    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part 2 is an near perfect game that captures what life would be like in a post apocalyptic Seattle. The Gameplay feels grounded and realistic and is much improved from 2013s TLOU. The story is also, despite the leaks, very immersive and makes you feel for both playable characters, Abby and Ellie.

    Close to the start of the game, Abby and her group, the WLF (often referred to as the "wolves") move near to a settlement called Jackson in the hope of finding joel, the former main protagonist and kill him for essentially murdering her father. She does this right in front of Ellie which inturn sends Ellie on a path for revenge. You go through most of the game tracking down Abby as Ellie throughout seattle and then eventually the story gets to a point where you switch to abby's point of view and her backstory. The story here could've gone 1 or 2 ways. It could have made Abby seem to be a deranged psychopath who killed joel for no reason or it could have given her a backstory and a motive for why she did what she did and thankfully it went with the 2nd option. Abby before now was extremely unlikeable having brutally murdered a fan favourite character but now that she has a motive the player begins to sympathize and understand. Abby and Ellie eventually cross paths yet again and have a massive fight at the end.

    Gameplay wise the game feels smooth and fun to play. Runners are as easy as ever to kill, stalkers are the creepiest out of the bunch as they just lurk in the shadows and wait to pounce, flickers are relatively easy to kill - all that is needed is one gun shot to destroy its armored head and another to kill it or if you want to take the stealthy approach Ellie always Carrie's a pocket knife so you can kill a clicker with one attempt each time however for abby you will, much like the first game have to craft a shiv as she doesn't carry anything with her. Bloaters are the hardest out of the bunch to kill however fire is the best option- one molotov and then keep dodging while shooting a few bullets should do the trick. Shamblers are the newest form of infected that are covered in spores and emit a corrosive gas that is often deadly. They're easy enough to kill However as 2 or 3 rifle bullets to the head should be enough. Watch out though as they emit one final gas cloud as they die.

    So in conclusion I've given this game an 8/10 as both the Gameplay and story are very well worked however joel dying in the manor that he did is s bit suspect but regardless of the way he was killed, abby did have a motive so he wasn't killed for nothing.    … Expand

    The graphics and gameplay are good. But the story is so bad it drowns out all the good elements. Feels like more of a lecture then a video game. Every character acts weird and unrecognisable. The characters motivations constantly change and how each character acts makes no sense.

    I'm just SO SO disappointed. The story could have been SO much better. I wish I could play the first game all over again and be done with it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    Многу е тешко да се опише убавината на игра од ваков тип без да се направи спојлер на приказната. Затоа многу од работите ќе ги скокнам за да не ви го уништам задоволството во играњето.

    Приказната продолжува неколку години од каде што застана претходниот дел, а е скоро 25 години од првиот заразен. Ели и Џоел се стационирани во Џексот, Вајоминг во мало комјунити кое се спомнува во првиот дел. И како во секоја приказна, тргнувате на стандардна обиколка која ќе отиде во непредвидена насока. Од тука Ели тргнува во потрага по тие кои ѝ згрешиле, а со тоа и вашето патешествие.

    Инетересен момент е тоа што ТLOU2 изобилува со ретроспективи кои не се обични синематици туку мисии што ќе треба да ги играте. На таков начин се објаснуваат голем број од прашањата во однос на врските помеѓу карактерите, а ги има доволно и се напумпани со емоции и адреналин. Овој начин на раскажување прави да се внесете во приказната толку длабоко што почнувате да оформувате свое мислење за сите карактери… да ги судите, браните, живеете со нив.

    Голем дел од наративот ќе го дознаете преку дијалози. Многу морални дилеми и размислувања се протнуваат низ навидум неважните муабети со другите карактери со кои играте или ќе влезете во конфронтација.

    Одлично и ненаметливо е скоцкан системот да ви објаснат каде и што треба да правите. На пример во еден момент гледате со двоглед во далечината каде што треба да одите, нема никакви индикатори со стрелки или хајлајти на екранот туку преку разговор со другиот карактер кој е со вас дознавате што треба да се случи и да направите. Доколку погледнете во тој дел ќе се провее разговорот, доколку не… тоа е, останува некој друг да ви раскаже.

    | УМЕТНОСТА Е ВО ДЕТАЛИТЕ
    Совршенство! Деталите во играта се неверојатни. Сите зони, пејзажи, куќи, полиња, штали, рушевини, искинати сајли и цевки, сѐ е неверојатно реалистично. Ќе бидете прошетани низ сите годишни времиња. Од зимскиот Вајоминг, до зелените предградија на Сиетл во кои природата си го земала својот дел и обраснала сѐ што може....

