Whoever created this story should be fired for ruining an excellent franchise and wasting the efforts of talented game engineers.     Recommend?? If you got money sure why not but honestly i would rather just wait for price drop or borrow it cause looking back at this game in the future will just be another game that gets your attention for a while just for another game pulling the same cash grab tactic.

    Masterpiece, this is why I love Playstation exclusives. Last of Us games are one of the best games I have ever played. I don't understand hate for the sequel. I had wonderful 32 hours spent in this game and I wanna play it again right away.

Я сам его не проходил, сидел рядом с другом, с которым мы вместе стримы ведём, он её проходил, а я скучал и терпел. Так вот, эту я, естественно, проходить сам тоже не буду. Обзоров и начал прохождений мне вполне достаточно, чтобы понять, что из себя представляет эта игра. Тут такие же глупые, неестественные диалоги, озвучка диалогов, такое же глупое поведение людей и других персонажей. Игра пытается претендовать на реаличтичность вижена, на реалистичность физики, поведения, но при этом во всём видна такая тупизна, просто ужас!!!! Лица людей не похожи на реальные лица, поведение, походка не похожи, диалоги не похожи на реальные. Физика животных, как и внешний вид тоже не естественные. В самом начале увидел, как лошадь бежит по снегу, и это так небрежно сделано, да ещё и физика движения лошади вообще ничего общего с реальностью не имеет, не говоря о физике её взаимодействия с внешним миром, со снегом, на которые она наступает. Кстати, такую же фигню я заметил и в отношении человеческих взаимодействий с предметами и окружающим миром. Вообще ужасно проработано. И это в игре, которая хочет казаться реальностью, фильмом! Короче, жесть. Дальше, сюжет. Скукотища полнейшая. То, что там показывают и то, что приходится делать по сюжету, не вызывает никакого интереса. Приходится через силу это всё делать, потому что надо. В общем... Дальше продолжать не буду.. И так понятно всё, в каком духе дальше речь бы шла. Я не могу похвалить эту игру даже за графику, в отличие от других ребят и обзорщиков.     All I have yo say is most people negatively reviewing this game are just bitter that the critics reviewed it so highly even tho they didn’t like the leaks and some haven’t even the fineshed the game.
    What I believe is this game is a masterpiece and a emotional rollercoaster which I enjoyed so so much. The ending has a deep meaning to it which most people didn’t get. Must play

    I love this game. The graphics, the physics, the story all of them ... wonderfull. I finish about 27 hours, now i enjoy what is see in my soul and some days later i restart the game in new game+ mode.
    I think that more better then my favourite game, the first episode. Evry thing better in this game than the part one.

    A true masterpiece! All low grades represent shallow players, who did not have the sensitivity to simply play the game and understand their proposal. They think characters are their property.
    This is a multi-layer game, where all of these layers have purposes and talk to each other.

We rationalized his actions in the first game and created a hero’s mythology for him because that’s the nature of video games. That hospital scene at the end of Part 1 was an act of pure evil. No matter how you cut it. That was the moment Joel went from lovable fatherThe Last of Us Part 2 is a masterpiece. People keep saying Joel deserved better. Did he really?! Joel was never heroic. We rationalized his actions in the first game and created a hero’s mythology for him because that’s the nature of video games. That hospital scene at the end of Part 1 was an act of pure evil. No matter how you cut it. That was the moment Joel went from lovable father figure willing to do anything to protect his “daughter” and the memory of his biological daughter to a villain. And the fact that Ellie reveals in Part 2 that SHE ACTUALLY WANTED TO DIE, makes it even worse. In video games the quest is usually to “save the world”. In The Last of Us Part 1 we ended up realizing we played as a character who at the end stopped the world from being saved in a selfish act (that we admittedly empathized with because we experienced the heartbreak of Joel losing his daughter and the incredible bond he developed with Ellie). That STILL doesn’t justify what he did. Not only did he murder a slew of innocent people, HE STOPPED THE WORLD FROM BEING SAVED. It turned the entire video game medium on its ears. Brilliantly. And words can’t describe how genius it was for Naughty Dog to give players the “choice” to shoot the doctor or not at the end. I always thought that was ingenious. But man oh man The Last of Part 2 let’s us see just how GENIUS it was. Violence begets violence, karma is cyclical, and no good deed goes unpunished. Whether we “like” it or not Joel had it coming. As does most characters in this **** world of human depravity where THERE ARE NO HEROES. The amount of emotion Naughty Dog was able to illicit from me with The Last of Us Part 2 is some sort of artistic miracle. The key to making Abby’s character work was she was actually the FIRST character to realize the destruction her actions was causing and decided to break the cycle. So by the end of the game I loved Abby’s character and wanted her to find peace just as much as Ellie. The fact that they pulled that off is astonishing. I love her relationship with Owen and the Aquarium sequence was an ingenious set piece that they used to perfection. That being said, they used those moments of serenity against us because the moment they made us have a “boss fight” with Ellie as the villain and forced us to choke her out is one of the most gut-wrenching sequences Ive ever witnessed. In a game of movie. First time in my life I was “scared” to press a button on the controller. I didn’t want any part of it. AND THATS THE POINT. The Last of Us Part 2 is the greatest deconstruction of violence and it’s consequences ever made. In any medium. Period.… Expand

