    The Last of Us Part 2 does an excellent job at elevating the gameplay of the first one.Everything you loved about the first one is there, just better.     This game is not for everyone. It is a violent game and a game that shows the effect of that violence in the people around you. Player is one the other hand enjoying the fabulous game play while annihilating enemies and on the other hand feeling sorry for participating in Ellie's revenge.

    I played the first game and it really fascinated me to the degree of going platinum, but in this game I really feel like it loses the essence of the first one for wanting to give importance to an lgbt agenda and Forcing inclusion is not bad, but your argument does feel too forced. It's like the game you want to scream, look at me! I am super inclusive, love me!     El juego está desarrollado de tal manera para hacer ver al espectador que el desarrollador "odia" en cierta manera a los protagonistas. El juego va bien hasta cierto punto, pero después se vuelve tedioso y solo quieres terminarlo rápido y creo no ser el único que piensa lo mismo, además la historia está contada de una forma pésima, introduciendo flashbacks de repente y a veces un flashbackEl juego está desarrollado de tal manera para hacer ver al espectador que el desarrollador "odia" en cierta manera a los protagonistas.     I'm shocked at how overrated this game is. It's very boring, cliche and the story line cookie cutters you through a glacial pace. No matter how often Metacritic manipulates user votes or it's aggregate critic scoring to serve it's ad base- this game isnt good. It's just fact.

    The Last of Us Part II is one of the most unique experiences in art ever. Is it my favorite game of all time? No. However, I think it is irrefutable to suggest that this game (not counting story, we'll get to that in a bit) isn't close to greatness. The sound design, the graphics, the art direction, the acting, and the level design are all batting at thousand. The sound design, the graphics, the art direction, the acting, and the level design are all batting at thousand. The survival gameplay was THIS close to perfection, my biggest gripe with the gameplay is how much of the game is slowed to a crawl to find resources. There is an option in the game to make picking up resources automatic but it is unbelievable to me that this isn't default or at least prominently suggested as an option. So that leaves the story. There are stories that only work as games like Bioshock and Undertale, and then there are stories that could work as almost anything like The Last of Us Part 1. The Last of Us Part II is a story that only works as an experience. If you haven't played the first game, I would argue that it is absolutely NOT optional to play Part II without having played Part I. And then once you play the story you are taken through an experience that is almost hard to explain. Unlike other franchises in gaming where they milk these worlds and characters as far as it can, The Last of Us Part II sacrifices its universe in order to take the gamer through an experience no game has ever dared gone before. Judging from the reception this game received, I fear no game will ever dare go again. But I for one, am grateful to have been a part of this experience. Many a gamer will argue that the theme of this game is "Revenge bad! Grrrr," I would implore any gamer who plays this game to not go into this game with that mindset because the theme is a lot deeper than that. Any gamer who's played this game once, I would urge to play it again without such a negative mindset. Its been almost a year and I still think about this game to this day. If you like games with good survival horror mechanics, I would say look no further. If story truly plays an important aspect as to why you play video games, I would also say look no further. However, if your personal expectations for stories plays such an important role in your enjoyment of stories, then I would say that I personally feel you are not ready for this kind of game. This game's story punches you in the gut and dares you to learn to accept. I think this game is historic, its not my favorite game of all time but it will always hold a special place in my heart and I think once all the dust has settled and years have gone by, this game will be beloved. If you have access to this game you owe to yourself to play The Last of Us Part 1 first, and then play this game to experience this storytelling experience that you just flat out won't find in any other medium. This game isn't about shock value, it's about guilt and the realities of not taking what you have for granted. I personally would give this game a 9.5/10, but that wasn't an option and I do think the gameplay annoyance of constant searching for resources, (on top of something else gameplay related but tied to the story that forces you to essentially "do it all again") brings it down just shy of a 10/10.… Expand

    Nothing new to the gameplay, disappointing. Story is a mess, these are not the characters we knew in the first game. Abby is just a hypocrite, I don't find any connection to her and don't feel sorry for her at all. Forcing LGBTQ community into a game like this is also annoying, so much potential was wasted for how good the first game was. You should be ashamed of yourselves devs. Ashamed.

