    Well most of the reviews I have read speak about gameplay being outdated, surely that would also apply to other sequels such as gta or call of duty for repetitive aspects. The Last Of Us has introduced new features to it's method and yet I find myself in "awe" over the world they have created here. The story is ready again, and it leaves us with many strange feelings, but it's all about the player's impartiality, so you decide which villain you like best. The game is worthy of a GOTY.     La verdad el juego es excelente, valla es crudo el videojuego pero muy bueno por un momento pensé en dejarlo ya que es cruel pero cuando te vas adentrando en la historia no la puedes dejar, mi opinión profesional es un excelente videojuego de esta generación de consola y si lo quieren probar el recomiendo que se esperen a la play 5 para probarlo con mejores gráficos

    I just finished The Last of Us Part 2. The largely negative user review scores I find baffling. Having done nothing but play the game the last two days (like it was my full time job 12 hours a day plus I don’t know how anyone finished it faster then me) I am moved, I am heart broken, and I have grown. Are we the perpetrators of our own harm? That is the biggest question I’m left withI just finished The Last of Us Part 2. The largely negative user review scores I find baffling. Having done nothing but play the game the last two days (like it was my full time job 12 hours a day plus I don’t know how anyone finished it faster then me) I am moved, I am heart broken, and I have grown. Are we the perpetrators of our own harm? That is the biggest question I’m left with having completed the game. We don’t always know the direct consequences of our actions but the consequences persist nonetheless.

    I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone (although I’m tempted to believe anyone who wanted to have this spoiled has already done so) but suffice to say this game tackles some really complex issues and raises important questions. What am I willing to do for revenge, what purpose do I have, what am I good for without such purpose, what do we do with our own trauma? No single game can ask and answer all these questions in a conclusive way, but this game takes time and moments to allow you to breath into the unease of those very hefty concepts. Was it fun? It’s hard to say, I would argue neither this game or it’s predecessor is as concerned with that as it is with you reflecting humanity and all it’s flaws in indescriminate detail. You may not love Ellie by the end of this. There are no hero’s here. The underlaid question, “does acting on the most human of impulses in trauma lead to the perpetuation of that trauma? Can we grow from this?” continues to circle in my mind. This isn’t just gaming, it’s a psych course on the effects of PTS. Putting your hands behind some heinous actions.

    But at the end of this all you’ll still want better for Ellie while understanding what trauma causes. View her kindly as she is not the sole perpetrator at fault here, an unending cycle of violence that she was born into that she knows no alternative to is the real villain at the center of this game. I’ll give her (and her counterpart) the grace of forgiveness, since the world there been built around her has not afforded her the luxury.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm a huge fan of TLOU and the universe created by NaughtyDog. I've been hype for this release since they announced it in 2016 and was really enjoying the game for the first 6-7 hours or so, playing as Ellie primarily and seeing Joel's death was a great way to justify going to Seattle. After this first honeymoon phase though the game got progressively worse for me. Playing as Abby for such a large portion of the game really killed my urge to play. Seeing her perspective of what Ellie was doing was honestly a pretty good idea by NaughtyDog but I think the pure amount of time spent as her really ruined it for me. By the ending Abby had spared Ellie's life twice and I hardly had an urge to kill her anymore. I didn't personally like how Neil forced his SJW agenda into the game but it wasn't a major negative, just something to bring up. This game probably doesn't deserve a 7 at the end of the day but I just love this franchise so much and the game definitely has it's strengths. When major events happened and with Joel's death specifically I really felt emotions for the characters and for an hour or two after his death I wanted to kill them just as badly as Ellie, these emotions fizzled out as the game progressed. The graphics are obviously good and the pure depth of the world was amazing. I enjoyed knowing I could approach encounters however I wanted. If the entire game could've been as good as the first 1/3 this would be a 10/10 game. If I weren't so biased towards loving this world and franchise this game would be a 5 or 6.… Expand

    This video game is a notorious change from its predecessor, it shows us a darker side of what Naughty Dog is capable of creating, this game has good mechanics, good and refined controls, and a story that will put you to the test of what you could do for revenge, in a nutshell, this game will go down in history as one of the unforgettable PS4 exclusives

