    In my opinion the story is not that bad but there some scenes which don't need to be in. The second half of the game is a bit boring because nothing really important happend there

Devote so much time to the gameplay, a character that you make hate from the very beginning of the game. I was not moved by her story. I just wanted to kill the whole game.     Disappointing in almost every way. Same old boring Naughty Dog gameplay... and where the first game was propped up by an amazing story, this game’s story is absolute rubbish. In a series built on narrative excellence, this is an unforgivable sin.

    Argumento ridículo para un juego ambientado en un mundo post apocalíptico... Nada tiene que ver con la historia original tienen la reivindicación femenina y el lesbianismo.
    Parece que lo políticamente correcto es lo único que cuenta en este momento, y eso no nos gusta a los fanáticos.

For those who say that this is garbage and full of plot holes, i'm sorry you’re just not mature enough to play this game. It pictures realism, and how almost nothing goes according to planned as we see in the majority of movies. The game leaves you with a bitter taste in your mouth and at the same time a glimpse of hope, as Ellie walks away without two fingers in a road to try and redeem herself. I really hope other game companies inspire themselves and look forward to creating more games such as this, it’s not every game that leaves you thinking for days after you’ve finished it. 10/10… Expand

Тема ненависти (жажды мести) и последующего "прощения" раскрыта просто потрясающе. Игра вызывает сильное эмоциональное опустошение и чувство несправедливости, из-за этого многие игроки (даже те кто не играл, лол) считают что игра плохо справляется со своей работой, только вот, главная цель игры как раз и заключается в этих вещах. Особенно разочаровало меня то, что многие люди не поняли концовку, называют ее ужасной, хотя те кто хоть немного думал над историей, поймут ее, и восхитятся какую работу проделали сценаристы. Для полного анализа потребуется как минимум отличный эссеист, а на этом сайте слишком много ограничений для действительно объективного обзора, уверен что скоро мы увидим что-то подобное, а я пока пойду рефлексировать после концовки.… Expand

    En resumen puedo decir que The Last Of Us supero todas mis expectativas en cuanto a narrativa, usar dos personajes diferentes y cuentan una historia de redención y venganza funcionó para mi. Un ambiente hermoso dentro del mundo apocalíptico.

    I bought my sister a copy for her birthday and one for myself, after playing through it with her I've decided to return my copy. I am so disappointed that this is what ND decided was a good route to take a beloved story. The graphics are gorgeous, gameplay is so-so (if it ain't broke don't fix it), but the writing is so out of touch with not only its own franchise but its fanbase. ND is a studio that's specialized in stories, so I'm weighing story the heaviest, but the plotlines for TLOU2 feel comparable to S8 of GoT. I was so excited for a badass female lead but was left with dissatisfied and heartbroken that they'd trash their own characters they spent years building up for a new barely fleshed out villain. If you want some basic shooting and crafting this is the game for you, but if you're expecting a well thought out and sincere story then it'd be best to skip this one. The character dialogue while exploring sounds is incredibly bland, hearing Ellie and Dina talk sounds like the sort of basic messages you send on Tinder. Characters are introduced then randomly killed off and never mentioned again, the writers introduce you to this psychopathic villain and then force you to empathize with them afterwards. The cult that's highlighted in the trailers just exists, it's never explored. It pulls the pregnancy card WAY too many times and kills people for shock value, which is a sign the writer really has no idea how to write a compelling plotline without nixing your favorite character. This whole game feels like I read a Tumblr fanfic, fells asleep, and woke up 20 hours later. Companies will keep producing crap so long as we keep paying for it, and they'll keep trying to charge more and more.… Expand

It moves the plot forward, creates new conflict, etc. Not everyone's has a happy ending, plus the LGBT+ representation makes for a game with lot of diversity.     Do not get all the bad reviews at all... Enjoyable game with great graphics and brilliant voice acting. Storyline was unpredictable but not unbelievable and showed a realistic story for this world!

