    I wonder how many of the people who reviewed this game a few hours after it came out had actually played the game. I have played the game for several hours and I am enjoying the game play, even though it did start a little slow, the story is fine and the graphics are great.

    I really enjoyed the game. Thought the story wasn't the best but the gameplay and naritive was enough. I think k would of liked the game more if sony presented the game better.

    Gameplay, scenery, graphics, music and sound all surpass the original. Performances and story equal to part 1, a fantastic continuation of the world. Runs flawlessly on base PS4 too

    Not completed as just got today so not sure how there are so many comments putting this game down, I think the graphics are outstanding and I’m enjoying the story so far. I think the people who are complaining are people who didn’t even like the first game and went into playing this one wanting to hate it.

We feel every kind of emotion, practically what Ellie feels too, after someone's death. Hate, anger, sadness etc. And our first thought is so kill every one of them (same thought Ellie has). But in the middle of the game we get to play as Abby and experience her side, her story. I know it takes some time to get over the fact that you're playing her but give it a chance - that's what my friend told me and I'm glad I did.. After killing Abby countless times the moment I got to play her. As the story continues and we get to know more of her, the fact, she's just trying to survives in this messed up world like Joel & Ellie. Ellie and Abby both are blinded by anger, same with the player but as the story continues we get a more cleared view of the whole situation. We turn from the monster that wants to kill every single one of them to a more moral person. And it starts to make you think if killing all those people was correct. There is no last of us 2 this game is a horrible bad joke and should never have been released. Even the people who worked on this garbage were so mad that they leaked the story to show people how bad it is so they don't waste their money and time on this game. Not to mention the disappointment by this poorly written story. It's hard to say the story has plot holes because it's the only thing the story is even made out of. It's like they didn't even care what the characters in the first game were like they just changed their character to s##t on the player. Joel a very careful survivor now trusts every stranger. It’s not better than the first one but this one is really good. The graphics are really good and the mechanics are good too. I hate Joel’s death not only because he died but the way he died and the fact that you play as a killer makes it worse but after completing the game I understand why she killed him. Although Joel was a really good character he wasn’t really a good guy which made him a target. The ending was bad but it made sense how Ellie saw that Abby was kind of like a Joel to Lev and so she decided not to kill her.… Expand

    This game is amazing, the score, the acting, gameplay is so much improved, and yes, the story is taking major risks, but the actions are explained over the course of the game. I highly recommend this game, it is a must play, and in my humble opinion the future GOTY.

    Not all games need a continuation. The Last of Us part II is proof of that.

    PROS: -The graphics are really beautiful. -The gameplay is very close to the first one. For me this is very good. -It is very pleasant to play with Ellie. -The world of the game is very well made. THE MIXED: -Some new characters are ok, I guess. You'll not care much about them, but they are necessary.    Not all games need a continuation. The Last of Us part II is proof of that.

    PROS:
    -The graphics are really beautiful.
    -The gameplay is very close to the first one. For me this is very good.
    -It is very pleasant to play with Ellie.
    -The world of the game is very well made.

    THE MIXED:
    -Some new characters are ok, I guess. You'll not care much about them, but they are necessary.
    -The dialogues are sometimes forced, sometimes incredible.

    THE (REALLY) BAD:
    The story is absolutely lazy. They didn't put any, what so ever, effort to make a good story. The big event in the beginning is really REALLY bad, and the end is almost worst.

    Do yourself a favor: DON'T BUY THIS GAME. Wait until it goes on sale.

    Objectively speaking, this game is pretty fantastic; however, I understand the hate. If this was a standalone game, I believe that users on here would be singing its praises similarly to how critics are. It is a wonderful character exploration that tugs at your heartstrings almost every step of the way - however the game isn't afraid to upend everyone you knew from the first game.     Absolute masterpiece, the storytelling is breathtaking. Graphics, gameplay, acting, everything is superb. Best game of this console generation and second best game of all time, as Part I is the best. Thank you Naughty Dog :)

    I wanted to give this game a 9 or even a 10, but the big weakness is still too glaring. And that is this: this game, whether intentional or not, has utter contempt for the player. It forces you to do horrible things to people & animals in Ellie's petty revenge quest, and then it forces you to play as Abby, the story the whole time **** on you for doing what the game forced you to do as Ellie. It was so badly conceived. And yeah, literally spitting on Joel has garnered an appropriate backlash. I actually deleted the game from my console at one point; however, I was still drawn back in and had to take it to the finish line. I'm glad I did.

