    Did not play the first game. Listened to both the hype and the critics and wated to make my own choice. Brought the game, played it for two days. Gave up on it as it only seemed to get worse. Took the game back and got a refund.
    Good graphics but thats about it.

    Gameplay, music, environments, artwork 10/10. The story pacing was horrible I hated or didn’t care about several characters or what happened to them except two, and they felt like a side show. Very disappointed.

    As a standalone game I'd say its deserving of a 6. However, in comparison to part 1's story that actually had significant characters that made you care about what happened to them and this game which seemed force plot lines down your throat and bring in secondary characters then kill them off before you even cared about remembering their names is disappointing.     I went into the game with only knowing of " the main spoiler " ( i hate golf ) which was leaked, I avoided everything else about the game luckily. I felt that helped my anxiety of playing not knowing when and enhanced my experience overall. As the game went on I started losing interest in the story, characters and the mid way point it felt a chore to carry on.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. ok so i know im a bit late to the party, and the game probably dident get better from me playing it with a couple of weeks break in between each sesion, but damn this game was just not able at all to draw me in. and dont get me wrong.

    so first of all this game i defenetly not a 0 a 1 or even a 2. it is atleast a 3. but at the same time it is no way near a 10 if the game had cut out about 1/3 of the game/storry and had a nother more "fair" end to it, it might had been like a 7 or at moste an 8

    i dident minde Ellie being Lesbian though i felt like it added something pretty meaning less to the "main storry" of the game.
    so before i start "bashing" the storry i wloud like to say that i love TLoU1 and the uncharted games with nathan drake as main character, with Uncharted 2 as on of my favorite games ever, and i will get back to this later.

    Ok so the game looks great, the gameplays feels nice and all that, but that is simply not enough to make up for the storry. So if i am to be honest i wloud have loved the idear of playing as Joel again, in another grand adventure with him and Ellie, but that was not the case, but i sertainly dont minde playing as Ellie. its actualy kinda nice i would like to say. and i love the flash backs, and would even say thoes are the best part of the game. all the sime wee get to spend with joel and ellie together even though they have their problems they are trying to overcome.

    But Ellie has become the strong woamn one would exspect her to become with Joel as her "mentor" and that is nice. so after playing about 10 hours as Ellie in this world that feels a bit like a open wold game but also a bit to small for it to be that. i found the maps to be a bit to big for a linear game and offen found myself runing around to loot everything/check it all out witch ad a lot of time to the game. but at the same time a bit too small.

    but then the game comes to the part where it all feels like its about to end with he faceoff between Ellie and Abby and its feels like its about to end in some spectaculair way, wich it probably should have, but it does not do that. and then you have to play like another 10 hours as the villan in withc i was just thinking the whole time "sooo am i soon done with playing as Abby?"

    and this i where i come back to the uncharted part. because in uncharte the lost legacy wee get a i got a very simleair experience with Nadime who is made one of the villans of uncharted 4, and i could just not make my self get any sympathie for her in lost legacy, and its the same thing with Abby.
    like no matter how sad it is for her that Joel killed her father and all that she still kiled Joel.
    and well on top of that they try to make one care for all her "friends" from the WLF witch just feels like a drag.

    like you spend a coulpe of hours with Tess in the first game and in that time i got way more attached to her than i got to anyone of the new characters from this game. what im trying to say is that the only "main" characters from this game i care about is Ellie, Joel and Tommy. thats it, i pretty mutch never end up caring about the rest of them.

    ok so after playing as Abby for way too long we finaly end up in the spot where wee played as Ellie last, and i was imagening that the game would shift over to playing as Ellie again, but instead after shooting Tommy in the head (witch he aperantly survives) it makes you fight Ellie and damn did i dislike that part even more than everything els in this game. HELL **** YES i disliked that a **** ton.

    well with out spoiling too much Ellie and Dina then survives and lives a "peacefull" life for a year or 3 witch also just feel like they are draggin the game/storry out, wich then ends in Ellie leaving to finaly REALY kill Abby.

    well the game redeems it self a bit with the last cutscheen with Ellie and Joel talking alone.

    soo in conclusion dont by the game, watch it on youtube or someting.

