They take the characters they created within the first game and throw them to the side, and try to explain their story (which shouldnt happen in the first place you shouldnt need to explain your own story for yourself). They kill Joel within the first hour, and then you have to immediately play as his killer as well as multiple times throughout the story. Abby is completely unlikable as she was the one that killed a beloved character and the game devs attempt to humanize her in a complete failure. The game doesnt go above and beyond from the first game in terms of gameplay and it goes wayyyyy down in story.… Expand

    This game is fantastic. The gameplay is immersive the story about love, loss and revenge is perfectly told. It is so much fun. All the bad ratings are from people, that don't agree with some of Naughty Dogs decisions about the story and the way to tell it.

    É muito interessante a forma em que a história se desenvolve, a forma em que todos os "vilões" tem um peso e não são só pessoas aleatórias que querem fazer o mal por querer. gostei da mensagem (que o jogo faz questão de reforçar várias vezes), gostei dos detalhes, das reviravoltas, dos personagens e a maioria das coisas estão muito bem construídas. O jogo passa uma mistura de sentimentosÉ muito interessante a forma em que a história se desenvolve, a forma em que todos os "vilões" tem um peso e não são só pessoas aleatórias que querem fazer o mal por querer. gostei da mensagem (que o jogo faz questão de reforçar várias vezes), gostei dos detalhes, das reviravoltas, dos personagens e a maioria das coisas estão muito bem construídas.     What a Disservice to the first game , a really kick in the face to everyone who liked it, The story reads like it was written by a 15 year old tumblr account that was high af. Honestly the game play may be god himself and it still wouldn't be anywhere near a perfect 10/10 rating . Hence my rating as of now.

    Imo they managed to turn one of the greatest stories in gaming into a boring (but cringe inducing and gore-filled) and poorly written revenge romp with no subtlety. Be    Tldr; Amazing audio, gorgeous cinematics and a love for the prequel still didnt make up for dissapointing story choices, plotholes and character development/introductions that fell flat and minimally improved mechanics & AI

Be prepared - they're gonna beat you over the head with their message that "violence and revenge bad" but they're not doing it well. Actually struggled to finish it as opposed to the first where I could barely put it down for weeks even after my first playthrough.

    Felt nothing for Abbys crew and her story as by the time i got there I just didnt care, the build wasnt done anywhere near as well and the brutality of the world was well known.

    Even the parts as Ellie were just a lonesome grueling slog, making me feel even less for her as the story and good works in 1 were undone with plotholes and unbelievable actions.
    I now kinda regret saving her in the first - Not because of the lack of cure and everything that happened after, but purely because of who ND turned her into in the sequel.    … Expand

    Overall the world, the graphics are a 10/10. But the story, pacing and general boredom made this a tough slog to finish.

    Hard to recommend.

    Entendo as pessoas que não gostaram do jogo, mas pra mim foi uma experiência que nunca senti jogando vídeo game, se o Neil quis chocar de alguma forma com essa obra ele conseguiu, e felizmente esse tipo de experiência e sensações só é possível graças ao vídeo game.

    Is the best game of the year, obvously not like the first but is very interenting and wonderful how naughty show us. We wait for it 7 years and was a fantastic game. God job!!!!

