    Certain game mechanics are ok, but most stuff is just brought back from the first game. Unlike the first game, i feel no connection to ANY character in this game. Theyre very very bland. I dont even want to get started on the story.

    LoU2 balances beautifully between fantastic athmosphere and terror. The game looks stunning on 4k. Flawless execution on every aspect. Storytelling is untraditional, brutally violent and very well written game for ADULTS. Please ignore childish haters 1/10 reviews/bombing because critics review average tells the truth.     Waste of money. Honestly can't believe the games journos and critics have scored this game so high. They are bought and paid for! Naughty dog are pathetic, they really made a mess of the last of us 2. The story and characters are poor. its really a kick in the teeth for fans of the first game. Truly disappointing.

    People aren't using their brains when discussing this game. TLOU2 is game that talks about violence and revenge being the parts that makes us animals and how we as society need to think critically and not get caught in this horrible cycle. It's not political, and Abby is a good character, literally there's nothing bad about the characters being gay or not, it just shows how there's a big portion of gamers who need to get their **** together and stop being narrow-minded and intolerant.    … Expand

Joel and Ellie are villains now, in fact they are the worst people in what’s left in America, Joel especially. Man do they get that point across. Also you play as this new girl who may or may not have killed Joel for half the game. This new girl ultimately is about to kill Ellie half way through the game for killing her best friends earlier. Then you spend the next half of the game as this new girl killing the rest of her friends because she met this girl who thinks she is a boy who saved her. Ultimately this girl-boy convinces This new girl to not kill Ellie Despite the fact that she-he accompanies her all the way there to Ellie’s hideout knowing full well what the plan was. Despite having been let off the hook twice by this new girl, Ellie still goes for revenge at the request of Tommy who survived a point blank gunshot to the head. Honestly I didn’t think the player reviews would be true, but man this game made no sense and was all over the place. Still a fun game worth the money but a let down if you expected more of what the first one was about.… Expand

    The game was good in its initial concept, but thanks to the power of the tickets it has generated a forced return, the game has repetitive mechanics, an uninteresting story, highlighting the death of beloved characters and forcing a meaningless plot, with narrative inconsistencies, in short, a bad game whose main reason for launching was to drive next-generation sales.

    Even better than the first one! I feel depressed after finishing it. I will miss a lot seeing the characters and their story now that I finished the game. Huge congratulations to everyone involved in this masterpiece.

    Sometimes people just should stop judging the book by its cover and rate things only after they reach the very end. Wasn't the blind anger the trigger for the plot itself? I disagree with some parts of the game, but it absolutely doesn't deserve the backlash.     Tanto la jugabilidad, la ambientación, los gráficos me parecen de 10.
    Hablando de la historia creo que es donde mas flojea, ya que creo que nunca conectas del todo con Abby, provocando que el final cuando Ellie no la mata no sientas que es lo que realmente Ellie haría haciendo que cuando las dejes viva no pienses en verdad que has hecho "lo correcto", algo que si pasaba en el primero, que tras salvar a Ellie sientes que es verdaderamente lo que haría Joel si fuera una persona real y aunque no sea "lo correcto", sientes como si realmente fuera lo correcto.
    Pero creo que este fallo no perjudica en casi nada en las emociones que nos quieren transmitir con los viajes de Ellie y Abby.
    Recomiendo este juego a todo el mundo y espero que lo podáis disfrutar tanto como yo lo he hecho.    … Expand

La verdad pienso que es un gran juego, vale la pena jugarlo, en aspecto de gráficos, banda sonora, jugabilidad son una delicia, en general todo el juego, se que hubo mucha gente que no le gusto el juego por la historia y que les pasa pareció forzado el guion, pero a mi en lo personal me encantó el juego, la historían no me la esperaba con la muerte de joel y que él fue el responsable de la muerte del papá de abby, le duela a quien me duela Joel tenía que pagar, a mi incluso me dolió ya que me encariñe demasiado con el, pero acabando el juego lo entendí todo, el debía morir, abby mas que nada quería vengar la muerte de su padre, a mucha gente también no les pareció el final, ya que ellie le perdona la vida a abby, pero fue lo correcto ya que ellie demostró ser mejor y no seguir en ese círculo vicioso llamado venganza, así que todo debió pasar tal cual, the last of us parte 2 me dejo con una sensación rara pero a la vez buena, un juego que me hizo sentir muchas emociones, sinceramente el juego me encanto, tal vez the last of us 2 no es para todos ya que contiene un gran significado y enseñanzas.… Expand