    i was really disaponted by it and i had keept my self away from ALL spoilers besidel like a trailer or tow.

    if i were to end my review with individual score for the components of the game they wloud be:

    Graphics/music: 9/10

    Gameplay: 7,5/10

    Storry: 3/10

    it has some good moments, but it has way more bad ones and that is not something the game can afford and playing at least half a game as a character you dont like is just not enjoyabel.
    i give it a 4 in total.

    with it being a game to this price it needs to diliver more than 4-6 hours of good gameplay especaly from a Developer like Naughtydog. sorry    … Expand

    The bad: The story. Some may find it interesting. I found it painful. If you enjoy misery, torture, pain and death, this is the game for you. When I play a game I want to be happy, grow with the character, and feel good about it, at least at some point with a turn in the story when the bad turns to good. TLOU2 is a story with an unhappy start, and unhappy middle and an unhappy end, all the while sprinkled with misery, pain and death. There is NO happiness in this game. None. Who likes that? Apparently pro game critics who don't represent the people who play the games.

    I don't think this game was review bombed by social justice warriors, at least not primarily. it was legitimately hated by most who played it and then felt miserable after toughing their way through the whole thing.

    My rating of 4 is a true score. If it were a 0, I would have quit after an hour but it was at least good enough for me to get all the way through to the depressing ending.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Pros: This game is probably one of the most visually stunning games I've played. The mechanics are almost exactly like the first game which I personally liked.

    Cons: Characters are so unlikable it made me apathetic to what happens to them. They tried hard to make me sympathize but most of the dialog makes me roll my eyes or cringe. Story is your typical 'revenge is bad'. Writing seems thrown together by people who have no idea there is a first game. I legitimately didn't have joy playing some parts almost as though I was just forcing myself to get through it. I had high hopes when I saw Abbys character in the trailers and they crushed my excitement for her. The infected are not a main focus at all which is one of the only reasons left for me to like this game.

    Overall I gave this a 4 because of graphics and game play. I was so crushed they did this to one of my favorite story games.    … Expand

    Graphics are nice, at least for PS, cause on pc's its like 2018 games on max settings. But its only one good thing in this game... SONY gone woke, and they make form decent game **** sequel.

    Beautiful game as far as graphics are concerned. I am very impressed with the overall look of the game. Facial expressions, attention to detail...its just gorgeous.     The game plays pretty much the same as the first part with almost no new added gameplay mechanics so the reason for getting it was really on the story which was a generic revenge is bad plot which had nothing to do with the surrounding world its set in

    Great mechanics and gameplay, it's just too much story centered with a lot of cinematics and a very poor central story. I have to acknowledge that it was cool to play as the bad guys but It's main problem is that it's not relatable as the characters are driven by emotions and desires that seem very off for the world they live in.     Почему я поставил этой игре 4/10 есть две причины
    Первая это продажные журналисты,вроде Лехи Айтипедии,Логвинова и Дрюзея,к примеру моим словам возьмём Лёху Айтипедию,он в своём обзоре говорил что он сочувствует Госпоже Халк (Эбби),однако если вспомнить начало игры,то именно она убила Джойла (протогониста первой части) и после этого ей невозможно сочувствовать и в конце игры Элли просто её отпускает,серёзно?И эти журналюги говорят что Нил Дракман гений а ещё игра испорчена ЛГБТ пропогандой (спасибо госпоже Саркисьян(сарказм))
    Вторая Причина,это фанатики этой игры,которые говорят что те кто ненавидит эту игру,просто не играли,или не прошли до конца,серёзно?Я возьму к примеру AZedd,этот человек прошел игру до конца и сказал что игра не шедевр и у неё много минусов,а эти фанатики выдумали что те кто прошел игру до конца,назовёт её шедевром,ребят,шедевром назовёт её тот кому заплатили или у него сони головного мозга (если вы понимайте о чём я)

