    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Una decepción el juego y el final muy forzado. Matar a Joel y reemplazarlo por personajes vacíos, aburridos y sin desarrollo fue una de las peores cosas que hicieron.
    Jesse: un personaje del que sabemos muy poco y que tenía la oportunidad de convertirse en un muy buen coprotagonista. Lo usaron para embarazar a Dina y se deshicieron de él.
    Dina: un personaje vacío, aburrido y sin desarrollo. Fue un obstáculo durante todo el juego, el peor personaje para reemplazar a Joel.
    Tommy: era el mejor para reemplazar a Joel, era hábil y el público lo quería. Lo terminaron dejando casi tuerto y rengo, desperdiciando casi todo el personaje. Lo mejor que se puede hacer ahora es sacar un DLC explicando su pasado.
    Ellie: sin Joel no es nada, incluso la llegué a odiar durante el transcurso del juego. Sus expresiones faciales son horribles, Druckmann sí que se esforzó para hacer personajes feos. Como dijo Tommy, una vez que ella tiene su vida resuelta se olvida completamente de Joel y decide no matar a Abby, aunque eso signifique haber matado a cientos de personas y haber arruinado su vida por nada.
    Joel: el personaje más querido y asesinado a los 30 minutos del juego. Parece que los guionistas se olvidaron del comportamiento de Joel en el primer juego, haciendo que se vea como un padre adoptivo autista y llegue a confiar en cualquier extraño que se encuentre.
    Abby: el juego trata de hacer que simpatices con ella haciendo que la controles durante la mitad del juego, pero no funciona ya que MATÓ AL PERSONAJE MÁS QUERIDO.

    Historia: es simplemente asquerosa, tiran a la basura el comportamiento predeterminado de los personajes del primer juego y reemplazan a Joel con personajes aburridos y/o que terminan muriendo.
    Durante el trayecto que hace Ellie y Dina tratan de desarrollar la relación entre ellas como hicieron en el primer juego con la relación entre Ellie y Joel, pero acá simplemente no funciona debido a que las situaciones son muy distintas. Al comienzo de la primer entrega, Joel veía a Ellie como un producto más que tenía que entregar, pero a medida que avanza el tiempo su relación llega a un punto en el que Joel arriesga el destino de la humanidad para salvar la vida de Ellie. En la segunda entrega Dina y Ellie eran amigas desde hace años, por lo que las cosas que se pueden contar la una a la otra son muy pocas, haciendo que nos enteremos muy poco de sus vidas y que el desarrollo de Dina como personaje sea bastante limitado.
    Los personajes deberían haber muerto varias veces... y no, no estoy contando las caídas y esas cosas, sino los combates. En el anteúltimo combate con Abby todos menos Ellie deberían haber muerto, Dina tenía una flecha atravesándole el pulmón y Tommy tenía un balazo en la cabeza, lo normal es que hubieran muerto desangrados debido a la incapacidad de Ellie de salvarlos ya que tenía un brazo quebrado y estaba en medio de una zona de guerra. Además, no tiene sentido que Abby les haya perdonado la vida después de que mataran a todos sus amigos. Ellie debería haber muerto después de que una rama le perforara el estómago y le hayan arrancado los dedos, pero no solo no murió desangrada y viajó durante horas a su casa, sino que incluso logró matar a decenas de guardias y derrotar a Abby. Como dije antes, a pesar de que haya arruinado su vida para buscar a Abby y que haya matado a 300 personas para vengar a Joe, decidió no matarla. La verdad es que esto lo comprendo, cuando se filtró la historia los guionistas tuvieron que posponer la salida del juego para desarrollar este final improvisado ya que a la gente no le gustó enterarse que Ellie iba a ser el jefe final.
    Sinceramente creo que los guionistas no sabían cómo mostrarnos cómo era la vida de Joel y Ellie después de la primera entrega (lo que todos queríamos), entonces decidieron contarlo con flashbacks (la mejor parte del juego) y usar todo el resto de la historia como relleno para no presentar un juego con una duración de 1 hora. Es decepcionante la falta de imaginación de los guionistas.
    Le doy un 2 y no un 0 por los gráficos, los efectos sonoros y porque la jugabilidad es mejor que la del 1.    … Expand

