    The Last Of Us provides a complete gameplay experience, in a hambiente that provides very tense moments and some very cool scares, it amuses us a lot and makes us want to play again to achieve even better results.

    After reading the reviews, I realized that half of the negative ratings were left by people who did not pass the game, the other half by those who watched the game and did not play. I do not understand why everyone decided that the work of art should please someone. This is a very personal statement and everyone decides for himself whether it is close to him.     An Honest 10/10. A game that makes you think a lot more about the consequences of your actions on a quest for revenge.
    Gameplays is always fun and absolutely terrifying at points. The game is super long so if you give it a go make sure you haven’t got anything going on in your life for a week.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. In my opinion a very good game but i didn't like it and i didn't enjoy it at all. The choices that characters took (been written by the directors and writers) seems that doesn't fit with the story and the choices that made in the previous game . Neil and Naughty Dog wrote the story around Joel's death . So they had to kill Joel , but in the game this fact is poorly executed (not cinematography related but storytelling related) . Joel and Tommy decided to trust a complete group of strangers , invited them in their town , gave up their names with no second thoughts . This choice is against the laws of Joel and Tommy as we all know they did terrible things to survive and we see Joel in the first game teaching Ellie about not trusting easily other people in the world of LOUS . So i think that one of the first discussions they had the writers of ND were related about Joel's death . The fact that they choose to break the laws of the characters morals in order to tell another story seems completely off . When you let your characters with their choices develop the story , well , the story actually works feels organic and alive . But when you decide to develop the story around a fact that happens against the character's beliefs ( Joel's and Tommy's mistake to trust a group of strangers) , well, that doesn't tell a story but it puts the characters as puppets and binds them un-physically in a line of storytelling that the writer choose for them (without taking into consideration their personal choices) . All the above , applies to Ellie or Jesse or even Abby as characters . I liked the world , the vision , the cinematic gameplay , the sound , the details , the hard work of people in ND , I even liked the time-line they choose to tell the story ( you see the bed that they cut Yara's hand as Ellie and you don't know what has happened and then you learn as Abby what happened ) .     It is hard to write well at this moment about the game. What I have to say is that if you believe in videogames as an art form, and not just consumable entertainment, you should play it. Don't form an opinion until you finish, be open and think about all that went through you. This game is a huge step towards art, for games. It is not for everyone to enjoy, but it is for those willing, to experience it. There can be a lot of things disagreed on in the story, many conversations started. And that is why I am glad this game exists. I hope people will be willing to dig deeper, and see what was done here.     Which idiot actually think forcing player to play as killer for much beloved character is actually a good idea? No amount of graphics, sound design is able to save this mess. The gameplay is pretty dated and virtually unchanged from PS3 version. Save your money, don't buy this.

    A Masterpiece of Storytelling in Videogames. While the pacing is not optimal and some levels could have been shorter, overall this is the climax of Naughty Dog Games in terms of Gameplay, Enviromental Storytelling, Cinematography, Sound Design and Animations.
    The Story is divise - you can hate it you can like it - but that does not take away from the quality of the game.

    The game is simply incredible, incredible story, with new characters very well made, and old characters very well worked out, besides having good motivations for each character, the gameplay is very well done and realistic. The game is a roller coaster of emotions and besides being heavy it is exciting and nobody would be prepared for this experience.