En resumen general, los gráficos, ambientación, animaciones, jugabilidad, mejoras y banda sonora son una locura y le dan vida al juego. Puede que la historia sea muy polémica y existan cosas que no me hayan gustado del todo en un principio, pero si que da para reflexionar, una historia con personajes complejos y vivos, que buscan cumplir sus objetivos a toda costa, y claramente esta historia es distinta, nos presentan un mundo oscuro y pesimista, donde en realidad nadie es bueno ni malo. Siento que las acciones ocurridas en este juego conectan a la perfección con el primer juego y son las consecuencias del final de este, narrativamente te da un final muy amargo y polémico, y eso era lo que quería lograr el estudio. Realmente valió la pena la espera y como fanático me encuentro satisfecho de este precioso juego, de lo mejor que haya tenido la PS4, completamente recomendado.… Expand

    The game play is same as the previous game with 2 new things jump and pron. The story is pretty stupid for a story driven game. The game has more plot holes than there are pot holes on the roads. For a revenge game i did not feel satisfied at the end of this game and neither did i enjoy it. i just wanted the game to end because it was becoming boring.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There's a lot to say about this game… From the graphics to the environment, characters, actors, gameplay and of course the "controversial" story.
    I'll start with the graphics: This game is absolutely one of the best looking games generally speaking, be it on the PS4 or PS4 Pro, the game LOOKS GOOD and there's no denying it. Even on a vanilla PS4 or a PS4 slim, the game runs smoothly and beautifully.
    The environment is alive, much more than the first game due to the fact that the levels are almost completely open and traversal friendly thanks to the game's new improved gameplay mechanics like jumping, proning and getting between small cracks. There are letters and notes scattered around the levels with deep and sometimes extremely depressing world building content in them that are worth reading. The hunt for materials and “bolts” (even on the Normal difficulty dubbed “Moderate”), is fun and there’s much to discover.
    The characters are problematic to say the least.
    Ellie is cold (although understandable) and brooding and just unlikable unlike in the first game. The only times when she feels like "Ellie" is when the flashbacks happen and those are the best of her. It is of course important to note that she is more mature and of course more vengeful than ever but it doesn't excuse the fact that I just care about her much less than I did in the first game.
    The romance and relationship between Dina and Ellie, while still cute left me with a bad taste in my mouth, and I felt like there was more to be explored between them and yet nothing came to fruition. They're relationship was subpar at best and incredibly boring and tedious at worst. Their interactions with one another felt stale almost if the only reason for their relationship is to be some sort of a "romantic" relief.
    Abby is a whole other story. On one hand I can 100% appreciate and respect the fact the Neil Druckmann decided to let us see the other side of the coin, not only the evil woman who killed Joel, but a person trying to move on (so to speak), from her past that’s haunting her (shown in PTSD flashbacks and nightmares) and her ability to love and care for other but her story is still another revenge story for a very revenge driven game. On the other, I just don't care about her. Not because she killed Joel, but because I just don't. She's boring, evil, wretched and nothing good comes out of her. Although you have to love the fact she tries with Lev to become better and improve, I just don't understand why I have to play close to 10 hours as her. Again, I respect it, but I don't like it.
    While Joel isn’t as presence (for obvious reasons), he still is the focal point for Ellie’s revenge plot on Abby. He’s a side character but for what it’s worth, he’s the one with the most amount of depth.
    Now the story.... It's not THAT bad.
    I feel that a lot of negative reviews given to the game were given by people who either hadn't finished the game, hadn't played it or just wanted to ride the wave of hate. The story is not THAT bad!
    Was is falsely advertised? Maybe.
    Was it long and depressing? Absolutely.
    Was the ending satisfying? 50/50
    While I want to talk about the story more I really feel like the story should be experienced individually. It's a long journey but I personally believe that it's one worth taking.

    The gameplay is superb. Nothing to say more. While Druckmann said that "the game isn't supposed to be fun" it's one of the funner games I've played in a while. The progression system, weapons, stealth and the difference in gameplay between Abby and Ellie, everything is well made in the best way possible. The gameplay is a true sight to behold (and play!).

    And lastly, the actors. Every single one of the main characters (Love them or hate them), are played in the best way possible. Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson and Laura Bailey are the best choices that Naughty Dog could have made for these roles. They were incredible and worth experiencing the game just for the way they portray their characters.