Я не знаю как адекватно оценить эту игру, с технической части хорошая игра , а вот сюжет это даже не понимаю как объяснить эмоции которые испытываю , обида злость отвращение. В своё время я купил ps4 Толко ради 1 части этой игры хотя до этого 7 лет Xbox 360 был и планировал оставаться с майками. Однако поле того как прошёл 1 часть я был просто очарован данной игрой она была на голову выше всего во что я играл до этого , со второй частью же ровно обратные эмоции , очень долго ждал купил запустил начал играть и вот чувствуется что-то не то, дальше спойлеров , Джоэла слили , эли сука , девка ее страшная и мерзкая, многое в игре прям тычет тебе повесточкой, за 30 секунд сцены почти в самом начале игры она мужика оскарбила и обозвала шевенистом, хотя он извинялся и бустеров ей сделал, они все такие сильные и независимые все, второй игровой персонаж не адекватная перекачанная быдлобаба которая может руками череп поломать, смысл игры мне понятен и сюжет понятен и даже почему слили дожила , мне не понятно зачем впихивать столько вот этого всего абсурда в игру ? Я про их повестки , это все мерзко, мне не нравится и противно смотреть на их взаимоотношения и внешние виды персонажей на то что происходит в игре, как пример приведу смотрю сериал сейчас половое воспитание , и там весь сериал это одна большая повестка , но он не мерзки и ты переживаешь абсолютно за все персонажей и их отношение, в Last of Us 2 это все на столько противно что нет слов одни эмоции, и немного рационального взгляда в конце я понимаю что мне визуально не приятно играть в эту игру , но Сама по себе она уже точно не на 5 балов а побольше , однако моя субъективная оценка такова, p.s. Чуть меньше агрессии к мужчинам , симпатичен персонажей , в том числе не такую накаченную женщину , да даже если бы пухленькая была без разнице ну не Шварцнеггер. И даже комент не писал бы. А так много смешанный чувству и скорее всего даже не получилось их правильно выразить… Expand

They kill Joel so ellie has a reason pursue Abby and kill all her friends. By the time you get to her you get this "life lesson" on how revenge isn't what you should be going for so you don't kill her. So let's just forget that you literally killed like all of her friends let alone your friends were also killed trying to help you peruse abby. Like I get the "life lesson" and all but they are in a completely different world where everything is **** up. I don't think our world and theirs is at all the same. And don't even get me started on the Joel death... yeah I get that his story is "over" but don't forget that he's the one who we've been with since the beginning and started it all. The story of the last of us was the growing relationship between Joe and Ellie and how Joel was coping with the loss of his daughter. Like they definitely could have built up on that story especially with the way they ended the first one. I was hoping for the last of 2 to be like Ellie finds out the truth, hates Joel for it, Ellie then tries to kill or hurt Joel, they have some sort of fight and you have to choose a side ya know. Idk I just hate how they added this random abby **** to come in and kill Joel cause Joel killed her random npc dad who wasn't even relevant in the first one. The only reason why this game even gets a 1 is because the graphics are absolutely amazing and I really enjoyed the gameplay.… Expand

    A technical masterpiece that improves upon most aspects of the original. The story isn’t as good as part 1, but it is nowhere near as bad as many make out. My main criticism would be that the run time is a bit longer than necessary.

So many real emotions you can feel while playing. And like real life there are no easy decisions or clearly good or bad people.     It's the greatest game I have ever played. The plot is incredible, this story makes me feel great range of emotions: emotional state and attitude to the characters have been changing for few times during passing LOU2.
    Maybe this franchise could be considered to be the best of PS exclusives. I strongly recommend get such great experience as I by passing this game.