    The story of part 1 is so epic. It has become my favorite game of all time. I played it so many times on different difficulties. And I couldnt wait for the moment to play part 2.
    And now I cant even tell how disappointed I am. The story of part 2 is so horrible. Abby is a horrible char. Naughty Dog you destroyed your own legend!!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Joel was a good man, a single father who did his best to take care of his daughter. When the world ended, he tried to escape with it, but a military barrier ended that hope. He became a bitter, violent man and lost all reason to live.
    One day he receives a mission, escorting a girl to the Fireflies. Reluctantly he accepts and, to his surprise, begins to develop feelings for the girl. It keeps you alive and safe all the way, no matter what needs to be done. In the end he discovers that fate would once again take his girl, he does not agree and sacrifices the whole of humanity to save the girl, he then lives with the burden of being responsible for having taken - perhaps - the only way to salvation of the world.
    He knows that when she finds out, she will be furious with him, yet she doesn't regret what she did and moves on, with the weight of all these and future deaths on her back.
    Joel - years later - is brutally murdered by Abby, daughter of the doctor who would kill Ellie on the operating table, a clear violation of the Hippocratic oath he once took. That man THREATENS him with a scalpel and stands between him and his daughter. That man made his choice, he could have just run out of the room, he kills that man.
    Joel dies without regrets, he would do it all over again.
    Then it is time for Ellie to avenge her father, whose sin that led him to die was to have saved his life in the past. Ellie can't do this, she can't stand to live with her hands full of blood and lets her father's murderer get away with it, to live contentedly with the revenge she did. The only person she really needs to kill, that she had reason to hate and kill - not just survive - she lets out, out of weakness. Ellie doesn't deserve Joel's love.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The rest of the people on this website are overreacting to an outrageous degree. This game is not as terrible as most people are saying. What they are, is pissed off at certain plot points, to a degree that they ignore the rest of the game. The soundtrack for the game is incredible and immersive. The lighting and visuals are the best out of any game i've ever played. The character models aren't incredible, but to say they're bad would be wrong. Each one is unique and looks better than 90% of games. The actual acting is top notch, as expected from Naughty Dog. The atmosphere is tense as hell, and really immerses you in the game. And no, unlike what everyone says, the game is not as bleak and void of fun as they say. There's plenty of jokes and beautiful moments that make the slower parts worth it. I mean, just look at the museum scene.
    Now, where the game does fall apart, is the story. Yes, it's bad. If NG just rearranged some scenes, it would be perfectly good. The building blocks for a good story are there, but they're not put together. However, the combat system has made many improvements (besides for dodging, because god that's broken), it's so accessible that you can play it if you're visually or audibly impaired, and if you have declined motor functions. There's plenty of environmental puzzles (Even though many critics will lead you to think otherwise), and the chase scenes are tense as hell.

    The only reasons that this game is being rated so low, are:
    People are being pissy that NG made some massive jumps narrative wise
    They killed off Joel without any retribution (When he deserved it, since he removed the potential cure for humanity and killed hundreds of people)
    The story is sub-par (Haha golf joke)
    And, most of all, they're comparing it to the first game. Which is flat out unfair. Nothing they could put out could top the first game, because the first game was built around making connections and deepening them, while getting to understand and connect with characters. But there's no way they could be as compelling in a sequel, when you already know the characters inside and out, the bar is way too high, and they couldn't make any massive twists like the first game, since their personalities are already set in stone from the first.
    Overall, the game is set to way too high of a bar because of it's predecessor, but if you take it as a standalone game, it's easily an 8/10 at the very least.    … Expand

Joel and Tommy would have never given their real names out to a large group of strangers knowing the fireflies where potentially hunting them. Abby holds on to the hate of Joel for 4 years and has absolutely no remorse or unease about killing someone who just saved her life multiple times. This just shows Abby is a psychopath and needed to be put down. They then continue to have Ellie slaughter hundreds of people to get to Abby just to let her go.... They also showed Joel in scenes in trailers that he's not in so you buy the game thinking you get to play as Joel at some point and that he's alive through most of the game. However, he's killed within the first couple of hours. They then force you to play as Abby for 10ish hours AFTER you kill Joel. No one cares to play as Abby after what she did to a beloved character. All around it's just a bad story which you can't have in a STORY DRIVEN game. If TellTale had crappy stories no one would play their games. It contains the same gameplay as the first game with the same dumb AI and Good graphics.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part. II, is a show, with beautiful graphics “even on ps4 fat” and a very fluid and challenging gameplay. A remarkable story that brings different conflicting feelings. It may not please everyone, it requires a lot of maturity and leaves a bitter taste in us, but certainly a unique, adult game that should be played by everyone if possible.

Every place can tell you a story, each corner shows you how it became stuck in Time, but nature keep moving onward. I found myself looking at every detail in every room and place. Ambientation: You go from breathtaking landscapes to nightmare fuel places, which they were once common crowded places now you have to explore abandoned in the dark. You can feel fear and danger on every step. No apocalyptic world feel so real like this game. Gameplay : Its brutal, dynamic and organic. Every move and Action your characters do has weight and reacts to her surroundings. I never felt safe or powerful, but always with the necesary tools to survive. Acting : yes Acting, since the characters has voice, facial expressions and body languaje, along with prime dialogue writing, sometimes you can forget that they are virtual characters. Now im going to talk about the controversial part. Story. So Minor Spoilers ahead and really helpfull clarifications.

