decision regarding the choice for a new main character, that doesn't bring along main character qualities, confusing decision towards the order of events, leading to little involvement on Abby's behalf.    … Expand

    It has best graphic best gameplay and unforgettable story. Playing as abby is not bad idea for me it is a great idea and unique thing in video games playing as a villain too to know the story of her too there is nothing wrong in that.

    I remember playing the last of us back in 2014 and being completely blown away by the story.
    Not by the biggest moments in the game but by the little human moments.
    And the acting, that was done extremely well. While the gameplay was alright at best and the enemy AI was laughable, the story is still bouncing around in my head over half a decade later.     When I played the the last of us part 2 I was impressed by the gameplay overhaul, as they really did a good job in that department.
    But the story on the other hand did the opposite of impressing me.
    I won't get into spoilers but I will say that the themes this game try's to go over such as the cycle of violence has been done to death before hand and has been done better in other forms of media.
    The dialogue in the game as well as the character writing as well is godawful.

    The last of us was a solid 10/10 for me back in 2014 and it still is.

Even a revenge story where the main character loses everything. What I can’t get behind is a game full of unlikable characters. Killing Joel was a huge moment. Joel is a character loved by all and it brought out so many emotions. The whole entire second part of the game is spent playing as his killer. Did they take this time to make her likable and relatable? No. Did they take this time to add meaningful interactions with the rest of the cast? No. It was hours and hours of bad writing and bad pacing. The most enjoyable moments were when I killed so I could see the little cut scene where Abby died. The end was wack. Ellie throws away her whole family to not get revenge. Why did she do this? Because she had a vision of Joel on the porch playing guitar. This game was dumb and had terrible writing. The first half was so good. It just sucks that the second half was so atrociously bad it made me regret playing the game at all. One of my favorite games of all time is ruined because the sequel was so bad. Congratulations Naughty Dog. You tricked me into buying the most expensive edition and bait and switched out with the sorriest excuse of a story that you could’ve come up with. Rent this game if you have to play it. It’s terrible. Just play the original. That game at least had some heart and soul. Part 2 is just a waste of 20+ hours.… Expand

Also again we don't like playing as abbie killing our own, but guess what that's life that's what could happen in that time, also all the stuff Joel and Tommy probs got upto before killing and such. So when people say Neil is trolling you all soSeriously people get over yourselves, yes the story was abit on the down side. But if Joel didn't die that early we wouldn't have a game to play. Also again we don't like playing as abbie killing our own, but guess what that's life that's what could happen in that time, also all the stuff Joel and Tommy probs got upto before killing and such. The game’s graphics, design and music are all great - but the game falls with its incredibly bad story. It’s baffling to me that the same guy wrote this as the original. It feels like the series got sold off to a company that has no idea what to do withThis game broke my heart. Despite all the rumors spread before the release of part 2, I still have faith on naughty dog, one of the best game studio ever existed . However, naughty dog disappointed me badly this time ,part 2 has great graphic feature, good combat system , and a disasterious story telling . Joel , a survival expert , a killer machine, who survival countless deadly events, can smell immediate danger in front of someone who pretend to be injured and try to kill joel . And joel just revealed his truely infamous name to bunch of unkown people , surely he just saved that **** but this is post-apocalypse story，he can't be that naive to trust someone just because he save her life. If I were the scriptwriter of part 2， I would rather let Ebby kidnapped Elly as bait to lure joel out，and joel get seriously wounded before getting Elly out of prison. Parents would do anything insane to save their child, that's how joel act inprudently and get himself killed. Anyway, I hate part 2, it just ruin all my fantasy for part one, and neil dickmann, good job at doing it !… Expand

Also thanks for the lesson in gay sex and synagogues, I'm really glad that was in my game about a zombie apocalypse. The Israeli director couldn't help but force his ideologies into the game, not very surprising. I'm literally never going to buy a western game again because of this. Every game today is so **** pozzed and horrible. It's like watching movies now, all the magic of video games is gone.     titanic work from the studio, a lot of details not immediately noticeable to a simple player, great graphics, matured Ellie. All this about this game, I recommend spending all your time on it to all fans of the genre.

