    Anyone who gave less than 10 for this game clearly didn't get any of it's goals. This is art, pure and gorgeous. I'm just sitting here dealing with my emotionals and trying to absorve all that happened. Perfect. The best script EVER in a game, amazing gameplay, amazing visuals and the BEST STORY EVER!

    This game deserves ALL the awards

In The Last of Us: Part II the graphics were amazing, game-play was slightly better than the first game, but the story... It was just so disappointing, The last of us is Joel and Ellie, this isn't the last of us anymore. Ellie lost everyone around her and I had to wait 3 years to see that happen. Never in my life have I called a game "disappointing" but this fits the tittle, I seriously wish I never played this game… Expand

    Esse jogo é incrível, eu to de cara até agora, a Naughty Dog me surpreendeu demais. Fechei o jogo já, hj mesmo vou terminar de pegar os colecionáveis que faltam e platinar. Os gráficos são os mais lindos que eu já vi, a história muito bem feita, é uma história que te deixa com o estômago embrulhado, eu to essa semana toda pensando nesse jogo, respirando esse jogo, to com aquele gostinho deEsse jogo é incrível, eu to de cara até agora, a Naughty Dog me surpreendeu demais.     One of the best games i have every played.Amazing game. The graphics are breathtaking, the gameplay is great and every character is just lovable. Naughty Dog has done it again.

    I'm playing it with a ps4(not pro) and it is amazing! I don't understand all these bad reviews, 0 means there is nothing good, but if in your comment you write that the graphics is good as the gameplay it can not be 0, you just are like a sheep giving 0 to feel cool. That is sad

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Yesterday was completely over - I didn't care about this Abby, I just wanted to kill her and that's all. But no, well, I guess I'll watch the flashbacks and get me back for a moment in the theater for Ellie, and there's a crash. Man, I didn't want to play for Abby so much that 5 jumped her off the roof. Ellie is also "well done" at the very end, she could just get a weapon and kill Abby with Leo, no, she is not so interested. Where's the logic here? And I would still like the player to be given a choice (kill/spare). There is still some illogical - in the theater, if there were no Leo, then Abby would most likely kill Ellie and Dina (which she almost did), here, again, there is no logic, she will, in fact, then become like Joel, depriving all humanity of even a hypothetical chance to heal.

    If you take the relationship between Abby and Leo, then it turns out that these are the same Ellie and Joel from the first part, only at the minimals. I think the author wanted to tie the player to Abby in such a way that the player changed his mind about killing her. No, it didn't work. I wanted to kill her anyway.

    According to sensations, the game raised the question of why. I didn't feel anything during the game, I knew about Joel before the game was released, so his death was not a surprise. I thought when I finished the game - eh, there is not enough for Abby some local John Marston, if you draw analogies with Rdr 2. There were no much-remembered characters (about Abby's friends - generally silent). Although no, it was interesting what was going on with Tommy.

    But technically, the game is done perfectly. My PlayStation 4 Slim gives out enough FPS, thanks to Naughty Dog for the excellent optimization. The game did not seem difficult (played at the middle level), only dogs and stalkers were nervous.

    Now, I think to pass the game for the sake of achievements, but I will miss the videos. Sorry for my English.    … Expand

    Incredible game! Hard work it’s always good job! Thanks Naughty Dog for this amazing experience. It’s game not better than 1st part, but she is very interesting and soulful. I advise everyone TLOU 2 for adult people with moral and life position! It’s game not for a children, they don’t understanding depth of thought authors.

    Weird feeling about this game, while everything should be considered a masterpiece, it's a masterpiece with dislocations in the story it looks like Quasimodo now. Anything you'd want about a game is perfect except what made TLOU the perfect game it was. Anything is on spot except the most important thing THE STORY. What is this abomination........

I am a massive fan of the first and i can understand why some fans may be disappointed that this doesn't include Joel and Ellie as much as we expected. However part 2 shows a story how noone is the bad guy and no one is the good guy as we see the story from ellies perspective and also abbys. You spend about half the game as each character and as I was reluctant to play as Abby at first I slowly started to understand what the game was trying to tell me. That anything can happen in this world and its not just our beloved characters that go through the pain and traumas of this world., but everyone that ellie and joel have killed. The beauty of this game if you learn to like abby and understand her choices and the game confuses you by conflicting your own feelings about who you want to win. In terms of gameplay, it is next level. Probably the best level design I have seen in a game and my heart was pounding the whole way through each encounter. I could go on put hats of to naughty dog for doing the unexpected and telling a truly heart wrenching story.… Expand

This is a very high-quality game, which costs all the money, but it is not a masterpiece. As for me due to the approach to the plot, the game is too long. You can't enjoy the characters of the second half of the game, you don't want to follow them, because you already have your favorite characters in this game. Compared to Ellie, mirrored in some scenes, Abby, she's just boring, like the characters next to her. FOR ME, htey are not like an independent part of the conflict, but as specially prescribed for emotions and for bringing the game message and blah blah . Ally and Joel’s interaction is simple and charming, father and child, it works just on a subconscious level. Ally and her girlfriend are also good, but the rest of the characters (Owen, Mel ...), who have no less time on the screen are no so good. The game draws emotions out of you in the same way, so in the end, you don't care about the death of the characters. I don't think J death is a problem of the game, it just causes other emotions, not like the death of the characters of the first part, it has a different way , but the second half just can't make full way, to work to the end.     The game-play and the graphics are almost enough to cover up how **** the story is. I understand that not every story has a happy ending, but holy **** that's not what the fans wanted. All credits to the people who made the game work, but the guy who wrote the story should retire.

