    The game is amazing. Gives an appropriate view on revenge addiction, which Ellie is blinded by. A perfect ending to a story with incredible storytelling order that makes you question your empathy and moral choices that have been made in the first part.

Es un juego muy bueno, sus gráficos son muy buenos, la jugabilidad es muy cómoda, sinceramente durante avanzas en la historia te das cuenta de tantos puntos muy específicos y hablando como una estudiante de psicología y a poco de salir, el adentrarte en la vida de cada personaje es muy muy interesante y muy bien desarrolladas. Tal vez a muchas personas no les agrada la idea de compartir o jugar la parte de lo que te hacen creer un "villano", pero te das cuenta que en realidad no hay "villanos" son personas que al final sufren pérdidas muy fuertes y que te enseñan que de alguna manera el buscar venganza y lograrlo (cómo lo hace Abby) no te da paz de ninguna forma, es más te aleja de las personas que siguen ahí y que te aman y sobre todo que estarán ahí para apoyarte y no dejarte sola o solo. Esa perspectiva que te dan tanto con Ellie y con Abby es simplemente fantástica, al principio me enoje mucho cuando Abby mato a Joel, pero después cuando comienza el viaje de Ellie con Dina, me di cuenta que en verdad no hay muertes dignas, Joel murió como una persona podría morir dentro de un apocalipsis donde engaño, mato, robo a personas que probablemente solo querían sobrevivir, claro que el también lo hizo por sobrevivir pero esos actos no fueron los correctos y al final sabíamos que un día Joel tendría un final así dado al odio que muchos personajes dentro del juego le tenían al personaje. Una de las cosas muy interesantes dentro del juego es que ocupan mucho la psicología del color con respecto al estado mental tanto de Ellie, cómo de Dina, Abby, y otros personajes, lo cual es muy importante porque todo esto se refleja dentro de los paisajes y escenarios donde están los personajes.… Expand

    The writing and directing was abysmal, to the point where you simply do not want to play the game anymore. Graphics, music, sound design and animations were absolutely amazing, but none of that matters when the story is trash. Gameplay is meh but that's always been the case even with the previous game.

    Respecto a la jugabilidad y gráficos no tengo nada que decir, me encantó, era como vivir una aventura en carne y hueso. La trama a nivel personal me gustó, hubieron tanto momentos impactantes y crueles como conmovedores y eso hizo que brindara muchos momentos que cuesten superar. Al terminar el juego solo puedo decir que no creí lo que había visto, fue una experiencia que se asemeja a loRespecto a la jugabilidad y gráficos no tengo nada que decir, me encantó, era como vivir una aventura en carne y hueso. La trama a nivel personal me gustó, hubieron tanto momentos impactantes y crueles como conmovedores y eso hizo que brindara muchos momentos que cuesten superar. Al terminar el juego solo puedo decir que no creí lo que había visto, fue una experiencia que se asemeja a lo que sucedería en la vida real, muertes realistas y personas no siendo vistos solo como villanos, sino como personas grises que hacen acciones buenas y malas. Hubieron cosas que en la trama no me interesaron mucho, pero creo que esto es más a nivel personal como el jugar con cierto personaje, parte de su trama me encantó, pero habían aspectos de su vida que no me interesaban. El vivir este viaje con Ellie me encantó y a la vez el ver como actúa y se desarrolla en esta situación me parecieron geniales. El final si me hizo pensar y llegar a comprender por qué se hizo lo que se hizo y eso me gusta, que se pueda llegar a pensar sobre todo lo que tuvimos que digerir.
    También me hubiera gustado que se nos introdujeran un poco más de información sobre algunos personajes, darle mas protagonismo a otros para que sean mucho mas entrañables de lo que pudieron llegar a ser.    … Expand

    Horrible story ! Naughty dog really dropped the ball on this one , the beautiful graphics and smooth gameplay can’t make up for the horrendous story . They took some of the best written characters and killed one of them off and then wrote the other one to be unlikeable in an attempt to make us sympathize with one of the most poor written characters ever !

