    The graphics of this generation are great, but that’s as far as it goes. I thought games were for people to enjoy and burn off steam and forget about life for a while. Neil claims to not want to offend certain groups of people, but then puts brutal killing and profanity and a sex scene in a game.     The game has very nice graphics, but it is not the best, some bugs at certain points in the game, the gameplay of the characters is wonderful and far superior to the first game.

    Скучнейший и затянутый сюжет, особенно вторая половина игры. Геймплей ничего особенного из себя не представляет и из-за затянутости игры начинаешь быстро от него уставать. ИИ туповат, даже на высоком уровне сложности. Единственное, за что можно похвалить - графика и проработка локаций. Игра безумно красивая, тут разрабы выложились по полной, да. For those who don't know, there has been a ton of controversy for TLOU2 having things like LGBTQ acceptance (which is a big no-no I guess?) and having realistic proportions for their characters (usually these people like immersion, but I guess not now that immersion means their fantasy girl is more athletic than their fat ass). It is simply disgusting to think that, at the point of me writing this, 6000 people were so affronted at the idea of diversity and acceptance for their fellow man that they felt the need to review bomb a masterful game. To the close-minded people who are also about to give a bad review for no reason other than "politics": I have a message for you. Go **** yourself. Go stick a lego up your microdick's urethra as you bawl your eyes out because your tiny mind cannot fathom diversity. Go back to your little basement and hop on **** Keep your hate on that **** useless website and stay there. Either learn to accept others or stay in your ad-hoc incel bunker for the rest of your life.     I really like this game, but it's not perfect, I think in the last of us 1 is better compared to 2, but in the last of us, part 2 is better in some aspects like surreal graphics, gameplay, options, combat, artificial intelligence improved in a fantastic way and because we have a vision of Ellie's gradual maturation

    It's like Naughty Dog spent all their time on the game play, graphic engine (which is stunningly beautiful) and audio; and then just outsourced the story writing to some third tier hack. It isn't intelligent, it isn't fun or endearing.

    I just don't know who they made this game for. I'm just depressed, if I didn't get the digital edition I would be getting a refund.    … Expand

Just because they are brave and admirable however, does mean they are good. TLOU breaks down the depth and resources of the actors and characters and turns them into 2 dimensional figures and they are, the saddest thing for any high calibre art, predictive. Once my expectations were "subverted", the rest of the game fell neatly into place, it was a dark, bleak and non redeeming mess. The writing staff and ND must have such a low opinion of it's player base that they feel this game is a necessary commentary on vengeance. It is not. There were themes of forgiveness, and the ending reinforced them, however they were drowned out by the loss of credible characters and the needless vengeance plot that i had to think very hard that they were there. If you loved the characters and story of TLOU 1, don't buy this game, some stories don't need conclusions.    … Expand

    I gave this high score because i think there´s no limit for escapism in entertaiment, and if you want to experiment how is to be a quite violent person, that´s where this game really shines. I can´t really blame a totally change in direction if that is what the creators wanted, but i can do is just boot up a colorful and warm japanese game and see happy characters again.    … Expand

The story is as good as the original game and if you liked that then you'll like this one. Only a single plot point from the leaks was accurate everything else is false

    Un juego sobresaliente que distingue lo real de la ficcion .Y por suerte te hace sentir como una persona real que tomaes decisiones como lo errores de los humanos que por instinto toma y por ende tiende a atenderse a las consecuencias . Un juego excelente y satisfactorio.

    To keep it short i will just write some of the things that i didn't like at all.

    I didn't like the forced brutal moments of the game that where there just for the sake of having something shocking. I felt like that they exchanged characters value for the shocking moments. There were also some really awkward unnecessary private moments that cheapened the characters value even further.

    I didn't like that unlike the previous game, the drama is way too artificial. The characters just weren't convincing enough, both in writing and voice acting.
    Same with the story of the game. I was expecting to see a lot of moments with our beloved characters from the previous game, now that they have grown wiser with the time, unfortunately that wasn't the case (I can't expand more on this without spoiling things).