    Este juego está muy influenciado por ideologias nocivas. El salto gráfico con respecto al Remaster del primero tampoco es tan grande. La jugabilidad es parecida al primer juego. La historia tiene muchos puntos flojos.

I applaud Sony for including LGBT characters in their game, the game is M rated and does have mature themes. Just like an R rated movie, you should be at least 17 or 18 to play this game.     Overall Naughty Dog managed to create a "fun" game again. Story was good, but because of the magnificent Storytelling it became great. Because of the Pacing and the repetitive Gameplay I decided to give it an 8.

This is a honest opinion about the game, using my experiencie given with The last of Us (for me, a solid 9.6) and The last of Us 2 (is a 7.4 but the calification is only with entire numbers) The gameplay feels good, the same in the first game but with some improvements (the dash, dodge, jump, new tools and weapons, etc), the ai is good, can be better (sometimes feels so unnatural with reactions in 1 frame, and others the enemies seem to not see you almost in front of them, could be better), the battles and enemies are good with the last problem exposed.
    Now the problem, character development and story, first the Joel's death. Feels so wack, unrealistic (in consideration about the first game): Joel mistrust everyone in the first game, even Ellie, and now he got a window of trust with some random people (even saying his name), and being killed; is so dumb, a stupid decision and a whole hole in the narration. All the plot with the antagonist has a bad execution and low quality doing with morality, could be a lot better, more development could be required (the introduction could be like Assasins creed brotherhood with an assault to Jackson, and knowing better the enemies in the road. This could be more safe than the final product). The final is also dumb, why doing everything you have done to revenge, even leaving your own life behind, to do nothing in front the person who killed your best friend and even a pattern figure (and others like Jesse's death, being a problem with the relation with 2 near of you people Dina and Tommy, basically destroys your life) and get nothing instead? (literally, Ellie is alone in the final) This feels bad, and seems all the story and every action the player done is for nothing. The gameplay is solid and I enjoy the loop: cutscenes, explore, fight, with a few set pieces thrown in there. Graphically this is one of the most impressive games on on PS4, the same goes for sound. The writing and story were the mainstay of part I. In Part II we have these beautiful round characters that were crafted over the course of part I and, largely, we don't do anything with them. Joel, absolutely the best written and most morally complex character is disposed of early. The rest of the game we spend as Ellie hunting Abby and offing a series of her compatriots. When we switch to Abby we're asked to understand and sympathize with this new character and understand why her killing Joel is justified. Her actions are justified but I could not find any empathy or sympathy to afford this character. All in all the characters are all flat. None of them experience any real change. Dina basically stays the same same the entire game. Jessie is interesting and is then unceremoniously shot I'm the face. By the end Ellie's choice to let Abby live is completely illogical. After killing Joel, Jessie, Tommy, and one slice from killing Dina Ellie just lets her go. Revenge is best served cold, and preferably with some nice round characters and some significant character development.… Expand

    This is a clear example of writing by committee.
    All the key political and social points are made to snag the highly political reviewers.
    But the actual quality takes a back seat.
    Which explains the difference between the critic and user reviews.
    Critics get their feeling of moral superiority, actual customers get a bad story.