Yes the story is slightly disappointing in that Joel is killed before Ellie's eyes turning her in to one crazy **** on a revenge spree. They've turned the violence and gore notch to maximum and what you get is a proper cat and mouse game relying on stealth, stamina and and and a good old brain bashing with a piece of pipe or baseball bat. Sneaking around and taking down the WLF made me feel like Rambo taking out the Russians and I'm only a couple of hours in to the game yet. Can't wait to see how the story develops. I did hate the fact that there was too much LGBTQ in the storyline, about too much for my liking, but aside from that the visuals and graphics are eye candy for the eyes, it is a masterpiece that retains some of the charm from the first game and yet builds on it some more. Peccato solo non si cadi da cavallo come in Red Redemption 2 ma al di là di questo impossibile non dire che questo capolavoro assoluto ti fa sentire parte di esso così reale così emozionante da sembrare vero.     If you liked The Last of Us for the Game play, the adventure and the world you like this Game. the story a little messed up but as a whole story you understand whats going on during the sec half of the story during the needed Flashbacks to file in the Blanks what happen during the years you missed by the time skip between Games.

    If you liked the first one...you should like this one too. It’s beautiful, polished, and emotional. I don’t really understand the hate on it. Not coming for anyone’s opinion who played the whole way through and didn’t like it...but to those who didn’t even give it a real chance...this low rating isn’t fair. Even if you didn’t like it...it’s not a 3.6. That’s obviously absurd.

    However, the film like narrative, and characterisations and acting are better than anything I’ve seen, as a whole, in 20 years. I don’t understand the low Scores here, but I’m 51 and appreciate the story atmosphere and art Style.     Sony deserves to take a loss on this. There never should have been a sequel. If they had to do one, it should NOT have included the characters from the first game, but taken place elsewhere in the same Universe. I don't need to add spoilers, they're all over the place. No I am not a fan of Joel’s death, it feels so out of character for him to give his name out and trust strangers compared to the first game. Graphics are amazing and I really enjoyed the gameplay, voice acting was alright don’t believe people saying it was terrible when it wasn’t. How ever I did enjoy seeing abbys story arc surprise surprise(sorry I have an open mind). BUT when playing as Abby in the boss fight against Ellie, wtaf??!??! you can’t expect us to want to fight a character we love, so many time during the fight I wouldn’t press square during the QuickTime events because I didn’t want to do anything to Ellie, nor did I try to fight her, I got Abby shot multiple times before realising I have to fight her. Alright I could go on forever about what this game does right and wrong a lot more wrong but this was going to be a 7/10 for me, until the ending, the flashback scene was nice made my eyes tear up but then it cuts back and j ends w her walking off, are ye serious?!? Would have been way better if another 10-20 min was added to see the aftermath of her returning to dina, tommy, JJ and all that but no, hence the 5/10. Would I recommend this game? The graphics, story, music/sound etc so far have been on point. Get over it, this is not the first time a significant character has passed in a game/movie/tv show. Understand the context of the game. Also, with regards to the main characters, what is it about them that threatens your manhood? We live in a woke world, for better or worse. You need to adapt. You're in for a rude awakening. This is 2020...

    I have been monitoring reviews. Reviews were posted within hours of the game release. No way someone could beat the game in under an hour unless they did some crazy speed run. People are just mad that a main character passed and the LGBTQ representation in the game.

    For those more level-headed, try the game out, you won't be disappointed. Buy the game, beat it, sell it on a third party site. You lose what 20 bucks for playing the game? I was skeptical buying the game because of all the leaks, but I am so glad I did.

    Everything is made with a type of precision and care not seen in most video games. The dialog, acting, graphics, and sound design all come together to create a masterpiece. One of my favorite games of this generation. Ignore the negative reviews. They're mad that marginalized groups finally have representation in a video game.

I’m actually ok with sexual minorities, feminism and anyone else included in this story.( Long and happy you live, guys!) Don’t even try to tell that the game is hated because of people’s intolerance. There are still many people who have respect and empathy. The story is awful, because it lost the beloved character. There’s no sense to move forward after this scene. This game lefts nothing but despair and feeling that’s there’s no hope. I don’t like new character Ebby for only one reason - she killed Joel. That is the only thing that matters about her. The last of us is not a story about Joel and Elly anymore. Thanks for ruining this. For me the second part doesn’t exist.… Expand

    Poor storyline: you buy the game for the characters you love and end up with Joel being slaughtered in the first hours and with being forced to play (for hours) as his murder, a character you hate. The game tries hard to push you into liking Abby, but the result is instead just annoying. Had to force myself to reach the end, which is also totally disappointing since you don’t even get the revenge you wanted.