    Final note: Take every review with a grain of salt. Experience the game for yourself. You'd be surprised.    … Expand

    Das einzige Manko ist das das Storyende Sehr offen gestaltet wurde und viele Fragen offen lässt. Aber ich vermute das diese Lücken mit einem kleinen dlc abgerundet wird. Die düstere Stimmung am Ende paßt zu the Last of us da die Story düster anfängt schon im ersten Teil und auch im zweiten Teil sich weiter durchzieht.    … Expand

Yes, there is propaganda in the game, but there are relatively few of them. In general, in my opinion the game is cool, and the average rating from users is undeserved.

I know this game isn’t everyone’s cup of tea with what happens to Joel and you play as abbey for the second half of the game.but this game is fantastic one of the best stories told in a game the graphics are truly breathtaking when you are going round Seattle in the Game.the gameplay is some of the best I’ve played with you sneaking around stealth killing enemies it can get very tense but if you survive you feel like you accomplish something and it’s very brutal with the kills.Yeah I know some points of the game with abbey are not very good and can drag on but it is so good you get to feel both sides of the story of revenge with ellie and abbey.the ending cutscene where Ellie and Joel talk for the last time is truly heartbreaking because it shows that through all the lies Joel told ellie she wants to try and fix their broken relationship. I would definitely pick this up if you are a PS4 owner… Expand

    Combat is mediocre but outdated and just like the original , and I won’t go on about how disgusting and horrible the story is but long story short they completely ruined any potential this series had (despite the first game not needing a sequel) I honestly wouldn’t but this for full price , Abby is the most boring character EVER and Joel dies in the most anti climatic boring and disappointing ending , but then the ending is the most cliche and lazy “revenge is bad story” where Ellie **** kills hundreds of WLF , just to get her fingers bit off and just let Joel’s murder go and let’s her walk off ,that is the equivalent of John Wick murdering all of his dog’s murderer’s friends and gang members , just to let the person who actually killed his dog go , it is stupid , if your purely Here for decent combat and good graphics , sure waste you 60 dollars but if you expect anything remotely similar to the first game , definitely don’t buy it

    They can’t give us an absolute masterpiece of a game (the first game) and Just make a mediocre game with a **** story , you have certain expectations to ,meet

    And lastly , the Flashbacks of Joel and Ellie are genuinely the only good part of this story , the fact that a sequel has to depend so heavily on the previous game to be good is so disappointing    … Expand

False advertising, character destruction, absolutely horrible story, 10+ hours as an unlikable character who we never even heard of in the first game.     The sequel had a lot to live up to, and while I can't say it was quite as good as the first game, it was still fantastic. Definitely doesn't deserve all the hate its gotten. Had a captivating and emotional story with complex and interesting characters.     Beautifully designed. Shows the PS4 is capable piece of hardware even now. Wonderful sound and soundtrack.

    Cons:
    Gameplay hasn't changed. Pretty much walk from point A to B.

    Terrible Characters. I don't care about any of these new characters being shoved down our throats.
    Plot holes are everywhere.

    Cringe Dialogue. Scenes are sometimes laughable because of the dialogue between characters.

    Pace is terrible.

    Game is 20 + hours when in reality with this crappy story, it could be reduced to under 15.

    THE STORY IS TRASH. NEW CHARACTERS ARE DESTROYED IN ORDER TO INTRODUCE THIS NEW WORTHLESS CAST.

    Graphics

    There is a huge improvement upon the Naughty Dog Engine from Uncharted: The Lost Chapter. Much of the open world element from the latest Uncharted game is present here in this one. Parts of Seattle are huge environments with no set path. You must figure out where you are going and need to go for yourself.

    The attention to detail in the character models both in-game and in cut scenes is amazing. The shift from cut scene to gameplay is practically seamless. Textures and animations are fantastic. A lot of work has gone into the facial animations for the characters (even the infected) to the point where these people are no longer "voice actors" as their emotion is passed through the animations.

    Audio

    This game has full 7.1 support and the same fantastic audio tweaking we found in Uncharted 4 and The Lost Chapter. With lots of presets available and the ability to tweak the balance on each channel and even configure for distance. I personally have been playing this game with headphones.

    As with the graphical detail, audio has not been overlooked. The sound effects in game are hugely realistic. The fidelity uncompromising. There are enemies that use whistles to communicate and the directional audio engine works well with this feature, allowing you to often pinpoint the location of an enemy given by the direction the sound came in. This is not groundbreaking, but it's been masterfully put together.

