    To be honest, I was so excited to buy the game on June 19. I woke up in the early morning, went to best buy, and bought the game. Unfortunately, as I started playing (about 7h in), I don't know what to say. I mean, is this even the last of us? Where is the Ellie character that we all loved and liked from the original game. Where is Joel, are you seriously not going to give enough credit inTo be honest, I was so excited to buy the game on June 19. I woke up in the early morning, went to best buy, and bought the game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Talking in general, this game have revolutionary settings of accessibility, an amazing visual aspect and great work. BUT, the story is so frustrating, starting with Joel, the kill that it's so close to the very first star of the game, I didnt have thougths about Abby till she appear. How can we be motivated by the people that have killed HER "FATHER". i was only looking for some rougth moments but instead of that i had a very bad feeling in my heart that Joel has died by some **** girl that i didnt know. The script has been SO oppressed, the gameplay was so empty, same as TLOU1; the world does not move with ellie, and it could have been wonderful if he had died at the end of the game, introducing Ellie like the avenger of Joel in a search for perseverance in his girlfriend. Instead of a very gorgeous game we have some really good game, enjoyable, and very good looking. Appreciating all the work this game has, we can conclude that it could have been much better than it is, if it had not wanted to be a breakthrough without force, pretending to be better than its predecessor, highly recommended but it could have been much better.… Expand

    Very disappointed with the story and leadership behind this game. They chose the wrong advisors and bet on the wrong audience for this title and I fear it has caused irreversible damage to this company.

Очень большие локации только с 4-5 противниками, тупой и слепой NPS и просто скучный геймплей! Да, есть несколько действительно хороших моментов, но оно того не стоит. Отвратительные диалоги на уровне подростков. НО самое главное - сюжет. СЮЖЕТ ПОЛНЕЙШАЯ ХУИТА, да ещё и пиздец какой долгий. Вся история тлоу2 вызывает у меня такое отвращение, что даже печально за потраченные деньги и я нисколько не преувеличиваю. Бесцеремонная и тупейшая смерть Джоуэла, от женщины Халка Эбби, которого я полюбил в первой части и ебаная Элли не отомстила даже за него. Автор придумал абсолютно идиотскую сцену с убиением Джоуэла, который был всегда на стороже и вдруг дал себя провести и убить. Разве контрабандист в мире пост-апокалипсиса пошел бы к чужакам в лагерь? Нет конечно! И даже если устроить сцену, как Эбби в одиночку убивает Джоуэла, да у неё нет абсолютно никаких шансов. Джоуэл профессиональный убийца с многолетним опытом, он бы просто насмерть отмудохал Эбби и все. Уже после убийства Джоуэла игру можно выключать. В целом - потерян весь смысл игры. Идея была в спасении мира и отношениях между любимыми персонажами из первой части. В уникальности Элли и в отцовской заботе Джоуэла. Сама же Элли потеряла все... Феминистки, трансгендеры, лгбт-движуха все это высер, который выводит меня исключительно на негативные эмоции. Так засрать игру, это надо постараться. Я говорил уже, что для меня главное сопереживать герою. Почему я должен сопереживать стремной перекаченной бабе, которая убила Джоуэла? Почему я после этого должен играть за нее? Был бы отбитым сексистом, я бы конечно сказал, что тлоу2 это вообще пропаганда радикального феминизма, пропаганда ненависти к мужчинам, большинство мужчин там тупо подкаблучники, я конечно так не скажу, но истина как всегда где то посередине. А ещё в игре про выживание почему то постоянно появляются поцелуи лесбух и их секс. Это точно игра про зомби? Я не сексист и не гомофоб, и я был бы не против парочки поцелуев, но не когда 24/7 героини обсуждают свои отношения вместо экшена. Элли стала хуже: злая, ненавидящая мужчин, курящая травку, какая то мерзкая. Флэшбки с Джоуэлом бесили неимоверно. Первая часть игры была шедевром, а вторая высер паразитирующий на первой части.     If you do something this year besides playing Animal Crossing, let it be this game. You can’t compare it to any other game; it excels in gameplay and story. I finished it over 2 days because I couldn’t put it down. And I still haven’t been able to stop thinking about it a week after finishing it.

    Gameplay is solid and story is strong as usual. In reality I’d probably call it an 8 or 9, not as good as the first, but since it’s getting reviewbombed ill keep it at 10.