Gráficamente es de lo mejor que he visto jamas. El problema es la historia, en un principio molesta la muerte Joel pero a la larga se entiende el por qué pero los hechos tan convenientes paraa que Abby se encontrará con Joel no me convence. El segundo problema y el mas grave es que te obligan a jugar con Abby mas de la mitad del juego, intentan que te encariñes con ella a la fuerza, digo okay esta bien entiendo sus motivos por el cual quería matar a Joel. Pero no era necesito extender tanto su historia con flashbacks a montones, de su relación amorosa y el trío con problemas que realmente no me interesa en lo mas mínimo para que al final no se sepa que fue de ella. Entiendo que ella terminó haciendo lo que Joel, traicióno a todos por proteger a alguien. Quiza si hubieran intercalado entre historias se hubiera hecho mas llevadero. Pero lamentablemente llega un momento en el que jugar con Abby bastante tiempo es molesto y pesado sin mencionar que las mejores secciones se las dieron a ella dejando a Ellie en un segundo plano demasiado marcado otro pequeño problema que no tiene nada que ver con homofobia es el tema forzado de las dudas y orientaciónes sexuales. Por ejemplo, hay una sección con Ellie en donde hay una calle con banderas LGBT y el pavimento pintado del mismo arcoiris y ¿realmente era necesario? Y en un local de esa misma calle hay un libro del poderío femenino ¿wtf?, sean mas discretos. El otro problema es la niña que se siente niño. ¿Really? , ese fue el personaje trans mas forzado que he visto jamas, solo faltaba que la hermana fuera bisexual. Repito no me molesta que tengan dudas de orientación, pero si que fuera TAN FORZADO. Es triste por que Naughty Dog se lave las manos diciéndole a sus fans homofobicos para justificar esta mala decisión que estoy seguro que saben que forzaron. En resumen, en juego es muy bueno, rejugable y disfrutable pero es cierto que pudo ser mejor si no lo hubieran querido hacer inclusivo y si la historia hubiera sido desarrollada de diferente manera menos pesada por la parte de Abby.… Expand

    Not sure what they were thinking. This is just terrible. Do not buy. I dont think I'll be buying their games anymore. I think the high Metacritic score for this game is due to certain reviewers getting paid off. Not sure how this game could be rated anywhere near 100.

    Gameplay is fun but does not outweight the negative side that was the butchering of a nice well built story from the first game.

I believe abbys story should’ve been its own game or dlc. The biggest Logic problem was the ease of Long distance travel compared with first game. Заслуженая оценка за политическую повестку, когда игры, должны быть наоборот, свободны от политики.Сюжет ШЕДЕВР. Переживал каждый момент.     Combat and move aspect is similar to the first game with few changes like jump mechanic and different arsenal, which is to say that it's not anything too special. Graphics are one of bigger improvements when it comes to the previous game, however I and some others have noticed visual bugs like weapons overlaying with one another or some objects like crates or cargo visuals not loading in cause you are too far away...but you are using a sniper any you can't even see those visuals with that if they are far away, resulting in you thinking you missed a shot but you actually hit an "invisible cargo" or something similar to it.
    Sountracks and sound effects are very well made and fit the atmosphere. That is one improvement compared to the first game that I can give with an ease.
    Enemies are also well designed. Humans call each other by name and are somewhat smart when it comes to scouting and trying to eliminate you. I also like the fact that there are many ways of taking an enemy out and visuals of that are very well made.
    Story wise is definitely not this games best side from my perspective. Characters in game felt like they were making irrational decisions or were doing an opposite of what they did before for no well given reason. Their designs are well made and you do end up caring for them (as long as they didn't do something to make you not care for them, which does happen for some). Which is a shame since for most of them when they are done with their part in the story, it doesn't leave you with any satisfaction. Like they were just there for the sake of being there, not contributing to the main story whatsoever.
    So short to say: Gameplay was ok, sound was awesome, graphics were improved, foes were alright, story was poor and so were the characters.    … Expand

Let's get it out of the way the story is not even close to the original with emotional impact and this is down to poorly written characters who make stupid decisions. But for someone who has been gaming since the 80s no games story has come close to the original for me personally so maybe my expectations were far too high in regards to how I wanted Joel's story to end. If you just look at the game on its graphics, sound, gameplay etc... its an amazing game that is a great send off to the ps4 console even if not to Joel and Ellie.… Expand

    The last of us part 2 is a solid sequel to the beloved Part 1 but lacking the catchy Story that made Part 1 one of the best Games in the previous gen. The last of us part 2 perfects each and every aspect of any game as Graphics,Sound System,Gameplay and Soundtracks, but unfortunately provides us with a story with no definite aim or reason as it shows how bad written it is.

