    If this was not a story driven game, it would be 10/10. The graphics, fluid animation, gameplay, music was incredible and what you come to expect from a Naughty Dog game. Howwever, given that this game is emphasized on story, it is an absolute disgrace. They should have ended it on Last of Us 1 and just done a new one with totally new and unrelated characters.

    I loved the first Last of Us game and was excited for this one, The gameplay and graphics are actually really good, but the main point of a game like this is the story. This felt like the biggest slap on the face i've ever experienced. Do not listen to the critic reviews as they were not allowed to talk about the entire second half of the game.     They killed Joel, okey, it must be something great, cause they killed main character, beloved character. Why did they kill him? Because he killed doctor who could save world, but he wanted killed Elly... and if we remember end of the 1 part, she didn’t ask her about saving the world, ok she was little girl, Joel big man and did this for her.

    Ebby. I didn’t sympathized with her, she is ugly, she could not choose between love and war. What was her motivation to kill tommy, Joel( Joel ,ok, he killed her father, but her father without sin.) Tommy killed her boyfriend? They weren’t in relationships, so... Why did she attach to scars? She murdered them. They saved her life, hmm... I hate this character, because she killed Joel, fu.. Joel.

I just played it for myself and boy I tell you it was disappointing. First off, people like me that hate the game don’t hate it because Joel died, it’s how he died, he died like a side character. It was a failure, I don’t mind seeing Joel die, as long as it’s done properly and that’s not it. It was stupid, like the first game didn’t happen, and I hate how they make you play as Abby afterwards like what????     This game is like enduring an entire plate of unlikeable vegetables, only to find out that the dessert is even more unappealing vegetables. If you adored the almost father-daughter relationship between Joel and Ellie in TLOU 1, you WON'T like this game.     Is this supposed to be 'edgy'? Subverting our expectations? Deconstructing established, likable characters? Shock value?

    I honestly advise that if you have any depression and anxiety disorders, do not play this game. (or at least discuss it with your health professional)

    The story is bleak. The gore is ubiquitous. It has unlikable characters. The story is like some sort of snuff film, filled with revenge porn and a gratuitous sex scene. And it's got plot holes, much like a golf course has holes.

    The graphics were pleasing, 8/10.
    The story wasn't. -7/10

The Last of Us part 1 was a masterpiece of a game, it had clunky gameplay at times but it was a beautiful game set in an interesting and compelling world that pulled you in both violently and subtly, it was a true work of art. Unfortunately everything we loved about the first game was thrown away for cheap shocks and poor writing in the sequel. Everybody in the game is either an idiot or an unloveable a-hole leaving you almost nobody left to care about. They completely disregard how characters they've developed characters and how they act in order to force the plot to go where they wanted it to go. It feels like they wrote who they want to kill and how they want it to end and then went eh we'll figure it out at some point and then just forced the plot down a railroad to disappointment. They to be quite honest just spit in your face and the characters we've grown to love faces to tell this really cliche revenge story that has been told a hundred times and a hundred times better than it is told in this game. The game is paced rather poorly and you are bored for at least the first 2 hours if not the first half of the game entirely as it just crawls along like your grandfather driving on the freeway. It then forces you to play as a character you have no desire to play as and no interest to play as trying to humanize someone they've already made you hate. The graphics look fantastic and the voice acting is amazing but those are really the only good things about the game, the gameplay despite seven years hasn't really been innovated at all and remains the same thing we've had for years and the story is written so poorly that all the pretty graphics cant cover it up and even if the voices are great when the material is garbage you cant really get excited for it. Overall this game is sadly an insult to fans and itself and leaves you with only anger and disappointment as you wish you never played it and could take back the time stolen from you by this pointless slog through the sewer known as The Last of Us Part 2.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Visually The Last Of Us Part II is simply stunning; I cannot deny it is one of the best looking games to my knowledge. Sadly the game is let down by some truly dreadful storytelling. The characters are flat, po-faced and have no discernible qualities. Both Ellie and Dina blur into each other like they're the same character. The gameplay is pretty fantastic when the player is given the freedom to roam and explore the world, but the majority of the game is watching cutscene after cutscene, or forced to walk slowly through a setting in a bid to mask loading times, not to mention the tedious mini-games, like playing fetch with a dog. As someone who often skips boring story in games, I was penealised by having to watch an equally dull and painfully long loading screen. The total playtime of this game is around 20 hours; less than 8 of that was actual gameplay, and I wasn't dawdling either.