    Es indiscutible que en apartado técnico sea de lo mejor de la generación pero su historia es muy subjetiva. Este no es otro juego AAA donde cuentan una historia sin mojarse lo mas mínimo y sin tratar temas importantes que a día de hoy siguen ocurriendo con el fin de gustar a todos los jugadores. Там было это самое развитие но мало. Очень. Мне хотелось больше Элли, больше Дины, больше Томми, а не Эбби. Хотя сюжетную линию с Эбби прописали качественно... Но это не то...
    Концовка неоднозначная. Элли убивала всех на своём пути к Эбби, а её саму пощадила... ?

    I saw the leaks, and as many of you I was disappointed, but I pre-order the game and gave it a chance... The game at the point of this review has been out for nearly 24h I have played it for 20h. This game is really something else I understand how it can dissapoint some people to hear certain plot points. But trust me they are out of context and out of the game. Este videojuego podría ser una completa obra maestra, pero tiene un fallo que arruina prácticamente la mitad del juego, que es la parte de Abby. En mi opinión, esta parte se alarga demasiado e innecesariamente. Pero sin duda, si esta parte se hubiese resumida a 1 hora o 45 minutos, estaríamos hablando de uno de los mejores juegos de la historia. Recibe mucho hate, aparte de por lo que ya sabemos de la intolerancia, porque es un juego que invita a pensar más de lo que estamos acostumbrados, y a mira más allá de nuestra conveniencia. Quizás no consigue que el jugador empatice 100% con Abby, porque mató a Joel, y por lo que ya he dicho antes. Pero a nivel gráfico y de animaciones, detalles etc. es un 10/10 indudablemente. La historia puede tener algunas lagunas, pero no es tan mala como nos quieren pintar. Tiene momentos muy duros como la muerte de Joel (o de casi todos los personajes xdd), pero el tener tantas muertes es la representación de la atmósfera de negatividad que crea el juego. Esa sensación de que todo sale mal, de que ya no hay razones para seguir viviendo... escalofriante. Le bajo 3 puntos porque las partes de Abby son muy aburrridas y su historia no tiene mucho sentido, además de que es un personaje muy poco carismático. También le bajo nota porque tiene personajes muy olvidables y poco trascendentales en la historia. Pero ya digo, si este juego durase 15 horas y solo se mostrasen las partes de Ellie, sería uno de los mejores de la historia. Es un juego que se autodestruye a si mismo en segundos.… Expand

I suggest playing this game with an open-mind, that way one can truly appreciate how complex and brilliant the narrative of the last of us part 2 is.

    Even if you have already read the leaks or spoilers and come to hate the story, I recommend that you give this game a shot. The last of us part 2 offers so much more than the leaks. Don't blame the game for its decisive moments, it'll use your hate and confusion to drives its narrative themes. The ending is sad and grim but also uplifting in a way. If you have been following the relationship between joel and ellie through the flashbacks and ellie's journal, you'll love the ending.     He died the way someone would die in a world without laws and where food is scarce and revenge abounds.
    he died horribly just as the innocent people he killed died.
    and in the end I don't kill abby because if I did I would never be at peace. the circle would restart and the children and the people who loved abby would take revenge and it would never end, ellie was tired and she let herself go with the anger.    … Expand

    Gameplay out-dated, story ruined and doesn’t make me want to invest time in the new character’s. Find myself just wanting to get it over with as it’s getting boring.

    I’ve given it a three as the graphics and sounds are amazing. Ignore the critic reviews they are absolutely trash and not worth reading. Give it a month or two and you’ll be able to pick this up second hand.

Deserves 10 in many aspects, but for me in a game focused in narrative story the score is at least half of importance. For me who loved Part I and consider 1 of 3 games of my life.     I love the story and the gameplay. Finally the game that's showing the other half of the coin as well, there isn't any good in doing a wrong things... Sometimes it's hard to understand some of the characters decisions but I can only imagine how mentally unstable some of them really are because of this cruel world that they must face everyday.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. felt like i did everything for nothing and then the parts i hated the most is when transitioned to Abby, started feeling like she was the main character when you have to go and fight Ellie i really wanted to enjoy this game and i do graphic, audio, immersion, and mechanic wise. but i really didn't like Abby and being forced to play as her for around 10 hours was just not a good move the story was kind of all over the place i can happily say that the flashbacks with Joel were my favorite parts of the game. just wish we had more Joel and Ellie time but he was killed right off the bat. i don't see nothing wrong with Ellie being in a gay couple i actually was very happy for her i bring this up because i see a lot of people saying the bad reviews are because of the lesbian couple but no its not. letting Abby just get away was really disappointing at this point in the game i just wanted to kill her and get over it but instead Ellie lets her go, Ellie suffered nothing but losses in this game first she loses Joel then she loses Jesse almost loses Tommy loses to Abby in the first fight which you are forced to play as Abby, and at the end you lose two fingers too Abby and let her go it wouldn't be good or satisfying either because you faught her when she was really weak but that doesn't happen

    instead you basically chase after her through Seattle then get beat you leave home you end up chasing her again and you find her hanged up just waiting to die which would've happened if Ellie never went after her again Abby would've died with lev but nope Ellie follows her tracks all the there to cut her down almost kill her and then just let her go, she left her newborn baby and girlfriend behind to go save the main person who killed Joel just a waste of time and a whole bunch of buildup making you believe you would kill her but then you just free her and let her go.