    So far I've enjoyed my first 12 hours of this game alot, the world is beautiful, emersive and full of special touches if you take the time to search or even just notice them. The storytelling is compelling and keeps you invested. I've not experienced any bugs (for now) which is quite rare in today's AAA games at launch. The gun play is not fantastic but gets the job done. I would definitely recommend it to any PlayStation 4 owner who enjoyed the previous Last of Us game.

    Update: I have completed the game now. Though some of the narrative/story decisions did not land for me personally after the halfway point, it was still enjoyable enough to keep me hooked until the end.    … Expand

    Disgraceful, woke game. Zombie games don't need political agendas. It's just so much worse than the first game. The story is the most important thing and they absolutely butchered it. Such a shame.

Ultimately this is a game about two characters on opposing sides hitting rock bottom and embarking on a fool's revenge errand perpetuated by the blind hate they've acquired from losing the ones they've loved. How far is too far is the biggest theme explored, so try not be be attached to too many characters, because at some point the actions of the protagonists (or antagonists depending on your perspective) are going to bring darkness upon everyone. Abby and Ellie both hit absolute rock bottom in their revenge quests and the game really explores both both women ultimately ruined their lives seeking something they realistically could never achieve cleanly; justice.

    There's way too much nuance for me to get into detail, but this game requires you give a chance to see and understand both perspectives.    … Expand

    graphics and world: 10/10 this is the most beautiful game on the PS4 by far. its world is extremely detailed and full of letters, and notes detailing small tales and lore.

    story: 9/10 the story, while controversial, really worked for me. it made me think and most importantly feel for not just Ellie and Joel, but eventually, some characters who at the start I did not expect to feel for at all. I believe that the story will only really work if it manages to pull this off, and for me, it did. of course, there are some minor things I did not like throughout the story, but nothing that ruined the experience at all. the story is emotional and left me thinking about it for days.

    sound and music: 10/10 the soundtrack is absolutely amazing and works so well for the game, being unique to the sequel while keeping up with the overall themes of the series. the sound design is also very good, with gunshot sounds standing out to me as powerful blasts that disrupt everything and ring in the air afterwards.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part 2 is not a BAD game by any means, but its not AMAZING either. The game comes with it's fair share of issues, the first that i ran into was animation skipping or jumping (Game skips frames of animation during cutscenes or action that are taken like pushing open a door, hopping over cars or tables. the second issue i had when playing the game is with Melee and hand-to-hand combat, the camera freaks out and you lose control of the camera if you dodge while moving the right stick sometimes. the 3rd issue i ran into was texture glitches, parts of flowing water were Yellow when flowing and i frequently saw wall and fire textures glitching all over the place. thats pretty much it for issues based on what i saw. The Story was kinda Convoluted at times, for example why have Lev go to the Seraphites island to talk to his mother knowing full well what that outcome was gonna be, or why have Tommy be alive when he was clearly shot in the head (to me it looked like he got hit directly). but to end off this review, i would like to give this game a 6.5 to a 7 out of 10.… Expand