    While the gameplay was decent, I had to find ways to make it more entertaining, such as changing the intended difficulty from Moderate to Hard, I refused to use Listen Mode, and I avoided upgrading weapons or any of my skill tree. I consider myself to be a gamer with average skill. I should commend Naughty Dog for making this game accessible, but I firmly believe that there needs to be challenge and reward, fine-tuned by the developers. It shouldn't really be up to me to set my own challenge, especially when the intended setting is way too easy.

    The worst thing about this game is not having a central protagonist. Halfway through the game we're expected to play as the antagonist, where it is expected that we sympathise with their position. In two instances you play as each character where you are forced to beat the living daylights out of the other. The violence between both characters by the end feels somewhat comical, like something out of a comedy sketch show, combined with the brutality of the French torture horror film Martyrs. With no clear hero or villain in this game, I was left feeling completely cold for every character in it. The original game was criticised for forcing the player to have Joel kill innocent doctors in a bid to save Ellie, but in that instance it felt arguably justified. Here, Naughty Dog obligate the player to simply help the story along with no control over the outcome, and expect the player to side with both characters. I believe this to be a near impossible task. Pressing buttons to repeatedly beat the character you spent an entire game trying to protect is why this game ultimately fails.

    Finally I should add; I applaud any developer for having two gay leading characters, as well as a character who is identified as trans, but not when the story is at best mediocre, and at worst completely and utterly infuriating.

    Videogames as a medium are still in its infancy, but the way they tell interactive stories is unique to any other established medium. When gaming tries to be a TV show or a film, as shown in The Last of Us Part II, it ultimately fails at what its best at. For truly unique and original storytelling in gaming, look to games such as Dark Souls or Journey. Much like David Cage's games, Naughty Dog seem like a developer who are almost embarrassed to be considered a videogaming company. Even if this were a TV show or a film which it clearly wants to be, it wouldn't be a very good one either. What a failure of a game, and I'm disappointed that I paid full price to learn this.    … Expand

Персонажи не имеют харизмы, главный сюжетный поворт (смерть джоэла) - говнище, нифига не тронуло. Элли тупая как сапог - фигню делает просто вот на ровном месте. И игра старается всеми диалогами показать что элли злодей и всех крамсает просто так и вообще во всём виновата... тут не серая мораль, тут просто ГГ обвиняют во всех бедах.

    The Last of us is my favourite game of all time, and I really wanted this to be better but it had a very high bar to pass, as much as I wanted it to it really didn't. I think it started off really well even with the one story bit everyone's going crazy about and I wouldn't blame them in a lot of ways but its so sad that everyone's giving this game terrible scores because it really doesn'tThe Last of us is my favourite game of all time, and I really wanted this to be better but it had a very high bar to pass, as much as I wanted it to it really didn't. I think it started off really well even with the one story bit everyone's going crazy about and I wouldn't blame them in a lot of ways but its so sad that everyone's giving this game terrible scores because it really doesn't deserve them and if you're considering buying this game but are unsure because of all the bad press then just buy it cause its still a top notch game.
    All gameplay has been improved and there are (in my opinion) better puzzles and much less of them, there is more focus put on exploration this time around, a change I am really happy with. The game constantly makes you feel lost when your actually always going the right way in some sense. If you loved the gameplay from the last of us then you will love the game play in part 2.
    I won't mention the story as very much to stay away from spoilers but I was slightly disappointed because I expected more, but that does not mean by any stretch of the imagination that this game has a bad story. I still found myself very immersed and liking a lot of the new characters (not as much as the old ones but good characters none the less). There are some cringe moments I can't help but mention but the are few and far between.
    Overall I really love this game and think everyone should play it, ignore all the bs reviews from all the sad c**ts that think this is a bad game because it didn't go the way that they wanted, 90% of them probably didn't even finish it so they have no right to put reviews up.    … Expand

I believe that some public will enjoy, but for me, its like the got final season, just using ways to impact without considering a lot of thing from the first game (Joel character totally destroyed).     Despite 4 points out of 10, I’m not sure if I still have any positive emotions after this game. It is unfortunate that the titanic work of artists, designers and other people responsible for the technical part and gameplay crashed into a strange vision of Neil Druckmann regarding the plot and lore.