The narrative structure is a mess, if the devs wanted me to empathise and understand Abby, they should have opened the game with the flashback of her father, and allowed the player some time to warm to her before having her do something horrible. In the original, Joel is thoroughly humanised in the opening sequence for a reason - first impressions stick. And there is a reason why his worst act (decimating the fireflies) is saved for the final sequence - by that point we can understand his actions, even if we can't agree with them. Introducing a character as a murderous psychopath and then redeeming them is a tall order, but not impossible (see: Jamie Lannister). But it needs to be done with finesse - hamfisted sequences with pet dogs and former lovers sprinkled between further atrocities did not work. The game asks players to consider the cycle of hate, how it can damage a person, and how there are two sides to any conflict. It is ironic that these themes obviously took precedence over plot and character in development, but fail to land because of the shambolic plot and characters.

    Given a 7 for the beautiful visuals and improvements in mechanics, and for having some passable characters and story beats. I expect the lowish user score is due to its mediocrity being so disappointing considering the masterpiece that was the original. Surprised to see the high critic scores, I won't be trusting critics again.    … Expand

    Truly terrific game that had my emotions in a spin the entire time. Storytelling was beautiful however not a full 10 as I think it could have been shorter. Gameplay evolves throughout but the stealth kills do get a bit repetitive after a while.

    В плане механик практически ничего нового не увидел.Просто что то немного допилили,добавили ползание и все.Боевка по сути полностью аналогичная первой части.В первой части она и так была однообразна,но игра была короткой и не успевала надоесть.

    Интеллект врагов.Проходил на реализме и у меня есть вопросы.Враги меняют свои действия лишь когда ты за ними идешь.Например,9 из 10 случаев поведение врага абсолютно идентично, но стоит тебе пойти за ним так он сразу начинает менять путь,может резко обернуться хотя он меня не слышал или начать крутить головой.Они дико точные.Попадают чуть ли не через всю карту.Из укрытия даже выглянуть не удается.Их обучал Леголас,не иначе)Иногда не реагируют на точные выстрелы в них будто терминаторы.Крупные враги не умирают от выстрела в голову.У них,видимо,череп из стали.При прочесывании территории они идут прямо на тебя будто все знают,где ты,хотя ни разу не палился.В общем реализмом не пахнет.Враги Леголасы,Нострадамусы и терминаторы в одном флаконе.

    Я дико сгорел когда только-только прокачанную Элли поменяли на нулевую Эбби.Для чего я страдал пол игры я вообще не понял.Все усилия впустую.Даже новые изученные скиллы опробовать не удалось.Невероятно глупая идея делить игру на 2 персонажей.

    Сюжетий.Вполне себе.Ничего выдающегося.Всякие гении могут хоть до потери пульса кричать,что сюжет невероятно глубок.Там все на поверхности.Не нужно быть гением, чтобы все понять.Вторая половина игры вообще не работает ибо Эбби дико скучный и мразотный персонаж.То что она выглядит максимально не естественно это дело десятое.За нее играть настолько душно насколько это вообще возможно.1 ее миссия:Выехала с базы и вернулась на базу.Офигеть интересно.2-я:спасать Оуэна на которого мне абсолютно фиолетово.Он был в сюжете 5 минут.С чего вдруг он должен быть мне инетересен?Мразь она потому,что она убила бы беременную,если бы не Лев.И так далее.Ее ветка унылейшая.Вытягивает лишь часть на острове из-за дикого экшена.Джоэла,конечно,убили максимально жестоко.Я офигел)Возникал диссонанс из-за рефлексии Элли на пытку/убийство Мэл,когда ею были убиты куча болванчиков.Видимо,эти болванчики переданы настолько живыми,что возникает этот диссонанс.

