    Sorry Naughty Dog, we're done. I was here for Joel and Ellie's story - not some random side characters noone gives an ef about. I can't believe you had Joel go out like a dog. Disgusting.

    Im embarrased for professional critics that give this game a 10/10. How can this game sit amongst the highest rated games of all time. Sure the graphics are great but the game play is repetitive and boring, it does little to innovate from the original. The story is utter garbage and leans on shock factor to mask the lack of engaging story telling. A real dissapointment.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I should've listened to my friend. Not even a fifth of the way in, my hero from the first game is killed... and in a undeserving way. What the heck Naughty Dog. So after forcing myself to play with an upset stomach, I found myself enjoying the scenery more than the story. That is the only reason this story got a 1. I couldn't pay attention and felt forced to play as a character I had no interest in at all... and had to sit through that nauseating gay scene. (I dont care about gay people, they can do what they want, but I find it disturbing to see any sensual acts from my gender)
    Finally, after all the bull revenge I was about to put Abby through...NOP. She bites my fingers off, and we go our separate ways. The En. Can't even play my guitar anymore. ... WHY WOULDNT YOU LET ME KILL THAT EBIL WOMAN!? Thanks for ruining TLOU Naighty Dog. Whoever wrote the story needs to find a new job.

My biggest issue with the story is that the characters get thrown around and are inconsistent. At one point a character would be a significant part of the story, but then be completely forgotten about for pretty much the rest of the game. Character relationships feel unrealistic considering we would just meet certain characters and immediately the characters of the story would care or simply trust each other all of the sudden. This is a consistent problem throughout the entire game. The romantic relationships in the game feel unrealistic. An example of this is during the beginning of the game where the player meets Dina for the first time. We literally go from having a snowball fight, to killing zombies, to smoking weed and having sex. Ellie and Dina literally hooked up the night before, and now all the sudden they have this complexed romantic relationship? Not even the notes in Ellie’s journal reveals any chemistry between the two. They were simply friends, but I digress. Honestly though if your gonna have complexed character relationships show it in gameplay or cutscenes including flashbacks. Don’t just write some lazy expedition in notes and don’t assume that the player assumes the characters have had previous chemistry. The game also has way to much plot armor. Basically this story’s events and why certain characters live or die can be summed up as a giant coincidence. The biggest example of this in my opinion is when Ellie is captured by the WLF for the first time during her revenge quest. She’s tied up by a WLF member who then holds knife to her neck. Another WLF member intervenes, that person then try’s to kill Ellie, the previous WLF member intervenes Saying they should interrogate Her instead, the other character insists that they kill Ellie, they then put a gun to her head to kill her, Dina shows up killing one of the enemy’s through the skylight, she gets shot down by the still living WLF member hitting the ground hard and temporary disabling her, instead of shooting Dina the WLF member decides to strangle her, Ellie then picks up a piece of glass from the broken skylight to cut her restraints, She then stabs and kills the WLF member Saving herself and Dina. I don’t mind a little plot armor, but there’s so much of it in this game that it breaks the immersion. The set pieces are cool at least. The last level of the game (all though fun to play) felt extremely rushed story wise. We are literally introduced to a new faction called the “Ratlers” and given no time to develop them. It honestly feels like the last part was just padding. The game is very long in general literally jumping back in time when the story is about to reach its peak and seemingly concluded to tell what I feel is a completely unrelated story from the previous. I’m referring to Abbys story. We go from a revenge quest to avenge Joel as Ellie, to saving the people from the enemy faction “Seraphites” Because they had resented the faction, to building a relationship with said people (Mainly Lev) causing a faction war between The WLF and the Seraphites as Abby. Both of which are 10 hours long. You can literally make two games out of this, but I digress. Finally we have reached the end and to be honest it sucked. Not only because Abby lived, but because Ellie never found out why Abby kille Joel. We the player know, but Ellie doesn’t. So I’m sitting there thinking why on earth did Ellie not kill Abby. It felt like the developers forgot or overlooked that Ellie doesn’t know What Abbys intentions were and that all she knows is that Abby killed Joel and that she was going to kill her. So basically Ellie traveled for months, wiped out nearly two factions worth of people single handily, only to let the Person who killed Joel (who was basically a dad to Ellie) live? I don’t buy it. Overall the gameplay was really fun, but I just could get into the story. Expand

We get Abbie the Gamestop ma'am, the most unlikeable character imaginable who we're forced to play as, she also gets a sex scene, which was made with motion capture, i can only imagine how hard Neil was coming up with it considering the fact the character of Owen looks suspiciously similar to him. The gameplay wise it's unimpressive, boring and tedious. Also as for the critics and journalists praising the game, let's be honest, they're either paid or as much of a shills as every fanboy. But hey, praise them when their opinion agrees with yours so you are happy for now, but take dump on them when they praise things you don't like. Just like every time they say something positive about things like Call of Duty.