    Forced **** topics that strikes as exaggerated beyond any Suspension of disbelief. Almost all the main characters are women or asians, whic is fairly unrealistic. Even as the classical huge/strong human enemy they choose a giant fat woman.. it’s very rare to see two men talking with each other in the whole game. White males are killed and replaced with women and asian, the couple Joel + Ellie wasn’t woke enough so was replaced with Abby + Lev. Finally, not to leave any woke topic behind, we have gay characters, trans characters and so forth. Nothing against that in general, but here everything looks out of context and forced, it looks too much. Left Behind was also including such topics but not in this way and indeed got good ratings.    … Expand

    TLOUS2 is the only console game I have requested a refund . I bought the original on the PS3, this sequel is a betrayal to the fans. I truly pity people who aren't able to refund their money. Graphics and sound do not make a game, Tetris and Chess are timeless regardless of the money put into it. If the game's not fun, it isn't "required" to give it a specific rating quota.

The story is good, if a bit slow in the first 3 hrs or so. The open exploration segments are a bit slow compared to other more action packed segments or flashbacks. Don’t listen to the negative reviews about there being some hidden“agenda” the main character is gay and has a girlfriend, so what? It’s not shoved down your throat and is handled the same way as most heterosexual romances in games. Also in regards to Joel’s death in the first hr of the game, this was not unexpected. If you payed attention in the first fake you’d notice they Joel and his Brother Tommy did a lot of bad things to survive and throughout the first game you anger various groups on your way toward the end of the game. After the climax of the first game and how it ends it makes sense that certain groups would hold a grudge and possibly hunt down Joel. Joel’s story is still very important in this game and he makes appearances in Ellie’s flashbacks. TL,DR If you liked the first one and you don’t mind playing as a Girl who likes girls then you will prob like this one too...… Expand

    This is a great game! The mechanics are basically the same, but the graphics are updated with better mo-cap and some new things added. Bunch of whiner dude-bro neckbeards tanking this game for no reason other than their hate of the gay community during pride month.

This title leaves you with a lot to digest and think about and is not for the faint of heart it will have you questioning morales and it’s up to YOU to decide right from wrong and this depends upon your perspective. TLOU2 strayed far from its predecessor in many ways, to the point of absurdity. A main beloved character dies in the most cheesiest way possible (Neegan anyone? We've seen this over and over again). Cheap shock value, lazy writing.

    ND can say what they want about these negative reviews, truth is....Story is everything in a game like this. I personally didn't want to play as Abbie, most didn't care about Abbie either. That section of the game just wasn't interesting. That's really it. This ain't about agendas, or whatever wokeness you want to put in the game. It just simply wasn't interesting.

    4/10 - Graphics, music, environments were phenomenal. But the story and pacing is what really killed it for me. Story is everything to me when it comes to games like this. I understand that Neil wanted to create shock value...But this ain't a series that comes out every year to do that with....These games take up to 7 years to make just to throw away the previous 7 years? I think the problem with the bad reviews from people who wanted happy endings, wanted to play as Joel and Ellie and live in nostalgia of the first game. You need to have an open mind. A second playthrough if you really want but closing your mind off to the experience because of the first act is the reason this game has poor user ratings. This game has an exceptional narrative, like, a mildly weird one considering what I would consider the posture of a story being.. a little slumped in some places. But overall, boxes to check; exceptional representation of women, diversity in orientation, gender and race, hard discussions and quite poignant representations of PTSD, a grit-teeth look at violence and the conception of a very unique way to tell a story. It makes you reconsider how you play the first game. The game is **** intense. Picture me, just chillin' at my craft station to hear the unmistakable sound of thudding footsteps towards me to be thrown out of what felt like a little pause screen. Wrong. Very wrong. Beaten almost to death wrong. The game has a way of keeping you in edge but killing you into safety. Is it crickets or a clicker? The fear in the gameplay outside of what feels like being an unreliable narrator is what adds to the charm but also kind of detracts from the linear element or want of nostalgia for a game.
    Some people are reviewing it without even playing. Thank you naughtydog for honestly making my birthday and having me stay up for like 3 days to finish it. I hate you. But I love you. And I get it. It's an adult game, made by adults. To expect sunshine, happy endings and nostalgia that isn't somewhat bittersweet is not a realistic build up of this franchise. Thank you for making me ugly sob but truly reflect on my actions. Thank you for sticking to the artistic integrity. Thank you for not giving us a "happy" ending.    … Expand

    Fantastic Game, story, and etc. Would reccomend if you enjoyed the first game, or interested in part II. The leaks don't show everything, it is a different experience when playing it.

