    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I heard about the controversy in summer last year. I finished the story today and now I know why.

    My problem besides the story is the lack of end bosses and the variety of different zombies. It feels always the same. Over and over you do the same for 12 to 14 hours.

    The Problem of the Story though. Man. They really don't want to do a Part III. They really don't.

    Besides of killing Joel, the lack of emotions between Ellie and Joel is ridiculous.
    They went to thick and thin in Part I and I understand the emotions Ellie had, but common man.
    It like your father. And Joel looked Ellie like her daughter. BUT THEY NEVER REALLY TALKED ABOUT THAT STUFF. That's annoying to me. The lack of emotions that they deserved. Went to all that **** in Part I. At the end of Part I Joel would react the same, because even there would be a cure Ellie would die. He would lose his 2nd daughter. They didn't get the chance of developing what they deserved.

    Even when the **** story ended like this. Why Ellie didn't expressed her feelings or emotions with some words. They cut the scenes. But 14 hours of doing the same is alright.

    It's reminds me of the maker of Sherlock Holmes who killed Sherlock in his book, because he got annoyed by him. Just later to revive him because the **** hit the fan. Feels the same with the last of us.

    When Part III is happening I won't play it. Everything what made The Last of Us amazing is raped. I hoped somebody else would have made the story.    … Expand

    The graphics alone are top notch, best graphics of this generation of consoles for sure. Gameplay gets a couple great additions from the previous game that really keep it fresh al throughout, and all NPCs (be them humans or infected) show great improvement and new variety.

    Now, the main deal, the story: I genuinely loved it. It's complex, It's jarring, it's devastating at times, but it absolutely achieves what it set out to do. This story takes you to the deepest and darkest places possibles from the point of view of Ellie, in a spiraling cycle of hate, intensified by the flashbacks that either show you what Ellie lost, or show you how her relationship with Joel turned into as years went by. And then, just when it seems she can live with letting the source of her rage live, the game gives you a 180 and makes you "walk a mile in her shoes" (as perfectly summed up in Girlfriend Reviews analysis of this masterpiece).

    Before delving into this game you must understand, in the first game, Joel was never a good guy, he was a terrible guy who found a shed of hope when he met Ellie, someone who could send him back to caring for others and to live (rather than just "survive"). Yeah, we get tremendously attatched to him, we're supposed to. That's what makes this sequel the more shocking and emotionally charged.

    Overall, it was hands down the best experience I had on the PS4, and for all of the praise I may give it, I still understand the people who didn't like Joel's death, but I truly believe that if you give this story a chance, if you buy in what it's trying to make you feel, you may find a rollercoast of emotions that you'll be glad you got on.    … Expand

The best graphics checked, the best animations checked, the best sound work checked, the best physics you can see that they have experts in physics and mathematics checked, but what they have done with the fans making you play with a sociopath that ends up with the character perhaps more worked in the history of playstation and the political ideology that oozes through all its frames is something unforgivable cinema, literature, and tv are intoxicated by the ideology of fashion but not video games that ever ...… Expand

The main issue I had with this game is the script, the story is written terribly, one of the main reasons why is because Joel (Protagonist in Part 1) is killed off in the first few hours of the game and I can understand why people did not like that. Joel getting killed off is not the main issue, the main issue is about 10-13 hours into the game you play the character Abby (The husky lady who killed Joel with a golf club) and that was not a smart move to play. You could have created many better outcomes for this game but you didn't. One of the other things people might not like about it is that it takes risk, and by risk I mean that it dares to be depressing and I think that this game is pretty good. This game has one of the most depressing ending I have ever seen in my life. The message is trying to say is that heroes don't always get the death they deserve, what addiction can lead to, and in this world their is no good and bad only people doing what they think is right. Gameplay 10/10, Story 6/10, characters 3/10 Art direction 10/10, dialogue 7/10. This game is a 7.4/10.… Expand

    Wow, it's not great... basically a mildly improved version of the first game, with a garbage storyline. Super grindy in far too many points and then you have to re-grind about mid game. This is unfortunately my last time I'll play a Last of Us game. If there is a third, I could not care less about it.

