    After the twist early on that hits like a gut punch I was worried that this wasn’t the story that I wanted from a follow up to the last of us. As the story continued however I was won over. By the end I loved the journey that part 2 takes the characters on.

    I enjoyed this game from start to finish. The story evolves naturally straight after Part 1, pulling at my emotions and causing conflicting feelings at the right times in the story. The game is long and progression of enemies is masterfully done, introducing unique situations in familiar game play. This by far is my favourite game of the PS4 era. I couldn't be more hungry for at least oneI enjoyed this game from start to finish.     I'll start with the good one, the game has excellent graphics, one of the best at the moment, good gameplay. On this, the positive aspects end.     The one is for the graphics. Everything else is complete brainwashing **** The story is **** the characterization of many characters is **** the pacing is **** and even the animations don't look that impressive. The story is ruined by the SJW brigade at Naughty Dog and I don't expect anything good to ever come out of this company again. Anybody who gives this a 10 is a brainwashed mongoloid.

The gameplay mechanics are almost the same, the graphics are stunning, the gameplay feels repetitive, the first like 4 hours of gameplay are ok, but man, the story is lame, the writer thinks im gonna have empathy w a whore that killed Joel when most of the players (including me) wanted to kill that **** they don't only give us a mediocre story that deserves a 6/10 at most, but they dont give us the option to kill that slut. On top of that they dont know how to make characters evolve,
    Im gonna say this only 1 time for those "social warriors"out there: I DONT CARE ABOUT THE SEXUALITY OF A CHARACTER OR A WOMAN BEING THE ENEMY OF THE STORY. If theyre lesbians, bisexuals, asexuals, pansexuals, trans or they like to **** Clickers, im only a dude who enjoys a good story, w good character developement and a good ending, and this game didnt have any of those. Dina is just the love interest for Ellie and does nothing relevant in the game exept for being pregnant and an emotional support that stop bein supportive when Ellie needs her the most. Abby is a formidable enemy that knows what she does, until the script says that she needs to be stupid, same goes for Tommy and Jesse. tbh its too dissapointing to play this game and found that this is what they came up with... im just frustrated and sad that they did this with a franchise that could have been legendary.
    But hey, im just a 20 yo who knows nothing, maybe u will like it give it a try after playing the first one. But mi personal advice is that u play the first one and never ever play the 2 one.    … Expand

    I put in 15 hours so far with this game. I have to say overall it's decent. It isn't bad but it isn't good either. Want happen with these major video game critics? What happened with being honest about how the game really is? If some critics think it's a fantastic game. That's fine! But you're telling me every critic loved it? Than you have those brief moments that really connect you to the game and it's characters. Which Naughty Dog did a fantastic job in doing. But it doesn't make up for the mediocre revenge story. They could have taken story at any direction 3 hours into the game. I feel like most critics are giving it superb ratings more for the graphics and the gameplay. Which they should always focus on what comes first, the story! Especially with a game that is story based only! And with that regard. I feel that this game was overhyped! It's a Rent, not a Buy. I do recommend people playing it for themselves and renting before spending $60 on it. Some will like part 2 some will dislike it. Graphics: 10/10

    The escence of the first game is completely lost, no more story regarding to Ellies inmunity and to the infected, the influence and message of the firelies is no more, etc.

    Pros.
    The graffics are perfect and the game looks just beautyful.
    The mesage that the game sends is clear and valuable.
    It is a grat example of a story and a game that sends politic ideas without being forced and unpleasing.
    The animations are next gen and the game is greatly immersive. The music and soundtrack are a masterpiece.
    The work on Elilies character is perfect and human.
    Every character has its development even if they are no good.
    The game achieves what it was meant to, even if it doesnt live to vague expectations.    … Expand

    It just makes me sick how they all of a sudden wrote the beloved characters from the first game in such a way that they try and make you hate them and they're forcing you to think they're villians. There are so many plot holes too like Joel and Tommy telling random people where they live and what their names are despite the first game being all about not trusting anyone.

    All I'll say here in closing is imagine if John Wick did what he did and then let his dog's killer go free at the end.    … Expand

I think people just dislike the game because they were so ruthless... it was a tough game but non the less a peace of art. SPOILERS!!
    I think people “hate” the game first of al because it’s “cool” to hate it now but also because they killed Joel, Jesse... and Ellie didn’t get her revenge, and lost everything for it... she didn’t want to do to the thing to Lev that Abby did to her... also this game focused on the fact that there are ALWAYS 2 sides of a story and no matter how right you think you are, it will be a horror story for someone else and you will be the bad guy even tho you do “what you have to do...”
    Long story short don’t hate the game because they make bold decisions... live doesn’t alway have an happy ending and I doubt that will change in an apocalyps... whatever you say it was a peace of art, a shocking but wonderfully written story.     Its like the developer really doesn't understand what made the first game great and so compelling. What made the first game great is the relationship with Joel and Ellie, that all gets thrown out the window in part 2. Just go play the first game and you'll have a much better experience.