    2/ TLOU2 est l'un des plus beaux jeu de la génération, et rivalise, voir surpasse RDR2 par endroits, notamment grâce à son rendu de la lumière faisant presque office de Ray tracing avant l'heure.

    3/ N'en déplaise beaucoup de monde, le scénario est très bon, mais il y a certaines facilités scenartiques. Pourquoi Tommy et Ellie sont pardonnée ? On ne sait pas. Mais au fur et à mesure que l'on avance on se rend compte de toutes les thématiques et nuances que le jeu nous transmet.

    4/ TLOU2 aborde beaucoup de thématique. Que ça soit la vengeance, le pardon, les conséquences, la violence, la cruauté, la rédemption, c'est un jeu qui va vous prendre au tripes émotionnellement.

    5/ Comme attendu, l'immersion est totale dans cet univers post-apocalyptique très convainquant.

    Bref malheureusement il n'y a pas assez de place pour dire tout mon ressenti, mais le jeu possède très peu de points négatifs. Quand au soi-disant progressisme.... Il n'en est rien. Bon jeu à tous !    … Expand

    People just didn't like the game because it doesn't give what you want. It makes you uncomfortable at certain points, but the director said it would happen. I don't buy them. They are repulsive and boring. The main idea which stays behind this story is good, but implementation looks like that junior team did it.

    The poor story shows the poor game loop. At the end of the game, I was done - I didn't want more because I was bored.

I can understand the parallels between Ellie and Abby: both of them lost so much due to hatred and revenge. I understand the immersion with the character that Naughty Dog tried to make between us and Ellie: (HEAVY SPOILERS!!!) When Abby kills Joel, Ellie is **** pissed, and we are **** pissed. When Ellie questions why did that happen, we question WHY DID THAT HAPPEN (naughty dog)!? By the end of the game, after going in a killing spree, Ellie feels uncomfortable, and so do we. We realize the consequences of hating and the eternal cycle of vengeance, just like Ellie, and to break this cycle (Lev would probably go in revenge after Ellie if she had killed Abby), Ellie chooses to spare the person that made her transform into something practically inhuman. The idea of this kind of immersion with a character is one of the most amazing ideas I have ever seen in entertainment history. The choice of killing Joel early on is one of the most bold moves i have ever seen in my life: it´s unfair... it´s **** disappointing... but it serves the idea of connection between character and player (or at least it should). That said, the gameplay, the graphics, the level design, the accessibility, and the CONNECTION between player and character are breathtaking (NOTE: I said the CONNECTIONS between player and character, and not the characters themselves, with few exceptions). The 10-hour long gameplay with Abby was unnecessary. I understand that Naughty Dog wanted to present the ultimate lesson that we can extract from this game: It doesn´t exist good or evil. All that exists is the point of view (or some **** like that). With a 30 minute or an hour gameplay we could have know all that we should know about Abby and her motivations, and the people that she cares about. But she IS the villain. Why would you wanna play for more than 2 hours as the villain of a game? Why does this game have to act like the world is 90% of the time a cruel place, and that ultimately there is more "bad" than "good"? Why does it has so much negativism in such dark times? Why wouldn´t you feel the same connections and lessons by keeping Joel alive for more than 2 and half hours? Joel being alive could add SO MUCH MORE in terms of gameplay and more in therms of history. Imagine that in the 5 years time jump between the first and the second game, Ellie actually had built an extremely deep relationship with someone (Dina maybe). A relationship that was the OPPOSITE of what it was with Joel, and with that, Ellie actually had a bigger emotional gap between her and him. Because she found out the truth. And she found out that she was starting to become like Joel. So she pushed him away and found love with someone else. The same **** in Jackson with the WLF, only this time Joel doesn´t die. But Jackson does, maybe Tommy as well. Not only Ellie would be **** pissed off but Joel would too. Imagine a more brutal combat with JOEL. A man who had everything taken away from him. But in case if you´re wondering "Wouldn´t this compromise the emotional relationship that we have with Ellie? I mean, we have a much deeper connection with Joel then with Tommy and a bunch of generic NPCs, because we played with him during the entire first game. So killing somebody other than Joel as a motivation of vengeance for Ellie wouldn´t cause the same impact and rage on US, and consequentiy we wouldn´t have the same connection we have with Ellie when Joel was killed". I understand that. I DO. Naughty Dog had to sacrifice Joel in order to deepen an emotional connection between us and Ellie. But it could have been in SO MANY different ways. Joel could have feel guilty because he had put his guard down with Abby and because of that he blames himself for the destruction of Jackson. So we would play the 10 hour section with JOEL, and not Abby. By mid-game he could die in a more meaningful way, maybe he could die learning an ultimate lesson that we would only discover when playing with Ellie, maybe he should have achieved some level of redemption for all horrible things he did. It´s a real shame ND just cutted off the connection between Joel and Ellie in favor of some parts, that weren´t really necessary and could have been avoided. My admiration for Naughty Dog improves a little bit when I take a look at their point of view, and the genuine balls they had on killing off this iconic character in favor of something new, and an amazing connection between player and character. But ND also had to assume the possibility of dissappointing their fans. And as we can see by these scores (most from people who didn´t played the game, but still) people are pissed. A BIG part of me is **** pissed. I don´t know if anyone is gonna see this but I HAD TO LET IT OUT. What a shame Naughty Dog. Hopefully you get the chance of having the redemption that Joel never had. 5/10 - Congratulations, you may have just broken your fanbase in two.… Expand

