    game is very good, story is hard, and doesn't meet players expectations, hence the reviews bombing.
    that's like have an avengers/family movie sequel become mature, hard and intellectual suddenly.

    Beautiful and deep, it’s definitely a masterpiece. You think you reached the end but the game keeps going and going... I loved how the story was told.

    Haters are destroying the fun to play lots of games. They are ruining the hard work of good people. TLOUS2 is a work of art, fantastic graphics, great story, world and pace! Phenomenal work from Naughty Dog. Thank you very much for allowing us to experience this work of art.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First 15 hours were great and seemed to justify killing Joel as it was folding out into a great story.
    Playing as Abby changed that though. I felt forced to like her and feel sorry for her which I just didn't. I didn't care about anything that happened to her because Ellie is the character I, and everybody else, was connected to and the reason this game was purchased.
    To make matters worse you then want me to play as Abby and try to kill Ellie?? I let Ellie kill me and it claimed I failed the mission even though that's what I wanted to happen! I thought the ending may make it all worthwhile but it didn't. Abby was let free by Ellie, Dina left her and Ellie lost fingers in the process! It made me incredibly sad and angry that Joel was killed off for such a poor story and for no reason at the end.
    If Joel REALLY had to die, I would have preferred it to be via a bite and Ellie has to search for a new doctor to make the cure and sacrifice herself to save Joel from becoming infected OR kill Joel herself.    … Expand

    I loved this game so freaking much! Honestly, I was not expecting such an interesting story and amazing plots... TLOU2 was a surprise for me, and I had a great time knowing the new characters and playing with Abby.

    Seriously, don't mind with the haters, they're just a bunch of weebs. TLOU2 is a masterpiece, such as the first game was.

    I gotta say... it's a really good game, but the 2nd half drags a lot. It picks up by the ending sections of the game but the actual ending it's what limits this game from being brilliant. You really have to process what happens at the end.

Высокий уровень сложности вообще не почувствовал, тип это предпоследний по сложности вариант и он не вызвал никаких проблем в прохождении, как-то легко. По сюжету даже хз, когда ты уже думаешь, что вот концовочка и тебе дают еще 40%, от всего времени прохождения, бегать за перекаченную бабу. Блять, каждую секунду за нее ждал, когда ее уже ебнут. И вот, казалось бы, конец все Элли с Диной живет счастливо, Эбби с индейцем ебаным. Но нет, надо было все обосрать окончательно, а то сюжет в центре которого тупо месть, не очень смотрится(думали разрабы). Из неожиданных поворотов сюжета, только 2 момента, когда Эбби 2 раз в театре могла ебнуть Элли и Дину, и когда Элли, в конце, могла ебнуть Эбби. Играют в милосердие в мире наполненным насилием, пиздец. Мало того, что Элли не добила ее, она еще и Дину проебала, с Томми поссорилась, бросила Джексон, проебала 2 пальца и в итоге осталась в одиночестве. 0 друзей, 0 смысла жизни и без дома. Ебал я в рот такие концовки, это слишком мрачно. Вместо лишних часов геймплея за Эбби, лучше бы добавили пару миссий в конце, после возвращения Элли из Санта-Барбары, в которых она бы пыталась найти и восстановить отношения с Диной. Такая концовка была бы лучше. Сюжет 6/10. Если лет через 10 появится желание пройти старые игры и я вспомню о серии the last of us, про 2 часть даже думать не буду.… Expand

    A game written by a professional victim trying to blame the haTeRs for every grain of criticism it gets. Don't even bother, the writing is patchy, uninteresting and game segments feel disconnected from one another. Useless characters get introduced for the sole purpose of dying on camera. Hell, even the main characters stop caring about them as soon as they push the lifeless bodies ofA game written by a professional victim trying to blame the haTeRs for every grain of criticism it gets. The graphics is current gen, animations are cool enough for the first 5-10 times they play. The gameplay didn't change since the first game btw so it's functional. Not inspired or breathtaking but functional. The whole narrative of people hating the game because they are some sort of phobic just brings us to the first point. By all means, put whoever you want in your game but it's is just plain boring, simple as that. Whatever, we're all incels in Neil's book lol

    It's been a few days since I finished the game and I still think about it a lot.
    This game really provokes thinking about humanity, life, empathy, hatred, and love.
    I am not a fan of "just games" where you brainlessly kill stuff or even sports game or puzzle games. I need games with a story, characters, character development and world building. And TLOU2 has it all! I am not mad about    It's been a few days since I finished the game and I still think about it a lot.