    Simplesmente impecável. um dos melhores (se não o melhor) jogo da geração ps4. gráficos absurdos de insanos, animações de cair o cu da bunda, áudio que te dá uma imersão do caralho, e uma história... uma história que não pode ser comparada com nenhuma outra, tem que pelo menos ter um pouco de maturidade para poder compreender o que a história passa. um jogo impecável.

    A few days ago I watched a play-through of the game The Last of Us Part 2, and it was a profoundly emotional experience for me. It generated so much empathy through its’ characters unlike any other film or show I think I’ve ever watched; so it’s been on my mind for about 4 days. It’s crazy, I know I’ve felt deeply for characters in stories before, however watching The Last of Us felt likeA few days ago I watched a play-through of the game The Last of Us Part 2, and it was a profoundly emotional experience for me. It generated so much empathy through its’ characters unlike any other film or show I think I’ve ever watched; so it’s been on my mind for about 4 days. It’s crazy, I know I’ve felt deeply for characters in stories before, however watching The Last of Us felt like I actually experienced the loss of a loved one like the protagonists do in this story. The director uses a lot of recurring musical and symbolic themes, and idk maybe it’s unique to the medium of video games that it is able to instill such empathy and connection with the characters, but it’s something I just needed to talk to someone about. I don’t think it’s necessary to have already been fond of the characters Joel and Ellie before coming into the sequel, as I had seen a play-through of the original over 4 years ago and wasn’t exceptionally moved by it’s story. Anyway, I loved the new characters Lev and Abby, and yearn for the best for each of them as much as I do for Ellie and Dina.
    A criticism would be that the flashbacks tend to follow a repetitive/similar arc and sometimes feel out of place. A couple of the characters like Owen and Abby's father are slightly unlikable at times. I think Abby's father felt a bit cheesy.

    Jogo simplesmente maravilhoso, trilha sonora impecável, gráficos impecáveis e dublagem impecável, não vejo uma continuação direta do primeiro jogo melhor do que essa.
    Um dos melhores jogos da geração, naughty dog sempre impressionando com suas obras de arte, na minha opinião esse jogo é o GOTY de 2020 e estou esperando uma parte 3. RECOMENDO ESSE JOGO DE MAIS.

I usually get it that liking a game or not is subjective but when you present a trailer and show scenes with Ellie and Joel only to later find out it's not gonna be like that, i already feel this is **** Let's be honest, most of the people loved the first game because of the story, not the gameplay so the people complaining about people leaving bad reviews based only on the story should understand that if the story alone can make a game good, it should be able to make it bad as well. Having to play the character that killed my favorite character so therefore, i don't really like it and having to keep it alive and explore it's story (that's what you do while you play ) adds a completely different feeling to the game than the first one and I, like most of the others, bought this game because I liked the first one and hoped to experience what was presented in the trailers ( Joel and Ellie ) , not just some flashbacks. I will not complain about the inconsistency of the characters because tbh i wouldn't complain about it if I would've like the story .… Expand

    There’s something off with the tone of this one, in comparison with the original, beloved game, and the difference is jarring enough to keep me from enjoying either the story or the generally repetitive, uninspired gameplay.

    If this were an original IP, it would be much easier to rate it higher. To evaluate it as a story in a different genre, and praise its gorgeous environments. But as it stands, as a sequel, it fails to successfully deliver its simple message, ending on a note that feels pompous and ridiculously proud of itself even as it lands its last, resounding note (and dialog scene) with a hilarious lack of self-awareness.

    This is a game like no other. I recommend playing it, instead of listening to the loud minority of people that want to see politics or something else in it. There are no politics or agendas, just people.
    It is truly human experiencing playing this game, but it will test you emotionally and it will test your empathy.