    Последняя миссия Элли дико душная.Все однообразие геймплея настолько надоедает,что я чуть не бросил игру.К тому же в конце по стелсу пройти нереально,а для боя нет ресурсов)Идеально.Пришлось тупо пробегать.    … Expand

WTF, that's one example of really poor writing, other, you expect us to sympathize with a character that not only betrays in the most coward way someone that just save her life because he killed her parents that were circus doctors? Pathetic. get it (used when it is possible again) for the graphics and gameplay, a waste of Santaolalla beautiful music.… Expand

    One of the greatest games ever made. Every game play element from the 1st game has been improved and updated in this game. The story, acting, script etc is a step up from anything I have experienced in a video game before. The level of thought and care that has gone into making this is game is staggering. For me, it is the best video game I have ever played. Naughty Dog - don't ever change.

    Fine, here i go. You won't be reading anything you haven't read before. In short? This game is great, for me at least.

    Now why exactly.

    Gameplay. This is gonna be short, you know, everyone, even the bad reviews writes that it's good, and it is. It's almost perfect. No doubts.

    Story. That's where things get hard to explain. You either love it or hate it. I will get stoned for this, but if you look at it closely enough, it have the same spirit as Tlou, because in the end main character gets saved, in some way. Joel by saving Ellie, and Ellie by letting Abby go. This time it's just bit darker than some could handle. But that's alright. Even i didn't like some parts of this ride.

    Characters. Everyone stayed in the way they were written. Some may say that Joel was out of character when he told WLF his name. But it was the situation that made him do it. Some may say Ellie was out of character when she yelled at Joel, or when she let her biggest enemy go. She wasn't. Right from the start we knew we need to expect this from her. And she slowly needed to realise that she needs to change.

    To summarise it once again, this game is piece of art, something we all should try at least once. The story is more complicated and so is the world you are exploring. You shouldn't expect anything you fly through happily. But rather something you slowly sink into. And when you get into the right depth you realise it's something much bigger, than just death and revenge. It's okay even if you don't like it afterwards.

    The Last of Us Part II is an amazing game. I understand why the tone might have turned off a lot of people, considering it came out during a dark and difficult year for most people, but I think in retrospect, it will be considered a classic. The ending wasn’t that bad and reading some of the reviews here you would think it was a Game of Thrones level atrocity, but it wasn’t. It was perfectly effective at conveying a feeling of bittersweet hope in a dire world and explores how we deal with grief and finding purpose in life.

    As for gameplay, I have absolutely no complaints. The shooting and melee combat feels great and the enemy encounters can be tense and rewarding. You can play it however you want – you can go in guns blazing, sneak around and lay traps while silently pick off each enemy, or just run away and avoid combat altogether. The pacing is great, going from exploration and solving environmental puzzles to enemy filled areas and then some action-packed sequences are sprinkled in, but I can see how the repetition of the formula can get old for some people. It’s the pretty standard Naughty Dog formula. The environments are beautiful (even when they are grotesque) and the level design is amazing. The world truly feels lived in and adds to the immersion. I’ve heard some complaints that it was too long, but I kind of disagree. It took me about 24 hours to beat, but I mostly gave up on stealth near the end. I also think the accessibility and difficulty options were fantastic and let me fine tune the difficulty when I was having a hard time.

    The story is also great in my opinion, but is seems to be very polarizing. Without spoiling anything, there are some characters you initially hate and may grow to love as you spend more time with them or you may find these character's stories uninteresting, like myself. On the surface, it seems like a simple revenge story, but it has more layers than that. It's about people living with the choices they've made, dealing with loss, finding purpose, and laying the past to rest. It’s a game that has stuck with me after finishing and I’m still thinking about it days later.    … Expand