In a world where social stigmas have been destroyed, of course there is going to be more openly LGBT people, no one is talking about how realistic that is. Imagine *feeling like* “LGBT agenda is being shoved down your throat” because of representation. Talk about bigotry. It’s a good game. It tells a dark and gripping story with fragments of hope scattered throughout. Really cool new types of infected and even a crazy boss fight goes down. There are some moments of frustration, like how there is so much aim drift on a controller (I really don’t know how they expect us to aim without upgrading stability). Playing as Abby was frustrating at first, but Lev makes it a really engrossing narrative. Also, I really like how Tommy gets a respectable amount of screen time. Joel died, that was sad. But that doesn’t give you the right to review bomb Naughty Dog before playing it. There’s so much fake news about this game, just go play it and make your own opinion.… Expand

At first i did not enjoy Abby at all as many would agree, but diving into her character was oddly amazing experience. we’ve grown so much love for Joel and Ellie that we forgot how grounded this world is, how consequences matter and that no one is safe. Ellie realized when she was about to kill Abby that she needed to let go of the guilt, shes lost everything because of revenge, Joel, Jessie, Dina and JJ. most importantly she started to lose herself. Abby has lost everything as well, her dad, Owen, and yara. they both lost everything due to revenge, it goes to show that nothing good come from revenge. Only Loss. this game is a masterpiece, one of the most controversial games ever and Naughty Dog did a FANTASTIC job with this game. By far one of the best games of all time and is my Game of the Year.… Expand

Poor character development, plot holes here and there, terribly stereotipic narrative (Spec Ops the Line, Far cry 3 - you can have better philosophy on this narrative direction there).

    This games is, gruelling. Not in a good way. The graphics, mechanics, sound and music are top tier. But the entire story is just, bad and full of plot holes and character inconsistencies and awful choices.. If you have to play this buy it second hand, lord knows there will lots of copies on ebay/Facebook soon.

The game is full of plot holes and was excruciating to play through it started off well, the game was visually beautiful, the game play was a bit clunky and felt outdated, the lack of puzzles in the game as also a bit disappointing, and the story well it felt too forced and the ending was terrible Ellie did not get get revenge at all in the end which was just a waste of time if you didn't get to soar Abby's brains all over the wall instead you lose 2 fingers and she gets away is this a full game? I didn't enjoy killing puppers at all… Expand

Personally I do not understand the reviews on both sides, certainly the game is beautiful and that is undeniable, the gameplay has not changed much but it was already good in the previous opus. The music is perfect one of the best sond tracks I've ever listened to and I thank Santaolalla for that.

    Thoroughly enjoyed the game, an emotional roller coaster highlighting human decisions and the questionable morality that follows. The relationship between Ellie and Joel can be understood the more you play and with the surroundings. It may not be the follow on we expected, but it surpassed my expectations and would play again.

    Great game, great story and amazing controversy. My real opinion would be 9/10 for a bit of a drawn-out second half, but for review bombing countermeasures I give it 10/10.

    This game is like North Korean propaganda movies. The Last of Us 2 force you to go through naughty dog's lame Political Correctness propaganda and it is not fun at all just like North Korean movies are.

It's an offense to the work that had the first title, the characters are horrible, the plot full of inconsistencies and things that have to happen because if to advance the plot, the characters are a shadow of what they were before (And no, to justify it by saying "is that time passed" is crap) the gameplay is minimal compared to the movies (Try to face the problems and not just in stealth mode and see what is really gameplay, nothing compared to what they promised)

    I have to commend the efforts of the team, but this is NOT the game we wanted. At all. Seems like Naughty Dog is out of touch with its fanbase.

I was even willing to go along with them killing Joel even though the scene was poorly done. However it went from an exhilarating ride in the first half to a terribly written chore to get though in the 2nd half. The decision to control Abby for half of the game will go down as one of the worst gaming decisions ever. Joel/Ellie and the players deserved a better send off then this.… Expand

But you can't make a sequel to one of the best videogames ever with this pathetic level of writing, I know that some reviewers and crybabies will be giving it a 10/10 so I'll slightly compensate that with a 0/10. I hope Naughty Dog learned their lesson, although I doubt it.