    Сюжет очень хорош до момента, когда нужно проиграть весь сюжет за Эбби. Это ещё 10 часов игры за персонажа, который неприятен в связи с определённым поступком. Да, за эти 10 часов она уже не кажется такой ужасной, но по началу Эбби вызывает только отвращение. Концовка просто замечательная, хотя много кто говорит, что она слитая. Такое чувство, что в разные игры играли.Атмосфера выдающаяся. Думаю, тут никто спорить не будет.

    Я играл на фэт версии плойки и графика меня более чем устроила. На пк с железом 2013 года игра с такой графикой бы никогда даже не запустилась.

    Музыкальное сопровождение бесподобно, как и в первой части.

    Удобное управление. Если вы слишком криворукий для геймпада, то купите эмуль, но это никогда не сравнится с обычным дуалшоком.

    Дубляж неплохой, но, как заметил Алексей Шевцов, в озвучке нет мата. И из-за этого портится один момент связанный с Эбби и Львом. А также актёр, озвучивающий Джоэла поёт по-английски с диким акцентом.

    Физика и анимации тоже хороши, за исключением нескольких незначительных моментов моментов, никакой топорной анимации нет.

    Багов очень мало, оптимизация великолепная.    … Expand

Over the 20 hours of gameplay and exploration, including the tense moments of encounters with new infected creatures and new cults/groups was amazing. The music in tense, sad or happy which made certain situations brilliant, music sometimes can break a game, but the style of music was just right. The story, it’s clear that it is very difficult to creat a new character/characters and try to create empathy for them like the community care for Joel and Ellie. However, once seeing Abby’s POV and seeing who she was and what she has been through and lost in the past, also showing why she killed Joel does create empathy for her. Now in the 5-8 hours of seeing abby’s life and showing the journey of the days 1-4 also including the past sometimes, it’s worked what the game developers wanted to happen, at the end I didn’t really want to kill Abby, due to seeing her perspective and seeing who she was. Now with Ellie the flashbacks where Joel is there really is very effective and sad and the way his face pops up every now then shows the fact that Ellie now misses him and wishes she could have spent more time with him. The end flash back including the bar flash back really made me get emotional, tears, because to find out that they only just wanted to work everything out, but it’s sadly the day before Joel dies, it just hurt. This game has done really well to show emotion for characters and also I think it has a moral of the story, sort of like how this one thing made Ellie lose more then what she went in with, she lose Dina and JJ (we think), Tommy and his wife broke up, Jessie dies, Ellie loses two fingers so can no longer play certain keys on the guitar, and sadly most of all she chose to lose time with Joel by not forgiving him and realising cons of what he did but not the pros. Not all endings are happy, but this ending was furthing the point of what I said more or less (which is good and emotional). Overall a hugely emotional game, I am defo gonna play this game again just not now as I have to take it all in. I hope that a part 3 does come out in the years to come as I would love to see where Ellie goes and what people think of her at the city. I hope you all enjoy the game, also when playing it you real should read the notes found and listen to the dialogue and take it all in! Antes que nada es una lastima que haya personas asi, cuando quiero comprar un juego siempre miro la opinion de los jugadores, esto por que creo que es mas veridica (hay muchos rumores de que ciertas companias sobornan a los criticos) pero veo que no es asi. El review boombing que esta recibiendo este juego es horrible. Personas que a las 3 horas de que haya salido el juego ya estaban calificando esto con notas como 0, 1 o 2 sin haber ni siquiera terminarlo. Para todas esas personas les dedico un buen dedo del medio y les deseo que se vallan a la m****a.
    Ahora con el juego:
    La historia de the last of us, aunque no es perfecta, sigue siendo maravillosa. Los personajes tienen un arco que supera a muchas series de televicion. Ellie recorre un camino en busca de venganza por la muerte de joel. Pero no voy a contar mas que eso. La banda sonora sigue siendo increible, con una mezcla de los clasicos con canciones nuevas, todas con una guitarra o un banjo. En resumen suena increible.
    Los graficos creo que son otra de las maravillas que nos ofrece este juego, por suerte uso auriculares pero aun asi podia escuchar el ventilador de mi ps4 a punto de estallar.la jugabilidad es el punto bajo de este juego, si bien no es mala ( aunque a decir.verdad es bastante buena) no propone casi nada nuevo mas que las mecanicas de sigilo.
    El diseño de niveles es bastante parecido al primer juego durante la mayor parte: llegas a una zona elevada-ves el lugar donde tienes que ir-bajas y matas a todos los de la zona hasta que pasas a un lugar inospito-cinematica. Y asi la mayor parte del juego.
    En resumen The last of us es un juego hermoso, triste, pero hermoso. Es un juego que no se merece este nivel de review boombing, que tiene mucho para ofrecer y que invito a todos a probarlo.    … Expand