    First, there is no LGBTTIQ agenda. Yes Ellie is lesbian and Lev is transgender, not transexual. But these are character traits, a part of their whole and not a big label.
    You are more into Ellie artístic and geek part, and Lev wisdom and courage and his grow Out of the Shell.

    Second. If you want to play with the charming anti hero that kills every thing without remorse, this is not your game. Joel is no a playable character and the main characters are real people with flaws, but the will to survive. Third and most important. These characters motivations are not clear as water and Their decitions will not be the same as yours, dont try to be rational, they are human beings in a apocalyptic World trying to do what is right or feel right to them.

    That said, if you are mature enough to go along with a simple plot full of the best and the worst human feels, the misery of human nature and the consequences of your actions. Then the game is for you. The ending and the story as a whole will feel like your heart is ripped Out, then crushed and craved in again by your guts. Но есть вопросы к сюжету и поворотам. Я считаю концовку незакончиной. Эли отпускает Джоела и т д но куда она пошла. За Диной? Неизвестно. В интервью от разработчиков о финале не говорится. Да он открыт на случай ДЛС и 3 части. И конец с Эбби где Эли её отпускает. Это говорит что Эли успокаевается и отпускает её. Дина. Она ушла потому что она подумала что Эли за чертой после которой уже нельзя спости человека по этому она уезжает с фермы. Слова из интервью. Я считаю это крайне спорно и ещё есть очень много спорных моментов но игру я считаю для себя Игрой года. Очень реалистичная и не добрая. Есть моменты но грустных и печальных больше. Мне игра очень понравилась и я буду ждать ДЛС и если будет 3 части. Да это будет нескоро но я очень буду ждать. Друзья если вам не нравится игра- это ваше мнение но не ведите ь на обзорщиков которые её хейтят. У каждого своё мнение и его нужно уважать. Он вполне хорошь. Не могут Ноти Дог сделать лучше чем уже есть на данный момент. Это тоже из интервью. Они раскрыли персонажей, сделали любовные линии, сделали привязанности. В начале я ненавидел персанажа Эбби но потом оказалось что она тоже мстит и в итоге Эли отпускает Эбби не из-за слабости а из-за уважения к Джоелу и к Эбби ибо насилие поражает насилие. И Эли отпускает Джоела после концовка завараживает и даёт почву для интереса и размышления. Я никого не прошу менять точку зрения. Всё равно много гневных отзывов от людей которые даже не играли в игру. Мне просто жалко проект. И из-за этих диванных критиков 3 часть или ДЛС могут не выйти. Я бы поставил 9 из 10 но 1 часть была дополнина плюс меня порадовалапроработка Эли с её синдромом выжившего и постравмотическим синдромом. На этом всё.     6 years in the making, the hype surrounding this game is an understatement. How would the developers create a game that’s supposed to be better than their beloved title before it?     The gameplay is tight all throughout, and every encounter whether it’s against the zombie horde or the plague called humans is absolutely visceral. The tension is palpable in every way, and I think we have the advanced AI programming to thank for the realism offered by this game that only a handful of games can come close to. Each enemy didn’t have its usual programming and their movements are erratic, pushing players to create tactical mistakes and missing their shots more often than your usual third person shooters. The inclusion of dogs didn’t help either, not to mention that the enemy sightlines seem to be infinite most of the time, just like how it is in real life, getting alerted by an unknown watcher whose location you couldn’t pinpoint because listening for noise at that distance is impossible. The addition of verticality by enabling the protagonist to go prone and climb almost all obstacles gave it another level of complexity that enhances the palpability of the game’s encounters and level design.

    The graphics and sound design are absolutely stunning, breathing life into every object and environment, more than any game before it in the PS4. Virtual rain that feels heavy as you stalk through the ruins of a city, the piercing shriek of a far off undead filling you with dread and anticipation, the gurgling of blood from an enemy whose throat I just slit, the small notes on every whiteboard, all the blood stains and scratches on the walls, every crack and crevice, the bantering and background chatter, the ethnic details and emotion on each and every person’s face… all of these are minute but important details that bring the player into the ruined world of the game’s protagonists that I’m more than glad to participate in. I can’t state enough how stunningly beautiful this game is in every possible way.

    So given these praises, why is it being review-bombed by people in Metacritic and other critic sites?