But in the game, there is just an incredible glut of tolerance. I didn't like the game. For at least half of the game, your girlfriend Dina (also terribly annoying) shows lesbian tendencies every twenty minutes and she makes a pass at you. This is incredibly infuriating. About the plot, too, everything is very so-so. Except for Joel's death, nothing really cool or exciting happened. The plot is based on revenge. You go, go, go to the final, then just get revenge. New characters, too, no, just uninteresting and all. Compared to what the characters were in the first part, these are not interesting. From the pros, only the graphics, atmosphere and cool semi-open world. The game is crap, for me personally. The first part is much better. As a stub in the form of the second part, received the same ratings as the first-a riddle. Maybe if the first part didn't exist, this part would be cool. But, when there is a masterpiece of the first part, it is, a stub for fans and a chic game for tolerant gays, lesbians.… Expand

    The leaks did not do the game justice it is a beautifully crafted game with a heat breaking story from many perspectives . GAMEPLAY - TLOU2's gameplay is AMAZING, In every encounter with the Scars, Wolves, or Infected your choices truly matter as your resources are very minimal encouraging players to really play smart. Players who explore are rewarded greatly with pieces of story, or items that come in handy. GRAPHICS - The graphics in this game are probably the best the PlayStation has to offer in terms of realism. STORY - In this game we follow the journey of two different protagonists Abby and Ellie both in their own path of revenge. In the first hour or so of the game we watch as Abby brutally tortures and kills Joel as Ellie watches, and the story seems to have established Abby as the antagonist. The game constantly has you play as Abby in hopes of you sympathizing for her by seeing her side of the story but ultimately fails. The game's final mission has you hunting Abby after receiving a lead that she may be in Santa Barbara, but before she leaves she is given an ultimatum to move on and live with her new life or to dwell in the past, and ends with Ellie's own self-destruction, gaining nothing and losing everything she ever had. OVERALL- This game was heartbreaking to play not because it was bad but because of amazing it could've been and how it played out. And when I finally reached the ending of the game it didn't feel deserved, it didn't feel right. This is my first time writing a review on a game, thank you to anyone who read it!… Expand

One of best animations in all time, and the best facial expressions ever. Great desing levels, and a big upgrade in the AI. Im in the middle with this game, I love the first half, graphics are amazing, I enjoyed the combat and the environment was beautifully designed, old abandoned museums, aquariums, parks, arcades, and churches. I found myself stopping and stairing at the beauty in every detail I loved the flashbacks with ellie and her gameplay, however this took a real bad turn at the halfway point. WHY did we have to play as abby for half the game, i get that they wanted us to see her side of things and to sympathize with her but i just found myself hating every moment with her, and I think its very misleading to show only ellie in all the trailers like shes the the person you play as and them make us play abby, also her model was very awkward looking she didn't look female or even normal, she had bigger biceps then the men very disappointed with the second half and the story.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I wanted to like this game, man, I really did. The first Last of Us was one of my favorite games of all time. I went into this optimistic that the haters would be proven wrong and this would be one of the best games of 2020, and for the first few hours, it was! The game looked great, we got some great bonding between Joel and Ellie, and the gameplay was interesting and fun. But then Joel got killed off. I'm not upset that Joel got killed off, he did some horrible things, but killing him off within the first two hours of the sequel to a game which got me completely invested in him emotionally is just not the right way to do it. They should've introduced the character that kills him off first, given us her backstory, and THEN killed Joel off. Instead, they did it in reverse. You end up playing as the killer for about 7 hours, and most of it feels like filler. The constant flashbacks during this arc ruin the pacing and make for a confusing and needlessly long arc with little to no big reveals save 1 or 2 that I won't spoil. Then we get to the ending where Ellie and the new character's arcs converge. Ellie fights with the new character, gets her fingers bit off, but ends up letting her go, even after she killed Joel and some other characters dear to Ellie. This makes absolutely no sense considering the remainder of Ellie's arc after Joel's death is focused around killing innocent people because Joel's death made Ellie lose her sanity so she just starts killing everyone around her. And then she lets the person who made her lose her sanity go? I'm sorry, but regardless of the message you're trying to tell, that's just bad writing. The worst part about this is that there are some good parts in here, it's not all bad. The plot just comes across as a misery simulator (as some people have been saying) with absolutely no payoff, leading to an unsatisfying ending with the antagonist getting what they wanted with absolutely nothing for Ellie in return. The game ends with Ellie at home, alone and depressed because she has no one left. There's so much more I could talk about, but the story is just a mess. Avoid this game. 4/10… Expand