    I give this game a 1 star for the good gameplay overall. But everything else is terrible. I would recommend not buying as it is a waste of time on the game after waiting so long to get this garbage of a storyline.

    What we love most about first part? Joel’s and Ellie’s relationship. It would be awesome to see that in second part, but we didn’t wait 7 years for that. We were waiting for a game with best graphics, gameplay, story and we did get that! Plus we got a small, fantastic episode of good old Joel and Ellie.
    Why can’t you just put aside emotional luggage from the first part and just play?
    This game doesn’t deserve fu**in deserve 4.4...Naughty dog doesn’t deserve this hate...    … Expand

    I finished it now. Man, what an experience. Truly. A roller coaster of emotions. I'm so glad i didn't spoil myself with the leaks. If i did knew them i probably would have been mad too. But without knowing them i experienced something like never before and it was amazing. It makes me a little bit sad that so many are thinking differently. But i can understand them a little bit. For meI finished it now. Man, what an experience. Truly. A roller coaster of emotions. I'm so glad i didn't spoil myself with the leaks. If i did knew them i probably would have been mad too. But without knowing them i experienced something like never before and it was amazing. It makes me a little bit sad that so many are thinking differently. But i can understand them a little bit. For me however it's one of the best games ever made (and i have played a lot of games). I hope Neil Druckmann keeps doing his thing for a long time.… Expand

I’ve had time to think about #TheLastofUsPartIl and I had seen a few spoilers before jumping into it and while it saddens me to have seen them I wasn’t gonna let it bother me From a visual standpoint this game was nothing story of one of the best games I’ve ever seen, The music might be only 2nd to Red Dead Redemption 2. The music was absolutely incredible and really knew how to hit the mood. From a character standpoint Joel and Ellie were.. well, Joel and Ellie. Dina was a very well put together character and it was a trip watching,
    Tommy go more and more mad as the story went on. Especially near the end, Jesse was a great new character was well to see. There are too many other characters to talk about in a review so I’ll just say. Some of them were hits and some were misses #TheLastofUsPart2 

    Now Onto the story itself... Is the story better then the first game... no... But that’s OK, because overall the story was while flawed at some points. A very enjoyable story for me. I think playing as Abby went a little too long but that’s OK.

    Seeing Ellie develop as a character throughout the second game as well as in the ending, realizing that no matter what she did wouldn’t change what happened or make her a better person showed true character development for her.

    My final thoughts. I really want to give this game a 10/10 But as of this moment I just can’t, maybe after a second Playthru and sitting down on it I can. But the graphics, sound and character were all great and the story was while flawed a good experience Overall. 9.5/10. Since 9.5 is closer to 10 than it is to 9. I’ll give it a 10    … Expand

    Gameplay is awesome (10). Characters are awesome (10) except Dani. Music is awesome (10). Cinematic Scenes are awesome (10). It's a Heart Breaking game. The overall story is good (7) but ellie and dani's story is garbage (0) and Joel (1000).

Speaking of the word end there isn't one it's pathetic it's the equivalent of the developer spitting in your face after already beating you into the ground. I really wish I could give this more than a 0 for the model/texture designers, animation devs, and people who helped sculpt the underlying fundamentals. But the writers poor job takes away the score I was going to give them. It is so bad that I am actually taking time to review a **** game instead of playing another one.