    It’s because of the story. The story is polarizing to a lot of players, and I can see why. But damn, they are missing out. Don’t ever trust these user critics’ aggregated scores. In my opinion, they are babies who continue to be anchored to their expectations based on the previous game that causes their appreciation for the narrative direction of the sequel to sink. The release of the leaks didn't help either on how the story was meant for its intended audience, since there was no context as to why or how things are. So, I'll just say it: the leaks are, unfortunately, partly true, but it isn't the whole story and the leaks are a disservice to the experience of the player. If you've read the leaks, believe me when I say, open your mind and give this a shot. It's an experience worth your time and money.

    TL;DR: Play the game. The story is AMAZING. A narrative force of nature that touches on love lost, the price of vengeance, and moral worth. Absolutely amazing. Couple that with the most breathtaking visuals, heart piercing sound design, challenging and extremely tight gameplay, and you’ve got yourself an absolute masterpiece.     Das ist das beste spiel das ich jemals gespielt habe. Ich war bei sooo vielen orten sprachlos.
    Ich hatte so viele emotionen in dem spiel ich wahr traurig aber auch Wütend, und ich hatte angst dass ellie stirbt.
    Das spiel war so geil dass ich es gestern schon durchgespielthane und jetzt spiele ich neues spiel+.
    Ich freue mich sehr auf den Online modus

    Graphics and engine - 5/5
    The visual aspect of this game is a triumph. It really is beautiful to look at. The environments built in this game take the core feel of the original and improve on it in every way. I don’t think the PS4 is capable of producing anything that sustains this level of detail and beauty through gameplay and the “cutscenes”. I say “Cutscenes” because more akin to God of War these feel like an extension of the gameplay rather than the originals hard cuts to animated filmThe way objects interact is also a feat, with ropes of particular note.

    TLDR: The game is beautiful, and probably the most beautiful the PS4 is capable of.

    Gameplay - 4.5/5
    The gameplay is the same as the first game with a few fleshed out aspects. There are more stealth options than there was, and they allow for a bit more variety on how to deal with situations. The gunplay is solid, an iterative improvement over the original game, but enough polish to make it fresh-ish. Most aspects of gameplay were used sparingly so didn’t get repetitive. I did feel like the gunplay sections were a little on the long side and over the course of my 25-hour playthrough it did get repetitive. Personally, id have like them a little shorter between cutscene sections and set pieces, but I’m sure some people would them complain it was just an interactive movie. Can’t win!

    TLDR: Much the same as game one, with added polish and mechanics. Sometimes repetitive due to game runtime.

    Ah, the story. The big divide. The controversy, the hatred.

    Me? I loved it. Don’t get me wrong, there are a couple of places I rolled my eyes, and things that happen that I wish didn’t, but life isn’t roses. The events cause me to have a profound emotional response, and to me, that’s the sign of a quality story, even if it wasn’t quite how I wished it would play out. The leaks were thorough, and accurate, but in so many 1 star reviews I don’t see any mention of the story aspects which aren’t mentioned in the leaks, which in my mind are some of the key parts that gel the story together. I get peoples frustration, and if you’ve actually played and still don’t like it then fair play absolutely. I get it, but so many people might see these negative reviews and not even give the game a chance, and that’s a shame. I think the direction they took for the second half of the game (where a lot of the hatred applies) was excellently pulled off. The game makes you more aware of the repercussions of actions and while its very blunt and on the nose, I think this is a good anecdote for real life. Whether that’s what you want in your video game or not is purely personal preference.

    TLDR: Some people hate it, I loved it. Its emotional, it’s a rollercoaster, and its (in my opinion) very well written even if its not what everybody wanted.

    Conclusion
    I think the bombardment of 1 star reviews is unfair. It’s not for everyone and people are upset, but this game is a work of art. I hope that in time, when the world is a little less broken, and people are a little less toxic, more people will actually give this game a go and experience the story as it was designed to be experienced, not from some leaks.

    I personally loved the game. If you’re on the fence, give it a go, or wait till the inevitable price drops then have a go. It has its flaws, and it’s a very love it or hate it story it seems, so find out for yourself.

    Finally, if you are one of the people who hate it, refuse to play it, and reply to every tweet from Neil Druckmann or anyone else involved with the game or any tweet mentioning the game with absolute toxic hate. Go do the world a favour and grow up. You might be old enough to play the game physically, but I’m damn sure you’re not old enough mentally.    … Expand

    The amazing graphics and voice acting are over shadowed by the worst story telling and character development I've ever seen in a AAA game. The story doesn't live up to the usual quality of Naughty Dog story telling.I sincerely hope this isn't the new norm. And I really hope this story is retconned because the characters and the fans deserved better after waiting so long.