Yeah this game killed off Joel like he wasn't the main protagonist of the last game but people need to really look at this game for what it is. It teaches that revenge is a fool's game and gets anyone involved nowhere. Hiya!
    I know that some people may come to here to find out if the game is worth playing. And to see most of it just be review bombing may be disappointed. So if you're looking to find out, go ahead and give mine a read.

    I'll make it very clear that i HAVE NOT PLAYED IT. However, i know what i've seen from the leaks from before release, and these are my first impressions on the game, what it does, and if it's worth it.

    To put it short- no. I don't think it is. But, why? Well, let me explain.

    I can't speak for the story of the first one- but i get the vibe that it was generally unforgiving, yet held some positive themes, mainly Joel and Ellie's relationship, having someone to care about and protect in a situation like that. At the end of the day, it was unforgiving, but seemed like it had some feel good parts.

    2 doesn't have any of that. But that substance isn't placed anywhere else, either. Any enjoyment or any proper theming seems completely lost, in favor of a thin veil of progressiveness that barely, if at all, covers the fact that this game exists for nothing but to revel in the same gratuitous violence that the rest of the industry does, whilst also getting to insult their players.

    I'm not usually the Anti-SJW kind- in fact, i'm typically the complete opposite, I'm INCREDIBLY liberal, in fact. However, that just means that i can tell you for a god damned fact that there isn't a message or a theme here. It's violence. Violence and pain without end- that's what this game exists for. If it was about teaching the impacts of violence, and involved some kind of conscience, it could have easily gone the route of, say, Undertale- giving you the option to do the right thing and rewarding you for not being a violent and murderous lil **** Rewarding you for doing the right thing is infinitely better than punishing you for NOT doing so- yet TLOU2 does only the latter.

    It had any number of ways to confront this issue, and yet chose only the most basic and effortless way to do so, almost as if they had no care for the issue they were portraying. Which is exactly the truth.

    On the progressive front, i've heard people- like Rich, of ReviewtechUSA- complimenting the game's inclusivity. When frankly, that couldn't be further from the truth. Naughty Dog was clearly so blindsided by the money that they could have been making, that they literally ballsed up the entire operation. You wanna know how? They wanted to give the game some kind of trans inclusivity. How did they do that? By making ALL the women ugly, so that the trans women could see themselves fitting in there. I- Uh, Naughty Dog, coming from a trans person, do you realise by doing that you're just calling ALL trans people ugly? You know, the exact opposite of your goal? Kinda a stupid move there, guys. Just sayin'.

    At the end of the day, from an outsider's perspective, someone who really didn't have a bias for or against the TLOU series, TLOU2 is honestly a crash course in corporate greed. What was once a labour of love and a series that had passion and care put into it, which gave it the massive, adoring fanbase it had, is now no different to any other AAA game series- revelling in excessive violence for the sake of excessive violence, and pandering to people in the worst, most badly thought out and most CLEARLY INGENUINE way.

    Again, this is an outsider's perspective. You may **** LOVE the game. You may also love sadomasochism, i can't judge!
    But, whereas the original had some spark there that, looking back, might have made it worth playing, TLOU2 has nothing. It actively insults the people it tries to support, and indulges itself in the industry's love of blood and gore for no other reason than blood and gore and pain. It exists to exploit minorities by """""supporting""""" them, and for the sake of money, indulges itself in the exact problems with the industry it claims to be 'confronting'.

    TLOU2 is, from my perspective, a crash course in the downfall of a developer, thanks to corporate greed.

    However, i can't give it, like, a 3 or a 0 like most others have- because it has things going for it still. The gameplay looks somewhat fun, if a little uninspired like every other survival horror zombie-based game. But, i can't say it looks bad.
    The game, on top of that, seems stable. It's not a broken mess like some of the WORST games i've played. Though, that SHOULD be the normal expectation but for a mess that was likely rushed and DEFINITELY not thought out in the least, it's a surprise, to say the least [of us].
    The graphics are absolutely incredible as well. If nothing else, there WAS some kind of care put into that, even if the animations can look a little janky at times [we all know the meme i mean].