    The soundtrack is fantastic as well. The same composer as the first game has returned to write some tracks for this game too. It has the same moody feel and undertones. In the more tense sections of the game the soundtrack puts you on the edge of your seat and sets the scene wonderfully.

    Accessibility

    This game was made to be played and enjoyed by everyone. The range of options available here is going to have something for everyone. The game also does not punish you or deprive you of any sort of trophy for adjusting the difficulty. If a section is too tough for you, you can decrease the difficulty to get by.

    Story
    Ah, this bit. I don't want to include spoilers, so I wont.

    I read the leaked information about this game and the way it was presented was very slanted towards hate. I, personally, do not get easily led by creative writing in this way. I took the facts without the pathetic bias and formed my own opinion.

    This isn't to say that everyone who does not enjoy the story is incapable of forming their own opinions or that everyone will enjoy everything; they won't and don't. But the fact is a hell of a lot of the reviews on this page probably haven't played the game and are on the hate train. That's fine. Just, caveat emptor.

    I, for one, enjoyed the story thoroughly. We're introduced to a new set of characters in this game who are written well and played by their actors wonderfully. There are huge ups and downs with this game. One moment you'll feel warm and fuzzy the next you'll think "what the hell just happened?!".

    There are things that happen in the story that, depending on how much you actually understood from the first game (I.E. not attributing things to a certain character that were entirely in your own mind. Making out like one certain character was an infallible badass that no-one can touch) happen and you're powerless to prevent it.

    I went into this with an open mind and not a childish mentality and I ended up enjoying the game and story hugely.

    Overall

    Overall this game gets some entirely unnecessary hate from sections of the gaming community that are not nice. The hate doesn't come from a good place. It comes from a place of bigotry. Those who dislike the story and will dislike that last sentence because they feel attacked need to realise that that's where the bias in the leaks came from. The leaked information was heavily slanted and was heavily put in a position where it made you feel a certain way.

    If you can't recognise that, fine. If you transcended the hate and bias and you approached it like me and still didn't like aspects of the plot or story, then that's entirely respectable and a valid position to be in. You're also unlikely to be the sort of person saying this game is a 0/10 and will actually be giving your own objective review like me.

    For me? This game is a 10/10 and I'll be replaying this for years to come.    … Expand

    One of my favourite games this generation. Wasn't aware of the leaks going in and went in with an open mind. Would agree there are some pacing issues but didn't distract from the emotional story for me. Highly recommended.

    Un juego atrevido y cuya historia si se es bien apreciada te pone a reflexionar y te das cuenta de que nadie es completamente malo o completamente bueno.

The story, the characters, although being something that was already seen, surprised me and I fell in love with them. The effort made by Naughty dog in developing their own story was clear, and I enjoyed it like watching a tv series. I then decided to play the first game with my own hands, and it just felt amazing. After waiting 6 years, the sequel came out. What to say, it’s not just the impressive graphics and the better gameplay, but the realism of the story who caught me. At first, I didn’t get why they wanted us to play as Abby too, but then I realized: there are no bad nor good people in a post apocalyptic world...just survivors who have different ideas on how to survive. Of course, some of them might have, how do I put it, questionable methods, but the final objective is always the same: surviving. A lot of people were triggered by Joel’s death; I was too. But you can’t just review a game basing your vote on a big, but still small, part of the story. About the presence of SJW contents, I was actually impressed: of course it wasn’t necessary, but why are there so many people that are against this? Can’t you just evolve from your primitive way of thinking like you lived in 1900? Anyway...beautiful story, good study of the way of thinking of the characters and better gameplay than the first one, although it isn’t so innovating.… Expand