    This game is a perfect example of how you should not do sequels to the beloved franchises. It literally forces you to do what you might not want to (the second half of the game). I really tried to enjoy the gameplay and all those small details but I always kept in mind the plot of this game and it ruined everything for me.     a mecânica de esquivar por mais que falhe algumas vezes é muito boa, deitar no chão e se espremer entre paredes pra fugir de inimigos foi com certeza a melhor coisa que implementaram na gameplay. o arco agora está bem melhor de usar, já que no primeiro jogo eu achava ele uma grande merda. no jogo jogamos com duas personagens e elas tem grandes diferenças entre si, seja em personalidade até habilidades. enquanto Ellie é mais fraca e mais ágil, Abby é mais bruta e habilidosa com ferramentas. o enredo é bom mas com algumas falhas, jogamos com abby na maioria do jogo, oq não é ruim mas não me agradou tanto assim, por mais que ela seja uma personagem incrível.
    os flashbacks de ambas são bem marcantes e ajudam muito no desenvolvimento da história. falando em desenvolvimento, todos os personagens presentes são muito bem desenvolvidos, com destaque pra Abby, que é uma personagem 100% nova e muito bem desenvolvida. voltando a falar do enredo, a morte precosse de Joel acabou me agradando de certa forma, mas não gostei da forma que aconteceu. o jogo me deixou tenso, triste, puto e feliz diversas vezes e a muito tempo eu não sinto isso jogando alguma coisa. nos momentos tensos os sustos acabavam sendo praserosos e me davam ainda mais vontade de avançar. os meus combates foram bem rápidos em várias situações, joguei no modo moderado. os cenários são muito bem feitos e é extremamente divertido explora-los.
    agora podemos encontrar cofres e devemos explorar o cenário pra descobrir a senha, bem no estilo silent hill.
    nas cartas encontradas podemos entender varias coisas que aconteceram com os corpos e infectados encontrados e até entender como eles morreram. o jogo evoluiu muito em relação ao primeiro e eu gostei de jogar bem mais esse doq o anterior, por mais que eu ache a história do primeiro bem mais interessante. a gameplay não é cansativa e eu me diverti muito nas minhas 21 horas de gameplay.

    the story and gameplay instead was extremely redundant, and tedious, also clunky.
    Basically you go from open spaces fighting humans, you get forced by same pattern (falling floor, blocked path, fighting scene) to get indoor in dark close spooky place where you fight infected. and this repeat over and over again till the end.
    the game totally lacks of character. everything is based on revenge. Cut scene are too long and kills the vibes of the game, the game overall is also too long. they force you play with abby half of the game to make you understand her point of view. but still the story struggle to keep you up.
    Its clear that they lost the focu during the development, is basically an unfinished game with unclear identity and ideas.
    the first one had the strong motivation till the end but this one is empty and cold.

    First of all everyone say's the graphics are amazing whihc is true so let's just skip that and focus on something major the story. The stroy mainly takes places 4 years after the events of the first game, this time around we are mainly in the shoes of Ellie going through Seattle for majority of the game. The story focuses on revenge and it's a bloody/gory. The first half of the game is easily a 10/10 and focuses on Ellie however *spoiler warning* when you start to play as Abby that is where the story begins to fall apart, the first chapter as one of the worst character Abby is disgusting and terrible, i was so bored i almost fell asleep but oh boy was it worth getting past day 1 as her because day 2 as Abby was amazing. The story begins to pick up again and you get to spend more time with new characters such as Lev. The section as Abby does contain a disgusting sex scene which is gross as Abby looks like a guy however one past that it's fine. Day 3 as Abby is one of the best chapters as it contains a large scale battle that has so much gore it can make many people happy and the graphics really pick up at this point. Once you reach the end of the chapter the game forces you to do something you do not want to do but whatever. The game then takes a secodn to slow down and put's you back into Ellie's shoes for pretty much the rest of the game besides a short part. This ending portion is amazing as it takes a minute to slow down and give insight into how characters feel. The ending portion with final location is incredible and you get hyped up and ready HOWEVER they do fall short and the ending does not feel like a real ending it is just missing something. Overall the story is still fantastic and most revirews are from people who have not even played the game just watched it or were reading leaks before it came out even though most were fake.

    Next up a minor thing- the music while playing felt like it was lacking comparing it to last of us 1 but you do get to play the guitar at some parts and it is amazing to hear some music from Ellie and Joel.

    Next up gameplay- The gameplay in last of us part 2 is a massive step up, unlike Joel which was bash square (even though it was so fun and i love it) in Last of Us 2 Ellie can not do that so she uses her knife and a dodge mechanic. The gameplay is fun and the guns/ animations are satisfying however you think with a knife Ellie would have a quicker time to kill. The best part about gameplay is the climbing/ prone mechanics. These really add different ways to play the game for example you can sprint dive and quickly aim a gun or bow and don't get me started on the bow it is amazing.