    It is really hard for me to fathom what went wrong in development, but this game is so inferior to the first one in the series that it's almost impossible to believe it was handled by the same studio. The only good thing that has carried over to Part II is the graphics. The game is visually stunning, and there are so many gorgeous views to be found in this game, indeed. So, huge kudos to whatever part of Naughty Dog's team handled the visual elements & art direction because they did a brilliant job, and it is the only thing I genuinely enjoyed. Is that enough to propel the score beyond 4 out of 10 though? I'm afraid not. At least not for me, a player that puts story & characters above everything else. I don't need photo-realistic graphics to save the game if the story and characters are well-written and fun to experience. This is why The Last of Us 1 will be played & remembered decades from now, while this game will be forgotten. All video games eventually become outdated in some way, but interesting (not necessarily likable) characters, good plot & fun gameplay continue to captivate players of different generations. The world still plays Half-Life 1 & 2, Bioshock (2007), Resident Evil (1-4) or pre-reboot Tomb Raider games -- because these games have stood the test of time. The Last of Us Part II is not timeless, it is a sad reflection of the time during which it was produced: the age of political correctness, SJW wokeness, and a time when feminism is used as a tool of oppression & censorship.

    I am a gay male by the way, and while I fully welcome the fact this game features same sex romance & homosexual characters -- I do not like the way the characters were handled -- In fact, it is hard to find any other defining characteristics of the main characters besides the fact they're gay which is exactly what you want to avoid as a writer/storyteller. Then there's the sexual aspect of those characters which is featured so prominently (sex scenes that contribute NOTHING worthwhile to the overall plot!!) just for the sake of controversy and generating support from the LGBTQ+ community, I presume.

    Ultimately, The Last of Us Part II is a shallow and empty experience that will go down in history as one of the most disappointing video game sequels of all time.    … Expand

    I don't think making us hate a character then forcing us to play this one is a good strategy. We won't feel empathy with someone we don't like. I was waiting to play someone I liked, and ended up frustrated for a good part of the game.

    Imagine playing The Witcher, but instead of Geralt, you just play as some idiot you don't like and are forced to go and ruin Geralt's day
    Some of ND's political choices were too much represented, and I don't think they would have been logical in a post-apocalyptic world.

    Everyone might not share the same disapointment with some events in the game, so I didn't count them in my grade.

    I am aware there is review bombing using some arguments I may have used too, but that doesn't mean they are not valid, and be certain that people putting straight 10 / 10 aren't better.    … Expand

The game feels like the first one but with a few new mechanics that, indeed, took the game to a new level but not too far from de previous one. Nevertheless, that the only good part of the game, The Last of Us 2 is a direct betrayal to the fans of this saga, killing the main protagonist in the first hours of gameplay. A protagonist regarded as one of the most beloved ones in the gaming community. I’m speechless with the narrative, they just don’t want people to play it, they manage somehow to make Ellie such a weak woman that she couldn’t even kill Joel’s murderer, she’s far better than that.… Expand

The gameplay is pretty decent overall, I like the new things they added in for building weapons and upgrading them and the dodge button when people attack you etc... the graphics are nice as well on ps4 slim the frame rate drops significantly though that's a downer. Now the story.....this is where they could have done a better job. The first game was all about the story and the relationship that Joel and Ellie had together overcoming the apocalyptic world that they live in. The story on the first game was phenomenal. Killing Joel off they way they did not only pissed me off and I'm sure pissed a lot of people off, it gave the game a sour taste in my mouth for a long while. The push in the sexuality in this game is also rediculous. It makes the story dull and less interesting because it takes away from the post apocalyptic world that the story takes place in just like the walking dead has done in the later seasons. I understand the point they were trying to make with this game but they could have done a way better job doing it. I dont think I'm going to reccomend this game to anyone. It was put together poorly and executed in a very extreme fashion. This game wasn't enjoyable to play. It was a painful experience. Do better next time Naughty Dog.… Expand

    The game has a good mechanic , takes you back on the relationship Joel and Ellie had, but that’s it. It takes too long to finish, and gives you a simplistic ending. I’m sorry , but this game deserves better. If it were to end this why, you should’ve stopped in the first one.