Story - I can't remember last time the game made me crying so lot. The "event" with Joel is very strong and truly right, cause we need new characters and the're good enough to love them. Playing 2 chars in 1 time is good way to tell us their story, motivations etc. You get into both characters. Some events are predictable but it doesn't make the story bad. The only thing is the ending, I got mixed feelings about it but I can't lower my score cause I really love this amazing game.… Expand

    It all feels like a repetitive task, with empty emotionless characters. It's almost like a PR stunt - they killed off the protagonist just so they could give Ellie a girlfriend - which nobody likes by the way. Not because of her "love" preferences, but because of how she is introduced: she is the one to kill Joel! Naughty Dog thought that a few-minutes-long introduction would've made up for that, and that we'd all start loving her. Well, they were terribly wrong.

    There is fair criticism for this game but it is buried beneath antisjw/xbox freaks who want to downvote this game. this game is good, it creates a incredibly unique situation which forces you to empathize which is unlike any other game. The story doesn't hold up to the first but it is also incredibly different. 100% worth a play.

Beautiful to look at but other then that just a horrible disappointment, weak story which just got progressively worse as game progressed. Unlike the original it left no mark on me but indifference. All the subtle nuance of the original replaced with a simplistic viciousness. It's so blatantly obvious & repetitive with it's message & themes. Treats it's audience like dumb 9 year olds. Overall just a big let down from what should of been a great end to PS4. Thank god for Cyberpunk & CDProjektRed! Oh and Ghost of Tsushima.

The only reason I give it a 9/10 Instead of a 10 is because of the last 2ish hours, where you leave Dina and JJ and go back for your last chance at revenge. I get why Ellie did it, she needed to reach that point of full on revenge to realize that it would bring nothing but more suffering and sadness. I just wish she would have stayed with baby momma lol. It showed that the people in this world were all dealing with the same struggles as each other. Its a post apocalyptic world, did people really think Joel wouldn't die? He killed a hospital full of fireflies in pt.1 and no one that there would be repercussions? Lol I loved the first one so much and I think I loved this one just as much. I didn't like playing as Abby at first, especially the first like hour or so, but by the end I saw her and Ellie as equals. Everyone in this world is fighting for something, and the mirroring of their stories was done perfectly. I don't want a 3rd game though lol this ended perfectly. Entendo quem queria uma história diferente do GAME, pois os criadores optaram por escolher uma historia baseado no ódio e perda, algo que muitos não esperam e não queriam. Mas dou meu parabéns pela Naughty Dog, por ter simplesmente mostrado a historia mais emocionando e linda que o jogo pode ter. Com certeza esse jogo vai partir corações, assim como partiu o meu, mas eu vi que era preciso para criar algo que afete o player. The Last of us was a legendary game. It still is today. The Last of us Part II, in my opinion, doesn’t really live up to the first game. The gameplay, most of the story, graphics, cutscenes, fighting animations, and overall the pace of the game was good. I enjoyed the music too. Excellent soundtrack. The parts of the game that are what really got me to give this rating are only a couple, but also very key things. First of all, the ending was horrible. It wasn’t bad, it was just so sad. I feel like the game just dragged on and didn’t do any justice in the end. It was a terribly sad ending. Ellie suffered so much throughout the game. In the end, she couldn’t even play the guitar. She never killed Abby. Which literally was the point of the game, or so the story made it seem that way, and it never happened. Secondly, playing as Abby. I hated that. After watching Joel die a horrible death at her hand, I was upset. Like literally upset. As if I had an argument with someone I hated, and I lost. Playing as her after that scene was just a punch in the gut. Also, the first fight between her and Ellie, where we beat Ellie up, was just not fun at all. Knowing what Abby did just made it so much harder emotionally. Another thing about Abby as well, going back and forth between her and Ellie messed the time lines up for me. At the end of the game there wasn’t an indication it had been a while and that Ellie got to Abby after Abby had been worked to the bone for a while. It was just like bam here she is a while later. The ending was so bad. Even writing this review I’m thinking of how sad and awful it was. Come on Naughtydog. I don’t even wanna see a part 3 now if it’s coming. One thing I did wanna touch on is the lesbian relationship that Ellie and Dina share. I think that’s really interesting and I liked it. It was a nice twist to the game and I am perfectly fine with lesbian characters. Who really cares. I mean they raised a cute baby. It was cool to see the family aspect. In a way, the game shows us that even after something as bad as a zombie apocalypse, there’s still love of all kinds. It was a good touch in my opinion. Not needed, but good. But overall, I rate this game a 4 out of 10. While there are more positives than negatives listed in this review, in my mind, those 2 negatives outweigh the positives. They really brought the game down for me. I almost put the game down when I played as Abby. That was the main problem for me. Like what Last of us fan wants to play as the murderer of Joel. What person wants to play a character who murders there favorite character in any other video game. Not many people. You could argue it was important to see Abby’s side of things, and yes that’s a valid argument. But I still don’t care enough to want to play as her. Anyway, the game wasn’t the worst. I’m glad it came out. It was an emotional rollercoaster for sure.… Expand