    Es Spielt sich genauso und trotzdem der Charakter umbesetztung hat es dasselbe Feeling.
    Dieses drückende Gefühl wenn man durch Joels ausgeht,und man das Bild von seiner Tochter sieht unbeschreiblich also spielt es selberals euch von der metacritik abschrecken zu lassen.
    Würde mehr Punkte geben für mich das Spiel 2020 bis Cyberpunk kommt :D    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. 1/10, just like most A-Squad members would say, except, I watched this dog/ape/giraffe of a game and couldn't even enjoy anything besides the streamer's commentary and his comical chat of which I was watching. I wasn't even playing it and all I can say is, I'm glad I saved 60 bones because maybe I can purchase something more useful, like bleach to clean my eyes with after watching this repetitive and strand-like type of game. Not only have you ruined the integrity of the story with political agenda, but also Naughty Dog as a whole (who have actually come out with notable games like Crash and some of the Uncharted's). It is just so appalling to me that this story got through group-thinks and conferences or whatever it may be that they hold in order to come together and criticize their work. To be frankly honest, there is just no way that a game as shockingly terrible as this one, especially when compared to it's predecessor, wasn't critiqued during its earliest of stages just for the story alone. My guess is, there were people who did try to speak up but when they did, they were berated and scolded because they were seen as sexist/transphobic/racist/homophobic/etc. and thus, others noticing that factor, decided to stay quiet as well. How does one create a masterpiece like the first game, and manage to, quite literally, beat the second game to a pulp like the lackluster (and lack-in-trailer main character) Abby when she brutally killed Joel. I'm not saying that it's bad because Joel died, you can do that one hundred percent and still make it a good game, but her killing him because of Joel killing her dad without any redemption from Ellie or understanding/guilt from Abby is what makes the story so pointless and poorly written. Shortened Evidence: Tommy would never ever leave something of which can trace them (the map) behind, especially when it was literally in his view and because of years spent in the apocalypse; Joel and Tommy together, both survived pretty long and well during this time, leading on to think they are smart and cannot be outwitted easily but nope, die to a trap/sabotage which can be easily seen as well as diverted from the beginning; Ellie wouldn't just let Abby go after everything, even with the kid, because of Joel's everlasting death on her head, Tommy's not to-the-death but brutal beating that led us to believe he died, Dina because of Ellie abandoning her true love (which Dina told her that she most likely won't be there if Ellie came back) to specifically go out and KILL Abby, all of her other friends that were literally killed by Abby and Nora, and literally the whole first game where where Joel literally blacks out and wakes up in a hospital with the last thing of him seeing is Ellie getting taken away and him being told that he won't be able to see her because they have A CHANCE (not even certain) of a vaccine to be made from her, as if that vaccine, unlike any other vaccine that has ever been created in the history of mankind, will be shipped out completely for free AND the only source is a teenage girl, how many products of vaccines would that even create? Plus, you're in an apocalypse, you really don't think there would be any power-hungry folks trying to get control of the vaccine and literally use it to reap the benefits. The fact that the devs even still try to bring up how Ellie is mad at Joel in the end for not letting her die and make that vaccine is just so poor because the whole story is there, and maybe, even if Ellie was never told the full details (im talking full deets, not "yeah, they were going to kill you for a vaccine and I just grew a bond towards ya and didn't want that to happen, 'nuff said" because if Joel explained it the way it was, Ellie would be on his side whole-heatedly) she should be able to single-handedly understand the concept of a vaccine for the turned in an apocalyptic environment, especially when shes seen people kill others over food, resources, shelter, etc. Just writing a review about this game gets me angry and I didn't even play the game, I watched it! It's just so absurd. This game deserves less than the two fingers Abby bit off Ellie, so I'll give it 1/10 fingers,… Expand

    It's funny to see how many people reviewed this game before they even played through the Intro and how many people that did play the entire game, don't understand anything about the first Game and the second game.

    But don't blame naughty dog for giving you the opportunity to decide which way you want to play this game. Of course the graphics are impressive and the mechanics are a true improvement over the first game but that's not the part that makes this game great. It's the story and if you don't like it I won't blame you for it but if you're saying it's bad in generally you have no idea what you talking about. But let me say this;
    If you loved the first game then this game will absolutely make you feel every single emotion that Ellie feels. If Ellie shakes you shake. If Ellie feels pain you feel pain. If she laughs you'll laugh and if that doesn't convince you that this game has a great way of telling a story you should may question yourself what you expect from a video game.