The story is okay as a stand alone game but as a sequel I found it to be boring, disrespectful to fans and not at all what I waited for. Joel’s death is rushed and dumb, he looked so naive by giving his name and location in a place full of armed strangers. That’s nothing like him. Also I never came around liking Abby. She’s just a character I don’t care about. I get what naughty dog was trying to do but I waited 7 years to play as Joel and Ellie, and even if Joel had to die, let me play the whole game as Ellie, the character I actually care about, the one I waited all this time to know more about. I did not wanted to play half of this long awaited game as the character that killed Joel. A couple of hours with Abby would’ve been fine, but not half of the **** game. And Joel’s death aside, I just didn’t want to play with this characters. I mainly loved the first game because of Joel and Ellie’s relationship, all they went through, how they end up in a father/daughter relationship and their backgrounds. Even if Joel had to die, let me play this game as Ellie. If they start with such a bold move like killing Joel, a character all the fans loved, then let the story be about that. Anyone on Abby’s story (including her) could die and I would not care. Also, when you finally catch on the cliffhanger, they make you beat the **** out of Ellie with Abby. What the **** At least let me play that scene as Ellie, let me try to revenge Joel, even if the outcome is exactly the same, that was something that had to be experienced as Ellie.
    Overall it is an unique experience that might be worth playing for the graphics alone. But as a huge fan, I feel they ruined everything I liked about the first game.    … Expand

Ellie decides not to kill Abby and loses everything. Abby kills Joel and finishes the game going to rejoin the group of Fireflies she wanted. Not a sign of regret, not a sign of questioning about what she made. So, Drunkman, how is that 'being fair to the character' when the character we love ends losing everything and doesn't even complete her revenge? How is that being fair, letting Abby go away to rejoin the Fireflies after what happened? This is a masterpiece of s**t and hypocrisy. There is no happy ending for TLOU2? They should feel sick to their stomachs. Thanks for destroying one of the most beloved games with the original Last of Us. The Story is the main selling point of this game, the world it has built and characters it has developed in the first game are what the selling point was. Unfortunately contrary to what the reviewers believe (surprise surprise) it underwhelms in this department and rather feels like a forced farce rather than a actual thought out follow up. It has moments where you see what it could have been but all too soon you are reminded of what it is. If you don't mind the story and want Gameplay the game is mostly solid, however if the story is what brought you here, Buyer Beware, this will be a Raiden moment from MGS.… Expand

    The game developers have lost their way with this sequel. They have left behind the hope and wonder of Ellie’s plague immunity, and exchanged it for a drawn out, unnecessarily gruesome, and morally bankrupt slugfest. The need to showcase the various sexual appetites of the main characters and the complete disregard for contemporary religious beliefs shows their need to be seen as “woke hipsters.”

    In a nutshell, gamers play games to have fun and to enjoy a great story. The developers of the sequel have chosen to lose the story elements that were compelling and instead are focusing on a disjointed story of the main characters descent into murderous psychosis. Compare this story to the story of a Horizon Zero Dawn and you can clearly see what I’m talking about.    … Expand