    I am sorry for all the people who are mad now because some idiot leaked the story, and so people didn't have the context or experience of the game as it should have been, and those people go around leaving negative reviews everywhere now... it's sad, but that doesn't make this game worse. Each character including the dogs in the game are memorable, no one feels like a side character. The insane attention to enemy AI, combat,Last of us part 2 is as revolutionary as Metal Gear Solid 1. Coming to the controversial topic - the story, Naughty Dog has made a perfect example of the flawed nature of humans, not only in a video game, but in real life too, just as you can see some people unnecessarily hating a game for its unconventional plot. And soundtrack - EA could have charged 60 usd extra for including a playable guitar in their 60 usd videogame featuring a 60 usd expansion and 60 usd microtransactions... uff!!!… Expand

    The game is not great, not terrible. It is still a good game.
    Graphic - really amazing
    Gameplay - feels annoying the more you play
    Story - beginning was great, middle is quite good, later on feels cheesy and unpolished

The fact I had to play half the game as someone I spent the first half hunting down and then in the final battle you make me play as the bad guy trying to kill the person I spent two games knowing was stupid. Couldn’t get through the ending fast enough so I could never play this again. As a lover of the first game and all the Uncharted games... Naughty Dog really screwed up this time.… Expand

Ellie - from tlou - who should’ve been killed by a doctor to create a vaccine to a parasite fungus that is devastating the world transforming people in monsters, but saved by a smuggler named Joel. The other is Abby, daughter of the doctor in charge to kill Ellie to create the vaccine. the game creates a parallel where Ellie has her emotional “shield”, and is no able of empathy even towards the people she thinks she loves. Her antagonist has a physical “shield” developing the muscles of her body to a man likes. during your play through the story will oppose one girl to an other - putting the player in the shoes of both - in the pursuit of the ravage. At the end Ellie will be emotionally devastated and her antagonist physically consumed, both victims of blind hate.

Could have easily been the greatest game of all time but seemed to stumble under the weight of its ham-fisted political messaging.     The environment art, the combat, the exploration, the immersion... They're **** amazing. I haven't been this happy with a Playstation exclusive game, ever. This is Naughty Dog's best work to date, and it's an amazing experience for anyone who's a fan of 3rd person narrative adventure games.     I've always had a soft spot for intricate, and thoughtful environments in games. I love getting lost in artificial worlds. I love exploring and immersing myself in games like Tlou2. It makes me want to try 3d art myself.

    Anyone that gives this game a negative review is not being honest or fair. To weight the objective quality of an artwork like this game, and ignore everything it does well; everything it does better than any other work of art before it, is silly and stupid.    … Expand

    Este es un juego que no dejará a nadie indiferente. En el apartado gráfico es una bestialidad, creo que nadie puede estar en desacuerdo. El problema no es ese, sino que en este juego lo importante es la historia. Un juego con tanta carga emocional no puede terminar así con una historia tan floja. No se llega a simpatizar con Abby y su parte de juego sobra por completo.

    Takes me back to Death Stranding. Imagine being so weak and whiny that you wake day in day out feeling rustled by the existence of 1 game. That is the sad state of review bomb mob culture and grown 'men'. so tough! quite pathetic. The notion of My time, my money, my choice of games/food/movie/clothes etc doesn't compute for some. it drives them insane that there are people who likeTakes me back to Death Stranding. The notion of My time, my money, my choice of games/food/movie/clothes etc doesn't compute for some. it drives them insane that there are people who like something they don't like. so they flood and skew review sites thinking it will actually do something LOL.     The nerve of Naughty Dog, making Ellie into a non cookie cutter character.

    The negative reviews could also have something to do with what happens to Joel.

