    The last of us 2 is probably one of the most immersive games I’ve ever had a chance to get my hands on on a ps4. The story is very complex and very well written and it makes you understand why the people do what they do in This game.     The originals game was driven by very believable and well written characters more so than anything else. Joel and Ellie were very relatable in a surrogate father and adopted daughter sense. Two simply trying to survive the world and leave it better than they found it. The characters were likable and very much built a bond not only with each other, but with us as the player.

    Then here comes Part 2 where Joel is suddenly the bad guy, there's nothing hopeful, there is no way around making terrible choices and then being chastise for it. Then being forced to play a significant portion of the game as the character who killed him. While there is motivation for this character to have done what she did, we didn't build the relationship or understand the character like we had with Joel and Ellie in the previous game. Prior to taking control, we literally only knew her as an enemy.

    Sure, the graphics and sounds are great, but it doesn't excuse the bad story and character assassinations we didn't need or want. Joel represents the fans in their eyes, he deserved a better ending and we deserved a better game.    … Expand

    Where to even begin. I am a 33 year old who has been a gamer my whole life. I enjoy all sorts of story driven/combat based games. I enjoy difficult games, I enjoy easy games. Basically any non FPS game. This. This game. I started playing Friday night and basically did not stop until I was done. Simply put it is amazing. Do not buy into the review bombs

    Excellent game. The story is very engaging and they have greatly improved the gameplay. Don’t listen to the haters, this is a really well done game and ranks easily into my favorites.

    This is a masterpiece and Joel's dying is a part of story. We all loved joel but not even close to how much druckmann does. He created him and made us love him. He has the right to destroy his own creature when he feels it's necessary and be sure that was even harder for him to destroy his own beloved character. This game was the best exclusive ever released on ps4. I'm pretty sure thatThis is a masterpiece and Joel's dying is a part of story. We all loved joel but not even close to how much druckmann does. He created him and made us love him. He has the right to destroy his own creature when he feels it's necessary and be sure that was even harder for him to destroy his own beloved character.     It’s been a blast getting to play this game with these characters. Everything on it is good, it’s a perfect sequel to the first game, with a better gameplay and a huge improvement in AI. Loved it.

    I bought this game knowing full well what was going to happen beforehand and thought the ending journey would be worth it. I was wrong. As a good indicator of where this game stands, Game of Thrones Season 8 had better story writing than this awful bastardization of one of the best compelling stories of all time.     En fin yo ame este juego a nivel emocional, de historia, jugabilidad,etc...
    Y lo que no entiendo es por qué a la gente no le gustó, solo porque mataron a Joel ? Me parece una estupidez y se sabía que en algún momento tendría que morir.
    Y si no es eso la verdad no entiendo ya UE tiene exelentes gráficos, es innovador con las mecánicas de juego, la historia es una cosa que uno nunca se habría imaginado(positivamente), y ese soundtrack de Santaolalla es el sello de calidad a parte de ser de los estudios con más dedicación en sus proyectos y por eso es es el mejor juego que jamás haya tenido una generación de videojuegos.
    De los únicos defectos con los que me tope fueron uno que otro Bugg y y que es un poco pausado pero en fin the last of us 2 es una obra maestra y los personajes que incluyeron yo los ame y los odie así que felicitaciones naughty dog    … Expand

The game is brutal, truthful, and i could see how it could make you feel very uncomfortable as a straight white dude. I want to rate a 9.5 because the game does feel like an extension of the first game, I can’t decide if this is a bad thing or not. It is true killing Joel sucked, I screamed at the TV. “No wtf” I actually did this a few times, I couldn’t set it down. I am Joel, I’d have done everything Joel did, he lives on in me. This is a story about hate and ugliness. Ellie loses EVERYTHING, she can even play guitar at the end. It’s true it’s not the story I wanted, that doesn’t make it a bad story. Being me, I don’t even want to see Ellie kiss someone, she’s like a child to me. How is it even possible that a video game can make me feel like that. Great work ND.… Expand