    About the sound i will say the soundtrack is not memorable but passable. Voice acting felt a little dry but that may have been due to the script being so stiff and artificial.

    As far as gameplay goes, it wasn't anything revolutionary or new, i will just say it did the job. i just wish there were fewer QTEs, in any case this is a story driven game, and that's where the game didn't deliver.    … Expand

They somehow forgot about that part of the story. More than 10 hours of cutscenes and just 15 of real gameplay, next time make a movie or a serie instead. Good story (even though I agree with critics that 1 was slightly better), small gameplay improvements since the 1 but kept really simple (which I like). The addition of the dodge mechanic is fairly fun but can become quite repetitive. The real issue with this game is the narrative. ND tried to take an interesting route with TLOU2, but it just fell very flat with a thud for me. Je trouve le gameplay assez satisfaisant (pour les gens qui le trouve trop simpliste je vous conseille d’y jouer en difficile ou survivant et ce sera une toute autre histoire) Pour ce qui est du côté narratif du jeu, il y a rien a dire, j’ai jamais ressenti des émotions aussi forte dans un jeu et je pense pas revivre uneTres bon jeu, il s’est amélioré en tout point par rapport au 1er.     Like Liana K said, Last of Us 2 feels like mud wrestling - vapid entertainment involving two angry women in the midst of all the mess and violence (I'm paraphrasing here).

    Stuff involving Joel and Ellie were good though, and Lev is an interesting character whose back story is woefully neglected... It shows how Naughty Dog missed, or rather messed their chance.

Not only did they try to force some ‘what did you learn from this’ kinda point with the whole abby story, they completely betrayed who some of the characters were or had to begun to by the end of the last game. Joel came off as a complete idiot, how can one guy go from the hardest survivor around to a incompetent trusting doof in five years? Also ellie is all over the place emotionally in this, in the end she gives up everything for nothing. 0/10… Expand

    this game has an awesome graphic environment it's really amazing that a PS4 can run this. from a narrative stand point has some moments that are because "yes" and I didn't like the companion mechanics that actually useless but from a general stand point is a great game.

    I came into this ready for a good story.
    I can't tell you how disappointed I am with this.
    On top of that, people are being harassed for not smiling and saying "this is great!". Sorry druckmann, the majority of us aren't for sale.

    The most important part of a game like this, which was also touted, is the story...
    If this doesnt prove what a HACK Druckman is I dont know what will. Pathetic excuse for a story, pathetic one note characters, and pathetic virtue signaling in hopes of appearing "woke" I assume. Such a disservice to the game and gamers alike.

    Never have I experienced a game that has received such unjust criticism from a swath of people who refused to play the game based on out of context leaks. While I believe the game slightly suffers from being a bit too ambitious, (bigger areas to explore, too many notes to read ETC) It's a masterclass in storytelling I've never seen in a game before.     The majestic work in the graphics and the cinematographic is stunning don't get me wrong. The story is awfull, they don't respect our hours & hours playing TLU1 and the connection we have within and the feeling when you heard the sound of the platinum trophy after you went through the game all over and over. Is simply heartbreaking.

    To start, this game is not nearly as awful as everyone makes it out to be. Objectively. I've heard so much about it being "miserable" and "misery p*rn" but that simply isn't the case. The tone is darker than the first, and our heroine Ellie goes    I had a major blast with this game from start until finish. The wait was worth it, and I find myself enjoying this game more than the first.

    To start, this game is not nearly as awful as everyone makes it out to be. Objectively. I've heard so much about it being "miserable" and "misery p*rn" but that simply isn't the case. The tone is darker than the first, and our heroine Ellie goes through so much hardship - yet there are plenty of reprieves from the trauma that it's more of the same from the first game.

    Next, the main villain. I do not have qualms about playing them; I don't have a problem with the events she makes happen within the game. I think it's very interesting to be able to play as villain and act on their motives- and it works well here.