    I wish so badly that Naughty Dog's next game takes the things that worked here, and creates their next game with the player in mind. We don't need to be taught a morality lesson in such a poorly-executed fashion. This could have been so great. Instead it's just good, despite the game's best efforts.    … Expand

Most of the negative reviews on this game is from people who probably didn't even buy the game, but just going off the leaked information we got about the game a month ago before it came out.

    Everyone has their opinion. The thing with Metacritic is that anyone can review the game, even if they haven’t played it. People all over the internet were saying that this game was terrible because they saw the leaks and didn’t like it. The game is over 30 hours long, and only 30 minutes were leaked.     I honestly don't understand the hate for this game? I mean...besides the crybaby straight males who are mad that Ellie isn't mackin on chicks and instead has a complicated lesbian relationship. The game is bleak. It's the zombie apocalypse after all. Of course stuff is going to hit the fan. Y'all just get with the times please.

    Honestly, I don't understand why everyone is bombing this game. If you expected a carbon copy of TLOU you were wrong. It's a sequel and it's going to have a different storyline! I believe it is well put together and made. The cinematics paired with a strong storyline makes it a worthy sequel. Also so glad to see LGBTQ representation in video games!     No spoilers, this game is fantastic, the story is incredible, the gameplay is tight, the level design is perfection, it's engaging, captivating, enthralling, everything you could want from the perfect gaming experience.     There's no way these thousands of reviews less than a day after release give an accurate representation of the product. Mostly giving a 10 to counter the negativity since I'm not that far in. But everything I've seen so far has been immensely positive for me. I liked the opening of the first one more, but that sequence is damn hard to beat.

    Don't base your opinion on whether the characters are gay, straight, white, black, women, or men. But on how the game is, if you havent played the game, or seen a playthrough of it, dont make a review on it.

    The game is made well, it has a good story, the npcs are a bit wonky but one can work with that, the world is good looking, and the mechanics are improved a lot on the wonky movement from the first game.    … Expand

    I’ve played just as much of this game as most of you have, so virtually none of it. And as someone who hasn’t played the game, this 10/10 review is worth just as much as the thousands of 0/10 reviews that complain about sjw’s. The game is probably really good though, I might try it out when I have time to.

    6 hours into the game have already felt anger, sadness. Literally dropped a couple tears during a scene. I can't wait to see what else waits for me. Just like the first game the last of us part 2 is going to be a emotional roller coaster

    Have spent the least 10 hours and the Game is absolutely one of the beste Games I ever played. It feel like Part 1, only the story get continued and many parts a little bit better then before. I love it and I am excited about the rest of the game.

Bem, eu estava esperando esse jogo por muito tempo, e conseguiu me dar oque eu queria e ainda mais, a jogabilidade do primeiro jogo não era A INOVAÇÃO, mas era incrivelmente bem feita e gostozinha, e eles melhoraram isso, adicionando mais coisas ao mesmo tempo, outra coisa é o áudio q é incrível, os cenários e level design, em termos de gameplay é incrível, mas e agr, a história. Bem, isso varia muito de opinião, eu amei a história, o primeiro game é uma história de amor e tem mensagens que vc leva para a vida inteira, e o segundo faz isso, com um tema diferente, o ódio, se você só jogar por jogar, não vai aproveitar de verdade, precisa pensar e refletir, e é claro, estourar umas cabeças juntos, resumindo, esse jogo vale o dinheiro?     Joel & Ellie: Joel didn’t deserve that death he did what any father would do to protect their child he lost everything he wasn’t ready to lose another daughter for a fantasy because the doctor needs a lab more tests better equipment so basically the doctor was ready to kill Ellie for nothing she is only to him his first subject, Joel all he wanted is a better future for Ellie because he couldn’t secure his daughter.

    They made Ellie hate Joel for 2 years didn’t get the chance to forgive him before his death and lost her fingers she no longer can play the get are kills everyone was involved to Joel death when she catches Abby decided to let her go and ends up all alone even though that was her biggest fear just wow.

    The plot: it’s revenge why they didn’t make it Joel get his revenge for his daughter death from the who ordered their death and more families, the funny part you don’t get to revenge Joel and lose Jesse the girlfriend leaves Tommy lost an eye no respect to all the characters. Abby & the doctor: the doctor is selfish killing an innocent kid for nothing didn’t even answer Marlin question when she asked what if it’s your daughter just hoping the world come back easy we all know it takes a lot of years it might not work even,

    Abby: she finds Joel 4 years later kills him after saving her from dying she brutally killed him at least he gave her father a quick death hurts a lot of people and escaped wining she is no better than her father at least she had a parent while Ellie didn’t they want us to fell her side all I feel is hate and anger and wish that she never existed.

    The graphics are awesome, gameplay nice, Joel and Ellie voice actors are top, the visual and sound are pretty nice too    … Expand