    1) we didnt empathize with her couse she killed our favorite character. what were you thinking?
    2) if you wanted to show how the good guy can be the bad one in another story, fine, let us play with her for one episode not the other FU*K half, that was such a TRAS*
    3) The end of the game was trash. i think that all wanted revenge. Ellie lost a lot of people, friends, the person she loves and lost her "dad". just for forgiving the one that caused that. TRASH.
    4) I would have preferred a shorter game but with the in-depth story of Ellie´s, than a long game with a character that I did not like and let them kill me because I did not care

На настоящий момент пользовательский рейтинг у игры 3,7 и я очень надеюсь, что когда волнаОдна из лучших игр, в которые мне доводилось играть. Все мои знакомые, кто хейтят данную игру даже не играли в неё, а на момент публикации данного отзыва ачивку за полное прохождение игры получили менее 4% игроков, отсюда и выводы - что люди просто как стадо транслируют чьи-то мнения, не имея своего. На настоящий момент пользовательский рейтинг у игры 3,7 и я очень надеюсь, что когда волна хайпового хейта tlou 2 сойдёт на нет игра получит свои 7,5 - 8,5 баллов, которые она и заслуживает.

    Данная игра это не весёлое развлечение для всей семьи - она заставит вас делать то, чего вы не хотите (с точки зрения морали например), она покажет вам, что её мир это не белое и чёрное, не хорошие и плохие. Она заставит вас посмотреть на всё происходящее иначе, заставит делать то, о чём вы будете сожалеть, будто вы проживаете все эти события, а не просто являетесь сторонним наблюдателем.

    Overall gameplay and graphics are good but story is terrible. With this story, this is just another zombie game. At least I was expecting them to continue the story to find the cure, not something like this story. A sequel like this wasn't needed at all imo.

Even from the starting section of the snowball fight, revenge is the main factor. it's such a lazy concept to base an entire story around, especially with an ending as completely dumb as the one forced onto us for the pricetag of $60. Important characters are introduced and forgotten like nothing, such as Manny, Jesse, and Yara. Gameplay is mirroring that of the first last of us, except tediousness takes a center stage. I don't even have to explain how stupid it is to make everyone play as Abby so late into the game.

    It feels rushed, lazy, and boring. All three things I hate in a video game personally. But hey, if you like having beloved characters in a similar game to the first they were introduced in, except with a horrible narrative that I think is fair to say tarnishes the first, then go for it. Waste your money. To me, TLOU doesn't have a sequel.    … Expand

    This is definitely not a game for children

    It wraps up the last of us story quite neatly, this game completes its predecessor, it gives weight to the decisions made in the last game even more, its a tale of consequences, redemption & the path to salvation

    This game challenges the player in ways I dont think they've ever been challenged, in most games, you're the protagonist, the lines are clear, theres very often no greys, no conflict of morality, often missions are search & destroy with no after thought for the death of any of the characters

    I like how everything is given significance, you wander through an abandoned home and find the letters of the deceased, either missing or turned into a zombie, one scene or moment that really struck me, was when Abby had to retrieve medical supplies from the basement of the hospital in Seattle, prior to entering, she's told that in the early days, that the hospital was ground zero for the outbreak, finding the letters of the people there, the dread of isolation, the longing for loved ones and to be free of quarantine, reminds of this time we're currently in, the covid pandemic of 2020, its a reminder that theres a person behind it all, zombie/scar/WLF

    Theres a feeling in the pit of my soul I can't quite name, its the feeling of peace after you've been crying, that silence, when after your sadness or pain is gone, the feeling that your body is just at peace

    It was a quite a journey, I feel, for me personally, its taken the edge of my cynicism, if only just a little

    The ending was bittersweet, its like a coen brothers ending, I feel most will try and grasp for happiness to find it not there, and in doing so, they'll have miss the point unfortunately