    (No spoilers ahead) First off let me start by saying that i have avoided the internet and social media completely until after i finish my most anticipated singe player sequel of all time. The reason behind that is i like to experience music, movies, and video games my self no matter what other people think critics or not. So it all started about 3 months ago when the corona virus was(No spoilers ahead) First off let me start by saying that i have avoided the internet and social media completely until after i finish my most anticipated singe player sequel of all time. The reason behind that is i like to experience music, movies, and video games my self no matter what other people think critics or not. So it all started about 3 months ago when the corona virus was starting to get bad, i went to my local Gamestop and purchased a used PS4 , Days Gone, & The Last Of Us Remastered (Better late than never right). After completion of TLOUR, i had never experienced such a wide range of emotions from a video game it was a masterpiece!! (Days Gone was also fantastic) . Fast forward to today i find myself waiting at Gamestop first in line to pick up my preorder, i rush home to install what i hoped to be the greatest game of all time.

    i have cried, laughed, and had a minor heart attack all in the span of 6 hours, only scratching the surface of the game. The world is vast and stunning, constantly stopping to take pictures with my phone or stopping to take in the atmosphere and read every note or journal entry i find or exploring every inch of the game. This game does such a fantastic job of pulling you into the world and making you forget you have a controller in your hand.

    The combat system has been re worked to be more fluid and feel natural, stealth is also a great and fun option but not required depending on 1 of 5 difficulty levels you choose. The visuals are incredible even on my standard PS4, no visual errors, game breaking bugs, i haven't found anything that ruins immersion whatsoever . The new gunsmith/workbench feature is so much fun and looks so cool. The character animations & NPC AI are the best i have ever seen in a video game hands down, hell the environment is the best i have ever seen and only pulls you deeper into the world. The audio is out of this world from the in game music to the dynamic range of the enemies/environment , if you have surround sound headphones or a home theater system you are in for a treat (And you might Sh*t your self). Who ever created the in game user interface you are a genius, its just like the originals but still i had to give them some credit, cause its so easy to switch weapons or craft an item to quickly get back in the action.

    The story is fantastic so far and i know it wont disappoint at the end either, but that's all i'm going to say about that. If you are a causal or die hard fan of the original game i highly recommend you ignore the insane amount of trendy haters and experience what will with out a doubt go down as the greatest video game of all time even with all of the negativity. Please do yourself a favor and pick up a copy and support Naughty Dog. You can tell every single person at that studio poured their heart and soul into this game, i urge everyone to experience this amazing work of art. I am officially addicted and will probably play until the sun comes up, i haven't done that since the original Halo as a kid. (Sorry for long post but this game is incredible and i want at least one person who was skeptical to change their mind and fall in love just like i did) I hope you all have a good day thanks for reading!    … Expand

The original characters you knew from the previous game have completely changed and even go against what you would normally believe they would behave. I understand this game takes place a few years later, but in post apocalyptic world, wouldn't be realistic to their survival. What's more irritating is the constant forced face feeding of the underlying message within this game, which leaves a very sour and bitter taste in your mouth.

    It gets a 1 simply because its a game; participation ribbon. Other games have done what this game has to offer but better, more enjoyable with much better underlying messages.    … Expand

    Fantastic game. Had my emotions going and the suspense was awesome. The characters were all great and it had some eye opening scenes. This is a game I will definitely recommend to anyone and do not trust these people rate bombing this game who have only watched cutscenes. This game was handled properly, and effectively got their point across. 10/10.

    Incredibly disappointed. Sure the music and gameplay is alright, but the story is unbearable. Simply horrendous! I cant believe naughty dog went from making one of the greatest games of all time, tlou 1, to this pathetic game. I hope they suffer and go bankrupt, they dont deserve to stay in the game after making such a terrible game.

I found myself unable to care for the "antagonist" and her story. At some point, I just wanted to hurry up and beat the game.     Amazing game. People are mad because Ellie is gay and they think it is just a political move. But in the first game it clearly showed that Ellie was gay and they havnt changed anything to make it political. The story is nice, the gameplay is smooth, the graphics are good. I don't know know what else to expect from a game.

    First of all, the graphics are amazing. The game it's absolutely beautiful in every detail.

    Also, the game had some gameplay improvements that took the experience to a whole new level. The new level design is also amazing, giving some exploring liberty to the player, making it much less linear than TLO1.
    This new structure give more power to the player, that has more strategy options on how he want to advance. There's also a really well thought system of abilities, and the choices you make will directly impact on how your gameplay will evolve.

    The particular choice the game makes halfway through the story, which made many people angry was absolutely vital to increase the impact of the narrative.

    The narrative: this is definitely the high point on this game. It's not made by easy choices and takes chances on making a new and groundbreaking experience. The directions taken here made this a much more mature and complex story that will leave all sort of questions in your head, There's no right and definitive answers and this is the beauty of it.