    The 1st Last of Us only had one exceptional thing, which was a compelling story. Other elements were not revolutionizing but done correctly. The 2nd iteration lost the only thing the franchise had (the story) . Now I think this is comparable to GoT ending i.e horrible

And when the story is poorly written, the characters do not evoke emotions, and the entire narrative of the game pushes you some political and cultural beliefs — you begin to notice all the disadvantages of the game.
    No need to lie and say that the graphics in the game went to some new level, this is the same console level that we could see in the Uncharted. No need to lie about the "new innovative gameplay" —it's still mediocre and dull. A game without a good story and characters turned into a disgusting fake. And the storyline with the murder of the protagonist of the last part at the very beginning is the height of stupidity and an attempt to cause unnecessary emotions.

The biggest problem I have with the game is the story of the game. First with Joel's death happening after only the first 2 hours of the game by a character you play with through the game along side ellie. Everytime I played with abbie it makes me feel like turning off the game and never playing this game again. The story for this game is trash. If I had a chance for a refund I would definitely get one and not support naughtydog and specially neil druckman for making disasterpeice of a game. Dont buy this game… Expand

Never mind the SJW Abby who is built with the face of a 9 yr old in a 35 yr old mans body, the plot was garbage. Killing off the main character (Joel) in a way that doesn't fit his character, then playing as his killer is stupidity at its finest. The 1st game was great, it built up Ellie and Joel into two amazing gaming characters. The sequel then comes in and takes a dump on the 1st game, by taking Ellie and making her into something she isnt then taking Joel and killing him in the worst way possible. Idk if know where to begin with the ending, i mean wtf is that? Abby kills Joel, then Ellie decides to let her live? Why? There is no good reason.

    In short this game reminds me of what D&D did to the last season of Game of Thrones, except this was much worse. Side note i am glad i saw the leaks that spared me $60 f=of this crap.    … Expand

    To preface this review, I would like to say I am sad to see that the review bombing has gotten out of control on both sides. 10/10s and 0/10s are not warranted for this game. It is a terrific game with a very subpar story. It would benefit us all to be more honest and not be tribalistic for a game that was (and is to some) fun to play.

    GRAPHICS: 8/10 Terrific for a console exclusive, but ND have been breaking ground in this area for years now and have the Play Station rendering system down to a T at this point. Would love to see it run on a PC but I doubt that is possible.
    VOICE ACTING: 6/10 Bland at times but that may be just because of the writing, but amazing execution otherwise.
    OTHER AUDIO: 7/10 Amazing but not groundbreaking in 2020.
    GAMEPLAY: 2/10 Outdated w/ many ~2013 style QTE sequences and simplistic inventory system that did not innovate much from the previous installment. Only 2 or so new enemies throughout the whole game w/ 1 being very similar to the bloaters from the first game that are coincidentally also easier to kill but harder to dodge. In short, combat and exploration have barely changed.

    STORY: 1/10 Subpar at best. Rather than feeling like you are playing as the characters this time around, it feels more like you are just along for the ride and there is high disconnect with the characters that you play as this time around. The choices seem wild, illogical, uncanny and otherwise difficult to grasp. You will be walking towards objectives in the game at times but you may question yourself the entire time and wonder "but why?". Unlike the first game, the goals and motivations for each character is confusing and somewhat disconnected with reality.

    Docking 2 points from the average as I expect much better value from a story based game.    … Expand

    If you want shallow thematics, non immersive 30 hours movie (oops, game), support agenda taking over gameplay, this is your game. This is SO &@#*!#*!&@¨# frustating after the game 1, 7 YEARS FOR THIS AMOUNT OF BUGS. Also pretty sure Neil paid all these influencers, the discrepancy is between reviews is so big.

    Kinda disappointed with the sequel. The gameplay is nothing to write home about and the story is absolutely dissapointing. it tries to hard to be 'dark' and i cannot understand the developer decision to add the Abby character to this game. the only good thing i can say is good is the graphics.