    I’ve read some of the bad reviews, and I have no idea what people are talking about. Most of them seem to just be going with the herd of trolls who set out to destroy the game’s ratings. This game is astonishingly good. You owe it to yourself to try this game for yourself. It’s every bit as amazing as the first one, and even better in my opinion.

This game looks great and plays better than the last, adding a few innovations to combat, and graphical fidelity that can be utilized by other devs. In terms of looking good, and sounding good this game is a 10. Where it fails is in establishing a cohesive, rational story. Expect flash backs inside of flash backs. I believe this game was pulled down by one man's ego, the director's, an ego that was fulled by sycophants in the industry, who think that games are a product for people pretending to be 'high art' connoisseurs--instead of the average gamer. The director, Druckmann, has made it clear that he doesn't care about the average gamer, and has stated many times that he hopes that said people hate the game, and not to expect even a modicum of fun, and or light as was found in the first. What you get is a shallow, predictable, and cliche story about revenge. A story that feels so different from the first, that it feels like a sad parody. Characters will be behaviorally unrecognizable, the pacing is off, don't expect to see giraffe's walking through the sunlight, and other such moments. Bruce Straley's influence is gone, and without anyone to balance him out, Druckmann's whims are on full display.

    What you get is a nihilistic, petulant, incongruous mess, that seems to have been designed as an insult to core fans. You will feel this in how npcs, and by extension your intelligence is treated by a game that does everything in its power to tell you that an unrepentant psychopath is the way forward for this series. Not to mention the meta aspect, where Druckmann is doing everything in his power, to convince twitter, that his inflated ego (he would call it his 'substantial IQ') is the best way forward for a once revered gaming company. We're talking about a guy who calls an awkwardly misplaced sex scene in the back of a dirty van, 'tasteful'. And yes, that's also what you get in this game.

    To summarize, The Last of Us Part II is so detached from what made the first game great, and lacking any respect for its past, fans will hardly recognize it. If you like pretentious, suffer porn, where you can set dogs on fire, this is the game for you.    … Expand

Every part of the game are absolutelyexceptional, the lighting, sound, level design, soundtrack, characters and narrative are all leaps and bounds ahead of any current game. The attention to detail is absolutely mind blowing! A must have if you're a Playstation 4 owner.

Сюжет мне так же понравился. Не особо понимаю почему его так люто поливают грязью. В основе заложена идея мести. И она абсолютно повсюду. У главных героев, второстепенных персонажей. Даже в записках можно проследить эту тему. И конец игры как раз показывает одну простую вещь - сможет ли человек живший долгое время этим чувством изменить свой выбор. Ибо месть крайне скользская дорожка как ни крути.
    Так же хотел бы добавить следующее. Несмотря на всю нелепость Ебби как персонажа я все же останусь на ее стороне. Ибо она за весь свой путь потеряла куда больше чем Элли. Отца и друзей. Весь мир по сути рухнул. А Элли потеряла только Джоэла. Тем более, Ебби ее дважды пощадила. А это говорит о том что она не такая уж и плохая. Думаю, окажись другой человек на ее месте, он бы без каких-либо раздумий убил бы Дину вспомнив что сделала Элли а потом и саму Элли так же добил. Ну и в конце она не хотела драться с Элли так как это было уже обыкновенное бессмысленное насилие. Она ее простила за все то что она сотворила. Думаю, если Элли не была бы ранена то она без каких-либо зазрений совести убила Ебби несмотря на то что там был пацан присмерти.
    Да и под конец самой игры Элли уже начала бесить своими излишними эмоциональными всплесками и непонятным юношеским максимализмом.
    Снимаю игре 2 балла за плохую интеграцию сексуальных меньшинств которые так и бьют своей нелепостью по лицу. Кроме этого, разочаровал ИИ который был очень туп в большинстве моментов. Можно было перед носом врагов проходить в наглую и они тебя не замечали.    … Expand

    TL;DR:

    - Visuals : 8/10 | Somehow i feel like the models are kinda on the ugly side. Even Dina and Ellie are not really attractive imo [Don't even get me started with Abby] , but otherwise, the rest is a treat to the eyes.