This game will definitely not be everyone's cup of tea, story wise and gameplay wise, but I think that everyone can find something to genuinely enjoy while playing through this game. I believe that many of the negative reviews stem from the progressive motives of the game and the death of Joel early on in the game. Noa on to my my opinion. The gameplay is better than it was in The Last Of Us Part 1. The story has some problems for sure, but nothing overly egregious. The death of Joel could have played out better. And I wish they had focused more on Ellie than they did on Abby, instead of attempting to make us like a character that did horrible things to Joel… Expand

Of course not everything was perfect. which is why i’m giving it a nine. but the music. the world. the gameplay. the story. it was honestly so good. people rated this game bad because of joel dying. him dying doesn’t make the entire game suck. people need to realize that’s the entire point of this game. which is why it’s good. they told it so well and did it in a very unique way. showing both sides of the story. abbys, and ellie’s. and it all makes sense. was i upset when Joel died? ofc i was. i had to pause the game and i cried for a solid 5 min. but the game was still so good. i’m about to do a survivor playthrough and i can’t wait.… Expand

There were a couple of minor issues that might reduce it to 9.5 but that’s it. I know a lot of people are pissed because certain character died and how they died. Si bien esta secuela ha carecido de esa gran historia que nos presentó el juego original; aún es un juego sumamente disfrutable. They basically ruined everything that was good about the first game, pretty much for nothing. The game looked and sounded good and gameplay was ok, but the game felt like it dragged on as the game progressed.     Why is this the Last of Earth Part 2? All of the character and personality of the characters in Part 1 are only Ellie's cursing and sexual identity. Joel became senile dementia, and Ellie forgot the expression and memories of her last part 1.
    This continues in part 2. Tommy told Maria to stop Eli's revenge, but later appeared suddenly and asked to take revenge. Abby was the character who justified Eli's sacrifice and became very angry when a colleague died. Later, however, she kills a colleague herself to save a rev.

    I tried to show through Elie that revenge is chained and only emptiness remains, but Eli didn't take revenge. After stopping revenge, Elie loses her father, friends, families, and her finger. Abby, who was cleanly revenged, was forgiven and returned to fireflies with her companion Rev. Even looking at this alone, revenge seems better.

    The game-play was not bad and the graphics were good, but I think the most important thing in the last of us is the story. I removed 7 points from the story. And I removed one more point from the rainbow and Jewish symbols not needed.    … Expand

The story is god awful, pacing is terrible (especially in places where there are flashbacks, like those could have been switched around to ease up the dramatic twists happening super early in the game), and the characters' actions make no sense. You know some of these characters from the first game, you know how they act and carry themselves around but here IT MAKES NO SENSE WHAT THEY DO. The theme is the most generic thing ever compared to the unique theme of the first game. Overall dont even bother, I'm only giving a 4 because of how good the graphics are and the writing in the flashbacks were pretty decent, otherwise it would be a complete 0.… Expand

    It is so well developed that I find myself feeling at a loss of words for it, like anything I would say, it would make it no justice.

    First of all, it shows us that in a war, there is no right or wrong, no war is a justified war. All sides are cruel. All sides loses (not only their people, but their very own humanity). It talks about fascism, religion fanaticism, it talks about sexuality, includes different ethnicities (and particularly, as an asian myself, I was very pleased with fellow asian characters).

    But Naughty Dog must’ve felt that wasn’t enough: I have never, in my life, felt so many emotions while playing a game. And not only that, how the game managed to lead my emotions exactly how it wanted to, the way it wanted to. And not just one at a time. A big ball of mixed emotions all together and bursting. I felt love, sadness, anger, empathy, compassion, horror to human cruelty... all apart and together at the same time. And because we, as players just watching those experiences, feel like that, we can understand how big of a mess must be the characters emotions, because theoretically they are living it. And besides all that, the human relations this game has built are so well put together and truly feel genuine. There’s no such thing as black and white. Right ou wrong. Perfect hero or monstrous villain. I lost track how many times my emotions were so all over the place that I actually cried (and not that rolling-down-cute-tears kinda crying, it was the ugly-cry kinda crying). Or how many times I was literally with my mouth open.