    Mechanically this game is far above its predecessor, and improves on everything it did originally. The accessibility features have been very helpful for a disabled gamer like me - in particular, half-pushing the stick tires out my arthritic hands/thumbs, so being able to lower stealth detection and crawl invisibility has helped a lot, and neither of these things have hampered my ability to fully enjoy the horror of this game.

    Finally to mention, the game really is beautiful. It looks and feels nice and I can't help but be totally in love with it every second I'm playing. I cannot wait to platinum this and I cannot wait to see what may be in store in the future for this series, if anything.

    Thank you Neil and Naughty Dog for your tremendous work on this game - even through the crunch and bad press you've received for choices of plot in this fictional work. Thank you for bringing it to us, despite everything. Both me and my partner have thoroughly enjoyed this game at every turn, and it was well worth the wait.    … Expand

    La muerte de Joel me parece una falta de respeto y que el juego acabe para una tercera entrega si o si, me parece aún peor, esto no es una serie de televisión. El juego vale 70 euros y hay que esperar años cómo para que te hagan algo así, no es justo, merecería un cierre, un cierre de etapa en la vida de Joel y Ellie.

    ----Tengo que aplaudir, solamente, por el hecho de incluir al colectivo LGBT, un aplauso a ND, pero nada más.----

    Por lo demás pongo un 3, por la increíble falta de respeto de un producto engañoso, donde lo único que se hace es sacar el dinero de los fans, yo no puedo gastarme 70 euros y ver como el juego termina con Ellie herida o medio muerta sin saber nada más, y un Joel con una muerte malísima y sin respeto.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game was impressive in regards to its visuals, sound design, voice acting, scenery and game play. What brought this game down was the story and more specifically its execution.

    It opts to go for the bleakest possible outcomes in every scenario. It glorifies its misery. It cynically and naively assumes the worst of humanity out of literally every single person left in the world.

    The game wants you to understand there are multiple sides to every story/person but in doing so, it forces that down your throat while almost ignoring all attempts at developing other parts of the story. An example of this is when Abby kills Joel towards the beginning of the game without (to the knowledge of the player) any reason. This immediately makes the player despise the character, regardless of what justifications they may have in the future. It makes the player completely unable to empathize with Abby getting her revenge. But it constantly tries to make her more likeable and more human in most of her scenes, while at the same time making Ellie and Joel look as bad as possible.

    Then there's that ending. Put simply, "revenge is bad" but only if you're Ellie. Whereas Abby gets hers and more.

    The entire game is just the player watching helplessly and annoyed as the characters make bad decision after bad decision that you don't want them to make. It removes player agency entirely,

Then I finally played it and it was a major disappointment to me. The one thing I must say I love about this game are the visuals, they are gorgeous, along with most of the sound design as well. The gameplay is still relatively the same, not merely as polished or improved as it should be. Most of the unique movement puzzles that were in the first game have been replaced by practically just the same exact thing. The AI is pretty bad to for the most part, half the time I could just walk right by the zombies of this games universe. Now the thing that made this game’s predecessor great was its story. That is completely absent from this game. This game takes a huge dump on all your old favorite characters, giving them stupid deaths, or just making them completely stupid and simply annoying. Most of the new characters as well, especially the golf girl, are bad as well. All though there were a few new characters that I enjoyed. The ending is one of the most unsatisfying things ever in a game in my opinion, the game repeatedly tries to teach you the cycle of violence and fails to do so in the most important part. I’m hugely disappointed and hate this game. I don’t recommend this game, unless you like Star Wars The Last Jedi, or Game Of Thrones Season 8.… Expand

Tried to avoid spoilers as much as could, did hear that Joel died, which didn't bother me to hear, but to see him get murdered in such an undignified way and how Ellie basically let this butch androgynous unlikable creature walk free, I just cannot express the injustice that was done to these characters. The weird sex scene was unnecessary and saw no point in it besides Neil Dickman or whatever the hell his name is, get off on his bizarre fetish and get "woke" points for being "progressive". At a certain point the graphics and scenery stopped being impressive and there were certain moments where I was bored and had no motivation to play especially as a character which I strongly disliked. Steroid Mary Sue was just not a good character. I felt forced to play as her but I couldn't give less of a crap about her or her story. Did not enjoy this game, it was a mess and cursed to begin with once the leaks and employee drama started to come out. Does not live up the beauty of the first game at all and it seems no beautiful story and characters are saved from the destructive clutches of progressivism.… Expand

