    First: A great videogame needs a symbiotic of good gameplay and a nice Story.

    Gameplay: most of the time i think it's One of the best ps4 games 9/10...... BUT

    Story : what i van say to subscribe it F i could i wouldd give it a negative rating. ****

    I Wish i could delete the memories of the game. Finished it One hour ago and thank the lord my roommate payed the bucks.

Yes the mechanics are great just like first game but naughty dog completely slapped its fans in the face with the story. Absolutely atrocious. I spent all game angry at getting to the next chapter. How can you kill off the games most beloved character? And how could you make a revenge game where the characters doesnt even get revenge at the one person who killed someone close to them? Abbey is just the worst character and even worse you have to play as her. Who wants to play as the killer? Naughty dog absolutely dropped ball on thos game. However the line ‘This can’t be nothing’ is literally not true. Once you’ve finished it it literally has been for nothing! SAVE YOUR MONEY please

I'm not finishing it, I actually play games to enjoy myself and there's nothing enjoyable about whatever this is supposed to be. Also no spoilers but REALLY! I have replayed the game nearly 20 times, and sometimes when I'm bored I'll just replay random chapters. I've watched, and rewatched, Youtube playthroughs. That's how much I love it. Joel and Ellie are my favorite characters in any video game. So when the second game was announced, you can imagine how excited I was. When the first trailer was released, you can imagine how excited I was. With each step closer to the release, my anticipation grew. I preordered the special edition, prepared to spend $200 on this game. THAT is how much I love TLoU. When the leaks first surfaced, I put my foot down and refused to look. Naughty Dog created Uncharted and TLoU, my favorite video games EVER. I refused to doubt them. A week or so passed, and I'd successfully avoided spoilers. Then I saw it. Stupidly, I scrolled through a comment section, and my eyes caught on the words: "Joel dies". My heart sank and I immediately kept scrolling, trying to convince myself that I hadn't seen it, that it was probably fake anyway, that I could simply move past it. But here's the thing... when I say Joel and Ellie are my favorite characters, the emphasis is on Joel. I. Love. Joel. So naturally, my imagination started racing. "Do I want to spend $200 on the game if Joel dies?" So I took the leap. And I will forever be grateful that I did. Within 2 minutes of reading the leaks I was crying, cancelling my preorder and unable to fall asleep that night. I cannot describe to you the heartbreak and rage that I felt at discovering what would happen to my beloved characters. That was weeks ago, and I've since cooled down. Before this game was even released, I mourned for Joel, went through the stages of grief. So now, at the time of release, I'm no longer raging - I'm just disappointed. Now I've been watching playthroughs, and the graphics are as beautiful as expected. I live in Seattle, and even THAT isn't enough to get me to buy this game. Do you know how excited I was, when I first heard the game would be in my home city?! The idea of exploring Seattle with Joel and Ellie was MINDBLOWING. Now, it's an afterthought. Exploring Seattle within this graphically stunning video game isn't enough. I will not ever be purchasing this game. I will never even buy it used. Now let me explain why.

    I believe in the freedom to create whatever art you want to create. I, however, am also free to despise that art. And I do. If the story was true to the characters and felt honest, things would be different. But it's not, so here we are. They destroy the very foundation of the characters that we love. If you think for one second that Joel Miller would trust a group of strangers enough to follow them into a closed space, and let his guard down enough to give his real name then you DO NOT KNOW JOEL. End of story. If you think for one second that Joel wouldn't have pulled out his gun after being shot in the leg, you DO NOT KNOW JOEL. Joel, fundamentally as a character, at his core, would never follow a group of strangers when he's completely outnumbered and knows that he has a bad reputation. Because of this, his entire death scene loses all credibility.

    Let me be clear and say that I'm fine with Joel dying. His death could have been a devastating, beautifully done moment. Instead, it's fundamentally untrue to his character and only serves as shock value. Instead of inspiring the player, it leaves you with nothing but bitterness and coldness - toward the game itself. I've watched so many people become distant, cold, bitter, uninterested, and detached, during and after the death. I don't believe Joel would have EVER allowed himself to be in that position, therefore the entire scene feels empty, untrue, and forced. Joel is a survivor.