There are a number of problems with this game, like the long level designs that can be somewhat repetitive at times, and Abbys part of the story. But even with these problems, and a couple more along the way, I loved this game. Now let me get this straight, when I say I have a problem with the Abby part of the story, it’s not for the reason that I’ve seen many people have. Naughty Dog made a risky move in trying to make the player play as the villain for the second half of the game, and honestly, I felt like they did a great job on it. I found myself accepting and understanding abbys side better, some say the game was trying to manipulate the player, but ALL games do that. I liked abbys story, but my problem was that the story did not correlate with the first half of the game. Everything that happened with lev and Lara was good and interesting, but it doesn’t have anything to do with Ellie’s part of the story. Abbys side is mostly about the Scars until the end when Abby sees her friends dead. And while I don’t have a problem with Abby or her story, it would have been better if they connected the sides better, so you could see abbys reactions from the things Ellie did, and visa versa. Other then that, I loved the game. The gameplay was a 9/10, the graphics were a 10/10, the music 8/10, the characters 8/10, and the story, the most hated part of the game was a solid 9/10. One of the main reasons people hate the story is the death of Joel at the beginning. I got that part spoiled for me and was still shocked when and how it happened. One person said the death was unmemorable, but I don’t think I’d ever forget it. The performance from the actors, especially Ellie, really sold the whole thing. It was bloody, and messy, and traumatizing, but it sparked the whole drive of the story. It made you want to go after Abby and kill her. It was such a strong and powerful death in a game, and while I miss Joel, and loved him in the first game, the sequel would not be as powerful without the death. Oh and the whole guitar scenes were very emotional for me. Like, at the end of the game she can’t play anymore, she can’t do the one last thing that connected her To Joel. I was kinda crushed. But anyways, the game is very deep and has a lot of layers. The story isn’t as simple as “revenge bad” or forgiveness, because that’s just what’s in the surface. I’d love to be able to explain it better to anyone who reads this, but honestly, watch “the last of us part ll is a perfect sequel” by Nathan Zed, because it explains it perfectly. I understand certain reasons on why people don’t like this game, but all in all I wasn’t disappointed. I even liked the sequel better then the original. Also, if you got time, watch the two videos about the last of us part ll by videogamedunky, because there just great. I loved this game, the action the romance (which even if your homophobic you can’t deny that the relationship between Ellie and Dina was great) and the story were amazing.… Expand

You want people to play and have sympathy on abby right after she killed jesse? it doesnt work like that, players have been through way more with ellie and joel and you think by giving them a chance to play with abby they would totally forget what she has done? People dont even want to play abby, the more they play as her the more they get disgusted.

    Visually & Audio wise the best looking and sounding game ive ever played and I have a 2080ti in my PC. An amazing world with insane detail, I couldnt stop taking screenshots! Amazing gameplay with the best AI ive ever seen in this style of game. Story wise, It wasnt perfect but its no way near close as bad as people make it out to be.. Abby was justified in killing Joel & playing in her perspective shows there is no true villain and just a people dealing with the outcomes of their actions.

    This game made me feel emotions not many have, I felt bad killing dogs just like someone would in real life.. doesnt mean the game is bad.. This game intentionally tries to make you feel bad, and some people cant handle that.

    The story might not have turned out how people expected/wanted but that does not make it a bad one.. People think they know these characters inside out after 25 hours of game play from the first.

    Ignore the negativity hype train and people running their agendas around muscley women & transgenders, it did not feel in any way to be virtue signalling or social justice attempts..

    The story wasnt perfect though hence my score.

    Visuals 10/10 (check out accessibility options where you can increase FOV)
    Sound 10/10 (Amazing detail and 3d placement)
    Story 9/10 (Some odd decisions here and there but not even close to the hate it got)

A lot of people are disillusioned by the fact that it's not what they wished it was. Trying to empathize with some of the characters is necessary. It's necessary to try and empathize in a meta-way because we play as Ellie, who at the end, learns to empathize with and forgive Joel. She says "I'd like to try [to forgive Joel]" and the same is being done for Abby.

    There are legitimate criticisms of the game. The pacing is all over the place, and the marketing is misleading. There is also the criticism that Joel let his guard down. All those things make this a very flawed game like any other. There were plot armor examples in the first game too (a little girl like Ellie with no combat experience being able to fend off tens of hunters and protect Joel when he is wounded at the university, for one). But just like the first game, which had a more airtight plot overall, I think it's important to enjoy the game for what it IS despite its flaws. The gameplay is imperfect in both the first and second game (with the jump button being clunky).