    It's not the WORST game ever. But it 100% lacks any kind of spark and passion and is a clear display of a developer dropping to their knees, all for the sake of hitting that green.

    An honest review of The Last of Us Part II from someone who has actually completed the game fully:

    Gameplay: The gameplay for this game is very familiar if you have played the first game with some additional tweaks to make it better and not to mention it is brutal and visceral. The dodge button adds a bit of strategy to melee encounters as enemies can counter you and get hits off. No longer can you just mash square for a guaranteed kill. Ellie is more nimble than Joel. She can jump up to high locations, squeeze through cracks and go prone. Being prone is a game changer as you can hide under cars, shoot while laying down and even craft while laying down. It adds another element to stealth. AI is greatly improved as they will sneak, flank and shoot you behind cover. I can't count how many times I'm getting shot at from someone I couldn't see and spot an enemy peaking out from a crack in the wall. Infected enemies remain relatively the same except for the stalkers who are greatly improved and will hide behind cover and attack you when you least expect it. Standard issues with 3rd person camera obstructing your view. Overall: 9.5

    Sound: Not much to say here. It is top notch. Gunshots echo through the air, enemies gargle and choke on their blood after a stab with Ellie's knife. Infected sound visceral and scary as ever especially the clickers. The soundtrack is intense and heightens pivotal moments. Voice acting is great. Although I haven't tried it, it is recommended to play this game with surround sound headphones to enhance the experience. Overall: 10

    Performance: for a Naughty Dog game which is usually polished I was surprised to see the occasional glitch in this game. I had downloaded the day 1 patch however got an instance where Dina's body didnt fully load through an escape sequence, Ellie teleporting and then having audio sync issues, and a huge framerate drop during a scene heavy on graphics that required a restart of the checkpoint. Nothing game breaking but took me out of the immersion for those moments. Overall: 9

    Graphics: The game is beautiful. The details in the character models and environments are amazing. There's not much to say here besides it is on another level. Facial animations are so good you can tell see every ounce of emotion on the character's face without them saying anything. Overall: 10

    Story: Here is the big one and the most controversial one. I can 100% see why fans of the original Last of Us don't like this story. This game takes huge chances in character decisions, story arcs, and perspective. But I very much enjoyed it. I've thought about this and this was probably the worst game to ever get leaked ahead of time because you truly can't appreciate the story without playing it. The characters are so complex you simply can't get a sense of who they are through video clips. The story challenges you to see violence from the perspective of different people with their own motivations and lives. The main story isn't really about revenge as much as it is about empathy. It's so hard to describe this story without spoiling, but the main thing is it is full of twists and turns, and it will bring out your emotions. It is also much more darker than the first game. It isn't perfect though. There are moments where it dragged for me especially towards the end. I felt like it was going to end like 3 different times. And there is a moment in the middle of the game that kind of turns things upsides down which can feel a bit jarring and disjointed from the main plot of the story. Another criticism I have is I wish they would have made the reason for the decisions some of the characters make more clear especially at the end. You are left open to interpret which I understand that was by design but also leaves you a little confused and feeling without closure. Basic summary: Ellie is living in a nice city with an established community. A tragedy occurs and she sets out on a quest for revenge. That obsession with revenge is explored in how it changes her and the people around her. Her relationship with Joel is explored as well as the lie he told her at the end of the first game. Overall I think this story does an amazing job with storytelling and the message its trying to give despite some long winded moments and structure issues. Overall: 8.5