    I think, this will be a game I'll revisit, when I need to remember that, we'll be okay, despite the trials & tribulations of our lives    … Expand

En todos los aspectos demuestra cuidado de detalles; ya sean graficos, jugabilidad, historia... sobre todo en la historia. Pues a pesar de ver que los supuestos "fans" lo critiquen demasiado tienen que tener en cuenta que sin algunas muertes como la de joel esta historia no existiría e incluso no existiria el juego. Yo considero que quedó muuy bien nuevamente en todos los aspectos. Y con respecto al final tambien muy criticado... pues considero que no tienen un buen criterio pues lo que el final queria mostrar o lo que yo creo que los desarrolladores de Naughty Dog inc. Querian enseñar son 3 puntos: la venganza no lleva a nada bueno y es un ciclo infinito, el mundo no gira en torno a un personaje (de ahi el uso de abby y ellie pues muestran por las cosas que cada uno pasa y que no solo a alguien le ocurren cosas malas) y el tercer punto es el instinto de supervivencia y que no se mata por lujo, si no por necesidad de mantenerte con vida ( como podemos apreciar en este vasto mundo ). Con lo anterior dicho me refiero a que ellie al final fue inteligente y prefirio dejar ir a joel y a sus miedos y finalizar este ciclo de venganza en vez de continuar con este derramamiento de sangre y perdidas innecesarias.… Expand

    I enjoyed the game and I think the plot matches perfectly with flashbacks and present.
    The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that you play too much with this character and not Ellie, but it’s fine.
    Just don’t judge the game for what happened and try to understand the story.

Excelente calidad de juego,todo muy pulido y trabajado, gráficos, música , gesticulaciones en personajes, solo mi decepción en la muerte de Joel al inicio del juego, entiendo que que buscaban despertar ese ímpetu en seguir jugando por venganza y los flashback de Ellie con Joel son para ir alimentando esa sensación,pero no pueden tratar al personaje más importante de la primera entrega así,creo hablo por.muchos que anhelamos la segunda parte y no puedo creer que le dieran una muerte así a Joel,acaso Naughty Dog no se dio cuenta la ovación del público al ver a Joel aparecer en el primer trailer mostrado al público.....acabaron de tajo con quién mejor nos sentíamos identificados y apartir de ahí el juego tomo un rumbo hueco,creo que malograron esa sensación en dar muerte así y de esa manera a el personaje principal...de todo lo demás un 10.… Expand

    Non ascoltate le persone che dicono che questo sia la rovina di TLOU, non lo è. Questo capolavoro è incredibile, pieno di colpi di scena e con un gameplay incredibile.     A phenomenal game with heavy, emotional themes of loss and revenge. Great gameplay, a rich, well detailed game world and realistic characters you quickly grow to care about and invest in. I can't understand why this game has such a low user score. Don't listen to the naysayers this game is amazing!

People may find it hard that a favourite character dies early and youre forced to look at them from a different view. In our eyes ellie and joel were the good guys but from other perspectives, in other characters eyes they were not. The graphics are stunning and i felt the game was alot scarier in some ways. There were alot more dynamics. Although the other characters didnt steal my heart, i liked the aspect of looking through their eyes, playing some parts of the games from different views and understanding where everybody is coming from. The stealth is very fun to do. I loved the different groups that were featured in the game. Sometimes there is a throwback which is playable, and it brings a back memories from the game before. It feels nostalig. I dont really feel there are politics in the game. Abby is strong but in an age where zombies and infected are roaming and people are your enemies aswell it pays to be strong. Its not weird in my eyes.… Expand

    Muy bueno, la gente que da malas notas es gente que ni siquiera a probado el juego o sé guía por solo spoilers sin probar el gameplay y las otras personas, sé centra mucho en la historia por qué están acostumbrados a jugar juegos genéricos dónde la historia va fuera de la realidad, y the last of us 2 nos muestra unas decisiones y personalidades de personajes más humanos y reales.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