The game has outstanding graphics, and the gameplay is good, pretty much the same as the first, but they added a dodge button and modified the jump and crouch button, so gameplay and graphics are great. However, the story? It was a disaster, it's as if the writers had no idea where to go with the story when writing it. Not only are the decisions that the characters make in the game stupid, but the whole plot itself is just dumb. A basic summary of it is that Joel is killed by some buff lady with a golf club named Abby, right after he saves her from being eaten by runners. You then spend half the game playing as Ellie to hunt down Abby and everyone else involved in Joel's death. Ellie has pretty much killed all of Abby's friends halfway in the game, then by sheer luck, Abby finds Ellie using a map that "Ellie" left behind after killing 2 of Abby's friends. Abby then kills Ellie's friend Jessie, then we're left on a cliffhanger as the screen goes to black. We now play half the game as Abby, we are forced to play 10 hours as her and empathize with her, which is incredibly difficult considering how psychopathic she is, then she hunts down Ellie and we're at the part where the cliffhanger left off at. Abby shoots Tommy, and beats Ellie to a pulp, but spares her for some reason. A year later, Ellie is living at a farmhouse, and Tommy, who has lost an eye, comes by with a lead on Abby. Ellie refuses at first, but changes her mind last minute and decides to pursue Abby in the middle of the night. She finds out Abby is being held prisoner by some bandits, so she kills over dozens of bandits just to get to Abby, and finds her tied up to a post. She cuts her free, instead of killing Abby on the spot, then makes a last minute decision to try and kill Abby again, but spares her, because of a 2 second flashback of Joel sitting on his porch. You would think that if anything, the flashback would motivate her, but it didn't, it somehow convinced her that killing Abby wasn't worth it, and "revenge is bad".

    The game started off bad by rushing Joel's death and killing him off in a crappy way, then it got even worse when we were forced to play 10 straight hours as Abby. Playing half the game as her was completely pointless, and I felt no progress with her section, it just felt like a chore to do. Also, just when you think Abby (Joel's killer) is finally about to die (which is what the whole game was leading up to), she gets spared, because a 2 second flashback of Joel sitting on his porch is enough to convince Ellie that revenge is bad, like really? You couldn't have realized that when you were killing dozens of people just to get to Abby. It's just ridiculous. Oh, and you want to know what started this all? The only reason that Joel died is because he killed some random NPC surgeon at the end of the first game. Yeah, that nameless NPC surgeon that you can kill in 5 seconds is all of a sudden a major character, and that random surgeon just happened to be Abby's father. That is just very lazy writing.

    After playing tlou2, it makes me realize that a sequel was completely unnecessary, and that the first game was better off the way it ended. The game is supposed to be a story driven game, but the story is horrendous, the dialogue can be outright cringy at times, and the characters in this game are nothing like the first game. Ellie keeps walking back and forth on decisions, and also ends up making some stupid decisions, and Joel and Tommy were just outright stupid. In the first game, Joel and Tommy were paranoid and cautious, but in the second, they're not cautious at all. They go unarmed into a room full of a dozen armed strangers, and they tell these strangers their names and where they live. When I realized that they left their weapons behind in the room next door, I wondered if they left their brains in the other room too, because that's the only explanation as to how they could be so stupid. If you loved the first game like I did, then I beg you, please, please, don't play the second game at all, the game is just boring and depressing. It feels like the story at times is just being dragged on and on and will never end, and it leaves you feeling no satisfaction by the end of the game.    … Expand