    Now since I have limited characters, I will skip to the end. Throughout the game you/Ellie kill thousands of people. And then suddenly, once you get to Abby, the end goal of the entire storyline... you get... nothing. Suddenly, after killing so many people, this one kill isn't worth it. Suddenly, killing gets you nowhere and shame on us for killing all those people just to kill Abby. Ellie is sad, revenge got her nowhere, it didn't bring Joel back and so on and so on. Abby, the ONE person in the game who successfully got her revenge, disappears into the sunset. Newsflash, Naughty Dog: WE KNOW KILLING IS BAD. KILLING BAD. WE KNOW. Guess what: IT'S A VIDEO GAME. You go through these games, generally, defeating enemies. Usually, by killing them. That's why we upgrade weapons, build our arsenals. It's at the core of these types of video games. So for you to use the boss battle to prove a point about "killing bad. Ellie realizes now. Not before, but now." Is laughable. Any player investment that survived Joel's death is killed off for good with an unsatisfying, anticlimactic ending. In the end, it was all for nothing.    … Expand

    I knew better than to get my hopes up too high for TLOU2 as most sequels are up against something their predecessors aren't; expectations. That said, I went into this with an open mind, knowing the game I loved before was over, and there may very well be developments that I won't be too pleased with in the new one.

    The opening reminds the player of the struggles you played through with Ellie in the first game. The hard fought battle to get halfway across the country and the fight to save her when she was going to be killed in the process of finding a cure. It's evident how much Joel's grown to view her as family. Even, dare I say, have found happiness after all. And then, almost immediately, NaughtyDog smashes it all to pieces.

    There's a lot of praise for the graphics and polished mechanics but I really don't care, like at all, about that. The most exhilarating part of TLOU was the story. The world you're put into and the characters lives you follow make the whole gameplay experience a true adventure that keeps you buzzing from one cutscene to the next. If I'm honest, the gameplay itself in the first one was always a bit wonky and took some adjusting to get comfortable with. TLOU2 takes all of that away. What's left is a sad and hopeless trip from one miserable scene to another with awkwardly forced LGBT campaign ads peppered throughout becaussse... equality? Not only does the dreariness of the circumstances really take it out of you, the attempt to make the game feel open world by making 4 or 5 paths to get to same spot extra boring when they're all empty. The reward for exploring is minuscule and usually barely worth the effort. The occasional puzzle also feels elementary and disjointed to what's going on. It's not creative or fun to solve, it's just time consuming.

    The biggest failure of the entire game is the characters. It nearly completely loses all grasp of the character traits, which were so thoroughly illustrated, in the first game. Even the characters in the current game seem to make decisions that are bizarre based on what the game shows you about them up until the new shock moment. One second they're clever and calculated and the next they're rash. One moment they're compassionate and the next they're cold blooded. None of it makes sense.

    It's the biggest cop out to make a crap nonsensical story and then blame the fact that it's crap on the assumed hatred of the people who call you on it. Give me a break.

    For the love of God, save yourself some money and heartache and pretend that this story ended when Joel got Ellie back to Tommy's.    … Expand

    this game unfortunately is a big disappointment after 7 years of waiting part 2 was released to a franchise that didn't need a sequal however this cash grab was a giagantic failure because of these reasons:
    cons:

    1. character introduction they added like 20 new characters gave you no back story on most of them you have no attachments to them and they feel like throw away people used to show how quickly and dry people can die like Jessy dies randomly for no reason but to shock you however you have no attachment to him so his death is meaningless this also shows with dina as she is just there sometimes while exploring bringing up random stuff like how her sister took her too a church and then goes on about the holocaust when no one brings it up

    2.every male character is belittled as a psycho or killed leaving only tommy left bearly alive. not to mention that abby is built like a bulking lower end body builder and is completely unrealistic as a 7 year male lifter is bearly bigger than her and she managed to get that big in 4 years unless she was taking a crazy amount of estrogen blockers but even then she would only be on the same level of a man and would at least take 14 years to get to that level not to mention the proper nutrition that she is probably not getting considering yunno its the APOCALYPSE!!! the male characters are instantly misdemeanour'd as soon as this journey begins when the 'bigot sandwich' is delivered this just show the demographic is rousty teens and she don't need no man kinda people and the male cucks that go along with it and it is always cringey when big company's try to act progressive

    3. the order of events is messed up they should have explained why abby wanted to kill joel instead telling it way after this would have contrasted emotions

    4. they should've killed joel appropriately and for reference it should have been that farther figure death like in the walking dead games where lee dies protecting clem and you can choose whether to kill him or let him turn not some heman jacked up on an incredible amount of steroids killing him slowly with a golf club