    So Please don't focus on the negative reviews of this game because most of the people have no idea what they're talking about. My advice;

    Не рекомендую, игра испорчена. Очень жалко разработчиков cg контента, работа была сделана титаническая. Всё притензии к сюжету, героям и к событиям, что показывает это поделие от Дракмана. Очень много лорных нестыковок, попытка показать то чего ни в каких условиях быть не может.

    The game is really good. Stop being salty and close minded. Granted, the pacing could have been better, that is my biggest problem with the game. But does that really make the games story poorly written and bad? The amount of insane moments in the game are beyond any 0/100 scores. Good god i hate the human race.

    Pobre raza que solo se casa con una consola y esa gente débil de mente, yo me considero un machista pero veo claramente la realidad y lomque pasa la n el juego no me afecta en nada, exelente historia y final un poco forzado pero de ahí a criticarlo mal por tener un buen salario o ser pobre de mente ya es otra cosa

    The Last of Us Part II is the best game made by Naughty Dog on PS4. The History of Ellie and her journey with Joel in First part was amazing but The Last of Us II is masterpiece. Every normal player must experience this fantastic story. Graphics and game physics are absolutely perfect. I Recommends this game for everybody.

    Love the game, love the story. Glad to see women who aren't overtly sexualized for the benefit of male gaze. The people brigading this with low scores are afraid that if all women are perfect subordinate objects their delusional power fantasies about that one girl who was nice to them at the library might never play out.

    This game truly is the game of this generation. Honestly, so many feelings and thoughts and experiences bound into one game. Naughty dog are true and proper story tells. They make you feel how the character feels in the good moments and definitely the deep and gritty moments of the game. 10/10

    People rating this game so poorly are mostly bigoted cry babies. They gameplay is excellent, it looks, sounds and feels amazing, and most importantly the story feels real, it isn’t a generic Hollywood story where the good guy wins no matter how much bad **** he does. Spectacular game, looking forward to playing it again.

    The story is gripping and certainly not for your average "fairytale" story gamer. The combat is intense and the amount of detail in the game is fantastic. How they can pull out this game on a 2013 machine is pure development mastery.

Loved the story structure of Seattle day 1-3 and character switch. Impressed with how they handled the different perspectives. Flash back sequences were amazing. Wasn’t thrilled about how they handled the Joel’s scene but felt satisfied by the resolution with Ellie’s story. Gameplay mechanics, level design and graphics are masterclass. You are able to approach every enemy encounter with multiple pathways and combat can be so diverse and intense. Some truly amazing action sequences and set pieces.

    New factions introduced and world building were well realised. New companions Lev, Yara, Jesse & Dina were fine but weren’t as interesting as Joel, Tess & Henry. LGBT & SJW agenda were handled really well but the pregnant thing was a bit in your face.

    Loved how dark, gritty and shocking the game was. Most of the story beats resonated with me. It’s such a different game from the first but Still feels like a natural extension of TLOU. I’m glad we got a sequel. Many are not happy about it and I can understand why. I did have some issues with the game but once I had completed It, I was absolutely impressed but what I had jsut experienced. Not many games even come close in ambition, quality and production. It’s another masterpiece for me. Hope there’s a third.    … Expand

    A strong sequel to a beloved game. TLoU2 shines in all aspects, with a special mention going to the story and acting in particular. Minor gripes are a few difficulty spikes and a dodgy boss fight in the second half.

I grew to love who I hated and dislike who I loved. I laughed, I teared up. I felt anger and elation. It’s the new high water mark for video game characters and I can’t wait for everyone to see just how special it is.     Look I understand people dont like the whole SJW thing in the game. But to review bomb this game based on that is silly. It is pushed a bit much but who actually cares.

    The story is solid. Not the best they have told but still good. Gameplay is easily 9/10. Great Stealth and Third person action.

    Graphics are amazing. 4k tv with hdr turned on is unbelievable.

    It is an easy 8/10 for me

Playing as the main antagonist for 5 hours in some weak attempt to garner sympathy and empathy for her is the absolute weakest narrative choice I’ve ever seen in any video game. It really is a shame they’ve shoved politics and inclusivity to the forefront of one of the greatest games of all time. And instead of just making an amazing story, they pander to the woke progressive left that cares more about diversity of characters than actual quality and emotional depth.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I can't say I liked the game, but it's a solid 10. It was an excruciating experience yet cathartic. And of very strong emotions.
    I hated Abby all the way but I got her motivation.
    I was fond of Ellie, then feared of her, then feared for her.
    I hated Tommy for being ok to leave Seattle and then for disrupting Ellie's peace while she obviously was struggling with severe PTSD.
    And to my surprise, much like as in TLOU I was afraid that Joel would leave Ellie, in TLOUPII I was afraid that Ellie would kill Abby in the end.
    Maybe it can't work for everybody, but through the game I really got to that point when I was hugely relieved with the ending and shattered with it's cinematic language.
    Don't know if it was intended, but when I saw Ellie with two missing fingers LOTR parallels just stroke me: like Frodo Ellie carries her dark burden that changes her forever and comes back, mutilated and empty, to the home that doesn't feel her own.    … Expand