Story is **** m, a revenge plot where in the ending, you don't revenge. Ending horse****, Abby is unlikable. Joel was done dirty in this game, and writing made me laugh out loud a couple of times. It’s a technical, visual, and most importantly storytelling masterpiece presented in a once in a lifetime way. People aren’t being open-minded enough and aren’t getting the message, only jumping on the bandwagon of hate like mindless sheep. Sad really, because this isn’t a “lazy cashgrab”, this is a quality game from a quality studio through and through. I understand why some people might dislike it but my only issue with it would be is pacing sometimes. I think ND did a phenomenal job in showing us both perspectives and as a matter of fact, Abby is my favorite character! The duality of Abby and Ellie, the overall arching message (although not new in on itself but is presented in a masterful way). This is a must play, and a 9.7/10 from me.… Expand

    The gameplay is fine however the story disregards the last game. It really feels like aside from character names we were playing an unrelated story because the characters were different and not so much time has passed that this would make sense. The game is also to long. It should have ended sooner than it did.

The animations, the AI, the realism, the way the enemies cry out the names of their fallen friends. If you want a technical showcase, a next gen experience this gen, this game is legit.

    The level of customisation on this console game rivals even a PC game be it visual things, or accessibility things, really excellent. You can even enable a 'journalism mode', slow-mo aiming, or being invisible when crouched, etc, making it possible to be done with the game in 20 hours, probably.

    With these things being said, if any game deserved a fair shot, it’s going to be this one isn’t it? All those Naughty Dog developers working overtime, the dreaded crunch culture we hear YouTube videos tell us about. Just all the crap that led up to the launch. It’s a big unfortunate chain of events for everybody, and nobody wins. That said, this review is for the game, not about Naughty Dog's reaction, leakers or people who talk about leakers, so that's all on that.

    I don’t think this is quite a 10/10 game, but any criticism is aimed at things like its ‘gameplay’ choices, some of its pacing beats, and a few elements in this massive story I didn't gel with.

    To be clear, I don’t have a problem with the overall story itself, but parts of it were daft. It's epic, it's crazy, it has unexpected turns, it's bound to not all jive for everybody. Some people won't like all of it, others will. Some people will like parts of it, but is the game worth experiencing to decide for yourself? Of course it is.

    I could empathise with decisions made by a lot of the characters, & equally feel disappointed in them. There's no 'one' villain or hero in all of this, it's a complex story about the circle of violence and it's a broken brutal world.

    What I had some issue with was some of its pacing. Not that it's a 'long' game, but we do have stretches of walking and talking, interspersed with encounters. It's a hard balance, but at times I felt I was exploring a huge beautiful world & waiting for the next big encounter or thing to happen. If you're going in for a bright father & daughter exploration story who like to go hunting or spending time watching movies, then you're really going to hate this, as it's only some of that.

    A few other notes while playing:

    It's a mostly linear Naughty Dog game. That means the game can move you on its path if you trigger it, & not possible to turn back to check over an area you know you didn’t explore yet. This is a little frustrating as can put reliance on chapter restart, etc

    There's a theme of pregnancy in the game which I thought didn't work, but won't elaborate more because spoilers.

    I didn’t buy Ellie’s connection with Dina (from the trailers) because not enough back story for me. They didn't seem to have chemistry, or was basically Dina making sex faces at Ellie a lot of the time.

    I'm not a fan of having to hold the touch pad button to open the map or having to hold any button to do many basic things, opening doors, etc, but that is what it is, and it's a thing in many games. At least there wasn't as much tapping of buttons this time out.

    I had to restart checkpoint a couple of times from getting stuck in a spot you can’t move from. Which goes to show, as much as you want to delay and polish a game you’ll never make it absolutely 100% full proof, which is understandable. This game is still incredibly polished.

    I dislike how long it takes to patch yourself up for most of the game (bandages) although the upgrade addresses this of course.

    The game is a really dark game in spots, though this can be tweaked in visual settings, but it's still pretty dark.

    Having to keep finger on L1 the whole game whenever you want to run, although didn't heck if there is a toggle to run (there probably is).

    It’s an interesting dynamic having to collect coins and cards collectibles amidst some atrocities occurring. I found it a little amusing after a point anyway.

    The combat is excellent, I really enjoyed it, and the AI was mostly great on the balanced moderate setting. I am scared how nuts it would get on survivor difficulty, and will give it a shot at some point. There's a lot to discuss on combat, animations and AI alone, but should be experienced.

    I'm glad I played the game thoroughly & think a lot of people would be into it from a technical and gameplay standpoint - 8/10.    … Expand

    Naughty Dog and Sony have done it again and created a true masterpiece of a game. We should count ourselves very lucky to have companies like Naughty Dog and Sony. I can't wait to see what they cook up next for the PS5 but I'm sure its going to be groundbreaking again.