    I have to admit, I wasn't sure they could ever make a game as good as the first TLOU. Well, I was wrong... I loved every bit of TLOU 2, and I couldn't stop playing until I got to the end. Completed the game in 3 days, enjoying every detail of it. I understand why it is divisive, the story isn't trying to please the player's expectations. Actually it is quite the contrary. Everything is aI have to admit, I wasn't sure they could ever make a game as good as the first TLOU. Well, I was wrong... I loved every bit of TLOU 2, and I couldn't stop playing until I got to the end. Completed the game in 3 days, enjoying every detail of it. I understand why it is divisive, the story isn't trying to please the player's expectations. Actually it is quite the contrary. Everything is a huge mess, characters are as disoriented as we are, they don't know if they're doing the right thing. Ellie is inconsolable and it's heartbreaking. Of course, the game is emotionally heavy ; you find yourself crying, laughing, at tense quite often.

    It isn't perfect though. I was playing on the PS4 Pro and the console is starting to show its weaknesses regarding resolution and details. Sometimes it is blurry and they use this sort of film grain hiding some imperfections. It didn't bother me actually. I liked it, it gave it a special sheen.

    With that being said, the game still looks amazing and it is a real pleasure to explore all the carefully created environments. Grass, leaves, light reflections, cracks on the walls, everything is a delight to look at.
    The music and sound effects are top notch, my expectations were high coming from the first game : here again, they didn't disappoint. Voice acting is where the game shines in my opinion. It feels real, it feels rough.

    Overall, the world feels very believable. Some choices of the writers change deeply the gameplay and it's refreshing. I couldn't tell what they are without revealing key points of the story, which proves how much gameplay and story are intertwined.
    Then I have to say that the game makes a point to be inclusive : everyone is represented. Women, asians, jews, black, you name it. Well, at times, I had the weird impression they were forcing it a bit, which I could not really comprehend. It's like they were on a mission to make videogames more inclusive, and I respect that : it's great news for this industry. But it will take more than one game to do it, and you shouldn't bruteforce the inclusiveness into your game. Otherwise, it could be detrimental of other aspects of your game, which fortunately isn't the case with TLOU 2.    … Expand

    It would be just so much easier if they killed Ellie in beggining, there was NO reason to let her live. They saw the town and how many people where in there, why would they risk an open war?

    I loved playing this part 2 of The last of us! the game was very engaging, the graphics were sublime, and the scenario in my opinion consistent.

    The gameplay happens to be fluid and pleasant, I was totally immersed in the different events taking place in the game ! I really like the fact that the main character is part of the LGBT+ community as well as the little reference located in the games ~

    Worst story for a game ever. So we're supposed to feel sympathy for the Fireflies, whose half baked plan to make a vaccine for a fungus (something we can't do in real life with money and a functioning society backing research) got them all rightfully killed. Bad game. Also they crunched their devs to death forcing them to do what is practically slave labor.

I dont like this games story but You have to apreceate the flashbacks because they share beatiful moments between Joel and Ellie but thats the only reason am giving this game a 5/10 because the story is **** just dont waste 60 bucks on this crap you will have more enjoyment watching walktroughs than playing it oh and the controls on this game feel as clunky as the ones of the first game, you had 7 years Naughty Dog, but you failed miserably to give a well deserving sequel to one of the greatest game of all time if they are gonna do something reboot part II and imagine the nonsense that this game brought never happened make all of the characters interesting have a concrete reason to kill Joel not only because an NPC from the last game **** dies we all thought he was a random wothless peace of **** not the reason Joel dies we dont want lazy ways to kill chracters if you introduce a new character make it a good character but no you expect us to play as the **** that killed Joel for half of the game yeah really clever naughty dog oh and you kill one of the new character (Jessie) so what is the damn point of lntroducing him if hes going to die some hours into the game oh and the worst part they want you to fell bad about Abby all we want is a DLC that is named Abby **** dies 10000000 times that would be one of the greatest DLC of all time or even ignore this game ever happened.