    FINAL GRADE: 9.4

    Neil Druckman and Naughty Dog disrespected their entire fan base with this game. Best parts were the flashbacks to the first game. TLOU2 is absolute trash and I'll be forgetting that it exists. 0/10.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is not a 0/10 and sure as hell, not a 10/10. It falls in the middle. The visuals are amazing, probably one of the best looking games ever, Seattle looks amazing with the amount of flora and overgrowth, the world is filled with tiny details that make it feel lived in and alive, despite almost all humans being gone. As good as the visuals are this is a game, where gameplay is king, the gameplay is fine, it's effectively a copy+paste of the controls of the first game which isn't bad but it does have the same clunky feeling from the first title which can hinder gameplay but all in all it's not bad. The gameplay is also interrupted time and time agin by QTE's (quick time events) that don't need to be there, cutscenes in which you have to mash square or hold triangle happen WAY too often making me bored during some parts, it feels like an interactive movie or a walking sim for almost half the game. AI feels like a step down from the first game, they will constantly see you kill their allies and not do anything, and AI partners like Dina just got in the way and didn't really add anything; AI will almost always be seen by enemies and sometimes enemy AI will do nothing, other times they'll detect you and open fire even though you were completely hidden. New additions like prone are very welcome as it allows for a lot of flexibility in combat, the jump, on the other hand, feels almost useless even though it's used throughout the entire game for subpar platforming. The story is where TLOU2 truly falls apart, it begins with an idiotic way to kill off a beloved character, as Angry Joe beautifully said "we don't care that you kill Joel, we care HOW you do it," and it's never been more true. Characters we know make decisions completely out of character, so much that I disliked Ellie by the end of the game. Abby and the WLF are such bad people its difficult to sympathize with any of them, literally every big conflict is started by the WLF, which is sad because Abby's half of the game is easily the best. The set pieces, characters, weapons, abilities, are all so much better than Ellie's, it actually feels more similar to the first game because of the Abby and Lev's relationship and some of the puzzle mechanics. This is a revenge story in which you kill nearly hundreds of people, but not the one person that matters, makes absolutely no sense. The pacing is bad too, constantly taking us out of the moment going through flashbacks, they're fine but as a cohesive unit the story falls flat, I firmly believe if they edited/moved scenes around, the story and game would flow much better. Especially because by the time we get to Abby's 3 days in Seattle, I didn't give a **** about the supporting characters because they're all dead anyway. If it was just Abby's adventures with the SCARS this would be a MUCH better game, Ellie and Joel's additions actually hurt the story. If this was a standalone game within the LOU universe minus Joel and Ellie I'd give a 8.5/10, but its a sequel to one of the most beloved games of all time and does NOT respect it or its characters. Overall I give it a 6/10 but due to the false advertising by NaughtyDog and Sony (Joel's character model switched in the trailers to give the illusion he would play a much bigger role other than plot convenience), I deduct another point.

    Although the full flow and story (mainly the second half) way more bloated than it needed to be, I was able to appreciate and enjoy what they were going for.

But the story was terrible, they destroyed one of the most beautiful relationships in the history of video games just for having a reason to present a ludicrous and lazy script. It is ridiculous how it happened, there are many annoying coincidences. They clearly wanted to sell a personal political view, it is a very risky thing, not everyone agrees and likes it, maybe that is the reason for so much negative criticism. I even share the same political thinking as creator Neil Druckmann, but honestly, that wasn't the game to do that, or it wasn't right to do that with these characters specifically. They could have done another story, It would be more right. The entire legacy built by part 1 has been completely destroyed. I don't know if I will be able to play the first game again, knowing that all of this happened in part 2. anyway, it is with a lot of pain in my heart that I give 3. The technical part is excellent, but 70% ~ 80% is the narrative, and she is horrible.

    Congratulations Neil Druckmann, managed to destroy his own history, destroyed the legacy of his first game. I have no right to say how it should be, nor do I have any idea which part 2 would be the perfect ideal for me. But I have the right to criticize, not least because I spent 300, 00R $ in a pandemic to be able to play this long awaited game, and it was very disappointing. You deserve the criticism you are receiving.

    I just finished the game a few days ago and have had some time to think about it. I was very disappointed by this game. In hindsight all the warning signs were there but I decided to give the game a chance. I didn't hate the whole game though, so I'll talk about that before I get into the story.

    My favorite thing about this game was the gameplay. It felt really smooth and responsive. It was also one of the most stress inducing games I have ever played. So I really liked playing it, although it started to get repetitive around the end. Also the graphics are beautiful and some of the best I have ever seen. Anyway on the the story.