    I don't believe that there's such thing as a perfect game, but The Last of Us get as close as possible to this.    … Expand

Naughty dog makes good games and aren’t afraid to take risks. This game proves that. They are a company that creates games for a beautiful story not to please people. You need to go into this game with an open mind because it is sad and people we live die. That is what makes this game awesome because the unexpected always happens. Who would have thought this company would put that scene into the first few hours of the game. I was speechless and hurt but I got over it and took my anger out on the infected and other humans. Overall a great game and people need to stop getting butt hurt when things don’t go planned.… Expand

When the E3 2018 trailer for this game came out and showed Ellie and Dina kissing, there was a small yet vocal part of the gaming community upset over this game, because they believed there was an "agenda." Very reminiscent of the Gamers Rise Up group (GRU for short) Some of these people in the GRU were the same ones upset about Nadine from Uncharted 4, they thought Naughty Dog was pushing an agenda because in their mind a woman can't beat a man in hand-to-hand combat, even if she is the leader of a mercenary group.

    The written leaks (which are all fake with the exception of Joel dying) had everybody in an uproar. These people claimed to be upset about the game, and didn't want to buy the game because they thought the story was bad, which is a clear lie. As evident by the many people that made videos, comments and twitter posts about the leaks, they were upset only for 2 things: the death of Joel and the (false) leak that claimed Abby was a transgender that you play as during the last half of the game to hunt down and kill Ellie.

    Once GRU got called out for trashing a game for frivolous reasons, they tried to switch up and pretend it was the crunch culture of Naughty Dog that upset them. Many more false rumors came out, about Naughty Dog not paying their employees, and Anita Sarkeesian helping with the game. There were also false rumors about how Neil forced other people out. There has been no proof to back up any of these rumors. As for GRU being upset at Naughty Dog's crunch culture, it's quite clear these people didn't give a damn about that, considering that they sent hate and death threats towards the same people they claimed to feel bad for. Notice how GRU hasn't mentioned the crunch culture at Naughty Dog since April. They hated a game that wasn't even out yet for garbage reasons and tried to pivot.

    Channels got striked for showing leaked footage and GRU, insistent on seeing this game fail, pivoted towards that being the reason why they hated the game. Another pivot. This angry minority of people in the gaming community began to go on a crusade for months, spoiling the game for other people, sending death threats to people at Naughty Dog, harassing the voice actors and shouting out some pretty vile things towards gay people and transgender people.

    The reviews come out and GRU called the ones with early copies, shills. They claimed they were on Sony's payroll and wouldn't say anything bad about their games, which is the dumbest thing I ever heard considering the ones that got early copies have been critical towards Sony exclusives multiple times in the past. GRU clinged on to the reviewers that didn't enjoy the game, and used that as more fuel that they were right about the game. Keep in mind, the full game still isnt even out.

    This game hasn't even been out a full day and it has more user reviews than The Last of Us does, and that game has been out for 7 years. Most of the user reviews are giving this game a straight up 0 out of 10, or a 4 out of 10, and their comments are filled with bs. You can clearly tell in these comments that these people have not played the game, or even seen a walkthrough of the game because they parrot comments from reviewers that were critical on the game, or they get info about the game blatantly wrong. I don't know how anyone can value user reviews after seeing this game is clearly being reviewed bombed by a group of people who have believed since 2016, that Naughty Dog is pushing an agenda.

    This game is easily the best game I've played all year, will that remain the case after Ghost of Tsushima and Cyperpunk comes out? Idk, but right now it's easily the game of the year. Everything about this game is perfect, I enjoyed the story, but the story is not a perfect. I feel like they could have executed some things a little better, specifically when it comes to Abby. I think after the initial cutscene with Joel giving Ellie the guitar, it should have showed Joel's rampage through the hospital from Abby's point of view. Then hop into Abby getting split up from Owen and then you switch to playing as Ellie.

    For those of you who have legit concerns and are trying to gauge whether or not to like this game, don't listen to the people spouting hate and writing the game off as having nothing good going for it. But don't listen to the people calling it a perfect game either, because it's not. If you liked the gameplay of the 1st one, you're gonna like the gameplay in this one. And I feel like even if you dont like the story (for legitimate reasons, not because you think an agenda is being pushed) the gameplay will make up for it.    … Expand

    TLOU never needed a secuel, the story was already over and was a masterprice. TLOU part 2 story is just lgbt propaganda and **** lm really disapointed. They literally **** off on the narrative, and in the characters i love, i cant imagine a worse history for this game

I do feel awful for the people that designed the games environment and graphics because its one of the best I've seen in a game and now all of the studio is going to get this much backlash for the most questionable decisions in story telling ever.