    Then you return home and Dina is gone and now you cant play guitar. The trailers were really misinforming i don't mean it as in trailers should tell you the story but as in the first trailer she says she will kill every last one of them but in the game every one dies except for the one who fully tortured and killed Joel right in front of her face i just don't really get it came in with really high expectations because of how good the first game was and ended feeling confused just a whole lot of mixed feelings i really hope they learn from this and improve the next game if there even is going to be one. i give it a 4 out of 10 because of the simple fact that the graphics were amazing and the mechanics were really good and easy to learn. EDIT: I've changed my rating to 8 out of 10 for the fact that they at least tried something new it might've not worked but they tried it.    … Expand

    Il gameplay risulta più vario, con un combat system corpo a corpo molto più appagante, anche lo shooting risulta molto migliorato. Il mondo di gioco è ampio ed estremamente immersivo, una gioia per gli occhi, grafica e cura per i particolari al limite del maniacale.     The game improves upon every aspect of its predecessor - graphics are more realistic, sound design is memorable, gameplay is more dynamic and the story hits emotional heights rivalled by very few games. An absolute masterpiece that not only does the original game justice, but it also elevates it as part of a bigger, bolder picture.

    I finished The Last of Us 1 feeling like Joel had doomed humanity and was selfish, so the death of Joel did not surprise me, though it happening at the start of the game was a shock. However, what better would there be to ignite a story of revenge than killing a (controversially) beloved character right off the bat?

    My playthrough of this game was completely untainted by spoilers, and so when I discovered that you play things from Abby's perspective I was really impressed (it also explains why you play as her at the start).
    In my opinion, Abby had every right to go after Joel after what he did. Abby left Ellie and Tommy alive but Ellie had to go for revenge. Ellie killed hundreds of people to get to Abby, and Team Ellie managed to kill all of Abbys friends, including her ex lover. Ellie was in the wrong, but you don't realise it until it all unfolds in Abbys half of the game.

    Essentially this story shows you everyone being as bad as each other. You become invested in Ellies tribe at the start and have no empathy for anyone else. But when you are forced to become part of Abbys tribe and see things from her perspective, you begin to hate Ellies tribe instead and it's then that you realise what it is the writers are trying to communicate.

    I admit there are some minor plot holes and ridiculous decisions made by some characters, but I understand that these are there to set up crucial story moments, and can be mostly forgiven.

    The story is complex and it is hard to summarise well whilst doing it justice in a short review, but I implore you to ignore the review bombing circle jerk and give this game a go. It is excellent and the best of its kind.    … Expand

    Sadly, with the sequel, that uniques fades quickly. In my mind, the story could have taken a completely different direction form the moment Joel saved Abby or the flashbacks that indicated Ellie's itch to learn the truth and the friction Joel and Ellie had. Instead of chasing those story lines which would actually be a continuation of that uniqueness established in part 1, we are thrown into a revenge story that came from a retconned character in a very obvious and forced way. Now don't get me wrong, revenge stories are very compelling but the story ND told with Part 2 is no longer unique to Joel and Ellie. It is a story that could have easily had some other characters entirely and it would have had the same effect.

    Where the game particularly shines is in the world the tale is told in. My favourite parts of the game come from encounters in the semi-open world and the tension of encountering infected and other enemy factions. The gameplay is similar to the first one with a few refinements and additions which definitely make the experience better but nothing ground breaking.

    Abby's story felt like a different game to me that completely derailed the momentum Ellie's storyline was picking up.

    Overall, the game to me felt like a victim of the team's decision making bias which sent them on a journey of no return with a story we didn't want, need or deserved. At the same time, I will say this, you should play it and uncover the story for yourself. I think the game deserves your attention.

    The story is terrible. Poorly written characters with actions that feel very unnatural and forced. This is a story rife with political pandering and political ideology which is not inherently bad...but so very poorly handled here. A real fall in quality from the first game. I found the end to be deeply unsatisfying-it made the entire experience feel pointless.

    I must mention the blatantly misleading marketing before release which implied and inferred that certain characters are a much larger part of the plot than ended up being true.