    The beauty of this Original game has it all regardless of sexual orientation, gender or ethnicity it worked for everyone because at the core the story did not take over a pile of crap that we are witnessing today. The Original story had a roles of CHARACTERS that you could relate to while developing EMOTIONS and TRUST over time given the harsh environment, SURVIVING not being pump up for no apparent reason. That has been obliterated and evaporated into a thin air. it is no longer the game that you have imagined, waited for several years or spent endless hours discussing it with your friends while coming up with theories of how the sequel would turn out, in my head it could have been 4 or 5 narratives to TLOU2 imagine the excitement!!

    "you will never know unless you try it", "don't judge a book by its cover" will me response to that is - knowing fully what will happen every step of this journey, eventually won't gave any satisfaction of how this game turns out to be and on another note I don't need to experience every game out there to formulate an impression of where this game is heading.     getting that out of the way. here is what I think, knowing that I haven't played the game but apparently "Neil Druckmen" seems to think it will satisfy everyone, so really even himself is theorizing it in his own way.

    the man might've had the idea of the original game but the work, sweat and time of veterans within that studio has given it all to bring us an amazing game and would have been a probably a decent sequel if they were still there. Now they've left because questions are invalid, questions are toxic to the work place, questions are irrelevant to the "CAUSE" and those questions if ever raised you are a "homophobic". and all they are left with is a kindergarten staff, did they deliver on technical & visual aspects I bet they did. I have played so many games that would lack one thing or another but remember this is a sequel that has been tarnished by its story. this studio is a has been now, WHY?

    This game has turned to a one man show to fulfill his destiny primarily saying "my way or the high way". look here, history is plain and simple "Amy Hennig" was pushed out, "Bruce Straley" is no longer there being burnt out of working and needs a break and at last the old crew has jumped ship, if you ask me this is a pattern of abusive behavior of a man who wants to be the alpha, dominate and enforce his vision. Probably he'd say in his head"I worked hard for it, I deserve this, this is my time to shine".

    I just played through the game and was thrilled in every way until i saw the reviews of it here on Metacritic! I was shocked at how many people rated this game so badly, and this shortly after the release. It is simply impossible to play through the game at this time, which made me wonder what the basis of most reviews is.