    5.the game-play is just a RTX version of the last of us remaster and doesn't look any better than just red dead redemption 2 with better level design

    6.ending is dogcrap and whoever came up with that should have been executed immediately the writers are literally retarded hire some professional writers if u don't know how an ending works

    pros:

    1.good music

    2. one flash back of ellie's birthday with joel (depicts well the first game and is so good and should have developed on it with the progression of joel lost his daughter then finds what he lost with ellie and that is what make the game good in the first place)

    3.the 2 characters lev and Yara were the only well developed characters in the whole game

    4.looks good however not as good as some games however keeps to the standed of 2020 graphics

    conclusion: waste of $60 and the person who leaked this game is a god who saved a lot of people money not including me as i wanted to be unbiased and hadn't seen them and the game journalists are just saying it is good because how well received the first game was and was considered the best game ever made therefore they didn't want to go against the mob they thought would be therefore they were dishonest to cater to the accomplishments of the game before.

    therefore to me this is not cannon and i will remember the first game and try to forget this nightmare    … Expand

    Good move Naughty Dog, killing the iconic character of the first one to stage the lgbt community was a shot in the foot, I think there were much better ways for you to make pink money than killing a weightless character in the narrative, he just died and you put a cutscene already passing to Ellie in the cabin.

Such a fan disservice the story and a complete 180 from the magic the Last of Us captured years ago. This game could've easily picked up from where the last game ended and gone from there.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. All I can say is i’m disappointed. They build up trailers and ads for the game for years, a game people have been waiting on for 7 years. They make you think everything is fine the first hour or so of the game is good you get that Joel and Ellie bond everything is nice and you feel the nostalgia then 2 hours in a random character with no backstory comes in and kills 1 of the main protagonist like it’s nothing. He strolls into a place full of armed strangers and just tells them his name no problem which would never happen considering the character they’ve built for Joel. Then they try to force you to feel bad for his killer and sympathize with her through about 40/50% of the game and then they don’t even give you the satisfaction as Ellie to kill her. Wow. Ellie kills hundreds of people including a pregnant woman and then right at the end she has exactly what she gave up her family with Dina for and then just says “you know what, revenge bad go ahead live your life.” It hurts me even more that she promised Tommy, then makes the journey risking Dina in the process and then doesn’t even fall through with it instead saves her life and let’s her off with no problems. All I can say is wow, the biggest slap in the face i’ve seen from game devs in a long long time.… Expand

    I'm giving a 2 because the graphics were generally great and the gameplay was top notch at certain spots. The overarching story just left such a bad taste in my mouth that I can't in good conscious give this much higher. The direction they went just wasn't it as I think many will agree with me.

    I'm all for character diversity and definitely think representation is important but I suspect many will try to defend this game because it "champions" diversity and will try to downplay the fans negative reaction to this game's story direction.    … Expand

The fist game ended with with hope for a better future but this game is bleak story throughout with no fun or joy throughout the game.     the graphics 10/10 stunning views.
    game-play is basically the same not much improvement but its not a problem i loved the original game play anyway.
    story 1/10 i don't know what were they smoking to even think this was art such a shame, because of this i did not enjoy the game at all the only thing i enjoyed is the flashbacks and that's it.

What they’ve done here instead... is bend the innocent player over in such an angle that you’re nose can touch your knees, and shove their SJW styled fist so far inside you that you’ll thinkWith Naughty Dogs platform, they had a chance to weave in a strong and powerful message in a delicate, subtle manner. They could have done this while staying true to their original story and concepts. New developers and writers simply kill off and re-write characters from the first game and replace them with their own new cast. No love or attention is paid at all to the story of the first game. some of these negative reviews are hateful/homophobic, but I really regret giving them $60 dollars for this, it is worse than I could have imagined.

    Joel acts completely out of character and dies in such an anticlimactic way, then you play as his killer for 8 hours. Even finding out why she did it doesn't help, she's such an obnoxious, poorly written character. This series is damaged beyond repair and I will make sure not to support anything from these writers again.    … Expand