    I haven’t actually played the game but I’ve watched the entire gameplay on twitch. The graphics, environment and music were stunning but the story, oh my God, it felt like it was written by a 16 yo emo teenager. The ending made me regret wasting hours of my life watching the walkthrough. I love the fact that the critic reviews are so high. It shows you how biased they really are.

But If you're like me, you loved the first one for the story, the banter between Joel and Ellie as you walked around exploring, and the feeling that in hopeless moments in that messed up world at least they had each other. If this is you, I suggest you do some story-based research.

Voy a empezar con los puntos negativos, la duración y sobre todo el reset a mitad del juego hacen que se sienta innecesariamente largo, la inclusión y la sexualidad como punto medio central puede llegar a ser molesto, aun así no me molesto tanto para el final.

    Bueno ahora así, lo que me encanto del juego, lo primero que voy a mencionar es que la historia desde mi punto de vista esta a la altura, yo personalmente hubiera cambiado cosas de orden, sobre todo del inicio, pero el final me pareció mas que correcto, porque hermano, si después de las mas de 20 horas y haber pasado por toda la mierda del juego, y lo que el mismo te quieren transmitir aun queres completar la venganza de Ellie, es que sencillamente no captaste el mensaje, fuera de eso, el darle rostros y vidas a los NPC de la manera en que lo hicieron es de aplaudir. Del gameplay solo puedo deshacerme en elogios hacia Naughty Dog no recuerdo un juego con una violencia tan cruda y a la vez satisfactoria, disfrutaba cada combate mas que el anterior.
    Mención aparte lo místico que se siente el mundo, osea es basicamente Seattle luego de la pandemia, pero es que aun así el juego tiene momentos que llegan a sorprender demasiado.
    Por ultimo, solo quiero abogar para los que están dudando comprárselo por los spoilers del inicio y el final, y sobre todo la calificación baja de gente que probablemente ni lo ha jugado, señores no se preocupen este juego esta a la altura, es sin duda para mi uno de mis juegos favoritos de este 2020.    … Expand