    A poco più di 7 anni dall’uscita del proprio capolavoro, Naughty Dog ci catapulta nuovamente nel mondo devastato dal Cordyceps, un fungo causa del collasso della società per come oggi la conosciamo e responsabile del deturpamento, o meglio, del ritorno allo “stato di natura” degli uomini che la componevano, eppure è proprio in un mondo come questo, “dal volto sfregiato”, spietato e buio,A poco più di 7 anni dall’uscita del proprio capolavoro, Naughty Dog ci catapulta nuovamente nel mondo devastato dal Cordyceps, un fungo causa del collasso della società per come oggi la conosciamo e responsabile del deturpamento, o meglio, del ritorno allo “stato di natura” degli uomini che la componevano, eppure è proprio in un mondo come questo, “dal volto sfregiato”, spietato e buio, che sorgono delle “luci”, segnali che forse, non tutto è perduto: sono tanti i gruppi che cercano di ricostruire il “vecchio mondo” e allo stesso modo sono diverse le comunità che cercano di ricominciare da capo, proprio come la comunità di Jackson. E’ proprio a Jackson che 7 anni fa abbiamo lasciato Ellie e Joel, esempio di come anche in un mondo in cui non si vive bensì si sopravvive, esista ancora l’amore, qui nella forma di legame fra un padre e una figlia che va ben oltre gli orrori del mondo di The Last of Us, e che ricorda che così come la cattiveria, l’egoismo, la brutalità, anche l’amore è una caratteristica intrinseca dell’uomo, che non può che emergere anche in un contesto crudele come quello dell’opera di Naughty Dog. L’idea di un sequel di The Last of Us mi ha spaventato: ho sempre ritenuto il prequel un titolo sbalorditivo in quanto metteva in gioco una potentissima componente emotiva che mai prima avevo fatto esperienza in un videogioco, attraverso una narrazione dettata dal rapido susseguirsi di eventi d’impatto, dall’approfondimento dei personaggi e dei legami fra loro, dall’analisi di temi vicini a chiunque come la perdita, il sacrificio, la paura, la fiducia, l’amore; l’idea che questa perla rara potesse essere in qualche modo “sporcata” da un gioco meno potente mi ha impaurito, ma non per questo sono mai stato scontento per il sequel: sapevo che il gioco si trovava nelle migliori mani possibili, quelle di un genitore che si prende cura del proprio figlio. Insomma, The Last of Us parte 2 si ritrova ad avere una grande responsabilità, ovvero di raggiungere o, meglio ancora superare, il gigante che lo ha preceduto, senza dimenticarsi di esso e della sua identità, di ciò che lo ha reso probabilmente, uno dei più grandi giochi degli ultimi anni. Ritengo che il gioco riesca in buona parte a svolgere il suo compito, senza però eccellere su alcuni punti come il predecessore. Sia chiaro, il gioco è il degno sequel di The Last of Us ed ha migliorato alcuni punti critici del predecessore, risultando dunque un gioco più vario, digeribile e divertente sul fronte ludico, discorso a parte va fatto per quanto riguarda la trama e il modo in cui si sviluppa, motivo di tante critiche rivolte al gioco. Giudicare un gioco profondo come The Last of Us parte 2 è difficile ed è davvero facile cadere nell’errore di giudicarlo troppo negativamente per via di alcune coraggiose scelte fatte dagli autori (se non viste e riviste attentamente dal giocatore) così come è facile dire che è perfetto quando in realtà, non lo è. E’ un gioco che fa male, che non vuole far contento nessuno, che non vuole fare politica, ma che vuole dare un’importante lezione ai giocatori facendoli riflettere su un temi ostici. Il gioco purtroppo non ha solo sulle spalle la grande responsabilità di doversi confrontare (senza però sfigurare) con il primo, ma ha anche la sfortuna di essere nato in un’epoca in cui anche un bambino stupido e capriccioso ha la possibilità di dire la sua e giudicare senza nemmeno motivare il perché delle sue parole. E’ in un mondo superficiale come il nostro, in cui le cose vengono apprezzate attraverso sterili numeri e mi piace, che un’opera così profonda e di rara bellezza ha difficoltà a germogliare e posso dire che questo gioco sia senza dubbio uno dei migliori giochi che abbia giocato negli ultimi anni. The Last of Us parte 2 non raggiunge l’intramontabile predecessore ma non per questo sfigura davanti a lui: è il gioco di cui noi giocatori avevamo bisogno, capace di mostrare il piattume generale delle persone e di dimostrare che, effettivamente, non tutti “erano pronti” a qualcosa di questo tipo. Sono triste perché non ha saputo emozionarmi come il primo (proprio perché tende invece a mettere il giocatore a disagio, in conflitto con se stesso) ma allo stesso tempo sono felice: sono felice come persona, perché sicuramente questo gioco mi ha lasciato una lezione importante, ma non sono pienamente felice in quanto fan del predecessore, perché ho visto andare in fumo ciò che avevo visto nascere anni fa e che mi aveva fatto innamorare perdutamente di quel mondo terribile. The Last of Us è come una persona a me cara, che ho imparato a conoscere e ad amare nel tempo ma che adesso, con parte 2, mi sta abbandonando prematuramente, lasciandomi amarezza e tristezza, ma allo stesso tempo con una dolce nostalgia nel cuore che mi ricorda che niente è per sempre, ma è bello finchè c’è, nonostante le avversità, comunque vadano le cose… Expand