Мы должны были получить ну минимум Эббигейл смуглянку. Дальше. Я все понимаю смерть отца, убийца жив и все такое. Но смерть Джоэла была явно черезчур преукрашена. С такой жестокостью забить гг 1 части клюшкой, предварительно прострелив ему ногу дробовиком, это кажется слегка перебором если можно так выразиться. Потом нам говорят что мы будем сострадать Эбби, но нам выкатывают не девочку обиженку а, бабенцию на стероидах. Теперь же ещё и чувствуется ручища Аниты Саркисян которая "Очень хорошо" знает как делать сильных и не зависимых женщин. Сюжет по сути то не плохой, здесь все портит лишь взаимодействие между героями, да и абсурдность некоторых действий тоже не делает игре + в копилку. Беременная баба с ружьём на перевес в дозоре. This game is a solid disappointment saying fans have waited 7 years, the characters we loved from the first game get little to no respect, within the first 2 hours of the game, the beginning looks promising starting with joel and ellie and joel singing for her, however it takes a sharp turn when Joel, a character we played as for the first game and we came to love, got beaten down with a golf club because of an NPC you kill in the first game. The story from then on feels empty, you are forced to play as a new character, Abby, who also is Joel’s killer, her character development was poor, made to play as a character for 10 hours who you have no attachment to and after she killed a key character to the story. The flashbacks between joel and ellie were the only parts of the game I enjoyed, mainly the museum flashback. The graphics are 10/10, the best I’ve seen and the accessibility controls are amazing, however the game just lacks everywhere else. Story and character development is way off from the first game and it just feels empty and like a chore to play. The ending is disappointing and empty, probably left for a third game for Abby, which I will not be getting. Overall I think the last of us 2 is an awfully written game, with the power of the graphics and gameplay I can only give it maximum a 4/10 as it is a predominately story based game with an awful story, however if there was a multiplayer I would play that as it has amazing graphics and really enjoyable gameplay. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing it because for the money it will just be disappointing. The LGBT aspects do not affect the game whatsoever and if someone has an issue with them in 2020 they’re the issue, not the characters. the whole “revenge is bad storyline” was executed poorly, as after butchering everyone on your way to Abby, you just let her go so loads of characters were killed for no reason, I understand what they tried to do, but unlike red dead 2 where a “revenge is bad” storyline is done well. This one on the other hand is far from, for example you spend about 8-11 hours playing as Abby (the so called woman who killed Joel at the start of the game) but it’s not just that, the story doesn’t really do much to develop characters apart from occcadional flashbacks with young Ellie and Joel. This games graphics are absolutely amazing and the sound design is impeccable but that doesn’t excuse the fact that the story neeeded much more time in the oven. Overall I would wait to buy it when the price goes down and be prepared for great graphics, gameplay but also be prepared for a shoddy story.… Expand

For one right at the beginning you need to suspend logic and believe that Joel blindly trusted abby, that took me out of the game completely and it bugged me for the rest of it. Seems really implausible that someone so astute and always suspicious would make a mistake like that or change so much within a few years. I wasn't bothered as much by the fact that Joel died in that way(my first reaction was that it was expected, since the bad stuff he's done) as much as the uncharacteristic way they made him behave.

    Second, everything was waaay to long and also the narrative didn't seem sure of itself. A lot of it was just stupid filler that contributed nothing to the story and just made everything lose pace. I got bored several times and stopped for days. Third, the biggest problem- abby. There was NO reason to force us to play as this person for 10 hours. All that was needed was half an hour at most to explain her backstory and maybe an hour of gameplay to make us see that she had an angle. Instead they spend 10 hours trying to make us sympathise with her, failing with like 90% of the people who played the game. This character was not likeable and her motivations were not complex or difficult to understand, it wasn't that deep and didn't need so long. Understanding her motivations wasn't enough to care about her. If they'd made her gameplay like 75% shorter and allowed us to spend more time with Ellie this game would've been great. I think the ending was nice, the story if you ignore the horrendous way it was executed was also nice. Everything else about the game was nice. However I hated playing this- not because it made me feel bad or whatever, it was boring made me irritated that I was forced to keep playing as abby.    … Expand

    Look, I understand that they had to change the story and characters to try to "innovate", but what came out was something quite bad in the story, the graphics were excellent, but they sacrificed the story like a lamb. the end was very forced and you feel as if you had no choice, it would have been excellent to leave the decision to us and not force ourselves.

This game did not do a good job in pacing out their “impactful plot points”. Throughout my gameplay I deeply felt the story was moving too quick. So when it came to the games impactful moments it didn’t feel like they were the main characters, it didn’t feel like those were the characters all the people cherished. It truly felt like some side character who you just met and died at the end of that journey. Even Henry and his little bother from the first game was more impactful than the main characters who died this game.

    Graphically stunning. Beautiful animations. Story doesn't fail to disappoint in every aspect. Game feels a bit racist and sexist at times. Gameplay is similar to Last of Us 1, which is a bit dull in my opinion, but some people love it. Hopefully this much graphic effort will be put into a good game some day.

It’s like they forgot playing games are supposed to be fun. The ending is unsatisfying as the characters’ actions are not believable.