    The game does contain minor bugs for example the noise when a enemy see's you keeps playing even if they don't see you and sometime Ellie won't do the animation straight away.

    While playing Last of Us 2 you can see the care and effort they put into the story, it may fall abit short at some moments, i have played hundreds of games and in every game i have ever played i never really cry however Last of us part 2 made me cry 5 times, the game is very emotionally draining.

    Wrap up- Overall most reviews are fake, the game may not be perfect but what game is? Overall the game only has two things i hate, Abby and the lack of music. I waited 7 years for this game and was it worth it? yes it was, it the game better than the first one? debatable, to me some parts are just way better and others are not. This game i still classify as a masterpiece just like number 1. For anyone who is sitting on teh fence wondering if it is worth playing, it 100% is.

    Those who finished the game understand that its inpossible to finish the game in one day, so the hate is based on Joel's death. Okay, its your right, but its not worth to punish the good game only because it did not meet your expectations.

    I love Naughty Dogs for all their games and TLOU 2 is absolutely must play.

    I finished game only on 2023, and it still better that a lot of fresh releases.

This guy could spot an ambush from a distance in the first game. Now, suddenly Joel and Tommy are stupid, even given away their details and where they live.
    Despite that, I think the game is still worth playing. The gameplay is one of the best from last gen. The animations are awesome as always, true Naughty Dog standard game.
    Naughty Dog will remain to be my favorite developer, but I cannot hide my disappointment in the story.    … Expand

    Great game! Play it for yourself. You can really see that so much time and effort was put into this title. Only a handful of games of this superior quality come out for each console generation. Do not skip this one! Most people writing reviews haven’t played the game and have only seen spoiler videos.

    Game play:
    The additional space it gives you to roam around and explore at times is both a boon and a detriment to itself. With (some of) the spaces as large as they are, it tends to mess with the pacing of the narrative (a bit more on this later) and can start to feel tiresome if you are the kind that likes to explore every nook and cranny in these kinds of games. Each space though, does feel unique and interesting enough to warrant exploration.

    The combat, again, is more of the same but the kills feel more brutal albeit a bit comical at times (death screams/dialogue). There are a few new weapons to play with later in the game that are fun alternatives to the usual but don't necessarily break the mold. There are also some new enemies. The new infected are a fine addition while the new human enemies do not necessarily bring much to the table in terms of surprises but do require paying attention. Neither one feels so different though, that you won't be able to take them on.

    The AI is more competent, generally speaking, this time around. Though there are some instances of the usual issues that were present in the previous title. To iterate, companions you have during certain parts are more useful than before. However, enemies seem to be oblivious to their presence at times as they stand or run out in the open which can break the immersion. On the flip side of that coin, enemies can at times feel a little too observant making stealth difficult (though this can be adjusted in options). If you are not playing through guns-blazing (or adjusting difficulty), you will likely find yourself waiting a lot for an opportunity to move that doesn't ever seem to present itself without resorting to just going full-on Rambo. Enemies in this installment also have better aim and at times can start to feel like you are going up against battalions of world-class marksmen with straight-from-the-factory weapons and not post-civilization groups of regular joes with scavenged/well-used ones.

    Accessibility options for those that need or want them are well done. There is also the inclusion of difficulty sliders for various aspects of game play (resources, player damage, enemy damage, and more) which allows you to tailor the game to how you want to play.

    Graphics:
    Visually, the game is beautifully crafted. All the minor details in textures, lighting, and level/character design make it feel alive and makes the photo mode a pleasant tool to play with. The animations are crisp and realistic. The facial animations specifically are extraordinary. It's what we've come to expect from a ND title for better or worse. Not much more to say here.

