The story is very bad..People feel sad not because of Joel's death but the whole game is forcing people accept the conception of forgiving. if it's a drama or a movie, it would be better, i am somebody watching the character making their decision. I may not agree but i accept that's their choice. but it's a game. I play the characters. I feel like i was made to do the killing I don't want and to forgive someone i don't want to. People need to understand that fairy tale situations and endings don't happen in a post apocalyptic world thats overrun with multiple forms of infected running around and relentless factions. Naughty Dog took some serious risks with the story narrative and I personally feel they did an incredible job. People will get killed off… Expand

The result is a game created by a man with a narcissistic personality disorder, coupled with authoritarian tendencies with an insular world view who disregards any constructive criticism that is aimed to improve and give feedback to what is "just another video game".

    Any normal and avid movie fan can analyse this story and see the gaping plot holes that exist within the character arcs, the stories narrative, it offers ZERO cohesion from the last game, the narrative ideas and tropes are taken straight from Quentin Tarrantino's works (speaks for the originality of the lead writer). There is no levity or nothing really that the fans have been dying to find out, nothing original from the first game, just a tone deaf piece of work from Neil Druckman who said, and I quote "We don't use the word Fun": a walking simulator with sleepy cutscenes in between tackily placed, repetitive gameplay and artificial game lengtheners resounds with his philosophy.

    This game is not in any way a masterpiece, to characterize it that way would do a disservice to the meaning of the word itself. It is an "Okay" story, with overused ideas, executed in a disappointingly disorganized way.    … Expand

Yes, the visuals and gameplay is solid, what’s expected from Naughty Dog with what they have on their backs (Uncharted franchise) Some parts of the story is solid too, the flashbacks of Ellie and Joel are heartwarming and heartbreaking as well. Now that I got the positive out of the way, the game is overall garbage. How is the developer going to kill a beloved and meaningful character in such a sad and distasteful way? Joel dying part of the story? Okay. But at least make it memorable, poetic, or heroic. Don’t just kill him off by pinning him down and having no hopes of survival. Story plot fail to deliver completely. Imagine you’re gonna go watch a spider man movie or a captain America movie and right from the start they kill them off? That’s exactly what occurred here. Now with that out of the way, okay Joel died now what?     A terrible way to handle a sequel poor history and character development. Forced SJW/LGTB character insertion/development, it felt like a bad Netflix adaptation. Graphics and textures were nice. Controls felt off, bad QA the game had several bugs.

    I found the game very good! and although many say that the gameplay is bad and the story too, I didn't think so. Incredible ambience and even with the non-linear story format is perfectly understandable. The outcome of the story is not for everyone, because, in my opinion, it requires the player to understand very well the message that the game wants to bring.

    Gameplay: It liked it, if you played the first game you instantely feel "at home" playing the 2. Part. And they even improved it. Dodging is a major improvement and makes close combat a lot more agil and rewarding.
    Sound/Music: No need to say anything its just as perfect as in the 1. part.
    Visuals/Graphics: This game really is the most beautiful game on PS4 right now. All the indirect lighting, all the little details everywhere in this world, they really let you feel how much work and love was put into making this game.
    Story: It is controversial but its different and thats what i like about it. Its not the normal boring revenge story its hard, its heartbreaking and thats excactly what it should be and wants to show. Revenge, hate and violence is useless and only creates more revenge,hate and violence. It destroys you, your life and a lot of people around you that you love. I liked that you play the game from both perspective even though a lot of people hate that about the game. But just think about nature documentaries... if you watch a documentary about lions you want the lion to catch and kill the zebra, but if you watch a documentary about zebras you really want that zebra to escape the lions attack and continue living. Its all a matter of perspective and there is not just black or white with that...there are a lot of grey layers inbetween and somehow people kinda forget and ignore that. If you are open minded about what the story want to tell you and really engage with the story you wont be disappointed. I probably felt every emotion playing that game (anger, love, hate, sadness, emptyness, wholesome moments etc.). It really is a rollercoaster, but i loved it.    … Expand

    A truly deep story mixed with probably the best graphics and sound in any video game! The tale in this universe is continued in a controversial manner and to enjoy it, that can only be decided by 1 person yourself. The games story is not an easy one to take in. Its not supposed to be it. Whether you enjoyed the game or strongly disliked it, it manages to do what any truly brilliant gameA truly deep story mixed with probably the best graphics and sound in any video game! The tale in this universe is continued in a controversial manner and to enjoy it, that can only be decided by 1 person yourself. The games story is not an easy one to take in. Its not supposed to be it. Whether you enjoyed the game or strongly disliked it, it manages to do what any truly brilliant game should and that is to leave u thinking and questioning what has happened and the emotions that you have experienced. If you finish the game and you do not feel like your emotions have been put on a rollercoaster, then unfortunately you've probably missed the point or cannot confront the feelings you have experienced. However the choice is never up to you and what happens is the story that naughty dog wanted to tell, and I personally that it was brilliant it has left me thinking about it 24/7. Do not let negative or hateful reviews of the game spoil your experience go into it with a open mind and really just play and experience what is occurring and challenge yourself to understand what is being portrayed. After all we all play games for the experience and especially these story driven games to come out at the end with a new feeling and perspective.