    A historia é incrível, diria eu quase perfeita, se não fosse pela parte do meio, que na minha opinião é um pouco longa e enrolada demais, fora isso não tenho nada para reclamar, o gráficos são incrível, as animações são impecáveis e a jogabilidade é muito boa de se jogar.     Probably the best game of ND and one of the best game of this generation. PS4 is a must for every single lover of this industry, stop hating. Some choices in this game are really though to accept: this is it's beauty. World it's not black or white, it's grey often. A masterpiece, from start till end

    A game should be judged after considering all the points about it..Story, graphics , audio, acting, lore , world building, immersion ,and most importantly GAMEPLAY...and according to me TLOUP2 succeeds so much in immersion and gameplay that people who are judging it solely on basis of story (although I find it good) should be ashamed

    I also really don't understand the hate that the mid game character switch caused alot of people. I for one was so glad they explored Abby so much. Showing visually and horrifically the realization that everyone lives in their own vacuum of experiences and view them through their own lens and vengeance while powerful, ultimately causes nothing but a cyclical pain. Brilliant work. And Im not even mentioning how incredibly well done the stealth and combat was or the expert sound design work.

    Great work and the divisiveness was welcome. I'll take a narrative that challenges my emotions over an "epic" revenge plot any day.    … Expand

    Героев просрали, стелс унылый,боевка унылая, только графика радует, но на графике одной не уедешь.

    However, there are two areas that kill the experience. The linear ‘no choice’ gameplay. You don’t make any moral choices, nothing impacts outcomes. Whatever you do has no effect on the story or whichever character you are playing. This game deserves to be an open world epic in the style of the Witcher. If you wanted to make people think about actions and consequences you should have been able to make moralistic choices and seen a variety of outcomes. Ideally, you should have been able to play as a variety of characters in a big open world and seen how their stories intertwined with multiple endings that are created by your choices. Instead we are bludgeoned over the head with a needlessly nihilistic story that allows the player only to react to choices made by the designer.

    The representation with the game is a bold choice but poorly handled. It feels like a checklist of minority groups and therefore tokenism. The violence and sexual scenes add nothing but provocation to less open minded people and they devalue the experience as a whole. Overall, it’s a AAA game with mechanics from 2014 and a storyline that gives players no choice but to be preached at rather than organically evolve their own morality. In short it’s a $15 one time experience.    … Expand

In Russia, games for the PlayStation 4 cost quite impressive money and therefore not everyone is ready to immediately run to the store and get a copy of the game, so some individuals like me start to “play” it on YouTube, so, just in case, suddenly it's worth spending your own money on **** From the first hours of the game, I saw just a giant leap in terms of gameplay and staging cutscenes, I just fell in love with new game mechanics, improved stealth, the beauty of locations, even the plot of the plot (the first time is a **** story about another revenge, hello Assassins Creed, it really worked and I wanted to break the ass for all those bastards who had filled up the character of this game that was loved by the whole world) and I was already determined to buy this “masterpiece” of the gaming industry, but ... well, because of my excessive curiosity I decided continue to “play” it on YouTube until you have extra money in your pocket and all my previously acquired impressions have come inevitably! That is, in the opinion of a good game designer, when a person spends 10-15 hours of playing time “disclosing”, improving and linking to a character, he needs to take all this away and give control to a completely uninteresting character, to whom a normal person should hate ( otherwise your storyline doesn’t work) and go split up an uninteresting group of fanatics (decide personal affairs, so to speak)? Are you serious, didn’t anyone tell you that this should not be done? You kill a nice character, only to let his child be raised by two strong and independent women on the ranch, you shoot Tommy’s head only so that he later appears in the frame as a one-eyed pirate of the seven seas and starts your vaunted “chain of violence” again in order to stretch the game for several more hours and so that in the end, at the end of the game, people have only emptiness in their hearts. Your promise and your bold decisions, Mr. Neal, destroyed all the labors of those people who gave all their physical and moral strength to create this game. It was an investment in the abyss. Evaluation of the press does not cost anything, you forgot that the games are created for the players, that's the result. I put 8 points for gameplay (-1 for tightness, -1 for large but empty locations), and for everything else I put "play it yourself Neil Druckmann."     A technical marvel, simply gorgeous. I enjoyed the story, could've been a bit shorter. Didn't change the mechanics of the first game too much, a little more would've been better.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