    - Gameplay : 7/10 | I'm more of an RPG player (Divinity, Dragon Age, JRPGS and such) so i guess i'm not the best qualified to judge this criteria. However, the gameplay is simple and effective enough to keep going without too much of a fuss.

    - Story: 4/10 | That's the core issue with the game. TL;DR: The choices made by the writers are bold to say the least. I honestly think the idea was interesting and would have made a great twist... if It was handled correctly, which was not the case here imo.

The core of the matter lies in how the main characters are treated throughout the game. Most of the players have built an attachement to Joel and Ellie and they are utterly destroyed in this sequel.

    I believe that Abby and Joel share a lot in common: they both are merciless and cold killers coming from a great loss in their past. What makes them interesting is that they do not hide it and admit that they are not saints. They both even go through a redemption arc during their development. But the results are very different because of the writing.

    Joel's arc works because he is shown as a human first and foremost, he turns from a cold and bitter old a**hole to a caring and loving father. And when he single handedly kills dozens of other survivors working to save humankind for a selfish reason at the end of TLOU you understand why. Understanding is not condoning though, and most players knows that he is a selfish prick for doing that, but still, they know how important Ellie is for him because you've seen everything they've shared and how Joel has grown since the beginning of the game.

    Abby follows the same path... upside down. She is shown as a monster first and then the game tries to humanize her. But it doesn't work because the player is already so lost in frustration and anger that anything the game tries to soothe things up is blown away by what she did. And this is a stupid mistake made by professional writers... or it's intentional. In which case they are purposely ignoring basic rules of story telling.

    Ellie is the biggest loser in TLOU2. Her character is shallow, always pondering everything - which is understandable and human - but doesn't sit well with the overall story. You see her taking harsh decisions, always going forward because the story needs it... and still, she's constantly questioning her own beliefs. Again, it makes her very human, but is a disservice the story as it breaks the rythm of the game. Moreover, her decisions are very questionable especially when after suffering a defeat and realizing everything she could have wanted otherwise, she gambles her peace for the sake of an old grudge... Which leads to an underwhelming rage when the player realizes at the end of the game that everything might have been in vain after all.

    And this is frustrating. You poured hours upon hours upon one goal, watching a beloved character forsake herself and her dreams for it ... and all that for naught. Ellie didn't deserved this, she is a killer, sure. But so is everyone else in this universe, and unlike others, the player is emotionnally attached with Ellie which is why we feel her pain as our own.    … Expand

    Dina is not a terrible character. She has her own character, motives. It seems there are no problems, but she does not reach the previous partner Ellie.

    I dont agree with people saying they ruined this or that character. Nothing was ruined. These are the characters we love and know from the first game, but this game shows you the cold hard reality of a post apocalyptic world without sugarcoating everything. There are no winners or heroes in this world. Its not a fairly tale and never was. It answers important questions of human nature and behavior.

    The graphics are out of this world, i played it in 4K HDR and its almost CG level good. The animations are mind blowing. The combat is visceral and ruthless.

    Regardless what you think about the story. This is the best game Naughty Dog ever made and there are NO better games currently on the market regarding the exclusives.

    It sparks debates and it should be, because forgettable art is not art. Even the haters and trolls talking about it. Even they are wrestling with their emotions and thinking about it constantly. You have to examine this game. Think about it. There are two sides of everything.

    When you meet with a stranger he or she has a life too like yours. Its just from a different perspective you wont see everyday, but here we seen everything and we have the chance to process it with all the knowledge. The knowledge of both sides. The coin.

    You have to logically think trought that what was justified in the charaters actions. Where is the line? Is it worth it?

    Am i lost control? taking one more life will satisfy my quest for revenge?

    You know the common theme when we talking about revenge is not knowing when to stop. An eye for an eye, but its not enough because you want to see the other one suffer so you take more and more people from their sides and in the meantime you risk the life of your people on your side.

I do not understand all the negativity that surrounds this game. I hear people complain about how the characters that we grew to love are treated, and you know what? First off it's a post apocalyptic world, people die, get over it. Also, at first I was a little mad about Joel's death, but as the game unfolded it made sense. Everyone **** about Abby, and at first I didn't like the idea of playing as her, but she also has a side to the story, and she is not the monster that everyone puts her out to be. Her side shows she has heart and care for others. Those others just happen not to be the characters we love from the first game. What this game really shows is that Ellie is no more evil than Abby is, and Joel was no more evil than Abby is too. I think Tess said it best in the first game. "We're **** people Joel, it's been that way for a long time."