    We saw a lot of games and we will see that they only hoped for us through the trailer, but in the end they were embarrassing. last of us 2 is one of dozens of games that are the only reason to sell PS and when they are launched, they disappoint us a lot, disappointing graphics, various bugs, and many more that were later discovered in the gameplay. Mas é insano, brutal e "realista", desde que você entenda como o jogo quer contar essa história (por mais frustrante que essa história seja), você pode ter certeza de que terá uma boa jogabilidade e imersão. Cenários muito maiores que o primeiro, mas não são obrigatórios, assim como a jogabilidade não te obrigaPode não ser contado da mesma maneira que o primeiro, porque não é o primeiro. Mas é insano, brutal e "realista", desde que você entenda como o jogo quer contar essa história (por mais frustrante que essa história seja), você pode ter certeza de que terá uma boa jogabilidade e imersão. Cenários muito maiores que o primeiro, mas não são obrigatórios, assim como a jogabilidade não te obriga a jogar furtivamente, acrescentou mecânicas de combate e detalhes insanos para TUDO no jogo, que eu não achava que rodariam no PS4. Dêem uma chance para esse jogo, que é uma obra de arte e assim como toda obra de arte, precisa ser entendida. Não é perfeito, nada é, mas que é bem feito em todos os sentidos, é. E só porque não se adapta no que você gosta, não seja babaca, não seja um hater de dar uma nota 0-5, sei que não é o jogo da sua vida, mas com certeza não merece essa nota. Uma comparação mais que perfeita, são pessoas que dizem que Breaking Bad é "lento" e "parado", sem entender NADA do contexto e narrativa da história.     -they challenge your views, both on what a game can do and what it can be.

    TLOUS2 is an amazing game:

    - it improves over all the good aspects of the first game.
    - Story telling is very well done, character design is superb.
    - The STRONG point of the first game was in the Character design and growth which is the main focus of this game, not in the main "plot line" of the game. Naughty dog did not reinvent story telling with TLOUS (since this kind of plots have been all over the place in post apocalyptic literature, it goes to show you how ignorant the majority of this reviewers are).
    -They designed a story that follows the natural progress and logical flow starting from the very last scene of the LAST OF US.
    - Its a game that doesn't try to please you, or go out of its way to give you what you want (go to Disney for that).

    If you want a game to please you and that you know what to expect from it then please buy Call of Duty and Assassin's creed, I don't hear you complaining about those games being always the same and having the most deviating stories. Gameplay virtually hasn't changed for the last 10 years.

What’s so frustrating about Part 2 is that the game seems to have all the pieces necessary to do just that. But those pieces end up getting lost as the game also tries to tell an entirely new story, one that tries to expand the Last of Us world into a generalized setting for an anthology of loosely connected stories. The end result never comes together in a satisfying way.

    That doesn’t take away from the many enjoyable, memorable, and even emotional moments as Part 2’s barrels from promising start to messy conclusion. But it also serves as a marked comedown from the quiet, directed, self-contained confidence of the first game.

    I don’t regret the time I spent back in the world of The Last of Us. But a big part of me was left wondering if its creators just should have left well enough alone.    … Expand

    Postive things
    - The gameplay feels so close with part 1 that makes you feel like you were in home
    - You're gonna love Ellie's flashbacks.
    - Ellie and Dina have a natural relationship that does not feel forced at all.
    Neutral things
    - Despite the fact that it's a PS4 game the graphics feels so PS3, Do´not misunderstand me, they look great but ND could improve more in some facial actions like Dina, sometimes feels kind of computarized compared to Ellie.
    - Sometimes the exploration takes so much time just for nothing that makes it boring, kind of Death Stranding
    Negative Things:
    - Flashbacks inside flashbacks
    - The History has a bad writting, the circle of violence became a joke

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