Especially the part of the game with Abby (which is long) has the player wandering around scavenging and occasionally shooting zombies. Never has a story been less interesting. Personally I skipped almost all cinematics because I didn't care about the origin story of Abby or whoever irrelevant character.
    The graphics are good, but nothing of an improvement compared to the first game. Make yourself a favor and do not spend your hard-earned money on this compilation of irrelevant shooting sequences.    … Expand

    That is by far the best video game I’ve ever played in my life. What Naughty Dog accomplished in this game using the resources/technology of a console released in 2013 is really impressive and a must follow for all the other game studios. It’s a must play game for sure.

It had a dissapointing story, features lesbian characters, gameplay was a bit bad and what's worse, it won the game of the year 2020. Why did The last of us part 2 win the game of the year awards when you have really good games such as ghost of tushima, doom eternal, cyberpunk 2077, hades, animal crossing new horizons, Spider-Man miles morales and the most anticipated video game demon souls. I highly recommend you to play the other the last of us games except for the last of us part 2.… Expand

    This game has one of the most immersive gameplays ever in the video game industry. Whenever I stopped playing this game it was either for I had to do something else or I needed to go to sleep.     Phenomenal. Top-drawer animation and storytelling. The intense difficulty spikes and incessant dreariness didn't take anything away for me when I look at it as a whole. If it's not your thing, I can appreciate that but for me it's the greatest series of all time.

The way that naughty dog showed us the two sides of the history was a magnificent thing, i loved it. I'm still sad for the Joel's death, but i understand the Abby's reason.