    NOBODY in this world is a saint. Ellie and Joel are just as bad people as all of the WLF and Abby. This shows you that the world is dark, and it's meant to be. Once I warmed up to Abby as a character, I really did not mind her place in the story, and I think her motivation for killing Joel is well warranted. Did I want it to happen as a fan of the series? No. But I feel it was necessary to make a sequel worth anything. If you're a hater, take a second look. Put yourself into the shoes of every character, especially the ones you take control of. It's not a bad game. Matter of fact, it's fantastic. Cheesy moments from time to time, but not enough for me to go review bomb this game like everyone else is doing. Enjoy it, and realize at the end of the day, it's just a video game. Don't take it too seriously, and don't let it upset you like it has so many people.    … Expand

    The game caused a lot of emotions - hatred, tears, compassion, sadness. And pleased with excellent graphics and gameplay.

    El juego es duro y con esto no me refiere sólo a su gameplay que de por si es muy intenso. Exige demasiado del jugador hay partes donde no quieres seguir jugando, odias tanto como Elie lo hace pero sí le das la oportunidad, lo escuchas y llegas hasta el final habrá valido la pena.

    En cuanto al apartado técnico el juego es una maravilla, excelente música por supuesto no se puede pedir menos de Santaolalla, los efectos de sonido, las animaciones, los gráficos, los escenarios, las actuaciones (recomiendo jugarlo en inglés) el gameplay son perfectos en todos los aspectos un juego bien pulido en el cual todas las piezas se unen para tratar de conectar con el jugador y transmitir su mensaje, depende de tus sentimientos y tu disposición a comprender al otro sí el mensaje funciona o no.

    Sección con spoilers:
    Si bien, se nos vendió un juego que trata de la venganza y el odio y estos temas si son de suma relevancia para la historia son solamente la mitad de ella (literalmente) los verdaderos temas de los que habla el juego son la empatia y el perdón.

    Entiendo a la perfección la controversia por la muerte de Joel y el jugar como su asesino Abby cuando lo ves en el juego te da asco y quieres dejar de jugar pero hay que admitirlo por más que amemos a Joel y habríamos hecho lo mismo que el, sus acciones tienen consecuencias. Entiendo que la gente quiera ver una aventura de Joel y Elie siendo felices y aunque en cierto punto si la obtenemos debemos de ser conscientes que en el mundo de the last of us las cosas no son tan sencillas.

    Sí en el primer juego experimentamos la formación de la relación de Joel y Elie principalmente desde el punto de vista de Joel, en este presenciaremos las consecuencias en su relación desde aquel día en el hospital a partir del punto de vista de Elie. Aunque en un punto pareciese que la historia no trata de la relación entre estos dos personajes créeme que al final es lo que más importa y los personajes secundarios al igual que en la anterior entrega están ahí para contrastar y analizar esta misma relación desde distintas perspectivas.

    He escuchado a muchos decir que el final es deprimente y no tiene sentido, cuando a mi punto de vista no podría ser más equivocado este enfoque. El final es la aceptación de todo lo que pasó el dejar ir los resentimientos y odio para continuar adelante con un recordatorio permanente de la relación de Joel y Elie y lo que ella perdió al enfocarse plenamente en como murió Joel en lugar de como le enseñó a amar y a seguir luchando por ello. Sí estas dispuesto a jugar este juego no cometas el mismo error, sigue adelante y no permitas que el odio te ciegue deja que los demás te cuenten sus historias y trata de comprenderlos. Al final no importa si te caen bien o mal los personajes mientras puedas aceptar.

    Definitivamente una obra sublime, madura y valiente, no cualquiera hace un videojuego con una historia lineal y enfocada en su narrativa cuando se sabe que muchos jugadores nunca jugaran hasta el final, mucho menos se mata a un personaje principal tan cruelmente, no se incita en un momento al jugador a sentir tanto odio, rencor y asco como para dejar a un lado el control, ni se pregunta si los jugadores estarán dispuestos a ser cuestionados por sus acciones y sentimientos cuando se cambia la perspectiva hacia los supuestos villanos.
    Es un suicidio y como se ve en el score de los usuarios en esta plataforma muchos jugadores no están dispuestos a escuchar al otro. En definitiva una obra necesaria para estos tiempos.