    I'm so proud of naughty dog for what they have achieved in this game and the fact that they were willing to go above and beyond the norms of video games and they have truely paved the way for the future. To me, this game isn't for "SJW LGBT people", it's just for people, fans of the first, people who felt like they knew Ellie and Joel in the first game. This game is a demonstration of how far you could go to gain closure for losing a loved one, and with this it shows how Ellie mourns throughout with use of the guitar and her dreams/flashbacks, she really misses Joel and you can feel that, I wouldn't say it is perfect, but the ending is so poignant because she lost her one connection to Joel, her music. I feel like even with Dina, this game is still about Joel and Ellie, and how important he was to her. Abby was a good addition because we get to see her character fill Joels role for a young Lev, which isn't done too obviously. In the end Ellie breaks the cycle and chooses not to kill Abby meaning she isn't like Abby was, or Joel, she's stronger. To me this game really makes you think and I know that for me, it's console defining… Expand

    The rest is absolutely 10/10... Gameplay, graphics, environment, enemies AI, Level Design, soundtrack and etc..

    Veredict: The Last of US part 2 get's such criticism from the gamer community because it's a time clock bomb that came in a bad time; we know how things work these days, we know how guys react when there's something different from what is called normal in terms of sexual education, we know that any kind of entertainment that have some source of religion approach get's hated & etc..
    And to finish, i doubt that if this game wasn't a sequel, think as a new IP, ppl would LOVE IT.

Amigos este juego es buenísimo y no pueden venir a criticar que Joel muere a batazos de golf por que ese es el mundo que nauty dog nos presenta, un mundo en que los héroes no existen . Con el tema de que "Es el mismo juego que en tlou 1" si es verdad pero eso es the last of us tiene que ser así, o quieren que Elli vaya corriendo a lo call of duty coja una ak 47 y vaya corriendo descargando la en automático que se deslice por el suelo y corra por las paredes por que eso es lo que hemos visto en los últimos años.     I hate to press the hit button but I had to press it.
    I couldn't focus on the character (because I didn't want to be the character)
    and the game was bored.

    Someone might see this game artistic. But I cannot forgive this game at all.

    Easily one of the best games I have ever played. Great graphics, amazing story, great characters and entertaining conflict. Grim and dark but still satisfying. Great follow up to the first one.

    This game is a masterpiece. Everyone is hating without playing it. The story is 10/10. Not all endings are happy endings. In my opinion is one of the best games I've ever played.

    I played 10 hours of the game so far. I understand that some people might not have enjoyed some events in the first couple of hours. But we must understand that just like a book we are not the owners of the characters.

    Gameplay-wise the game is being incredible it's what was expected in my opinion. The crafting is similar to the first game with some improvements. We have the ability to dodge and that is very welcome new weapon upgrades. New enemies and improved enemies with new behaviors. The game allows you to play in different ways, you can just go all forward pew pew Rambo mode.(It's hard but possible) Or you can go full stealth with a new talent tree.

    In general very few bugs so far and very smooth and fun gameplay. (I'm playing in Normal difficulty)
    Visually speaking, I'm playing on a first-generation ps4, not a ps4 pro. And Damn it's pretty, the PlayStation fans are screaming all the time, but The game looks great. The sound is also great, I found myself deeply invested in the environment trying to stealth kill some clickers and the sound definitely helped me into the emersion.

    Story-wise so far so good a bit predictable and expected, nothing new, some cliches here and there, but good fun and interesting, not the best narrative in the world. But definitely OK.

    So far I would give the game an 89 and my seal of approval.
    It's not a game for everyone, but it's definitely a great game. If you are thinking if you should buy it or not. I would say do it.
    Disclaimer: stay away from it if you don't enjoy gore. The game is very graphic. On the other hand, if you enjoy it please use a shotgun at close range    … Expand

    I waited so long for this game and had the absolute best weekend of this year. I could not wait to continue and also took a day off work to have the time to finish it as soon as possible.
    It was compelling, with lovely moments to laugh about. But also haunting, violent and heartbreakingly honest to what a human being ist capable of. This game shows two women, who are in fact no heroes. They experienced different, but similar losses in their lifes and are captivated in revenge and hate. But there is always someone who is worth fighting for. Sometimes its their own soul. So the motto of the fireflies if a pretty good way to describe a bit of this game. Its not just a game full of loss and hate, but also a silverlining. Please don't let the haters win with their bad ratings. Just play the game for yourself. It is worth every penny.

    Outstanding. I'd urge any fans of the original to play this game.

    I don't know why people are saying there is meaningless 'sjw' or 'politics' in the game. This story was outstanding. Naughty Dog has done it again. I'm firmly convinced a lot of the hate on here is due to people buying a completely different game.