    Gráficos: Supongo que acá nadie me va a poder discutir, gráficamente el juego es increíble, se nota una atención al detalle tanto en personajes como en escenarios que ningún otro juego me ha hecho experimentar. Aunque supongo que en parte esto no sorprende, ya que Naughty Dog siempre se ha caracterizado por hacer juegos con gráficos adelantados a su tiempo desde 1996. Si esto es lo que ND puede hacer de máximo en una PS4, no quiero ni imaginarme en la siguiente generación de consolas. Este es de lejos posiblemente el unico juego con gráficos fotorrealistas (o lo mas cercano al fotorrealismo). Si es verdad que el juego va a 30 FPS, pero con unos pocos minutos de gameplay uno se acostumbra.
    Jugabilidad: La jugabilidad del primer TLOU era bastante simple pero algo competente, siendo un juego de sigilo/accion que honestamente, le faltaba pulirse, y la IA y la falta de explotacion de la misma jugabilidad era algo que hacia que el primer juego no me llamara tanto la atencion como a otros si. Sin embargo, TLOU2 mejora enormemente la jugabilidad al punto de que incluso es uno de mis juegos de sigilo favoritos. Aunque mucho es calcado del primer juego (de hecho, las armas son prácticamente las mismas), tenemos muchísimas mas mejoras para nuestras habilidades que ahora si hacen la diferencia (no como en TLOU1), la IA mejoro enormemente, constantemente comentando cosas dependiendo de lo que el jugador haga y también tenemos muchas mas opciones para el sigilo. Ademas de tener muchas opciones de accesibilidad que siempre son muy bien recibidas en cualquier videojuego. Si es verdad que se podria aprovechar todavia mas, como por ejemplo el sistema de mejoras, pero definitivamente es mejor que la del primer juego.
    Historia: Voy a ser totalmente honesto, la historia del primer TLOU si bien me pareció bastante buena, no era una de mis favoritas, de hecho, yo nunca conecte con Joel en el primer juego. Y debido a que la historia del segundo da un cambio bastante brusco (aunque ND siempre suele dar cambios bruscos en sus segundas partes por lo que no me sorprende) realmente la he disfrutado mas. El juego esta dividido en 2 partes, la historia con Ellie y la historia de Abby. Obviamente no contare todo ya que es demasiado largo, sin embargo, creo que ambas historias en general están bastante bien, he llegado a conectar con Abby de forma exitosa (cosa que como ya dije con Joel en el primero no). Se nota claramente que el juego quiere contar una historia de venganza en el que tengamos pena por ambos personajes, y el punto de Abby se cuenta perfectamente, o casi. Yo creo que el problema de la historia no es Abby como muchos dicen, sino Ellie, ya que ella claramente esta mucho mas cegada por la venganza que Abby, matando a muchos mas miembros del otro grupo y cuando Abby la perdona por segunda vez al final, Ellie sigue queriendo llevar su venganza a cabo, cosa que esto no me cuadro del todo (junto con el final) y tampoco me gustaron ciertas escenas flashback que se hacen algo pesadas y aburridas (aunque algunas si están bastante buenas). No culpare al que diga que este juego parece una telenovela. Sin embargo, creo que la historia de Abby junto con la relación que lleva entre Mel, Lev y Yara principalmente fue la mejor parte.
    Lo que si también note de la historia es que se siente forzada, sin embargo no es algo que tomare en cuenta puesto que si bien esta forzada en muchas partes lo cierto es que luego lo que te cuentan se puede hacer interesante así que se lo perdono (salvo el final como ya dije).
    En general, la historia de TLOU2 no es perfecta ni mucho menos, y de hecho hubiera falta extender un poco mas el final que se siente incompleto, así como contar un poco mas sobre las luciérnagas, la cura, u otros temas que quedaron vacíos en el primer juego y que el segundo no quiere explicarlo por abarcar la venganza como tema principal de la historia. Sin embargo, eso no quiere decir que no la haya disfrutado, de hecho, la disfrute mucho mas que la primera entrega.
    Conclusión: Debo ser sincero de nuevo, yo soy de los que piensan que el primer juego esta algo sobrevalorado, y es por eso que esta segunda entrega se infravaloro bastante, simplemente por que elimina la simplicidad de la que bebía la primera entrega y la hace un poco mas compleja ademas de cambiar muchas cosas que puedo entender que a la gente no le haya gustado esos cambios, sin embargo, el juego objetivamente no es malo, de hecho, aun si la historia fuese legítimamente mala, el juego lo seguiría considerando bueno, con una jugabilidad bastante competente en su genero (aunque muy mejorable) y gráficos que me atrevería a decir que hasta ahora son los mejores que he visto a nivel técnico y eso que hablamos de una consola no tan potente lanzada en 2013. TLOU2 en mi opinión personal supera en todos los apartados al primer juego.    … Expand

    Excellent gameplay and a beautiful looking game. I'm impressed with the risks Naughty Dog was willing to take. The story in my opinion is a little tedious and it's hard to emphasize with the characters. Overall I think it's a good game, but it doesn't live up to the expectations when you compare it with TLOU1.