    Before I talk about what I disliked, I'll talk about what I did like. First off I really liked Jesse's character. It was also really nice to see Tommy again. I also like Ellie and Dina's relationship, it was done well, and I liked the open world Seattle portion and finding Nathan Drake's ring in the bank was cool. And lastly the flashbacks with Joel and Ellie were amazing, the guitar scene, museum scene, hotel scene, and Joel admitting that he lied were some of the best scenes in the game. Here's what I didn't like: Joel's death. I'm fine with Joel dying, maybe around the end of the game, but not only does he die in the opening, he gets his head bashed in with a golf club by Abby. Oh and lets get into Abby, I HATED her from the beginning to end. And not only does she kill Joel in the most disrespectful way, you play as her for 10 HOURS. That's HALF the game, and they try to make you like her, but who is going to like after she killed Joel! And I hated playing as her all those 10 hours! It sucks some of the best moments are in Abby's story like the new weapons she gets and the infected boss fight but it was ruined by playing as her. Oh and on top of that you play as ABBY fighting and beating up ELLIE! Enough said. And in the end Ellie lets Abby live, even though every person playing wanted to kill Abby then and there. Everything about Abby just sucked, and it was half the game.

    On top of all this, the pacing was bad. We start by playing day 1,2,and 3 as Ellie, it ends with a cliff hanger, play day 1,2,and 3 as Abby, then the ending. It would be better if they took Abby's sections, shortened them and had up play Ellie day 1 then Abby day 1, Ellie day 2 then Abby day 2 and so forth. At least the pacing would be better

    Let me just end by saying that I am not a blind hater. I am a huge Naughty Dog fan, I love Crash, Jak and Daxter, Uncharted, and Last of Us. And I was looking forward to this game up until the release day and it was a huge let down. They screwed it up by taking too many risks that did not pay off in the end. My rating would be a 6/10 just because I really enjoyed the gameplay and a few parts of the story, but that plot man...It's like the Last Jedi all over again. I gave it a chance despite of what I heard, and did not like it. I expect more from Naughty Dog.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My problem with TLoU Part 2 is story (I know... weird), but most of characters. This game just feels like a new season for call of duty warzone, even Ellie can be compared to a protagonist of call of duty, she does nothing else then shootin tootin. Story is a total mess because of this all flashbacks, the world presented in TLoU 2 doesn't fit to the world from TLoU 1. Graphics and audio are good. but what bothers me the most is that the music from the first part just works very well in some scenes, but in the second part, there is no music in such scenes, there is only this sound similar to a grenade explosion next to you. I just don't want to play this game, not because the director said so, but because this game is like a circus compared to the first part. And the scene of the death of one of the characters at the beginning of the game (Joel) can be compared to the death of this character if a brick fell on his head at the construction site. Expand

    The gameplay is very solid like a Resident Evil 4. You have a mix of weapons, upgrading and enemy types that gives the game plenty of mileage with mixing up scenarios. Unfortunately the flow of the game is broken up by the narrative being told and gameplay In the world is disjointed

    Playing through it was like enjoying a Walking Dead movie. I was into the characters and story but it was something I was fine thinking about for a little bit and then being done with it.
    If you’re replaying the game, whether on new game plus or a harder difficulty then I think the enjoyment of the story will continually be diminished. You may as well be watching a gritty zombie film or TV show. And if you’re less interested in the many seeing the many cutscenes more than a few times then you’re left with the solid stealth/action combat that is pretty non-linear. Story is the most important part of this game and takes precedent over everything else.
    Overall the game is well crafted in all of the parts that make it up. It’s also very diverse with its cast of characters if that sort of thing matter to you.
    I was left a bit bummed by the conclusion of the game but I respected the choices it made as a piece of art on its own. The gameplay was enjoyable but not wholly satisfying due to the game being structured for the story.

The writers and developers were able to create a far more relatable and real story compared to the first game in my opinion. Characters had more depth, had more motive. Consequences and decisions felt more understandable. One of the best sequels to a story I’ve ever seen. I thought the use of the timeline to explore differing perspectives was really creative and cool. The rendering of post apocalyptic Seattle was stunning. The mission when climbing over Seattle skyscrapers was breathtaking.

    Gameplay felt repetitive towards the end though. The last section of the game in Santa Barbra was a bit exhausting. Felt like things could have ended in that final scene at the theater in Seattle. Though, the cut scenes back to Ellie and Joel’s characters in the first segment were needed and well done. You feel at peace with the characters at the end. It’s a great ending. A great way to end this series.