I am really sad because I spent some money in this trash game, the game has some good moments but is like a bad movie. So our protagonist just kill a lot of people to get revenge and at the end "she has a redemption" thats not realistic, u can see zukos arc thats how u develop a character. Before I begin, I would like to specify that I have played through this game twice now, once on survivor and once again on survivor+, meaning I have a total of around 46 hours with the game. I would also like to clarify that I did love the first game, but I have never considered myself a Last of Us fanboy by any means. To open, I really, really enjoyed this game, for about 80% of my TOTAL time playing it. Hence the 8/10. To get the obvious out of the way, the game is gorgeous, the soundtrack is impeccable, the acting is great, and the gameplay was a HUGE step up from the first game for me (although I know many disagree). I also think that a lot of the story on Ellies side was executed well, although the writing itself definitely falters in depth and meaning. The fact that I was able to like Jessie and Dina AT ALL with how little we know about them and how shallowly they are written really goes to show how top-tier ND's performances are. The other 20% was unfortunately spoiled by the controversial, yet understandable structural decision to play as Abby, (who is both the primary antagonist and the secondary protagonist), for almost HALF of the games runtime. I understand why ND did this, as on paper it sounds like a very good way to add meat to an otherwise empty revenge plot, but it obviously did not work out as intended. I believe this is for a few reasons, and I would like to talk about most of them briefly. First of all, we have no connection to Abby prior to her golfing session with the old man. The primary character we have all been in love with for 7 years is taken out, and we're excepted to then sympathize with his murderer. Once again, I believe that this choice seems good on paper, but due to other faults with Abby, it fell far from the mark. This story would have had to have been executed perfectly in ever single way for it to have had a chance of landing with the audience. To elaborate more, the characters on Abby's side are utter garbage. It wouldn't be so bad, but before we even begin the Abby storyline we have the knowledge that Ellie kills literally all of them. This doesn't work, we already know they're dead. We have no reason to connect, and even if we did they are so shallow in their intentions and have one or two "values" that they spit in our face the whole game. Mel is passive, and hates Abby for both her brutalism and her past with Owen. Owen is a go with the flow kinda guy, who isn't passionate enough about his cause to continue on anymore. These are literally their primary personality traits. I think this is the games primary problem. By the time I got to the bulk of Abby's story, I wanted to stop playing. I didn't care about the characters, the gameplay was starting to get repetitive, and all I wanted was to see how the conflict in the theatre played out. HOWEVER, this completely changed on the 2nd playthrough. On the second time through, I had grown close enough to Abby through her final chapters in the 1st that I didn't mind her sections at all, in fact I think they are objectively better from a level design and gameplay perspective. Anyway this reviews kinda long already, but my point is that this game is like movies that you don't understand the first time. Give it a second go, and do so with an open mind. Overall great game, I was only being so critical because it's a direct follow-up to arguably the best narrative driven experience of all time.… Expand

    That storyline is a garbage fire, the gameplay get tedious quickly and it's just a very big disappointment over the last of us 1.
    The only thing saving the game are the graphics, and even then characters have a huge uncanny feeling.

    This game isnt bad by all means but the story is just bad and totally destroys what the Last of Us part 1 built. They forced us to play as Abby the one who killed Joel and the one who bashed Dina's head in and killed all of her friends. And the ending doesn't work either how are you going to give up after you spent all that time and all of your friends are killed and she also bit Ellie'sThis game isnt bad by all means but the story is just bad and totally destroys what the Last of Us part 1 built. The game forces us to remove the rose-color glasses that we have developed during our seven year wait since the first game. Just like Ellie, we learn that sometimes we have to see beyond what we initially believed or risk losing ourselves to stubborn hatred.

    In terms of gameplay and graphic, everything is stunning. The music is a beautiful as ever, haunting and tense in equal parts. I appreciate the broad accessibility options included in the game which are extremely helpful to allow anyone to experience the game. The combat and crafting are similar to the first game with enough variation not to feel like a rehash. That's not to say the game is absolutely perfect. There are a couple of pacing issues that would have been fixed by reshuffling some of the encounters. Actions like moving off ledges and jumping are a little heavy and stiff sometimes. But even with small gripes and concerns, they don't add up to enough to knock the game down from a 10.

    At the end I just sat there, listening to the credits and the sound of my own breathing. Where the last game was a final gut punch of an ending, this one is more like a slowly twisting knife throughout. And then, when you're done, you realized the knife is gone, even if you're not sure when that happened. For all that this is an incredibly dark and bleak game, I'd argue it ends on a more optimistic note than the first, making the entire 25-30 hour game incredibly worthwhile.    … Expand

    I know a lot of people are hating on this game right now but I think it is still worth a try especially if you really enjoyed the first game. The game definitely has it's flaws and there were some parts I didn't particularly like. Overall the game play was pretty good and and improvement from the first game. And this game is about ellie and her story ,should not be about abby if so why make the ellie edition and the playstation with her tattoo and Advertise Ellie so much and make us play abby half the game I would have been fine with maybe 2 hours to explain her reason why and some context of why she did it that's fine. But this should have been just about ellie and her journy.the graphics are beautiful the game play is pretty fun but the story did not cut it they should have made a happy ending not such a bad ending where you do kill abby and ellie gets to have a happy and peaceful life with dina and the baby that would have mad every one happier but they **** up that's it.     Naughty Dog has done it again; What an absolute masterpiece.

    I suggest playing on the hardest difficulty as it adds a lot of tension, and promotes use of your full arsenal during combat.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