    Puntos negativos: Lo único que a mi parecer se sintió forzado, raro o creo que no añadió mucho a la trama fueron; las acciones de Tommy que a mi parecer fueron erráticas a lo largo de toda la historia y solo se sintió como un plot device, no estoy segura si hubiera sido mejor presentar la perspectiva de Abby desde antes de matar a Joel, antes o intercalada con la narrativa de Elie pero cuando menos al final funcionó lo suficiente conmigo como para verla a ella y todos sus amigos como humanos, la escena de sexo entre Abby y Owen no añadió nada y la encuentro incomoda, pudo haberse cortado con el beso y ya se daba a entender, de verdad no sé por que la añadieron parece que querían ver si se quejaban más del beso lesbico que de eso o tal vez se preparaban para HBO.
    De ahí en fuera todo añade a la trama aún las partes que no me gustan y su extensión.

    Una obra cruda y ruda pero al mismo tiempo humana e inspiradora, recordándonos que todos somos humanos. Ame este juego tanto como la primera entrega y sé que al final todo valió la pena.    … Expand

Though I must admit I wish Joel had much more of a heroic death, if it had to happen, and it wasn’t so near the beginning of the game. Initially I despised Abby for her actions and was even extremely annoyed that the player was forced to play as Abby for a very long portion of the game but towards the end I understood her actions and it was almost hard to paint her as a villain. I even held back at the end fight scene between Ellie and Abby because I didn’t want her to die! I can’t believe you made me grow to ALMOST like the woman that killed my Joel. Well played Naughty Dog, well played. I truly think you should go into this game uninfluenced by any posts you may have seen written about this game. I believe it is a masterpiece.… Expand

The story is where the game becomes the worst thing about the game. They killed off a beloved character in the worst way possible and makes you play as the killer for half of the game. Good Parts of the game, the graphics are beautiful they’re great, the soundtrack was good but needed a little more work. The details on the characters like the eye balls were incredible and the blood on the character when you kill someone. The gameplay was alright but out of date for this generation. But none of that impacts the story in any way. The story just completely bombed the game for me, the ending had me depressed, like what the **** happens afterwards, why did Ellie have to lose 2 fingers and lose the ability to play the guitar and why did Dina have to leave, what **** writing, That ending really annoyed me like what the **** we needed to have Abby die or Joel die at the end. Joel’s death really pissed me off as well he shouldn’t have died to a ****ing GOLF CLUB!!!!! He would never trust anyone like them. The story let me down and the last of us franchise is not the last of us without Joel and Ellie and we got about two hours of them together throughout the game also when playing as Abby it was so difficult to carry on because her character is just so terrible also you have to play as her for 10 hours and it is equivalent to doing chores for hours on end not doing what you want. This game would be like if Harry Potter said to Lord Voldemort after hunting him down and then finally getting there and then fighting him and then getting a memory of lily and James and then saying **** it you can go. What a let down of 7 years of waiting. My Overall Rating would be a two just for the graphics and the soundtrack. You have to watch videos of Abby dying Over and over As they are so funny and because you reading this probably hate her too. This is a genuine review for me after playing it myself. Please save your money for Cyberpunk or Ghost of Tsushima.… Expand

Sencillamente cagaron la historia amigos con un mensaje de no ala venganza pero abby la concluye su venganza y más encima vive , mataron al mejor personaje alas primeras horas de juego y más encima me hacen manejar en el transcurso d ela historia ala abby la cual Mati a Joel me parece desagradable de verdad ahí que admitir cuando la cagan ya que yo como muchos pague 55.000 pesos chilenos lo cual no es poco para alfinal desepcionarme con el fuerte de este juego su historia técnicamente está bien sus gráficos igual pero en este juego el fuerte es su historia y no estuvo bien ahí que decirlo alos que le gustó bien es sus gusto pero vamos varios de los que están poniendo malas notas acá es por qué no nos gustó su historia no es la homofobia vamos que me importa un carajo si elie es travesti o lesbiana o bisexual me da igual que ami me enfurece su historia ya que para mí se cagaron su historia ojalas que si hacen una tercera parte no la haga el mismo gionista , vi muchas reseñas del videojuego una vez que lo termine para ver si alguien pensaba como yo y el que le hacerte más es un youtuber jino es una excelente reseña incluso se remodifica la historia y hace un genial final y transcurso de la historia mucho mejor que la que se usó en el juego… Expand