    However, a game like TLOU part II elevates telling bold stories with emotion and trying to make a player feel emotions like never before to a new level. Although it's flawed, the sheer experience this game provides should be experienced by every Ps4 owner    … Expand

I only made a metacritic account to leave a good review for this game - it's bizarre that it gets so much hate and after playing it I can only assume it's because people didn't like the LGBTQ elements, which is pretty messed up. I only made a metacritic account to leave a good review for this game - it's bizarre that it gets so much hate and after playing it I can only assume it's because people didn't like the LGBTQ elements, which is pretty messed up.     After seeing this game get the GOTY award over so many other enjoyable titles, I was really looking forward to playing this especially since the first game was one of the best I have ever played. While the graphics and gameplay is good, a game like this is story driven and this story is horrible.     I was a very big fan of the first Last of Us and I loved the story it told, as well as the Ellie backstory told in the DLC. That was a game that I could continuously play, trying to get every trophy possible. Not going to lie but the leaks and story spoilers gave me some reservation about the sequel. However, I was willing to give the Last of Us Part 2 it’s fair chance. After finishing theI was a very big fan of the first Last of Us and I loved the story it told, as well as the Ellie backstory told in the DLC. That was a game that I could continuously play, trying to get every trophy possible. Not going to lie but the leaks and story spoilers gave me some reservation about the sequel. However, I was willing to give the Last of Us Part 2 it’s fair chance. After finishing the game, I am in the middle when it comes to how I feel about the game. I did not hate (loathe) the game but I did not love or enjoy it as much as I had been hoping for. Rather, I was indifferent to it.

    I feel The Last of Us Part 2 had a lot to live up to given the really high bar the first game setup. My biggest critique of the story is that it was too convoluted for what it should have been. Naughty Dog tried to throw too much story at once, rather than tell a good solid story in one game to establish Abby's character and her motivation as she hunted Joel, more than likely setting up a showdown with Ellie in The Last of Us Part 3 for example. I also feel that Ellie’s falling out with Joel would have made for an even better DLC.

    Whatever momentum was built by playing as Ellie or Abby gets reset as the game changes from character to character. After a while, the game just became about upgrading all weapons and abilities and exploring every nook and cranny for secrets and even easter eggs. So by the end of the game I wasn't attached to anyone and felt indifferent to the story and all of my actions as playing as each character. The fact that the last confrontation did not give me the choice on how to deal with Abby, lessened Ellie's story to me and added to my indifference to the game. The game could have easily ended on a much higher note with Ellie and Dina living on their farm post the first confrontation with Abby.

    My sole rant about the game is that I hated being accompanied by other characters. I found them constantly getting them in my way. It didn’t matter if it was Dina, Jesse, or Lev. They all annoyed me beyond belief because they somehow kept moving in front of me and impeding my movement, especially in stealth mode...    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is by no means the greatest game ever made, but it's no dumpster fire either. And lemme point out that I am NOT being paid to say what is said in this review.

    Story: The story is one of the boldest I have ever experienced. I saw Joel's death coming a mile away (not because I saw the leaks that came out in April, because I didn't), and yet I was still absolutely drowned in sadness and anger for his killer. And Ellie had to watch. People say it was completely out of character for Joel to die the way he did, but that's the thing: Joel in this game isn't the same man as the man we played in the original. Throughout the first half of the game, you experience flashbacks with Ellie and Joel, learning that the Firefly incident is driving them apart, and once Ellie learns the truth, Joel becomes a much more sensitive man, and after that, he's not the hardened killer we once knew. It became his instinct to not straight up torture or run over every dude that he comes across, and in the end it's an incidental slip-up that gets him killed.