    Overall 2/10

Eu diria que a Gameplay é 9,5, nunca gostei muito da mira dos personagens, possivelmente seja proposital, mas poderia ser um pouco melhor, outro ponto que me incomodou são que mesmo completamente parado em um canto de uma sala, os estaladores insistem em me perceber, o que não faz muito sentido, mas OK. Graficamente o jogo é lindo, não há o que comentar, minha nota neste quesito é 10. História, minha nota é 4. Porque? porque eu acho que a maneira que o Joel morre no game é completamente desnecessária e um tanto quanto desrespeitosa com o personagem que jogamos 99% do tempo no primeiro jogo. O inicio do game é chato com todo o lance juvenil da Ellie com a Dina, nada contra, só achei que ficou muito "Icarly" para um game pesado como este e não agregou em nada na historia, pelo menos pelo rumo que ela tomou em termos de narrativa. Tem muita gente dando notas muito baixas do game, não sei o porque, mas não é GOTY, e muito menos melhor que o primeiro. A Naughty Dog tinha a faca e o queijo na mão pra trazer uma obra prima como Uncharted 4 com um puta fan-service, mas optaram por um caminho ridículo que estragou o fechamento do game.… Expand

Then you can't kill her and the game cuts with ellie and the guitar cause she can't play Joel's song and Abby gets to live! This whole game from start to finish is bad save your money and this all this is coming from someone who has put at least 5000+ hours into tlou 1 I want my money back… Expand

    Well, where to even begin... I guess, I will start with this idea - I totally understand why people are hating this game (besides all LGBT, transgender and other political nonsense). They hate it because this game is dark. First game was dark in atmosphere, but was full of jokes, funny and sweet moments and overall message of the game was bright. Second game is much different. This game has practically zero light in its story and it is full of darkness, which is shown in the very end the best way possible. I honestly believe, that everyone should play this game just to experience this darkness and to see how they react to it. I think, that people, who say that the plot here is 1/10 are either shallow people who have zero understanding of what darkness is or people who are so in love with the first game, that they cannot forgive NaughtyDog for making second one as different as possible. I do not respect the choice of NaughtyDog to push transgenderism and LGBT policies (my only issue with LGBT was the word "Bigot" in the very beginning of the game, because this word is overused), but it is crucial to say, that these ideas were as little represented as possible and have no influence on the story whatsoever.

    To sum up, I cannot say if the Last of Us part II is better or worse than its predecesor, simply because it is a sincere original dark story about loss, guilt, redemption and consequences of ones action. This game is a must to play and I am grateful to NaughtyDog that they made this sequel. It made me think about a lot of things.    … Expand

    A joke compared to the first game that everybody loved. Pacing is completly off in this game and follows the wrong character in the completly wrong order and forces you to play through a garbage character a their backstory for 40% of the entire game where no one wanted to play or were invested in any way. Dont even get me started on the ending literally the most pointless thing ever.

    Absolutely fantastic gameplay. Beautiful graphics. Never a dull moment. It really shows how you need to see both sides of the story to come to a conclusion.

    I had to leave this review after witnessing THAT scene 2 hours into the game, absolutely atrocious indefensible writing and I'm not one for conspiracies but I'm pretty sure most of the positive critic reviews are paid off, must be.

Incluso a algunos se les nota ya que son anti-políticamente correctos y de golpe para este juego se vuelven diferentes.

    Increíble como cuando un juego es un muy mal producto, los desarrolladores hacen de todo para censurar en vez de reconocer lo mal que hicieron y pedir disculpas.

    I have hit the 'moment' early in the game which is angering a lot of people and I have been told that this isn't even the worst part of the game.

All trailers and gameplay released gave everyone the impression this was gonna be an Ellie focused game, with Joel at her side. Instead we got a basic revenge story. Worst of all is that pretty much half of the game isn't even focused on Ellie, but Abby??? She introduces herself like we should all immediately be able to tell who she is Such a shame, visually it looks gorgeous and it probably would have been a decent standalone game. Joel dies with the least amount of build up or even respect - literally spitting on him, was that really necessary Neil? - and the way the story keeps reminding us of the consequences of killing and revenge and then ending the game with Ellie losing everything but somehow Abby gets to walk away??? It seems that Neil and his team have read a dictionary that swapped the words deep with misery. Ellie literally loses all things precious to her which is supposed to be this deep message of revenge and brutally killing leads to nothing but more of the same but fails to deliver since Abby somehow seems to deserve a break. DISAPPOINTMENT… Expand

    Puede que mi opinión sea poco común ya que para mí la jugabilidad y historia del juego es grandiosa,los personajes bien desarrollados,obviamente los acontecimientos entre las primeras horas de juego son algo que no se esperaba ,pero es una historia fuerte en la que naughty dog dejo en claro la cruda realidad que puede pasar.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