    The Last of Us Part 2 is a brutal, vapid, overwrought experience offering no insights or lessons beyond "revenge is bad". But what did that lesson cost us? Everything.    … Expand

    I'm not saying every game has to be happy, and have happy ending or whatever. Telltales TWD, LIMBO, Shadow of the Colossus, Spec Ops: The Line... all of these games had tragic endings and a relatively sorrowful tone throughout. Yet why is the story of these games fantastic, whereas TLOU2 isn't so.
    The game uses cheap, artificial, manipulative story mechanics, instead of intelligent or thoughtful characterisation, to garner sympathy for Abby.
    For example when playing as Ellie, you are FORCED to:
    (1) kill dogs
    (2) murder screaming wailing people, whose loved ones mourn and cry in terror (making you feel bad about killing them)
    (3) murder a pregnant woman
    Whereas when you are playing as Abby, you are FORCED to
    (1) play and have fun with dogs
    (2) defend yourself against evil scary transphobic jungle people
    (3) save kids
    People who enjoy the story are confusing SKILFUL DIRECTION with CHEAP MANIPULATION. People seem to be forgetting the Abby is a fundamentally EVIL, IMMORAL character that doesn't deserve sympathy
    In Ellie's darkest moments, she:
    (1) attacks a woman who, aside from being involved in her fathers death, also further titilates and aggravates Ellie by saying Joel died like a little **** Reacting with rage and impetus, she beats the woman up with a metal pipe. However, Ellie is visibly traumatised and shaken by the event, she comes back and is clearly distressed and troubled
    (2) kills a woman who she later finds out is pregnant. When finding out, Ellie's hearing fades, she collapses and starts hyperventilating; clearly disturbed, remorseful and regretful
    In Abby's darkest moments, she:
    (1) shoots an old man in the knee, who just previously saved her life and was completely friendly and warm to her. She proceeds to take VISCERAL PLEASURE in beating him with a golf club, torturing him for so long that she eventually she grows exhausted and needs to remove her jumper. She delivers the killing blow right in front of a screaming girl who begs for his life
    (2) smashes a girls face, and upon finding out that the girl is pregnant, Abby takes immense PLEASURE AND SATISFACTION at the prospect of slitting her throat.
    Both girls enact their darkest moments under the impetus of revenge, but it is clear which character takes pleasure in the idea of inflicting pain. Once you understand this, any meaning the story holds completely withers away. TLOU2 is not a satisfying or entertaining story experience, nor is it a story that even needed to be told, given how many other movies, games, books, TV shows have conveyed the consequences of revenge theme better.

    Overall 16/30 = 5/10 - not even close to TLOU 10/10 rating and a completely underwhelming venture from Naughty Dog    … Expand

    Graphically is better obviously for the console gen difference, but some of the mechanics doesn't feels natural...

    I hope the future storytellers won't go in such derasctic directions with their IPs and it's a shame this was what we are stuck with for a "continuation" of Ellie and Joel's journey

    Just go watch the first 15 minutes on youtube and pretend that's how things are while remaining blissfully ignorant if you're that lucky. It's the only way you'll be happy with this steaming pile.

    so there is not much to say what no one knows,gameplay is just alright,visuals are amazing,but all these years waiting for a good conclusion to the story and they fill it with **** agenda games doesnt seem the same anymore im so dissapointed

    Disappointing. Needlessly bleak and the gameplay feels very last gen. If I didn't know how many years this game took I would've assumed it was a rushed sequel. As a follow up to one of the most critically acclaimed games on the last generation of consoles it falls very short. Save your money a wait for Ghosts of Tsushima instead.

Graficos y jugabilidad muy cuidada, aunque no mayor interaccion con el ambiente, pero esta segunda entrega es basicamente una cachetada en la cara de los amantes del primer titulo, y lleva a la muerte de un personaje tan querido de una manera tan amarga y llena de comodines argumentales ( coinsidencias), te vendieron jugar con Joel y resulta que todas esas palabrss magicas eran falsas ya que solo se controla unos minutos y luego la trama se vuelve sosa normal cuando solo logras conseguir shoke a la audiencia matando un personaje querido y no por medio de una historia bien construida. Me da miedo lo que pueda hacer Sony con sagas tan queridas como Jack and Daxter.… Expand

    Снизил бал за русскую озвучку, и за это всю пропоганду. А так игру ещё не купил, видел пол часа геймплея, и там уже было видно пропоганду, и как в первой части убогую озвучку. (возможно, это было как-то не правильно, ставить оценку за игру которой у тебя нет, но какая разница, если есть тупые люди, которые снижают за пропоганду до 0 баллов, это как-то не правильно. )Снизил бал за русскую озвучку, и за это всю пропоганду.     The graphics in these game are superb, and the gameplay is good, but what really ruins it is the story. I actually don't hate the new characters, even if you eventually are brought to do so by the game.     Este juego es una auténtica locura de inicio a fin. Le pongo un 9 porque es verdad que ciertas partes de la historia son conveniencias del guión y un final que deja un poco frío y que pierde algo de coherencia con el punto de inflexión en Ellie. Técnicamente es una bestialidad y lo mejor que he visto en la historia de los videojuegos.