    The game have beautiful graphic, but the plot is terrible. In a few years the graphics will no longer make such a big impression and the main factor that would cause a return to the game would be the plot, but the plot is terrible so no one will play it again

I stayed away from reading the leaks because I had hope.I could not contemplate how they could destroy a game with such a good story. I was wrong. I was so wrong. It is not the fact that Joel died, I accepted that at first. He should have been killed in a more personal way and the audience should have gotten to be with him the whole time.     Perhaps the average ratings are unter 4 because when you open the Page with mobile phone you only see 1 to 4. Could be that some people are not aware that you can give 10points. I like the game! Very good graphics and gameplay!

    I'd like to say its a true journey of duality, as life, there's no wrong at vision of each side and yet, both are deliberately wrong in some way. You will have a sweet bit at some moments and others not so sweet, but in the end it's all about the development through the journey. just like life, you try to get the best of you and sometimes you misjudge actions, choices, people.
    This is a GREAT closure for the history of Joel and Ellie, individually and both together. Not the one I wanted after all those years waiting, but the one I really should get. The ending that I believe is possible and true to the nature of the game world.    … Expand

    Long story short, bad mistake, the cut scenes are way too long, the story is broken, the major event early on, ruined the rest of the game

    Gameplay is way better than in TLOU 1, graphics and detail too. I mean, everyone who played it will say the same. I wont go further into it as it is kind of obvious just looking at 10 minutes of gameplay.

    TL:DR: Any claim, that says, that the "feminism" in this game killed is, ist completely wrong. This game is completely different than TLOU 1, a very bad continuation of this legendary game imo. What they did to Joels Character is really stupid as he acts completely different than in Part 1. As for Ellie, I liked her developement, which is the only good think about the story. (Except the ending, which again makes no sense). For people who are looking for a new Game with great gameplay, detail und graphic I definitely recommend it. However, if you come from TLOU 1 and expected something similar good storywise you will get disappointed big time, just like me.

    I kind of hate to say it but this game disappoints me and surprises me so much, i dont have any words for it. For starters, Joel died way to early. For people who wanted to see more Joel and Ellie action this will come as a big disappointment. Not only did it not make any sense in the beginning, but it was way too early. Next big nogo: They forced you to play as Abby, the killer of Joel. I mean, its kinda ok to do but then you also have to trying to kill Ellie with her. This is the biggest disappointment in this game ... As far as character development goes: The die way to fast to build up any relationship with them. They just feel blant with no depth in them. I liked Levs story though, that one was really ok. The rest was just plain boring.
    Abby just feels like a unloveable person to me. I could not build up any relationship with her like I did with Ellie and Joel. She acts and looks like another npc within the world of TLOU who is not worth talking about. I know they want to progress the story with her in the upcoming titels, which I am not a fan of.

    The Ending is really inconsistent. Why did we take the long path of revenge, killed dozents of innocent people to only let the person live, that killed Joel, Jesse and shot Tommy? Everything that was build up in the story for nothing, literally. The only reason that they let Abby live, is that they want to continue the story with Lev and Abby. I have no problem if they do it, but dont call it The Last of us as it as nothing to do with it. Back to the story: In the end we see Ellie retruning to the house, see her playing with a guitar which see can play proberly because of the two fingers missing and after that going away with the guitar in the camera. It feels like a goodbye ellie ending for me. We will probably see more from her, but she wont be the focus on the series anymore. My guess is that we join her journey on returning to jackson or something along the lines, maybe in a dlc.

    The game has a really poor story, but good graphics, details and gameplay. You can feel the love put into this game from the devs. However, I cant say the same about the writers. For me the game completely destoryed both Ellie and Joel just to push a new char into their story, Abby. They try to once again revolutionize the gaming industrie but failed hard. For me it only gets 6/10 even if I want to give it even more. Biggest disappointment of this year yet.    … Expand