    If it were possible to nominate a game to Oscar, I think The Last of Us Part II would deserve to be nominated. This go beyond the gaming world. This is truly a masterpiece. To be able to play it, it was an experience I’m sure I will cherish forever.    … Expand

The graphics, the score, the story, the acting, the gameplay, the character development... everything is 10 out of 10 out of 10 out of 10. I think this one even just replaced the first game as my all-time favorite.

Honestly about four or five times throughout the game I thought I was at the end and for the first few I thought, “ehhh decent story but not that great.” Then the story kept going. What it ended up being is a masterpiece, better than the original. This game forces you to play as Abby, the one who killed our beloved Joel. When it first switched to her I didn’t want to play with her. Was I wrong. She’s now my favorite character in the series. She has so much depth to her. The entire game uses this to show us there are two sides to every conflict and who is evil is merely due to where you’re standing. Abby overcomes her hate in some respects but can’t let go of it in others. It’s the most true example of human nature I’ve ever seen in a video game. The two games together could be studied over a semester in the same way we studied classic literature in high school and college. I can’t say enough good about this game. Don’t listen to the people who hate it. This is truly and honestly the best game I’ve ever played. I loved it so much in fact I created an account just to review it (never reviewed a game before).… Expand

The gameplay had very welcomed improvements sure as being a to go prone and jumping as well not have make shives every two seconds. The story took you on an emotional ride. I was little off took when you played as Abby for the second half of the game. Tho it help flushed out her motivations for killing Joel at the beginning of game and gave her good character arc. At the end of the game I liked both Ellie, and Abby and didn’t want either one to die. I look forward to seeing if they make a part 3… Expand

    I don't know where people are getting these horrid reviews because I think it's one of the best games out there right now! As a matter of fact I absolutely hated the ending to last of us part 1 but I still love the game! I see some people saying they're confused about how the story goes and what the plot is you must not a played it because it's pretty clear!

The only good characters from TLOU are different, Ellie isn't the same, Tommy isn't the same, Joel isn't the same, and hell, even Maria isn't the same. Ellie is now a girl with no emotion who is only looking to "kill everyone". Dina and Jessie also feel empty, like they're there for no reason.

    Gameplay feels exactly the same. There were barely any changes to it except a prone and jump (which you barely ever use in the game). For 2020 it feels outdated and boring.

    Ending is horrible, unsatisfying and feels like you wasted those 20+ hours that this game gives you. So, final thoughts: the game is gorgeous and is Naughty Dog's best looking game, but all of that beauty is drowned out by a story so horrible, that I just wanted to quit this game and never play it again. For 60£, this game is a mess. I would never like to see a 3rd game, ever.

    Awesome AAA game from a great studio.
    Made in a way that leaves it to you, the player, on how you feel about the characters. Every character has their reasons for doing what they do, but how you feel about them is left to you. I loved it.

The game play is the same as last time and primarily is a standard stealth combat mechanic geared towards pushing the story forward. since the game play is still enjoyable like the last game I wont rate this zero.

    The story however is a 0/10, the narrative is disjointed and full of flashbacks. the characters are unlikable. making the main character the killer of the previous games beloved characters is a horrible decision. finally the finale of the game ends up like a soggy noodle. How can ones narrative have you kill hundreds of people and then wuss out at the end and let your target go. The story is fundamentally unenjoyable and makes one not care for playing the game.    … Expand

Killing off such a memorable character, and spitting on his bashed skull, by a character we don't care about at all, is the dumbest move in the history of all videogame stories. Graphics wise, a phenomenal jump. Gameplay wise, atmosphere wise, a revolutionary jump. But the sad news is, no one played TLOU 1 for the graphics or gameplay, they played it for the next cut-scene, for the storyline.

    They used Joel as a marketing material, and didn't even give him a respectable death, if his death was that necessary. Joel, a survivor for 30+ years in this apocalypse, openly trusts Abby's group and says his name in front of an armed group. The intention of naughty dog is to make Joel, one of the best videogame characters, a stupid person, who would literally let his guard down in front of an armed stranger group?