    Once Joel is killed, Ellie is filled with hatred and rage for Abby, the girl that killed Joel, and she goes on a suicidal revenge mission to Seattle to find and kill Abby and all of her friends that were present to Joel's killing. But as she gets closer and closer to that goal, she starts to lose herself, turning into the person that Joel never wanted Ellie to be. She becomes this unrecognizable monster that we (the players) and her friends don't recognize. In the end, Ellie becomes the villain of this story.

    As for Abby, the reason why she killed Joel is because Joel killed her dad, who was the surgeon in charge of the Firefly outpost in Salt Lake City, and possibly the last man on the planet that could develop a vaccine to the pandemic. This rage is recognized in Ellie once Joel is killed. Abby is filled with rage and hatred for Joel, that she follows up on leads on where he could be, and end him once and for all. However, once Abby has accomplished her goal and returns to Seattle with her friends, she wonders if it was worth it or not. And as she's in the middle of a territorial war with these cultists, she runs into two kids that are on the run from their own kind, and Abby starts to develop a responsibility for these kids, since they saved her life from being hanged and gutted. And so she goes to great lengths to do the best for these kids, and protect them with all her might.

    That is the genius part about this story: Ellie and Abby eventually turn into the people that they hate the most: Ellie turns into Abby, and Abby turns into Joel. It's very enticing to see how much these two characters change by the end of the game. Which brings up the final point of the story: the ending.

    Ellie and Abby are on a beach in California, about to escape, when Ellie stops Abby, and then they have a fight to the death. Ellie was nearly victorious, and on the verge of drowning Abby. If Abby had died, I would've been content with that, since it would've been the appropriate ending. But, personally, I like the real ending more. As she is in the middle of drowning Abby, the Ellie that we once knew starts to resurface, and starts realizing what she's doing. Abby spares Ellie at the beginning of the game, and in the middle, when Abby is about to choke to death from being hanged, Lev (one of the kids that Abby starts to care for), saves Abby, who spares Ellie again when she is confronted in the theater, who eventually saves Abby and Lev's life from the slavers in California. Ellie has done so many terrible things to get to this point, that killing Abby no longer means anything. Ellie remembers that her last conversation with Joel was a good one, and decides to spare Abby in the end.

    Once Ellie returns home, she can no longer play the guitar, because two of her fingers were bitten off by Abby during their fight on the beach. Which leaves this empty feeling in Ellie, and she leaves her guitar and her home behind, hoping that one day, she can live the life that Joel wanted for her. It makes you wonder what will happen in The Last Of Us Part III (if there's ever gonna be one).

    I'll briefly go over the rest. The gameplay hasn't changed much compared to the original game, which came out in 2013, but it's stealth gameplay makes for some tense situations, whether it comes between dealing with dudes with guns, or the terrifying infected. You have to use anything at your disposal in order to succeed in any situation. The game is easily the best-looking game ever made for the PS4, and runs smoothly at 30 FPS, even on older PS4 models. The game hasn't crashed on me once, and I've played through it 3 times already. And the music is very deep, and I still listen to the soundtrack from time to time.

    In the end, this game is good, and I hope this game stops receiving dumb, intoxicating comments involving the story, sexual orientation, and death threats towards the devs and actors.    … Expand

    Utter garbage. Avoid at all costs. The paid reviews for this game, much like the train-wreck that is RDR2 will have you second guessing yourself. Make no mistake, this game is as unbearably terrible as you think it is.

    Apart from the repetitive combat scenes and long loot sessions, the game is incredible. It's a rollercoaster of emotions and the ending hides multiple valuable messages. Mid game I had doubts about Naughty Dog's choices, but they did the character development right to make the end work. What a masterpiece!

    I don't understand why this game has such low user score. Definitely the best game of the 2020 year. Great emotional story. As good as the first part. Respect for the devolper - Naughty Dog.

    One of the best designed games from start to finish. Awesome story in the truest form of the word. A couple parts felt slowish but all in all an amazing game and sequel to finish what is probably my favourite ps4 game to date. Was actually the reason I bought the console. Had extremely high hopes for the game that delivered on every front. I don't understand the low ratings.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