    Story:
    Again, avoiding spoilers so I won't be going into specifics. The overall narrative is where this game has issues. It is fine; its not great nor terrible though it does have moments of both. The pacing feels off and I wonder, going back to the world space, if it would have been better for it to have been more linear. There are areas in the game that (are supposed to) have a sense of urgency but having so much space to explore, you may find yourself getting easily sidetracked and it just doesn't end up feeling as urgent as it should. The introduction of some of the factions don't really add anything to the narrative and seem to serve only as a means for the player to have something to overcome until the next main story beat is reached. It would have been better for them to have been developed further.

    The narrative, generally feels a bit disjointed and all over the place due to over-reliance of flashbacks and the order of events end up messing with pacing and impact of the story overall. Writer's self-described intentions (commentary on violence) end up falling somewhat flat due to the structuring of the story and ironically, the game play itself. It perhaps would have been better served having more tension building and less combat. To elaborate, how is killing supposed to feel impactful when you do so much of it through out the game? It plays out like a Rambo film with regards to violence.

    However, with all of that being said, emotional beats were not completely lost (on me). The lighthearted moments were great and felt good to experience. They felt genuine, like the characters were real and were some of the best moments in the game for me. In the more disheartening or painful moments, I could easily empathize with them. It's a roller coaster of emotions, i've never felt that many emotions with a game, like to be happy, angry, mad, desperate, etc. The game is looking to put that feelings in your mind and it does it. Many people are complaining about what Abby did, but if you think deeply into her actions you should be able to understand her. That doesn't mean that i want her dead, i mean, i hate her even after the end, but i understand the character. On the other side, we all loved Joel, of course, he was an amazing character and his relationship with Ellie was the best plot i have ever seen on a videogame, but we also know that Joel was actually a monster, that killed a lot of innocent people in the past (he said Ellie in the first game that he has been on both sides of the coin, talking about hunters) and that also has practically condemned the humanity to the extinction by denying the cure for the virus (killing tons of innocent on the hospital btw). So, yes, we love Joel, but you can't tell he was a good person, maybe he even deserved worst that his death. This game IS NOT A DISNEY MOVIE, if you want fairy tales, happy endings, cute characters, man, go to disney plus and watch all that movies, maybe that's what you are looking for. This game is excellent in the way it is supposed to be.

    To finish this i have to say that the playability is amazing, it's so satisfying man. The graphics also are the best we've seen on ps4 and the music is perfect, like it was on the first game. So, this is a masterpiece, but not for everyone.    … Expand

    The original The Last of Us is a masterpiece. So I understand all the disappointment. They could have made some better decisions with the way the story unfolded. The multiplayer for the original was also a masterpiece. So it's a "hard act to follow"so to speak.     I can totally see what Naugthy Dog was going for with this one, they wanted the players to sympathize with the killer of Joel but unfortunately they completely failed here. Abby is a trash-tier character that nobody likes and no matter what nobody will ever sympathize with her. I get it that Joel is also an obsessive maniac but we understand why and what lead to that. We can sympathize with Joel even some of his realy horrible decisions and actions because it's a well developed character. Abby isn't. Abby is just **** horrible and she pretty much single handedly ruined the game.    … Expand

    There is only one The Last Of Us...

    Graphics are amazing, but graphics aren’t everything in a game, and just Like Diablo 3 was a major let down, last of us part 2 is also, so i will not preorder it if there is ever a third one, probably will just skip it, as they will surely just kill Ellie and let her remain rot in her own pi** and s**t or just not talk about the first 2 character that make the first game so great.

    This game was about Abby the Joel killer, and nothing about the first 2 characters that we loved so much.

    And why would i want to play the fu**in* character that kill one of the main protagonists... i just want Abby dead WTF...

    An incredable game! Meticulous detail and care when into crafting this world and it shows. Gameplay is incredbly engaging through and through and an incredable story to top it all off. A worthy successor to The Last Of Us! Cannot reccomend enough!