The only aspect in which this game triumps over the previous is graphics. Nothing else. The first game sure did not have as expansive maps. However, no matter where you went in the first game, there was substance. One I can think of right of the bat would be the giraffe map, where I vividly remember getting very emotional just by the surroundings. No dialogue or any character interaction needed. Several maps made me feel in such a way. In this game, sure they all looked amazing. But that awe factor was always missing. Furthermore, this game, at its core, is a zombie game. There were no new interesting with regards to fighting newer, improved zombie species. It all felt empty. In the first game, you constantly feel in the wedge of your seat when you're up against a horde of zombies, providing maximum immersion, which I simply did not feel. Construction of materials with construction tables felt empty, as you could simply run through most enemies anyway. Not even gameplay triumps over the last, as it just all felt empty and often loses sight of what made gameplay so immersive in the first game. Last but not least, story. Oh boy. Neil Druckmann did not only spit in Joel, he spot on every single fan waiting eagerly for 7 **** years. Killing off a beloved, main character for no **** reason, with a brand new introduced character doesnt do any justice and is simply poor writing. The criticism here is not that it should not have killed Joel. It is simply the the way it was executed. Simply saying " that's what it is supposed to make you feel" is utter jibberish and a blatant excuse for bad writing. "We are setting a dark tone over the previous game by providing such sudden deaths, making your feel unlawful about the reality of this situation" as a narrative tool **** embarassing, commonly used by 12 year olds in their essay writing at school. The first game, provided an extremely dark and gruesome narrative, no less that the current game, while providing refreshing and immersive narrative. This game achieves nothing beyond the last game in any of these regards. It instead uses cheap techniques to force affection for **** Abby who is disliked greatly not because of **** political issues such as her appearance of gender orientation, but simply because she was a poorly written character, who barely had any character building whatsoever, making crucial decisions and drove the plot into the ground as a result, starting with Joel's kill. Cheap tactics like showing Abby exhibit affection for dogs while playing as Ellie requires you to kill dogs is only catering towards gullible minds of **** children. Narrative decisions like Ellie being unhappy after Joel tells off Seth is just **** g out of character from the Ellie in the last game. All of these characters we have known to live and appreciate simply seem greatly out of character. It's just bad and it is saddening for people, like me, who have waited for 7 **** years for what's most important, a good **** story. The adventures of Ellie and Joel. Character development with regards to several issues in the past game. Even addressing the lie that Joel said to Ellie was rushed within one sad excuse of a flash back in this game that lasted less 5 min. The only portion of this game's narrative that felt like it captured the essence of the previous game was the flashback of the museum trip on Ellie's birthday. That's all. I might not have extrapolated in certain specific aspects of the game, and where it all went wrong, as I hope to provide only the general overview of the disappointment for this game. As for the community side, please, I beg of you, do not use the excuse of "the game made you feel exactly as it wanted you to" , is not **** justified. I am honestly astonished by this stance. At the end of infinity war part 1, I was **** astonished that the villain literally killed major protagonists. It made me feel as intended, without hope and astonished by the gruesome reality of the ending. The last of us 2 made me feel like the game as a whole is a disappointment. And if that is the intention of the game, then I'd be better off buying a PS5 and receiving air from it, as the Craig's list seller, decided to practice his artistic side in life intending to induce rage and **** disappointment. I don’t quite understand who thought this was a good idea and premise for a sequel. Of all the directions they could’ve taken they chose this absolute rubbish.     It's rare that I would tell someone not to buy a game instead of playing it for themselves to develop an opinion on their own. But as someone who made sure not to read any spoilers, I can safely say I would happily go back and not buy this game to save myself the heartache (and £50)

If you ever played the first Last Of Us and fell in love with the story and characters, then it’s best to steer away from this game and act as if it never came into existence. Graphics And visuals were amazing, but do we not expect that from Naughty dog already? We all expected the graphics to be stunning. Gameplay wasn’t anything groundbreaking. Still picks up the same mechanics from the first one just a bit more refined. This too was also expected from Naughty Dog. I may sound like an echo of many people’s complaints but I couldn’t help myself but to agree with many of the REAL die hard fans of the last of us.     The last time I played TLOU1 was two years ago. I can remember many moments from that game clearly. While I was far from an expert player, I greatly enjoyed all four of my play throughs. Apart from simmering annoyance and anger at the characters, moments of face palming and that "spicy" scene I remember little of the game. And I finished it today. It was just a mind numbing barrage of angry characters, senseless and meaningless violence, and intense feelings of betrayal at what Naughty Dog and Sony did to characters I loved. No matter how good the combat might feel from time to time, or how incredibly beautiful some terrain areas are, this game is a disappointment. The first game was all about the story and characters. This game is about revenge. Apparently. Because no one ever questions whether or not the endless stream of dead bodies they leave behind are worth it, no one questions if this is the right path. They just kill, and kill, and kill. Often without reason.
    Joel in the first game was very clear. Fighting is pointless most of the time. If possible, run. In this game Ellie seems to have either forgotten or ignores this advice. There also is no choice in the matter. In a game apparently meant to convey a moral message against violence, you are never given a choice if you want to kill or not. You just do.