    Incredible visuals and music can't make up for a complete lack of skill in writing. The story is unbelievable, full of plot holes, often depraved in failed attempts at adding shock factor and spits on the legacy of the original. A painful game to experience.

    It is further insult to injury that Naughty Dog used false advertising to sell the game to fans of the first.

Of course its sad that joel died but that makes you want to go after abby and kill her. The second part of the game all the way to the end is buns. You play as abby through the second part of the game almost all the way to the end. You find and kill jessie, wound tommy, wound dina, and almost kill ellie. The last part of the game you play as ellie to go kill abby. You find her and have a fight but end up letting her go. Thats what made me put this game as a 1/10. The person you were going to kill gets let off. Thats complete utter horse poop. #Justice For Joel. So stupid that ellie let abby get away. No wonder why critics could only talk about the first part of the game. So stupid. I'll be returning the game. Not worth the money.… Expand

    Tlou2 es un juego totalmente distinto al primero, realmente pensaron que iba hacer igual? una historia basada en amor? claramente no. La parte 2 refleja venganza y odio, te lleva a muchas emociones, desde la felicidad, tristeza, impotencia e incomodidad, qué juego logra eso realmente?.
    Técnicamente el juego es perfecto, excelentes gráficas, ambiente, animaciones y música, es una experiencia que solo se puede entender al experimentarla y no dejarse llevar por comentarios de gente que solo se basó en spoilers y que llegaron sólo a la parte de Abby jajajaja.
    La historia está muy bien hecha, no había otra manera de mostrar ambas realidades, sáquense el estereotipo de juegos que tienen en la cabeza y solo disfruten, valió cada segundo que jugué.

Now I will admit the transition to playing as Abby is a bit odd it took some getting use to her character but now I see why Abby did what she did and I've loved seeing her story. To all those haters who just hate on the fact Ellie is a lesbian or Lev is trans are so simple minded. They can't see that the storytelling in this game is cinematic breathtaking beat for beat. They choose not to accept the writing because they are typically petty that the writers would have consequences to impacting actions from the first game. let's talk about the first game, it was a masterpiece in storytelling. Naughty Dog had a lot of expectations to deliver another astounding story, and in my opinion, they did. The music, atmosphere, graphics are all astounding. Game-play is rough from time to time, usually with enemies being or allies being broken (not in the sense that I suck, just that dodging only worked like half the time). However, there are great moments of game-play such as the island, the sky-bridge, the rat-king, and almost all of Santa Barbara. The only reasons I'm giving this game an 8 and not a 10 like the first game was some storytelling decisions. I understand why Abby would want to kill Joel, I get why Ellie let go of Abby when she could have easily killed her. I am almost entirely okay with the plot. Some things that threw me off is why Joel would easily trust a stranger and going back to their place. There probably could have been a way better, more logical reason to kill off Joel and kick off the story, this was not it. Also when you're playing as Abby, the whole Lev and Yara sideline, in retrospect, did not feel like it fit the entire story. They were entertaining, but I don't know if it was for the sake of the entirety. Another story issue, and was a very main thing, why would I want to play the antagonist and try and kill Ellie? I believe Naughty Dog wants us to feel conflicted, but I already felt conflicted. Last Of Us fans have played way more numbers of hours as Ellie and very few as Abby, so why would I want to kill her? No one in this story is perfect. I think Naughty Dog deliberately made about everyone savages, which I'm fine with, but I don't want to be playing as Abby and going against the person I'd rather be playing, it took me out of the game, personally. Even though the ending in this game was not as hard-hitting as the first, I still understood and enjoyed it somewhat. They probably could have improved on it rather than choosing to leave a bitter, sour taste in my mouths. Preferably end with a cut scene, that has Ellie and Joel bonding. I'm okay with her forgiving Joel, but at least have them hugging or something, to reward the people who have played twenty plus hours.

    Those are my issues, critiques, praises of the game. Please stop being petty about writing decisions that you choose not to even being willing to understand. Give Naughty Dog credit for at least giving good graphics and game play and the balls and bravery to tell a story like this.    … Expand