The Perspective swap from Ellie to Abby part way through the game was an awesome switch for anyone who isn’t a brain dead spite filled desk gremlin and tried played through Abbys section with an open mind. The game is really well done story wise and It gives the characters realistic depth. The last of us Part II isn’t the game many wanted but I do think it was a game we needed. The end got a little slow in the ranch house but that’s because every time the screen cut to black I expected the credits to roll. Overall a great game in my opinion. 9/10… Expand

    I had an incredible experience with this game. Characters are complex and strongly built. The story is unbelievable and emotional. Technically this game is almost perfect and the soundtrack is a masterpiece.

    Graphically stunning. Beautiful animations. Story doesn't fail to disappoint in every aspect. Game feels a bit racist and sexist at times. Gameplay is similar to Last of Us 1, which is a bit dull in my opinion, but some people love it. Hopefully this much graphic effort will be put into a good game some day.

Whoever calls this game a masterpiece is either being bribed or has zero brain cells. They said most people wouldn’t like this game before it released, so then what was the point in spending millions of dollars making a game that you knew would be hated by the fans. Naughty Dog has lost all my repsect and I hope they do not make an Uncharted 5, because they would ruin that franchise too. Do not trust people who claim that this is a great game. No wonder over half of Naughty Dog’s staff left during development of this game. Do yourself a favor and save your money for games that don’t spit in the faces of its fans. Joel dies 2 hours into the story, Ellie turns into an idiot for killing all of Abby’s friends but not killing her just because she gets a flashback to Joel playing a guitar, and the game tries to make Abby a likeable character even though she kills Joel and Jesse, and almost kills Tommy, Dina, and Ellie. Joel dies without knowing who killed him, and Abby even gets saved by Joel but still kills him. If Ellie was killed and Joel was the one hunting down Abby, the last thing he would do is spare the person who killed the person that he sees as his daughter. There is no way anybody can say this is on par with the first one, because the first one is leagues above this pile of trash we waited 7 years for. The graphics and music are the only great things about this game, but none of that matters when the story is terrible and the gameplay gets stale quickly. Also, nobody wanted to play as a new character for half the game, especially if that new character is as unlikeable as the one we were given. The focus should have been on Joel and Ellie, because that’s what made the first game so great. They should have also made Tommy playable instead of Abby and have Ellie and Tommy be the characters you play as along with keeping Joel alive until at least the last few hours of the game. There’s a lot more problems I have with this game, but I don’t want to spend time writing them all down. Just know that this game is not something you should be proud to like, because it completely butchers what the first game had established for its characters, and the story has too many logic gaps and characters acting like they’re not themselves. I highly recommend the writers of this story quit and go be janitors at Taco Bell, because they would be more useful there.… Expand

Not fun, needed many breaks to finish the game cause fed up not playing Ellie and Joel. Imagine playing uncharted 4, but they killed Nathan and you play as his wife Elena getting revenge, but for 2 minutes, then you play the despicable Rafe Adler for most of the game and play even through times only to learn about how he lived as a kid and how liked to play Lego and had his favorite pet, and then so in and so on until what made him despicable, you still don't care and he still deserves capital punishment cause he killed Nathan anyway, and then in the end you actually don't get revenge, no, you save his life and all go your separate way.     This game has broken my heart. I played a lot of games, but never, never I’ve been so deep in reflection on heroes stories.

    I can say that for sure, that guys from naughty dogs, made me to ask myself a lot of questions about heroes decisions. It’s like the iconic movie or book leave me alone with the cruel reality, where against my better judgement forgiveness is hard to come.

    This game was a complete spit in the face of part 1 anyone who has played the game or even watched knows this doesn't deserve game of the year no matter how good the graphics/movements are.

    İlk oyun bana konsol aldırmıştı, devam oyunu ise şuana kadar oynadığım gelmiş geçmiş en iyi oyun oldu. Hikaye anlatımını beğenmeyenlerin aksine ben hikaye anlatımını ve yaşattığı duygu değişimlerine bayıldım.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