    The Last of Us is one of my favorite games of all time. I really like the games from Naughty Dog so there is no hate towards the company neither Neil Druckmann. BUT! I CAN'T STAND THE FAKE MARKETING YOU DID WITH THIS GAME. That was a low-punch to the fans of the series and should be penalized in some way.
    Story was so forced and unenjoyable. They relayed on cheap "shock factor" moments that became more of a meme at times.
    Gameplay was brutal. But did not innovate that much from the first game, but still! is fun as hell! The graphics and scenery are beautiful! Best I have seen in years.
    Sound design was top notch too.
    The lack of new infected is just sad. I really feel they could have created more of them, but no. We get a couple new ones and a boss. (That boss fight was particularly good)
    Secondary characters are forgettable and you do not get to connect with them at all. The ones coming from the first game do not act like them anymore and that will infuriate you if you are a fan of the 1st game.
    I get that they tried "something different" but in this case it didn't worked at all. It felt more of a chore to start my PS4 and continue with the game.
    It's sad that the characters from the first one are left with nothing. Their character development was thrown into the trash in exchange of the new ones.
    I cannot recommend this game at all if you're a fan of TLOU1. It will be a waste of $60.
    TLOU is a story-driven game. And when the story is that bad, you can't put a good mark on it even if the gameplay/sound design/scenery are incredible.

Um jogo que poderia facilmente ser o melhor da geração, se rendeu ao esquerdismo e progressismo, onde já se viu em um mundo pós-apocalíptico as pessoas se preocuparem mais em ser aceitas pelo que se consideram acima de sobreviver, nem sequer há espaço para coisas tão supérfluas e inúteis em um cenário assim, "Lev", que na verdade é Lily, foi a gota d'água, já não bastasse a forçação de barra com a Ellie, que já é lésbica que ainda por cima virou marinheiro e a "She-Hulk" conhecida como Abby, que aliás é um dos piores personagens que já joguei, e nesse jogo fui obrigado a jogar mais com essa porcaria que com a Ellie, sacanagem. Fora a morte ridícula e cheia de furos do Joel, descaracterização de personagens, agenda LGBT sendo enfiada pela goela toda hora, coincidências (deus ex machina) o tempo todo para beneficiar a Abby, que é um personagem sem carisma filha de um NPC random qualquer, que de repente se torna o epicentro desse jogo, com uma estória ridícula que desonra o primeiro, que é uma obra-prima, minha nota é até alta para esse jogo, que de bom só tem os quesitos técnicos.… Expand

    I’ll keep this brief. This games gameplay is fun and smooth. Mechanically, there’s an improvement over the original I found enjoyable. Going prone in tall grass to avoid sweeping enemies feels badass, and melee combat specifically is probably the most fun aspect. As fun as the gameplay is, it’s not revolutionary by any means, and it’s not the kind of gameplay that can be done for hours onI’ll keep this brief. This games gameplay is fun and smooth. As fun as the gameplay is, it’s not revolutionary by any means, and it’s not the kind of gameplay that can be done for hours on end without boredom eventually setting in. In the first game, this was counteracted by the games amazing narrative. When the gameplay began to feel slow, the story was your motivator for reaching the next segment. This game does not have that same cushion. The story manages to disrespect fans of the original by narratively discarding everything that made the protagonist duo appealing. Worse, it does so in a way meant to antagonize you, the player. It does so by carrying out its flawed narrative in a manner confirmed by the creator to create negative emotions within you. Hate, sadness, grief. In a typical film this does give stakes to the plot, but there’s usually resolution by the plot’s end to satisfy these feelings of motivation. TLOU2 does not provide this. Instead the game crawls to a snail pace meant to keep you mentally trapped in a dark place for 20-25 hours.