    And that tidbit sets the example for the rest of the games characters. If able to kill someone; do so.

    The mountain of dead bodies in this game is at odds with the claim its meant to show how wrong killing people is.

    I could go on and on about a great deal of things, but I won't, other reviews are much clearer and more concise then I ever could be. This game is nothing like the first. It relies not on story and characters, but on boring and dull action, cut scenes with annoying characters, and constant references to things much more interesting than what you're doing at the moment they come up.

    While I rarely tell people to not buy something, as they might enjoy the product more than I did. This time I will say this: Don't buy the game. Its simply not worth the money, what you probably loved about the first game is missing here. Perhaps in a few years when you see a copy sitting somewhere for a few bucks you can not feel cheated. But until then, avoid this game.    … Expand

The characters are acting if they weren’t in the first last of us, and even the new characters we’re introduced to don’t really give us the love Joel and Ellie gave us in the first game. However, it did have some minor upgrades in gameplay (except the useless jumping mechanic) so that’s a pro. Politics is a touchy subject, so i’ll leave it up to you. This is (I think) the best way to sum it up. If you enjoyed star wars: the last Jedi, or game of thrones season 8, I think you’ll have a chance to enjoy the story, even if politics were involved.… Expand

    Mesmo sendo adiado diversas vezes para ser lapidado, o game apresenta diversos bugs que em alguns momentos chegam a atrapalhar a jogabilidade, como o fato do Rifle, apenas o Rifle não disparar... diversos flics pelo mapa e é claro, os clássicos problemas de atravessar objetos, paredes, grama, personagens dentro do chão e por ai vai....

    A história em si foi muito mal elaborada, personagens pouco explorados "tanto os novos quanto os antigos" você não cria nenhum vinculo afetivo com eles, apenas a sede de vingança para espancar a Abby até a morte, coisa que faz a história girar em torno deste objetivo, porém o diretor não deixa isso acontecer e decidiu manter Abby viva, mesmo tendo matado o protagonista principal da primeira parte e literalmente cuspido no passado. O jogo não trás nenhuma opção para o jogador decidir se quer ou não matar Abby para que ele tome as próprias decisões... faz o jogador simplesmente aceitar tudo e terminar o jogo com o sentimento que todas as horas de gameplay não valeram de nada.

    Joel foi praticamente transformado em um membro burro do grupo, já que no primeiro game o cara não confiava em ninguém, já nesse do nada resolve ajudar desconhecida, ir até o esconderijo do grupo todo inocente e ainda falar o nome pra todos... tem uma morte criada apenas para que o game tivesse um motivo para existir, já que ele é morto pela filha do **** médico figurante do final do primeiro jogo...
    Além de tudo, o jogo te obriga a jogar com a vilã e faz de tudo para que você se identifique com ela e crie carisma, o que de jeito nenhum acontece, vc quer matar a abby em todas as oportunidades.

    Porém, o final do game mostra que tudo o que jogou não valeu de nada, e que na real o jogo só queria te passar uma lição de moral regada a propagandas voltadas a assuntos políticos e sociais que são polêmicos nos dias de hoje, o jogo tenta passar a ideia de que a vingança não compensa e que temos que perdoar independente da maldade que o outro nos fez, só que ao longo do caminho a Ellie mata friamente diversas pessoas para finalmente ter a chance de matar a vilã mas desiste, ou seja as outras vidas foram todas em vão, se fosse pra perdoar, que ficasse em casa tocando o violão (com todos os dedos).

    Desse modo, digo que o game teve um hype muito grande regado a opiniões de críticos tendenciosos e trailers mentirosos que nos passaram a ideia que o jogo seria sensacional, tanto em história quanto a gameplay, mas entregarem um jogo que a história é péssima, uma jogabilidade que não impressiona em, porém tudo apresentado com gráficos lindos... ou seja, o jogo só tem gráfico.