Besides that, gameplay is repetitive (especially in the second half) and so are the puzzles. There was a point, half way through where you begin to play as Abby where I was wondering in the whole 10 or more hours you play as her, when it was going to be over. The game dragged on for an unnessicary amount of time. The story could have easily been told in 15 hours without the extra padding. The only good parts where I found myself not wanting it to end, were the flashbacks which were short. If this is how Druckmann ‘honours’ his characters, it’s so disrespectful. Almost as if he is torturing US who liked Joel for ever thinking that he was a good man in the first place. As someone who preferred Joel to Ellie, this game was draining to get through. I couldn’t believe how they’d treated him. It was as if they didn’t know their own characters because Joel was never stupid, there was no way he’d reveal his name. But that’s not the only plot hole. How did Ellie and Dina get out of the theatre when Tommy was the only other person alive? How did al three of them, beaten and fatally injured in Tommy’s case her back to Jackson? Ellie has no character arc whatsoever. New characters were boring with the exception of Jesse who was killed in ten seconds flat. Many people were here to see Joel and Ellie’s relationship flourish and how they were coping. Not whatever this cesspit was. All attempts to sympathise with Abby fell short because after killing Joel, there was no way she could be redeemed for me and many others. Abby is by far the worst written character I have ever come across in a game. She has sex with a man who has a pregnant girlfriend, she kills Joel, she tortures people, she only went back for Yara and Lev because she didn’t want to have a guilty conscience. There is no way, even if she saved the world that I would ever sympathise or like that character. Another thing that annoyed me about her was that Neil wanted a strong female character, but as a woman myself, why did you have to make the character more masculine than feminine to look strong? It is also not physically possible for someone to be that muscular in an apocalypse without eating nutritious food which would be scarce. If they wanted to do a game with Abby, they should have left Joel and Ellie’s story where it was, not drag them into this. But let’s talk about that ending shall we? In what world would Ellie actually let Abby walk free? You cannot tell me that after everything her and Joel had been through, after those years in Jackson, that she would not want to tear her head off. Why did she suddenly have a change of heart? It makes no sense. I and many others wanted to torture and inflict a lot of pain into Abby and we were no where near as close to Joel as Ellie was. Especially after having a flash of Joel again, you’d think that would be enough to send her into a fury. I also didn’t like how Joel and Ellie’s relationship was handled in the game. The first flashback was great but then they just destroyed their relationship, not even bothering to fix it before he died. She was way too harsh on him, especially during the party where he was just trying to help. At many points in the game I began to dislike Ellie, mainly at the end. She didn’t feel like the Ellie we once knew, you can say she grew up but she didn’t feel or even look like the same character. Also the Santa Barbara part was unnecessary, it felt like an action game or something out of Dead Island. I have been traumatised by this game, and thats not a good thing. I find myself crying randomly because of Joel because I see his death in my head. If it’s not his death, it’s the flashbacks to when he was happy. Because it’s brought out these emotions in me does not make it a good game. It’s only because I was so attached to him that I feel this way. This game tried to do something and failed miserably. As an avid fan of the first part and someone who once wanted to work at Naughty Dog, I want to forget that it ever had a sequel.… Expand

    Here, in the sequel, the main characters feel "out of character" because their decisions in don't line up with the prequel. Character conversations feel forced and cringey.
    After a certain point you just want to put down the controller and stop playing. The graphics and technical details are amazing but you just want to skip the whole story and dialoges.

    This is coming from someone who loved the story of the first game.
    It's sad to see naughty dog in a state like this. I've always had high regards for older naughty dog titles but the way the company has chosen makes me rethink ever supporting them in future games.
    I feel let down.
    The story as a whole feels cheap and the ending makes things pointless.

    If you don't care game stories and want to play a game with great graphics and gameplay ported over from the last of us 1, this game is perfect for you.
    If you were looking for an experience with the story like the first game, stay away from this game.
    Try to forget that it ever existed, for it will only dissapoint.    … Expand

    Thats what happens when you let a not a bit creative talented biased activist taking over a well established brand. its sets it on fire till there is nothing left but ashes.

    i had hope this game may become one of the best games so far but as the leaks showed up i tried whatever i could to avaid them but yeah its the internet and when i got some of it there was little hope left for me that it may be out of context.

    oh boy when i reached that moment when they killed Joel in a crude and twisted way on top of that as a last act of progressive and truely neil cockmann artistic style made them spit on his remaining with the words: "burn in hell pendejo" while you have to had to play that exact same man/woman "cant quite tell about abbys gender so i call it "it" most of the secound part. Joel was so out of his role, that man that survived so long simply because being cautious and never trusting stranger, just gives all informations to a bunch of stranger which then buchered him.

    not enough? i was already massivly frustrated and the next shock, that sex with abby which could be based on Greta Thunberg, had almost to throw up my lunch.