    But before that I do believe the gameplay has barely improved. I expected something more than a jump button, dogs and the ability to crawl. Then if the gameplay isn't much improved then surely the main focus of the game is the story. Which is the worst part of the game. None of the charm and connection from the first game is here. Joel the character I loved most from the last game is killed very early in the game and honestly I wanted to stop playing there. But I forced myself onwards. When they announced the game we all sort of knew Joel was going to die in some way. But the way they did it here is extremely disrespectful to the character that was one of the best parts of the original. They could of done it in such a beautiful way like Lee Everett from the telltale walking dead series. Or Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2. Hitting so emotionally and satisfyingly. But when Joel gets clubbed to death instead and you only feel so much anger towards abby. But i thought okay this is the villain and Joel's death is a driving force. I'm still annoyed but if I get an adult furious and faithful to character Ellie on a hunt for abby with a great ending and emotion in the story i can still give the game a 7. But no. You play as the villain that killed your favourite character. One of the most iconic characters in gaming. And you play as their murderer of the icon of the first game for half of the game. When i started playing as abby I put my controller down in rebellion of this decision because I couldn't accept the stupidity of this. Throughout all of the time with abby the game wanted me to sympethesis with her but I just felt rage towards her. But I also hated playing as Ellie. The side characters are just... eh... just average at best. Returning characters feel off and new characters are boring. But Ellie is the worst at this. In the original she was the little light in the depressing world but here she's stoic and cold and not very likable. But i haven't touched on the ending. We go through armies as Ellie with over 100+ peoples blood on our hands just to reach abby and then let her go. She lets go the murderer of her father figure. No one would do this. I mean at least if we killed her id be a bit happier. All in all the game is maybe okay with gameplay and idiotic when it comes to story. The only thing I can compare it to is if in God of War 2 kratos gets killed by Freya and then we play as her running away from atreus. And then at the end atreus let's her go because of... reasons.

    The Last of Us 2 is a BEAUTIFUL game with BRUTAL gameplay (not a game for weak people) that fails to tell a well written and compelling story. Really difficult to like any of the side characters and to side with the characters that the game wants you to side with. The game is not a complete disaster but doesn't even come close to his predecessor.

    The best game I have ever played. The story driven game I waited for for years with the best graphics I have ever seen on the PS4. The gameplay is great and takes little getting used to, the music is atmospheric and most of all, the storytelling is beautiful.

    The game almost seems to be directed and written by different people who have completely different views on what the first game was, what it was about, and the justification for the things that the characters did in that setting.

    This game took a turn basically the way GoT did. The first seasons were well fleshed out and thoughtful then in the last few seasons it seems like a completely different entity. This is exactly the way TLOU2 feels while playing. Its the same "show" just in essence just completely different from what came before it.    … Expand

    All the hate bombing that this is receiving is laughable. This game is simply a masterpiece. The things that people are complaining about, I found absolutely awesome. This is one amazing way to close out the PS4 and flow into the new generation of gaming on the PS5. Great Job!

    Final thoughts: This is a well-crafted game with a complex story. I want to challenge those who did not feel satisfied (and frankly those who did) to engage in discussion about this work as we process the things it made us feel and the ideas we were presented with. I also want to challenge all of us to think about the differences between our personal feelings of a game vs the objective craftsmanship of a world and the stories that take place in it before jumping on a negative review train.     The Last of Us Part 2 takes everything that was great about the first game and expands on it. The combat is pretty much identical, but there are some new puzzle mechanics to shake up the slow exploration sections. The story is still fairly generic, but the characters and dialogue is so well written that it is very easy to get immersed in the world.

Graphics are the only good thing about the game yet the story and narrative is ruined by the lack of creativity that Naughty Dog once had. I can't believe they went with the idea of revenge and tried to put a twist that revenge is not the right thing to do, in. a. post-pandemic. world. Story matters.     Graphics - 10 Wonderful looking but that's to be expected
    Gameplay - 7 feels a bit dated but still good
    Story - 2 love the concept of a circle of violence, but am quite disappointed so far
    That averages out to a 6 but due to the feeling of sheer disrespect of the first game i am knocking of 2 more points, I will finish the game but i highly doubt my feelings will change    … Expand

Трудно сделать хороший сюжет ещё труднее сделать отличный сюжет и практически не возможно его повторить и оставить всех довольными!!! Но эти ребята очень старались и не стоит их топить! Указав на ошибки стоит поддержать и я уверен следующая часть поразит всех на повал! Ведь на ошибках учатся и это не отъемлемая частье на пути к вершине и по этому я опладирую стоя!!! But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