    I spent 40 hours on this game campaign on high difficulty, explored every place for loot, etc, and what I want to say:
    - at most all of haters didn't play this game or listened and watched with theirs asses; looks like a lot of gamers don't have their own opinion and just follow others;
    - story line is awesome, but I hate moments with SJW agenda: Abby's look is disgusting, women should

    - story line is awesome, but I hate moments with SJW agenda: Abby's look is disgusting, women should be women, not men; not identified with his gender character? in post apocalypse? seriously? Videogames should not have place for such propaganda at all; LGBT community are not your core auditory and payers - please remember it;
    - as I see, a lot of people didn't understand ending due to listened by their asses as described below (can't say more due to spoilers);
    - great visual and sound style and technical implementation, I'd like to recommend to play in noise-cancelling headphones for better experience;
    - hope to see sequel;

    9/10, minus 1 point for several places with SJW agenda.

    El juego no se hace largo y las mecánicas aunque clásicas muestran cierta evolución respecto a la entrega anterior.

    En general creo que es un juego que se ha de jugar si o si.

    I think there are some pacing issues and less impactful scenes compared to the first game, but overall it is very good. The people review bombing are childish and should be ashamed of themselves. This game dared to do something no game had ever done before, whether that completely worked is debatable, but the effort is admirable. By the end of this game I didn't know who was the bad guy, (actually I did, but it wasn't who I wanted to be the bad guy), so in that regard I think the developers have achieved a lot. The ending of this game is heartbreaking and it isn't satisfying at all, it makes you feel empty inside and makes you wish everything in the game just never happened. The gameplay is fantastic, as expected, better than any other Naughty Dog game. The graphics were great, but I played it on a base PS4 so it was pretty blurry (the detail exceeded the resolution). Extremely controversial story telling isn't ever going to leave everyone happy but TLOU2 is one of the best story driven games I've ever played.

Lets get the good out of the way first, because this game has a lot more bad that it should and its a shame. 1. The graphics are some of the prettiest I've seen on the PS4. I have the first release of the console and the game still manages to run extremely well. 2. The gunplay is great. I enjoyed the gunplay in the first game, it having more weight than any third person shooter at the time. 3. The music. Gustavo Santaollala has always done a great job with the Last of Us series. From the disturbing and mysterious opening song of the first game to the soundtrack that plays while travelling Seattle. The music in this game is a must listen if you have the time and desire to. Now let's get on to the bad, and I'll be here for a while. Again, lets get the obvious out the way, the story. Where do I begin? Joel having his skull under par 2 hours into the game? The bland and uninteresting side characters that go along with Ellie and Abby? Abby's half of the plot being flawed and extremely boring? All of these being major problems with this game. Joel was an extremely beloved and cared for character in the first game, but in this, he is used as motivation in the plot and is in the rest of the game via flashbacks. A great and compelling story is driven off of the actions of a character. In this game, the characters are driven off of the story. Abby is the protagonist of the B plot. She is part of a group called the W.L.F. The Washington Liberation Force. Her half of the story consists of side missions and tedious quests for the conclusion of finding Ellie and almost beating her to death. She is such a shallow and terribly written character. Her motivations consist of: finding her ex in a renovated aquarium, then taking it up the ass. Helping a Seraphite girl get her arm cut off to save her, then having the same girl die of getting shot brutally. Then, taking a shemale to California to find the remaining group of Fireflies. Pacing is a super important part of any story, from slow dramatic pauses made to make the audience feel tense, like in Inglorious Basterds, to the fast paced story made to try to grab all the information as quick as possible, like Baby Driver. This simple thing can turn a game from super boring to super interesting. Ellie's part of the story is decent. Being the start of the game, the A plot, this is where a bunch of features need to be introduced. Ellie's story is mostly about the revenge plot of TLOU 2. This is where you have characters like Dina and Jesse. Jesse is so forgettable I had to google who the hell he was. He was a fling of Dina's. They were a thing, broke up, then Dina started dating Ellie. When Dina was dating Jesse, he made her pregnant, thus causing that plot. Ellie's camp is in a theater which funnily enough, the play that was supposed to be going on is on my birthday. That's not a complaint, I just thought it was cool. This is the half of the game where you can kill the pooches. Neil said that you were supposed to feel something every-time you killed a dog or it's owner, but I didn't feel anything. I don't know if it was because I'm a cold hearted bastard or it wasn't compelling enough, but there wasn't any emotional reality in those optional sections. The ending is incredibly disappointing. From the low stakes ending to the downer epilogue, it just was not as good as the last game's ending. Ellie loses two fingers in the fight, losing her only connection to Joel, being able to play the guitar. Except she didn't because of she is talented enough in music, she can learn to play it left handed. Overall, the game's story was terrible and it deserves a lower rating than what the paid off critics gave it. Overall, 3/10. Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