    I am adding more to this review. I think Neil Druckmann is just too arrogant. He thought he can just manipulate the players who had a deep emotional binding with the characters in previous story of the last of us, by making the player feel guilty and force them to walk through "the other side of the story". It just does not work. He just underestimated that binding. We saw the same thing in the game of throne where Jaime battles against Daenerys. However, we have the difficult feeling of choosing either of them because we knew their stories and it took 8 seasons to build up those two characters. The strategy is to build up the characters and then create conflict. But in the last of us part II, Neil tries to create conflict and then build up the characters which is the absolutely wrong sequence. I hated it.    … Expand

I really feel like after you get over Joel’s death, and let go of it all, you can really start to have some more fun. I’m not completely done with the game, but I have played a major chunk of it. I liked Abby as she was built on as a character, and no, she isn’t some special representation character, she’s just some girl named Abby. At a point in the game, I really just started to feel bad about everything I had done as Ellie, and it really takes you for a bit of a guilt trip. Overall, I do recommend this game to anybody looking for an interesting story, change of characters, and just wanting to have some fun.… Expand

    Joel’s death was a strong scene in the game, and it was supposed to be a tad bit different. Druckmann spoke of this while discussing the scenes that they altered or scrapped from the game.
    “In the first edit of that scene, you felt nothing. Ellie’s being held down and Joel’s looking at her and we had this idea of like, “Oh man Joel’s brain is so f***ed up at that moment that the only word that’s coming out of his mouth is his daughter’s name, ‘Sarah.’” It felt powerful, but then Troy [Baker] — to his credit — was like, “I don’t think he should say anything.”    … Expand

The plot isn’t bad just because you don’t like the direction they took. Everything is well thought-out and acted in this and the sandbox levels of getting past enemies is absolutely genius.     I was really excited and looking forward to playing this game. Unfortunately, the entire Naughty Dog team wasted 7 years to not only disappoint but flush the entire franchise down the toilet. The first game was a masterpiece but what does that matter if this is going to be the last memory of it. They’ve pulled a Game of Thrones final season on this game and everyone should be ashamed ofI was really excited and looking forward to playing this game. Last of us 1 was a master piece , the relation between Ellie and Joel was so amazing and playing with Joel gives you such a authentic feeling of a father who see in Ellie the Alternative daughter which he lost A pity mr.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm going to begin this review by talking about the good points of The Last Of Us Part 2:

    1. Gameplay is awesome.
    2. The graphics and level design are superior to any other game I've seen. 3. The crafting system works well.

    If I'm being totally honest, they're the only things that I actually liked about the game. Over the course of 21 hours (total gameplay) I found myself frustrated, angry and upset with how the writers had approached this method of story telling. I see various reviewers giving this game the title of 'Game Of The Year' however, I find these same people to have no emotional connection with the first entry and its characters. Having a screen writer such as Hailey Gross - I was expecting the story to really take off however, this wasn't the case. If the death of Joel wasn't bad enough and approached in the most careless way imaginable, you're then forced to play as Abbey for the remainder of the game, whom kills Joel. Often, through out the game, the screen writers painted Joel in a bad light and other characters were somewhat cold towards him. I Feel as though naughty dog have gone back on themselves. Instead of continuing a story about the relationship of Ellie and Joel, they writers often deconstructed the emotional connection you had with both characters and replaced that with less interesting characters. Also, I feel as though the agenda of Ellie and Dinnas relationship was only wrote in to appease a particular audience. I didn't mind they wanted to have some lgqbt stuff within the game however, the foundation of the game wasn't built on this so, why are they pushing it so hard in the second? I'm not 'small minded' for thinking this way however, I just find it unnecessary when the first game was never about that apart from the left behind DLC.

    You're not even 'rewarded' for the death of Joel which is sad. I guess the real winners are naughty dog whom lied about the leaks which were more than accurate. Instead of pushing feminist/SJW/LGQBT agendas on the fans of the first game, you could of stayed loyal to the fans and continued on with the relationship between Ellie and Joel. I will not be going back for the third installment.

    The first game was a in a league of its own, but this game kept in mind about the new things that needed to be brought in. The ending was worth its wait in gold. Sure, Ellie didn’t get her revenge like she really wanted, but think about it, Ellie realized that she was just continuing the chain of hate, so she when she remembered Joel, she decided to cut the chain. It’s beautiful, and the scene where they both make up with surely bring a tear to your eye… Expand

    Completed the game last night and felt compelled to review because of all the daft reviews on this site. this game was great really, really dark but the story telling was off the charts, i was a wreck by the end of it. I loved the TLOU part 1 but in essence its story is just very simple and there isn't much to it.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