    When the games climax finally arrives, you are denied the closure the game has set you off to pursue. For lack of a better word “Narrative blue balls”. There is meant to be some sort of method to the madness, and the game’s director has gone on record saying he knew some would love the narrative while others would dislike it. For me the landing simply did not land, and this franchise would be be left dead and buried Lest they ruin what rubble they’ve left of this once great franchise. People prone to depression should be warned going into this. This game will Attempt to bring you down and make you feel terrible. you are.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Normally, I do not write reviews but this game was a huge disappointment and is probably one of the most overrate games of all time. The Last of Us 1 was not great because of its gameplay. No, it was all about its great story. And I also expected a great story from part 2. But the story in part 2 is pretty bad. Almost no character development, many plot holes and the timeline of the story is inaccurate. In fact, the game is almost too long. You have too many characters and the game is split into two parts whereas you play another character in the second part. And the final chapter of the game seems to be incomplete which makes it basically needless. In the first game, the story was only focused on the relationship between Joel and Ellie and its development. And as already mentioned, in this game are too many characters involved which makes the story overloaded. There aren't even any improvements of the gameplay. And for a game that takes place after a zombie apocalypse, there are not so many encounters with zombies except for the first few hours. Mostly, you have encounters against hordes of humans which can be annoying. The graphics are nice, but not the best on the PS4. God of War has better graphics. The most controversial about this game are the SJW elements. Nobody had any problems with Ellie but if the old, white man Joel has to be killed to get more diversity is a disgrace for every fan of the first title. ND denied to follow a political agenda, but the developers clearly made some statements before the release and keep doing it on Twitter. Most people have no problems with a female or a whatever character. No, most people gave a negative rating because of Joel's death and this awful story. It is unbelievable that Metacritic deleted some negative reviews. Most negative reviews are pretty detailed compared to the positive ones which are superficial. And if you are interest in a game that should be frightening and also be about zombies: better buy Resident Evil 7 or Resident Evil 2.… Expand

One of my favorites of all time. I really tried to give a damn about Abby (whom you spend a good third or fourth of the game controlling). I tried to feel SOMETHING and I just didn’t. And if I didn’t have a prior connection to Ellie from the first game I wouldn’t have cared about her at all in this one either. So many of the characters are just...nothing. Generically sad characters. The longer this game has sat with more it disappoints and annoys me. I am very much judging this by comparing it to the feelings the first game put me through. Longing, sadness, relief, love and hope. I’m kinda a sucker for that stuff when it’s done right. I really just didn’t care about anything in this sequel. It’s way too long and constantly interrupting itself. If beautiful visuals and some solid zombie horror sections are enough for you to forgive a oppressingly uninteresting cast of characters and a story that comes full circle and becomes completely pointless, I recommend this game. (Spoilers: it’s not worth it). Really a shame.… Expand

Joel would never trust people that quickly and also didn't even give them his full name, it feels so awfully rushed. The characters they just throw at are faces aren't even likable characters ,while Dina and Jesse are okay the rest are really just pointless and even though the game tries to make you sympathize with these characters it is still so hard to and most the people that like this game is because either they didn't play the first game or they hated Joel for some reason and the amount of times Ellie and Dina were saved because of their plot armor is insane. Нельзя убивать главного персонажа, НЕЛЬЗЯ! И тем более подменять его, именноСтавлю 4 этой отвратительной игре только за графическую часть. В этом плане программисты поработали, действительно, знатно. Эти следы на искрящем снегу, колышущиеся ветки папоротника, падающий с веток снег, разбивающееся от кирпича или бутылки, стекло. Это просто великолепно! В остальном же - страх и ужас! Так и кривой затянутый сюжет явно слабое место в этой игре. Этот Нил Дракман не заслуживает больше выпускать ни одной игры, пускай и дальше на своих социальных аккаунтах критикует всех, кто недоволен игрой, в Haughty Dog ему не место!

Story was kinda deep yet I dislike games with a political agenda that's forced down your throat. In the beginning you don't notice it much and it sucks u in.     game mechanics is the same of the last one and there are few new zombie. the frustration came on not having an option to an important event. i dont mind the Abby ithink that it fits the character it shows but at least give me an option to the events.

    The Last of Us Part 2 tries to be Game of Thrones with all the Character Killing but does not even give the chance to redeem them or even give their deaths meaning. If you are a fan of the first one, this is a pass. Ignore this ever happened. If you haven't then maybe give it a try. Nothing else to say really...

    An absolute waste if my time, this game doesn't even come close to the first one. I wanted to play this game for ellie and joul not a golf game with ma'am and incredibly uninteresting characters with horrible pacing that left me confused to what I was even doing for the 2nd half of the game.

    I have played the first part and it was such an amazing experience but the second part has not done justice for it's name sake.

    I invested one week of my life in this game and I'm disappointed and feel that it was a terrible experience