    And the ending is the worst. Why play with Abby's perspective for 10+ hours, when in the end Ellie spares Abby, losing everything, hir girl, her father figure, and even her fingers. This game doesn't feel even a bit like the first game, only the backstory is the most memorable part in this game, and that's why it earned a 1/10 from me.     Yes, the game has its issues with logical holes and gameplay, but the main idea and philosophy of the game are so much bigger, so I just didn't care about everything else.
    There's neither Good nor Evil in real life. Just your choices and consequences, which may be good for some people and horrible for others at the same time. TLOU2 is not the first game representing this philosophy, but this is definitely one of the best realizations so far.
    10/10 for me.

    I feel really sorry for all those people supporting that dirty trolling and behaving like that on socials and on Youtube. Just stop, guys. Most of you so upset by the game just because you all expected something similar to the first game, but it turned out to be different. I understand that we all have our favorite characters that we want to be alive forever. But good stories don't work quite like that (remember Game of Thrones for example). There's a much bigger picture in this game.

Ich würde mich wirklich freuen wenn das Rating nochmal hochgeht das ich auch nicht verstehen kann wie die Wertung so sein kann obwohl nur 6%aller Spieler weltweit die Trophäe für das durchspielen erhalten haben und ich hoffe das die Leute die es noch durchspielen ihm eine bessere Wertung geben.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Naughty Dog The Last of us Part 2 is a master piece and just the sequel we needed for the incredible world that Naughty Dog built for us. Not only are the graphics beautiful, the game play swift and smooth but the story is just as emotional as the first game. I loved playing Abbys part of the game and seeing her perspective of the story made me feel sorry for what happened to her, but I feel like it would've been better as a DLC as it seems to slow the flow and pace of the story at one of the most intense parts.

Игру, по моему мнению, не испортила даже перенасыщеность "гендерных проблем", хотя изначально мне казалось, что это убьёт сюжет. Но нет, к моменту развязки все это ушло на второй план. Выводы, которые делают герои по ходу игры очень сильно меняют героев и это видно по их решениям - от начальной тяги к мести герои приходят к мысли, что месть - ничего не изменит.
    Но есть одно, от чего моё сердце до сих пор разрывается - смерть Джоэла. Из за этого хотелось понизить оценку на 3-4 балла, но я сдержался. Ведь я понимаю, что не все должно быть так, как мне хочется. Это - жизнь. И игра следует тому же правилу. Разработчики не побоялись хейта за принятие непопулярного и осуждаемого в обществе решения. И это круто. Немногие студии могут этим похвастать.
    Хотя мне кажется, что я бы смог решить эту проблему без смерти такого яркого, самобытного и колоритного персонажа, как Джоэл. Однако, к сожалению, не я работаю в компании.

We waited 7 years to play this game and how does the director awards us o yeah by brutally killing Joel in the first hour and then have another character that looks like Niel, spit on his lifeless body and then you play as the person who killed Joel for 10 hours as way of sympathizing with the antagonist.the game actively tries to get us to sympathize with the antagonist but it feels forced.its like the development were trying to erase our memories of Joel and Ellie by demonizing them one way or the other .Gameplay is fine, few changes here and their and was the only reason I played the whole thing.. graphics are really good, The game looks amazing but I played for the story so overall I was disappointed.… Expand

If you wanna get amazing game-play and cool graphics, you just have to try this game. In general, plot is okay but it might be better. Not better than first part.

    This game was amazing, sure it had some odd decisions but it played out brilliantly. Loved every second and going back on NewGame+ on Survivor difficulty to get the Platinum trophy

    6 hours into the game, and i can say, dont listen to some kids that cant afford this game and are seeing some random parts of the game off YouTube and getting but hurt because of LGBT part of the game. It is fantastic, as good as 1st one. It is grim, sometimes too much, but still fantastic. Highly recommend.

    I got the game the day it came out and played it everyday until I finished it. The did break my heart and gave me a story I was not expecting, but in the end I love it. Game of the year contender for sure.

    Simultaneously the most well-made, big budget game and the worst video game sequel ever.