    Para finalizar, o jogo vendeu uma propaganda enganosa que nos fez pensar que teriamos um belo jogo com ellye e o joel, mas nos obriga a jogar com a filha de um npc... Propaganda enganosa é crime!    … Expand

If your whole story is a revenge arc... the revenge must occur! Otherwise the entire journey was pointless! What’s the message of this story? It’s okay to kill hundreds of people in a journey for revenge just to let the perpetrator go free with no consequences.. then the hero returns home to nothing.     The only reason I give this a 2 rather than a 1 is to at least credit the talented programmers, artists, QA testers, and actors who worked on this game.

    However, the writing and script of the game is atrocious. If it were another game, I could forgive it. But the last of us is a game known for its story, themes, characters, and plot.     Watching paint dry is more interesting than some characters or story. I paid for a bad movie that I may not be able to return or get refunded. Controlling the characters inside buildings was clunky, don't know why this was an issue. Good on accessibility improvement. I don't know why it was rated 10...

It isn’t even about the fact that it literally destroys your beloved characters from the previous game, but also because it is completely devoid of any charm that the storytelling of the previous one had. The plot here is so scatter-brained that I still haven’t found a way to summarise it. They just went with whatever had the most shock value in THAT specific moment. And that means characters will switch personalities and motives back and forth like a yo-yo. It doesn’t matter if it’s unnatural for a character to behave a certain way, if it provides a shock value, they’ll put it in. So don’t expect to form any kind of a meaningful relationship with any character (including a certain new one they keep forcing the players to play as, even though audience has no connection with said character, and the parts where you play as them seem extremely tedious) because even by the end of the game, you wouldn’t know exactly who they are as a person. Heck even Ellie, the main character of this game! The only form of connection you will feel with the character is because she was important to you in the first game, because in this one she is barely a shadow of her former self. And I won’t even get into all the injustices done to Joel’s character so lets just move on. The gameplay, well its the same old same old. Don’t expect to be blown out of the water in this category either. They did polish it up a bit, but at the end of the day, the combat and stealth aspects are just as they were in the previous game, which is to say, outdated. The graphics are really gorgeous no doubt, but its still not enough to carry the weight of this incredible failure of a game. After all, with the new generation consoles coming out, plus the already state-of-the-art graphics in most AAA titles these days, this isn’t something that’s gonna blow your mind either. So, all in all, bad game. Doesn’t even work as a stand-alone story, because its not memorable or even good, in any sense.… Expand

    No sentí simpatía por abby después de lo que hizo.
    Me quedo con los flashbacks de ellie que para mí es lo que salva el juego, al igual que el gameplay, gráficos, detalles y la nostalgia.

    ¿ellie mató a un montón de personas que no le hicieron nada personal (que seguramente tenían una historia al igual que abby) para al final dejarla vivir?

Eli broke it.. then Unbroke it.. then broke it again which made the second half pointless aside from a few missing fingers. This doesn’t include the fact that I never enjoyed playing as the person who murdered my favorite character.. Sloppy writing at best.. so yeah.. there’s that.

    I feel like they rushed to get it out for Pride month. Just like Bethesda did with Fallout 76 for 2018 Christmas.

    The story is blah, The controls are funky as hell, but they have really nice graphic. Save your money and buy something else or try getting a refund.

They take Ellie and paint her as a villain for trying to avenge the death of a man who was basically her father. They make the fact that Joel saved her a bad thing, which makes her hate him to an extent. They make Joel have an uneventful and dry death that even makes us want to mourn for him as he didnt deserve it at all. The writing is dry, the characters are shells of what we knew them to be. The fact that they took Ellie from a happy bounding 14 year old to a mean, awkward 18 year old just sucks. They made a bad ending where Ellie loses basically everything and doesnt even get the revenge that she deserved. They made every last scene of Joel and Ellie, the two who went across the country, bonding along the way. They make the whole fact that Ellie basically had her father die, a bad thing. They make you also play a second character who is literally evil, and yet she lives on with a child she bonded to. All Ellie gets is PTSD, a lost love and child, and two missing fingers.
    All in all:
    They ruin the characters we love, mostly Joel as he gets isolated from Ellie as she turns away from him. They make you sad during the whole thing as it is just bad people everywhere that you don't like.
    They spit on Joel's image and what he did in the first game, ruining everything the first game made to build up.
    Same with Ellie as she gets painted as some bad guy who is a killing machine with no limit.    … Expand

You can say it is rediculous. Joel will never trust anyone easily, Joel will never go to anyone's place while he don't know that person , Joel will never help Abby for sure. Joel is very f**king CAREFULLY person in The last of us Pt.1. Only 4 years cannot change what what he did and was for over ten years.