It starts with one of the most divisive choice which is killing an iconic character in a **** way imaginable. I was angry and frustrated with the game at that point with this decision. Nevertheless I continued to play game and character are just dying all around you and it got me more angry with this decision. Then i played another side with so much hate that i was constantly killing her intentionally to quench my thirst of anger. I continued on and same happens here characters are just dying. Then something clicked, its not the **** deaths that is happening, its the **** world that characters are living in. Every character either loving or hateful are living in this world where most of the humans know only one emotion, HATE. But there are moments in the game that tells us Love exists in this world. Now the most important part, Naughty Dog showed one thing if someone dies you love, you want revenge no matter the cost. And that's where ending sucked for everyone. It went from 6 or 7 to 0 for most people for the ending because they didn't get what they wanted for 25 hours.
    And I would like to congratulate ND for showing what hate means in real world. They showed us that people want revenge no matter the cost. I watched a lot of streams, every people was hating ABBY so much in first minute as we play her. They were no ready to see what she is. That blind hate killed everything for everyone. They just want to kill Abby no matter if she also lost her dad, friends, lover. At the end when she spared Dina, Ellie and don't want to fight because she has only one thing worth living, Lev. Joel killed Abby's dad and Ellie killed everyone Abby cared for. Now if we can forgive or try to forgive what Joel did, why cant Ellie do the same for Abby.
    This game is all about story telling like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter which is made more interactive by adding outstanding visuals, audio, animation, game play and acting.
    Don't get me wrong game has pacing issues because its longer and semi open world environment. Sometimes, it drags out a little bit. But at the end, if your anger for killing Joel has not died this was not for you.
    If you want me to rate the game on game parts, they are as follows
    1) Story: Pacing issues but liking or hating the overall story depends on your thinking about the term HATE.
    2) Visuals/Audio- Best Visuals on PS4 including animation and very solid sound and audio designs.
    3) Acting: Best Actors on game industry are in this game, Troy Baker, Ashley and Laura Bailey. There are no weakness on the acting aspects of the game.
    4) Characters: All of them are interesting and I would say at least try to give them a chance without hate.
    Last but not least, The Last of Us part 2 is my masterpiece in gaming. I welcome all the hate from other users and other users that going to hate them, because you know what it will continue and this is the **** world i live in.

    If you are like me, you played The Last of Us Part 1 way back during it's release on the PS3. The game had stunning graphics, great sound, good gameplay, but the things that made it one of the best games on the platform was the beauty of the level designs and above that the magnificent storyline involving two of main characters with their struggle to survive    Oh boy... Where to begin...

    If you are like me, you played The Last of Us Part 1 way back during it's release on the PS3. The game had stunning graphics, great sound, good gameplay, but the things that made it one of the best games on the platform was the beauty of the level designs and above that the magnificent storyline involving two of main characters with their struggle to survive and make sense of the world. That recipe landed it the game of the year back then on the PS3 and then again on the PS4 when it was released as a remastered version which I also bought. I had two TLOU1 copies total spanning two systems. That was just how good it was.

    Fast forward to today and to Part 2 of this iconic game. Let's start with what it got right from the recipe of the old game.

    GRAPHICS and Level Design: Like the first, Part 2 continues on stunning displays of the environment. No complaints there.
    SOUND: Again, it is on par with the first.
    GAMEPLAY: This is for the most part on par again with the first with a few additions to make exploring more realistic thus giving it a slight edge.

    Sadly, from here on out it is downhill. Way downhill...

    STORYLINE: I enjoyed the game for about 2 hours into it. Then IT happens. Death is understandable in a game with an apocalyptic setting. It can be sad but still illicit a positive experience to the player. Flashback to FF7 when Aerith meets the grim reaper with an 8 ft blade. It was traumatic yet it didn't leave a horribly bad aftertaste by the end of the game. In TLOU2 though, it felt unnecessarily rushed. Like someone couldn't wait to get rid of one of the characters. Then to make matters worse, you have to play as the character who ended such a beloved one from the 1st game. The theme of revenge is done relatively like any other game or movie before, and it doesn't really make the player feel much excitement to see what happens next. It starts becoming boring and predictable. At least until the end where they throw you another curve ball to ruin yet another character from the 1st game. You're left with a sense of what was the point of all of this? In the 1st game, you had a clear goal. The twists and turns to reach it all fit together nicely, until the end where they also throw you a curve ball to the story. But unlike the 1st where there was a purpose to the actions that led to the end, in Part 2 the player is left with a strong feeling to scream "WTF was the point of all this!?". The story is severely flawed. The ending leaves you with nothing, and worse it tarnishes the legacy and choices made by the end of the 1st game.

    All in all, The Last of Us 2 is only worth playing if you're into good graphics and gameplay mechanics. Those who want a kickass story with memorable characters will be better served not playing story mode at all. Hopefully they will release a Multiplayer for the game, because that will be the only thing worth playing in this sorry excuse for a sequel to such an iconic game of years ago. Since this game relies heavily on the storyline aspect due to the lack of a multiplayer option, I cannot give it a good score. The story isn't any good. That alone is more than enough to overshadow any of the positives the game has.    … Expand

Me vas a decir que no mata a Abby al final porque "la venganza nunca es buena", siendo que mató a medio universo para llegar hasta ella? dentro de ese mundo, es ilógico e imposible.