    Pros: - This is one of the most visually impressive games I've ever played. Near photo realistic at times and character animations (except picking up loot!) are exceptional - The gameplay has improved from the first, with larger word design, greater arsenal of weapons, character moves and smarter    Simultaneously the most well-made, big budget game and the worst video game sequel ever.

    Pros:

    - This is one of the most visually impressive games I've ever played. Near photo realistic at times and character animations (except picking up loot!) are exceptional

    - The gameplay has improved from the first, with larger word design, greater arsenal of weapons, character moves and smarter enemy AI, enabling to play how you want and move dynamically between action and stealth

    - Excellent sound design. Playing this game with headphones made enemy encounters tense and the sounds from the infected horrific

    - The performances in this game are top notch, taking motion capture to a whole new level. even the slightest movements, glances and unique character mannerisms are picked up in these great performances

    Cons:

    - In an attempt to expand the world of the Last of Us and make a bigger story that "subverts" expectations, the story is significantly dumber than the first game. Characters behave uncharacteristically, and some scenes have characters suddenly having a change of heart, as if they are bipolar. And this is not just with the main characters but even with the supporting cast. Also the overall theme of the "circle of violence and revenge" is highly unsubtle and bordering on the level of pretentiousness. This emotional weight of this theme is nullified by the game's brutal gameplay, which is more visceral and also includes dogs as enemies. While Part 1 also had the player commit violent acts against many foes, it was a story a familiar bond between characters, protecting one another and hoping to reach the Fireflies and potentially creating a vaccine that could save humanity. The game was about surviving a brutal world, where nobody is truly free of sin, but the net positive of potentially saving humanity outweighed the negatives of killing so many. But this game makes you hoardes of people for and tries to make you feel bad when certain characters are killed in cutscenes. There was no emotional weight to these moments, with one particular death making me laugh at loud at how the game tried to emotionally blackmail you for killing, when hours prior you were already conditioned to the same act to others.

    The game's pacing is all over the place, often killing any momentum that had been built. There are even flashbacks within flashbacks, which could have easily been avoided had certain scenes and gameplay sections were reordered in a more linear fashion. The game failed to create any emotional attachment to the second protagonist, due to poor placing of their gameplay sections and the stupid decision to remove any character/weapon upgrades. I know that this is a new character but you could have at least given the player resources from the get-go so the player could immediately purchase some upgrades or have some skills pre-unlocked. This decision made it feel like playing a game for 10 hours only to have your save corrupt and having to start the game again, highly demoralising.

    The game is also far too long, especially the 2nd characters sections. There are even some story beats that do not go anywhere and feel like needless padding. Finally, while I didn't like the way the intro played out, although I understand the reason but felt the execution was poor, the ending is absolutely abysmal, and goes against the main theme the story kept hitting you over the head with. They could've followed through with their theme to its logical conclusion or at least given the player the choice in the final confrontation, which would have had a far stronger emotional weight. But in the end the game ends on a whimper than leaves you feeling empty, and questioning why you even played it to begin with.

    I don't normally hold game stories as high as books or movies, due to the gameplay from most AAA breaking any sense of emersion the story was supposed to tell. But as someone who thought the Last of Us 1 was a major step in the right direction of video game story telling, setting a new bar in the medium, I'm obviously going to extra critical to the story of the sequel. Overall I was disappointed in that regard. I respect the decision to go back to these characters, this world and tell a darker story, I even respect that they made such a bold choice in the beginning. But the execution was so poor, with terrible pacing and an underlying theme that contantly and unsubtlely beats you over the head in a pretentious manner, and an ending that is just the wettest fart in the wind.    … Expand

    Well ive gone through the story and its awful, the graphics, sound music and level design is some of the best but its just such a slog to play and not fun to play as a certain character.
    If you liked the first game, save your money and buy Desperados III or Ghost of Tsusima when it comes out.

    I got chance to get my hands on the game a day before the official release. And I must say that I've never experienced such an immerse and intense game ever before. I really expected a lot of this game and it just completely blew me away from the beginning. The game play is incredibly smooth, the story is really intense, well-written and caught me right away. Definitely a GOTY-candidate for me.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