    First we come to the gameplay and graphics:

    -The graphics are absolutely mindblowing, for a title that is still on the
    old generation consoles, it looks really beautiful.

    -the gameplay is not as many say monotonous and boring. Because in my opinion it's one of the best there is. It may be sluggish, but whether or not someone likes it depends on their opinion of such realistic gameplay. I myself find the realism and the feeling of always being vulnerable sensational!

    Now to the most criticized part: THE STORY

    The story may not be everybody's cup of tea but it's not bad in any way. Because Naughty Dog does something no one has ever done before, it questions your own decisions and makes you look at Ellie and Joel's story from a different angle. It shows the consequences based on our decisions in the first part, which when you think about it were devastating. Keyword: the last mission in the hospital! I couldn't put the controller away while I was playing through. The game simply tied me away.

    ATTENTION SPOILER:

    Many criticize the decision of joel's death, which I believe was well founded at the end of the game and not too bad. Just because the main character of the old game dies doesn't mean that the new main protagonist is worse. Ellie plays herself great and is still one of the most interesting characters there is.

    Now for the conclusion:
    The game has captivated me like no other game! It made me think and made me fear it. This is the first game in which I question my own actions, and I am shown that there are always two sides of a story and not everything you do can be justified. And before you say something negative about a game, you should first play through it!    … Expand

    I am writing this review whilst listening to the end credits, which probably makes me one of the few who have actually finished the game before publishing a review.

    Breaking this down in segments firstly the game's graphics are probably the best I have ever seen if not top 5, everything you look at is just shockingly beautiful from start to finish, often found my self walking so I could take a look at everything.

    Acting/performances are just second to nun expect the same sort of quality as with the first game, simply outstanding.

    Gameplay and mechanics have massively improved allowing for much much more variety in attacking.

    NOW the elephant in the room.
    The story, The last of us 2 tries to make some extremely bold moves right from the start and some work some don't, I think given the chance however you if you play the entire game your mind is changed..
    The theme is Rage, revenge and forgiveness you are constantly second-guessing yourself throughout the game questioning if your actions are just.
    The game really forces you to see both ends of the perspective, I do wish they allowed you to make some of the choices throughout as often you are forced to do some questionable actions.
    I won't say any more than that.

    If you enjoyed the first game as far as I am concerned this is a must-play as you will get answers to some of those questions, we all had at the end of the first.

    I really wish the leaks didn't happen for this game as i feel people have jumped the gun read the story and not actually played the game itself.

    Naughty Dog has absolutely delivered a worthy sequel.    … Expand

    Bad story, they try to get me fond of Abby, Joel's unjust and cowardly death is the worst experience you get from the game and the end is the worst, so many hours of effort in the game so that in the end there is no revenge or dignified.

Геймплей с Эбби затянут, но общая картина игры не так портится. Если исключить все эти недочеты, однозначно 10 из 10, но они есть и поэтому 8.     Man... this game brought me unlock my deep emotions. Definitely play the first one before Part 2. Trust me when I say this, the only reason why this score is so low is because the game got spoiled but it didnt turn out to be entirely true. Just, play the game. Form your own conclusions.

    **** sucks, shame that the first game was so good. RIP my man Joel, if that was him doing such stupid **** I like to believe it was just a doppelganger since part 1 Joel would never do that.

    I cant even begin to describe what a let down this was as a sequel. Good graphics will only get you so far, that is why amazing games like Star wars KOTOR have aged well in terms of a overall game well this one will be forgotten. I don't know what's worst the fact that we have to play as Abby even after she kills Joel or the fact that we don't get the satisfaction of her dying in the end. I get the message that was supposed to cross but everyone's hate and just not giving a **** about her character made it all so much worse that she didn't die. As well lets just completely forget that this world is full of lore that was thrown down the trash. People who communicate by sound is pathetic and lazy considering one of the monsters uses sound waves considering clickers.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