The jogability got better, with more resources, more stealth, and more challenging, like the dogs making this harder. The story made me get emotional some times. I just get annoyed with play so much with Abby, but after thinking about i got why she was important. The end made me get reflective, after finish i just thought a lot about it.… Expand

I'd say TLOU2 definitely takes over as best LOOKING game of this generation, beating out even the likes of God of War, Red Dead 2, and Gears 5. But where the game falters is in its story and character development. First off, a lot of sections of the earlier parts of the game feel unnecessary and pointless, used to just pad out the playtime of the game. That's okay in some parts, but others just make it too obvious. Also, some of the strange choices made by Joel and Elle during this game makes you question how the hell they survived this long? They definitely seemed to show better judgment in the first game when it comes to who to trust. Also, a lot of parts of the game where you are put in the shoes of our new characters, Abby, to show us events from a different perspective. She actually has some pretty interesting sections and is kind of fun to play as, but there are obvious reasons during the game that makes players apprehensive to playing as Abby for the rest of the game after a specific moment in the first few hours of the game. Also, Elle seems to be a lot less "likeable" this time around because of her interactions with Joel and her choices in later sections of the game, specifically the ending conflicts. But I'm not going to over explain, if I were rating on gameplay and graphics alone, it would be a 10/10. But story and characters acting somewhat out of character, definitely pulls it down. My overall score is 7.5/10… Expand

    If you base your opinion on the first half of the game, it's probably 10/10.
    The gameplay is insane. The acting is insane. The graphics are insane.
    Even while some people hate the fact that Joel is kiled the way he is, I think it makes sense at the end of the day. I hate it too, and I wish we could've had way more time with him.
    But considering we get heartbreaking flashbacks later in the game, it makes up for it.

    But when we reach a climax of the story halfway into the game, only to have it become a cliff-hanger for 10+ hours, as we play Joel's killer.. Boy does the game dip in quality.
    The fact that I'm supposed to care about this character is insulting.
    Spoiler alert, I didn't **** care. I was frustrated and bored.
    The gameplay tanked as a result as well. I didn't feel invested in what I was doing anymore, so why bother trying to survive? I didn't like this story, so why not just rush through it?

    In the last act of the game, as we go back to Ellie, the story does get pulled back to what's important and I found myself enjoying the game again. And while people hate the ending, I kind of liked it, because it did feel like closure.
    And while I hated playing as Abby and still hold on to that, it may have contributed to the fact I was okay with letting her go. Since Ellie did win the fight, and could've killed her right then and there.

    First part of the game: 10/10

    Third part of the game 8/10
    Overall: 7.5

    Gameplay: 9/10
    Graphics:10/10
    Acting:10/10

    But the story really suffered from Abby's segments, and it was an idiotic thing to force players to play.    … Expand

During my first go round in the back of my head I was constantly thinking about all the negatives ppl were saying about the game during the release and I found myself agreeing to them. When I played with Abby I didn't give her character a chance didn't enjoy it just ran thrive it and by the end of the game I really sympathized with her. If you want another Joel and Ellie adventure this isn't it his story was good was told in the first game. Go in with an open mind and enjoy it.… Expand

    Excellent! A notable hard work of 7 years in this game! Their story entertain me a lot. I hope Naughty Dog still doing games with this quality and passion.

    Just dropping a 10 here to help counter the hate/bomb reviews. Despite not being perfect the game definetly deserves a better user score. At least about 6 or 7 out of 10.

    Outstanding visuals and animations with immersive apocalyptic scenarios of nature taking human civilization.     Great gameplay and great story. The graphics are amazing and this is one of the best looking games I've ever seen. There are a lot of people out there just review bombing it just to make sure it gets a bad score. My opinion is if you really liked the original then give this a try for yourself don't listen to others as we all have different opinions.     I think the game unfortunately highlights the worst in people, not because of the game itself but because of bigoted responses. Reading some responses including on Google, It left me almost in tears to think how much hate is out there. The game is a 10. Thanks naughty dog
